Welcome back to the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. I'm your host, Amanda Hirsch, and I still can't believe I get to chat with some of my favorite stars from my very own podcast, where you'll feel like you're just talking shit with your best friends in your living room. Hey, guys. Welcome to another episode of Not Skinny Bana Fat. Happy Tuesday. If you're listening right when it comes out. I can't believe I. I can't believe we're in December. Like, what is happening? Where has this year gone? I'm just accepting. I'm like, okay, September, okay, November, okay, where are we? What is life? If you overthink it, you'll just be anxious. So don't like me. Ignore it all. Some exciting news. As of last week, Selena Gomez is engaged. I'm so happy for her. I feel like I haven't been happy for someone in a long time. Like that. It's like when Justin Bieber and Haley Bieber had a baby, right? It's like cool and exciting. Or like when they announced a pregnancy. But it's like, yeah, we know that they're married. We know that they're, you know, trying, you know, we know that we knew that they wanted to have a family. So it's like, oh, cool, they did it. That's great. Like, so happy for them now. It's still shocking to me, like, when I'm like, reminder, Haley Bieber has a baby. Justin Bieber has a baby. But with this engagement, it's like they've been dating for a year. We know they're super in love, but like, it's not like an expected get engaged tomorrow type of thing. But I love that their story was this. I love that it's like people felt like it was unconventional because he's not your typical, you know, hot Hollywood guy. I love that he's Jewish, as you know. I love that he adores her. I love that he cooks for her. I love that it seems like he makes her so happy. It seems like a non toxic, super healthy relationship where the guy worships the girl and she loves him back, but he probably loves her a little bit more. Like, love that. To me, that's what it should be. So I'm so happy for her. It did look like he proposed to her on some sort of like, set. It's probably like an inside thing, you know, it was like this picnic. It looked like on a set there was some Taco Bell, which we love. She then posted a clip of herself calling someone and, like, literally just being so excited about the ring, which I feel like is so sweet. Like, this woman is a billionaire, and here she is getting so excited over a diamond ring she could probably buy for funsies, you know what I mean? For shits and giggles. Like, I just freaking love it. I just think it's so special. I'm so happy for her. I think she's been dressing so cute lately. Like, whatever she's doing is working. Just super happy for Selena. The other breaking news last week was James Kennedy arrested for. For domestic violence. This was after the Kathy Hilton Christmas party. The thing is, people are like, want me to say something about it? I don't know. Like, Kristen Doty was like, finally. Which is like, okay, Kristen, we know James can get a little rowdy. Nick Vial, which I'll never say his last name right. Vial. Vial said that he saw him at the Christmas party. At first he was like, nice. Introduced Nick and Nick's wife to, like, his friend. Then he saw him, like, screaming at his friend. But then this domestic violence dispute. The police responded to a Burbank residence. Don't forget Burbank. Don't forget planes flying up above around 11:30pm Regarding an argument between a man and a woman. That's all we know. It was determined that it was a domestic incident, and that's all we know. He was then released after posting a $20,000 bond. The thing is, we don't know. So we don't know now what went down. Would love to know. I'm sure we'll get more info as we go on. Of course, if you know, it sounds like it probably is Ali Weber. I hope that she's okay. I hope that if he did something effed like that, that she ends it with him. She seems like such a. Such a lovely, lovely gal. She's coming out with a podcast, I think, as well. Like an astrology pod. Anyway, you guys, into today's episode. Onto today's episode. I'm so excited because it is. My friend, is an actress. It is just the loveliest woman alive. Like, how are you so hot and nice and kind and cool and funny? It's really unfair. It's Claire Holt. You might know her from the Vampire Diaries, the originals. She's just the best. And she's finally back. She's in person. The last time we did this pod was a few years ago over Zoom, and we've been wanting to do another one, and especially in person. It was so fun. It was after she ran the marathon because She's a freaking beast. She ran it in, like, one minute. Something crazy. Very unrelatable. Right. But she just makes it relatable because she's so freaking cool. Anyway, here's my episode with the lovely Claire Halt. Blair Holtz.
Claire Holt
Hey.
Amanda Hirsch
You're so cute.
Claire Holt
Hi.
Amanda Hirsch
Do you know you're on in 2021?
Claire Holt
Yeah, I know. I've thought about it a lot.
Amanda Hirsch
You know what the title was?
Claire Holt
What?
Amanda Hirsch
Hot and Humble.
Claire Holt
Oh, that's so nice.
Amanda Hirsch
Hot and Humble.
Claire Holt
I am so embarrassed.
Amanda Hirsch
Why?
Claire Holt
Because I feel like I was, like, trying to be some parenting expert or.
Amanda Hirsch
Something, and we did heavy parenting.
Claire Holt
I've learned a lot since then. About. I did these things where I was like, do you want to give. Do you want to leave in two minutes or three minutes from the park? And now I'm like, get in the car.
Amanda Hirsch
Wait, you were saying that to me? You were giving me advice?
Claire Holt
I think I was giving you advice or something. Horrified.
Amanda Hirsch
So what do we do now at the park? Noah won't leave. No, honestly, I don't know what to do.
Claire Holt
Get in the car.
Amanda Hirsch
And they listen, though, your little kids who, like, speak poetry. Don't even pretend, Claire. If you guys don't follow Claire Holt on Instagram and see her just the.
Claire Holt
Cutest kids, like, pretty, yummy.
Amanda Hirsch
And then when you post, you know the things they say. Shakespearean.
Claire Holt
I mean, I don't know if they. Shakespearean.
Amanda Hirsch
What is the thing James said? What did he say that day? What it was like to his brother? Like, you're the light of my life. Oh, the son of mine. So bright together.
Claire Holt
Where did that come from?
Amanda Hirsch
Is that in a book?
Claire Holt
Okay, maybe a TV show or something. I don't want to, like, take credit for that. I do read stories to him, but they're like, the book with no words and good night construction site. It's not. I'm not reading him Shakespeare. Right. Probably from the iPad, which is worse.
Amanda Hirsch
We will shine so bright together.
Claire Holt
He's obsessed with his.
Amanda Hirsch
That is not happening in the Spider Man Killer. Like, I don't know what Noah's watching.
Claire Holt
Yeah, same. It doesn't come from me. I don't say that.
Amanda Hirsch
And what did she say?
Claire Holt
Oh, she's doing a grateful list. That is something that we do do.
Amanda Hirsch
But it was.
Claire Holt
Yeah, I know what's a great.
Amanda Hirsch
Every day.
Claire Holt
She's a mafia boss. Like, I don't want people to think that that happens all the time. She scares me.
Amanda Hirsch
I know. You used to say that. She was your joke. Used to be that she, like, isn't into you.
Claire Holt
She's into me now.
Amanda Hirsch
I said that.
Claire Holt
I mean, part of the reason I have these hideous nails is so she likes me. Oh, I know.
Amanda Hirsch
But when she wasn't into you and she was into it more. Into your husband. Yeah.
Claire Holt
That was. You know, it was hard for me.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. So what was it like, though? Was she like, I just want dad?
Claire Holt
Yeah. I couldn't do anything with her. Had to be her father.
Amanda Hirsch
Stop.
Claire Holt
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Well, what do you do with that?
Claire Holt
Cry in a corner and just. Okay. No, I. It's a phase, you know?
Amanda Hirsch
Everything's a phase.
Claire Holt
That's what I've learned. Everything's a phase. You think you know what you're doing and you don't know what you're doing. You have to change. You say you go full gentle parenting, and then you turn around and you're like a drill sergeant.
Amanda Hirsch
Gentle parenting is so dumb. And I can't believe I was influenced to do it by my sister.
Claire Holt
Yeah. Or.
Amanda Hirsch
I think I'm inherently Would have been like that. I thought. My mom always says, I thought you would be so much tougher. Like, I'm always trying to be someone.
Claire Holt
Who would be tough.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah, I'm not. I'm not. That's what. That's what my husband says. He's like, you're the tough one between both of us, and you're not even tough. Like that's a problem.
Claire Holt
Not too late to change. You could do a hard pivot.
Amanda Hirsch
You think?
Claire Holt
Yeah, I do sometimes.
Amanda Hirsch
Well, I just want to tell people that Claire made me have another baby.
Claire Holt
I did?
Amanda Hirsch
You did. You kept on being, like, aggressively, told.
Claire Holt
You to have another baby tonight.
Amanda Hirsch
You really did.
Claire Holt
But aren't you glad?
Amanda Hirsch
Of course I'm glad. But you can't make me do a third baby.
Claire Holt
You know it.
Amanda Hirsch
You can't make me have a third.
Claire Holt
Yeah, I can.
Amanda Hirsch
No, you can't. She's already trying, by the way.
Claire Holt
You guys is like, bliss. He's the best baby. He's so chill. He's so sweet. He just fits right in, you know, He's. It's the best.
Amanda Hirsch
Stop. You're obsessed with him.
Claire Holt
Obsessed.
Amanda Hirsch
He's so cute for.
Claire Holt
He's going to be one next weekend.
Amanda Hirsch
That's wild. I saw that. He's also a hot baby.
Claire Holt
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
He has like a. Like a. Like a manly face.
Claire Holt
He's just like a. He does feel like an old man, really. So.
Amanda Hirsch
He's so yummy, and everyone got along right away. Stop.
Claire Holt
Well, James was always obsessed with him. Elle was like, well, you know, we'll see.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
See how you go. And now she's into him. Not as much as James, but they all, like, you know.
Amanda Hirsch
But three is still harder. Like, people say when you have three, it might as well be seven. Getting in the car, like, getting on the. What?
Claire Holt
I. Well, yeah, that's hard.
Amanda Hirsch
And you're outnumbered.
Claire Holt
There's a lot of bags.
Amanda Hirsch
And you're outnumbered.
Claire Holt
You're outnumbered. It's harder on your relationship. There's just more.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
And you have to, like, divide and conquer. One has two, one has one. Or you, like, it's. It's harder. And to have three, like, on your own at any point feels a lot.
Amanda Hirsch
More than have you been with all three by yourself.
Claire Holt
Yeah. For like, a day at a time. It's not. I haven't done it for a week.
Amanda Hirsch
I know.
Claire Holt
I'm not sure I'd survived that.
Amanda Hirsch
It is pretty cray cray.
Claire Holt
So embarrassing to say that I could.
Amanda Hirsch
I know. Like, my mom did it her whole life.
Claire Holt
How did they do it? How did they do it?
Amanda Hirsch
And now I'm, like, gone for a day. I, like, make sure, like, someone's with Lenny so your own can be just with. No. And I'm like, what is this?
Claire Holt
I know.
Amanda Hirsch
Fucking shit. Like, my mom was with the three of us.
Claire Holt
But do you also, like, I remember as kids, we were always getting hurt because we were.
Amanda Hirsch
No one was paying attention to us. I mean, yeah, we were doing wild things. Like, my little sister is like, you used to pick me up from daycare.
Claire Holt
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
And I'm like, when I was five, wild, like. Like, just. It's not okay. I'm like, wait, you were two, I was five. I was picking you up. They released you to me. I'm not kidding. This was the ages. So I think that the way it worked was, like, it was less, like.
Claire Holt
Yeah. It wasn't as. Well, I'm sure it was as stressful, but, like, I think everyone was just more chill. Like, we would go out in the morning and, like, play in random, like, forests.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
Come home. No phone.
Amanda Hirsch
No phone.
Claire Holt
They had no idea where we were.
Amanda Hirsch
No idea.
Claire Holt
Could die in. In a pond, in a forest.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
They wouldn't know, right? How chill. I'd love to be that chill.
Amanda Hirsch
So chill. I don't have it in me anyway. But you're not debating a fourth baby anymore.
Claire Holt
I am a little bit.
Amanda Hirsch
Stop. Clear. Stop. For realsies.
Claire Holt
No. Every week. I go back and forth. Most of the time. I mean, he would do it. He loves being a dad. He's an excellent dad, most of the time I'm a hard pass. And then they'll get me and there'll be, like, one day where I'm weak and I just can't have this be my last day.
Amanda Hirsch
You're not even saying no. You're not even saying for sure. No.
Claire Holt
I'm like, 98%. No.
Amanda Hirsch
Ugh. The 2% is going to get you. You're going to post a poll. I mean, the fourth will win.
Claire Holt
I'm going to get bored because I'm not marathon training. I'm like, oh, I guess got to have another baby.
Amanda Hirsch
No, I can't be your pregnancies. You don't like or remind me. What? The pregnancies are hard for you. In what way?
Claire Holt
I was really sick this last time for the first trimet. Actually, for the whole time I was sick. And then it's so uncomfortable. Painful. This time I had gestational hypertension, so I was delivered early. It was just, like, a much tougher experience. I was older, too, so I'm sure that.
Amanda Hirsch
How old are you now?
Claire Holt
36. Yeah, but if I older now. No, I was older than.
Amanda Hirsch
I didn't remember. We were the same exact age.
Claire Holt
Yeah, we are.
Amanda Hirsch
When's your birthday?
Claire Holt
June 11th. We're Geminis.
Amanda Hirsch
What do you know? You're moon and rising.
Claire Holt
No.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay, do it.
Claire Holt
I got so into it, I think I'm in somewhere. It's like on one of those apps, but I don't remember it.
Amanda Hirsch
I wonder what it is.
Claire Holt
Would it be Leo?
Amanda Hirsch
Really?
Claire Holt
I don't know.
Amanda Hirsch
A Leo rising or Leo Moon?
Claire Holt
That's no idea.
Amanda Hirsch
Could have made you guys. I'm really into it. Ima. Sag. Sag, sag. Sorry, guys. Sag moon. No. Yeah, sag. I'm a cancer rising and sag moon, which I don't. Cancer is, like, the maternal, apparently side of me, and the sag, apparently, is the, like, gregarious, outgoing side of me. I thought that I was giving way too much credit to Gemini's thinking. Yeah, that's what I. Geminis are just, like, amazing.
Claire Holt
So fun life at the party.
Amanda Hirsch
So apparently it's not. It's like a bunch of other stuff, but. Oh, my God. All my favorite people are literal Geminis.
Claire Holt
The same. All of them wild.
Amanda Hirsch
I should start really, like, before meeting people, just, like, being like, are you. You're not Gemini.
Claire Holt
Someone, like, pitches to come on the podcast. Sorry, what's your star sign? Literally, I don't remember.
Amanda Hirsch
June 11th. So we're really the same, Claire.
Claire Holt
We're so close. It's Because I don't do a whole birthday month like you do.
Amanda Hirsch
I do a birthday month. I'm so low key. By the way, I want to know how you feel about this. My sister's birthday is coming up for my birthday. My family. Okay, so my mom's so funny. She comes over one day. I show her that this brand wants to send me, like, my kids names. Like when? After Lonnie was born. It's a really gorgeous necklace. No one does that, you guys. No one puts their kids names. Anyway, I thought it was so cute. I showed my mom. It's with, like, diamond. She's like, starts cracking up. I'm like, what's so funny? What's so funny? She's like, nothing. I'm like, what is happening? I get it out of her that my sisters were planning to buy me that for my birthday, but now with diamonds. Goodbye. So I was like, have them cancel it now. With diamonds. I'm getting this, like, so cute. No, they didn't end up buying me a birthday gift.
Claire Holt
Oh.
Amanda Hirsch
Because this was not an option. So now another sister's birthday is coming up. My younger sister was an angel, as you know. Comes to me and is like an angel. Such an angel. And everyone in my family loves you. Like I tell you on today, like, having Claire Honeys. Like, I love Claire Hall.
Claire Holt
I follow them all. I'm obsessed.
Amanda Hirsch
She's so cute.
Claire Holt
I saw your older sister in the park once with the twins, and I wanted to say something, but she looked busy. Last time I ran the marathon, she was in the park.
Amanda Hirsch
Which park?
Claire Holt
Same. I don't know.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, like Central Park.
Claire Holt
She was in New York.
Amanda Hirsch
Central park, maybe.
Claire Holt
Yeah. And she. But she had the twins and it felt like.
Amanda Hirsch
How did you tell me?
Claire Holt
I think I did. I think maybe you were coming to meet me and then you didn't come.
Amanda Hirsch
Right. It was that day. So it was for sure Central Park. Because you probably weren't all the way on the east side.
Claire Holt
No.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, that's so funny.
Claire Holt
Anyway, I love them all.
Amanda Hirsch
I know you're the cutest.
Claire Holt
Love them.
Amanda Hirsch
But I was saying, oh, so her birthday's coming up. My little sister is like, what are we getting Alison? I was like, you think I'm getting her again? You guys didn't get me a gift.
Claire Holt
No, I'm not.
Amanda Hirsch
You feel about that?
Claire Holt
I'm not really into gifts for older people, you know? Like, I feel like the gifts need to stop at 10. No. Okay.
Amanda Hirsch
Unless it's from, like, your husband, though.
Claire Holt
Husband, obviously. All the time.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
I Won't get him one, but he has to get them for me. Yeah, Especially, like, Valentine's Day, those things.
Amanda Hirsch
Is he good at birthday gifts?
Claire Holt
He's good.
Amanda Hirsch
He's good.
Claire Holt
He's. I do, like, drop hints, though.
Amanda Hirsch
Like jewelry. Yeah, yeah. It's all jewelry. That's the thing with guys. It's like, once they can, like, buy you jewelry, then that's just. Every birthday will be happy. It's a diamond saying no.
Claire Holt
Yeah, I'm not saying no.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, it's all that, but. Yeah. You don't buy him gifts either. I don't buy mine gifts either.
Claire Holt
Sometimes I do sentimental stuff. I'm like that. Which is so much More albums, to be honest. Yeah. Like, little books and. And like. And, yeah, it's a lot more work. I wish I bought jewelry.
Amanda Hirsch
And he loves it.
Claire Holt
He loves it. He loves it.
Amanda Hirsch
He's very set. Like, he's really. I can't tell about him if he's like a jelly, like, possessive.
Claire Holt
Not.
Amanda Hirsch
He's totally not.
Claire Holt
No. He could do with being a bit more jealous, to be honest.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, if you were, like, running with Zach in the marathon, he'd be like, oh, that's.
Claire Holt
Wow, that's nice. What a nice pacer.
Amanda Hirsch
So he doesn't get jelly at all?
Claire Holt
No. And it's so, like, it's really sweet, honestly, to. To be with someone that's that confident in themselves. They, like. They don't. He's really sensitive. Like, he's so soft. He'll cry in movies. He's going to be mad at me for saying that.
Amanda Hirsch
He cries in movies? Yeah, he cried.
Claire Holt
Crazy rich agents.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, that's a specific one.
Claire Holt
I don't know. He always cries in that.
Amanda Hirsch
Yaron cries in voice competitions. I get that, though, because today he was like, literally. This is so morbid. But we're drinking our coffee in the morning, and he's like, my grandma's still alive. That's crazy. She's 95. And I was like, that is crazy. Will you cry if she dies? And he was like, I don't think so. And I was like, what, you animal? You cry at singing competitions? So he was like, I don't know. It's just like, she's very old. I don't see her that much. I don't think I'll cry about that. And I was like, you literally cry at strangers singing like, yeah, it's like True Colors. Like, I don't understand True Colors. Favorite song. You know that song? That's his favorite.
Claire Holt
Oh, my God, he's so Cute.
Amanda Hirsch
I need to know how. Also, I told you about my husband. That Halloween costume.
Claire Holt
Yeah. Yep.
Amanda Hirsch
Was so good. The Incredibles really went for it.
Claire Holt
But I hate Halloween. I cannot stand it.
Amanda Hirsch
Hate it.
Claire Holt
I don't want to trick or treat. I don't want to hand candy out to kids or brats.
Amanda Hirsch
I don't want to deal. I actually rather hand it out than go door to door. Also, I want to say the door to door is you're in Florida now in this season. Never know where she is. In New York, no one opens the door anymore, so they just put the candy outside. But that ruins the whole. The whole house is like, not trick or treat right now.
Claire Holt
It's like, I put it outside. Just outside.
Amanda Hirsch
You didn't open the door?
Claire Holt
I manned it outside for a little while. Actually, James did. It was very funny. He was so strict. So take one. And then he started to get bored that it wasn't going fast enough. So he was like, take one of each. Take. It's very cute.
Amanda Hirsch
But do they open the door in Florida?
Claire Holt
No, I don't think so. I think everyone's outside.
Amanda Hirsch
That sucks.
Claire Holt
It's a. It's a bit of a security risk, don't you think? Just randomly opening the door to, like, thousands of masked people.
Amanda Hirsch
Maybe.
Claire Holt
I don't know.
Amanda Hirsch
I think people do that because we're just not social anymore.
Claire Holt
Maybe.
Amanda Hirsch
So you went as a whole family.
Claire Holt
To trick or treat the whole family. Ford, put the little mask on. I couldn't believe it.
Amanda Hirsch
So who wanted the Incredibles? James.
Claire Holt
James. Well, we had, like, a little dialogue about Incredibles Ninja Turtles, but then there weren't enough Ninja Turtles, so we couldn't do that.
Amanda Hirsch
Noah was supposed to be a Ninja Turtle rap, and he didn't. But why did he end up buying Lenny one, too? Like, for the photo? We didn't get the photo, but he.
Claire Holt
Refused to do the photo.
Amanda Hirsch
Used to put it on.
Claire Holt
That's why gentle parenting's failed you.
Amanda Hirsch
Right? I know, but the fucking thing on. So I want to say sometimes. And then I'm like, okay, don't put it on.
Claire Holt
Wow.
Amanda Hirsch
You know, not like that, but, like.
Claire Holt
Does he get in trouble? You don't get.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. I tried to, like, put him on timeout the other day and close the door, and he came out running and was like, that was so fun. Let's do it again.
Claire Holt
Stop.
Amanda Hirsch
And I'm like, wow.
Claire Holt
Oh, no. My kids are scared of the timeout.
Amanda Hirsch
Stop.
Claire Holt
And I know you're not. There's so many experts out there, and it really Drives me nuts because I don't know which way I'm supposed to go. And I'm probably causing irreparable harm by, like, doing these things, but I'm just like, your iPad's gone for a week. I'll take it away for a week.
Amanda Hirsch
And they're like, have you ever done that, though? Okay. So they know the consequences are a.
Claire Holt
Little more strict than me with the follow through.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, so he's followed through before.
Claire Holt
He is like, the master of follow through. And I. It works.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow.
Claire Holt
That's the thing. I. He. Look at me giving bloody parenting advice again.
Amanda Hirsch
No. First of all, the reels, like, this is better than reels. Because with reels, like, anyone can just put out anything. It's wild. My mom will be like, well, have. Do you see what I say? You. I'm like, in the random reel.
Claire Holt
I know.
Amanda Hirsch
How am I supposed to just.
Claire Holt
Do you watch every real?
Amanda Hirsch
Your mom said not done. And none that my husband sends me neither. I open. I'll be like, oh, new study messages. Nope, nope. I know that they're reals. I don't care about.
Claire Holt
Even though you send them to reels, like, funny ones.
Amanda Hirsch
No, I'll just send something if it's like, so on point. Like, I sent my husband. He cracked up for a day. I'm like, this is why I send you stuff. Open it. Because I sent him, like, there was like, this real, like, this guy, like, just like it was making fun of it. I'm sure your kids sit at the table and eat.
Claire Holt
They sit at a little table.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah, of course they do. So there was this reel for parents that can keep it together of kids that, like, you're feeding them while they're, like, jumping off the walls or, like.
Claire Holt
Sliding on the floor.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah, that's good. That one was funny. I can't believe you saw that.
Claire Holt
Yeah, of course.
Amanda Hirsch

Claire Holt
Okay.
Amanda Hirsch
You're basically. What's that guy with one ball? Lance Armstrong. No. Are you not? Wait, is. Is she not. You are Guy with one ball.
Claire Holt
Well. Well, yeah, I am. Basically. No, I. I'm retired.
Amanda Hirsch
24345.
Claire Holt
3:42 yesterday.
Amanda Hirsch
Which, by the way, Neve Shulman.
Claire Holt
He's amazing though.
Amanda Hirsch
He got four, though, babe.
Claire Holt
Yeah, but he broke his neck.
Amanda Hirsch
Who cares? It's funny because my sister came to me and was like, Nev Shalman. Like it was four and I was like 3:45.
Claire Holt
A broken neck three months ago. So he. That's really like a.
Amanda Hirsch
Like he would have done.
Claire Holt
He would have done. He's very fast. But I did a good time for me. I was pretty happy with it.
Amanda Hirsch
342, 342 faster.
Claire Holt
Than I ran the last one three weeks ago.
Amanda Hirsch
You were so upset about the last one.
Claire Holt
The one or the one in New York two years ago? I was very upset about. It was.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, so your redemption was New York two years ago?
Claire Holt
Yes. So the one in Chicago I was very happy with. And it was a slower time, but I almost felt better because I'd had another kid and I just didn't.
Amanda Hirsch
Eleven months later?
Claire Holt
Almost. Almost a year. But, yeah, I didn't think I could do it, though. I really was, like, so full of doubt the entire summer. I was like, why am I doing this? This is a disaster. And then I did it, and it felt really good. This one. I wanted to have fun, and then I got a bit competitive, and I also got to run 20 miles with the icon Jennifer Connelly.
Amanda Hirsch
And she's really the coolest. How old is she?
Claire Holt
I think she said she's about to be 54. First marathon absolutely smashed it. She was running so fast.
Amanda Hirsch
What was her time?
Claire Holt
She ran 3. 45.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow.
Claire Holt
Amazing. For her first marathon. That's crazy.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. It's your third then.
Claire Holt
My third, yeah, my third. I'm retired.
Amanda Hirsch
So what does it mean, one, you won Chicago or no? What?
Claire Holt
No, I didn't win.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. There was a headline that said that.
Claire Holt
Someone broke the world record 2 hours and 9 minutes. Certainly didn't win that.
Amanda Hirsch
Dude. Are there people that are winning it?
Claire Holt
Yes.
Amanda Hirsch
Like the winner. There's one winner.
Claire Holt
The winner woman. I think she ran two hours and nine minutes. She was the first woman to run under 210. Crazy fast. Do you know how fast that is?
Amanda Hirsch
Can you walk it?
Claire Holt
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Are there people that walk?
Claire Holt
People walk it. It's a long way to walk, though.
Amanda Hirsch
How so? How many hours would it be walking?
Claire Holt
I don't know. Like, six or seven, probably.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow.
Claire Holt
Too long to walk.
Amanda Hirsch
Who was tracking you?
Claire Holt
You mean, like, were people following me on the call?
Amanda Hirsch
You can. No can.
Claire Holt
Anyone can track. You can put the night, the bib and name in it, and anyone can see how you go.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah, I'll know that for next time.
Claire Holt
I'm never running again. But that.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah, you're never running again.
Claire Holt
I'm saying that now. No. You know, I was so inspired by the guides yesterday, the people guiding the blind runners. And so I thought, oh, maybe. Maybe that would be what I would do next.
Amanda Hirsch
You would guide the blind?
Claire Holt
Love to do that.
Amanda Hirsch
We deal with this woman. She would guide the blind.
Claire Holt
I don't know what to do was doing yesterday. Oh, it's amazing, but it's so when.
Amanda Hirsch
You'Re running, trying to make it dirty. Like, that's why she wants to do it.
Claire Holt
It's true. No, he's so amazing.
Amanda Hirsch
But you.
Claire Holt
They come up, right? So you're running this race, and then there's someone in front going, blind runner, blind runner, please move, Please move. And then there's a blind runner, which is so amazing in and of itself. And then there's somewhere else, like, attached to them with the. And they're just running the whole thing together.
Amanda Hirsch
How did you get into this?
Claire Holt
I was really, to be honest with you, I'd had kids. I had made this commitment after I had kids that I wanted to be with them. Right. And so I wasn't traveling so much with work. I wasn't having that, like, stimulation from my career in the same way that I was before kids. And I felt like a loser.
Amanda Hirsch
I did.
Claire Holt
I was. I was just like, I'm doing nothing. I'm offering nothing. I'm not achieving anything. And so I just started to run. And then I was like, you know, I'm going to sign up for a marathon that's going to be, like, my goal.
Amanda Hirsch
Because this was before Ford or after.
Claire Holt
This was before Ford. The first one.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Claire Holt
And so I signed up for the New York Marathon. I ran it and had, like, a pretty shitty experience. It was really rough. And then I swore I would never do another one. And then I had Ford, and I had the same kind of feeling. I was like, I need to do something. I need to have a goal. I'm. I, like, feel kind of lost. And so I signed up to run with Boston Children's Hospital in Chicago.
Amanda Hirsch
How did that come about? Did you.
Claire Holt
So I. I had run for them in 2022. I am very, like, it's the most amazing hospital. One of my neighbors, they had a child with a really severe heart condition when he was born. And he had five open heart surgeries in the first year of his life. And Boston Children's Hospital saved his life. He's this amazing little boy. I love him so much. And so I became connected to the hospital and ran the first one for them and have learned so much more since then and realized, like, there's a massive crisis in childhood mental health. And it's not really talked about as much because it's a scary thing to talk about, like childhood suicide. Like, could you even imagine?
Amanda Hirsch
No.
Claire Holt
And so I wanted to raise money for that division specifically. And so that was Chicago. And then the opportunity came up to run New York. And I was never gonna not do Chicago. Cause I'd made that commitment and then I was like, oh, damn, I'll just do both, I guess, like, see if I can get it.
Amanda Hirsch
You raised how much?
Claire Holt
I raised $136,000 this time for the mental health division, which is awesome.
Amanda Hirsch
And you did like a Maybelline thing.
Claire Holt
Yeah, I did.
Amanda Hirsch
Just as important. No, I'm just kidding. Like, and you did.
Claire Holt
I did this one with maybe it was. They were amazing too. Like, it was just really an awesome experience to like, have something set a goal.
Amanda Hirsch
Do they, like, sponsor you?
Claire Holt
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, it's like you're basically like Nadal of yeah, I am Marathon.
Claire Holt
That's what I've been telling myself. I'm the Nadal of Claire Halt.
Amanda Hirsch
You are hard on yourself as a person. I like, yeah. I've known you for a few years now and like, I just feel like that's yourself. If you follow her and you know, like, you're self deprecating stuff. Like, it's so funny, but it's also.
Claire Holt
No, it's real.
Amanda Hirsch
No one can imagine it's like, real because you're gorgeous.
Claire Holt
Thank you.
Amanda Hirsch
Seemingly perfect family.
Claire Holt
I feel like, so uncomfortable hearing this. That's.
Amanda Hirsch
Deal with it.
Claire Holt
Okay.
Amanda Hirsch
But you are hard on yourself.
Claire Holt
I am.
Amanda Hirsch
Why?
Claire Holt
I don't know. I don't know if it's like a product of growing up in Australia and they have that tall poppy syndrome where, like, you know, and if. If you are too much or you're. You want to be successful or whatever it is, you know, it's. It's kind of like frowned upon. I love Australians. I love.
Amanda Hirsch
They're like, they just.
Claire Holt
They respect humility. Like, they really want people to be humble. And like, being seemingly like a bigger, better deal or having or feeling great about yourself is not always, like, seen as a good thing. That's what I love about America. Americans are like, yes. They're so proud of themselves. They're like so into other people achieving stuff. It's really cool.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. Why?
Claire Holt
I never left, but yeah, I just. I always think I'm a bit of a loser.
Amanda Hirsch
I can't believe you would ever think that.
Claire Holt
Thanks.
Amanda Hirsch
But why was it when you stopped doing acting stuff A little bit? I think you complete, like, are you doing auditions? So, like, what's going on?
Claire Holt
Few. Like, the problem is I don't have a husband who can, like, just pack up and leave and go to, like, Croatia with me for four months. And I would never want to be away from my kids for that long. And I wouldn't ask him to if I took them. Right. So it's kind of like I'm. I feel pretty limited in what I would be like.
Amanda Hirsch
You would have to be like. Your agent would send you something, you'd have to be like, but does it shoot in la? Like, you would have to make sure where it shoots exactly like it.
Claire Holt
It. And nothing shoots in Florida. I mean, I live in nothing. I live Miami.
Amanda Hirsch
But you love Florida.
Claire Holt
Love it. I never thought I would say that. Truly.
Amanda Hirsch
And your whole life, like, are you there more than in la?
Claire Holt
Yeah, the school year. I'm there.
Amanda Hirsch
The whole school year you're there?
Claire Holt
Yeah, like nine months.
Amanda Hirsch
And you love Florida?
Claire Holt
Love it.
Amanda Hirsch
Where were you in the hurricane?
Claire Holt
We were there, but it didn't, like, get. We had a tropical storm. We didn't get the full moon.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, the Miami didn't.
Claire Holt
But it is scary.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. Because I was like. You didn't post anything about that?
Claire Holt
Yeah, no, we didn't get smashed.
Amanda Hirsch
Huh. But seeing you run, even your training in Florida, where it's a thousand degrees, really rough, how do you train there?
Claire Holt
It just is really hard and you just do it and your body gets used to it.
Amanda Hirsch
Have you ever fainted running?
Claire Holt
I felt I was gonna faint yesterday, actually.
Amanda Hirsch
Really?
Claire Holt
Something happened at.
Amanda Hirsch
It was chilly, thank God. It was like, nice out. Have you ever run a marathon in like 100 degrees? Please don't.
Claire Holt
No, no, I did run 18 miles and as a training run leading up to it, and it was like 3:00 in the afternoon, 90 degrees outside or something. And that was maybe the worst run of my life.
Amanda Hirsch
Please never do that. I feel like I know you die.
Claire Holt
I'm scared of the. You. You said that.
Amanda Hirsch
I'm scared of the dying from the running.
Claire Holt
Well, I thought I was gonna maybe die after I spoke to my dad. My dad's a cardiologist and I called him yesterday. I was like, oh, I got really Dizzy at mile 21. And, like, I had to stop. I felt like I was gonna faint. He was like, why'd you get dizzy? What'd your heart do? So it was pretty high. He was like, whoa. I was like, maybe it was the sodium something. He was like, no, it was probably something to do with your heart. But I was like, am I gonna die, dad?
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, my God.
Claire Holt
No. He's very chill.
Amanda Hirsch
Running good for you or not?
Claire Holt
I think it is. I think exercise is good for you.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. There's exercise in there. Running, I mean, you don't. It's not good for your knees.
Claire Holt
No, honestly, my Achilles today is so busted. I'VE got the ugliest compression socks on of all time. Maybe Gen Z would like this, actually.
Amanda Hirsch
Maybe they love the dad. Okay. You do love Gen Z's opinion.
Claire Holt
Love their opinion.
Amanda Hirsch
And they give it to you.
Claire Holt
They keep.
Amanda Hirsch
What are they saying now?
Claire Holt
Some of them will tell me, like, straight up if it's not it too. Which I respect.
Amanda Hirsch
These Gen Z people coming from.
Claire Holt
I'm not sure. Where are they? I don't see them on the street.
Amanda Hirsch
No, like, where are they? Like, I was trying to think, who are your. I feel like they were loyal fan base. Like, who are they? Are they people that watched you when you were younger? Younger on the show? Are they TBD people? Are they new TVD people? Because they're new.
Claire Holt
Because it's lived forever, hasn't it? The. The man. What? The mermaid show has really last.
Amanda Hirsch
Regina, I thought, said she grew up in Mexico. She says it was always on her TV and she's like 5 years old.
Claire Holt
Oh, my gosh.
Amanda Hirsch
Isn't that crazy? She's like, every time I would turn on, there was H2O.
Claire Holt
It went to a lot of places. And honestly, I'm not thrilled with the way I looked.
Amanda Hirsch
It was so cute. I just watched that. Apparently, it's, like, going viral now.
Claire Holt
I know.
Amanda Hirsch
The nerd.
Claire Holt
Oh, yeah, yeah. That's fun.
Amanda Hirsch
Which one was it? Oh, no. Clara.
Claire Holt
Perfect. Nailed it. Absolutely nailed it. Give this woman a job.
Amanda Hirsch
First of all, speaking of jobs, like, acting is hard.
Claire Holt
Yeah, yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
No, because everything that you're saying, it's important for people to know why, like, how it works. Like, all these people that we're seeing, all these movie stars and whatever, they're flying to these places, living in them for months without their family can be lonely.
Claire Holt
That's the thing that I think that maybe people don't realize because they think that you're, like, surrounded by a lot of people or whatever. It can be super lonely. And when I lived in Atlanta, I was, oh, so lonely.
Amanda Hirsch
I was sad a lot because people were upset that you left the original.
Claire Holt
Really sad, though.
Amanda Hirsch
Why did that happen?
Claire Holt
I think at the time, I just really struggled living there by myself. And I don't know, I just wanted to go back to LA so badly.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, it came from you, Marcel.
Claire Holt
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Really.
Claire Holt
They were awesome about it. I mean, they let me come back for years and they were really flexible with me. And I did another show right after that called Aquarius, and they would work with the schedule there. And, like, they were really good to me, and I will always be grateful for that. But I just didn't want to be in Atlanta anymore, really. Now I love Atlanta.
Amanda Hirsch
Were you with Andy already at that point?
Claire Holt
No, no, I did. I was with some at the time and I think that probably, like, had something to do with it. And all my friends were in la and I just. I just felt lonely and I couldn't get past it, you know?
Amanda Hirsch
Do you miss LA now that you're in Florida?
Claire Holt
I miss my sister and her kids. They're there. I don't miss LA with kids. I. I really like Florida with kids.
Amanda Hirsch
Really? No way.
Claire Holt
They come home from school and like, they jump in the pool the whole year. Or like, we can go.
Amanda Hirsch
Wait, are you complaining about LA weather? No, that's what it sounds like.
Claire Holt
It is quite cold sometimes in la, though. People don't think it's cold. It is okay. In the winter it's cold.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Claire Holt
We live like six minutes from the beach. It's just. They're outside all the time on their scooters and, like, it's just like. Feels like a real neighborhood. And I don't know if I felt like that in la.
Amanda Hirsch
And you made a whole. Like, you have, like, friends there.
Claire Holt
Yeah, I made friends. That's really hard to do.
Amanda Hirsch
Is it? Mom friends.
Claire Holt
Mom friends. I mean, I feel like I've had to make new friends so many times in my life. Like, when I first moved to America, I had to make new friends.
Amanda Hirsch
Yes.
Claire Holt
And then I had to make new friends when I went to Atlanta. Then I had to make new friends when I went to Florida, which is kind of. It's harder to do crazy. You get.
Amanda Hirsch
Yes, But I did.
Claire Holt
I made friends.
Amanda Hirsch
Good.
Claire Holt
Yeah, but I love, you know, like, when the more kids you have, like, you just. They're your friends. Like, they tell you they're not supposed to be your friends, but.
Amanda Hirsch
What do you mean they tell you they're not supposed to be your friend?
Claire Holt
I don't know. Another real. I think I saw a real.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, my God. What it say? Don't be friends with other friends with your kids. Oh, your kids are your friends?
Claire Holt
Yeah, my kids are my friends.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Claire Holt
What is weirdo?
Amanda Hirsch
Your kids are your friends? I do tell Noah. He's my. Even though Noah told me something so sad yesterday, I'm trying to tell myself that it's like just. He wasn't thinking, but I was. I was literally going to him, like, who's my favorite boy in the entire world? Who's the love of my life that I was doing? He goes, lenny.
Claire Holt
No, my kids do that too.
Amanda Hirsch
Really?
Claire Holt
You don't love me as much as you love Chook. That's what we call el Chook. You don't love me as much as Chook. Or like I'm the worst person in the world. I don't know where they get it, but they do say it.
Amanda Hirsch
So that's what I'm. So my husband, he doesn't watch enough reels. So he'll be like, he's just. He's a kid. Like he's not think. And I'm like, he knows what he's saying. Like he chose to say Lenny and not me. Like, I don't think it's just like a brain. He thinks everything Noah says is a brain fart. And I'm like, no, it's not like.
Claire Holt
He means what he says for reactions. Right. Like they want a response from you. And so I. I don't know how to do it. Right. Like she's definitely gonna need therapy. I. I'm certain of that. But like I think so. Yeah. But I really love them. Like they're not gonna say my mum didn't love me.
Amanda Hirsch
Right?
Claire Holt
Just gonna say she loved me too much.
Amanda Hirsch
She loved me too much.
Claire Holt
She was sitting with me in college. It was a bit weird.
Amanda Hirsch
Do you think? Well, you're lucky because you have a girl too. But I think of the boys. Like we're gonna have to be those boys moms that aren't invited into the labor and delivery.
Claire Holt
I think about that a lot.
Amanda Hirsch
I have a solution.
Claire Holt
What?
Amanda Hirsch
Orphan wife or, and, or what? It happened before. I'm not killing her parents. Orphan wife. You're just going to put out an ad and. No, it just could happen like oh so sad. Or happen before it happened before they met or like awful family. I step in there, you are the cool. That's because I have no problem like in taking somebody in and like loving her like a daughter.
Claire Holt
How are you going to find these orphan wife?
Amanda Hirsch
We can't have somebody with a great family. That's what I'm telling you.
Claire Holt
Right, well, but then do they have issues that they're going to take out in your son?
Amanda Hirsch
That is true. But I think like what's more important.
Claire Holt
That you are best friends with their.
Amanda Hirsch
Mom in the labor and delivery room.
Claire Holt
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Holding that baby.
Claire Holt
What if your besties with the mom the. The way.
Amanda Hirsch
I can't deal with competition like that. It's too close. You know what I mean? I can't deal with like another great. Like imagine let's. That's a whole other part of our lives. Do you think you being competitive with James's wife's mom to who's more involved.
Claire Holt
I love my mother in law though. Like I would let her. I would probably let her in the room if she asked and I'd let my mum.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. I'm trying to see how that relates.
Claire Holt
Like, like if you might get a daughter in law who is really obsessed with you and wants you there.
Amanda Hirsch
Right. Oh. Even though your mom is grade two. Yeah.
Claire Holt
Great mom too. Oh, you might just get someone who really likes you. You're cool.
Amanda Hirsch
That's what I'm saying. Oh, I don't need the mom to be dead.
Claire Holt
No, no.
Amanda Hirsch
She could just like me. I think she needs to like me more.
Claire Holt
Can marry a fan of yours or something. That'd be nice.

Amanda Hirsch
What was it called?
Claire Holt
Untitled Horror Movie. Oh, yeah, the Pandemic on Zoom.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh my God. But that was what was cool about it.
Claire Holt
Yeah, it was cool. I would love to. I really would. I just.
Amanda Hirsch
Are you putting it out there?
Claire Holt
Sure, yeah, I would. I just. I panic that, like, I'm gonna go down that road and like, really aggressively pursue something or go like, okay, that's it. Like, it's time for me again. And then I'm gonna be the first day on a job and. And be like, my children, I've abandoned them. But you know what? I'm very like, woo, woo. The universe. Like, and so I'm just gonna put it out there. Like the Right. Thing comes.
Amanda Hirsch
Well, Phoebe, your bff.
Claire Holt
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
She did, like, amazing things this last.
Claire Holt
Amazing. That show.
Amanda Hirsch
The boy swallows the universe. Obsessed.
Claire Holt
Obsessed. So, like. And she was unbelievable.
Amanda Hirsch
I was like. I was like, you need to win awards for this. She was so good.
Claire Holt
So good.
Amanda Hirsch
And she came out to support you yesterday. Did she make an engagement announcement? She literally did.
Claire Holt
Yeah, she did. I'm like, have I? Am I.
Amanda Hirsch
No, she did.
Claire Holt
Yeah, she did.
Amanda Hirsch
She.
Claire Holt
She put the pictures.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
That's amazing.
Amanda Hirsch
Such a cool way to do it.
Claire Holt
Like, amazing.
Amanda Hirsch
You know, she didn't, like, put emojis or anything.
Claire Holt
I would literally do the opposite. I. I want to announce everything.
Amanda Hirsch
No. In my life, you struggle with that. I feel like.
Claire Holt
With, like, being too much. Showing too much.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, you want to be cool on Instagram, but you're.
Claire Holt
No, I can't be.
Amanda Hirsch
But you are cool.
Claire Holt
I love you. I want to be cool so badly. I want to be, like, chic. Like. No, but then I. I can't not.
Amanda Hirsch
Think about how it might be cringy.
Claire Holt
Think about how it might be cringey, but also, like, I want to tell everyone everything.
Amanda Hirsch
You say nothing. I don't know what you're talking about. What have you shared personally? Literally nothing.
Claire Holt
Really?
Amanda Hirsch
I guess you think you're over sharing.
Claire Holt
I think I. Well, I think about how much I share my kids. We've talked about this. I panic about that sometimes.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
Anyway, I think that, like, you would.
Amanda Hirsch
Want to emoji them.
Claire Holt
I'd want.
Amanda Hirsch
Well, now I choose to be emoji.
Claire Holt
I worry that they're going to need therapy because I didn't emoji them. What do you think?
Amanda Hirsch
I'm trying to think. I think James has, you know, when.
Claire Holt
I think about it and.
Amanda Hirsch
What is he?
Claire Holt
James asked me if he went viral once.
Amanda Hirsch
No, he did not.
Claire Holt
I swear to God.
Amanda Hirsch
No. Ask me something about subscribers, but I think that's not us.
Claire Holt
No, it's not us. Someone said something to them.
Amanda Hirsch
No one doesn't know that. Right. Noah doesn't know, like, what I'm filming him for sometimes, but he does watch sometimes things that they're like, like the button and, like, subscribe on YouTube. And then he said, I know, I need to get rid of it. I tried before and then he, like, found on the TV again and.
Claire Holt
Why don't you do what I did with the Chat GPT Pokemon thing?
Amanda Hirsch
What did you do?
Claire Holt
Oh, it really worked a treat. So my kid got introduced to Pokemon Go, not by me. And they became absolutely obsessed with it. Like, wanted to do it at all times. You couldn't even talk to him. He was like, pokemon Go. And I had put this, like, App limit of 10 minutes a day or whatever on it. And finally I was like, no, no, no, I can't do this. So I was talking to my sister on the phone, and she was like, have Chatgpt write you a letter from the CEO of Pokemon Go.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, I saw that. Yeah, yeah.
Claire Holt
Saying that there's no more. There's no more.
Amanda Hirsch
It's gone.
Claire Holt
So I did it, and I showed it to him and read it to him, and he was like, oh, man. All right. He fully bought it. I took it off. I forgot to take it off on the 31st when it was supposed to. So on November 1st, he was like.
Amanda Hirsch
Mom, it didn't get to my fan.
Claire Holt
I was like, oh, I think they just gave kids one extra day as a Halloween present.
Amanda Hirsch
Stop. And now you're taking it away forever.
Claire Holt
It's gone forever. And he is fine with it.
Amanda Hirsch
So you're saying you weren't even gonna limit it to once a week. You fully decided to take it away?
Claire Holt
Decided to take it away. And you could probably do that with YouTube or you could, like, write a letter from the. The.
Amanda Hirsch
His favorite from, like, the thing is, like, small steps. We got into a really bad habit at one point of allowing him to watch his iPad for, like, 10 minutes before bed, and I hated it. Every time we, like, one of us put him to sleep and we did the iPad, I felt like, this is so bad. I never went to sleep with TV as an adult. Like, never, ever, ever. How am I doing this to my kid? And it sat on me, sad on me. And then one day I, like, made up a story like, that. I was like, we have no Internet in the room and we can't do it. And watching him immediately accept it and it go from, this is what we're doing to him. Going to sleep without anything. Just going to sleep. I'm like, oh, my God. Like, you can literally. You can do it. You can say anything. Put your foot down. No. Make up a lie so they fucking do it. But. And it worked. Like, you guys have an issue. It works so well. Like, maybe you don't. Didn't even need the letter. Just be like, it's gone.
Claire Holt
But I want to have the confidence to just be like, no.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
Struggle a little bit with that.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. But then no Internet. He's like, oh, no Internet. Or however he says it, he got it.
Claire Holt
He's so cute.
Amanda Hirsch
So you're doing other stuff now, though. You're doing.
Claire Holt
Doing other stuff.
Amanda Hirsch
There's corner. The corner, Swipe up.
Claire Holt
That's.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
Listen, I just want to be busy and I want to do stuff, and I want to be creatively fulfilled, and I still want to, like, have work and interact with people, but I want to be a mom. Be a mom and still be a dumb, you know.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, yes.
Claire Holt
So I want to do. Do that. And I'm trying to find things like the running and, like, some collabs I've done and the writing that I can be busy and I can feel like, okay, I'm putting something out into the world. I'm challenging myself, but I'm not, like, missing my kids all the time. And, you know, and also, like, you just never know with acting. It's a really, like. Even for the people. I mean, obviously not for, like, Brad Pitt, whatever, but even for the people who have been doing it a long time. Like, sometimes there's, like, rough patches and you just don't know. There's. It's not consistent. And so I just want to have something that I can do consistently and feel like I'm, you know, using my brain a bit.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah, no, it's a hard industry.
Claire Holt
It is. It's. There was a lot of, like, so much rejection when I first started.
Amanda Hirsch
So how did you handle that since you're so, like, you tend to go.
Claire Holt
I was like, well, of course you didn't hire me because I'm a loser. So I stop.
Amanda Hirsch
Claire.
Claire Holt
It was hard. There was one day where I. I remember I had done so many auditions. I just moved to la and I sat on a bus stop on Sunset Boulevard and cried my eyes out. No one even flinched. Another crying gal here. I was so, like, embarrassed and like, how is it possible that it is this hard?
Amanda Hirsch
But you look at it now like, but I am one of the ones that made it like, you weren't. It's not. You weren't sitting in that bus stop, gave it all up, went back to Australia. Like, you did really big things.
Claire Holt
I think I had told myself that I would, like, give it two years. And if in two years I didn't have a job or I hadn't liked anything, I would go back and go to college. Yeah, Australia. And I got my first job. You never really believe it. Like, you always think you're going to get fired the first day of work. Or at least I did first. I was going to show back, show up, and someone would say, like, oh, we've made a terrible mistake, which I.
Amanda Hirsch
Feel like has happened Happened. Yeah.
Claire Holt
So you constantly feel, like, on edge or whatever until, like, you've been doing something for a long time, like a long show or something. But I never just felt, like, confident in it, except when I was on set. Like, I loved it so much. I really did love it, but it's hard. You never know, like, if you're gonna continue or if you're gonna make it or. I did. I think it was 140, 42 auditions before I got my first job in America.
Amanda Hirsch
You counted?
Claire Holt
No, my manager at the time counted.
Amanda Hirsch
Stop.
Claire Holt
Yeah, she. I thank God for her for doing that, because I was going to say no to one certain audition. She was like, Claire, done 142 auditions. You have to go. You have to do this. And I was like, oh, you're right. And so I did. And then I think that was one of the jobs I got.
Amanda Hirsch
And then I was, is there any job that you were gonna get? Didn't end up getting something like that. We know that another famous actress did that.
Claire Holt
You're the one that crushed me very early on was this movie called Percy Jackson, the Lightning Thief that Alexandra Daddario got. She's great. Like, she obviously, like, deserved that role, but that was the one when I first moved that I was like, this is it. This is my moment.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
I'm going to just swan into America and become a. Yeah. And, like, I didn't. I tested for it. I went to Vancouver. I did the whole thing. Like, they showed footage.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow.
Claire Holt
Basically, like, when you're gonna get a job, you do this thing called testing where you have to sign the contract.
Amanda Hirsch
Before I just heard this. Yeah. Yeah.
Claire Holt
There's three of you or there's five of you or whatever. And you have to act as if. Which is kind of a mind, because you have to, like, imagine your life like that and. And what it's going to be like and can you do it? And then you start, like, thinking about all these things and, like, this is gonna be my job and my life. And you sign the contract and you go in, you do the audition. You do. And then they're like, oh, sorry, they picked the other one.
Amanda Hirsch
That's wild.
Claire Holt
It's tough. So anyway, that happened to me, but they flew us to Vancouver to do the audition. So we filmed with. With Logan Lerman, who was, like, the lead of this thing. And I really thought, like, oh, that was gonna be that. And then I didn't get it. And it took me a long time to get a job after that. And it was kind of like soul Crushing.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
But, you know, slight grit. That's the thing that I think I want to teach my kids as well. Like, I don't want to save them from failure because I think that it.
Amanda Hirsch
Really, like, is important.
Claire Holt
Important for sure. And I think, like, even with my race, if I didn't fail that first time, I mean, I finished it, but if I. I didn't have such a hard time, I don't think I would have, like, come back and try it again and, like, had that feeling of, oh, I did it.
Amanda Hirsch
You know, I feel like this. Running is your life.
Claire Holt
Am I going to be a professional athlete?
Amanda Hirsch
I mean, you're. Did your body like, what? I don't know. Like, no. Like, how much stronger I got.
Claire Holt
Muscle your legs for sure.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
Because I don't know, you just, like, doing a lot.
Amanda Hirsch
Are you going to keep running every day? Like, what's going to be.
Claire Holt
I need to take some time off. I'm pretty busted now. Like, my. My Achilles is like.
Amanda Hirsch
Is your husband happy or done? Yeah, he's happy.
Claire Holt
He loves. He won't admit it. Well, he will admit it. He loves, like, the race and coming to be the cheerleader. It's so much fun. Like, I don't know if you've watched marathon. It's so.
Amanda Hirsch
I haven't. I literally go for a minute.
Claire Holt
Oh, you should go for a bit longer. Yeah, just run one.
Amanda Hirsch
I ran to the marathon to, like, get there in time and I couldn't breathe. You had a water on you. I saw so many people. I'm shocked. Like, they're volunteers that pick up those cups.
Claire Holt
They do. The volunteers are amazing. They get splashed because, like, you're trying to grab the cups and you, like, knock them over. They get Gatorade all over them.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, does it have Gatorade in it?
Claire Holt
Some have Gatorade, some have water.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, did you. How many oranges did you eat?
Claire Holt
No oranges. I had those disgusting gels. You suck down these, like, sugar gels.
Amanda Hirsch
I saw people doing that and you were car bloating a lot.
Claire Holt
Disgusting.
Amanda Hirsch
Because I remember you ran one race and you were so excited after you, like, celebrated with pizza.
Claire Holt
I felt that was Chicago. That was three weeks ago.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Claire Holt
I was so happy after that one.
Amanda Hirsch
But pizza after is exciting. Isn't that part of the carb loading? That's what I was confused about.
Claire Holt
Yeah, it is. So, no, like, what?
Amanda Hirsch
Wait, so I'm like, wait, I thought you're disgusted by this food already.
Claire Holt
I had like, a 4 Charles Burger after the first race I ever did. And it was so bad on my stomach, you know, I saw sensitive tummy gals. What's that mean? That only cute girls have a sensitive stomach.
Amanda Hirsch
We do.
Claire Holt
Yeah. So I. I went with like, what was safe. What did I have this time? Grilled cheese after.
Amanda Hirsch
But you're carb loading before, so this isn't like an exciting food.
Claire Holt
No, but you have to. The carb loading before, I feel like, is like you're so much. I mean, this is getting like really granular. But you. You don't want the fat. You don't want like the. The as much protein. You just want like straight carbs. So it's pretty boring. Like, like a dry bagel or a bagel with jam or something.
Amanda Hirsch
It's like, saw your bagel with jam.
Claire Holt
Disgusting.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, because like cream cheese would be like fat and. Right.
Claire Holt
The more you have of that, the harder it is to eat enough carbs.
Amanda Hirsch
How much carbs you need?
Claire Holt
I think I was doing like 500 grams a day for three days leading up to the race.
Amanda Hirsch
Do you gain weight?
Claire Holt
You gain water weight? Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
From those carbs?
Claire Holt
Yeah. Like if you don't gain a few pounds, you probably haven't carb loaded enough.
Amanda Hirsch
So everyone running should be carb loading.
Claire Holt
If you want to have an easier time in the race. Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Easier time on. In what way? You're. Your what?
Claire Holt
So your muscles store this thing called glycogen, I guess. And if you have enough carbs, like, you can store up a certain amount of glycogen, which means that's like fuel for the race. And then you take the gels and the Gatorade and like the gels are sugar. Sugar. So much sugar.
Amanda Hirsch
So why was your. Why do you feel like you were going to faint?
Claire Holt
I think maybe it was more my heart.
Amanda Hirsch
My God. But people faint all the time. But usually it's like heat now, so.
Claire Holt
Dehydration, heat, like a lot of reasons.
Amanda Hirsch
But you were drinking and I was.
Claire Holt
I was totally hydrated. That's why I carried my little water things with me.
Amanda Hirsch
Is it like a thing? What was the water thing?
Claire Holt
Little bottles.
Amanda Hirsch
Looks. So that's it though.
Claire Holt
No. And then I took the cups as well.
Amanda Hirsch
And you filled it up?
Claire Holt
No, I had like the water things before. Do you think the listeners are really.
Amanda Hirsch
I care. They care.
Claire Holt
Okay, fine. Yeah, I had the water things before, so it was like 20 ounces of water or something. The cups, I'm like.
Amanda Hirsch
And what about those glasses? Why are those necessary?
Claire Holt
The running glasses look sick.
Amanda Hirsch
No, but for real.
Claire Holt
No, it was pretty bright it was bright, sunny.
Amanda Hirsch
Can you not wear like a regular. Oh, these don't fall off.
Claire Holt
Maybe these don't fall off. Yeah. You can't wear like.
Amanda Hirsch
You think you look cool in that?
Claire Holt
Yeah, of course.
Amanda Hirsch
You do think you look.
Claire Holt
One of the things I'm going to admit that I like about myself is self. And running glasses.
Amanda Hirsch
You love them.
Claire Holt
I love them.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Claire Holt
Didn't you see my glittery hair, too? My.
Amanda Hirsch
When you did your cute little braid.
Claire Holt
My theory was, like, the less professional you look, the less people expect of you.
Amanda Hirsch
So you wanted. Because I liked your little Maybelline reel. You did. You did really good. I liked it. I usually don't even watch those. Obviously, for you, I'd watch, but I was also like. She did so good. She did it. Got ready with me. I did.
Claire Holt
I was watching.
Amanda Hirsch
And I know you cringe. What's the thing you cringe at the most? On social media. Not about you. Like, what's the cringiest thing?
Claire Holt
What do I cringe at? I think, like, the lovey dovey stuff.
Amanda Hirsch
Really?
Claire Holt
I'm kind of lovey dovey. I know.
Amanda Hirsch
No, but like, the ones you guys do.
Claire Holt
I'll tell you what it is. It's like the people who set up the tripod to film themselves dancing the. As a couple in the room.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, my God.
Claire Holt
As a couple dancing.
Amanda Hirsch
No, I can't.
Claire Holt
No, I can't.
Amanda Hirsch
That's. That's insane. Could you imagine in.
Claire Holt
But also imagine like.
Amanda Hirsch
Or kissing or kissing. Kissing.
Claire Holt
Imagine, like, your husband being on board with it.
Amanda Hirsch
Insane.
Claire Holt
Kissing.
Amanda Hirsch
Insane. The cringiest.
Claire Holt
Yeah. So that. And then I always think, oh, my gosh, is this me? I did one very cringey one once and I thought about it.
Amanda Hirsch
What was it? Oh, I know what it was.
Claire Holt
You know, the bridge, the flip, the rock.
Amanda Hirsch
Not the bridge. What?
Claire Holt
What's the bridge?
Amanda Hirsch
Whoops. No, you said something about it. Which bridge was you? And you guys were like, under a bridge on a boat.
Claire Holt
It was. That was it.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay, okay. Oh, it was a rock. See, I didn't. I didn't make any.
Claire Holt
That was the cringiest thing.
Amanda Hirsch
What did it say? Was it like.
Claire Holt
I don't want to repeat it. I'm so embarrassed. I can't take it down. No, I have to, like, commit to it.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
Someone told me they thought it was from a cringe account, though.
Amanda Hirsch
They thought it was like, one of.
Claire Holt
Those, like, comments was like, I thought this was from a cringe account and surprised. This from you.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, my God. They were just trying to fuck with you.
Claire Holt
No, I think they were. They meant it like very seriously.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, like too cute.
Claire Holt
I don't know. Anyway, I think that all the time now I have a. Now when I post something, I'm like, oh God.
Amanda Hirsch
I know. That's how you get. Which is why I want to tell you. Your thing was so good because I know you get. You always used to ask me like, how do you just talk to the camera?
Claire Holt
How do you do it? I did try and do it on the way here.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, you did?
Claire Holt
Yeah. There was so many people and I kind of like held my camera down, but everyone was wearing their metal and I didn't wear it because I felt like.
Amanda Hirsch
What do you mean?
Claire Holt
The next day everyone's wearing their metal on the street.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, you've noticed. See, this is something I probably wouldn't notice, but as.
Claire Holt
No, you would. If you walking down Times Square, which is where I was walking, why were you.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, you're saying around here.
Claire Holt
I'm saying up north. But I wanted to like walk down here to. To get some blood flowing.
Amanda Hirsch
Uhhuh. Walk more fine.
Claire Holt
So just, you know, imagine I'm in a movie, listen to my music, and everyone was wearing their middle.
Amanda Hirsch
Do you listen to music on the marathon?
Claire Holt
Normally, yes, but because I ran with such an icon yesterday, I just wanted to chit chat with her.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh my God. That's why you got dizzy. You were just talking up the wazoo maybe.
Claire Holt
And then at last, last six miles, I put on this like hardcore, like don't be a little get up, like that type of motivational stuff.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
And so I did that. But normally I run with music all the time, but not. It's also the New York marathon is so overwhelming. Like in a good way.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Claire Holt
There's just so many people cheering. It's so loud. What was my favorite sign yesterday? This is, this is really long and hard. Just the way my girlfriend likes it.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh my God, that's good. Did you see anybody cool aside from the people you kind of ran with? Did you see any like anyone passing it?
Claire Holt
That was no one passing me. You know what? It's.
Amanda Hirsch
It's when you see no one passes me.
Claire Holt
No one passed me. Lots of people passed me. It's when you see the people pushing, like the, the massive strollers, like the, the running wheelchairs and they're pushing like a full grown adult and they're just monstering up these hills and they're so, so amazing people. My friend Max does that. He does all the world marathons pushing. I mean, it's amazing people Running on like blades. Would someone on crutches doing the whole thing on crutches? No. Crazy.
Amanda Hirsch
What are they trying to prove? No, I'm just kidding. That's amazing. Seriously amazing. You know what's surprising? That you didn't do a water birth with all these like things that you're able to do.
Claire Holt
That's not me. Yeah. And then when I like the epidural, that didn't work. That was hell for me. That's not me. I'm not a water birth girl.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. I wanted to ask you just one fun pop culture question. Who is your fave celebrity couple out of the following? I'm not gonna make you think about it. Give you multiple choice.
Claire Holt
Okay, great.
Amanda Hirsch
Robin Suki.
Claire Holt
Okay.
Amanda Hirsch
Tom and Zendaya. Blake and Ryan tones and da full stop.
Claire Holt
I'm not even like considering anyone else.
Amanda Hirsch
Really. I could see you being into Tom and Suki a bit to Robin Suki, right?
Claire Holt
No. Okay, so Zendaya the most. Just because, like I want to be her.
Amanda Hirsch
You know, it's so funny, we did this panel yesterday and we were talking about Tom Holland because he just was asked what his recent Google search was. See what he said?
Claire Holt
Because I saw you post that, Zendaya.
Amanda Hirsch
But. So I told this girl Jenny Mullen, she's not that into like pop culture. But she was like, wait, what? And I was like, yeah, he searches her to make sure everything's okay. And she had an entirely different take on it.
Claire Holt
Like, it's creepy.
Amanda Hirsch
She was like, she was like, that's fucking creepy. Like, why is he doing that?
Claire Holt
No, it's not creepy.
Amanda Hirsch
It's a little. You know what I think, okay, I'm just trying to be a devil's advocate because I'm obsessed too. But I'm just thinking, is Tom Holland a little bit controlling? Because we saw the come off that way.
Claire Holt
Come on. He doesn't get vibe of someone if they're controlling. Like the way they walk, the way they're looking around.
Amanda Hirsch
Like he's checking her Google searches to see if like I've googled my husband.
Claire Holt
Haven't you?
Amanda Hirsch
No, he won't come up.
Claire Holt
Why would I Google see if what comes up? I Google everyone.
Amanda Hirsch
You do?
Claire Holt
Oh, I love it. Well, now that Chat GPT is out. Don't Google so much anymore. I just do everything on Chat GPT.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh my God. You guys know I've never used chatgpt.
Claire Holt
You are missing out. I swear, it's the greatest thing to ever stop. You don't even have to use your brain for anything. Anymore.
Amanda Hirsch
What do you use it for?
Claire Holt
Like, any question you've ever had.
Amanda Hirsch
Do you have the app?
Claire Holt
Yeah, of course.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, maybe I'll get the app also.
Claire Holt
Noah would love this. Andy does this for L. You can, like, get a image version and, like, Elle's, like, make me a unicorn pushing a shopping trolley, wearing high heels with lipstick on. And you can ask ChatGPT to do it, and it'll do the most beautiful picture of it.
Amanda Hirsch
I'm missing out on life. Okay, I want to know your thoughts on this.
Claire Holt
Okay.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. I want to preface something for those that love and follow Claire and don't know this. Almost every thought that I've had, or I would even say, like, hot take.
Claire Holt
That I've had, I agree with. She agrees with everyone.
Amanda Hirsch
Just, you know, everyone chain. So innocent. She loves pop culture. She loves it. Do you know I was so tired yesterday? This is my mom brain. Did you have this, like, I'm not okay on. On the cab right here, I was working on something, and I was like, what's the word? Vocal. Vocal. The driver couldn't hear me being so dumb anymore. He was, like, verbal. Like, he had to give me the word. I couldn't think of. You and I were texting yesterday, and you were like. And I have this excellent tea. And in my mind, I was like, what tea is she drinking?
Claire Holt
Oh, like, smooth move.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, what tea is she bringing? Like, my brain is on it.
Claire Holt
I love it.
Amanda Hirsch
But anyway, just. You really.
Claire Holt
You've outed me. I'm obsessed with it.
Amanda Hirsch
But she's. Yeah.
Claire Holt
So just.
Amanda Hirsch
You guys know.
Claire Holt
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
She loves it. So does her mom.
Claire Holt
I'm afraid to say it publicly. I'm so proud of you for doing it. I'm afraid someone's going to cancel me, and I have my hot.
Amanda Hirsch
Sometimes you try to egg me on. You're like, full size, and I'm like, no, Claire, you'll.
Claire Holt
You do it anyway.
Amanda Hirsch
I end up doing it because, again, once it's planned in my head.
Claire Holt
That's why people love you, because you just say it how it is. You're not afraid to say what you want to say.
Amanda Hirsch
I know, but I'm sure I'm fucking myself in some way.
Claire Holt
Doesn't appear that way.
Amanda Hirsch
Not yet.
Claire Holt
Look at you go.
Amanda Hirsch
Look at me go. So I wanted your thoughts on this. So speaking of Ryan and Blake.
Claire Holt
Okay.
Amanda Hirsch
Your thoughts on Martha saying Ryan's not funny. Who not doing it?
Claire Holt
Who?
Amanda Hirsch
See, you missed it because you got scared I was going to do something. I didn't do it.
Claire Holt
Who said Ryan's not funny.
Amanda Hirsch
Martha Stuart. You missed that. You were running.
Claire Holt
I was running. Martha Stewart said, ryan's not funny.
Amanda Hirsch
Literally went on a rant. She was on some, like, talk show.
Claire Holt
You can't say he's not funny.
Amanda Hirsch
She said, they live next to each other. She said, in real life, he's not funny. He's very serious. She doubled down.
Claire Holt
But there aren't a lot of comedians that way. They're not going around cracking jokes left and right.
Amanda Hirsch
I have to be honest. I have a lot of comedians on the show and I come in the morning being like, I can't wait to laugh.
Claire Holt
And you're the one doing the joke.
Amanda Hirsch
And I'm like, joke, joke, joke, thinking this is our vibe.
Claire Holt
They don't.
Amanda Hirsch
Not the vibe.
Claire Holt
I don't know why that is, though.
Amanda Hirsch
Because it's. I don't know.
Claire Holt
It's probably tiring to just crack jokes. You would know.
Amanda Hirsch
It's probably also, you're not a machine. Like, you're not a machine. Joke, joke, joke. You write them.
Claire Holt
Did he respond to it?
Amanda Hirsch
He did, but, like, in the least Ryan Reynolds way. Like, you would think he would be so funny about it. But it was actually because I forgot what it was.
Claire Holt
She just randomly tweeted that he's not funny?
Amanda Hirsch
No, no, she didn't tweet. She was on this. I don't say like, dumb talk show because it wasn't. It was a random interview and they were like, who's the funniest? Blah, blah. Ryan Reynolds. So then instead of just answering and picking the. A different guy, she was like. She was like, ryan Reynolds is just not funny. I don't know why people think it. He's not funny in real life.
Claire Holt
I thought the martini sipping. The martini thing is very funny.
Amanda Hirsch
What was that?
Claire Holt
Remember when he went to that, like.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, my God, do I remember when he talked about it? Because he was on the pod.
Claire Holt
Yeah, duh.
Amanda Hirsch
Wait, I want to see what he. What? He responded. She said, I'm going to get in trouble. He's my neighbor. So Ryan Reynolds responded, I disagree with her, but I've tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. What does that word. Oh, what does spry mean?
Claire Holt
What does it actually mean? Chat. Gbt.
Amanda Hirsch
He probably fudgeing. Yeah.
Claire Holt
I can't describe it.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. Claire. She really closed the gap after a mile or so. What? I don't know.
Claire Holt
She really.
Amanda Hirsch
Non Ryan Reynolds response.
Claire Holt
Like, oh, he's pissed. He's pissed.
Amanda Hirsch
This is him being really pissed.
Claire Holt
His feelings are hurt. Maybe his feelings are hurt.
Amanda Hirsch
He should have said like something really funny. Yeah. Funny response or not responded. But this. I disagree with her, but I've tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. That she really.
Claire Holt
Maybe he really hates her. Like maybe there's been some. Some drama in the building.
Amanda Hirsch
In the building. In the mansions and in Bedford that I'm moving to.
Claire Holt
So is. Do I think he's funny?
Amanda Hirsch
No. I wasn't gonna even put you there. I just wanted to tell you about this. Oh, I know the things that you think. Not about this. About others, though.
Claire Holt
You can ask me about it. No. No, you can't.
Amanda Hirsch
No, I can't.
Claire Holt
I. I do think he's funny though. I think he does a lot, but I think he's funny.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. Sometimes. Sometimes there's a lot of going on. But yeah, there. He should have. He should have used his comedy. Comedic things for this tweet.
Claire Holt
Exactly.
Amanda Hirsch
Come back at Martha. Even though the things that are coming out of her mouth. You guys, you have to just. There was just now they posted like Martha says, if your husband cheats on you, they're an idiot. Get out. And I'm like, okay, Martha. I don't know what Martha said. Claire Holt
Oh, she's. She's trying to make the headlines.
Amanda Hirsch
She's. Yeah, this 83 year old.
Claire Holt
Get it? Go.
Amanda Hirsch

Claire Holt
Any publicity is good publicity, they say, right?
Amanda Hirsch
Do you feel that way though?
Claire Holt
No.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Claire Holt
That's what they say. I'm way too scared as a person.
Amanda Hirsch
Just, you know. Your latest headline is like, claire won the Chicago.
Claire Holt
I won 209. She won two hours and nine minutes. Yeah. No, I didn't win. I participated. I'm trying to teach James. He doesn't understand why I got a medal. He's like, you didn't win. I was like, it's a petition. Participate. It's a participation medal.
Amanda Hirsch
That's so cute though, that everyone gets one. Everyone gets a vodka to get one. Get one. Like driving down the marathon thing. Get the medal at the end. Claire Holt. I'm obsessed with, you know, this year. Thank you for coming on.
Claire Holt
I'm such a fan girl. I'm so excited. I was very nervous today. It's like, what if I say, what if I'm boring?
