Oh yeah, it's been a while since
Jay Skeets
we've had worst of the week.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Jay Skeets
Couple weeks at least. We're going to, we're going to attempt to build an 82 and O team. TK yeah. This is all the rage right now. Oh yeah, this new app, 8020.com I
Trey Kirby
would love to see how many teams have been made ever. You know, I feel like it's been out for, I don't know, 72 hours. There's got to be 85 million teams.
Jay Skeets
They should have like a running tally. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Of how many teams percentage got to whatever wins.
Jay Skeets
So we're going to try and build the perfect team but maybe the worst team ever too. And maybe a mid team or something. We'll have some fun with it a little bit later. Yeah. And we'll end with some rapid fire fun because it's the drop. But first, a little mini game to preview. As our guy Shu wrote today on NBA.com, both the Knicks and Spurs probably think they can play better than they did in Game 1. We talked about that after Game 1. The Knicks won, but it was their worst offensive game of the playoffs. And for the spurs, it was their third worst offensive game of the entire season. Talking a hundred plus games. So intense. Yes. Exciting. Absolutely. But many expect tonight maybe to be a little bit more of a normal game, at least offensively. Regardless of what happens, we're going to be here in the Classic factory Saturday morning to break it all down. So join us at 9am Eastern. Going a little earlier on the weekend than we normally do during the weekday. So we'll have a podcast breaking down Game two. But again, let's, let's set the table here. Mellas, I got a few questions. First off, what was your biggest takeaway from the Knicks Game one win?
Tas Melas
Outside of Carl Anthony Towns playing better than Victor Weyama, I think OG Anunoby shooting through his struggles in this game was extremely important and extremely impressive because through the first three quarters he was not hot and he missed every single shot he had in the third quarter through three quarters, made just two buckets, had just five points, zero free throws, again missing every single shot in the third quarter. And then here comes hot OG so just fighting through it for OG to go scorching hot in that fourth to have 12 points. And that really stands out because as you said, it wasn't a pretty game for either team.
Jay Skeets
Offensively there was a lot of nerves
Tas Melas
for sure, especially that guy.
Trey Kirby
Oh man. Yeah, I thought OG had some brutal misses through three quarters. He looked like completely out of rhythm. He looked like maybe the guy that was most affected by the layoff that the Knicks had, but then caught fire right at the start of the fourth quarter. Hit two impossible threes. The one in the bottom left corner. We've seen OG make that kind of shot a bunch of times. A wide open catch and shoot. He can do it. But the four jab step over Victor Webanyama, you don't see that one nearly as much. Super impressive to be able to turn it around like that. And a lot of Knicks did that in game one.
Tas Melas
Yes. He's just willing to keep shooting like that one over. Wy, you said the numbers about 82 dot com. I wonder. The number of backboards on the side of the backboards hit in game two will be way down, I think, because that's what I'm starting. I'm starting to think like Wemby hit it a couple times. The stupid bank shot from Deuce McBride from the corner. That was a banker that went in. I mean those shots just. I mean the numbers are the real. That teams just. They weren't that great offensively. I mean, they're good obviously in the end, but it was evident as you're watching, even though you're excited about this, there was some butterflies.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melas
And that's going to be different. Yeah.
Jay Skeets
You would expect that to be different in game two. What do you have as your biggest takeaway?
Trey Kirby
I mean, my biggest takeaway is that the Knicks had the two best players in this series, at least in Game 1. To win in the playoffs, your stars have to be stars. And the Knicks got star like performances from their two main guys. Towns was the best player in the game. He outplayed Victor Wembanyama certainly on the offensive end. And he contributed enough defensively that made it tough on Wemby. Brunson was really, really up and down in this game. We talked about his great second quarter, then a down third quarter. Even in the fourth, he wasn't making every single shot, but he was up when it mattered. Got to have his star turn making plays in the clutch. And that's the way the Knicks want to do it. They'll play within 10 points for the entire game and then try and come back in the fourth quarter. And they think we've got the best guy in the series when it comes to clutch time. So Wemby, like I said in our preview, like, he's got to be the best player on the court. Four times during this series. He was not even the second best player on the court. In game one. So they need a much bigger performance from him in game two.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, to piggyback off of that. The big takeaway for me was Towns continuing to play the best basketball of his career here on both ends. And we went through it. Excellent defensive work on Wemby and, and attacked him on the other end. You know, the spurs game plan seemed to be Wemby get up on him, you know, try and take away all those passing, you know, plays from town. So play them aggressively out there on the perimeter. So Cat would just like put his head down, take his big first step and blow by him on the left hand side. Had some success three times scored once, got blocked once, had another one. Sorry. Sort of like got caught in between what he was going to do and missed it. But that's a great, great effort from him and sees. Okay, that's how you're going to play me, all right. I'm considered myself the best big man 3 point shooter of all time, but I can also drive. So he was just lights out. Any outplayed Wemby and he's, you know, solid on the boards too. And she's generally set the tone. And then the final takeaway is just, yeah, Jalen Brunson's a fucking dog. He is. And they all know it. And they all play just as hard as him. You know, Hart and Cat and all these guys that sub in. He was just awesome. I mean, he still got to the 30 plus mark despite having a bad game. And I think a lot of the looks he was getting and generating, there's just some he's missing. So he could have very easily, is my point. Had like a 45 point game easily in game one. Knicks are six and oh, in the postseason when Brunson scores 30 plus points, not a surprise because they haven't lost a lot of games. But yeah, as he goes, they follow. So those were huge takeaways. Anything else?
Tas Melas
Well, you said heart. Let's consider this idea for a musical, Broadway on New York. Do the heart, man. Where game, Game one is the opening act because it didn't start extremely well. And so the opening act is him going at Victor Wembanyama getting blocked. Wemby, the tall guy goes the other way. I don't know how you do this in a musical, but either way, the other play, the play goes the other way. The guy just hits a three just like that. But then Hart made up for it with the grittiness of a New Yorker in the fourth quarter. The way he was able to get that pass that was being saved to Victor Wembanyama, Wemby's gonna catch it. But then Josh Hart just comes in and steals that thing. Then he steals it from Deer and Fox in a one on one situation. But midway through the fourth, the big steal, the big save to end this game. Do the heart, man. 27 minutes. 27 minutes to get 15 board, six assists, four steals, and a blog. It feels like he played 50 minutes with how much he's doing out there and he only scored three points. It just feels blue color. It feels New York for the. The working class. You know, there's a lot of rich people in New York, obviously, but it felt like you could do the heart, man with a little musical act.
Jay Skeets
Plus 22 for heart in 27 minutes.
Tas Melas
Yeah. And he was in foul trouble. Yeah. And still fought through it, so.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, for sure. All right, let's keep it going here. What's an adjustment you expect to see in game two here from game one?
Trey Kirby
The main thing is the way the spurs are going to use Wemby to attack. No doubt the Knicks were following him when he would roll to the basket. So guess what? We're going to keep doing pick and rolls because that's how New York's going to play it. And I think they are fine sending him to the free throw line, and the spurs are happy with sending him to the free throw line. But you heard Mitch Johnson talking after game one saying we got to get him the ball in more space, we got to get him some downhill opportunities. So I think we're going to see a lot of Victor standing in the corner, cross screen. He comes up, sets a screen, just making the Knicks move around before they get into the pick and roll, which may be keeps the bodies moving around enough so that Wemby has a bit more of a lane. And I think what you're going to see most of all is less ISO against the set defense. Like, that's just easy for the Knicks to get into Vic's lap, for the. For lack of a better word. But they are ready for his spin moves, they're ready for his dribble attack. So they need to get him the ball with like a tiny little bit of an advantage rumbling down the lane rather than, you know, having to cook whoever out on the perimeter and then go through the guards who are reaching down and then have OG Anunoby there as well. So I think we're going to see a smarter approach from the spurs rather than just saying, wemby, go out there and get Us some buckets. That's not his strength necessarily. He plays like a big man at times. He can rip the threes, but you don't want him thinking 3 point first. So I think it'll be on the spurs to get him the ball in the interior where he can dominate. And that also gives him a chance at offensive rebounds. Right. And put backs, these sort of things where easy baskets are happening rather than having to fight super hard for every score.
Tas Melas
Yeah, no doubt. Instead of him starting the offense on the perimeter, other guys start offense. Picks are set for him so he can get the ball by the elbow. Especially just guys moving. As you said, there was too much
Jay Skeets
hero ball and not enough like cutting, screening. They. They've been talking about this after game one.
Tas Melas
Yeah. So there will be that big adjustment. What did they do to stop us? And Wemby can set also better picks, not only to have a pick and roll, but to just catch it at the elbow, just more of that. And then things are so different if he starts from there and guys are moving side to side. Simple as that. Simple as that. Wemby catching it at a different spot, I think will be so different for Victor Wembanyama, who could take one dribble to get to the rim or zero dribbles to get to the rim and just face up guys or shoot over guys.
Jay Skeets
There were a lot of similarities to the spurs opener against Minnesota in the second round to this Game one loss to the Knicks in the finals. Cold three point shooting was one of them. They couldn't hit a shot to save their life in that game one against the Wolves 10:36 from deep. They went 11:42 on Wednesday. Wemby struggled against Gobert 5 of 17 in that game one. He struggled here in game one of the NBA finals 6 of 21. And then to quote Hollinger here, it was just like these offensive short circuits that sort of felt self inflicted. A lot of the time I had in my notes from game one didn't come up when we did our breakdown. And the spurs just felt like they were rushing so many shots like really early. Like one pass, field goal attempts. I think Legs even brought it up on the broadcast. He made note of it. And I was wondering maybe that is a part of the spurs game plan though. They're like hit ahead because they were hitting ahead to like shooters on the side and they were just letting it rip. Like you love the confidence, but you're also like, when they're not dropping, you're like, okay, there's that so much for that possession. We had the ball for six seconds. So you gotta find the balance there. And I know it's different if some of those go down and you're feeling good. Cause then you like got a good shot up before the defense could set. Cause the Knicks are a great defensive team, but I think a better balance. And this all goes with Wemby. They only had 16 assists in game one. That's the lowest they've ever had in a Wemby game. That's crazy. So, I mean, you got to get a sip when you miss. You gotta.
Trey Kirby
Many times.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melas
Yeah. It's funny with those one passes to the corner. Cause you see that when the spurs are cooking.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melas
And they make a lot of sense. It's just that feel the vibe if you're starting inside and out. And then the shots like that develop afterwards instead of. I'm going to take it on myself to. To do that. That's what ends up happening. Only 16 assists for a team that likes to move the ball.
Trey Kirby
I'd also like to see Wemby roam off of Hart for the most part. And what the spurs did a ton in game one that was really effective is Wemby starts on whoever he starts on. Sometimes it's Town, sometimes it's Hart. They run a screen and roll. He just goes and stands by the rim. All of the other guys on the spurs are switching out to every single corner shooter. Our guy pops out to the wing or somebody drives. They switching man to man defense. And Wemby's basically playing one man zone. That keeps him at the basket for defensive rebounding, which is super important. Obviously his rim protection is going to factor in there. The Knicks were not getting good looks when Wemby was hanging out by the rim, as you can expect. So I think we'll see less Towns getting a chance to attack Wemby from 30ft away. Because like, if he gets by him, he's strong enough to keep him away sometimes. You know, Wemby's still able to reach over for the block, but there's nobody else at the rim. If he gets by him, it's like, I think that Towns can finish over Champagne, as we saw.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
I think we'll also see less Champagne switching on to Brunson because Jillian Champagne is a good guard, he's a good defender, but he's probably the fourth best defender on the spurs from the perimeter. So I think as we saw down the stretch, they finally started doubling. Brunson got the ball out of his hands, goes To Bridges. Dumb foul by Fox, sends him to the free throw line. But that's what you want. You want Bridges with the ball in his hands, making a decision.
Tas Melas
Right.
Trey Kirby
Rather than Brunson.
Jay Skeets
And I don't see why New York's going to change their defensive strategy at all. It is shut down the paint, take it away as much as possible. Wemby only 8 points in the paint. Only 42 total for the Spurs. That's great. Like, I mean, yeah, no lob attempts or anything like that. How they're playing Wemby. So that's the game plan. That means there are shots to be made on the outside, Champagne on fire in the first half. And then nobody else could really contribute. So it does feel like one of the adjustments is, hey, hit shots. Hey, hey, play a little bit better.
Trey Kirby
Makes them free in addition.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, to the flow of the offense and screening and cutting like we talked about. But guys gotta just score here. And I think. I think both teams actually, the Knicks included, I think we're gonna have a higher scoring game here in game two just because of the shot making. I feel after the nerves have now settled a little bit, but we'll see. Third question here. Which player's performance has been the most surprising or disappointing through one game?
Tas Melas
We'll go to the disappointing side. The spurs guards Stefan Castle, Dearon Fox in different ways. Dearon Fox. I wonder how good that right ankle is. I thought it would be fine physically, waiting for a few days, but I thought sometimes just the rotation defensively wasn't there. I mean, that one where Josh Hart got a layup because Victor Wyatt was trying to steal the ball 35ft away, he said, oh, this is my time, baby. And he went and laid one in. Darren Fox just didn't rotate. So there's that. When Dylan Harper also came in, we thought, oh, maybe Dylan Harbor's gonna play the fourth quarter, play more minutes. He played 27 minutes, a good amount. And he's only in his rookie season, played more than 30 minutes just once. So there's that type of feel. I wonder if they're just gonna stick him in more. But I think the hope is that Stefan Castle just plays better too. Simple as that. It was just. Just bad to start. Nerves high for that guy. He just wasn't able to score inside. So it's all the guard play for me. One of those guys has to play better. Fox or Harper. And physically I'm watching Fox everywhere, everywhere he goes. Is he right?
Jay Skeets
I mean, he's of course playing through a high ankle Sprain.
Trey Kirby
He's taking a lot of jumpers for a guy who's supposed to be quick and gets to the rim. But Harper, I just think Harper's better than Fox at this point. So maybe he only played once over 30 minutes during the regular season. He played 45 minutes in the double overtime game against the Thunder, so we know he's capable. And guess what? There's only six mock maximum games left, so roll with Harper. I think this falls into the disappointing and surprising. Like to see the way this guy came in and scored 10 points in the first six minutes that he was out there and just looked so unfazed, so ready for it, bringing like a, like a small chip on the shoulder. He's, he's like maybe like a bugle on the show shoulder, you know, because I don't think he's like necessarily like trash talking people, but every time he's scoring, he'll give you a quick. He lets him look at you a little bit. You know, maybe he's not saying anything, but he's letting you know, here I am, I'm ready to play. So if Fox isn't 100%, which he must not be, then Harper needs to play as much as he possibly can.
Jay Skeets
From the positive side of things, surprising, I guess. Jose Alvarado was a part of another very strong Knicks bench effort. I thought he gave him great minutes there when we had the scare with Brunson's knee and ankle and it's like, okay, Jose, you're in here. Seven points, four boards there. Again, while Brunson had checked out, he challenged Wemby on that one play where we talked about like the high IQ for him to be like, okay, I'll go Adam, I'll just put it off the glass underneath the rim and he'll goaltend it. Just smart, smart stuff. And I think that's just a big difference to me, this second unit of the Knicks that's a huge positive from last year's Knicks team compared to this year and credit to Mike Brown and the pieces they have in place there. They trust these guys when they come in and everybody contributing, be it Deuce, Jose Alvarado, Mitchell Robinson and so on. So I went with Jose though, because you're asking a lot for a guy who doesn't play a ton to like come in here and sort of like keep the offense running and try and keep us attached in this game while our, while our captain gets treated in the back for a second then does it refuses to wear the knee brace. I Forgot about that part. They tried putting it on him. He's like, no. So I'll go Alvarado. But really just the bench in general. Just helping them out.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. I mean, outside of Harper, the Spurs bench gave him nothing, literally four points. Calden Johnson was maybe like a little too hyped up for this game the way he was playing. We talked about how Carter Bryant just got torched by Jalen Brunson. I think it's worth, you know, maybe giving him one more minute on Brunson, but I wouldn't give him that many more. He didn't play in the second half. I don't think of this game.
Tas Melas
No, he didn't.
Trey Kirby
So I don't know. Harrison Barnes looked pretty old. Luke Cornett looked pretty slow. They need these guys to at least be valid rotation members.
Jay Skeets
They need seven guys is what we're getting at here. They had six arguably in game one with Harper playing well. But yeah, you'd like to have two guys contributing off the bench, even if it's just like a small section of a quarter. For sure.
Tas Melas
Yeah. They're trying to rely on Harrison Barnes a lot because Kelvin Johnson. So I had a bad game. Yeah, he's way better than that. It will be interesting to see the balance of those because Landry Shammit was also killed on defense.
Jay Skeets
Forgot to bring him up offensively. At least he hit threes.
Tas Melas
He did, yeah. He was -16 the first half because they were going at him. Yeah, Dylan Harper's going at him. He loves going at Landry Shambit. But can some of the other guys contribute off the next bench? If Landry Shamrot doesn't have it going like Deuce hit a couple threes. So they had the flow. We'll see what happens in game two. The spurs obviously gotta be better who wins it.
Jay Skeets
Let's get your predictions here. I mean, does it have to be the spurs, like they cannot be down.02 in the NBA Finals? Two home games at that. I don't think a team's ever come back from. Yeah, from drop first two at their. On their home court.
Tas Melas
Yeah. And the last three teams that have won game one of the NBA Finals on the road have lost the series. It's only three series. But last year's Pacers, the Celtics before that in 22, they beat Golden State in game one. And the third one was the spurs in 2013 with that Tony Parker shot.
Jay Skeets
All right.
Tas Melas
And then. And then lost. It's weird with the Spurs. This is the first NBA Finals that they've trailed in Their history.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, that's right. They always win game one.
Tas Melas
Yeah. I mean the one that they trailed was that Miami series I was just talking about when they were trailing four, three. That's the only time they trailed the series. The other ones they were leading. But I just think the nerves are going to be totally different for the San Antonio Spurs. Simple as that. Yeah, they have to win game two and it starts with Wemby. They just weren't, were ready to play, weren't comfortable. Now they have something to play against. They know what the Knicks plan is going to be and so they have to adjust.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, it's the rare must win game too, but it absolutely is. And usually when the road team wins game one, home team bounces back in game to factor in. The spurs have back to back losses three times in the entirety of 2026. Now one of them was against the Thunder in the last round. So it does happen. This is a must win for the Spurs. So I think we'll probably see like shorter rotations and if Barnes and Cornett can't give them anything, you're not going to see the floor in the second half. We are going to see some high minute totals, I believe. Unless, you know, this game gets out of hand either way. So the spurs have to win, whereas the Knicks, I don't think they're going to be resting on just getting one in San Antonio. But it definitely means more for San Antonio tonight.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Jay Skeets
Yeah. Only five teams in history have gone down.02 in the NBA Finals and won the championship.69, Celtics 77, Blazers 06, Heat, 2016 Cavaliers, obviously coming back against the warriors and the 21 Bucks. But as we talked about, nobody has done it going down.02 when you had home court advantage in the Finals. So they have to win tonight. And the way the Knicks are playing, by the way, they haven't lost in 12 straight games too. You got to snap the Knicks streak here at some point if you're going to win the Finals. So yeah, I'm with you. It feels like a must win, which makes it very exciting here on a Friday night. Final bonus question. When asked by a reporter what he would spend $7,500 on to see which is the basically the quoted price, I guess, of a ticket to game three on Monday night in Madison Square Garden. It's probably only gone up since Brunson said, quote, a live Michael Jackson performance and then he said, that's a good question. That is a good question. I don't know who asked it, but good question. I want to know what would you spend 7, $500 on to see Give
Tas Melas
me Air Corgi, the prediction dog. That thing is all the hype. He was there in San Antonio. She. Oh, yeah, it's Lilo. I believe her name is Lilo. She has a real name. It's not just Eric. Corgi, the prediction dog. She was there in San Antonio. They brought her out between. In between the first and second quarter. It was worth 7, 500 to see her. The arena erupted.
Jay Skeets
You give me five bucks, you can come over and see my dog anytime you want.
Tas Melas
You can't lift her like this.
Jay Skeets
I mean, yeah, she's got a lot of weight to her. She's probably overweight.
Tas Melas
A little bit like a Simba. Like, that was. It was cool. I think Lila was a little bit overwhelmed. Oh, yeah. By every. All the lights and all the noise. So that was a little much. Yeah, but worth it. Every single penny. Yeah, I would. I'll do it. I'm buying it. Call me Adrian. Woof. Now.
Jay Skeets
Oh, boy. Oh, boy.
Tas Melas
I think it would. I think it would be worth.
Jay Skeets
Worth it.
Tas Melas
I think it would be worth it right now. I mean, call me by the hype. Oh, Jesus. Nice. Nice.
Jay Skeets
All right. So you would spend $7 to see
Trey Kirby
the Air Corgi
Tas Melas
be with this.
Jay Skeets
I saw the. The Air Corgi because obviously incorrect already in the finals prediction because the Corgi had game one going to the spurs, if I remember correctly, when Trey was going through the play by play. But the Air Corgi is saying threw it on purpose because people were getting a little suspect about how great she was at predicting games. So it's now throwing games on purpose just to take her off the scent or take us off the scent.
Tas Melas
She also said the NHL finals is going to be really good. Well, she didn't say that, but because they have been really good. She's got the Gold Knights. I also have the Gold Knights. I think she's going to be right.
Jay Skeets
It's one one.
Trey Kirby
Man, that was a crazy.
Jay Skeets
They came back third period last night.
Trey Kirby
That was awesome.
Tas Melas
Great series so far.
Jay Skeets
All right. What is Trey Kirby spending $7,500 on
Trey Kirby
to see Talking Heads reunion at Sphere?
Jay Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
This fear's awesome.
Jay Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
I want to go back there, and if I'm going to spend, you know, almost $10,000, I want it to be for a band that I've never seen in my life and that I would die to see Talking Heads have, like, never play together. They broke up in 1991, but they're like a visually interesting band as well. Stop making sense. And all time classic. Probably, well, at the worst, like the second best concert film ever made. I would love to see. I mean, they're old now.
Tas Melas
They are old now.
Trey Kirby
But I. I have. I have confidence that David Byrne still has weird moves. Oh, yeah, he's got great weird moves.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, that's a good answer. Okay, great stuff, guys. All right, let's hear you.
Tas Melas
What about you?
Jay Skeets
I didn't really think about it. I was just asking the questions today. What would I spend $7,500 to see? I mean, another Raptors championship? I probably would, guaranteed. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Tas Melas
You walk in, you know you're going to win a championship.
Jay Skeets
Yeah. So give me one of those. That's maybe just getting greedy, though. It wasn't that long ago we won one, but will we ever see another one in our lifetime? You got to start thinking this stuff, you know, mortality, man.
Trey Kirby
What are you talking about? You saw your team win in 2019. It's been since 1998. Since the balls of one.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, but you won so many. You got to see them.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, yeah.
Jay Skeets
And you were in your formative years.
Trey Kirby
But I couldn't go.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, yeah, True, true. Yeah. It's not like you could fly. Well, you're drive there. Yeah, yeah.
Tas Melas
If we're gonna see another one for the Raptors. Depends on how long you live, really. You know, like, I'm planning on living till I'm 100, so.
Jay Skeets
100?
Tas Melas
Yeah, I got 60. 60 years.
Jay Skeets
My grandpa turned 93 today. Well, happy birthday.
Tas Melas
I don't know why I'm.
Trey Kirby
I promised Laura 85 when we got married.
JD
That's.
Trey Kirby
She's like, you gotta let it be 85 because she's gonna live to be 100. Yeah, I can do 15 years at the end,
Jay Skeets
no problem. All right, well, let's hear especially the answer to those last two questions. Who do you got winning tonight in game two? And. Yeah, what are you spending $7,500 to see? Is anybody out there going to say a live no dunks podcast? Because we can make that happen if
Trey Kirby
you are very serious.
Jay Skeets
Not a problem. Not a problem. All right, we'll take a quick break and then we'll get into worst of the week and the 82 and 0 game. Vibe coding is everywhere right now, but it's not just for apps anymore. Now it's making its way into website creation. WIX has introduced WIX Harmony, a Vibe coder for websites that lets you type what you want and generate a site. Ready to use right away, complete with forms, payments, security, and more built in. And WIX Harmony doesn't require AI for everything. You can still click and edit anything manually or select an element and have Aria, your AI agent, make updates for you. It's a smart solution to the frustration of repeatedly prompting AI just to make a small change. Try it for free@wix.com that's wix.com.

Jay Skeets
Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers. And guess what? We have some big news.
JD
What's the news?
Jay Skeets
Huge news. We created our own podcast called hey Jonas.
Trey Kirby
We invented a podcast.
Jay Skeets
Well, we didn't invent it.
Trey Kirby
We.
Jay Skeets
We just contributed to First People to do Podcasts. Pretty. Yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts, but this one's extra special. So how did we. How do we actually come up with the name hey Jonas? Guys, I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it and, well, we were thinking. I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers. This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing a
Trey Kirby
bit for the podcast. People could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
Jay Skeets
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, hey, Jonas. And offered it up as a potential title. But thanks for remembering that. Guys, listen to hey Jonas on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Tas Melas
Your husband is not who you think he is. Your body is not what you thought it was. Your identity is formed by a secret history. I'm Dani Shapiro, and these are just a few of the stunning stories I'll be exploring on the 14th season of Family Secrets.
Jay Skeets
And just then, we felt the plane turn in the air. So much so that the bags that
JD
were under people's seats just kind of
Jay Skeets
flew into the aisle.
Tas Melas
Each week, we dive headfirst into the complex power of secrecy.
Trey Kirby
How it shapes our identities and relationships and how it ultimately comes can reveal
Tas Melas
to us our truest selves.
Trey Kirby
My daughter, she's pretending she doesn't know, but is trying to cook and feed me and keep me alive because I wasn't Eating anything and me pretending like everything was fine.
Jay Skeets
He kind of shoved me out of the way and said, move. And he went out the front door and he jumped in a car and drove off. And that was the last time I saw him.
Tas Melas
Listen to season 14 of Family Secrets on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. No Dunks is brought to you by FanDuel. Right now, new customers can get $350 in bonus bets guaranteed after betting $5 for seven straight days. I had to look at that multiple times. $350 in bonus bets after betting $5 for seven straight days. Sounds like a good investment. If you've got discipline, just bet $5. $5 for seven days. That's $35 to get $350 in bonus bets guaranteed. So it's discipline, discipline, discipline.
Jay Skeets
10 exit.
Tas Melas
Yeah, you gotta have the discipline of like a. Of a Wemby, you know? So 350 in bonus bets guaranteed. If you have a problem getting that guaranteed bonus bet money, let them know Dunk sent you. They'll take care of it. Okay, we got you. You can play your game any way you want. Seek out individual player markets for baskets and rebounds or build the same game parlay for a chance at a bigger piece payout.
Jay Skeets
It's up to you.
Tas Melas
And best of all, with FanDuel, you get paid instantly. When you win, be part of the championship moment like never before with FanDuel, an official partner of the NBA.
Jay Skeets
All right, if you're just joining us, hit the like button, subscribe and hit your boys with the five star ratings and reviews. Okay, it's been a while. It's time for worst of the week, ladies and gentlemen. The worst of the week.
Tas Melas
We got three nominees. The first nominee is the winner because it's the worst one. But JD Said we're gonna have to see this again. The fan who ran on the court, I didn't want to see it, but we gotta see it one more time. This fan who ran and tried to take a selfie with Wemby and Mitchell Robinson. I guess he did take a selfie. Just wasn't a very good one.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, got the angle all wrong.
Tas Melas
And then the NBA released a statement from an NBA spokesman. Quote, the individual who entered the court area during game one of the finals was arrested and will be banned for life from all NBA arenas. Let's see how they do. How do they do that? They've just got a picture of every metal detector in every arena just knowing that this what this guy looks like
Jay Skeets
James Dolan's like, no problem. I gotcha.
Tas Melas
We will scan you. A second individual will also receive a lifetime ban for his role in the incident. What did that second fan do?
Jay Skeets
Co conspired or.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Jay Skeets
In this. Yeah. I mean, my guts. Well, I don't know for sure, but this, the.
Trey Kirby
That.
Jay Skeets
This is a kid. It's a juvenile. I don't know how old he is. I'm guessing he's 17 or something like that. Was the other person. I want to know a juvenile? Or was it, you know, an adult? And they're like, well, we're going to ban you as well.
Tas Melas
Yes.
Jay Skeets
For obviously making this happen. Yeah. Okay. No brainer here, but it is a good point. Like, how do you. How do you do this? How does the. How does every arena keep this kid, or as he turns into an adult out?
Trey Kirby
What if he wears it as the mouth?
Tas Melas
Yeah, yeah, I agree.
Trey Kirby
And I also wonder, when did. When did things change for people? Running on the court, running on the field. Used to get famous for doing this. Morgana the Kissing Bandit was like a beloved thing in baseball. She would run out and, you know, kiss a player and, like, she did it again, and now people despise it when it happens.
Jay Skeets
Well, I would say things started to turn when, like, people started stabbing athletes and Monica Selles. Yeah, sure. When it got dark and it wasn't just silly and fun, but. Yeah, yeah.
Tas Melas
Baseball's different, too. You really.
Jay Skeets
Baseball, you're hoping for it.
Tas Melas
Oh, my God.
Trey Kirby
Remember the ump fight when the two guys at the White Sox stadium ran on and, like, started fighting an umpire? That was a crazy one.
Jay Skeets
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I do remember that.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Tas Melas
Wow.
Jay Skeets
They were like. Were they like a son and father?
Trey Kirby
Son and a dad? I think shirtless, if I'm not mistaken. What you're seeing. A lot of baseball games these days. Shirtless boys are everywhere.
Jay Skeets
Did you see this last night?
Tas Melas
What?
Jay Skeets
Braves. Braves. Jays.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Jay Skeets
Okay, there's this thing. Trey. Trey can explain it better, but we're watching the game. We hooped last night. Then we went to a bar to have a drink and bite after they had the game on. And it's like seventh or eighth inning, Jays were up 3 1, and they kept showing up in the upper. Upper bowl of the Brave Stadium like, I don't know, 200 college kids all with their shirts off, waving their.
Tas Melas
That's a thing. That's a thing.
Jay Skeets
Exactly. That's what trace. Apparently this is spread tarps. What the hell's going on here?
Tas Melas
I don't know. Fans are bored at baseball games and they decide, all right, let's collab.
Jay Skeets
Hold on. It's way more calculated than that. It's like, yeah, like obviously college, you know, frats or whatever, all going to said game.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Jay Skeets
And then shirts come off.
Tas Melas
That's their startup. That's their startup. Yeah. You know.
Jay Skeets
Oh, my. Well, it worked on the baseball broadcast. They showed them like as much 30 times within a span of an inning and a half that we watched. It was insane.
Trey Kirby
It almost felt like we were watching the tarps off show. And every once in a while they'd be like, all right, let's cut back to baseball real quick here for a pitch. And back to the young boys twirling their shirts.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Jay Skeets
Crazy.
Tas Melas
Taking the shine from Vladimir Guerrero, who had a double and he gave Ronald Acuna the Dikembe Mutombo finger. You can't throw me out. Because it was a shot to right field where Acuna throws out guys for from. Couldn't get him. Couldn't get him.
Jay Skeets
Just saw the final score. By the way, Bra or Jays were up 31 when the Tarps were off and the guys had their shirts off.
Tas Melas
Oh, no.
Jay Skeets
Then the Braves hit a home run. It was 3:2.
Trey Kirby
Oh, no.
Jay Skeets
Jay's win, 7:2. Yeah.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Jay Skeets
It backfired. Put your shirts on, boys.
Trey Kirby
Exactly.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Put those brownies away. Blue Jays are in town and they're inspired.
Jay Skeets
That's right.
Tas Melas
Second worst of the week nominee here. The AI ESPN used to create visuals in game one.
Jay Skeets
Yeah. A lot of slop.
Tas Melas
There's a bunch of different things here. We've got a Spurs related one. First, they used Tony Parker's old photo to get him to be moving his finger. And it looked really, really strange as he sort of swinging his finger. It was. It was just a photo of him at Mid Court Arena. Mid Court of an arena. But look at. Does it not. It doesn't look like Tony Parker.
Trey Kirby
Right.
Jay Skeets
It looks nothing like him.
Tas Melas
Yeah, you see, that's the photo we're showing to you on YouTube. So they made the smile way bigger just so he could wag his finger. It's really strange. Yeah, right.
Trey Kirby
It's really strange.
Tas Melas
It is really strange. There was. There was a bunch of them. There's another one with Bill Russell.
Jay Skeets
Yep.
Tas Melas
It just kind of looks odd because his arm, his right arm kind of goes down, but it doesn't look. And the ball is spinning. I mean, it's not really. And then Scotty Pippen's left arm, you could see his muscle kind of wobbling back and forth. I mean, that one isn't as bad as this, but there's just weird images. There's also this one here. I mean, this is. This just looks bad. We're seeing the lock. Kind of a locker room type of look of three nicks on one side and three spurs on the other side with just big heads. What up with the AI that ESPN used and apparently they are reevaluating whether it will continue in games two and three. Just looks a little strange.
Jay Skeets
It turns out everybody hates. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tas Melas
Tony Parker mid court, celebrating confetti all over him. It's a photo.
Jay Skeets
Wrong with just showing the photo.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Jay Skeets
Why does he have to be wagging his finger number one or smiling? It's so strange.
Tas Melas
Yeah, that smiles weird.
Jay Skeets
It's so cheap too.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, it looks like an actor playing Tony Parker. Yeah, go. Go sit there and wag your finger around like you're Tony Parker.
Tas Melas
So we'll see if they do it again tonight because it's just like. It just makes you feel weird. And you also brought up the. The intro as well.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of that in there too. I mean, a little different.
Tas Melas
It's different.
Jay Skeets
I mean, obviously it's. Yeah, they're stylizing it to make all these iconic plays from history of NBA Finals. Yeah, all this rotation. You guys saw it. I guess you said after, after game one, but. Well, I assume we'll see it again tonight. I wouldn't. Can't imagine they're changing that.
Trey Kirby
Scrap it at the last minute.
Jay Skeets
Probably not.
Trey Kirby
Probably not.
Tas Melas
Last nominee for worst of the week. Kelvin Johnson hit de' Aaron Fox below the belt. Now, many debate here as Kelton Johnson was leaving the game, de' Aaron Fox entering the game, whether or not he really got him in the genitals.
Jay Skeets
The hibberts.
Tas Melas
Yeah, I don't think he did. I think it was just above. But you look at the photo and you can see deer. And Fox is a little. A little perturbed.
Jay Skeets
Like what.
Tas Melas
What up with that?
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Tas Melas
So it was just weird. It was just. Kelton Johnson just misplaced his hand, I guess. I guess he was kind of thinking about his high five. He was doing a no look high five sort of thing and it didn't happen.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, he was off all night. Calton Johnson, bang. Yeah, he. He was a corner of the backboard guy as well. And then, you know, went mons pubis on it.
Tas Melas
Yeah, that's where I think it was. Mons pubis. It was on top.
Trey Kirby
That's one of the best body part
Jay Skeets
names to say I was pissed we didn't include that in random notes after game one. You know, we have a lot of random notes. Yeah, we saw that one. Somehow slipped through the crack. You know, that's on us. You know, we're human. We missed it, but then we got it on worse of the week.
Tas Melas
Yeah, yeah, we didn't mention. Also, Dylan Harper yanked Jalen Brunson's jersey, you know, on a similar hit. Another guy, this was during a play and he got away with it. So we missed that one too. But we got the mons pubis here, we got the FUPA type of thing. Cool.
Jay Skeets
Hey, you know, speaking of the AI slop that ABC ESPN was doing there in game one, did you see the backlash to Panini, the basketball card company? Yeah, I got to share this with you. So they recently came under criticism because of these insane player descriptions on some of the backs of the cards. In particular, 76ers rookie Vijay Edgecombe. He had some very head scratching blurbs. And I want to give you one example. This is on the back of the card for Vijay Edgecombe. Nice looking card on the front. Under flickering gym lights, Edgecombe plays like a rogue thunderstorm on roller skates. One second, calm the next, spinning into crossovers that make defenders question gravity itself. He crashes the rim like lightning seeking a target, leaving crowds gasping and opponents wondering when the forecast turned lethal. Who the fuck is writing this? So everybody's like, that's AI. You're definitely getting AI to do these.
Trey Kirby
Too flowery.
Jay Skeets
They're just too flowery, too wordy. And there's a bunch of other ones. And yeah, anyway, pretty weird. And they're saying, nope, nope, it's not a di. They're denying it. Some poor guy that wrote this, he's like, oh, I thought I was cooking so many crazy examples. I'll leave it at that one. But yeah, stop. Stop doing this.
Trey Kirby
I mean, that one specifically feels like it should have been used for a Thunder player. Use that for.
Tas Melas
Well, we didn't bring it up when Wemby had his rookie card sold for 5.11 million. But it was odd on the back of that one too. If women Yama couldn't dribble and had the speed of a turtle, he'd still be a high end player. It was sold for $5 million.
Jay Skeets
Can we not just put the stats on the back? What was wrong with that? It worked for like 50 years.
Tas Melas
Got to be different. Gotta call 7 foot 4 guy at turtle. I mean, I don't get it?
Trey Kirby
Pretty weird.
Jay Skeets
And one more worst of the week nominee. Whoever came up with NBA podcast row and didn't invite no dunks, you're on the shit list. What the hell is wrong with you? Got him. That has. That's. That's not shots at anybody on podcast row. I'm sure there's more room is all.
Trey Kirby
I mean, few more spots on the row.
Jay Skeets
And how can you not have this classic in attendance or game one of podcast row? All right.
Tas Melas
And you meant since you said that I for. I should give thanks to everybody who sent in stuff for the worst of the week. Griffin Antle with that weird thing in the locker room. He even noted where it was was right after the national anthem. And you see these, See these weird lockers? Is this what we're watching tonight? These guys coming out of their lockers as little guys?
Jay Skeets
ABC's graphics have been garbage for a decade. They're just so bad. I think they look silly. They look. Now I'm sure AI is incorporated somehow into these. They look even worse.
Tas Melas
I don't know.
Jay Skeets
I mean, we thought we did the short on the Wemby, even graphic and they just look crappy to me.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, we like. We like a bad on purpose graphic. We like weird looking Wemby but not like Uncanny Valley. Tony Parker.
Jay Skeets
No, no, no, that's. You're going too far. Toby Parker, as people were calling him. Oh, that's not Tony Parker. Imagine that's what ABC came out and said. Oh, that. Oh, you thought that was Tony Parker? No, no, that's a photo of Toby Marker. We just had the jacket, so we threw it on him. He's got a great smile. All right, let's have some fun here with820.comTK you explain all this?
Trey Kirby
Yeah, it's a website. It's a website. Where did it come from? Where did it go? Where did you come from? 82 and 0. Literally, I have no idea. Just showed up and every then for my. All of my feeds for the past three days, all of my group chats for the past three days are people trying to make these five person teams.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
That go 82, 0. And very quickly it turned to what other ideas can we come up with? Can you go 0 and 82? Can you go perfectly? 41 and 41. Do you play with the hoop? Hoop IQ? Some people even clicked on the stuff that tells you how to play. Not me. I was just winging it out there. I got a lot of instructions from people. I saw.
Jay Skeets
I saw people get very upset. You can switch the team.
Trey Kirby
You can switch the arrow. You can switch the positions. Yeah, you can.
Jay Skeets
That seems cheating, though.
Trey Kirby
That's what I thought, too. I'm a purist. An 82.0purist. You get your team, you pick your player. Maybe you get Bob Pettit, maybe you don't. Maybe you get Bob McAdoo. It's happened to me, okay? I even saw a website last night that had, like, the breakdown of when you should draft which position and when you should switch your position.
JD
Wow.
Trey Kirby
So if we don't go 82.0every time today, I'm never playing.
Jay Skeets
Okay, now. Now, here's the scary thing about this game. It's so. It's so much fun and so addicting that, like, you can find yourself playing it for an hour while you try and get an 82 and O team. So I think we need to set a rule. Let's try for a perfect team. Okay, but, like, five goes or something. You know what I mean? And then we can try an Owen 82 team and then like, a 41 and 41 team. Okay, but we have to have a certain amount of, like, attempts.
Trey Kirby
All right, so what you're saying is play it until we get 82.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, sure.
Trey Kirby
No, we're going to. We're going to get it on the first four.
Jay Skeets
Okay. Wow. He's calling his shot.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, first four, but we can go up to five. You want to be a classic or a hoop iq?
Jay Skeets
Well, I think we're a hoop iq.
Trey Kirby
Okay. Sounds good to me. We don't play hoop iq. Let's spin it. Let's spin it to win it.
Jay Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
Toronto in the 90s.
Tas Melas
Hey, hey. Oh, no, we don't have anybody. We're going 0 and 82.
Trey Kirby
How many albums you want?
Tas Melas
I mean, we still can get a Vince. That's the.
Trey Kirby
I mean, Vince is the best choice.
Jay Skeets
Vince has to be the best choice.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Jay Skeets
Yeah. We should have let him. We could have gone, oh, and okay,
Trey Kirby
Vince for the next one. Other Vince.
Jay Skeets
I mean, it doesn't matter. We can move him around.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
He's got good eligibility. I like that. I like a player who can swap positions. Memphis in the 2010s.
Tas Melas
Wow.
Trey Kirby
I mean, I guess Mark Gasol could be interesting. He's not a big points guy, though.
Jay Skeets
I know you want points, you don't
Trey Kirby
get a bump for, like, Marcus Saw calling out cutters on 82 in here.
Jay Skeets
Yeah. How many. How many times is your 80, 82.0 team gonna play? Joel Embiid that comes into play drafting
Tas Melas
Mercasol you going on a Rudy Gay?
Trey Kirby
I mean, Rudy Gay probably is a better 820 player than he is.
Jay Skeets
I sort of think. Football player.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Jay Skeets
I mean, we're not going 82.
JD
That's all right.
Trey Kirby
We got four more chances after this.
Tas Melas
So much Raptor hood here. Yep, yep.
Jay Skeets
Wow.
Trey Kirby
Unfortunately, all the Raptors same position.
Tas Melas
Two thousand and twenties of the Toronto.
Trey Kirby
So I guess we don't have Kawhi, Armani, Brooks. You want Brooks?
Jay Skeets
I mean, where are we going? Scotty.
Trey Kirby
Another powerful Scotty. Yeah, he's got. He's got weird eligibility, too.
Jay Skeets
What can we put him out here?
Trey Kirby
We can put him at everything. I feel like this is probably a
Jay Skeets
move to do, though. All right, here we go. We're going Scotty Barnes.
Trey Kirby
Scotty Barnes.
Jay Skeets
What's our team? We literally have Vince, Rudy Gay and Scotty Barnes. Okay.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. Geez. If we get another round. Chamberlain player here. Portland on the 2000 and twenties. Guess Lillard.
Jay Skeets
I guess
Trey Kirby
a point guard. That's good. He's better than any centers they have, I believe.
Jay Skeets
Okay, we need a really good center.
Trey Kirby
We need. We need a Wilt. We need a Kareem.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
How about Kwame Brown? How about Andre Blatch?
Jay Skeets
Yeah, do it.
Trey Kirby
We have Antoine Jameson. Nope, he's not a center.
Tas Melas
Just some Wizards center.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, there's.
Tas Melas
Can't even pick them.
Trey Kirby
Leitner.
Tas Melas
Wow.
Trey Kirby
They got. They got some brutal Sunday. Hey, let's do a little. Let's do a move here. Let's switch our team. Okay. Yeah, right.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Trey Kirby
I want this team. No, we're stumbling.
Tas Melas
Just pick a new team.
Trey Kirby
I know.
Jay Skeets
That's the part so weird to me.
Trey Kirby
Who's a good center? Oh, Sabonus. I mean, a fun center.
Jay Skeets
Oh, deadly.
Tas Melas
Blazers of the 2000s.
Trey Kirby
Germano might have the best numbers from that.
Jay Skeets
Really?
Tas Melas
Aldridge?
Trey Kirby
Yeah, I guess he may have been young Sheed. Who do you want?
Jay Skeets
Reuben Boomshe. Boomche. Rashid's gonna get tossed. 41 games.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, that's tough.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Pick a man. Who do you want here?
Jay Skeets
Oh, it doesn't matter. We're not going 82.
Trey Kirby
No, we got Jermaine. Oh, okay. I think once I click it, it'll tell us the record. Will it be over 60 wins?
Jay Skeets
No, no, I think we're just gonna be a 50, a 55 win team.
Trey Kirby
Okay, here we go.
Jay Skeets
Oh, oh, oh.
Trey Kirby
40, 34 straight up a D. I didn't know you could do that. Tough, tough stuff. Okay, that one will blame the spins on that one. Okay. Sacramento, the 2000s. You can win with Chris Weber, you can go 820 if you want.
Jay Skeets
Okay. Let's take. Let's take Webb.
Trey Kirby
I think he's good.
Jay Skeets
Okay. Power forward. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
The only time I've done 82 and I've got Chris Weber on the team, so that's why I support this.
Tas Melas
What do we hear?
Trey Kirby
Hornets, 80s. Hornets on the 80s.
Jay Skeets
Y. Kelly Tripuka. Wow.
Tas Melas
We're not winning much.
Trey Kirby
Puke.
Tas Melas
Get this team out of here.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. Get the team out of here. There's a lot of better.
Jay Skeets
You don't want Dell. You don't believe in Dell.
Trey Kirby
I don't.
Jay Skeets
He's ahead of his time.
Trey Kirby
Oh, Milwaukee in the 80s.
Tas Melas
You want Terry.
Trey Kirby
You want Terry Cummings?
Jay Skeets
No.
Trey Kirby
No. You don't want Terry Cummings?
Jay Skeets
Not really.
Trey Kirby
You want Alton Lister? Bob Lanier, I guess was probably past his prime in the 80s.
Jay Skeets
Marquis Johnson. Sure. I mean, I don't think we're.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. I mean, sure, we'll go. That's okay. That's how it is. You can't win every time.
Jay Skeets
No.
Trey Kirby
Hard to build a team. Detroit in the 2000 and tens.
Tas Melas
Interesting time.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Ben Gordon was around. Ben Wallace. Good defense.
Tas Melas
Too late. Blake. You know, see?
Jay Skeets
Okay. Defense. Does defense matter in this game?
Trey Kirby
I think it matters more for your center and your power forward. But you're. You want to be focusing on points. Yeah, yeah. Which I think is a problem when you're picking Ben Wallace.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, exactly. That's. That's why I asked. But we should do it anyway.
Trey Kirby
Ben Wallace. We're going to build a defense team. Exactly. Why not?
Jay Skeets
Come on. Defense wins championships.
Trey Kirby
We got two great spots open. Maybe we'll get Oscar Robertson and Michael Jordan. Or maybe we'll get Eric Piatkowski or Elton Brand.
Jay Skeets
No, I can't even put him in right now.
Trey Kirby
Eric Piatkowski?
Jay Skeets
Yeah, of course.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, sure. I mean, we're not going to win this one anymore. So welcome to the team. The Polish Rifle.
Jay Skeets
That's right.
Trey Kirby
And finally, Steve Nash. He's a good point guard.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Jason Kidd. He's a good point guard. Who had better numbers in the. In the 2000s?
Tas Melas
That's a good question.
Trey Kirby
Oh, Nash's best seasons.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
I think we'll go Next. Here's another 44.
Jay Skeets
We got worse. We can't stop building play in backcourt.
Trey Kirby
Geez.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Look at these guys.
Jay Skeets
This team's. This team didn't go 82.
Trey Kirby
Zero. That's crazy.
Jay Skeets
That's a 16 zero team. Okay.
Trey Kirby
That's right. Yeah. Not noted title guys. Noted playoff performer, Chris Weber. All right, here we go.
Jay Skeets
Here we Go.
Trey Kirby
This is the one. This is the one. They're saying Phoenix from the2020s. Devin Booker.
Jay Skeets
Booker. I bet you we could build a really good team. With Booker or Beal.
Trey Kirby
Beal was not good on the Suns.
Jay Skeets
Not Suns. No.
Tas Melas
Not a Crispball.
Jay Skeets
No.
Tas Melas
Thanks.
Trey Kirby
All right. Booker's our best chance.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, Booker. I think we can do it. He's a high scoring guy. That's huge.
Tas Melas
Okay. I was gonna say Durant, but I'll stay with Book. We'll stay with Book. That's fine.
Trey Kirby
It could have been good.
Jay Skeets
We could get Durant.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, he's on a lot of these teams.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
New Orleans in the 2010s.
Jay Skeets
Anthony Davis. Okay.
Tas Melas
Yeah, I think that's the one.
Jay Skeets
Or Chris Paul.
Trey Kirby
Chris Paul, 2010s. How long was he there? Because he. He went to the Clippers in 11. Is that right?
Jay Skeets
Can you confirm that this game is only pull from like the said years of that player with that team?
Trey Kirby
No.
JD
See? Yeah.
Jay Skeets
Okay. We needed to read the fine print to confirm that. No way. Never will. Not me. Okay. I mean AD Or Chris Paul. I think these are good picks. Yeah.
Tas Melas
Because it's Chris Paul, I guess.
Jay Skeets
Yeah. Chris Paul and Devin Booker went to the finals together. Man, we're building a.
Trey Kirby
That's a great point. We're building a second place team.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Detroit in the 80s.
JD
Oh, man.
Jay Skeets
We could have Dantley.
Trey Kirby
That's a points guy. Adrian Dantley will get you some points. There's a Bob McAdoo, Chuck Nevitt, Cliff Livingston. I don't think so, Tim.
Jay Skeets
Oh, we should have taken AD and then had Dumars. Dumars.
Trey Kirby
I mean, we could. I think Booker is.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, yeah. We tied ourselves with Chris Paul. Okay. Wait, Dantley, I guess.
Trey Kirby
Okay, well, we're not going to win this one.
Tas Melas
Story of many teams.
Jay Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
Lakers in the 60s. That's good. Will, he was not in the lakers in the 60s. I don't think. Was he at the end?
Jay Skeets
No. Oh, he's 70s. Oh, he's there. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
We'll take it. We're taking.
Jay Skeets
But we don't know. Well, okay.
Trey Kirby
Anyway, I'm sure he had good numbers that year. I'm just guessing. Yeah, just guessing. Brooklyn in the 2000s. Who was good on the Nets in the 2000s? I guess that was the end of Lopez. Vince Carter.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Or we can roll it. We got a team in an ERA switch here and I think we might want it.
Jay Skeets
Okay. I like giving us one role, one extra role. That's a nice role.
Trey Kirby
Okay, what do you want? Team or era? I Think we can do better than Brooklyn in the 2000s? So we're going to get a new team and hopefully it's not the Kings.
Jay Skeets
Oh, you went new team?
Trey Kirby
Yeah. Oh, Denver in the 2000s. That's mellow.
Jay Skeets
Mellow.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, sure. He can probably play power forward. Okay. What do you think this.
Jay Skeets
I think this one's over 50 wins. Yeah, I think maybe closest. I think 62. Hey.
Tas Melas
Wow.
Trey Kirby
Come on. Come on. Not bad. Okay. That's okay. Decent season for wilt. Just a 20.
Jay Skeets
I wonder if we had taken aid. Well, we got Wilton.
Trey Kirby
Well, if we would have been able to have A.D. and Will Chamberlain, who knows?
Jay Skeets
Yeah, maybe if we had AD at power forward, Will at center, Isaiah point guard. We got screwed on.
Trey Kirby
All right. This is our fourth or our fourth one?
Jay Skeets
Fourth one, isn't it?
Trey Kirby
Fourth one.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, yeah. Fourth.
Trey Kirby
Nice. Nice. This is the one then.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Like I said.
Jay Skeets
You called this? Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Denver in the 2020. That's pretty good. That's a great start.
Jay Skeets
Huge start. That's great.
Trey Kirby
You gotta. Gotta check the. The.
Tas Melas
The accents. You couldn't. You couldn't write. Yeah, conventionally.
Trey Kirby
Oklahoma city in the 70s. Interesting.
Tas Melas
Seattle exists. Give me a Lenny.
Trey Kirby
You like Lenny Wilkins?
Tas Melas
I mean, I don't know.
Jay Skeets
Dennis Johnson.
Trey Kirby
Dennis Johnson could be interesting.
Jay Skeets
Isn't bad, though.
Tas Melas
Points or.
Trey Kirby
We can roll it, man. We can roll it.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, we do have one roll. Maybe we go early with it. I don't love. I don't love either of our options here.
Trey Kirby
Who is Barry Clemens?
Tas Melas
Roger's dad.
Trey Kirby
Roger's dead. Wow.
Jay Skeets
Okay, roll it. 70s, we start. 70s.
Trey Kirby
70s. Houston, the 70s. Is that an Elvin Hayes?
Jay Skeets
Yes.
Trey Kirby
He's a. He's a big numbers guy. Yeah. You got. This is when Sporkle comes in handy as well. All these guys that show up is
Jay Skeets
always a good answer.
Trey Kirby
Philadelphia in the 2000s. That would be Iverson for sure.
Jay Skeets
I think we have to. You want to take Eric Snow for intangibles?
Trey Kirby
Yeah. I mean, I do like what he brings to the table. We're gonna put him as shooting.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, I like that.
Trey Kirby
We'll get even better point guard. Orlando in the 2010s. I mean, Dwight would be probably the
Tas Melas
guy, but did we already use our spin?
Jay Skeets
Yeah, we did. We did.
JD
We did.
Jay Skeets
We did.
Trey Kirby
Okay, so we need a Grant Hill.
Jay Skeets
You want pizza boy keto.
Tas Melas
That was peak heater.
Trey Kirby
Who else would have scored a lot?
Jay Skeets
Vince.
Trey Kirby
Was he on this?
Tas Melas
2010s. He'd have left in 2009. Did he come back for a little sip of Turkish coffee at the end I mean, he was. He was gone in 2009. I guess he did come.
Jay Skeets
He must have come back. Coffee? No, we don't want Jameer.
Trey Kirby
Jason Richardson.
Tas Melas
Oh, boy, this is.
Jay Skeets
This is tough.
Trey Kirby
No, it's our tough spot here.
Jay Skeets
This is tough.
Tas Melas
Shabazz Napier, oladipo, Old Depot, 20 tens.
Trey Kirby
He scored. He doesn't got to stay healthy.
Jay Skeets
What about Tracy McGrady?
Trey Kirby
Yeah, no, that's what we got to go.
Tas Melas
Too late.
Jay Skeets
Am I wrong?
Trey Kirby
Yeah, he would have been gone, but that would have been good. I think it's Oladipa.
Tas Melas
Okay.
Jay Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, he's our point guard.
Jay Skeets
Sure.
Trey Kirby
Classic point guard. And finally, Chicago in the 2000 and tens. Rose doesn't have AS. He won his MVP in 2010.
Jay Skeets
We can't get him there though. Oh, Oladipo can place.
Trey Kirby
No, we can't. No, no, no. Oladipo can't play small forward. Limited. Limited. I mean, Butler, I guess was Jimmy. He would be the guy. Jewel, dang. Iron Man. I think it's Jimmy.
Jay Skeets
Probably. Yeah. All right. Hey, 16.
Trey Kirby
That's pretty good. Whoa. Yokich is good.
Jay Skeets
It's our best. Okay, final crack at it.
Trey Kirby
How about this? 27 points per game. 16 boards for Elvin Hayes. Not bad. All right, here we go. 69 wins. That was a nice. That was a nice.
Jay Skeets
I was going to suggest we try
Trey Kirby
and get exactly 69 wins. This is it. This is it. Cleveland in the 80s.
Tas Melas
Not a good year.
Jay Skeets
No, but I mean, Brad Dougherty, Mark Price.
Trey Kirby
Price.
Jay Skeets
They're not great. Mark Price might be. Oh, I don't know. Are you going to win 82 Mark Price? Probably not.
Trey Kirby
But what if we switch the ERA and we get Cleveland in the 2000s?
Jay Skeets
That's the move.
Trey Kirby
But what if we switch the ERA and we get Austin Carr in the 1970s?
Jay Skeets
Hey, I think it's a gamble. We got to get LeBron.
Trey Kirby
We need the risk it for the best.
Tas Melas
We got two decades. We.
Trey Kirby
Nah, just not him. Not him.
Tas Melas
Could have been the 2000s or the 2000s.
Trey Kirby
We thinking a Coro here?
Jay Skeets
Jonathan Mitchell. Yeah, I guess a high scoring point guard.
Trey Kirby
He's a high scoring guard. You want to. You want a good point guard?
Tas Melas
You can move him to the shooting guard.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, we can.
Tas Melas
Okay.
Jay Skeets
What?
Trey Kirby
What?
Jay Skeets
We're just building the Cavs, Mobley. Hey, man, they're a good regular season team.
Trey Kirby
That's a good point.
Jay Skeets
Mobley or Harden here?
Trey Kirby
Harden. Dwayne for defense.
Jay Skeets
George the Egg. Go minivan.
Trey Kirby
You want Niang Pangos? Oh, this is a not as exciting change.
Tas Melas
The Franchise.
Jay Skeets
We've already used our thing.
Tas Melas
Oh, you only have one?
Jay Skeets
Well, we're. It's.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, we're doing it. We're trying our best here.
Jay Skeets
Okay.
Tas Melas
Yeah, try. We can't get away these Raptors. We need se.
Trey Kirby
Okay.
Jay Skeets
Better.
Trey Kirby
You're right. That's good.
Tas Melas
Something.
Jay Skeets
Yeah. We're not getting 69 wins.
Trey Kirby
Oh, we got a chance.
Tas Melas
We got a winner.
Trey Kirby
We got a chance. Now we got to take Russell for sure.
Jay Skeets
Okay. Okay. This changes things.
Trey Kirby
This changes things. That was big.
Jay Skeets
Big ones here.
Trey Kirby
That was a big boy. OKC in the 80s, man.
Tas Melas
Oh, that's not a real thing.
Trey Kirby
Not real. I guess Peyton was probably there at the. Nope.
Jay Skeets
No, he's the 90s.
Trey Kirby
Kemp. Not quite. Who else? Sigma. You want Jack Sigma.
Jay Skeets
Tom Chambers.
Trey Kirby
Nope. You can't have Jack Sigma.
Jay Skeets
Chambers.
Trey Kirby
You want Tom. Can't have him. Sorry.
Jay Skeets
Derek McCann Chambers. Why? Because he's powerful. Wow.
Trey Kirby
Oh, no love.
Jay Skeets
No wow.
Trey Kirby
No love.
Tas Melas
Can't move him.
Trey Kirby
Who else?
Jay Skeets
Who are we forgetting?
Trey Kirby
Yeah, are we forgetting David Thompson, Dennis Johnson again, Eddie Johnson? Are both decent choices, I would say.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, we're looking at a few.
Trey Kirby
Michael Phelps. I didn't know he had a basketball game.
Jay Skeets
Wow.
Trey Kirby
Mr. Sonic. Nate McMillan. Sedale 3. Cool name.
Jay Skeets
All right. I mean, pick whoever.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Jay Skeets
You don't think we're doing it?
Trey Kirby
You don't think we're doing it?
Jay Skeets
No, but Dennis Johnson's the right pick.
Trey Kirby
This is a good team. I think this is maybe our. Is our most win.
Jay Skeets
It could have mellow.
Trey Kirby
This has got to be a mellow.
Jay Skeets
Is everybody okay?
Tas Melas
Why is he not there?
Trey Kirby
Carmelo Anthony.
Tas Melas
Is there a mistake?
Trey Kirby
Did he not play in the 2000s?
Tas Melas
Oh, I guess.
Jay Skeets
I thought it was 2010. I thought it was 2010s.
Tas Melas
My bad.
Jay Skeets
Oh, we're 2000 Arrington. David Lee for Rizzo.
Trey Kirby
All right, this one's for Rizzo. David Lee at the small four.
Jay Skeets
If this team goes 82.
Trey Kirby
Zero, I think 50 wins.
Jay Skeets
Oh, yeah, we got Russell.
Trey Kirby
That's.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, 55, 63 wins.
Trey Kirby
You get. You get Bill Russell.
Jay Skeets
Do you want to take one stab at a 41 and 41 team? And.
Trey Kirby
Of course I do.
Jay Skeets
Okay. Of course we won't do maybe five,
Trey Kirby
but we're gonna take a stab at a 41 and 41 team and an oh and 82.
Jay Skeets
So here we go. We're going mid.
Trey Kirby
This is mid.
Jay Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, this is.
Tas Melas
This is easy.
Jay Skeets
Oh, what do you mean?
Tas Melas
Alize Johnson. That guy's a mid.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, but see that?
Tas Melas
That's below me. That's below me.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, that's the problem. You need a decent guy.
Jay Skeets
Ben Simmons. Is Ben Simmons too good? D'. Angelo Russell's really good. No go.
Tas Melas
D' Angelo is good at being mid.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, that's perfect. You're not gonna be that bad, but you're not gonna be that good.
Trey Kirby
Okay? Okay.
Tas Melas
One time. All Star.
Jay Skeets
Phoenix from the 90s.
Trey Kirby
Phoenix in the 90s.
Jay Skeets
Dan Marley. Maybe too good. Cedric Sabalos. Pretty good.
Trey Kirby
I like Sabala.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, really good.
Tas Melas
Mid.
Trey Kirby
I really like Sabalos.
Jay Skeets
Come on. I want blindfold dunk man.
Trey Kirby
Dallas in the 2000s.
Tas Melas
It's got to be somebody there.
Jay Skeets
Deshaun's. No.
Tas Melas
Derek Harper, either of the antlers.
Trey Kirby
Walker or Jameson.
Jay Skeets
Walker's not.
Trey Kirby
Not bad. I think Walker's probably better than Jameson.
Jay Skeets
Is he too much? Is he too much scoring? Probably not. No, not by then. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Okay.
Jay Skeets
Sure.
Trey Kirby
What we say. Antoine Walker.
Jay Skeets
Okay.
Tas Melas
Okay.
Trey Kirby
This is big. Our center and our shooting guard. Brooklyn in the 90s. There's some average teams for you.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, this is good.
Trey Kirby
But wait, Benjamin, you want Dudley?
Jay Skeets
Dudley. We're gonna miss a lot of free throws.
Trey Kirby
That's good.
Jay Skeets
Yeah. Even those guys.
Trey Kirby
Correct Collection of dudes.
Tas Melas
That's too good.
Jay Skeets
Derek Coleman might be too good. I feel like. I feel like our team's getting good.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, our team's getting good.
Jay Skeets
We're just above mid. I feel like. But I don't know.
Tas Melas
I've never tried these centers. We gotta go white. Is that the.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Got to.
Jay Skeets
Oh, Jason Williams. Shotgun. Jason Williams.
Trey Kirby
Yes. Good rebound. Pretty Back in the day. Yeah. Who do you want?
Jay Skeets
You pick.
Trey Kirby
I want Dudley.
Jay Skeets
Okay. Okay. Now we might need a slightly better shooting guard.
Trey Kirby
Boston in the 2000s.
Jay Skeets
We're Boston 2000s.
Trey Kirby
We're Boston 2000.
Jay Skeets
Recent Boston. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Current Boston, Derek White.
Jay Skeets
Pritchard.
Trey Kirby
Okay.
Jay Skeets
You know.
Trey Kirby
Okay. I like it. He's good, but he's not that good. Here we go. Here's.
Jay Skeets
Can you go through our team again?
Trey Kirby
And 41. We've got Chris Dudley at center. Antoine Walker, power forward. Cedric Sabalos, small forward, d' Angelo Russell at point guarding. This will be Peyton Pritchard at shooting guard.
Jay Skeets
This is. I think we might.
Trey Kirby
We'll be in the 40 ranges.
Jay Skeets
Too bad.
Trey Kirby
I think Dudley.
Jay Skeets
If we had gone Coleman, it maybe.
Trey Kirby
It could have been.
Jay Skeets
Maybe gets us there. All right. That's fun. I like that more.
Trey Kirby
We gotta try and go 0 and 82 this time.
Jay Skeets
Okay. Worst team.
Trey Kirby
But it's got to be players, you know, like, we can't just pick a. No offense to Alize. Johnson, is it even Right?
Tas Melas
I'm with you.
Jay Skeets
Has anybody done it?
Trey Kirby
Great question. Probably not. So. But we want to at least be under 10.
Jay Skeets
We're going to set the all time record for. For losses.
Trey Kirby
Okay.
Jay Skeets
Or like.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. I think nine wins is the full season. Seven wins is the.
Jay Skeets
Yeah. Bobcats.
JD
The.
Trey Kirby
The Catters.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Bobby Brown.
Jay Skeets
Okay. Worst team.
Tas Melas
Worst team. What are we, 2010 rockets?
Trey Kirby
2010 rockets. Yep.
Tas Melas
I think Cole Aldrich is my guy. No, he's too good for Hanoi in 82.
Trey Kirby
Cole Aldridge, he might be. He might be perfect for an O2 team.
Jay Skeets
Chuck Hayes.
Trey Kirby
Chuck Hayes does not score.
Jay Skeets
No, he doesn't score. If that's.
Trey Kirby
That's good.
Jay Skeets
That's the secret.
Trey Kirby
Okay, Chuck Hayes, you're in, buddy.
Tas Melas
Okay. You're.
Trey Kirby
You're our center for our bad team. We're rebuilding golden state in the 2000s. They were not good.
Tas Melas
We gotta have somebody good.
Jay Skeets
Here is Todd fuller. He might be 90s. Look for toddler.
Trey Kirby
Been around. Yeah.
Tas Melas
Sorry.
Trey Kirby
Sorry. Todd.
Jay Skeets
I really.
Trey Kirby
Austin Crozier. Yeah, I know. Everybody did. We were all talking about it. Not too good.
Jay Skeets
Too good. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Who else? Dean Oliver wrote the book of basketball. Basketball on paper. There's some guys.
Jay Skeets
Yeah. Yuri Wells. Okay.
Trey Kirby
That's a name I like.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, I like that.
Trey Kirby
I like Yuri.
Jay Skeets
Well.
Tas Melas
Well, nobody knows that.
Trey Kirby
No, no. You only know you couldn't pick him out of a lineup. But you know his name. Toronto in the 2000s. Who's a guy that you hated when you were watching the.
Jay Skeets
Chris Childs. But that's a little. Still there.
Trey Kirby
He's a little good.
Jay Skeets
He's there. He's there. Yeah, put him on. He sucked his talent. I hated him. But you're right. Oh, wow. He went with him.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, but that's okay. We can. We can pick some real dumpers here. Oh, Chicago in the 2000 and tens. You know, I want. Yeah, you, Scales, an interesting one here. Bear style. This is unfair. I do know all these players.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Cristiano Felicio got a gigantic contract. No reason. Oh, Denzel Valentine's good.
Jay Skeets
Stunk.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, he stinks.
Jay Skeets
He stinks.
Trey Kirby
And he took like one of the all time worst shots in Chicago Bulls history. So you're on, child. Yeah, that's good.
Tas Melas
That's good.
Trey Kirby
And finally, Boston in the 1990s. We need a power forward.
Jay Skeets
Okay.
Trey Kirby
The Lister Blister. Charles Smith played on a lot of teams. Ed Pinkney, a card I never like to get.
Jay Skeets
These are all former Raptors, basically. Oh, my God. So many of these guys played for
Tas Melas
the Raptors Eric Williams definitely did.
Trey Kirby
Larry Bird, Paul Pierce. Too good.
Jay Skeets
You almost want to see what Larry Bird could get out of this squad, you know?
Trey Kirby
Yeah, he turns him around. Tony Bati. He's too good, I think.
Tas Melas
Too good.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. He's giving you defense.
Jay Skeets
Ed, Pick me. Is a good one.
Trey Kirby
All right, Ed, we're picking you.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
It all comes down to this.
Jay Skeets
I feel like it's still like a. I don't know how many 14 win team.
Tas Melas
That's a good guess.
Trey Kirby
Oh, 21 wins. Just a bunch of losers. Can't even lose correctly.
Jay Skeets
Well, that is fun. Okay. Yeah. A very addicting game.
Trey Kirby
Very addicting game. 82. Like another 80 of them.
Jay Skeets
Dot com. I know. We got to call it.
Trey Kirby
I'll play it later.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, for sure.
Trey Kirby
All right. Good game.
Jay Skeets
Very fun.
Trey Kirby
Thanks, everybody.
Jay Skeets
All right, before we go, rapid fire fun. Because it's never all that rapid. So that's why we got to get to it. I got the questions this week. I don't need my glasses anymore. Ahead of the Knicks first appearance in the NBA Finals since 99. Star forward OG Anunoby. Gifted OG influencer Martha Stewart. A pair of autographed size 15 1/2 sneakers with the messy message let's go Nicks written on them. She's a Skechers brand ambassador as well. That's what OG Wears.
Tas Melas
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because that just slips into them, you know.
Jay Skeets
Sketchers. Stuart shared the present on Instagram, to which OG replied in the comments. You're welcome, Martha. Classic OG Response. I want to know, though, what's a surprising gift you've received?
Tas Melas
Mine is more of a surprisingly useful gift because we got a microscope given to us. It was mostly for the kids, and I just thought, okay, it's gonna be one of those things that's in a drawer. It never gets used. Then my kids got lice. It was awesome to see these things perform under the microscope.
Jay Skeets
Wow.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
When the lights are the bright.
JD
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
You could see.
Tas Melas
It was so cool. You could see the insect, and then you could also see it as an egg. Damn. It's just amazing that it came through. So I was just amazed. It was just pretty cool.
Jay Skeets
Great. Are we. Are we lice free now, though?
Tas Melas
Or maybe.
Jay Skeets
Is it always a battle?
Trey Kirby
Yeah. Share a pillow.
Jay Skeets
What do you got here, TK for
Trey Kirby
my birthday this year, when I turned 42 years old, man age, my dad sent me a Lego set. A Nike Lego.
Jay Skeets
I mean, dunk. It was awesome. Yeah.
Trey Kirby
I haven't built it yet, but it looks super cool.
Jay Skeets
Oh, you haven't been built?
Trey Kirby
Well, yeah. I mean, it appears to be quite the undertaking.
Jay Skeets
Oh, okay.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. You know, a thousand plus pieces. But I didn't. It's surprising to me because I was never expecting a Lego set.
JD
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
And B, I didn't know that there was a Nike collaboration with lego. Seems weird.
Jay Skeets
I think Lego's collabed with everybody.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Tas Melas
Is it the shoe with the ball?
Trey Kirby
Yeah, I think so.
Tas Melas
I've got that. My, my 8 year old kid also got it.
Jay Skeets
Yours is built.
Tas Melas
Well, it's actually behind me. I'm sure there's a photo where I. In my office. It's right there behind. Oh, she built it recently.
Jay Skeets
Very cool.
Trey Kirby
Nice.
Jay Skeets
JD what is a surprising gift you've received?
JD
It's funny you said lice because. Scabies. Thanks, whoever.
Trey Kirby
You got scabies.
JD
Got scabies once. Yeah. It's not fun.
Trey Kirby
Mickey Rooney. Sugar babies.
Jay Skeets
Nice.
Trey Kirby
Scabies is one of those things you learn about in health class and you're like, they named it correctly.
JD
Yeah. Oh, God.
Jay Skeets
When was this?
JD
Grease days, you know?
Jay Skeets
Oh, oh, way, way, way, way back.
JD
Yeah.
Jay Skeets
Next one here. The Rockets unveiled new uniforms yesterday that pay homage to the classic ketchup and mustard look that Houston wore during back to back NBA title runs in the 90s. For everybody on YouTube, here's a look at Kevin Durant rocking the red version. But we got that yellow piping there. So, yeah, ketchup and mustard. Yummy. Guys, what's your favorite condiment?
Tas Melas
Well, I used my favorite condiment yesterday. The story goes, my daughter didn't want her hamburger, so I got one that she handed it to me. So I said, okay, I'm eating a hamburger. I guess there's a slice of cheese on it. You know, when you get a slice of cheese on a burger, you don't. You don't peel the top bun off anymore. It's just too sticky. It's right on there. So it was awesome. I got to go to a table and I used a condiment for each bite. You know, like a little squirt of a ketchup. There was a barbecue sauce that nobody wanted. I had to unpeeled the seal. Got a little barbecue just for a quick bite.
Jay Skeets
Oh, so you were like trying.
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
Tas Melas
Then a relish comes in. And then I hadn't had relish in a long time. And then I finished it with mustard. Because mustard's the one. It's the one. Did I squirt too much mustard? Probably, but mustard's my guy. You know, I.
Jay Skeets
That's your favorite Are you a spicy mustard fan? You like all mustard?
JD
Yeah.
Tas Melas
I'm not a big Dijon person.
Jay Skeets
Okay.
Tas Melas
But ever since I remember, I don't know why this always comes to me when I think about mustard, but when Beyonce was part of Destiny's Child and she was being interviewed on Much Music, which was in our MTV in Canada, she always said, I always get that nasty mustard. She called it nasty for some reason because she has it on corn dogs and stuff. She still does it to this day. Me and Beyonce were born the same year. We both like mustard. Mustard. That's a cool stat. Not a cool stat. Not useful information for anyone on this planet. But she likes corn dogs and mustard, and I like mustard on everything, really. Mustard's just the she. It.
Jay Skeets
You're done.
Tas Melas
No, keep going, please. Barbecue sauce.
Jay Skeets
What's your favorite condiment?
Tas Melas
It's not nasty. I just. Just a generic barbecue sauce kind of nasty.
Trey Kirby
It could be upgraded for sure.
Tas Melas
Yeah, for sure. It was real generic.
Trey Kirby
Favorite condiment. Official answer. Hot sauce. Number one for me. Crystal Hot sauce is our go to. But I gotta give a big shout out to Caesar. Dressing. I think it's the goat. When you're talking dressings.
Jay Skeets
Yeah.
JD
Yeah, but we're not talking dressings.
Trey Kirby
You don't think. You don't think a dressing is a condiment? No, dressing. But I think. I think there's a square rectangle. Territory.
Tas Melas
Square rectangle.
Trey Kirby
You know, a square is a rectangle. I think a dressing is a condiment.
JD
Okay.
Tas Melas
Yeah.
JD
Okay.
Jay Skeets
Yeah. Jd, what's your favorite condiment?
JD
I mean, mine was the same as Trey's hot sauce. Frank's, though, is my. My go.
Jay Skeets
Oh, you're a Frank guy.
Tas Melas
I'm a Frank man.
JD
I put that on everything.
Jay Skeets
Not an ad.
Tas Melas
Not an ad.
Jay Skeets
Not.
JD
Come on.
Jay Skeets
On guys.
Tas Melas
Not loyal to Tabasco anymore. Yeah, like, we all were.
JD
What happened? You were there,
Jay Skeets
I was. The mics didn't work.
JD
Yeah, yeah. Tabasco, whatever. Tabasco is fine. I like Frank's better. That's my answer. It's just Frank's.
Jay Skeets
I don't know.
JD
I'm with you on mustard. I don't know.
Trey Kirby
Thank you.
JD
Lincoln this morning was like, soy sauce, my favorite condiment. I'm like, come on.
Jay Skeets
I mean, soy sauce is important. Doesn't seem like a condiment to me, either.
JD
That's what I said. It's like an ingredient, right? I don't know, but I guess you put soy sauce on.
Jay Skeets
Playing Fast and loose Sushi.
JD
You know, you add it to stuff, so I don't know.
Tas Melas
If you're in the mood for salty, you know, that's what. That's what, you know, just drink it.
JD
Yeah, yeah. But my favorite thing on. On sushi is the wasabi. You. Is that a condiment? Absolutely. Spice.
Trey Kirby
But I would say pickled ginger. Not a condiment.
Tas Melas
Wow.
Jay Skeets
I'm with you.
JD
It has kind of be a liquid or a. Like a thick, viscous.
Jay Skeets
Okay.
JD
At the very.
Tas Melas
Yeah. The wasabi you actually stir into your soy sauce. So, you know, part of the con. It can be. It can be.
JD
It can be.
Tas Melas
Pickled ginger cannot.
JD
Well, this is another thing that. This is a big debate this morning because Rachel likes ranch, but with sriracha, she mixes it up.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, that's double condiment.
JD
But I'm like, that's. You have to pick one. You can't. You can't mix it up like that. What are you, Lee Ellis Bespoke?
Jay Skeets
That's a bespoke condiment.
Trey Kirby
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
JD
So anyway.
Jay Skeets
Wow. I thought I asked that.
Trey Kirby
I'm seeing it here in the Stream team. A big shout out to chili oil. Like a little crispy, crunchy chili oil deserves a shout out. Yeah.
Jay Skeets
To me, that's a rich person's condiment.
Trey Kirby
Yeah. It's nice.
Tas Melas
It is.
Trey Kirby
We move beyond hot sauce.
Jay Skeets
Yeah, exactly, Exactly. That's next level hot sauce. Very, very good.
JD
People putting that stuff on ice cream.
Trey Kirby
I can see it being interesting. Yeah, yeah.
Jay Skeets
I'm intrigued.
JD
Vanilla ice cream.
Jay Skeets
I don't know.
Trey Kirby
People cooking eggs in it.
JD
Yeah.
Trey Kirby
Instagram content of people cooking eggs and chili.
Jay Skeets
It's good. Yeah. Final one President Donald Trump will indeed attend the Knicks Spurs Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden on Monday night.
Trey Kirby
Yay.
Jay Skeets
Besides Trumpito, who would you least want to sit next to at an NBA Finals game? Tass.
Tas Melas
My wife. Wow.
JD
Trump before your wife.
Jay Skeets
No, I said besides. Besides him.
Tas Melas
Those are the issues. The issue is she's not gonna enjoy any of the snacks that we get. She's just gonna have five popcorn kernels. She's just gonna have a tiny sip of beer and then just leave it there because it gets warm. She's gonna have five mics and Ikes and just leave the rest of the package. There's definitely Mike's and Ikes because Josh Hart loves Mike's. Nice. That's why it's not the fact that she won't really be paying attention to the game either. I mean, that's why a part of it. You know, it's like, these are. Tickets are going to be 7, $500 probably she's not going to be watching the game. So there's a lot of factors there.
Jay Skeets
Okay. Trey.
Trey Kirby
Chris Angel. Just basically any magician.
Jay Skeets
Wow.
Trey Kirby
And to me he's like, is he the number one magician still? I don't know.
Jay Skeets
I don't think so.
Trey Kirby
No.
Jay Skeets
He's fallen off.
Trey Kirby
Has he?
JD
Did he canceled for something that.
Trey Kirby
Well, that's the thing. I was gonna say. My original answer was David Blaine. I know. He's been canceled.
JD
Has he?
Trey Kirby
Yeah.
JD
I didn't know that.
Trey Kirby
And this is why you don't want to sit.
Jay Skeets
Don't worry. He can make that cancellation.
Tas Melas
Disappears. Can do it all, man.
Trey Kirby
Totally like you. Imagine sitting by these guys. You want to see a trick? No, I'm trying to watch. He's trying to make the ball disappear. No, thank you.
Jay Skeets
Chris Angel. Great answer. JD who do you not want to sit next to at the NBA Finals?
JD
I mean, I feel like I could talk to anybody.
Jay Skeets
Chris Angel.
JD
How did you do that? How did you do this? Right. Non stop questions. Anyone from the manosphere. I guess like a tape.
Jay Skeets
Okay.
JD
One of those douchebags.
Jay Skeets
Okay. Great answers, guys. My wife, Chris Angel. And date. Incredible answers. That's rapid fire. Somewhat rapid. Dare I say this week, not too bad. That was not bad. We had a nice little pace to it. JD did not have to start the music over again, so that's always a good sign. We will call it there. Friday night hoops, though. Game 2 of the NBA Finals. This is weird. And I was like, why does this feel weird? What is going on with the NBA final schedule? I guess it's World cup related because usually we're a Thursday, Sunday, games one and two and then we're off and running. Yeah, I had the Wednesday and the Friday and then we're back on Monday. So I think it is World cup related as we get going on here. Hopefully in the Finals. World cup starts, what, on Thursday? Yeah, a week from yesterday. So that's our reason. Who cares? Friday night hoops. Excited. Hopefully we get a very entertaining game too. And as I said off the top of the show, we will be here to recap and break down game two of the NBA Finals tonight at 9:00am Eastern. So join us here in the Classic Factory and make sure you like and subscribe. So you know we're going live and all that good stuff. And yeah, share your thoughts on the game. Hit us up on Social. I can't wait to see you guys tomorrow morning. A little earlier than normal. As I said, 9:00am Eastern. All right, until then, Clipper Bros. You
Tas Melas
heard it here first.
Trey Kirby
Have a great time. Turn up. Love you guys. Awesome.
Tas Melas
Thanks for joining us. And remember, Criss angel made that H disappear from his name. Replaced it with an S. Wow. That's what I always think of Criss Angel.
Jay Skeets

Spurs are in a true “must-win” spot:
Only five teams have ever come back from 0-2 in NBA Finals history, none of which have started down 0-2 at home (22:18).
Objective: Draft a starting five from random team/era combos to achieve a theoretical 82-0, 41-41, or 0-82 season.
Banter on strategy, math, luck, and obsession with the game’s quirks (“An 82-0 purist… I was just winging it out there.” — Trey, 44:02).
