Trey Kirby
A lot more people excited about voting for overrated and underrated. Oh yeah, way higher amount of people.
Je Skeets
We'll get into it, but we had some game twos to dissect here. Let's start with the knicks taking a 20 series lead. Jalen Brunson scoring 26 points as they get the 108102 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers up 20 again. Like I said in the semifinals now, no Joel Embiid suddenly ruled out with a right hip and ankle injury after waking up with soreness and being unable to go through the 76ers morning shoot around. No Mitchell Robinson for the Knicks though. He had an illness so we were down some big guys here. Tas. Obviously a huge loss for the Sixers not having Embiid, but they were scrappy and it was a game.
Trey Kirby
An absolute heartbreaker for the 76ers because they were so close. Tyrese Maxey leading the way. The Guy played almost 47 minutes. He just sat for one minute in the first quarter and they're leading. They won his minutes in that first half by seven. Even in the third quarter when the guys replacing Joel Embiid, Andre Drummond and Adam Bona get in foul trouble, here comes Dominic Barlow and that guy was playing incredible defense that this Knicks team was barely leading them at times. So into the fourth quarter with Dominic Barlow flying all over the place, blocking in the quarter, grabbing offensive rebounds to tip them out. The only problem in that fourth quarter was that the Knicks felt comfortable doubling Tyrese Maxey and then scrambling to get back to Dominic Barlow because he doesn't have a post game really. So he, he had an opportunity inside, but it didn't work out there. Still, I went back and just watched this fourth quarter because it was a two point game with four minutes left. When Jalen Brunson made that move on Dominic Barlow, it was so good I had to watch it in slow mo. I'm watching on NBA.com in slow mo and when you get the slow mo version, you hear the broadcasters doing their drunk voice like Richard Jefferson. And Barlo's done an excellent job. He's actually settled their defense.
Je Skeets
And to see how slow. Were you watching this clip, man? A 25.
Trey Kirby
It was just a 0.5. Did I do a.025? I don't know.
Tas Melis
I was like a bane. Like a slow mo bane.
Trey Kirby
Maybe, maybe. Cuz I watched it so many times I got slower. Yeah, but it was a hell of a shot. Oh my God. It's a two point game with four minutes left with nobody hitting shots in that fourth quarter to see Jalen Brunson get into his bag. And then the spin over Barlo and then VJ Edge come, misses a three point shot at the other end. The guy couldn't hit one shot in the fourth quarter. And then just a crazy Knicks play where they are able to get a basket where Josh Hart loses the ball, he's on the floor, somehow he gets it back, gives it to Og Anunoby, somehow that guy's blocked by Paul George and somehow it gets to Mikhail Bridges who gets into his bag and scores in the mid range at six points and it's over. So on the other end, Vijay Edgecombe did hit a shot in the fourth quarter, Paul George didn't hit a shot in the fourth quarter and Tyrese Maxey had a hesi after that. That was really nice. But he only went two of seven. Was he tired? I don't care about that. It was just the other guys that they played so many minutes, couldn't get them there in the fourth quarter. So close. Yeah, yeah. It was a heartbreaker.
Je Skeets
This game featured 25 lead changes, which they told us was the most in a playoff game in 11 years and 14 ties. And neither team led by more than seven points at one point. Breen said, this game has a frantic quality to it and it did for a majority of this game and even down the stretch there. But yeah, did the Sixers just completely run out of gas at the end
Tas Melis
TK I do believe so. They're going Frank Sinatra mode. Regrets? They've got a few because first and foremost the fourth quarter. One for 10 from three. They had some like desperation looks that added up in the final couple of minutes, but a lot of pretty good looks. I thought with no embiid out there, there's nobody to get like the slowdown baskets when you're bricking away from outside. It'd be nice to have a guy just hit a 15 footer or somebody else besides Maxi draw a second defender so that Maxi can play a little bit more easily and free. Yeah, the minutes definitely added up for Maxi. I think he was much better in the first half than the second half though. I was loving what I saw in the first half when he's like posting dudes up.
Je Skeets
Oh, yeah.
Tas Melis
To small induce McBride. I think you also got to throw in the fact that through 3/4 the Sixers had 16 turnovers. This shouldn't have been a clutch game. Philadelphia should have been up much bigger than they were going into the fourth quarter. But because they turned the ball over so much, let the Knicks get out in transition and turns into a clutch game that favors the home team, that favors Brunson, that favors the Knicks last night. And they pulled it out in the end. Also crazy. Like Sixers shot 12 of 24 from three through three quarters and then one for 10 in the fourth quarter.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, that's what it was, man. The fourth.
Je Skeets
They were, they were hot early. I mean, Paul George couldn't miss a three to begin this game. Kelly Oubre Jr. Was hitting corner threes on both sides, on both corners. But yeah, it dried up there. And you're right, there was a few that like that Paul George one right near the end was like that massive air ball. It's, you know, they're down 5. I think the clock is obviously running out here. You got to get a three pointer, but not even close. Bit rushed, but yeah, Vijay had a couple really solid looks, I thought. And then there was that other one. I mean, as great as he played, Dominic Barlow was awesome. He gave them a lift off the bench for sure. You know, filled up the box score, a bunch of rebounds, did score a couple blocks, but he had that one play where, yeah, they doubled on Maxi off the pick and roll up top. They hit him, the short roll, man. And he either probably should have just shot it or took it to the rim or at the very least kicked it out to VJ for three and instead he thought he could hit Kelly Oubre Jr. Cutting back door and he just. He just threw it out of bounds. It wasn't even close. Guys being asked to do a lot here in this situation. Though he did play a lot of games this year. He did start a lot of games. So I'm seeing some people reacting to Dominic Barlo today, like, who the hell is this guy? It's like, well, okay, you were not
Tas Melis
watching Sixers games at all, and I
Je Skeets
guess you're not a G guy.
Tas Melis
Skyhawks game.
Je Skeets
That's right. Skyhawks fan. But he did play this year, but. Oh, that, that one. Oh, I wish. He probably wishes he had that particular playback. Otherwise, he was great.
Tas Melis
Yeah, big turnover, but I mean, who knows if VJ even makes the shot. He was wide open. It was just an absolute brick fest. So, yeah, the Sixers are gonna regret not stealing this game. They've got to win one on the road. 11 heading back to Philadelphia, you're feeling pretty good. Instead, they got to win four again, four of five against the Knicks, who are playing their best basketball they've played yet. But maybe a silver lining for Philadelphia. Ogdenobi. The reason he missed that dunk going baseline is because he came up lame afterwards. Looked like he was grabbing at his hamstring, got blocked at the rim, asked out immediately after. OG's been at worst their second best player. I mean, I mean, I don't know. Brunson's been awesome.
Je Skeets
He's.
Tas Melis
He's kind of getting overlooked this playoff run. He's like, he's going to pour in 30 a night. Doesn't even matter. But Towns has been so good. Brunson, like I'm saying, has been good. And then OG has been nonstop throughout both rounds of this playoffs. He's their best rim defender. He's their second best rebounder. Because Towns does pile up the rebounding numbers for sure. But if there ain't any og, Anunoby. That does help out the Sixers because Paul George can guard Carl Anthony Towns, which lets Bona or Drummond or Barlow or maybe Embiid comes back, lets them roam a little bit more. That helps the defense for Philadelphia for sure if there's no OG out there. But we'll see. We'll see how much time he actually ends up missing.
Je Skeets
Yeah, we don't know. I don't think even as of this morning, like last night, Brown's like, I don't know. I got no status on him because he, you know, it happened late in the game, right? Two and a half minutes. He checks himself out and doesn't Return to the game that they pull out, but he's def. Was definitely hobbling. You're right, TK So look, can they win the series without OG Yeah, they could. Can they win a championship without him? The way he's been playing? I don't think so at all. No way. On. On both ends. OG May. Yeah. Has he been their best player for the Knicks this postseason? Maybe not, but best two way player? I think so. Pretty easily, actually. So we'll see. We'll wait and see. Because that could change, you know, obviously, the outcome of the Eastern Conference Finals here or even to the Finals task. But I'm getting ahead of myself, I guess. But I don't know, with these injuries anymore, it's like, we've come on here so many more. It's like, yeah, it'll be okay. And then you're suddenly like eight hours later. It's like they're done for the year. You're like, oh, okay.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. I was on NBA official a lot yesterday after Joel Embiid's announcement, which are the releases that come out every 15 minutes now in response to NBA gambling that happened at the beginning of the season and all that. We're going to have every single one of these reports happen. So you can't just drop it 15 minutes before the game. And I'm not seeing anything here on OG they still got time. They still got time on that one to come out, but we will be checking every single 15 minutes. And there's great. The tough part about OG and I'll be playing ridiculously great for every other team is that it's trickled down to Mikel Bridges, who's started really slow in this postseason and then ended the first round really great, and now he's playing great. So it's hard not to imagine the Phoenix Suns from 2021 when Mikhail Bridges was way down on the roster order. But then they got to the NBA Finals. So watching the Knicks pull this one out, they're halfway to the NBA Finals, have won six now, just six more wins to go.
Tas Melis
I've never thought of it that way, but that's a great way to put it. You got to win 12 to get to the final.
Je Skeets
Usually 16 wins. Yeah. Looking at it like six and six.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. Because they're being math, Melis. Because yesterday there was lots of parts of the broadcast that said, oh, they were down 2:1 to the Atlanta Hawks, which is true. But now they're absolutely playing their best ball right down to the wire, where I thought maybe Paul George being Guarded by Carl Anthony Towns in that fourth quarter could help him out. But even though he was able to get space on Colin Towns, the shots just weren't falling. Vijay Edgecombe was over four. One really nice altered shot by Cat, but the other three open threes, bang, bang, bang, misses. Even Quentin Grimes, I thought at one time, who along with Kelly Ouber, were the other guys playing minutes in this game, aside from the bigs and, and your Maxi, Paul George and VJ Edge come. I mean, he could have found Dominic Barlow at one point, but he just wasn't looking there at one point. So, yeah, 12 points. And then that was again a real heartbreaker in the fourth quarter. To score 12 like that in a
Je Skeets
game where the Knicks were in all sorts of foul trouble too. I mean, Huck Porty obviously gets a bunch of minutes, but he gets picking up fouls left and right when he was out there. And then Cat had the two early ones, so he sits down. Mike Brown goes to Jeremy Sohan with the normal haircut. I had forgotten about that. He played a little bit at the five. But then Cat starts the second quarter and he immediately picks up his third foul. 45 seconds in for tripping Maxi. And he absolutely did it. It's just one of those classic, I think posting and toasting called it. One of those forehead slapping fouls that you see from time to time from Cat. You're like, are you doing, man? You know you have two, you know you have no Mitchell Robinson. Huck40 can't play out there because he just picks up fouls left and right. Obviously in the end it didn't matter and he had a good game, Cap, but that was like it was looking like it was going to be, oh, this is how the Sixers are going to win this. And this will be the talking point from a Knicks loss. A classic Cat game where he's like doing these bonehead fouls, but they pulled it out and he had a good game.
Tas Melis
Picking up fouls against Joel Embiid, that's understandable. But when it's the Boner and Barlow tandem, not quite as exciting. That being said, I like Triangle Towns. This guy is a revelation. Seven assists last night. In his last five games, he's gone 10 assists. Six, 10, six, seven. He had never had more than five in a playoff game before those five games. Unbelievable.
Je Skeets
Yeah, he's enjoying so much. Just chucking the ball around too, right?
Tas Melis
Guess what? Course, guys, for seven assists, nobody cares that you took eight shots or fouled that all those times. This is weaponizing Everybody, the numbers have been a little bit skewed because the Knicks have blown out teams, the Hawks and the Sixers, so often, but it's like they're getting three 20 point per game scorers every single night. Brunson will get there, Towns will be close, and then usually OG was the guy. Bridges is getting close. I think he maybe wants to send the Hawks a gift basket as well because that Game six really untracked him. He's like, wait a second, I'm super fast. If I run every time, I'm going to get so many easy buckets in transition. That gives him the confidence to go and be aggressive, looking for his shot in the half court. But since Devil wears Prada 2 came out, Carl Anthony Towns, 18 points a game, 11 rebounds, 6 assists on 76% true shooting.
Je Skeets
Wow.
Tas Melis
Yeah, it's pretty good. Pretty good.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. Especially in a game where he had foul trouble. You wouldn't know it looking at the box score. He was so good when he was on the floor to find everybody.
Je Skeets
I mean, I guess OG Anunoby was cooking too, since he was on Friends and Neighbors. He was having a great little run here.
Tas Melis
Yeah, but I don't know that anybody actually watches that.
Je Skeets
I've. No, I don't know. I've never met anyone either. But I wonder if Zach Lowe and Rachel Nichols takes have been hotter since they've been on Friends and Neighbors too. Something to look into, the little television bump here. But yeah, Cat was awesome. And it is funny to try and wrap your head around Tom Thibodeau using Cat like this. It's tough to like, picture. I just don't see it, you know, sort of more of a stuck in his ways type of coach. You're a big man, you're a seven footer. What do you do? Why would we have you out there operating? So they've done a great job, Mike Brown unlocking this here.
Tas Melis
Yeah, but Mike Brown didn't even use him like this.
Je Skeets
No, it's a good point.
Tas Melis
Until like game 86.
Je Skeets
It's a good point. Maybe he was just.
Trey Kirby
Did he say it in his back pocket?
Je Skeets
I don't know.
Trey Kirby
Or did he save it until they were down 2:1 essentially in the first round? Because it obviously has come through. You mentioned him just whipping it to corners. Was that a replay that I'm envisioning in my head that I'm having a flashback to seeing him? He's holding it like a baseball.
Je Skeets
Oh, yeah.
Trey Kirby
Where he goes to the right corner.
Je Skeets
Yeah, that's the one I'm thinking of
Trey Kirby
that camera angle is so good. Yeah, he did.
Je Skeets
I think he. I mean, this guy's got giant feet. He had giant mitts, I think, too, because he does just easily hold it like a softball. Either a guy's cutting back door or cutting the corners. And yeah, he's seems to be enjoying this. And it's a great point, Trey. About, like, nobody cares. There's not a whisper about how many fouls or how many shots did you
Tas Melis
take in this game? No, he's super involved.
Je Skeets
Yeah, that's exactly right.
Tas Melis
And it's a great way for, like, him to stay engaged. Like, he doesn't have to feel like, okay, I'm finally getting the ball. I have to make some kind of crazy play, lower my shoulder, get called for an offensive foul instead. He's just part of the rhythm of the offense. Everybody's getting open. Things are easier for Brunson. Like, he has to be taking less of a beating now than he has been through most of their playoff runs, where he's playing a little bit looser and freer free, which, like, leaves him with a little extra juice in these fourth quarters. Because the difference was, like, Barlow was doing an awesome job. He was moving his feet. He was making the challenges tough. But you give Brunson enough reps against a guy like Barlow, he's going to figure it out. Just put it up a split angle a little bit higher and drop it in nice and easy. So this seems to be the way that the Towns and Brunson pairing should work. And it just took a couple of years to actually figure out how to get it done.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. And even on the defensive end, I mentioned that Vijay Edgecombe miss in the fourth quarter, his first shot of his four shots in the fourth quarter, where the other three were just missed open threes. Carlton E. Towns really did alter Edgecumbe driving into the hoop, and it was there. That layup was absolutely there. But Carlton Towns is a monstrous man, and he did a good job of altering that. While Dominic Barlow was just so good. I think there could have been another block on. On the box score that wasn't there just because of another foul. He was there when Jalen Brunson dribbled it into his in the last couple minutes there and got credited with the steal. Dominic Bar released by the spurs, let go by the Hawks. And here he is. He's. He's peeking. Nobody knew who this guy was, obviously, as we watched him courtside in the G League game. And he. He's grown up and, you know, when you see somebody in the G League and obviously they have this journey throughout all the basketball leagues, you think maybe this guy's older, still super young. He's a super young guy that can be here for a long, long time. That was their fourth center last night with Bona and Drummond getting into foul trop. Bona was pretty good though, too.
Je Skeets
He was.
Tas Melis
He blocked shots and rebounded.
Je Skeets
They brought energy to Bona.
Trey Kirby
Popped many times to block those two shots. It did.
Je Skeets
Do you think the 76ers have the energy to get back in this series, TK to, you know, extend this and make it go six or seven? Or is this looking more and more like, let's say Knicks, maybe not sweet, but five? This was.
Tas Melis
This feels like the game they needed to win to pull off an upset. I still think they can win in this series. You know, tighten up the turnovers, I think, and play with the speed they were playing with. Like, the pace was actually down last night. But I think that's because in Game 1, the Knicks had so many run outs that it kind of upped the pace for everybody.
Je Skeets
A lot of fouls last night.
Tas Melis
A lot of fouls last night. But I also thought that the way like Sixers were getting into their. Their offense was a lot quicker because, you know, no embiid out there, which they slow down and get him the ball. Effective for sure, but it's just a different style. So I think the Knicks will be more ready for it if they know going into game three that there's not going to be an embiid and we're seeing like a Maxi Edgecomb sort of thing. It's just going to require great shooting. Like, Maxi was so good in the first half. The guy tired absolutely. In the second half, Nick's got really smart with the way they were trapping him, making anybody else beat him. He had six turnovers last night. He had nine in seven games against the Celt. So definitely feeling it more from the Knicks. It feels like the series is over, but they just need to win game three. That's a must win game for Philadelphia.
Trey Kirby
Totally. And if we get into the nitty gritty, I think O.J. nova, if he does come back, I'm going to be pretty specific here. But Paul George had an open shot to start his incredible night. He hit it from the 11, 11 foot shot, not a long jumper. OG and Anobi, I think, can close that space even more. So, like it was a little too open. I thought if I'm on the Knicks bench, he can stick with him, even if he's super close, he can stick with Paul George going past him. So he hit that 11 foot shot. Then he goes to the three point line and starts banging home everything. So he hits his first four shots. Had an incredible game until the fourth quarter when not one single shot went down for him. But he shot 5 of 13 from 3. So I think, I think you can get. Whether it's an OG or Mikhail Bridges closing that space a little bit. The Knicks can improve is what I'm trying to get at. And we'll see if OG does play because the Skechers didn't help. His ankles did. He hurt an ankle and I think
Tas Melis
it was his hamster.
Trey Kirby
It looked like a hamstring. Okay.
Je Skeets
A lot more, I think.
Trey Kirby
All right, good. Because I didn't want to talk about his Skecher shoes. His Skechers rain not doing their job and talk about the andium shoe that Spencer Jones uses.
Je Skeets
Didn't want to talk about.
Trey Kirby
Didn't want to talk about it.
Tas Melis
Don't blame the Skechers, man.
Je Skeets
Sketchers just signed up. WNBA deal with the entire league, I think.
Trey Kirby
The whole. What? The whole league.
Je Skeets
I don't some. My wife told me this morning. I didn't look it up, but I'll take.
Trey Kirby
I pulled a real Richard Jefferson there. I don't want to talk about this, but I'm going to talk about this.
Je Skeets
That's a classic. Well, we'll find out here. Yeah. As we go to game three. And we don't know. Embiid status. We don't know. Oh, geez, the status. We. I mean, look, I think he'll play. Josh Hart did get injured in this game too. To the point where you're like, oh, that looked bad. But of course he, you know, he sucks it up and plays. Any Skechers WNBA news.
Tas Melis
They do have a league wide deal.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Tas Melis
I don't know what that means, but they got one.
Je Skeets
So it's like skims with the NBA.
Tas Melis
Yeah, but it's shoes, you know, like Nike has a deal with the NBA, but they do jerseys. Like I don't think WMA is going to be wearing Skechers jerseys.
Je Skeets
What's going on here? I don't know, man. I don't know. A couple random notes from game two in New York last night. The highlight of the night had to have been in the third quarter. About eight minutes to go. We had a pigeon. Oh my God. Carl Anthony Towns, he had a crazy one that he got up there on top of the backboard. That's for those that don't know a pigeon, when that ball is stuck up in the top of the stanchion there like it was. So, Tyrese Maxey, like, here, Andre Drummond, you're tall. Poke it out with this broomstick. All right, I'll go and do that. And he does. Boom. And then it takes a crazy bounce. Box right back in. Legler lost his mind on the broadcast. Just cackling away. And then the crowd turning on Andre Drummond, start booing him because he can't dislodge the pigeon. Here comes Cat. I got this. And he knocks it out in one clean swoop. He took a better angle at it. You know, take note of that for anyone in this situation moving forward. And the fans went nuts. Shallow Knights, let's go. He loves a. You know, a ball stall. I guess so. Yeah. That was fun. They showed literally, like, their version of Jurassic park outside Madison Square Garden. Reacting to Kat, getting it dislodged. Hilarious.
Trey Kirby
Very, very fun.
Je Skeets
So we've got no wedgie through the entire postseason so far, it's been a long drought. There's been what feels like, at this point, five or six potential wedgies, like, almost stuck even one in this game. We nearly had one that was like, oh, that was close. But at least we got.
Trey Kirby
This is my point.
Je Skeets
No postseason wedgies, but an epic, epic pigeon.
Trey Kirby
Oh, gosh. Yeah. So good. So good. And you're right, Carl. Anthony Towns didn't poke it sort of back towards the crowd. He came and poked it towards the floor, and it really, really worked. He commented on it afterwards. So he did that. They literally asked him post game. He said something like, yeah, I've got experience doing that. I know what I'm doing. Because he's a big guy.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Call me. Call me Mike Tyson. I'm good with pigeons. He had said that.
Trey Kirby
Mike Tyson. I thought I thought of every pigeon line while watching.
Je Skeets
You can fact check me. But I thought Mike Tyson literally kept pigeons.
Tas Melis
Oh, he loves pigeons. Absolutely. He does.
Je Skeets
Okay, good.
Tas Melis
It just makes you more impressed that Obi Toppin, he jumped up and got a pigeon.
Je Skeets
Yeah, they did reference that on the broadcast.
Tas Melis
Amazing.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Tas Melis
Is he the only guy that can do it? Because, like, I mean, Wemby's got to
Je Skeets
be able to do it.
Tas Melis
Wemby doesn't jump like Obi.
Je Skeets
He is true.
Tas Melis
Like, that's the thing, is, like, you got to find the perfect combination of, like, 40 inch vertical and 6, 8 or taller.
Je Skeets
Yeah. I mean, Wemby doesn't have to jump 40.
Tas Melis
That's true. I'd like to see 35. You know, he can get the wedgie out of the rim with his foot. Remember that?
Je Skeets
Oh, yeah, yeah, Right.
Tas Melis
So I'm thinking new All Star weekend activity. We set up. It's almost like an obstacle course. We'll throw like a wedgie in there. We'll have a pigeon.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melis
Maybe some other weird ball stall factory and just come up with creative ways to get it out. Yeah, like a skateboarding competition.
Je Skeets
The ball stall challenge of some sort that we're in charge of. We could be on the floor doing like, oh, baby, we can do that for that stuff.
Tas Melis
It's like a reverse dude. Perfect. The shot has already happened and it went poorly. But here's how we get it out.
Je Skeets
You're saying we're perfect dudes. We are perfect dudes.
Tas Melis
We gotta rebrand the channel.
Je Skeets
My only other random note was a funny little scene with VJ Edgecomb talking to Spike Lee because he's obviously there courtside. And this was after Vijay picked up a dumb foul, full court on Brunson. I thought Richard Jefferson was pretty funny on the broadcast because they were praising Vijay. Edgecombe's. His game as a rookie. And then is like, well, we also got to call out these dumb plays. That was a dumb foul. But yeah, then Vijay's just chopping it
Trey Kirby
up there with Spike, making him laugh.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Jason Bateman was loving it, too. I loved you in Zootopia. And Zootopia, too. Jason Bateman. My kids definitely did. Yeah. And that was after I wondered if they were talking trash because he just hammered Brunson, who was.
Je Skeets
Yeah, he was apologetic. Yeah. Like twice went up to him and Richard didn't like that. He's like, you don't do that during the playoffs.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, yeah. Mike Breen said, are you. Are you being serious?
Je Skeets
Richard? He's a lot. He's dead serious.
Trey Kirby
Yes, I'm dead.
Je Skeets
And then Legler backed him up a little bit, like, oh, okay, you guys don't like sportsmanship, I guess. But I was thinking watching that exchange, I'm like, oh, VJ Edgecombe. I could see you in a Spike Lee movie down the line.
Tas Melis
Definitely roll.
Je Skeets
Good looking guy. Seems charismatic. I'm charismatic.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, yeah. If. Yeah, Lots of. Lots of charisma. If you happen to be on the NBA app and you happen to look at the NBA stories, he seems like he's always in them. He's always good. You know, social teams from every team do the. Ask them a random question. What's your favorite sandwich?
Tas Melis
And.
Trey Kirby
And quite often they're Just like boring. But he's got so much personality. So much.
Je Skeets
What was the sandwich? Do you remember?
Trey Kirby
I don't. I made that up.
Je Skeets
Oh, okay.
Trey Kirby
As far as his go. But anyway, I will say somebody who talked to himself a lot last night was Josh Hart.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Because he got the tech. So then from there on he had to just yell at himself.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, that was hilarious.
Je Skeets
It was just like stomping and stuff.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. So many times. Great close ups of him just literally talking to himself to try and get him back.
Je Skeets
Because there was. After he got the one tech, there wasn't. He was pissed about something about a no call or something. Or call on. I can't remember. And Cat was literally like. Cat was pushing him to the bench. Yeah, he sort of pushed him too hard though. Yeah, hard. Didn't like it. He wanted to get upset with Cat, like, hey, I'm fine. But you know, Cat's trying to protect him. He's like, you're getting awful close. Also that's Tony Brothers and Tyler Ford on this call. The two worst. Some of the worst. So, yeah, you gotta be. You gotta be careful. So Cat was helping him out.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. After Josh Hart got that tech, it was a Paul George and 1. Paul George goes to the line because he thinks he's shooting. And one. Oh, and then the text coming, he's like, okay, I'll be here. But then Tyrese Max is like, hey, that's mine, man. Get out of here. And what's funny is that Maxi hits the tech. Paul George comes in for the. And one shot. The N.1 fell. He misses that one. Oh, you know, a little irony there.
Je Skeets
Max free throws last night. And I bring that up because he never does. I think he had been on a heater there in terms they said he
Tas Melis
missed his first one of the playoffs and then 34 straight.
Je Skeets
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Trey Kirby
So I mean, it's ironic the other way around, that guy shooting the tech and then missing other free throws.
Je Skeets
Well, I just also, maybe, maybe there is some fatigue there with the guy.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Je Skeets
Missing on the line. Doesn't happen.
Trey Kirby
Missed one in the fourth quarter.
Je Skeets
Yeah, yeah. Anything else?
Tas Melis
Kelly Oubre did the interview in between first quarter and second quarter and one of the things he said was, I'm a knockdown shooter. I look in the mirror and I say that every day. Yeah, I believe it.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melis
He seems like an affirmations guy to me.
Je Skeets
Sure.
Tas Melis
He also continued, obviously last series my clip was jammed. He is shooting 24% from three so far in the playoffs. But you know, just talking to the mirror and you'll be feeling fine.
Je Skeets
Change the mirror. What did he finish last three or six last night. I mean, you're gonna live with that.
Tas Melis
Brought it up, yeah.
Je Skeets
Anything else?
Trey Kirby
No.
Je Skeets
Okay.

let's move to the blowout game from last night. Wembanyama. 19 points, 15 boards. Not a single pigeon retrieve though. But the spurs handed Minnesota its worst post season loss in franchise history. They beat the Wolves 133 to 95 to even their series at one game a piece. When did you log off last night with game two in San Antonio. What was the play or what was the quarter? Whenever.
Tas Melis
The third straight three from Julian Champagne.
Trey Kirby
Night, night.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Tas Melis
That was the game for me. It was like, it was all. It was like 11:00pm Eastern Time. halftime it was like what, like a 25 point game?
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melis
So I said, all right, I'm giving, I'm giving Minnesota until 11:15 to make this interesting. It was still interesting. Like got to 20. I was like, okay, it's not 30 yet.
Je Skeets
Right?
Tas Melis
And then Champagne went nuts. I was like, okay, we are good to go here. This was a blowout victory for the spurs and I think they could have won by even more because they despite how well they played in the first half, they were still turning the ball over, missing some easy shots. But the most impressive thing is that San Antonio came out with determination and desperation. Minnesota came out and turned the ball over three times on their first three possessions. I really thought Wemby set the tone here. And a pretty sweet bounce back game for this guy after blowing game one at home. Doesn't look good. Everybody's down on the spurs saying wow, we slept on Minnesota. The guy came out on a mission to play inside out. After taking a ton of threes in game one. I thought the spurs did a really good job of getting involved in him the ball in scoring positions rather than playing from the outside facing all five Minnesota defenders who every time he dribbles are like pack, pack, pack, pack, pack. The paint. It got tough for him. That's why he had to take so many threes in game one. But here he's getting his first lob of the game. He's getting the ball in the post they're throwing. He's getting busy on the offensive rebounds. I loved when they showed that pre game bump workout. He's getting smacked and it like went right into him. Backing down. Julius Randle for a nice layup. That was pretty cool. Was that Bismack Biyombo that was bumping?
Je Skeets
I thought it was.
Tas Melis
I did too.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melis
And that like clarified something to me because I was like, why do they have four centers on this? One of them is just a smash into Wemby in the pregame.
Je Skeets
He's the bump guy.
Tas Melis
Yeah, he was great. Fox was in attack mode all night long. Wemby and Fox had 16 points in the first quarter. They had 21 total in game one. Totally different mindset from the Spurs. Much better approach. And then it just turned into a run and dunk show in the second quarter.
Je Skeets
Yeah, I turned it off personally when Devin Vassell was hitting alley oop, three pointers.
Tas Melis
Unbelievable.
Je Skeets
That's when I said, okay, this one's a wrap because that was an incredible play. Having the wherewithal to know the shot clock was expiring champagne sort of bobbling it there on the baseline. He's gonna give him the grenade at the last possible second. Devil is like almost, almost into his shooting motion before the ball hits his hand.
Trey Kirby
I think he's in the air.
Tas Melis
He is.
Je Skeets
Oh, I thought his toes were okay anyway. Yeah, it's incredible.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Je Skeets
And it was like a smooth looking, beautiful three point release.
Public Investing Announcer
Obviously.
Je Skeets
Splash it. And that's when I said, okay, good night.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Tas Melis
They're calling him Teemu. Danny Green.
Trey Kirby
Yes. And I'm like, okay, that's pretty good. Yeah.
Je Skeets
Well shot.
Trey Kirby
Danny Green couldn't do that. Danny Green couldn't be in the air. Usually when we talk about a three point shooter with a no dip, you have your feet on the ground. His feet were off the ground. He was already.
Je Skeets
He was already jumping.
Trey Kirby
He was already jumping kutch. And it was a perfect spot too, because he didn't have to pull up his hands at all. It was just in a perfect spot to let it go. It was awesome. But you're right, Wemby was getting a better. Getting the ball in better spots. He was also super patient. I think that one you're talking about with against Julius Randall in the second quarter after Bismack Biombo was shown banging him in practice. He took a sweet time against Julius Randle and was able to body him, spin and score. And then the next possession it was against Jane McDaniels spinning on him. That's. That's not going to work for Jane McDonald's. He missed, actually. But then he was. He's the big guy. He was able to grab his offensive board, so he was great on that end. He Was obviously great on the other end and he's such a team guy. What he really praised after the game was how his team was on a string defensively and was just talking about that. I loved how everyone had everyone's back tonight. Looked like a system that worked. It really was a system. When Luke Cornett is blocking a shot in the first quarter and pointing at his own bench like this, this isn't, this game isn't over, Luke, we don't have to get super excited, but he's pointing at somebody on the bench who was clear with the role, the job of everybody. And so they were on a string last night on both ends.
Je Skeets
Darren Fox, I thought looked much more assertive too in his decision making. Two for two from deep. He was over four in game one. So like we was setting the tone and I thought this was an interesting note from Mitch Johnson. After the game he said how the spurs are at their best when Fox is in attack mode. Quote. He has probably the strongest ripple effect on our team in terms of when he's in an attack mode and he's pushing the pace, end quote there on Mitch. So yeah, this is a good game, a good result if you are a Spurs believer that they can win a championship here, right? It's this type of like, we lost game one, had a chance to win it right at the buzzer, didn't. And how do we come back? And it's like ass kicking like this where you're like, oh yeah, that's what elite teams do. No question now, now they got to go win in the target center and all that. And I don't think Minnesota played well. I think at this point, like Ant came off the bench again. This is a game he shouldn't even have played. Or they should have pulled him even earlier. He didn't play a ton of minutes because it was a blowout. But like I hated, I hated his shot selection. I hated his sort of energy and vibe. And not just him, it was the whole team. He said, we came out cool. Look what happened. My mama used to tell me that a hard head make a soft ass. That's what happened tonight. So he even admitted it. Yeah, hard head make a soft ass, folks. See, but it was, you know, they
Trey Kirby
said he was going to play 25 minutes and that's what he played. And because he was at a limit, you know, regardless of the game he. And that's what he played in the first game when they won, when he had those 11 fourth quarter points. But yeah, I totally agree he kind of just put it upon himself to start this game. I'm shooting.
Je Skeets
They were just so chill. So chill about it.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. A little more hero ball. And that's when Doris Burke said, five shots and it feels a little antsy. To make him his own impression. He said. And she said, antsy. It feels a little antsy. I think she could have just hit it on the nose a little more. I like it. Ant C. You know what I mean? It feels a little antsy.
Je Skeets
Did you see that?
Trey Kirby
I. I like things very literal. I thought that would have been a good time. But anyways, it's a good line. He. It feels a little antsy.
Je Skeets
Did you see the sign that the Jackals had where they had like, they had like, a cardboard cutout of an ant on its back and then they had a big, like, other cardboard cut out of a can of Raid?
Trey Kirby
Pretty funny.
Je Skeets
I think it looks like there's a clip where Ant sees the sign. It's sort of tough to tell. It looks like he's laughing at it. He could have been laughing at something else on the bench.
Trey Kirby
But anyway, yeah, good sign, good signs, good arena. If the. They still allow you to bring in signs. This doesn't happen in every arena. And I like that.
Je Skeets
It was nice. That's a good point. I did, like, two things like adjustments that Mitch Johnson and the spurs made in addition. Just playing obviously a lot more aggressive on defense. They did do a good job of keeping Ant in check. Now, I think he was bailing them out with some of his shots, but, you know, they were. We saw a little Carter Bryant have a fun go at him and try and use that athleticism to slow Ant. And they were just like, forcing him to give up the ball. Yeah. Like anybody else beat us. Let's see it. And that. That was smart. And I think we'll see more of that. And we'll see how Ant and the. And the Wolves sort of counter that. And then in addition to that on offense. And you already said this sort of, but like, just getting into action quicker. They did that much, much better in game, too, where they was like, let's go get into our first action quicker.
Tas Melis
They ran the Timberwolves off the court. It started with Randall gets a bucket underneath. Vesel inbounds the ball. The Fox, he outlets it to Carter Bryant immediately for a dunk.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Like, whoa.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melis
Right away, Dave Pash and Doris Burke were calling out the Wolves for their effort. They're like, that can't happen. And then that just continued to happen. 29 to 5 fast break point advantage for the spurs last night. They had eight dunks total. Minnesota had one. Seven different players had dunks. Harrison Barnes got a dunk late in this game. It was just a complete domination. And Chris Finch basically said this happens all the time. Game one, the road team wins. Game two is going to be a blowout. If you come out cool and they came out cool and they got blown out.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. And he's supposedly told him that pre game, but it didn't work out for them. I thought.
Tas Melis
Not us.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, it wouldn't happen to us. But Carter Bryant, yeah, was. Was good. He was on the NBA official injury report for game one. He didn't play in game one and then came out in this game and was the Anthony Edwards stopper in round two, essentially. And then when they needed him to get in the right spots, Mitch Johnson was there to. To use all that young length to be in front of Anthony Edwards as much as possible and then run. As you said, they're running off makes. And that was the problem with the Minnesota Timberwolves. I thought Minnesota actually tried to respond to it by running themselves and that ain't their game. They don't need to be running like that. In game one. The spurs won fast breaks. It's 2710 and still lost the game. Minnesota doesn't need to do that. And then, you know, it's 29:5 in the second game. So I thought they tried to play too fast, but they also just weren't getting back. Period. I mean, that was clear. Again, off makes. Finch was wrong. It wasn't supposed to be them, but they didn't respond.
Je Skeets
I thought. My only other note was Keldon Johnson. I thought gave them quality minutes, like 19, 20 minutes for the Spurs. I think we might see a little bit more of him. Like I thought he matched up well on Randall who had a very quiet game. I mean he likes the big body on big body there. Yeah. So maybe that's something we continue to see here. But great, great performance, great bounce back. And now it's best of five series. And like Minnesota did their part right. They had to get one on the road. They do. Now it goes back to Target center on what Friday night. Can't wait. It's a huge game 3. Can't say it's pivotal, but it's big.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. And I again, I will be checking the official NBA count because I would assume we didn't play in the second half of this game. After game one, he was out with the calf injury. Game two, he plays but then he's out with a heel injury for the second half. So he's got a lot of things going on in that bod.
Tas Melis
Yeah, he didn't look particularly good in his few minutes in the first half.
Trey Kirby
No, I didn't think. No. Yeah. So that. That going forward, I think I'd be more comfortable saying. I'd assume he's not playing game three versus OJ And Obi's not playing game three because OG just. He's gonna fight. But, yeah, he did look. I just didn't look right.
Je Skeets
Then again, one of them is up, too.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, maybe.
Tas Melis
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. Maybe neither. Maybe neither. But I did not look right in this game. But either did a lot of Timberwolves, let's be honest.
Je Skeets
Anything else?
Tas Melis
Rudy Go Bear had an airball alley oop, Dave patch that. I don't know if that was a shot attempt or a pass because it looked like he had a dunk. And then somehow he passed it to a guy in the bottom of the baseline. So I don't know what was going on there. Stefan Castle at one point had a juggling and one drive into the hoop. Ball gets deflected. He grabs it out of the air, finishes, and then went over to the bench and had a nice energy gel.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melis
You were allowed to eat during a game?
Je Skeets
Oh, sure.
Tas Melis
They're like, yeah, pop a quick gel before you shoot a free throw.
Je Skeets
It's like a marathon runner. You don't think so? No. You have to get all your intake
Tas Melis
in before the game or you have to be bench.
Je Skeets
Oh, game to go and eat. Oh, wow. Wow. Never thought of that. You don't see it often. You're right. You see water, somebody will hand you a water bottle. You're okay with water.
Tas Melis
Not really okay.
Je Skeets
You got to be on the bench to consume anything.
Tas Melis
I don't want anything in anybody's mouth during play.
Je Skeets
Except the mouth guard.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. I saw on the scorers table as they were showing the players, there was a cup of gummy worms. Are those players just walking by? You know, like, quite often we call it G game. We'll see lots of gum in front of us. But those are. Those belong the. To the team. In this case, it was gummy bears. That or gummy worms, I should say that belong to the fans in the first row. Oh, in the spurs arena, they're just. They're so close, the scores tables. They're just fans. Either way, they weren't eating gummy worms. But I do agree, you can't eat on the floor. I saw Donovan Mitchell the other day, like, he was eating. They look like cubed pineapples, I think on the bench.
Je Skeets
Diced pineapples.
Trey Kirby
Dice.
Tas Melis
That's a Rick Ross song for sure.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. Diced pineapples. Yeah.
Je Skeets
Okay. There you go. More.
Tas Melis
You know, pineapple's good.
Je Skeets
Yeah. We didn't even bring up Castle. He had a good game. I mean, it was like 9 for 9 at the line, 6 to 10 overall, 21 points. It was good and like limited minutes for all the starters, obviously on San Antonio as this thing got out of hand and they ran away with it. And we're tied 1:1. Okay, let's take a break, and when we come back, we're going to talk about underrated and overrated players.
Tas Melis

Je Skeets
All right, if you're just joining us, thanks. Hit the like button. Subscribe Help your boys out. NBA players have made their voices heard in terms of who they believe are the most overrated and underrated players and coaches in the league. And we're going to take a look here. Yeah, this coming by way of the Athletic, the anonymous player survey conducted by our old friends at the Athletics. So let's get into the first one here. And this is the one that's got everybody talking. Rockets all star forward Elperin Shengun was voted the most overrated player in the league. Rudy Gobert, Trae Young finishing second. Now, it should be noted that this question was the one that the players were least willing to Answer even anonymously. Only 81 votes cast. So just to put it in perspective, the little graph you're seeing here on YouTube, Sengun was the top vote getter with 10 votes. Okay, so 10 people said Alperen Shengu, but the guy is an all star and I want to hear your reaction task to him being selected anonymously by the players and the rest of the list and maybe who's missing and all that stuff.
Trey Kirby
What do you think Sengun and Rudy Gobert, who's number two here, they can get under people's skin. I think that's fairly clear. Sengun, as far as being overrated, I think that was a little cold, a little tough. I don't. I don't consider him overrated myself. I think, yes, I think that's more of an aggravation amongst other people to just don't like the dude.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Well, they're even in the article. There's a. Obviously it's. We don't know who said it, but it's something like, yeah, a guy cries a lot.
Tas Melis
He's crying every play. He's talented, but dude, just play hard.
Je Skeets
Just play hard. Yeah, dude. That was Kevin Durant's like, you can put my name to this one.
Trey Kirby
Now that you say crying the word crying, I mean, the top two players there have cried. If you call these Alper and. Well, if you call this Alper and Shenun crying, you know, it's the same sort of realm of what players think of other players is. Is what I, what I'm getting at here. They don't like, let's go.
Tas Melis
This is like hand in hand with LeBron talk. Talking trash to Shengoon at the free throw line. To me, he's like, just shut up, man. You're a softy.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Tas Melis
And that's apparently what at least 10 players in the NBA plus LeBron think of Alper and Schengen.
Trey Kirby
But it is interesting, as you said, only 81 votes even though they're anonymous.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Guy. Guys. Well, somebody in the. Again, the article says, like, if I'm going to say somebody's under overrated, I'm basically calling them out saying they're not as good as, you know, maybe the general public thinks I want to put my name to it. So they're actually saying I don't want to do it anonymously. Say that that player sucks or that player's overrated.
Tas Melis
Yeah. But I think that player also didn't vote.
Je Skeets
Yeah, true.
Trey Kirby
So, yeah, I don't.
Tas Melis
I don't fake in the funk.
Trey Kirby
I don't buy that.
Tas Melis
I'll put my whole chest behind this by not voting.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Tas Melis
Come on.
Trey Kirby
The athletic.
Tas Melis
Worse.
Je Skeets
I know. What do you want him to do? Have a press conference to tell the world? Here is who I think is overrated.
Tas Melis
Just vote. Just vote and say who it was. One quoted source in here. That would be nice to see.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. The athletic writers would be totally comfortable writing a whole article based on one player. So if you want to say it, go ahead.
Tas Melis
I also like the player who was like, yeah, I voted for Halliburton last year and that he went to game seven, the final. So I'm not doing it again.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Now that's interesting. I was gonna say this could be good for Shen. Good. You know, Halliburton winning this category last season, he had 14.4% of the vote last year. I think I got clipped. And I made that show because I addressed the Halliburton was overrated. What the hell was that show again starting.
Tas Melis
Yeah.
Je Skeets
Was it starting five? Yeah. The second season.
Tas Melis
You hear me in it for a second.
Je Skeets
I'm talking about Halliburton being overrated. Anyway, I'm not saying it. I think I was just doing the little intro. But yeah, this is good for you. Shengu maybe worked out well for Halliburton there at least to go to the finals.
Tas Melis
That's true.
Je Skeets
But look, I understand why he's here too. He is an all star level guy and has disappearing acts. And I think you're right about the. The whining or the crying part on the floor. Yeah. That's what people are going with.
Trey Kirby
As 10 people are going with. As Trey brought up, it was round one when LeBron called him out. You know, we made a clip of it because you can hear it in crypto arena. Exactly what LeBron is saying to Shane. Good. You're the only guy here that shouldn't be crying about it is what LeBron said. So if he's the only guy, you know that the rest of the NBA thinks the same way that you're. You're. You cry more than other people. Is. Is what. What he was getting at. And I guess it's somewhat in line with what Sengun's head coach says about him. About Sengun. Imedioka says get the European out of you. Like, I guess. I guess that means stop complaining. I still don't know what that means. I mean, that was said like a year and a half ago, but I think that's what it means. Stop complaining on the free throats, on everything. Yep.
Je Skeets
Who Would you have voted for Trey either from the list that you see or a name that didn't make it, you know, Anonymous. Trey Kirby, who's the most overrated player in the league?
Trey Kirby
Anonymous.
Tas Melis
If I'm going to do them, I'll put my name on.
Je Skeets
Oh, okay.
Tas Melis
Trey Young.
Je Skeets
Okay. Yeah, he goes. Trey on Trey Violence there.
Tas Melis
I mean, he didn't play at all for the Hawks this year. They traded him and they still got better.
Je Skeets
Okay. Yeah.
Tas Melis
You got second for literally his presence being gone was good.
Je Skeets
He's made a couple of these overall.
Tas Melis
Like 20, 23, I think they said was. Maybe he was the number one guy.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. When it comes to All Star votes, even though his, you know, his stats are incredible, the players also vote for All Stars. He's never high, you know, even. Even during the good years. You know, your 28 point Trey Young years, they quite often don't anoint him in All Stars, so that. That makes sense.
Je Skeets
What about you? Who would have got your vote?
Trey Kirby
Yeah, I never thought. I didn't. I didn't think this one through. I'm not gonna put my name on this one.
Je Skeets
No. Here, write it down under the table.
Trey Kirby
I guess traders a good one. Who am I missing? I'm comfortable saying whoever I think, but nothing's jumping.
Je Skeets
I got one. I got one. They missed Evan Mobley. Oh, no. Evan Mobley.
Trey Kirby
He's on there.
Je Skeets
Where? He got one vote.
Trey Kirby
2.5%.
Je Skeets
Oh, okay.
Trey Kirby
Yes.
Je Skeets
He's too far. He's not on my grade.
Trey Kirby
Two votes. Two votes.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Evan Mobley. And this is, like, overrated. This doesn't mean he's garbage. It just means I feel like he's talked about, like, he's a much better player than he has backed up.
Trey Kirby
I mean, his postseason run, I'd say his head coach even almost rated him too high coming into this season. Kenny Atkinson said he's going to take this next level. And we. Yeah, this was definitely one of the more disappointing stories because we saw a comment, Defensive play of the year, All Star for the first time. So it didn't happen.
Je Skeets
I also heard somebody call him Slim Duncan. I was like, what? Evan Mobley? Come on, now we're going way too far. Not even close.
Trey Kirby
No.
Je Skeets
Not even sniffing that yet. So we, like people just. Yeah, they were projecting and got too far ahead. And that's why I'm going over 8.
Trey Kirby
Maybe that's an underappreciation for Tim Duncan.
Je Skeets
Maybe.
Trey Kirby
Maybe people just don't respect his game, his. His scoring. Because defensively, yeah, sure. In the same Category, I guess.
Je Skeets
But you know, that's overblown.
Tas Melis
He's not close to Duncan. Of course not. 15 time all defense or something like that.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, but why didn't he win defensive play? Why didn't he?
Tas Melis
There's other good defenders around too, but he should have got one. But I think there are a lot of guys who show up on the list if they do the voting after round one. Shen Gun is still there. Jaylen Brown is definitely there. Ingram is there. Devin Booker is there. And people would have voted for Jokic. Absolutely. After round one.
Trey Kirby
After round one. That is totally true.
Tas Melis
But who voted for Cody Williams? He's an also receiving votes for this. It better have been his brother as a joke. But who would possibly vote for Cody
Je Skeets
Williams, man, to have been his brother.
Trey Kirby
You're right.
Je Skeets
I didn't think of that.
Trey Kirby
The fine, the fine print gets pretty cutthroat as he. You said they just shove them in there. They're not on the graph. But the guys who get mentioned there. Cody Williams, Shea Gildrus Alexander. Overrated, huh?
Je Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
LeBron James, I mean, you know, you know that this is Anonymous. When a 41 year old man who's played more games than anyone in the NBA has the freaking most points in the NBA is just, oh yeah, that guy's overrated. I will say Pascal Siakam on here. I don't get how he's overrated. I don't get it.
Je Skeets
It's just.
Trey Kirby
Just good. He's not really rated that high.
Tas Melis
Don't forget that he's an all star on the worst team in the league this year. Yeah, that's weird.
Je Skeets
Yeah. And don't forget that.
Tas Melis
But that's weird.
Je Skeets
Contracts come into play with a lot of this stuff too.
Tas Melis
Sure.
Je Skeets
They're like jealousy. That guy's making how much I'm better than him like that type of thinking.
Trey Kirby
So yeah, Scotty Barnes on here as overrated. Definitely a part of it is that this happened during the regular season.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Because if it's post season and you saw Scotty play the way he was, he ain't overrated.
Je Skeets
It's all timing with these, right? Yeah, for sure. All right, next one here a little more positive. Who is the league's most underrated player? Had a lot more people voting, 151 votes cast. But you know, there was something like 89 players receiving at least one vote. So our leaders in most underrated, according to the players, Jalen Johnson and Derrick White with a huge 4% of the vote. TK so you know, obviously not many people voting for them. But your reaction?
Tas Melis
Yeah. Three Celtics in the top five, plus Drew Holiday who won a title with the Celtics. I didn't know that the Boston media mafia extended to players as well, but this to me just read like the Taskmallis all stars list. Colin Gillespie, Chris Dunn and Ryan Rollins all got votes.
Je Skeets
That really is.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. I mean I do like guys like Jaden McDaniels being on here.
Tas Melis
Yeah, he deserves it.
Trey Kirby
That he does deserve it. But as you said 4% for those top two. These are tight. This is tighter than the NBA draft lottery percentages that are coming out next year. That's super tight. Well, well, ranged by these 150 votes.
Je Skeets
A lot of love for Derek White though. In the comments in this article, somebody said to me he's one of the most important players in the league when it comes to Derrick White and he's been a leader here in this underrated players list for a couple of years running now. He's always finishing near the top, so maybe not getting his due respect, at least according to these players. I mean, he's just our new Mike Conley. Is he not like really good guy. It's never made an all star team. Probably won't. I don't think. I know. Conley finally got one. Maybe that'll happen to Derek White at the end of his career. I don't know. Yeah, but he's one of the best players. Not to make one, I think now.
Tas Melis
Yep.
Je Skeets
Anything else, Dad?
Tas Melis
I like McDaniels as an inclusion OG Anunoby deserves votes. IO got maybe just one vote and MPJ got votes. These are all guys that I would have on my list. Then there are guys that are. Things are on the wrong list on the underrated list when they should have been on the other one. We just talked about overrated. I'm talking about Austin Reeves, Brandon Ingram and Shaden Sharp.
Je Skeets
Austin Reeves is an interesting one. Well, you said Jalen Brown too, but he had a good regular season.
Tas Melis
He had a great regular season and he did jump on regular seasons too. He just seems to be a playoff dropper so far in his career.
Je Skeets
Jalen Brown jumped on Twitch too. I just want to slip that in there and addressed everything right. Was taken out of context.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Je Skeets
Okay. He's cool. He's going to be with the Celtics for 10 plus more years. Loves Brad Stevens. That's his guy. Okay. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
He said it's unfortunate that Brad Stevens had to do a whole press conference and talk about it and be asked about it.
Je Skeets
So there's that something happened yesterday too. At one point I got an alert or I saw in the timeline Twitch alerts. Well, no, Jalen Brown was supposed to be on Instagram Live with Kevin Garnett. And then soon after it seemed like it was canceled and he was then firing up Twitch. Jalen Brown himself. I don't know. KG fell through or something.
Trey Kirby
Something fell through, yeah. I will say one of KG's great clips recently was him just loving LeBron James. Like going nuts seeing LeBron James throw a dunk at 41. He's just respected the age. I think he was just loving it, throwing stuff around. That was good clip. Very good clip, I will say. But you're totally right. Throwing in Brandon Ingram there. Brandon Ingram and Scotty Barnes on this list, both of them as most underrated, I would say. Yeah, I can understand why Scotty Barnes on there, the Ingram one would be totally different.
Je Skeets
Which current coach, aside from your own, do you find the least impressive way to ask this? Hey, which one of these guys is not impressive too? Well, unfortunately, Brian Keefe ran away with this one 22% of the vote. So 22 people voting for Brian Keith, though, how many of those 22 even knew his name? Because somebody was quoted as saying in the article, I don't even know who's coaching the Wizards, but whoever coaches the Wizards. Holy shit. I mean, this is already disrespectful. That's twice as disrespectful.
Trey Kirby
Pretty bad.
Je Skeets
You're so unimpressive, I don't even know your name, but I'm going with you because you coach the wizard. So. Yeah. Any reactions to this one? Brian Keefe, Doc Rivers, Doug Christie, were your top three in this?
Tas Melis
I mean, I have to imagine some of these votes were taken after Bam went for 83 on the Wizards.
Je Skeets
You would. Yeah.
Tas Melis
And every player was like double A, man.
Je Skeets
Yeah, yeah, it's true. I mean, The Wizards lost 26 of their final 27 games too.
Tas Melis
It was coaching. Yeah, it was coaching that did. Wasn't dialing up the right plays. The X's and O's from Brian Keefe could have brought him over the top, but he just kept running out those terrible players they have. That's his fault.
Trey Kirby
It is funny to see Brian Keefe on top here because even as a daily NBA show, we also cover every single coaching move and coaching change that happens in two years ago, when Brian Keefe was given the rest of the year or the rest of the season, I believe it was as head coach, we all thought, who's that guy again. I mean we, we all wondered, that's Brian Keefe. We couldn't, we couldn't recognize him in a photo from what I remember.
Je Skeets
Oh yeah, for sure.
Trey Kirby
But yeah, it's a good point about the Bam game because it's all just timing with a lot of these things, I would say because a lot of these coaches are both most impressive and least impressive. They're on both lists, which is hilarious. But the Keith Doc Rivers and Doug Christie. The Rivers and Christie. I get it. The hate. A lot of hate out there.
Je Skeets
And these were obviously these votes were cast before Doc Rivers was leaving the Milwaukee Bucks.

Tas Melis
WIX has been pioneering website tech for 20 years and they've done it again.
Je Skeets
Try it for free@wix.com Harmony that's wix.com Harmony which current coach, aside from your own, do you find the most impressive? Joey Maz, Joe Missoula, 17.8% of the vote. Mark Dagnal there of the thunder in second just under 16% and then bicker staff, I like to see that at 11% and then yeah, you got Spolster there, Jordan Knott, Mitch Johnson, Charles Lee, JJ Redick. So yeah, I don't have a whole lot to add to this. I'm not really shocked by sort of who led this one. I will say the top twos in particular.
Tas Melis
Yeah, I mean Mark Dal has the best team in the league and gets great performances out of all those players the Celtics overachieved this year. Makes sense to me.
Je Skeets
Okay, anything to add?
Trey Kirby
Nothing to add. It's. It's just funny seeing JJ Redick least impressive. Also most impressive. Like they're on both.
Je Skeets
And also what's going on with coach of the year, the award? When are we handing this out? When is Missoula maybe getting it?
Tas Melis
That's a good question.
Je Skeets
Like what are we doing here?
Tas Melis
Maybe they're worried that he's going to destroy the trophy sort of thing. So Like, Victor, can you reinforce this in any sort of way? It's like, sorry, man. I put the. The guy in there already. I don't know what else you want me to do.
Je Skeets
He puts it in another one. He just makes it twice as big. Yeah. I mean, I'm assuming Missoula wins. That wouldn't have been my vote, but, yeah. It's like, where is it? I know we're waiting on mvp. Still, that. That one makes. Oh, fine. Okay. That one makes sense. I'm. I mean, I don't think the thunder gonna get bounced here anytime soon. I don't know. Maybe. But maybe Pickerstaff won this. Maybe with the Pistons. I think it was gonna be a close vote. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Maybe just mistimed it here. Maybe they thought the Celtics, they were up 3:1.
Je Skeets
So they're like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll do it in the second round. Final one.
Tas Melis
I think 21 coaches got a vote for most impressive, and 22 got votes for least impressive.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Tas Melis
So basically, players don't really care about the other team coaches.
Trey Kirby
No.
Je Skeets
Well, they care about this sort of. 151 votes cast for who is the league's best defensive player. And Wembanyama got 41% of the vote. I. You know, should it be higher?
Trey Kirby
Scotty Barnes should be higher.
Je Skeets
Okay. And then there's a bunch of guys who got a couple votes. Chris Dunn, Kawhi, Scotty, Jaden McDaniels at SAR Thompson, Case Wallace. It goes on and on and on. So I guess I was shocked that Wendy only got 41% of the vote, but still ran away with this TK. Yeah.
Tas Melis
Unanimous defensive player of the year, but couldn't get every vote from the player because, you know, some guys go against guards and not against big men. I suppose the thing that stuck out to me. Chat Holmgren deserves more votes here. He's got the same number as Mo
Je Skeets
Gay, and we're big Mo Gay fans. Yeah, he's a definitely better defensive player than him.
Tas Melis
I was like, okay, this guy. Well, he was second defensive player of the year, right?
Je Skeets
Yeah, yeah, he's good. Anything, dad.
Trey Kirby
That's nice to see some perimeter players get some respect. Even though I understand Wemby should probably got a 140%.
Je Skeets
Two scoops berry version. 140% of the vote. And the latest installment of the Athletics Anonymous player poll just dropped. I think this morning. They asked players if the league's biggest controversies of this season, the gambling, the tanking, the accusations of the Clippers circumventing The salary cap with Kawhi Leonard, whether it calls in the NBA's integrity sort of into question. So that's just up. So they keep sprinkling these anonymous polls out. They had. They won earlier too, maybe a month or so ago at this point with MVP and all that. So anyway, that was fun, really. The underrated. I mean, the overrated really gets people going. You make a graphic out of that, people are going nuts.
Trey Kirby
Do you feel like Sengun had a disappointing season, Trey? Because I know you're the biggest Sengun fan and his numbers are good.
Tas Melis
Yes, he did. Yeah, he definitely had a disappointing season. The Rockets. Did they overachiever, underachiever. Did they perfectly achieve? I think with Fred Van Bleek going down, you expected more from Sengoon, but I don't know if it's all his fart, all his fart, all his fault. But like the. The chemistry with Durant never really materialized. It seemed like there was a lot of times when Chengun was upset with his team. We now know that the Durant burner was him, basically, and it did have an effect for the team. So how does that throw a wrench into their chemistry? I don't know. He just didn't seem as impressive this year as he did last year.
Trey Kirby
Totally. Totally. And that's why, even though we assign his overrated votes to him being a guy who flops or winds on the floor, I think part of it was, yeah, this team could have been better if it was on Changun shoulders. It's a little like Evan Mobley and that you expected them just to be better.
Je Skeets
Well, yeah, that's expectations that comes with overrated. Absolutely. People are saying we, we thought more of you or we expected more of you or the growth to be more, whatever. And then maybe you didn't live up to those expectation. And that's not to say either of those guys can or will, but to me right now it makes sense why he led this vote and why I would vote for someone like Mobley.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. And Mobley again, first round, started poorly, then did pick it up. Starting to look better to me.
Je Skeets
Mobley just has too many playoff games where, I don't know, Mobley's out there and having very little impact on both ends sometimes. So. And. But he's talked about in this light of like this obviously elite guy and he is super young and he's going to prove me wrong. He'll probably have a monster game tonight, so we'll see there in Detroit.
Tas Melis
Okay. Though here on the one today, you're saying that they released. If you were NBA commissioner for a day, what change would you make? Top two votes, no back to backs and fewer games. 16 players apiece, it looks like voted for that. Okay, so, I mean, look, there are easily 32 old guys in the league who would be voting for this. But I do think it's interesting because I remember last year's poll was, would you shorten the season if it meant you made less money? And it was like 95%. No way.
Je Skeets
Right, Right.
Tas Melis
But they know they don't want to play this many games.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Worded a little differently here. And I feel like the reaction with this poll, too, to tanking was very minimal. Am I right? It was like they didn't really seem to care, the players.
Tas Melis
44% said it's a little problem.
Je Skeets
A little problem.
Tas Melis
28% said it's a big problem, and 28% said it's not a problem.
Je Skeets
Okay, so we'll.
Tas Melis
More people are saying it's a problem than not.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Okay.
Trey Kirby
Well, compared to last year, if I. If I remember correctly, a lot of the players anonymously said that they despised how fans were all over them about player prop bets and all that. You cost me my ticket. You didn't get to 11 rebounds.
Je Skeets
Right.
Trey Kirby
You know, that kind of thing, which was happening a lot. So you can take that as a positive turn here because this seems like I haven't read it, but less fans upset about players. I should say upset about that little
Je Skeets
boy of the night. Sponsored by Darren Hupke Hoopke. Darren Hoopke of Pixels and Polygons. I love this name. Darren writes in. I run a retro video game company called Pixels and Polygons. I wrote and published books and zines about old man, old games and even do a weekly podcast where I talk to different guests about games. I'm intrigued. You got me very intrigued here. Darren wrote I did a bonus episode called the association simulation series, aka the Ass, where my co host and I talked about the Real 992000 NBA season. And then we speculated on who would win in a simulation of the series from NBA 2K on Dreamcast. You can find the episode in the show notes or maybe in the chat here. And you can find all of Darren's books and merch over at Pixels and polygons dot net. I'm gonna be checking that out.
Tas Melis
I looked at it. Yeah, the quarterly zines he's putting out look pretty cool.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Tas Melis
Like a Game Informer or a Nintendo Power for us ancient people.
Je Skeets
God, I used to love Nintendo Power. Right. Oh my God.
Tas Melis
Learn some codes.
Je Skeets
Absolutely. Just. I didn't even have it. My next door neighbor had it. He had a subscription to Nintendo.
Tas Melis
Yeah. I never had a subscription of flipping through those pages. Pages.
Je Skeets
Yeah, yeah. It's great. Just. Oh yeah. And they like remember they would like. Dude, like they show you the whole level of like Mario. Yeah, yeah. Very cool. All right, so thank you Darren for sponsoring. And we'll be checking out pixels and polygons.net OG Anobi. I'm gonna give it to him. I thought about cat, thought about Wemby, but OG man coming through 24 points in the Knicks win. Shot 9:17 from the field. He hit 2, 3 pointers, 5 boards, few dimes, 4 steals is really what got him over the edge here. Had a block too, in 37 turnover. Free minutes too. Guy never coughs the ball up. So good game. Emoji. Another wo boy for this guy. That's his. I don't know, is that his second or third year of the postseason? Good stuff. All right, two games on tonight. They're on prime tonight, everybody.
Tas Melis
Prime time.
Je Skeets
I thought they were on prime last night so I was panicking. Where the hell are these games? Oh, espn. I totally forgot about espn. I'm like, I'm doing NBC, doing prime. You know, I'm just thinking that way.
Tas Melis
Check ion.
Je Skeets
That's right.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, I'm with you espn. You just don't think of it.
Je Skeets
I just forgot about.
Tas Melis
And then the old in with the new, huh?
Trey Kirby
Yep, just like that. Here come the primer.
Tas Melis
Inside the NBA and everything.
Je Skeets
But we got prime tonight and it's Cavs, Piston 7 o', clock, Lakers, Thunder 9:30. Detroit and OKC as the number one seeds are up 1 0. So any, any predictions here?
Trey Kirby
I'm glad it's on at 7pm Because Common, who does the, the voiceovers for these promos said come on over to Amazon prime at 6:30. I don't know, I'm doing voices, but he said 6:30. I know it's just a preview, it's just the opening, but I was worried. I was worried we're starting at 6:30 for some.
Je Skeets
No, never thought.
Trey Kirby
I never knew.
Je Skeets
I.
Trey Kirby
Hey, hey. I love the baseball playoffs. Those Games started from 11am either way.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Both on prime tonight on prime tomorrow. Great stuff. Will we see a better response from the Cavs from the get go? Everybody on that team has to play better. These are the games that can be stole from the home team. The road team can go in and steal after a good game won by the home team. So, yeah, I definitely expect the cast.
Je Skeets
Sounds like you don't think the Thunder are going to drop a game. We'll. Will they cover. I think it's 15 and a half again. I know. I know. It started even bigger game one. I think our buddy Griff said it was 15 and a half.
Tas Melis
It is. It is 15 and a half currently. I mean, I thought the Lakers. I thought the Lakers would beat the spread in game one, and they did not.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melis
But it's going to happen.
Je Skeets
Okay. Okay. Okay. And you got to feel on Cavs Pistons tonight.
Tas Melis
We're going 1 1, baby. Yeah. James Harden's coming through.
Je Skeets
Oh, my God.
Tas Melis
This is the one. This is the one. I guarantee. Guarantee he will have more baskets than turn.
Trey Kirby
Wow. Wow.
Tas Melis
Guarantee.
Je Skeets
Guarantee. Okay. That's a hell of a prediction.
Tas Melis
I've started watching NHL playoffs.
Trey Kirby
Oh, yeah?
Tas Melis
Yeah. Now that we've slowed down with the number of games that are happening on a night, you can easily flip back and forth. I'm adapting. Or adopting the Anaheim Ducks as my team this year.
Je Skeets
Wow. I didn't know that.
Tas Melis
They wear orange now.
Je Skeets
Yeah, they're loud.
Tas Melis
They got a lot of young Americans on their team. I'll call them the David Bowie Ducks.
Je Skeets
Okay. They. They won last night, 31 over the Golden Knights.
Tas Melis
Yeah, I didn't see the end of it, but.
Je Skeets
Sorry I spoiled it.
Tas Melis
I had it safe to watch at home.
Je Skeets
Who are you cheering for in the NHL playoffs?
Trey Kirby
Tom Dundon's team, the Carolina Hurricane.
Je Skeets
Yeah, the Cheap the Cheap team.
Trey Kirby
Hey, they're middle of the pack as far as payroll goes in the na.
Je Skeets
Good, Tom.
Tas Melis
Dun Dun.
Je Skeets
Stevie's a big fan.
Trey Kirby
Let's go to Raleigh. Go to Raleigh.
Je Skeets
All right, well, you have the Ducks. You have the Hurricanes. Well, I'll take the Canadian team. I'll take the Canadians. Down one. Oh, to the Sabers, though. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Did you see what those wild Buffalo Sabers fans did? You know how they. Every Buffalo fan does that thing. Yeah, they put a.
Je Skeets
A.
Trey Kirby
It's like a little mannequin thing with a Canadian talkie jersey on. On a table.
Je Skeets
So they're just doing what the Bills fans do.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, but they do some songs. They do. They try and make it a bigger thing.
Je Skeets
Okay, good. But, yeah, I do like cheering. I like the Sabers.
Tas Melis
Exactly.
Je Skeets
Because obviously they've never won, right? No, never one.
Tas Melis
Not even with Hasek.
Je Skeets
No. Wow. But anyway, for the Canadian team, Colorado up on the wild right now in round two. Two Zero Hurricanes up on the 70. Or the Flyers, Two Zero and then Buffalo up One Zero. And then that other one that you just said, Golden Knights and Ducks tied 1 1. Why am I going through the NHL? I don't know. But how about the Leafs winning the number one pick?
Trey Kirby
Cool.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melis
Is there a good guy this year? Another Connor? I mean, there's a Connor.
Je Skeets
Oh, no, I'm telling you, the number one pick name in the hockey has a. I think it's like, I want to say his name's Gary or something.
Tas Melis
Oh, good. Gary.
Je Skeets
Who's.
Tas Melis
I can tap dance for you a little bit here.
Je Skeets
I want to find out.
Tas Melis
I saw the no pigeons edition of why so many Jalens in the NBA. It was why so few Jalens in the NHL. Structural inequality is the main reason.
Je Skeets
Oh, well, it's not Gary. It's Gavin.
Tas Melis
Okay.
Je Skeets
I think Gavin McKenna is going to be the number one pick. That's who they're saying. Never heard of him. Place for Penn State, maybe?
Tas Melis
Gavin the Great.
Je Skeets
Gavin the Great. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Turbo. If you're a Survivor fan, join us at 1pm Eastern today. No buffs. It's on YouTube feeds on podcast feed. Link is in the show notes. Come on over, watch us Talk about episode 11. There was another crazy twist last night. Two people went home. We'll break it all down again at 1pm Eastern. So come join us. They did the Snoopy challenge.
Tas Melis
I like it.
Je Skeets
That would have been better. Instead of standing on one foot at the end, you just lie down on your back like Snoopy.
Trey Kirby
That would be pretty cool.
Tas Melis
We had an official review.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Je Skeets
We literally had this last night.
Tas Melis
Jeff Caucus.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Joe Borgia showed up.
Je Skeets
Yeah, Joe Borgia.
Tas Melis
He said no win.
Trey Kirby
Oh, interesting. I might tune in for Survivor for that reason.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Come join us on no buffs, 1pm Otherwise, you guys are here tomorrow. I am not. I am off to New Orleans for a wedding this weekend. I'm driving, baby.
Trey Kirby
Wow, you're already lying back in your chair.
Je Skeets
Oh, yeah. So if you have suggestions for a good lunch spot in Birmingham, let me know. Or a good bar to watch basketball in New Orleans on Saturday because the wedding's not till night and I'm sort of, like, hanging by myself. Don't know a lot of people at this wedding, so let me know.
Tas Melis
You should go to that place called Sports Drink. I've seen, like, the, you know, ball podcast does, like, live events there.
Je Skeets
Okay.
Tas Melis
Yeah, it looks like it. Like, it looks like Gatorade branded.
Je Skeets
Yeah, that's the place I should go to Sports Drink. You should go to Sports, watch a game. All Right?
Tas Melis
I guess. I don't know.
Je Skeets
All right, well, get your suggestions into me. Birmingham lunch and cool sports bar in New Orleans.
Tas Melis
What are you gonna let listen to
Je Skeets
on the car ride down? I don't know. That's. I mean, it's really up to Nora.
Tas Melis
She's passenger. Yeah, sure.
Je Skeets
It's her decision. Do you have a suggestion? No. Oh, okay. Well, suggest that too.
Tas Melis
Depends on when our show drops and when you leave.
Je Skeets
I'll be. I'll be maybe in. I'll be getting hopefully close to Birmingham by the time you guys are live. Well, especially by the time.
Tas Melis
Oh, you got an early leave, huh?
Je Skeets
I'm leaving mad early.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, it's not far to get to Birmingham.
Je Skeets
You'll be there. Hey, be careful. 2:85. Part of 2:85 is close.
Trey Kirby
Go for sure.
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
World cup on your side, unfortunately. Like the west direction you're going.
Je Skeets
Yeah, the direction I'm going. You're right, you're right, you're right. Okay.
Tas Melis
Little hockey breakdown, traffic breakdown, some New Orleans chatter.
Je Skeets
Yeah, yeah, that's a good seablock. Anyway, join me today with the Task with Trey, JD and Nora for Survivor and then join the guys here tomorrow morning at 10am Eastern. Until then, Clipper Rose, you heard it here first. Have a great time. Turn up. Love you guys.
Tas Melis
Awesome.
Trey Kirby
Thanks for joining us. And remember, get those recommendations into Skeets for his restaurants. Where are you going to New Orleans. You've got to have one.
Je Skeets
We have something booked. Yeah, for Friday night. Tomorrow night. I couldn't tell you the place.
Trey Kirby
I hope it's Cashone because it's solid. But I even like just the. The lunch part of Kashon. The. The. Oh, gosh muffin. Let me tell you the mustards. How many mustards you can have in that lunch spot? Oh, gosh. Just spray it down my throat.
Je Skeets
Look at that. I just got a text from the hotel we're staying at. Look forward to sharing the magic with you.
Tas Melis
You're staying at Disney?
Je Skeets
No, no. Magic of New Orleans. Of course. Where are we going? Task. Where are we going? Where are we going?
Tas Melis
Where are we running here?
Trey Kirby
Listen, the cachon dinner part, we've got. Did we go to Koson together? Either way, like, dinner's fine, but the lunch spot, that's.
Je Skeets
That's.
Tas Melis
I feel like we went to the dinner together and then we all individually went to the lunch place. I did have a muffaletta with a beautiful olive topping on. Yeah, we're running out of condiments to
Je Skeets
talk about here, man.
Tas Melis
We've hit Mustard. We've hit olive spread.
Trey Kirby
We went to Kashon. We saw Justin Verrier there that time. That was the dinner spot.
Je Skeets
We might be going.
Tas Melis
I saw Anthony Mac in New Orleans.
Trey Kirby
Really?
Je Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melis
Just say a guy you've seen.
Je Skeets
Nice.
Trey Kirby
In New Orleans.
Je Skeets
We might be going to Herb Saint.
Trey Kirby
Well, where's Joel Myers? Herb scene.
Je Skeets
Yeah. Or Lillette. Maybe Lillette. She may have booked. We were thinking about Coquette, but that was close to the hotel, and we said, no, let's Uber, baby. So, yeah. Okay. There you go. Don't give me those recommendations.
Trey Kirby
No, no, you haven't.
Je Skeets
I want to have a drink in New Orleans, man.
Trey Kirby
Nice. Yeah.
Public Investing Announcer
Of course.
Je Skeets
I'm gonna be driving across one of the longest bridges, am I not? Isn't that down there when you get down there?
Tas Melis
Yeah. Nice long bridge.
Je Skeets
I got a crazy long bridge. Like crazy. Okay, think. Hopefully it's not closed. Like 285.
Tas Melis
Longest bridge in the United States is in Louisiana.
Je Skeets
I think we go over it.
Tas Melis
Or we can Train causeway.
Je Skeets
Try and take a video of me on that river.
Tas Melis
Wow.
Je Skeets
Bridge mode.
Tas Melis
That's a long.
Je Skeets
It's crazy long.
Tas Melis
23 miles.
Je Skeets
That sounds fake.
Tas Melis
That's a long.
Je Skeets
Holy crap, that's long. Too long, baby. It's long, dude. I'm telling you.
Trey Kirby
Okay.
Je Skeets
Embrace the bridges, people.

I'm U.S. transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. The sound of a seatbelt. It's one of the most important sounds in our car. It means everyone is ready and everyone is safe.
Tas Melis
The more our kids see us put on our seatbelts, the more natural it
Je Skeets
is for them to put theirs on too. Make it a priority.
Tas Melis
Buckle up every time.
