Amanda Hirsch
Welcome back to the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. I'm your host, Amanda Hirsch, and I
Claudia Ashrae
still can't believe that I get to
Amanda Hirsch
chat with some of my favorite stars
Claudia Ashrae
on my very own podcast, where you'll
Amanda Hirsch
feel like you're just talking shit with your best friends in your living room.
Claudia Ashrae
Happy and you know it. Clap your hands. I have everybody. Happy Tuesday.
Amanda Hirsch
Welcome back to the show. I have strep again.
Claudia Ashrae
I have strep again.
Amanda Hirsch
Isn't that weird?
Claudia Ashrae
But I also.
Amanda Hirsch
I know, you know when you hear yourself, like, a broken record, like, everyone who asks me, I'm like, no. It's like, I knew.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, I knew the symptoms.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, I felt like it was the same symptoms. So he knew.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, it's just you do get to
Amanda Hirsch
be an expert in kind of sickness. I was gonna say when you have kids, but it's not true because I was talking about me. Like, as you get older.
Claudia Ashrae
I was gonna say, as you grow up.
Amanda Hirsch
Isn't grow up a better word than get older? Like, why does not say, like, grow up? Like, always say that when you grow up?
Claudia Ashrae
When I grow up, because, like, I
Amanda Hirsch
had strep, like, two months ago and was, like, literally bedridden. Like, really? It was terrible, terrible, terrible. And then I had kind of the same feeling, but, like, 15 of it, but the same, like, symptoms, like swollen lymph nodes. And it started both times with, like, a migraine. So anyway, but this is me unstrapped.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, I'm pretty okay.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, I'm. I'm okay. It just started with the same symptoms. And my mom, antibiotics again.
Claudia Ashrae
Amanda, antibiotics again. She's like, sending me coconut cold.
Amanda Hirsch
I'm like, fine, I'll buy it. I'll, like, you know, I'll do. I'll do it. You need vitamin D. And then the
Claudia Ashrae
thing is, I look at my blood test.
Amanda Hirsch
I'm like, oh, my God. Damn, I donate vitamin D. And then you guys were DMing me. Like, take vitamin D. Like, your vitamin D is probably low, and that really, like, affects immune system. I'm like, okay. Like, I should be taking more supplements. Like, I always tell you guys that I'm not a huge supplement person. Like, I have them all, by the way.
Claudia Ashrae
I just.
Amanda Hirsch
I don't know. There are days that I don't believe in them. There are days that I'm like, you know, I'll just pee them out. Or like, who really even, you know, needs these things? And then. But I do think I should get on my vitamin D game at Le.
Claudia Ashrae
At the very least.
Amanda Hirsch
The only, like, thing I'm good about, really, is I'm really good with digestive enzymes. I'm like, I pop those, like, fucking. I'm like, I. I'm like, I know I constantly need help with digestion. Something so funny happened with my BFF last night. I was like. I was talking on the phone with my BFF, Tom, and. Or Tom, Really? That's his name. Don't Americanize everything, Amanda. And I was literally, like, just complaining. I was just, like, complaining about being fat. I know nothing about how fat. Here I am. Same mantra. You guys are gonna, like, think I have an eating disorder, but, like, not eating disorder. You think I'm gonna have, like, body issues, which I do. Don't we all? But I was just like, no, like, I don't understand. Like, all I do is, like, eat so healthy and, like, a workout and, like. And then I'm like, wait, I have to FaceTime you?
Claudia Ashrae
Because as I'm saying that, I'm literally eating ice cream. But it was such a funny, organic, like, moment because we're on the phone.
Amanda Hirsch
I'm literally like. And I don't. Meanwhile, you guys, I'm like, the spoon is in my mouth. I'm like. And I don't understand. Like, all I do is I eat so healthy and work out, blah, blah, blah.
Claudia Ashrae
And he's like, whatever.
Amanda Hirsch
He's consoling me, and I'm like, wait, answer. FaceTime. And then I'm like, spoonful. With that, he literally lost it. And I'm like, I'm in no mood. I'm still in the Robbie Hoffman episode. I felt like. I mean, you guys were obsessed with it, and that makes me really happy. I. Things that she said, like, stayed in my mind, you know, like, her. The way she talks. Like, just, like, that's fantastic, you know?
Claudia Ashrae
Or like, I'm in no mood. I'm in no mood. I just love the way she talks.
Amanda Hirsch
And she's so charismatic.
Claudia Ashrae
I had to correct a few people
Amanda Hirsch
saying I loved them.
Claudia Ashrae
They were so good. And I was like, why are you.
Amanda Hirsch
Which I should have talked to her about. Like, some people are deciding that she uses they. Them pronouns, and she. She doesn't. So I enjoyed correcting those people for just like, over. You know, like, over trying to be. You know, I don't know what the word is, but it's like, no, she's not. She doesn't go by they. Them. She goes by she. So don't assume you're making an ass out of you. And Me, I feel like there was so much more to talk to her about. And again, I think she's so. She's so funny. She has her own sense of humor. And I just. I just loved our conversation. I'm so glad it resonated.
Claudia Ashrae
I'm so glad it resonated if.
Amanda Hirsch
What mood am I in? I don't know.
Claudia Ashrae
Anyway, let's get to today's episode.
Amanda Hirsch
Another fun one for you.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, I'm just full of surprises.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, I'm just full of. You know what I.
Claudia Ashrae
With this, guys.
Amanda Hirsch
This is what crossed my mind. I didn't say it to her. I was planning on it, but I don't know why I didn't come out, but I was planning on asking her at the beginning of the episode. Like, are we people's nightmare blunt rotation, or are we like, the collab we've been waiting for? Like, which one do you think that it is? And I think it's the collab you've been waiting for.
Claudia Ashrae
It is Claudia Ashrae girl with no job.
Amanda Hirsch
Which, you know, we talk about that like our. Our handles of it all. And we, you know, I. I told her, I was like, I think yours is better than mine. Like your girl know job. At least you're not. Not gonna be. Not bad.
Claudia Ashrae
Anyway, obviously we get into pop culture.
Amanda Hirsch
I love her takes. I love how unfiltered they are. I love how she just says whatever the she wants and she goes deep in on, you know, celeb topics and. And gossip and doesn't give enough. And we talk about why and how she doesn't give enough to say whatever the she thinks. So this is another. This is another treat for. Yeah, enjoy.
Claudia Ashrae
Hey. I'm so glad that we did that. I know. I texted you at like midnight.
Jackie
I'm like 4 in the morning.
Claudia Ashrae
Hi. But. Oh, you go to bed late 4 in the morning.
Jackie
I woke up at like 6.
Claudia Ashrae
Oh, no. I was having one of those nights where I was so tired but couldn't fall asleep and just having my best ideas, like inviting you on.
Jackie
Love that.
Claudia Ashrae
Do you know though, when that happens? Like, you think of all the things.
Jackie
Yeah, but I never do them. I just forget them. Like I do.
Claudia Ashrae
You're like, I'll wait till the morning.
Podcast Announcer
Yeah.
Jackie
I'm like, I'll remember in the morning.
Claudia Ashrae
No. So I'm like, you gotta do it.
Jackie
Do you have another pillow?
Claudia Ashrae
Do you want mine?
Jackie
No.
Claudia Ashrae
You sure? Yeah, you're my guest.
Jackie
Okay. Thank you.
Claudia Ashrae
Take it. I know you're no. Was like, you're no.
Jackie
I'm so short. Like, my feet never hit the ground. It's, like, embarrassing.
Amanda Hirsch
Open luck.
Claudia Ashrae
Mine don't either. Really? How are you? I'm good.
Jackie
How are you? I'm feeling that skinny, but not bad, babe.
Claudia Ashrae
You came on maybe, like, Covid zoom.
Jackie
Because I think the time I was on your podcast, we were at both at home, right?
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah, it was Covid Zoom. I don't even know what we talked about. Probably.
Jackie
We're probably hilarious, honestly.
Claudia Ashrae
No, we're probably really cute.
Jackie
Jackie wanted me to ask you because I find that you and I are in, like, similar situations with our usernames.
Claudia Ashrae
No, no. That's so funny. Somebody DM me that.
Jackie
That you talked about on the podcast.
Claudia Ashrae
No, but I swear to God, will you believe me that I was thinking about our interview, like, all week, and I was like, I want to ask her this question about handles, because I felt that too.
Jackie
And I want to ask you Jackie.
Claudia Ashrae
And then I'm getting messages like, claudia talked about this on the pod. And I was like, no, no, it's already on my notes app. Like, I want to talk to you about it.
Jackie
So I would love to know your personal journey with your username, because I love being girls. No job. I feel like so many people know it. I don't really feel any motivation to part with it. But Jackie's always encouraging me. She's like, you should just change your name to Claudia and what would you do?
Claudia Ashrae
But you have two accounts.
Jackie
I know, I know.
Claudia Ashrae
What would you do?
Jackie
Make one. And I would be like, Claudia. Claudia Ashrae. Like, just my name.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
That's just so unexciting to me. I don't know. I have no plans.
Claudia Ashrae
Okay, this is. We need to go deep here.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia Ashrae
So when you were girl with girl with no job, you started with memes.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia Ashrae
Which, by the way, I came after you. I came after you. Fuck Jerry. All the names. Hence my dumb name.
Jackie
Yeah, that's just.
Claudia Ashrae
Well, that's. But that's it. Like, when people ask me about the name, I was like, let me take you back to 2015.
Jackie
That's interesting.
Claudia Ashrae
Everybody had these names.
Jackie
It's true. And a lot of people have shed them. Like, we were talking on the podcast, like, something Navy. She's Ariel Charnist now. Like, there are people who have successfully,
Claudia Ashrae
I think something maybe also, like, clothes.
Jackie
I know. You know, but she did successfully become Ariel. Like, everybody calls her now Arielle.
Claudia Ashrae
Oh. Because people called her something Navy before. Didn't you post that? Somebody thought you were something.
Jackie
Oh, my God. Somebody thought it was Something. Maybe in the park. I felt so skinny. Like, it was. They were like, oh, my God, something navy. They obviously just got their, like, Jewish brunette New York City influencers confused. But I was just happy that she thought I was something.
Claudia Ashrae
Maybe. No, but this is. Okay, so what I was gonna say is, like, you are different than me a little bit because you. Your podcast is the toast.
Jackie
It's called something different.
Claudia Ashrae
You have nothing girl with no job
Jackie
vibes anymore, but your whole brand, like, your mic, flag your car, it's everything. So how do you feel about notes?
Claudia Ashrae
I don't want to start a new Instagram. Like, a separate Instagram. Like, I'm not in that phase. No, you would have to change. I would just. The only thing I could do would be Amanda Hirsch and then, like, hashtag, not scamming a fat podcast.
Jackie
If you. Okay, if you changed your username, you would also have to change the name of your podcast.
Claudia Ashrae
Why?
Jackie
Because, like, you're not going to be not skinny enough that anymore.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Jackie
You'd have to do a whole rebrand. I'm not suggesting that, but I'm just saying if you're going to change it, you have to go all in.
Claudia Ashrae
I mean, sometimes I do. Like, my name is dumber than your name for sure. On the level of, like, dumb dance. You know what I mean? Like, mine is like, what is happening? Yeah. You know, like, and if actors are getting pitched this pot and they don't know me, are they, like. Are they, like, am I going on a weight loss?
Jackie
Do you think that Ryan Reynolds, like, when he got the brief, was he, like, so confused?
Claudia Ashrae
I feel like if they don't know me, then they're probably confused.
Jackie
A lot of people do know you. They're probably following or like, sometimes.
Claudia Ashrae
Right, Right. It's only getting the publicist really like
Jackie
you is half the battle.
Claudia Ashrae
It's half the battle. I actually get jealous of you because I feel like because you don't interview, you can say whatever the you want.
Jackie
I know.
Claudia Ashrae
Which used to be me.
Jackie
Yeah, I know.
Claudia Ashrae
Because you don't need to. Like, I feel like I want to say whatever I want, but then what if I want.
Jackie
Yeah, of course. No, that's so.
Claudia Ashrae
However, a lot of times I say, but you won't want them in the pod because you don't like that feeling. Because if so talk shit about whoever you genuinely wouldn't want on the pod.
Jackie
That's not the reason that we don't have guests, but it's a huge benefit. Right? Like, we didn't want to Be an interview show. There's so many of them that do it quite well. And I think that because we're daily, like, it's just not feasible that we have that many guests.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
And we really wanted people to, like, tune into the show for us. Not, like, oh, it's a great guest. We have a million downloads one episode and three downloads the next.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
So we intentionally did it for that reason. But a side benefit is that we do get to say, but it doesn't stop people from, like, sliding into the DMs, like, hating a clip or leaving a mean comment.
Claudia Ashrae
Well, that's what I wanted to ask you. Like, do you get, like, the people that you're talking about?
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia Ashrae
Coming in.
Jackie
Yeah, it just happened with Michaela from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Claudia Ashrae
With the.
Jackie
With Jace, her husband.
Claudia Ashrae
Oh, she was defending the Hus. Yeah.
Jackie
And it's.
Claudia Ashrae
You made him the dick of the week or something.
Jackie
We have Queenie and weenie of the week. We just, like, don't like him. Mostly because of what he does. Like, he puts himself out on the show and they both. And it's like, I hate when people put their husbands. Like, make their husbands out to be the villain and then get mad at people for, like, hating. You made him the villain. You told us that he wants to have sex with you even though you have childhood trauma that you can't heal from. Like, you made him the weenie, not me. I'm just receiving what you're giving us. So it does happen that people will, like, engage.
Claudia Ashrae
Did you talk to her?
Jackie
No, she just left a comment, and we wanted to die. Like, we didn't do anything about it.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, dm.
Jackie
No, see, like I said, like, I'm not sorry.
Claudia Ashrae
I would get, like. You know what I mean?
Jackie
Like, it's easy to do that, but when you don't have to rely, like, you would then maybe one day want Michaela on the podcast. She's coming up.
Claudia Ashrae
That's the example. You would want Michaela. She would not come.
Jackie
It was the most recent. But, like, you would, like, she's a good interview. She's a good get. And that's just not a concern for us, thank God. So it was just, like, awkward, and we wanted to die. Like, our buttholes were clenched.
Claudia Ashrae
Or even Ryan Reynolds, by the way, we're talking about, like, I interviewed him three days before. Oh, I called. Like, but when people are like, you had Ryan. I'm like, before.
Jackie
You know, that's so funny. Do people, like, conspiracy theorize about you? Because, like, he Follows on Instagram like
Claudia Ashrae
advertisement mobile because they, like, pay.
Jackie
Well, that's what I was saying about the vials too. Natalie and Nick, yeah, they. They have similar takes on the situation. To me, we're both like, a little more team lively and they're which, like,
Claudia Ashrae
hashtag, you're so
Jackie
extremely brave. I want like a purple Heart. I'm so brave. Yet they also have Mint Mobile as a sponsor of their podcast, which I think is a company that Ryan Reynolds once invested in.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
So the people like on Conspiracy Theory. Well, they have Mint Mobile. Yeah, I'm sure you get that too.
Claudia Ashrae
No, I also have mobile and Ryan.
Jackie
Oh, you're such an op.
Claudia Ashrae
You're, by the way, like Ryan, do you. Part of like I am. I know we're not allowed to use this word.
Amanda Hirsch
People make fun of it.
Claudia Ashrae
But like an empath. So, like, yeah, I'll always feel for the person being always dragged.
Jackie
And I'm sure you've been dragged in your life as an Internet person. So have I. So it's always my. I don't know if it's. I'm an empath. I just like, use my own human lived experience to be like, well, nobody deserves that. No matter what you think, nobody deserves that.
Claudia Ashrae
But like the Internet, just like the way I say it is like shooting these people on the street like you would if you saw them, by the way you're commenting, you would want to murder, execute this person.
Jackie
It's not that serious most of the time.
Claudia Ashrae
But don't you feel bad for Blake? Like, I feel so bad for her because, like, to me, I call it. I called her an untouchable before this happened. I thought she was one of those people and I used to make fun of her, like, style.
Jackie
Oh, my God. I just want to say it's worth mentioning, I really did not like both Blake and Ryan before this whole saga. I still don't like them per se. Like, I think Ryan's digital footprint is so annoying.
Claudia Ashrae
They would be so excited about you defending them. And then you're ruining it with this I'm just thing.
Jackie
And this is like, makes my. My case like a little bit more. I'm not even a lifelong fan. I never understood why Taylor and her were friends. Like, I thought his, like, Instagram shtick of like my wife. I cut her out of the picture. Like, it's so fudgeing annoying. I hate that shit. So I'm not even like a lifelong fan. I just, like, see everyone descending upon her and I feel like it's wrong. But nobody Wants to hear what I have to say about Blake and Ryan. Like, do you think I get the most hate for it?
Claudia Ashrae
Do you care? Like, how involved are you in the case?
Jackie
So I'm not. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not reading every. Like, I have no idea what the deals are. I know I don't read the depositions. I just best. I base it more on, like, public opinion. And I think it's so easy. It's so quick. You could never get the entire world to turn on a man like this, like, ever, the way that everyone. All these brands are, like, making memes. Everyone's like, that would never happen. That would just never happen to a man. Not to be one of those.
Claudia Ashrae
But I know the thing is, I'm kind of becoming one of those, too.
Jackie
I am becoming.
Claudia Ashrae
Stop pitting girls again, even with the elites, by the way, I thought you call it slacks. So I have a, like, dyslexia, I think. And I've called Alex Earl. Alix Earl.
Jackie
Oh. I mean, that it makes it easier to talk about the two separately. But, yes, it's the exact same thing with Alex Cooper. I feel like if you want to, you know, go back in her history and find things that she did wrong, sure. You could never get everyone to turn on, like, a Jay Shetty like this or whatever. The. The equivalent armchair.
Claudia Ashrae
No, but Nick Viall. Yeah.
Jackie
That's not the equivalent. They're not, I don't think, operating on the same level. Like, when I think of the male Alex Cooper, it's probably like, what's his name? Dax Shepard or.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah, yeah, Dax Shepard, too.
Jackie
Yeah. But the whole world doesn't turn on him. It doesn't become the biggest news story in the world. And it's like, yeah, the whole article about her workplace was her husband yelling at people, but now it's like, alex Cooper.
Claudia Ashrae
I did hear, by the way, there is another article coming. Have you heard about this?
Jackie
Vanity Fair, Right?
Claudia Ashrae
Where is it?
Jackie
I did hear that they were, like, interviewing people that we know in the circle.
Claudia Ashrae
By the way, when we say we heard, like, that means, like, it's fact. It's fucking. It's a fact.
Jackie
When I say I heard, it either means it's fact or I read it in the TikTok comment section.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, that's all about the TikTok.
Jackie
It's in. People know about this.
Claudia Ashrae
They know about it.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia Ashrae
They're probably doing everything they can to stop it.
Jackie
It's also been in the works, according to, you know, people that I talk to. It's been in the works for a while before this Alix Earl thing. I think maybe the Alex Earl thing has expedited.
Claudia Ashrae
They want to take advantage care that much about it being the husband. Do you get what I mean?
Jackie
Less interesting.
Claudia Ashrae
Like it wouldn't be. It would be like the husband sucks. By the way, I had heard the husband sucks anyway because he was married to Claire Holt who's an actress that I love. H2O, right?
Jackie
No.
Claudia Ashrae
Which we made her do when she came on.
Jackie
Oh, I'm dying. Does she know the lore?
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
Good.
Amanda Hirsch
She was married to him and Aaron
Claudia Ashrae
Foster dated him and those are two women that I really love and they both agree things to say.
Jackie
Right? Yeah.
Claudia Ashrae
So I kind of always knew that. But yeah, I feel like it wouldn't be as. Which goes with what you're saying.
Amanda Hirsch
We love to hate on women.
Jackie
We do. Nobody hates women more than women. I don't know if you were following acquired styles. Bachelorette party.
Claudia Ashrae
Were you?
Jackie
She's a tick tocker who got her whole bachelorette party sponsored and like an insane trip. This company, it's a brand new beauty company called Swan Beauty, they sponsored her bachelorette party. They flew all these girls private to St. Bart's for the weekend. Stayed in this insane villa. And when I say flew private like like Drake level, It's like a 747 has like a bedroom in the back. It was insane.
Claudia Ashrae
Wait, what brand did it?
Jackie
Swan Beauty. It's a new AI makeup mirror with like, you know, the lights, like the makeup mirrors that have like the beauty lights. And it has. It's like peloton where you have makeup tutorials. It'll like show you what to put on your face. It's like this really high tech mirror and they sponsored the whole. It was the most insane trip this people were dying over the jet. I've actually never. It's like bigger than Kim Air. Yeah. Bigger than Kylie Air. Yeah. And it looked like our first one. And the second she started posting like of course these jealous bitches being like. Like this is so out of touch or oh my God, the jet fuel. I'm so glad this wasn't my bachelorette party. Like influencer, influencer. Meanwhile so fucking jealous. And it became this whole like big story. My whole for you page over the weekend was talking about this girl's bachelorette party. Meanwhile this is just a normal girl who worked really hard and you know she has a killer business now she makes.
Claudia Ashrae
She must be raking like so supportive.
Jackie
I hate that the Internet has made me into a woman who supports other women. Because people who say that they. I have downright. I have said my whole life, I know, I've seen. I do not blindly support. Some of the nastiest bitches I've ever met were women. Just because you're a woman, you do not have my support. I think most of you are extremely fudgeing sinister.
Claudia Ashrae
Honestly, I hate that the Internet made
Jackie
me because it's always these people who like wear T shirts that are like, the future is female and they hate women. Like, they turn on each other. And I'm like, I actually am a woman who supports other women.
Claudia Ashrae
And also like, would you want that Bachelorette?
Jackie
Obviously, people being like, I'm so glad this wasn't mine. Oh, okay, yeah, keep telling yourself that. I had a sponsored bachelorette party back in the day. My whole bachelorette party was sponsored by MGM because we went to Vegas. MGM owns the entire strip. When I tell you we did not lift a finger. Dinner reservations poolside. We were like, we had this fifty thousand dollar table at Siesto Wet Republic. Like, and this was like, how much
Claudia Ashrae
did you tag and post? And I don't even think there were that many requirements.
Jackie
And I did it because it was like so easy and fun. And I saw a lot of people, you know, they probably didn't even have that much fun. They had to like post and make content. That's just not true. They were having so much fun for free. Like, stop being fun. Everyone is just jealous. I think that's also a huge factor in the Alex Cooper debacle is that, like, people are really excited that like her moment is coming. Like, she's getting canceled. A lot of that is fueled by jealousy.
Claudia Ashrae
People make gossip not fun. Like, when I saw her video, I like, I got. I was like, you know, you know,
Jackie
also like people that we know and
Claudia Ashrae
enjoy and, and like, I would, I would enjoy this battle, like to talk about it, see what's happening. But yes, people that get like, way too, you know, involved and want to know, like, what they did in the past that can get them canceled or whatever.
Jackie
Going back through someone's entire digital footprint and looking for me. So annoying.
Claudia Ashrae
And didn't you say people are starting to say, like, I flew with Alex Earl?
Jackie
Yeah. No. And now it's like, one time I saw her on a train and she gave me a dirty look.
Claudia Ashrae
No, babe, this flight attendant, literally, I
Jackie
served both Alex Cooper and Alex Earl united Miami to la. And Alex Earl, like, gave me a hug because my grandpa died. Like, it was just Absurd. Like, I also, I hate stuff like that. When you go back and comb through someone's entire digital for people are people, they're obviously not gonna have positive moments.
Claudia Ashrae
Do you think this connects to. And this is just me thinking now because I also find it fascinating our obsession with scorned women being elevated and blowing up the way they are.
Jackie
Automatics.
Amanda Hirsch
Yes.
Claudia Ashrae
So is that the like, is that like, that's like we can only really support when you're in the. And then we really want you to succeed.
Jackie
So I have a really big problem with like the whole Arianimatics thing because, you know, Amanda Batula was on her way to being that. And it's like, you know, you get scorned by a man, a man who we all knew. Like we knew Tom Sandoval from the second Vanderpump. He is a bad guy. Like I could have told you that. But no, we had to watch you for eight seasons tell us how great he was and then, oh my God, he cheated on you with your best friend. So surprised. And now we're supposed to like lift you up. Girl, I could have told you that. The same with Amanda. Like, oh, you were in this atrocious marriage for 10 years. Like we watched him cheat on you. We watched him go to girls apartments and then you leave him and we're supposed to be celebrating. It's like, well, you're the one who made bad choices. Like, why are you now our queen?
Claudia Ashrae
Why? But why? Why then what? And we did we always have this. I feel like we, we didn't. Oh, like the Ariana trajectory, that's now like a thing.
Jackie
Sierra's on it now.
Claudia Ashrae
Sierra's fucking.
Jackie
She's a deserving queen. Like, like, yes.
Claudia Ashrae
I don't care where it deserves it. I think I don't want to say more than Ariana. What I did say about Ariana was like, Ariana said this about herself.
Amanda Hirsch
I remember she had come on the pod before the thing happened.
Claudia Ashrae
And a lot of seasons she was kind of side character vibes. Like, nobody care.
Jackie
That was generous of you. Like, nobody had less of a cultural impact than Ariana Maddox. And it's insane that she's the most successful person from that show.
Claudia Ashrae
Right.
Jackie
She did not bleed out. When you think of what Stassi, what everybody. Kristen Doty. What? All these people bled out on this season one when they were poor.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
And like Ariana was seriously like so unimpactful. And now she's the most famous one. It's actually remarkable.
Claudia Ashrae
Right? It's all because she got cheated on and all because she got cheated on.
Jackie
It's insane.
Claudia Ashrae
It's insane.
Jackie
And I do think she sort of invented the, the.
Claudia Ashrae
The.
Jackie
The trajectory genre. Yeah. Because. Yes. Sierra, Amanda. It's like a Bravo thing. Lindsay Hubbard.
Amanda Hirsch
I don't know.
Jackie
On a smaller scale. On a smaller scale.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah. One of the reality star friend that I know was like, I want my husband to cheat on me.
Jackie
Well, that's the other thing people want. Why can't we be lifting up women who are in marriages? You know, what about the women who are just happily married?
Claudia Ashrae
Right.
Jackie
Why can't they get the brand deals? You know, like, why do you have to be a scorned woman to me?
Claudia Ashrae
So that's my question, though. But that's my question.
Jackie
Less interesting, I guess.
Claudia Ashrae
It is.
Jackie
It is. But I'm okay. I take my shalom by like, I take that over a brand deal any day. You know what I mean?
Claudia Ashrae
We'll be right back after the break.
Amanda Hirsch
If there's one thing I feel like you should invest in is the place you spend most time in that is your bed. I feel like people will spend money on clothes or on food, like not even thinking about it twice.

Amanda Hirsch

Claudia Ashrae
Wait, what? You did get married young? We have the same. What age were you?
Jackie
I got engaged when I was 21 and we got married when I was 23.
Claudia Ashrae
Okay. That is okay. You could legit say child bride.
Jackie
Yes. And I do say child bride.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
And I will say, I say it
Claudia Ashrae
at 27, but it feels that way.
Jackie
I don't recommend, like I had an amazing experience, but I do feel like that's sort of the outlier maybe, like because I feel now when I. And I feel now as a woman of a certain age, I won't, I won't say what that age is. I feel very sure of myself. Like I really know who I am. And I don't think that was the case when I got married.
Claudia Ashrae
Right.
Jackie
And it took me and I really thought I did. I thought I knew everything, of course. But I'm so different, like I really am so different than the girl that Ben married. And it's very possible I could have, you know, grown into somebody that like, wasn't compatible with Ben. And the same goes for him. He was young too. He was 25. Like, so he could have turned into somebody I didn't really. Like, we're both so different. Like, you choose to grow together, but sometimes you just really don't. And so I feel like it really worked out for me, but I wouldn't recommend it. I do feel like we're more of an exception than the rule.
Claudia Ashrae
I agree. I agree.
Jackie
Like, I'm so different. Oh, my.
Claudia Ashrae
Who even knows who we were?
Jackie
When I watch Instagram stories, like, my Snapchat, when I. Oh, my God. Like. Like, who the is that? Like, I do not relate to that person at all. I feel so different from, like, the girl that I used to be. Honestly.
Claudia Ashrae
I mean, the 30s really are the decade of, like, knowing who you are vibes way more than you did.
Jackie
Yeah. And I remember when I was younger, like, the car, the Kardashians, like, used to say that, and Because I feel like I've watched them through their 30s and their 40s, and they used to say how much they, like, loved being 30, and it felt so to me, I'm like, I never want to be 30. Like, honestly, that is so old. But now I look back and I'm like, I see these young girls. I'm, like, so glad that's not me. I'm tired. My back hurts. I feel very, like, happy where I'm at, honestly.
Claudia Ashrae
Speaking of the Kardashians and age, Courtney just celebrated 48 years old.
Jackie
That's so crazy.
Claudia Ashrae
Crazy, babe.
Jackie
Courtney is so good.
Claudia Ashrae
Age of, like, Chris, when we met, we started.
Jackie
They've been famous for so long.
Claudia Ashrae
Okay, so. But this is another thing I have questions about.
Amanda Hirsch
And, like, again, like, going back to me.
Claudia Ashrae
Kind of going back to me, like, interviewing back to me, like, is, like, I sometimes. Because, like, Kim follows me.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia Ashrae
I'm like, is she mad I'm not posting about her and Lewis Hamilton?
Jackie
What are your thoughts on that?
Claudia Ashrae
So here are my thoughts. Why does no one care?
Jackie
Because it's not interesting.
Claudia Ashrae
Nobody.
Jackie
Nobody cares cares.
Claudia Ashrae
And it was boggling my mind. Like, she's, like, trying to hide herself at Coachella.
Jackie
You don't need to hide. We don't care why.
Claudia Ashrae
Okay, so what's your theory? Why does nobody care?
Jackie
I think it's, like, such an uninteresting choice. He's so obvious. Right? He's, like, the most famous rich athlete. Like, okay, like, I just want somebody to surprise me every once in a while. Like, date someone ugly.
Claudia Ashrae
Pete was almost shocking.
Jackie
Yeah. And I think there was also just a lot date somebody ugly. Like, it's kind of how, like, you know, everybody dates Tom Brady. It's like, okay.
Claudia Ashrae
Right.
Jackie
Tom Brady just keeps dating models. Like, what if you dated, like, somebody ugly?
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah, just.
Jackie
That would surprise me. That would make me think a lot of you, honestly. And just nobody surprises me anymore. And the Kim Lewis Hamilton thing is just, like, so obvious.
Claudia Ashrae
Nobody cares. I feel like media outlets don't care.
Jackie
She's paparazzi herself. I'm telling you, nobody cares.
Claudia Ashrae
But can I. I don't you think, as we know, Kim, it's bothering her. She's. She's dying. Yeah, I think she's dying. And that's why I had this thought, like I told you, I get thoughts late at night, at midnight, and when I try to go to sleep. And I was like, is there a world where Kim is, like, going through my stories, being like, why the. Isn't she. Why. You know, she used to post about.
Jackie
Right.
Claudia Ashrae
My. My thing every day.
Jackie
Well, she's just not in that era right now. She's in her mogul era.
Claudia Ashrae
I don't think she would choose. I think that if she knew mogul era, slash TV actress era meant no more most famous person on the Internet, she would not want that.
Jackie
Well, I do think. And this is going to be like, me being toxic, pitting women against women, but that's what I do.
Claudia Ashrae
Kylie.
Jackie
No.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh.
Jackie
I do think that there really can't be a shared moment between Taylor and Kim. I think one of them is always, like, right, like, having a moment. And I think it's kind of been like, the Taylor years for, like, the last two, three years between her and Travis. And I think, like, one sort of has to take a back seat to the other. It's the way that, like, Taylor doesn't go to the Met Gala ever, because it's like the Kardashian sphere. We really do think that. I think that, like, people can't. You, like, they just both can't have a moment. I really feel that, like, and I think there are years that are so, like, the Pete Davidson. Like, those two years, Kim was on fire. Taylor was very quiet. Now it's like Taylor and Travis in the Wedding. Like, I just think, like, and especially, like, in the last couple of years, so much news about celebrities, like, is around Taylor Swift. Like, she's just this, like, people orbit around her. And the Kardashians are completely erased from that narrative. Like, they're never in any. They don't go to the Eras tour, even though I know the kids are dying to go. Like, they can't really participate in half of pop culture because half of pop culture is Taylor Swift. That's how I feel.
Claudia Ashrae
But you love both now.
Jackie
I do.
Claudia Ashrae
Or do you have a team?
Jackie
I think if I were to have to choose, like, I would choose Taylor.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
And I don't even think I need to think on that. Like, I absolutely choose Taylor. There were a couple of years where I was, like, really divided. Like, I could not side, but now I'm like, no, I'm team Taylor. Like, not even in the Kanye thing, because I think you could argue both sides of that. Like, everyone was wrong, like, for real, but just in life, like, Taylor is my queen. So are you, like, a swifty hater?
Claudia Ashrae
No, no, no. Do I give that?
Jackie
Yes, definitely. But I think maybe it's more because you're so obsessed with Kim. That's just how I feel.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, see, you're pitted. You're, like, making it a thing.
Jackie
Yes. I'm sorry. I'm not making anything. It's a thing.
Claudia Ashrae
It's a thing. No, I'm not. I actually. I went to the Eras tour, and I loved it, and I love her music. I'm. I'm not, like, inspired by her style or, like, I think a lot of people are. Well, I'm not inspired by Kim. Perfect. I. You know, neither.
Jackie
Like, what's with the Balenciaga? Can I ask you that as, like, the Kim historian? Why can't Kim let go of Balenciaga?
Claudia Ashrae
Like, it's.
Jackie
She's a mom. She's such an advocate. Like, it's really gross because of the. The child thing and Hollywood in general. But I feel like Kim was the first one to, like, really? And then she, like, is obsessed with Demna and, like, followed him to Gucci. Like, why Hollywood, specifically the Kardashians, Why can't they let go of Valencia?
Claudia Ashrae
She has those hills that she's willing to die on that I don't get.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia Ashrae
You know, and I was like. I also question that. I forget about what. But she has other ones that she just.
Jackie
Yeah, she.
Claudia Ashrae
That she's like, I don't care what anybody thinks. I'm gonna keep doing this thing.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia Ashrae
And you're like, why would you do that?
Jackie
It's not even, like, the clothes are pretty. It's like leggings.
Claudia Ashrae
But, yeah, her style isn't close. Courtney had a amazing style era.
Amanda Hirsch
It's not now.
Claudia Ashrae
It was the units era.
Jackie
Yeah. Yeah.
Claudia Ashrae
I was just wonder if it's an age thing. Like, don't you wonder aging them out?
Jackie
I wonder if Kim. I mean, if Courtney is still breastfeeding. Do you think she Is. I do think so.
Claudia Ashrae
I do think she is. I think she's starting to get back to herself now. I think it took her a long
Jackie
time and she took a crunchy route for sure.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah, she's very. But. But she.
Jackie
Are you crunchy like at all with your kids?
Claudia Ashrae
Like, what I feed them and stuff?
Jackie
Just like. Like your maternal philosophy, like organic clothes, things like that?
Claudia Ashrae
No, organic.
Jackie
Plastic bottles.
Claudia Ashrae
Glass bottles.
Jackie
Glass bottles.
Claudia Ashrae
I mean, have.
Amanda Hirsch
Do plastic.
Claudia Ashrae
I'm actually not. My sister just had a baby and she's very like. I was like, can you just buy the honest wipes? Like, everything she's buying. Did she do like, the like ones probably from.
Jackie
Well, because, you know, Lauren Bosta came on the toast when I was on maternity leave and she kind of set the crunchy mama world in a tail spin because everybody uses this brand of wipes.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
And Lauren said she got her like, blood tested and that like, they found that like all this toxins were coming from that particular brand of wood wipes.
Claudia Ashrae
Even though it's 99 water.
Jackie
Allegedly.
Claudia Ashrae
Allegedly.
Jackie
So now I'm using coterie wipes and expensive.
Claudia Ashrae
Are you crunchy?
Jackie
You know what? I'm more crunchy than I thought I would be. Definitely.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Jackie
And yeah, I would say I am. And I don't apply to my own life. For me, I'm like scrolling till three in the morning. Like, everything I wear is made of plastic. Like. But no, we do organic clothes. We do glass bottles. I try not to use a microwave. Like, really crazy.
Claudia Ashrae
You try not to use the microwave?
Jackie
Yeah, the microwave.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, what's the deal with the microwave?
Jackie
Well, you know the iconic Lindsay Lohan movie Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, where like, her mom is like kind of like like tin foil hat and she doesn't use the microwave.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
I just feel like it doesn't emit good things and I don't like to heat up food for the kids, you
Claudia Ashrae
know, but you use the microwave.
Jackie
Yeah. Like, like I said, rules for thee, not for me. Like, I am toxic. Like, I made of plastic.
Claudia Ashrae
Wait, can you tell me a little bit about the masked singer experience?
Jackie
It was tough. It really was. It was.
Claudia Ashrae
When did you do. When did you film this?
Jackie
So when I was like four months postpartum.
Claudia Ashrae
What? I know this opportunity came out of nowhere.
Jackie
Came out of nowhere. And I don't know why. I just felt like I had to do it because, like, it's my. I love to sing. Like, I literally, if I could famous, if I was here singing, like, that would be my dream. And I You know, in this industry, you feel like if I don't take this opportunity, it'll never come again. And I did it and I just. I struggled.
Claudia Ashrae
Where did you have to go?
Jackie
La. I moved everyone to. Out to la. Like, it was really. It was hard. I was still breastfeeding.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
And it just. I should have just waited a year. I think they would have had me the next season.
Claudia Ashrae
Said just, yeah, I need time.
Jackie
But I just felt like. I just felt like I had to do it. And I couldn't tell if it was, like, the universe telling me to do it or not to do it, because the concept of being, like, hidden in a mask postpartum is a dream. Like, nobody needs to see what I look like. Right.
Claudia Ashrae
And so how sweaty is it in there?
Jackie
So hot. And you really have to get in it. I thought for sure. I'm like, there's no way Tiffany Haddish is in there. Like, we're obviously all like, no.
Claudia Ashrae
What did you. Wait, so what did you think that.
Jackie
I thought that you would, like, pre record and there was, like, a person in there. I'm like, there's no way they're putting celebrities in there there. No, you really are. And it's very warm.
Claudia Ashrae
Oh, wait, wait. What animal were you a corgi?
Jackie
And I will say everybody who worked on the show, any issue I had with this show was like my own personal journey. The people who worked there were wonderful, like, very understanding. Lots of, like, pregnant mamas, like, on the executive team who really helped me. Everybody who worked there was so nice and amazing. I didn't have. It wasn't like a toxic workplace. I just was in a bad head place.
Claudia Ashrae
Wait, you left?
Jackie
I did. I made the decision to, like, eliminate myself from the show because I just, like, I was really unhappy, like, living in la. Being postpartum. I didn't really struggle at all with, like, any sort of postpartum. I was really very, like, a very happy postpartum person. And I think, like, picking up everything and moving tail. I, like, set something off in me. And I started getting such battings. I've never had anxiety in my life. Like, my hands were tingling. Like, it was. It's. It set something off within me that, like, I never want to feel again. And I. I just, like, knew and I had, like. I have such an amazing, like. Like, agent, and it's. Everyone around me is a mom, so they were like, you. You don't have to do this. Like, we can help you. Yeah. And it was very refreshing because you're used to like, you know, Hollywood sets, like everybody, like, you know, not.
Claudia Ashrae
They're not used to it.
Jackie
You know, like you. There's a certain stereotype of people and how like, they don't care. Like, just go do your job.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
And I hate to like reneg on a commitment, but I was really, really unhappy. Like, I could not have lasted, I swear to God, one more minute.
Claudia Ashrae
And when you quit, did the anxiety and stuff.
Jackie
I don't like to say quit. I unmasked.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Jackie
When you. Yes.
Claudia Ashrae
When you. First of all, I think quit. If I could look back at situations
Amanda Hirsch
in my life that I didn't quit
Claudia Ashrae
when I should have quit, I'm like, yes to quitting.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
I will say the second I like left the stage for the last time, I. It was like, I don't know if I've ever been happier in my whole life. Like, for real, like, it. And the fact that I left on good terms with everyone. Like, I was obviously worried about like having a bad relationship with the network and just like being, you know, getting a reputation for like, you know, not finishing your commitments and. Because that's really not who I am. Like, I just do things even if I don't want to do them. But I. Everyone was so nice and I still like text all the people there and I think everybody was like happy with the performance and stuff. Like it couldn't have ended in a better way, honestly. And I feel like I was also able to like, I don't know, be an example to people. Like, when you become a mom, like, it's okay to just like, want to be a mom. Like, you have to like, keep being like, hustler. Hustler. Like, it's okay to take a minute and say no to stuff that like you might have. Have never said no to before.
Claudia Ashrae
You know, like, we hear so much like Hollywood, like, Mandy Moore goes back to work six weeks postpartum.
Jackie
And a lot of times that's not me.
Claudia Ashrae
And a lot of times we like kind of clap like women.
Jackie
Yeah, we're amazing.
Claudia Ashrae
We're amazing. But a lot of times I feel like it's also what you're saying, which is like, no, take a.
Jackie
They're all good.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
You know, you can take six weeks off of work and you can take six years off of work. Like, they're all good. But I just feel like I don't really hear people talking a lot about like. Like I feel like maybe it's like looked down upon to like have less ambition after you have a baby, but that's definitely been my journey. And I feel like the mas singer taught me, like, that's okay. Like, I'm. I'm less crazy. Like, I was really before. Like, hustler, hustler. Any opportunity, let's go here, let's go there. Let's do this. And now I have.
Claudia Ashrae
It puts things like, I don't need
Jackie
to be doing all of that. Like, and I really. I'm like. And I mean it when I say, like, I'm really okay with that.
Claudia Ashrae
I love that.
Jackie
It's okay.
Claudia Ashrae
I love that.
Amanda Hirsch
That.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah. I mean, I did have my, like,
Amanda Hirsch
year of yes moment.
Claudia Ashrae
But typically, at my core, that's who I am. To be very, like, content. Yeah. With what I. I think, like, I think contentment is, like, underrated.
Jackie
Inner peace.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah. Like, just to say, like, I'm actually good with how things are and I don't need to be like, exactly.
Jackie
You know, and I. I think, like, people always love to ask people what we do. Like, what's your five year plan? And, you know, maybe for a while I had one, but for now, like, if my five year plan is, like, if everything stays exactly the same, like, oh, my God, I'm so.
Amanda Hirsch
I love that.
Jackie
Like, I really want for nothing. And it was an amazing experience. It was so cool to be on TV singing, like, my dream.
Claudia Ashrae
People. People guessed it was you, right?
Jackie
I mean, a voice like this can't be mistaken.
Claudia Ashrae
Do. Is there, like, not regret, but, like, do you wonder how far you would have gotten?
Jackie
Yeah. Especially knowing who won the season. Ashley Simpson. Like, I feel like I could have made Wait.
Claudia Ashrae
Ashley Simpson won the season and Evan
Jackie
Ross was on it too. So, like, they competed against each other.
Claudia Ashrae
They know.
Jackie
Yeah, of course. I think.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah, I think.
Jackie
But yeah, there were people, like, I. I definitely would have made it pretty far. So a part of me does wish I just waited till I was in a better head.
Claudia Ashrae
And it's not something you can, like, do again, obviously, because then it's like, everyone knows. Yeah. No, but that's so funny. And to have that, like, under your belt is, like, something that you did
Jackie
now in hindsight, like, six months out, like, it's okay in the moment. I really was not okay.
Claudia Ashrae
Did the taking yourself out of there? Did the anxiety go away immediately? Amazing.
Jackie
Immediately.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah. Because I feel like, because you did
Amanda Hirsch
it right on time.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah. If you would. If you would have said, let me finish this with the shakes, with the whatever, you might have gotten stuck there a little.
Jackie
Like, Like, I've never had, like, such a physical manifestation of, like, my mental health. Like, I was getting stress headaches. Like, I had migraines for days. Especially, like, I found out in the summer that they offered it to me. And I didn't leave till October. And up until, I think I left on a Sunday, up until the Wednesday, I still wasn't decided. It was something I struggled with so much. Should I, should I, should I? And it really wore on me. And I just, I don't even know what I would do differently. And now I look back on the experience so positively. But that's why it's important to have mamas in places of power, because there were mamas who got me out. Like, they really did.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, they understood you. 100.
Jackie
I didn't have to explain why I was, like, having anxiety while breastfeeding in the trailer. Like, like, they just got it. I didn't have to explain.
Claudia Ashrae
We'll be right back after the break.
Amanda Hirsch
As I was saying in today's intro, I am not very good about supplements like vitamin C, vitamin D. What I am good about is neutrophil because I am vain and I want my hair to be great. I recommend it to my friends. I literally have friends. Like, I'm like, I don't want to, I don't know if I should tell them. But, like, I see the issues. Like, I see it. I'm like, oh, my God.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, I feel so bad that you're
Amanda Hirsch
in this situation and you're so neutrophil. Like, I literally shove it toward them because I'm like, there is a solution and thank God. Like, knock on wood, I feel like I'm in a good situation. I've also, like, made sure to take neutrophil, like, from the moment that I gave birth because they have a breastfeeding friendly postpartum formula. But, like, I see what happens, like, postpartum for women with hormonal changes and everything. And neutrophil is the number one dermatologist recommended hair growth supplement brand and the number one hair growth supplement brand personally used by dermatologists. Their hair growth supplements are peer reviewed, NSF certified for sport and clinically tested. So let your hair be one less thing you worry about. See visibly thicker, stronger, faster. I'm not gonna say I'm, like, not good at drinking water, but, like, water for me is like, get in that water, you know? So I'm like. I'm chugging along all day, however, with
Claudia Ashrae
meals with, like, a TV show, if I'm working on the computer and I
Amanda Hirsch
want to pop open a nice, fizzy, cold drink, I want spindrift. I have been such a fan of spin drift for years. I feel like before. Before other people, okay, I'm an og. I'm a pick me, call me what you want. But. But spindrift, you know, I'm always trying to be healthy. I'm always trying to, you know, pay attention to my sugar intake, carbs, stuff like that.
Claudia Ashrae
So I always look at that.
Amanda Hirsch
So from the beginning, I was like, spindrift is literally the best you can get in the realm of fizzy drinks, okay?
Claudia Ashrae
Like, the difference with spin drift is
Amanda Hirsch
they use real fruit for flavor, okay? It's not just static with fruit screaming from the other room.
Claudia Ashrae
Spindrift flavors have actual flavors.
Amanda Hirsch
It's also unsweetened.
Claudia Ashrae
No added sugar.
Amanda Hirsch
It's just a few calories from the real squeezed fruit.
Claudia Ashrae
Light, bubbly. I love all their flavors.
Amanda Hirsch
The lime is like my OG the lemon lime, the blue and the green. But cherry, their newest flavor. So freaking good. Island punch. Just so many flavors.
Claudia Ashrae
The grapefruit.
Amanda Hirsch
Pay attention to ingredients, okay? Like, taste plus ingredients equals perfection, and that is spindrift. My listeners can get 15 off their next order of Spindrift by visiting drink spindrift.com use code not skinny checkout for 15% off your site. Wide purchase. One use per customer. Valid through the end of 2026. Not valid on subscription orders. That's drink D R I N k Spin drift. S P I N D r I f t.com use code NOT skinny for 15% off your next order. I feel like we're all kind of living in a world where we don't want to have a hangover. Like, who wants to not feel good that next day? I feel like so many people maybe don't drink as much as they used to or, you know, as they grow up, they're like, I'm not gonna drink like I used to because I'm not gonna wake up feeling like poo the next day. And it's like, who would have sunk that in 2026? We would have a salulu to the hangalulo.
Claudia Ashrae
Okay, there's zebiotics today.
Amanda Hirsch
You guys see by addicts.
Claudia Ashrae
Have you heard about it?
Amanda Hirsch
Okay, you drink it before you drink. Drink then still drink responsibly and then
Claudia Ashrae
guess what you enjoy the next day. You wake up feeling refreshed and ready
Amanda Hirsch
to take on the day.
Claudia Ashrae
Zebiotics Pre alcohol probiotic drink is the
Amanda Hirsch
world's first genetically engineered probiotic. It was invented by PhD scientists to tackle rough mornings after drinking.
Claudia Ashrae
Here's how it works.
Amanda Hirsch
When you drink, alcohol gets converted into a toxic byproduct in the the gut. It's a buildup of this by byproduct, not dehydration like we've been told. That's to blame for rough days. After drinking, the pre alcohol produces an enzyme to break this bride product down.
Claudia Ashrae
So all you have to do is
Amanda Hirsch
remember to make pre alcohol your first drink of the night. Then drink responsibly and you'll feel your best tomorrow. From the first outdoor brunch of the year to the start of the wedding season and Memorial Day plans, May social calendar is officially non stop. Don't let one long night keep you from the rest of your week. Drink pre alcohol to stay on your game and make the most of every sunny Saturday. Remember to head to zbiotics.com not skinny and use the code not skinny at checkout for 15 off. And we're back.
Claudia Ashrae
Did you read Lena Dunham's new book?
Jackie
I didn't yet. Did you?
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Jackie
Really?
Claudia Ashrae
I listened. Are you a listener or a reader?
Jackie
I'm a reader. I have a very complex relationship with Lena.
Claudia Ashrae
Tell me. Because like, she's my. I don't know why I feel like, like, so when I say obsessed with her, it's like undermining it. Like I feel like I just. If she could speak to me all day.
Jackie
I definitely think she's a generational talent. Like absolutely. And I hate that she did this thing that I can't get over because I can't.
Amanda Hirsch
Which one of them she wrote an article about?
Jackie
When she was dating Jack Antonoff, who's Jewish, she wrote an article for like some fancy publication. It might have been like New Yorker or New York magazine. And it was like, like, who said it, my dog or my Jewish boyfriend? And it was so condescending. It was such a bad reflection on her and also on Jack Antonoff. Like, you let your girlfriend talk about you like that publicly? That I never forgot it. Like sometimes people do stuff and I forget.
Claudia Ashrae
Like you remember the moment.
Jackie
Like it was like, I can't get. I've hated her ever since then. Like for real.
Claudia Ashrae
And I Think that's the thing. Like, people hate Lena Dunham. I thought you were gonna say the article about her standing up for the sexual. Well, well, that.
Jackie
That's weird, sister. There's a lot of things for me, it's that. And it gets in the way of, like, I can't be objective about her. I can't be objective about girls. Like, I. It just makes me hate her so much. And I know deep within, like, a lot of what she writes about, like, girlhood, about fame, really resonates with me.
Claudia Ashrae
That's what I'm saying.
Jackie
But I can't get past the article. And if she were to apologize, that's all I want, I. I would be okay.
Claudia Ashrae
Because she, she. She has something she apologizes for in the book, which is like, she defended a writer from girls against a sexual assault allegation.
Jackie
Yikes.
Claudia Ashrae
That was her, like, kind of cancellation moment. So that when you said right about. I was like that. And you're like, no, Jewish.
Jackie
She also is an important figure in Taylor Swift. Her story. And my favorite Taylor Swift song, like one of my top 10, you're in love is actually written about her. And I'm like, oh, my favorite song.
Claudia Ashrae
She's best there. She was a bridesmaid in her into. In Alina's wedding. Interesting.
Jackie
And she writes really, like, beautifully about Taylor.
Claudia Ashrae
But then, like, Lena is best friends with Amrada, which, like, doesn't align for me.
Jackie
And Jack Antonoff cheated on her with Lord. Like, we were talking about this on the toast today. Like, Taylor's wedding is actually going to be just extremely awkward because, like, Zoe Kravitz and Harry Styles, like, probably are
Claudia Ashrae
going, okay, let's talk about them for a second. Wait, so finish. Why is it awkward?
Jackie
Because Lena Dunham dated Jack Antonov and he cheated on her. And Jack Antonoff is going to be at the wedding with his wife, Margaret Quaily, and his ex girlfriend, Linda Dunham will also be there.
Claudia Ashrae
Right.
Jackie
There's a lot of, like, wires being crossed.
Claudia Ashrae
So another couple I really don't care about is. Are Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitz.
Jackie
People do not like when I say this, but Harry Styles is not in. Is in his flop era. His album came and went so quickly. Like, made no impact on the music industry. I happen to really, like, be living for him and Zoe Kravitz, especially because I heard, and by heard, I mean TikTok comment section that they're getting engaged because he really wants a baby. And I just love, like, I need more people to have babies. I Need Taylor Swift to have a baby because, like, I need to write music about it so I can relate to it. Like, I selfishly. Like, I need all my people at
Claudia Ashrae
Wet Stand, but you're into them as a couple. You see photos of them holding hands on the Brooklyn Bridge, and it tickles
Jackie
your schnitzel more so than anyone he's ever been with.
Claudia Ashrae
Really.
Jackie
I think they're so cute. And she sounds like a great gal. Like, she was with Channing Tatum and
Claudia Ashrae
I loved, like, a hundred times.
Jackie
Okay, Love that. Like, seriously love that that. I love that. And I just want to say, like, because people used to say that about Taylor Shift. Like, she has a million boyfriends. And it's like, so would you if you would looked like that and like, you were famous. Like, if that was me, if I was Taylor Swift and, like, I'm this burgeoning young artist. I'm gorgeous. I'm skinny and blonde and tall. Everybody wants me. I would have had 10 times as many boyfriends as.
Claudia Ashrae
And, like, hotter.
Jackie
I would have dated every single person who would have gone on a date with me. Just for the story. Just right.
Amanda Hirsch
That is. Yeah.
Jackie
I kissed John Gyllenha, Jake Gyllenhaal. Like, I would date them all. I would take them all. And that's what Tony Kravitz is doing to anybody who's, like, hating on her. They're jealous.
Claudia Ashrae
See, Channing Tatum posted, like, a weird poem thing to his story.
Jackie
Yeah, I do think ch. I like Channing Tatum a lot, but I can definitely acknowledge that, like, he was probably the problem in that relationship.
Claudia Ashrae
I feel like he's just, like, a dud.
Jackie
I still ship him and Jessie J. I know she has moved on and, like, had a baby, but I thought they were such a cute.
Claudia Ashrae
That was cute.
Jackie
It was. It was so random.
Claudia Ashrae
It was. I know. I was king.
Jackie
Dr. Dre and Michelle from the Valley. I love random.
Claudia Ashrae
Wait, Dr. Dre. I feel like that was Dimwaze. Highest engagement post of the year.
Jackie
Just about died.
Claudia Ashrae
What? What was that?
Jackie
I have no idea. And Jackie, my sister on the podcast, said, do you remember, like, a season or two ago on the Valley when they were accusing Michelle of having, like, a billionaire boyfriend who, like, pays her bills? Yeah, maybe it was Dr. Dry.
Claudia Ashrae
He's looking good. He's looking.
Jackie
I would say he's looking good.
Claudia Ashrae
He's looking fat.
Jackie
It took me, like, 10 minutes to. To fully understand what I was looking at. It was. I was so confused.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, what is happening?
Jackie
Two people, like, who have probably never been in the same room. How do they even meet each other?
Claudia Ashrae
Are you watching the Valley?
Jackie
I'm not.
Claudia Ashrae
You're not.
Jackie
I know that, like, I, I, I was watching up until recently.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
So many of the characters are so unlikable. And I happen to think that Michelle's ex husband, Jesse is one of the most evil men to ever walk stage on Bravo.
Claudia Ashrae
He. So he gives you, like, evil vibes.
Jackie
I think that when we talk about, like, almost like Zach, Brian.
Claudia Ashrae
Right.
Jackie
Like these really abusive men. But it's not abuse that you can see.
Claudia Ashrae
Right.
Jackie
It's like, narcissistic. It's a verbal.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
I feel like he is probably one of the worst people you could ever be married to. And he's definitely the worst person you could be divorced from. Like, just his behavior and, like, using their kid.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
I just, I get such icky vibes. I love that she's with a billionaire. I know it's making him sick. I know it's making him sick that she's, like, in this big star billionaire relationship.
Amanda Hirsch
I love that.
Jackie
I hope that they are together forever just because I know it makes them sick.
Claudia Ashrae
Another thing we have to talk about. Did you see Westies eggplants, testies? Wesley's testes.
Jackie
I can't. I did. I did see it.
Claudia Ashrae
I did, too. How do you feel about it?
Jackie
So obviously I don't feel good. I don't even know what to say. Like, I feel so uncomfortable. I think that, like, when you think it's for sure him.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jackie
His face was in.
Claudia Ashrae
But what his face was in one. I can't remember. I'm me closing my eyes.
Jackie
I hate when things like this happen because now I'm going to be over here having to defend West. Like, no matter what someone does. Sending Nick and I. I did not send it to anyone. It came in my DMs. Like, I did not seek it out. I think when we get to a place, when we're sending around somebody's naked photos, imagine if this was a woman. Like, I'm sorry, I'm. Nobody deserves that. I don't care what you do unless you actually are a murderer. Like, I agree you he did something extremely, extremely unethical. But I hate when we get to this place, like, stop sending people's naked pictures around.
Claudia Ashrae
But what is he doing sending his, his naked pictures?
Jackie
These, like, short bravo liberties. Like, they think they're so hot. They think they're untouchable, unfin, touchable. And he thinks that he's hot because only somebody who thinks that they're like extremely good looking. Takes a picture like that. I would never. Like, I would never.
Claudia Ashrae
It is a wild picture to take. But I think also if you're a, A, you know, a Bravo Liberty, you shouldn't be sending your dick pics, especially
Jackie
with your face in it, because it could be anyone. Until I saw your face.
Claudia Ashrae
I'm trying to remember the face. I was focusing on a lot of other things happening there.
Jackie
There was a lot going on.
Claudia Ashrae
There was a lot going on.
Jackie
But I just, I don't, I don't endorse that. Like, that's so wrong.
Claudia Ashrae
I like your level headed because again with the murder on the street, like, what they did was awful. There's no, no one's like, team Amanda and Wes. Like, that doesn't exist.
Jackie
Like, they're getting it enough.
Claudia Ashrae
They're getting it enough where we don't have to. Like, like, again, people are going back. I loved when you said that, by the way.
Jackie
Yeah. Like, I've always.
Claudia Ashrae
By the way. She wasn't untouchable. Everyone was like, you're Haley Bieber. She would post photo dumps and wearing
Jackie
T shirts being like, this is the sickest outfit I've ever seen in my whole life.
Claudia Ashrae
People were upset.
Jackie
People like, she has better fashion than Paige. Like, she doesn't.
Claudia Ashrae
People were obsessed with Amanda. She could do no wrong. So I loved when you said that, that it's like, don't come out of
Jackie
the woodwork at the time. Like, seriously. Shut up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Another thing just on the naked picture thing is an. An element of this story is that there was a video. That's how Sierra found out. I think we'll get the timeline on the reunion. But what I had heard, which is I believe the truth is that somebody had gotten a video of Amanda and West and that's how Sierra found out.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
And the video was like taken in a really intimate situation without their knowledge.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
And while, yes, they're bad, they're evil. They did something really bad. Like, that's not okay. You can't. I can't film.
Claudia Ashrae
What do you think? What do you think?
Jackie
Like, what I had heard was that they were, you know, getting it on with one another in one of their apartments. I don't know who.
Claudia Ashrae
Somebody's in the window.
Jackie
Somebody who like, lives across the street. Like, and they must know that, like, you know, west or Amanda from somewhere else lives across the street. And so like just got lucky and, and saw it at the right time. But that's what I had heard. And that's just also like, sorry, you're gonna make me sit over here and defend Amanda. Like that's an incredible invasion of privacy. You can't do that.
Claudia Ashrae
You can't do that no matter what they're doing, doing.
Jackie
So I hate when people make me defend people. But like, look, this is what I'm doing. I'm a woman who supports other women whether I like it or not.
Claudia Ashrae
But it's, but it's true. And I. And I. Don't you feel like if everyone was like you, then it would just be. You know what I mean? Like, yes.
Jackie
What a great world that would be.
Claudia Ashrae
What a great world that would be. If we were all normal and level headed, weren't looking to like take away all her money and brand deals and cancel on. That's why I got pissed. There was some company.
Jackie
Yeah, I thought that was really lame.
Claudia Ashrae
I saw. I and I especially because it was
Jackie
a campaign that had like a cause behind it. It was like all about like, you know, medicine.
Claudia Ashrae
Take her off. But don't write like we've replaced the model.
Jackie
Like, remember when Wendy's like made fun of Katy Perry for like going to space? Like I hate when brands get involved. It's like bullying but making.
Claudia Ashrae
Wait, are you a Carrie? A Katy Perry?
Amanda Hirsch
Stan?
Jackie
No, I.
Claudia Ashrae
A defender?
Jackie
No, no. I think. Think people were really hard on her with like the whole thing. She's weird. Like I get like she's definitely weird.
Claudia Ashrae
And that.
Jackie
What's her name? Ruby Rose.
Claudia Ashrae
Oh yeah. That was really. What did she like, she accused Katy
Jackie
Perry like sexual assault and like Ruby
Claudia Ashrae
Rose is a little.
Jackie
But I was gonna say she accused Katy Perry of taking her underwear off and rubbing her vagina on Ruby Rose's face. Like that's what the.
Claudia Ashrae
What do you think of the Kyle of it all? Cuz you guys got a little triangle with Kyle.
Jackie
You were talking about Richard. I know.
Claudia Ashrae
Do you think what he's doing now with the face to camera lean ins of like support lover boy. By the way, everyone's supporting. My followers are sending me. I got all the Carls.
Jackie
I'm cracking.
Claudia Ashrae
I'm like, I thought you were normal.
Jackie
So yeah, I obviously hate Kyle Cook. He is my personal nemesis. But one of my favorite Taylor Swift lyrics.
Claudia Ashrae
Then he called my husband a liar
Jackie
on national television and he lied like about this. Right? Like my. You, anyone who's met my husband, he's a lot of things. He's not a liar. He's like such a good guy and I will hate him forever because of that. He's never apologized. And he, like, loves to tell people that. That we know mutually being, like, I love Dragon glitter. They're so great. Well, we hate you. Like, we literally hate you. You owe me an apology. And I have said if you apologize to Ben, we're good. We are good. So I. Everything I say about Kyle, like, has that lens. I'm going to acknowledge my own bias here. Yeah. I think the content about, like, come with me to save my business is losery. I think he made such poor financial decisions, like, taking out personal loans. Like, you're married. You're wanting to start a family, and you're doing things like that. Like, please, you're not a serious person.
Claudia Ashrae
It's also weird, kind of to, like, try to get your company to succeed by talking about it. Makes me kind of not want to drink it.
Jackie
Of course I'm not going to place an order. It sounds like you can't even fulfill it. Like, no, I certainly am not shopping, lover boy. But you can shop. Spritz society.
Claudia Ashrae
Did you see the video of Addison Rae and Madonna?
Jackie
Of course.
Claudia Ashrae
Whoa.
Jackie
Madonna hates Addison Rae. Okay, so I feel like we're on the same page. Like, when Addison was launching her music career.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
You say you're obsessed with, like, the best song ever made.
Claudia Ashrae
Babe, the bet. Noah was born at that time. It was his song because I listened
Amanda Hirsch
to it so much.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, they send me Obsessed merch because I was so obsessed with the song ever. And I saw her in the trajectory.
Jackie
Yes, of course.
Claudia Ashrae
Brittany.
Jackie
Pop star Sabrina Carpenter. Like, and then she took a break because I think people didn't respond to the music as she had hoped. And she went very, like, Charlie xcx. Like, club Rat. I have no. I do not understand her music at all. It's not for me. I don't understand the outfits. Like, I don't understand the sound. I literally don't get it, so. But people love it. Like, I feel like the gay community really responds to it. I don't get it at all. I can acknowledge the fact that it's not for me. It's just not what I had hoped for. My girl, you know, like, my queen.
Claudia Ashrae
But then, like, if it was only me and you loving Obsessed, you know, it's a problem.
Jackie
And, like, you and I love a song. That means it's probably not the best. Like, I can acknowledge that. Even though Obsessed will go down as one of the greatest pop hits.
Claudia Ashrae
By the way, the music video. I thought it was all so good. I'm so like, Addison, you should have stayed on that trajectory.
Jackie
Yeah.
Claudia Ashrae
She got a movie role at that time.
Jackie
She's all that, right on Netflix. She released another song that, like, nobody ever cared about this. Sex Die For, Baby, I Want Something to Die For. And it was literally like an old Lady Gaga song that Gaga never released. And so Addison recorded, like, this new
Claudia Ashrae
music and the outfits and the nakedness, very avant garde.
Jackie
Like, I don't get it.
Claudia Ashrae
Very grungy.
Jackie
Very grungy, Very underground. I think I hate it.
Claudia Ashrae
Maybe she's trying to just take a, like, a full left from, like, what she was like.
Jackie
Tick Tock.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah, from the Tik Tok. And it's like, don't.
Jackie
It's fine.
Claudia Ashrae
Don't. Like, what did. Was fine. I'm not as much as you.
Jackie
I love Tik Tok.
Claudia Ashrae
You love. That's, like, your new spot.
Jackie
No, no, no, no. Like, I'll always be, like, an Instagram girl, babe.
Claudia Ashrae
We didn't decide on what we're doing about our handles. Wait, so what is. What is Jackie's opinion about me?
Jackie
Me? I think she. I haven't asked her, but, like, I
Claudia Ashrae
think she just wants to know.
Jackie
Yeah, she wants to know how you feel about it, but also, I think that if you were to change it, she would recommend that you have to change everything, because not giving off that only makes sense as a podcast name. Because it's your name, right? It's not your name anymore. What's a podcast? It's not like you're doing, like, a podcast about dieting.
Claudia Ashrae
Like, you have to change both or none. Are you gonna change yours?
Jackie
I'm not.
Claudia Ashrae
Ever.
Jackie
I have no plans to. I love being girl with no job. Especially like. Like, you know, I try to cover all my demographics, and that's why I'm on Tick Tock. You know, the young kids, whenever I meet, like, a somebody on the street and they're like, I love your Tick Tock. I feel, like, seriously, like, insane. But then, you know, I'll, like, be a shul and I'll meet, like, older women, and they're like, the girl with no job. I feel like I get to cover all of my bases, and if I lose the girl with no job, like, the Facebook moms, they'll forget about me, you know?
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
Like an older demo.
Claudia Ashrae
So, no for you?
Jackie
No, for me. I feel like our usernames, and I'm going to speak for both of us, have a lot of cultural cachet, and I wouldn't throw that away, honestly.
Claudia Ashrae
Wait, one more thing I had to ask you about was the the beef with the new Roni girl.
Jackie
Could you die?
Claudia Ashrae
No. That cracked me up.
Jackie
That was one of the craziest things that ever happened to me.
Claudia Ashrae
Did you reach out after?
Jackie
No, I was just reading Jama, and they were reading the list of the names, and I know. I know Erica. I've known her for years, and I was very excited. So I was like, reading you know who else, and they said the name Haley Classman, and I could not put my finger. I'm like, did I go to. She sounds like a Jewish girl, like Haley Glassman, but did I go to camp with her? I was like, why do I know that name? Went to her Instagram, and I'm like, oh, yeah. It started to feel familiar because her Instagram is not something you forget. She's, like, really kind of kooky. And I was like, there's no way. There is no way. And I go to our message history, and lo and behold, for years I'm scrolling through. She's responded to so many of my stories. She's like a troll. She's obsessed with my weight. A lot of the things she was messaging me about were like, you're fat. You're like, she's obsessed with weight. She's, like, always recommending I, like, get plastic surgery at her dad's practice. Just, like, true troll behavior. So much so that I had recognized her username because she's, like, an active years. Well, you know the name of your trolls.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah.
Jackie
I couldn't believe. Of course, I was instantly excited because, like, I get to make something about myself and I was obsessed. I was asked to film and I'm. No.
Claudia Ashrae
What?
Jackie
Yeah, they're like, dinner. No, no, no, no, wait.
Claudia Ashrae
Like a. Like a confrontation, I think.
Jackie
You know how, like, when a new housewife comes in and then somebody, like, digs something up on them and they bring, like. You know how, like, they brought Shep's ex girlfriend or whatever? Think I was still see one of those. I have no interest.
Claudia Ashrae
Literally zero.
Jackie
I just wanted to, like, make my little tick tock, get a couple of followers. I'm good. But that was just so crazy, you know, I always think the world revolves around me, but, like, it doesn't. But in a situation like that, I was like, maybe it does.
Claudia Ashrae
Maybe it does everything. Like, everything has to do with me.
Jackie
I. I think she maybe blocked me.
Claudia Ashrae
Oh, she blocked you?
Jackie
I think so, yeah. Because I was like, I want to block her. No, I don't. I don't block.
Claudia Ashrae
Oh, you don't block anyone.
Jackie
No. Know, maybe a couple people but like I'm I'm not a big blocker.
Claudia Ashrae
Like if you see happen to scroll through a DM that's mean you'll leave them.
Jackie
I will.
Claudia Ashrae
Yeah, you'll leave the person to see your life.
Jackie
Engagement is engagement. I need the I need that engagement rate to get up so I can get paid more.
