Good day, sweet world, and welcome to the no Dun Emergency podcast. It's Sunday, June 22, 2025. I'm J. Skeets here in the Classic Factory and alongside me, it's the bearded one, Trey Kirby.
Trey Kirby
Hey.
J. Skeets
And over yonder, making the magic happen, super producer JD Hello. There he is. Here we are, Game seven of the NBA Finals.
Trey Kirby
We're breaking it all down.
J. Skeets
It's tonight, but hashtag this league, man. Oh my goodness. Before we get into it, hello to everybody on YouTube. Do us a solid. Hit the like button. Subscribe. We do this daily here at the Classic Factory. Podcast listeners, leave your boys a five star rating and review. Deep breath, everyone. We now turn to the Southern lawyer who has an announcement.
Trey Kirby
We got ourselves a trade.
J. Skeets
Oh, yeah, we do. Again. On the day of Game 7 of the NBA Finals, we got a Kevin Durant trade. This guy loves being traded on big days. July 4th. Now game seven of the NBA Finals equivalent really picks his spots. According to multiple sources. At this point, it's all but confirmed. You know the Phoenix Suns are trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets in exchange For Jalen Green, Dylan brooks, the number 10 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and then five second round picks. Now, I will say this trade can't be formally completed until July 6th when we like get into the new league year. But it's happening. Durant is going to the Houston Rockets. TK your immediate reaction here to this blockbuster.
Trey Kirby
Wow, Mom. Wow. I was with my mom when this happened driving home from the Super Mercado. I'm very excited to eat my pork Pastor tacos. I said, this is gonna have to wait. Kevin Durant just got traded.
JD
She said, is that a big deal?
Trey Kirby
I said, that's a huge deal. We've been waiting for it.
J. Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
For months. It kind of feels like. And it finally went down, I think. Not a surprise it ended up being the Rockets. Definitely a surprise when you look at the return for the Suns, because there were a lot of names thrown around in the Rockets potential deal ahead of time. Jalen Green was always included, which he was in this one, but it was always, are they going to be able to get Jabari Smith Jr. Are they going to be able to get Reed Shepherd, Cam Whitmore? These guys who are still prospects on the Rockets that haven't really been able to break into the rotation because they're such a stacked team. None of those guys are included. Are the Suns going to be able to get back their picks that they traded to the Nets in the original Kevin Durant trade, which made their way to the Rockets in the Mikhail Bridges trade? In a roundabout sort of way, Those aren't included either.
J. Skeets
Right, Right. Just the real pick here is the number 10. They're getting number 10, which is that.
Trey Kirby
But Dylan Brooks is the other guy going through. I do think the Rockets will miss Dylan Brooks a little bit. Brings the defense, the professionalism, the attitude. They kind of played like a Dylan Brooks team in the past couple of seasons. But this is awesome for the Houston Rockets to be able to keep the Sun's future, to be able to keep their future. I think you would say keeping Jabari Smith, Amen Thompson, Alper and Shen Goon. Those are probably the top three prospects on the Rockets, depending about how you feel about Jalen Green. They also are keeping Reed shepherd. They're keeping Cam Whitmore, Tari Eason. Tari Eason. Like to be able to bring in Kevin Durant and not really give up much of your rotation is huge.
J. Skeets
Yeah. And I think maybe a big part of this too. Like we knew Durant wanted to go to either one of the Texas teams. Be it spurs or the Rockets. Then there was the idea of the Miami Heat. I wonder how much his relationship with IME Udoka, the head coach, sort of got this across the finish line. You know, Udoka just signed the massive extension to be the long term coach of the Houston Rockets and they, they have a relationship again back with the Nets days, USA Basketball. So I think that played a part. But your mind immediately goes to, you know, what were the spurs offering for KD or how serious were they? And what about the Miami Heat and what made this ultimately the one that the Phoenix Suns decided to make the move for and say, okay, I guess that's enough because again, it's one pick and it's a good pick. And I'm going to, I'm assuming they're going to want to try and get Malawatch, let's say if he slips to number 10, I don't know if the Raps take him. They probably want a center like an athletic big. So they get that pick. But then, yeah, Jalen Green, Dylan Brooks and then just these second rounders and a lot of people wondering like is Jalen Green even going to play a second in a Phoenix Suns uniform or is he going to be rerouted to another team and maybe they get either more players back or more potential draft capital?
Trey Kirby
I'm sure we'll hear about the spurs offer in the days to come, probably, maybe even before game seven actually starts out here. But from the Suns perspective, we knew they had very little leverage. That was the news coming out of Phoenix during the last week. Everybody has known Kevin Durant was going to be traded since February. Really hurts their prospects. So if you're a Phoenix fan, you're saying, look, we got what we were asking for, we got a young player, we got a veteran and we got a lottery pick. Now are these the three of those that people would have chosen? Certainly not. I'm with you. I don't think Jalen Green sticks around long term in Phoenix. It just doesn't make sense. Devin Booker is the main guy there. Bradley Beal is still going to be around because he can't be traded, Right? So where does Jalen Green really fit in? I think it's kind of curious that the Pat Conniton opting into his player option happens at the same time. Because if you add up Kyle Kuzma plus Pat Connon, that equals Jalen Green, who's throwing in a draft pick. That's, that's up to you to decide. I don't know who's getting the Weirder end of the deal there. But I think the Suns must like what they're getting, especially in Dylan Brooks. I think that's a big pickup for them. He's going to bring to Phoenix what he brought to Houston, what he brought in Memphis. Sometimes it goes over the edge. But what when you're starting, when you're trying to like build up your team and kind of get back in the swing of things, I think Dylan Brooks is a valuable guy to have. Like what he has brought to his previous spots is exactly what Phoenix needs, somebody who cares on defense, somebody who's going to yell at you if you make a mistake. That's something sorely needed in Phoenix, I think. So.
J. Skeets
He did his part with the Houston Rockets.
Trey Kirby
He did his part with the Houston Rockets and I think they will, they'll miss his leadership a little bit. But this is, that's maybe the thing I was most excited about for the Suns is getting Dylan Brooks.
J. Skeets
Right.
Trey Kirby
And that's a tough spot to be.
J. Skeets
And I think the Rockets, you know, maybe they didn't want to initially include Dylan Brooks, but you could see why the Suns would want to play her like that. But they're like, it's okay, we have Ahmed Thompson.
Trey Kirby
Exactly.
J. Skeets
It's like this guy leveled up obviously early in his career here. Can probably only get better. You would hope, especially on the offensive end. He's already like an all NBA defender, so you can sort of replace that defense. You know, they, they have some holes here and let's get into like how this fits. Like Kevin Durant, you know, obviously getting up there in age, going to be 37, but still a prolific scorer in this league. And he seems to on paper. I mean it has similarities to like what happened with Bain going to the Orlando Magic where it's like, oh, they lack that scoring. They go get Desmond Bain a 40% three point shooter. The Rockets, they lack any sort of like isolation. Go get your own bucket jumper shooter. They go get Kevin Durant, arguably one of the greatest of all time. So it makes sense to me on paper. What was your reaction to Katie sliding in here?
Trey Kirby
I think this is great for the Rockets like we saw in the playoffs. This is exactly what they needed is somebody who can get you a bucket at the end of games. Because if it was Jalen Green on a hot streak and he said that's awesome. I feel like a lot of Rockets games during the last season came down to Fred Van Vliet chucking a step back jumper. And if he's having a hot shooting night. Those can go in and if not, it's a riskier proposition. Kevin Durant isn't a very risky proposition at the end of the game, so he's going to get you a good shot and it's going to be probably 17ft. So I think it fits nice there. But on the drive over the whole time I'm thinking who's starting for the Rockets because they did trade two guards for one forward. They're really thin at the guard spot. Fred Van Vliet will be back, I assume. Amen. Thompson is going to be a permanent starter.
J. Skeets
So he starts either at the two or three, whatever you want.
Trey Kirby
Exactly. Like their forwards are sweet. Ain't no doubt about that. KD will be the 3, slash 4, whatever you want to call it. And then Shen Gun will be their traditional sort of big guy. Most likely, I think Jabari Smith Jr. Kind of steps into the role as the fifth starter. He doesn't need the ball a ton. He's a good shooter, not a great shooter. 36% last year. I think he's like a 35% guy, but versatile as a defender. Can guard a little bit up, can guard a little bit down and can obviously guard the wings. So they're going to have to find guards. I think Reed shepherd will get a chance, but they're probably going to want a veteran as well. So I think Bobby Marks was saying this trade probably gets opened up bigger for apron concerns for Houston because they're still going to need some guys. But I like the starting five of Fred Thompson, Katie Shengoon and Jabari. Like that's a great place to start. You've got these guys coming off the bench. I think Whitmore can at least be a scorer. We'll see what Reed shepherd can do in year two if he's able to take any sort of strides defensively, which will then get him more trust from Ime Udoka. And then Tar Eason is just like a chaos dude. He's going to grab offensive rebounds, he's going to run the court, he's going to make things happen. They just signed Stephen Adams, so they got a backup center. Like things are looking good in Houston and the question was going to be does Kevin Durant kind of end the future for Houston? Are they saying we're in win now mode? I think they are in win now mode, but they didn't really have to give up any of their long term pieces. Depending on how you feel about Jalen Green. I'm not big on Jalen Green, so I think this is actually good for the Rockets to get off of his contract. I would rather pay Kevin Durant the next two seasons than I would rather pay Jalen Green.
J. Skeets
And that's the thing. I think a lot of people are wondering, like, maybe they're not done here because you're saying there is a bit of a hole now at these, especially at the guard position. Like, can they make another move? Could it be with Jock Landale's contract and some of that other draft capital that they still have now? I don't know who that is. You know, can they. Can they go get like a Quinton Grimes or something like that? I'm not sure how that would work out money wise, but I don't think they're done. I really don't. Because there's some glaring holes there at the guard position because holy crap, are they stacked.
Trey Kirby
And that's the other thing.
J. Skeets
They could still pivot and send out a Cam Whitmore or send out, I mean, a Nissan for like a really good, juicy player. So what a move here. The question we have on YouTube, right before we went live, we posted the poll. Are the rockets contenders with KD? Simple yes or no. Right now, 61% say yes, 39% say no. How would you be voting in that poll? Are they instant contenders currently, as the roster shakeup?
Trey Kirby
What is a contender? Can they make the conference final?
J. Skeets
I look at that as a Final Four team, a legitimate Final Four.
Trey Kirby
I think so. I think they could, depending on how the bracket breaks. Yeah, it's kind of how it always comes down to, but, you know, they went to seven games against the Warriors. If they've got a score at the end of games, maybe they take that series. Now, the warriors didn't equip themselves very well in the next round. A lot out with Steph Curry being hurt. But I think matchup wise, if it is perfect for the Rockets, definitely they have a chance. You know, Fred Van Vliet's a pretty good playoff performer. These guys have now gone through the playoffs one time in a stressful series. So that definitely helps their playoff bona fides going forward. I think they the goal for the Rockets should be top four seed next season in the Western Conference, and that's the goal for about eight teams is top four seed in the Western Conference. So it's going to be tight, but it's like, hey, you got a leg up on the Spurs. Now they were a team who was going to be theoretically in the Kevin Durant sweepstakes as well. A team that we think will take another step forward next year. Kind of it feels like they're maybe one year behind the Rockets in their development path. Right? It was like the Rockets made a run at the play in tournament. Didn't happen then this year they did make the playoffs, didn't win. Spurs made a run in the play in tournament this season. Maybe next year they're a playoff team. But I think they're the, the, the fact that the Rockets are the team that did a deal for Kevin Durant keeps them ahead of the spurs and the pecking order in the Western Conference. So I mean the west has been loaded. You know, this only makes the top a little bit heavier because Phoenix was at best a play in team with Kevin Durant. I think they probably, I think a good season for the Rock or for the Suns right now is making the play in tournament and we'll see if that happens. But for the Rockets, they should be one of the more competitive teams out West.

And you think it's a no brainer here? Extension is right around the corner because Durant has his current contract. 55 million. Let's call it. Let's round up for him 54, 54.7 if we're being specific. And then he is eligible for this two year extension worth up to 122 million. I think that was a part of the conversation here that he will maybe. Kevin Durant is finishing his career with the Houston Rockets.
Trey Kirby
I think he's going to sign the contract.
J. Skeets
He's going home where he started it all, playing obviously in the Lone Star State in college. He's going to wrap it up there.
Trey Kirby
His basketball counts as going home.
J. Skeets
I guess so, yeah, a little bit.
Trey Kirby
Going to a different city in Texas where you didn't grow up and spent one year at home, that's a curveball on the Cowboys as far as Houston, even from Santa Ana or from Austin, I bet it's far.
J. Skeets
Got to be far.
Trey Kirby
It's a ridiculously big stage, that stage. Too big actually. Yeah, if I'm being honest. But I don't. I mean, who knows with Kevin Durant. Yeah, year one will be good. Year two will probably be good. Year three, could he be advocating to go somewhere else and try and get another ring? That's certainly possible, but I think he's going to sign the extension. I don't think this deal gets done without that guarantee.
J. Skeets
Yeah, this is going to be his fifth franchise here because he played obviously for the Sonics slash Thunder and he played for the warriors where he won a couple titles and he played for the Nets and then he played for the Suns and now he's going to his fifth team here. Fifth franchise I guess in the Houston Rockets and still elite. I mean to go over the numbers, like Kevin Durant shot an NBA best on jumpers and mid range shots. He also had the best shooting percentage of off the dribble jumpers at like nearly 51%. Like that's his bread and butter. And you see where the rankets the Rockets, excuse me, ranked in that 27th in effective field goal percentage on off the dribble jumpers, 24th in effective field goal percentage on all type of jumpers. So again he's a premier jump shooter and shot creator and that is something they desperately needed. So they plug him in here.
Trey Kirby
54 on trey ball is OD shooting hang pulls. That literally is talking about shooting the ball off the dribble. And you think about the guy shooting the ball off the dribble for the Rockets last season. Thompson. No chance. Fred Van Vliet flip a coin, it might go in. Dylan Brooks? No, thank you. Jalen Green, he's a flip a coin kind of guy as well. So definitely there's last five seconds of the shot clock. Offense gets better with Kevin Durant. And look, he's an older player. He'll be 37 right at the start of next season. I think the Rockets are well positioned to deal with any injuries to Kevin Durant. They've got three good backup, small forward, slash power forwards.
J. Skeets
That's true. Like so even if he misses 20, 25 games, they can withstand it. Yeah, that's a good point. Did you see that Kevin Durant found out this news while he was on stage at Fanatics Fest in New York City. I think he was doing a little sit down interview with Taylor Rooks. Yeah, you know, just chopping it up. And then you could hear the buzz from the crowd, the sham alerts on their phone going, hey man, you just got traded. He played it very cool. I thought he played it very cool. Yeah, he may be new, I guess. I don't know.
Trey Kirby
He had to have known.
J. Skeets
It seemed like it. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
He couldn't have been that surprised, right?
J. Skeets
Right. I guess. Did he know what the. The pieces were? Did he know, did he know it was Delamere? Single second round pick included in this? I'm not sure. From the sun side of things, like anything more with them, you know, you feel like you sound, excuse me, like you think they did okay to get at least the Dylan Brooks piece and maybe it's a TBD on what they get back for Jalen Green if they move off of him.
Trey Kirby
I think Dylan Brooks is my favorite piece that they got back. Depending on what happens with the 10th pick, maybe they hit on it or maybe they decide to put it in a package with their other first round pick. I think they've got 29 this year, so maybe 10 and 29 plus Jalen Green. Get something done for a player that you really like. Because you look at the roster now, they don't have anybody over six foot six that you want playing.
J. Skeets
Right.
Trey Kirby
And that's including Royce o' Neill. Like he's six, six. He's on the small guy side of things. Everybody's a shooting guard at this point. For the Suns, it doesn't make any sense. Their roster right now, so they've got moves that they're going to have to be pulling, but you can find a decent player with the 10th pick. 5 second rounder sounds ridiculous, but maybe it could get you a Jay Crowder, maybe it could get you a Sadiq Bay, somebody that can play minutes for you. They just had no leverage. So they got a package that you can talk up as young prospect, good vet lottery pick. That sounds good, right? This is not a good return, but it sounds okay.
J. Skeets
And I think it leans into what I remember Sun Zone or Matt Ishbia saying after this disaster of a season and where they were going to go and what they were going to look at either in sort of drafting guys or trading for guys. And that was gritty, hard nose defenders like enough of this pretty ball. It didn't work for us. We at least need to get some defensive minded guys around Booker who they really want to keep and sounds like he wants to stay in the desert and all that. So they're really like. I mean you can't ask for a sort of a better prototype of that than. Than Dylan Brooks. So that makes sense. And I think that's maybe even keep your eyeing on what they're going to do in this draft, which is coming up on Wednesday. There's a lot going on right now. There's a big blockbuster trade, Game seven tonight and then we're going to turn around and before we know it, we're going to be talking about NBA draft on Wednesday. Crazy, crazy stuff.
Trey Kirby
Exciting times.
J. Skeets
Anything else from this deal? And if you're just joining us, hit the like button. Subscribe. Kevin Durant going to the Houston Rockets. Jalen Green, Dylan brooks the number 10 pick in the draft on Wednesday and then five second rounders.
Trey Kirby
I think it's true that Kevin Durant, after this has gone down, will have completed the rainbow for jerseys because he'll have red for Houston, orange for Phoenix. Phoenix. A yellow supersonics jersey, a green supersonics jersey. You know, that barely counts. I guess you could say there was an orange Thunder jersey maybe back in the red. Orange, yellow, green, Blue. Thunder.
J. Skeets
Yeah. Or warriors.
Trey Kirby
Also Warriors.
J. Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Violet. Oh, yeah. Purple. The Suns. Is that it? Indigo. I guess they wore those navy blue jerseys in OKC that had the stripes. Indigo's a tough one to hit, but still it's a lot of jerseys.
J. Skeets
You're right. He just needed the red. I think what they were getting at.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, he needed the red for sure.
J. Skeets
So he's got the. The Rockets.
Trey Kirby
That's exciting.
J. Skeets
That's very exciting. Good for him. I can't. I'm sure the graphic has already been made.
Trey Kirby
I'm sure it exists.
J. Skeets
They don't take long with this stuff. So. Yeah, Durant going there. To go back to that poll we've had though, like you were talking about contenders like looking ahead to the Western Conference next year. We're not even done this season. We don't even know if the Thunder are going to win at all or the Pacers are going to do the impossible. But where would you rank them in the Western Conference right now, here on Sunday, June 22nd of 2024?
Trey Kirby
I have them in third tier.
J. Skeets
Third tier in the league or the West?
Trey Kirby
Western Conference.
J. Skeets
Okay, go on.
Trey Kirby
OkC. Number one. Yeah, they're still number one. They won 68 games. I'm still giving them a lot of credit. Even if they're in game seven of the Finals, because guess what? They're in game seven of the Finals. Yeah. So OKC is there. They got the mvp. They got all these young guys. We've talked about it for a long time. I still. I still have Denver ahead of Houston.
J. Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
That's the only other team that I'm putting specifically ahead of Denver because they have Jokic. We saw how they played against the Thunder in their second round series. Could have beat him, depending on if game seven goes the complete opposite way instead of getting blown out. So I just think Denver, their track record, they've got a starting five that has been playing together for four seasons at this point. Maybe some things change. Maybe that means Michael Porter Junior's out and we're talking about a new starting lineup. Or maybe they just find out a way to beef up their supporting cast, which was kind of their downfall this year. But then I think I would have Houston in the mix with the Lakers, who we know LeBron's going to be good. We know Luke is going to be good. Uncertain of the rest of the team around them. I feel kind of similar about the Clippers. They finally had great health for the playoffs. Couldn't get out of the first round. But, you know, Tyler is going to have James Harden and Kawhi Leonard playing well. They're a team that seems to be pretty active in trade discussions. So I think that I would have Houston alongside those teams, and Minnesota and Golden State, I probably put in that tier as well. So for me, the top seven likely remains the top seven, because after that, you're getting into Memphis, Sacramento, Dallas, Phoenix, Portland, which are below the playoff teams that we're talking. Yeah, San Antonio probably jumps up into tier number four with a. Like, Memphis, Sacramento. But, yeah, I would have Houston in the same zone as the Lakers, the Clippers, Timberwolves and Warriors.
J. Skeets
Okay, okay. Well, let's hear from everybody on YouTube. I mean, the chat's going nuts here with the breaking news here. It's great to see everybody chiming in. You know, I even see people saying, hey, they got Still Holiday's contract, Jason Tate's contract. I, I do. I, I'm agreeing with whoever that was and said like, they're not done. They. I'm 100% convinced. When Toman Furtada decides like, we're going for it, he generally, like leans all into it, we're going for it. And I think, you know, again, it's a loaded Western Conference, but it all depends on matchups and obviously how this fit's gonna go and health. I mean, we do have to come back to that. I know, like, we think of these guys as absolutely invincible. But, like, he has had injuries before. He is one of the older players in the league. You know, you're gonna still be asking him to give you something defensively. I mean, that's sort of the backbone. That's their identity and that's good and you want to continue with that. But. And he is a good defender, obviously, when he is not asked to do too much, I think. But anyway, point is he's old and this could. He's old can be one injury away from going, oh, damn, what have we done? We were the second seed in the West. We were a 50 plus win team and we were building what we had. But you're going to make this move, I think at the end of the day, especially not having to give up a Jabari or an Eason or any sort of Amen Thompson or Shengun, who I think were probably untouchable anyway, and it was the one guy that sort of got squeezed here that you're maybe not convinced is ever going to be like a true playoff riser in Jalen Green. I mean, I don't mean to like diminish him. He is a great scorer and I think he's going to have a long career. But there's limitations, I think, with him maybe as your two guard.
Trey Kirby
I don't think they're going to miss him at all. Interesting, interesting. I do look forward to all the stories about, like, reed shepherd was 4 years old when Kevin Durant came into the league or something like that. Right. Like, Reed shepherd will be 21 at the start of the season. I think Cam Whitmore as well. And where's it. Kevin Durant, 37.
J. Skeets
He's 37.
Trey Kirby
Driving a car.
J. Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
So like he was. How many years ago is that? Sixteen years. What was a popular song then?
J. Skeets
You're trying to think about popular songs.
Trey Kirby
Like what songs?
J. Skeets
16 or 17.
Trey Kirby
16 year old Kevin Durant. What do you think he's driving around listening to?
J. Skeets
So we're saying it's. Oh, yeah, I see what you're saying. 2005 is what we're looking at. Ballpark. No, no, not even that. 2008 trying to load here.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, let's not. He was born in 1988, so he's the same age. Age as my sister. I doubt he was listening to Britney Spears, but I know that was very popular in her car. Maybe like, oh, I think they like me. Oh, I think they like me.
J. Skeets
That's the era.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, I think so. Big white tees.
J. Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Flo Rida. No.
J. Skeets
Might be later.
Trey Kirby
No, no. Kevin Durant, man. We're talking about Kevin Durant, okay. He didn't get traded to the Them franchise boys. That's what their name was.
J. Skeets
Ah, yeah, there you go. Well, people are saying. Yeah. Low by Flow Rider. Okay, well, thank you. Umbrella by Rihanna.
Trey Kirby
Okay.
J. Skeets
Yeah. Now that he was G unit, 50 cent. Okay.
Trey Kirby
He was an east coast guy.
J. Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Wale might be a little early. Might be a little early for Wall. Wow. Yeah.
J. Skeets
Remember when Wale got into it with Matt Devlin?
Trey Kirby
I remember that.
J. Skeets
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a crazy poll there for you guys, if you know what I'm talking about. You are a certified NBA sicko and you've been around for a long time. Okay, let's. Let's call it there again. We're have a lot more time to break this down. Task obviously couldn't get in here to the factory today on a Sunday, but he is going to be joining us, I believe tonight on a special 7pm YouTube only exclusive. We're going to do a game seven pregame show. I have a feeling a little Kevin Durant is going to seep into this show but we will make the focus about Thunder Pacers game seven. We're just going to hang out with the chat. I mean really low key, answer any questions you guys got. Just get excited for game seven, which is tonight. So that's gonna be fun. That's gonna be on YouTube. That link is already up. I'll make sure to add it to the show notes. But hopefully we see you guys on YouTube and then we got an entertaining fingers crossed game seven between these two teams tonight on ABC. We'll be back tomorrow in the factory here to break down game seven talk. I'm sure about big picture, what just happened when it comes to the Thunder either winning or losing or obviously the Pacers winning or losing. And then we'll get into some more Kevin Durant. We'll hear Tassa's thoughts at that time. That's it. What a day. Did you eat your. Did you eat your food or.
Trey Kirby
Oh, I gotta go cook it.
J. Skeets
Oh, wow. Yeah. Wow.
Trey Kirby
Okay. I haven't eaten yet today. I ate a donut and a half at church. That's it.
J. Skeets
Oh, I was at the farmer's market in your hood today.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
J. Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
How were the farmers?
J. Skeets
Farmers were good. I ate some great Syrian food. And there's like, have you seen that guy named Phil, which we talked about? Of course. French pastries, beignets. No, it was croissants and like. But, like, a cheese and egg ham sort of sandwich. It was fantastic.
Trey Kirby
Great farmers market, egg ham.
J. Skeets
I went to two farmers markets this weekend, trying to get the dog more acclimatized to being around a lot of people, a lot of kids, a lot of noise. So it's a bit of, like. That's the reason.
Trey Kirby
Great place for it.
J. Skeets
But then again, you're at a farmer's market, you're like, all right, let's get some good food.
Trey Kirby
Cheese and egg ham. Cheese and egg ham.
J. Skeets
Is that a weird way to put it? Yeah, I guess it would be.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. I think having and as the second word is really throwing me off. Yeah, it is weird.
BetterHelp
Put that on a shirt.
Trey Kirby
Hamlet and cheese.
J. Skeets
I'm a little delirious right now. There's a lot going on here.
Trey Kirby
All these farmers markets, though.
J. Skeets
I did tell you, I said it was going to happen before the draft. Happened before the draft.
Trey Kirby
That's right.
J. Skeets
I was tweeting earlier today because there were, you know, reports coming out of Phoenix that, hey, this is very close to the finish line. And I was like, watch. Watch this get announced during halftime of Game 7 of the NBA Finals. Like, let's go to Shams for this breaking report. Oh, like, don't do that.
Trey Kirby
I hope Adam stepped in and said, if you're doing it today, do it this morning. Do you.
J. Skeets
Okay, before we go, do you think it was better to do it before game seven or if this were to happen tomorrow, let's say afternoon post game 7?
Trey Kirby
I think this is the best time for it.
J. Skeets
So do I. Yeah. If. If those are our only two options, then I. Then I'm with you.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, I think it's better.
J. Skeets
Yeah. Because that if it happens after Game 7, it's like we're moving on. Like, we're, like, right away to that season. So, yeah, it's probably best. Oh, restart the music.
