It's better than us talking hoops for 40 minutes. But we are going to start because you guys were there last night for Cooper Flag's debut. Can I get your opinion on Cooper's debut? 10.6 boards, four assists, some defensive stats. 521, couldn't hit a three. Missed his one free throw.

Is he a bust? I'll ask a question. I'll ask the question. What did you think though?

It was exciting. Being there when there's a big time rookie summer league feels super important. And those few moments when him and Bronny James, a Las Vegas superstar When they were matched up with each other, it was really electric in the arena, seeing him bumping and jostling, and basically nothing happened until Cooper hit the jumper. But it felt cool watching Bronny reach in. Cooper handling the ball, he's big. He felt empowered to take a million shots in the first half. And it was shocking, I would say, to see that he was 5 for 21 because it felt like he played awesome.

[Jay Skeets]

Oh, you thought he had a better box score?

[Tasmelas]

Yeah, at times. At times I did. Maybe because he scored, like, four baskets in a row. Yeah, that was cool.

[Jay Skeets]

Okay, so was it similar to the Wembanyama?

[Trey Kirby]

It was better. It was.

It was better than Wemby.

It was. It was the best game involving a number one pick that I've seen in Las Vegas. Now, it's partly said it was the.

Worst game of his life.

I know. And that's how you're saying it's the best game.

In part, it's. It's because Brody was there, and there's. It felt like a home game for Las Vegas, for Los Angeles. That's part of it. But the other part of it is, despite going 5 of 21, the guy wanted it in his first game, unlike Wemby, he. Wemby didn't go out there and start shooting like Cooper Flight. Yes. Wemby was 2 of 13. Who gives a crap about stats in Las Vegas? What matters is it wasn't good. What matters is Cooper flag was trying to put the entire team on his back like he was mad. They're doubling him. He said, screw that. I'm going to try and dunk. He tried to dunk from that semicircle, from the dotted circle. He scored inside. He got Kyrie Irving jumping on the sideline in his bucket hat. He was going hard. Three straight possessions at Bronny James. I think he was.

What was the biggest.

[Trey Kirby]

Wanting to put it on his shoulders.

[Jay Skeets]

What was the biggest pop of the night? When he tried to dunk.

[Tasmelas]

When he tried to dunk, and when he hit the jumper over Bronny, there was a big pop in the crowd as well, because there was the buildup to it. After, like Taz said, three straight possessions, and he finally just was like, oh, wait a second. I'm six inches taller. I'll just shoot it over the top. And it went in. People went crazy for that. And then the missed dunk was great. You know, only NBA fans get hyped about a missed dunk, it feels like. But that was an important missed dunk.

[Jay Skeets]

It's Only sickos here in summer league. And in the crowd right now, I just want to know from the people here, here, like, who went yesterday to seek her flag. Yeah, yeah. Make some noise. Okay, so pretty good contingent.

[Trey Kirby]

There was a buzz and, yeah, there was buzz. And again, Cooper Flag wanted to look good, and that was the best part of it, that he was trying to score. And yeah, he lost the ball. And his shot wasn't perfect, but you could see how mad he was at himself. And I loved watching that in his first game. A lot of the times they just wait to feel it out like Wemby did from in game one and then game two. He was awesome.

[Jay Skeets]

But maybe Cooper will be tomorrow.

[Trey Kirby]

Yeah, he will be. He will be. And he made a beautiful pass on that first possession when he was doubled. And I mean, that cross court pass.

I was mostly impressed with the intangibles. Come on, man.

One question I always ask you guys at summer league is how who's the most exciting person you've seen either at the airport, in a hotel, at the arena, in your case, who's the most exciting person to you so far? We've only been here 24 hours.

We've only been here 24 hours. So the bar is low, but there was delight on my face seeing Jeremy Sochan in the airport at Las Vegas waiting for bags. I feel like he should be past the point of waiting for his.

Oh, so you sort of expect. Well, did you respect him or not respect him? Because he was waiting for his own bag like us?

[Tasmelas]

Okay, I do respect him, but I think. I think he should act above it. If I was him, I would be like somebody else, get my bags.

Evan Vassell was there getting his own bag. That man gets paid a lot of money, right?
