Welcome back to the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. I'm your host, Amanda Hirsch, and I still can't believe that I get to chat with some of my favorite stars from my very own podcast, where you'll feel like you're just talking shit with your best friends in your living room. Hey, guys. What a week last week was. I mean, it's just. It's like breakup season. It's breakup season. Cash Warren. I can't believe I said his name first. That's fucked up. Jessica Alba announced her divorce from husband of 20 years, Cash Warren. They really seemed like such a solid couple. Jessica Simpson and and her hubby are splitting. And then the one that really hit home for me was Matt James and Rachel Konnell, the Bachelor couple that like, shot me out of bed. I was not okay. They are so freaking adorable. Like, they're reals and they're eating everything. And her not gaining weight from it. Love it. Love it. Didn't even hate her for it. Okay. That's how much I like them, really. They seem like end game. I was wondering all the time, like, when is this guy gonna propose to the best thing that's ever happened to him? And that was a little weird to me. It also was a little odd to me that like, they're just. I mean, as a non travely person, I can't imagine just traveling all the time and not being home. Because I'm the opposite. I'm like, I want my bed, I want my home. And that they're just like everywhere all the time. And I'm like, I do feel like she would have wanted to settle down. So I always wondered like, when's that ring coming? Is there going to be an ultimatum at some point? Why isn't he locking this down? And then as they're like abroad, or at least they're like abroad, content is coming out. He posts this breakup post that is so weird. It is a picture from the Bachelor when they were in. When they were on the season. Now, Matt James, a reason that he triggered me before was because he never talks about the Bachelor. He won't bring it up. He doesn't want to talk about it. He doesn't like being associated with it. And it's like, dude, know where you came from. But he literally posted a Bachelor pic. He never does that. The location, he put his name, a colon, which is the where the Bachelor was shot. Then. So I'm like, okay. And then it was like, lord, please protect me and Rachel from Like the heartbreak because we ended our relationship. It was just bizarro turns off comments. Rachel hasn't posted anything. Then rumors start to swirl, like, what could have happened? People are like, oh, maybe it's like they ended their relationship because they've become fiance's. Okay. No. Then it was like, did you lose fantasy football? No, just all these, like, tick tock, green screen right now. I love that we did get some sort of confirmation. This is true because Rachel, one of her last reels is like, for his birthday. And she had started liking a few comments that were like, I'm so sorry you were blindsided, blah, blah, blah. To me, that's confirmation. It just annoys me that people are even like, what do you guys think? Like, are we in a simulation? Like, this is real life. Not everything is like a TikTok thing or like a fucking thing. I don't know. I'm such a boomer. Is TikTok even around? Like, I'm recording this right now on Friday. Like, is it? No, I mean, I did. I guess Biden said that he wasn't gonna sign off on the ban on Sunday. So anyway, then the only thing that came out with any sources talking is the Sun. So the sun article said that Rachel was blindsided. However, it said that she ended the relationship. This is a source saying it. But he posted and she didn't realize he was gonna post it. And then Matt knows what he did. So I'm like, did he cheat? Did she find. Well, this is what I've been saying. If there was such a quick breakup. And, like, it's not like Jessica Simpson, her husband were like, shit, could have been rocky for years and is just now coming out. Or, you know, this is like, no, they're posting in mostly real time, maybe a little bit delayed on their trips, but it's just bizarro. Like, something happened, something went down. So were they abroad? Did she find out he cheated? She broke it off. He posted the thing. She's pissed that he posted. You know, maybe something like that. Anyway, this has taken me on a whirlwind. I haven't, you know, cared this much about a couple in a while because I was invested. I was watching the Bachelor then, and they had a really interesting story. But if you heard her, I'm even mad. I. I love that girl. Anyway, onto today's pod. Speaking of girl, Girls was one of my and is one of my favorite shows ever. It's just all I want to do every day is be like, amanda, you need to do a rewatch you need to do a rewatch because you're going to even get it more now. You're going to. You're going to feel it more. You're going to. It's just going to be so much better than you even know anyway. You guys know that I love the show girls, as so many of us do. So I'm so excited that today I have on Sasha Mamet, who played Shoshana on the show. I mean, she's going to be shows forever. We just can't. She's fudgeing shows, but Sasha says she's nothing like Shosh, and she's on a new show which is actually really good. It's called Laid, and it's on Peacock, and you should check it out and enjoy my conversation with her because she's such a cool person. It was really. It was really interesting to get to know her and talk some girls and some. Some other stuff. So enjoy my convo with Zasha, which, like, did I have to, like, look up how to pronounce it? Mm, yeah, I did. Sasha.
Sasha Mamet
Hi.
Amanda Hirsch
Hi. I'm so excited you're here.
Sasha Mamet
I'm so excited to be here. I'm sorry we were late.
Amanda Hirsch
You went to another studio.
Sasha Mamet
We went to another studio.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. It happens.
Sasha Mamet
I live in fear of being late, so.
Amanda Hirsch
I know. I hate it. It makes me really. But we were talking about it when that mistake happened, and I was like, oh, my God, did we send the wrong address? I was, like, freaking out, and we were like, you know, like, this shit happens.
Sasha Mamet
It's okay.
Amanda Hirsch
You know, it's okay. Humanize it. People are late. You send the wrong email, you call somebody by the wrong name. Like, it happens.
Sasha Mamet
Like, it's going to be okay.
Amanda Hirsch
It's going to be okay.
Sasha Mamet
My therapist always says, are you in danger? Like, when you're freaking out or you're super stressed and just be like, am I in danger? Like, the answer is like. Like, am I being chased by a T. Rex?
Amanda Hirsch
Right.
Sasha Mamet
Like, normally the answer is no. Then you're.
Amanda Hirsch
You feel like you do. Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
You feel like you're being right.
Amanda Hirsch
That's the whole anxiety is that whole thing. Right. The flight or. Flight is.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah. Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
You think you're being attacked by a bear, but it's actually like. But it's not the smallest thing ever happening. And it's also. They say the same thing about kids, because there was like, a whole thing about, like, kids. Tantrums.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
And it's like, just make sure they're safe. Like, that's first. Like, remind Them. They're safe. You're safe. You're good, you're safe. That's the only thing.
Sasha Mamet
You're not in danger. Yeah, everything's.
Amanda Hirsch
Do you have anxiety?
Sasha Mamet
No.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, okay.
Sasha Mamet
Yes, obviously.
Amanda Hirsch
Just like, who.
Sasha Mamet
Do you think that there are people in this world that actually don't have anxiety?
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
You really do.
Amanda Hirsch
It depends. What kind are we talking about? The, like, fake. Like, I'm so anxious, I'm, like, going. Or the real kind?
Sasha Mamet
No, like.
Amanda Hirsch
Like hard palpitations, like sweating the nervous.
Sasha Mamet
Do you think there are actual individuals who exist on this planet who walk around and do not have anxiety?
Amanda Hirsch
I do. Aren't you so jealous of them?
Sasha Mamet
I just am. Like, are they. I just don't.
Amanda Hirsch
Are they alive?
Sasha Mamet
I just don't.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Like, is there a polls, like, do I believe that?
Amanda Hirsch
And you wouldn't like them? Probably. They're not very deep. Everything is, like, good.
Sasha Mamet
I don't think they're very interesting.
Amanda Hirsch
Right. Like, ignorance is bliss, though.
Sasha Mamet
Sure. Like, they're probably happier than I am, but, like, I don't know if they'd be fun to hang out with.
Amanda Hirsch
I think that, like, reality TV people, my. A lot of reality TV people I met, I'm like, wow. Like, you're just.
Sasha Mamet
Oh, they just don't.
Amanda Hirsch
You're just like, you're on another planet. You don't even see what's going on right now.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
And I'm like, that's. You don't want to be that.
Sasha Mamet
I haven't met a lot of reality TV people.
Amanda Hirsch
Are you into reality TV at all?
Sasha Mamet
Yes. But I would say in, like, I like off brand reality tv, like, I've become recently, my new obsession is the Great British Bake Off.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Sasha Mamet
I don't know if that can really be. I don't know if that would exist within. I mean, it's under the umbrella of reality television.
Amanda Hirsch
Is that a real tattoo?
Sasha Mamet
It is.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow. Yeah, tell me about it.
Sasha Mamet
My heart.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
It was one of the first tattoos I ever got.
Amanda Hirsch
Wait, was that by Jemima?
Sasha Mamet
No.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Sasha Mamet
She did not give me that. This guy named JK5 gave me this tattoo. It makes me sound way hard. More hardcore than I am. You sound so very hardcore. I'm not that hardcore. He may have been a recommendation from her as a tattoo artist, though, but he. Who knows where he is now? He used to have a studio on the Lower east side. Yeah. I woke up one day and I was like, I really want a heart tattoo on my palm.
Amanda Hirsch
You did.
Sasha Mamet
I was doing.
Amanda Hirsch
When was this? What era of Your life was this.
Sasha Mamet
This was right when I met my husband. So I was doing this play, the play that we met doing, and I was such a dumbass that our costume designer, when I walked in with, it was like, what the fuck were you thinking?
Amanda Hirsch
Because you're in the play.
Sasha Mamet
We all had to move the sets ourselves. Like, all of the sets were on wheels, and all of we didn't have.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, I know that. Okay, Okay. I know that's like a.
Sasha Mamet
Backstage grew. So, like, we all. So I'm literally, like, pushing couches as you're healing as, like, my. The palm of my hand is just like an open wound.
Amanda Hirsch
But, you know, that's so surprising. So you did the play when? Like, years ago?
Sasha Mamet
2011.
Amanda Hirsch
2011. So wait, that's in good condition.
Sasha Mamet
And I've never touched it.
Amanda Hirsch
So is it a myth that hand tattoos come off?
Sasha Mamet
It's not a myth. It's definitely not a myth. It really depends on how much you wash your hands. Yeah, I never wash my hands. I'm a filthy, filthy person. No, I think it's like, anything. It's like, depends on how your skin wears. Like, I have a tattoo on my ankle that I got with Kaylee after first season of Flight Attendant.
Amanda Hirsch
Was it the boop one?
Sasha Mamet
No, it's not that one.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. 100 tattoos.
Sasha Mamet
We actually had to count for something recently for a job. I have 42 tattoos.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow.
Sasha Mamet
What? Who am I?
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. Hardcore. Anyways, wait, so what's. What. What did you get with Kayleigh? What is that one?
Sasha Mamet
I got this little, like, it's supposed to be a little, like, paper airplane with a little, like. We got it with our costume department.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh. Because Flight Attendant. That's so cute.
Sasha Mamet
Kat Thomas, our costume designer, designed it. And, yeah, we all went and got them together. And it's, like, on my ankle, which you would think gets less play than my palm. And I've had it touched up twice, and it keeps.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, really?
Sasha Mamet
I don't know. So it just kind of depends on.
Amanda Hirsch
But that's. It does make you hardcore, that heart.
Sasha Mamet
Well, thank you.
Amanda Hirsch
That you woke up one day and you said, I want a giant heart the size of my palm on my palm.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
And hashtag, no regrets.
Sasha Mamet
No regrets.
Amanda Hirsch
Still love it.
Sasha Mamet
Still love it.
Amanda Hirsch
Because I have ones, like, in the back. Like, I have my college dorm room, which is super dumb. I think that's cute. I know. I don't care. Like, I don't see it.
Sasha Mamet
The number not, like, an actual sketching.
Amanda Hirsch
Right. 318 is here, so. And I don't see it ever, so it really doesn't bother me. And then I have an ohm that I copied from Alyssa Milano.
Sasha Mamet
Amazing.
Amanda Hirsch
She has cool tattoos. Look it up. I was into Charmed and like, oh, like, how funny. How, like, 17 years old is it to get a gnome? But I don't see them. But for you, you, like, see the heart all day and you still love it, which means funny, though.
Sasha Mamet
I forget that it's there.
Amanda Hirsch
It's kind of like it's in what morphed.
Sasha Mamet
Like, I get freaked out when they have to cover my tattoos for work. It makes me feel naked.
Amanda Hirsch
You're like Pete Davidson.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Sitting in the chair for. Well, he's getting that. He got them all removed. He did, yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Oh. So apparently some regrets for him.
Amanda Hirsch
For him. But you. But for jobs, like, do they get annoyed when it's like, they have to cover it up?
Sasha Mamet
You know, I am trying to think. I haven't had a job, like, for laid. We didn't cover any of them. I've gotten clearances, like, in perpetuity from all the artists, so. Because this is an interesting thing I learned when I started getting tattoos, you know, like, if we had a piece of art on this wall, we'd have to get clearance from the artist to use it. But the tattoos are on my body, but I don't own the rights to them.
Amanda Hirsch
So who does?
Sasha Mamet
The artist.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, so they have to contact JK5 50. Have they contacted him before?
Sasha Mamet
Also, my entertainment lawyer had this brilliant idea early on when he was like, when you get a tattoo, we should just get the artist to sign something.
Amanda Hirsch
That'S like, no, I cannot.
Sasha Mamet
But isn't that strange that even though it's. That's so crazy, it's my body, but they own. They own. You know, Unless it's like, I don't have any tattoos of, like, other licensable, you know, like, people who have, like, a Disney something then, like, you know.
Amanda Hirsch
Right. That's more obvious. Oh, that's such a. That's such an interesting thing.
Sasha Mamet
Learn something new. Right.
Amanda Hirsch
First of all, let's go back to your name, though.
Sasha Mamet
Sure.
Amanda Hirsch
Sasha.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
How many people get it wrong?
Sasha Mamet
Every. Everyone.
Amanda Hirsch
Your whole life.
Sasha Mamet
My whole life.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, what do they call you?
Sasha Mamet
Zoe.
Amanda Hirsch
So, yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Zosia.
Amanda Hirsch
Zosia, probably Zosia. You know, do people get it right ever right away there?
Sasha Mamet
Well, okay, there was a guy who worked. There was a janitor who worked at Silver cup when we were shooting Girls.
Amanda Hirsch
Which is here in New York.
Sasha Mamet
Which is here in New York. Who was Polish Who I guess got it right. Except he got it right in the way that he told me I was getting it wrong. He was like. He was. He, like, with his I'm going to do a terrible Polish accent, so I won't even try. But he was like, you pronounce your name wrong, it should be Zosha.
Amanda Hirsch
Aha.
Sasha Mamet
And I was like, sure, except I'm not in Poland. In Poland. And also, I didn't give myself this name. And my parents told me this is how I pronounce it.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
So like, we. And every time he would see me on set, he would just, like, scowl at me and tell me he didn't.
Amanda Hirsch
Like that you were it up.
Sasha Mamet
No, he really felt like I was a disappointment.
Amanda Hirsch
Wait, do you know that it's like there was like, a vampire? Oh, my God. So you need a tattoo of a vampire.
Sasha Mamet
My friend Stephanie on Halloween sent me this link, and the link came up as, like, remains discovered Polish vampire. And I was like, okay. We were sending voice notes back and forth and I was like, okay. She kept being like, did you click on the link? And I was like, steph, I'm really busy. I'm, like, running errands. I can't read about this weird, like, skull discovered in Poland. She was like, just trust me. And I was in the supermarket and I opened the link and I fucking screamed. Screamed and dropped my phone because, like, am I a vampire?
Amanda Hirsch
Are you?
Sasha Mamet
I don't know.
Amanda Hirsch
Wait. It means wisdom. I looked that up. Did you know that?
Sasha Mamet
I did not know that it means wisdom.
Amanda Hirsch
You've never looked into this? I thought, no, you didn't look like the first thing aside from you, it comes up. The vampire.
Sasha Mamet
The vampire.
Amanda Hirsch
And that it means wisdom in. In Polish.
Sasha Mamet
But, like, this was apparently a real issue.
Amanda Hirsch
The zoa versa.
Sasha Mamet
The Z. The Zoa vampire. They put her in the ground. In. They put like a scythe over her neck. Because I guess then they were. Their reasoning according to.
Amanda Hirsch
Wait, this is a real life person that they thought was a vampire?
Sasha Mamet
Supposedly there was this woman.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Who they thought was a vampire. Who is wreaking havoc on this town in Poland. I don't know if they. I think there's some nefarious shit went down. And they murdered her and then they buried her and they put a scythe over her neck. Because I guess their reasoning was like, if she wakes up, it's going to decapitate her. First they padlocked her into this grave. Into this grave, into her coffin. And then they were like, that's not enough. We need to do the scythe thing. And then when they dug her up to put the scythe over her neck, the padlock was open. She wasn't fucking in there. And now the lore goes that she, like, wreaks havoc on this town, but that's because she wasn't there. I was like, am I her? Am I this crazy Polish vampire? And I don't know. I'm really sleepy all the time. I hate garlic.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. Garlic is so bad. Like, it fucks up your stomach.
Sasha Mamet
It gives me a terrible tummy ache. Right, but what are the other. What are other, like, symptoms of being vampire?
Amanda Hirsch
You sleep, right? Tired.
Sasha Mamet
Super tired.
Amanda Hirsch
Super white.
Sasha Mamet
Very pale, right?
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, yes.
Sasha Mamet
I'm allergic to the sun. That's what it is.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. I have allergic to the sun.
Sasha Mamet
Like, an actual, like, sun. I get, like, a weird rash when I'm in the sun for too long. So I don't know.
Amanda Hirsch
I mean, you are a vampire.
Sasha Mamet
I mean.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, my God. No, I love that story. I was like, did your parents name you after this vampire? Did they name you because of wisdom or.
Sasha Mamet
Or I am her or you just are her. And I came out and I was like, this will be my name.
Amanda Hirsch
I love that your friend sent you that in the middle of life and you never heard of it?
Sasha Mamet
Never heard of it.
Amanda Hirsch
That's crazy.
Sasha Mamet
But we have her to thank for me now being in the know.
Amanda Hirsch
I know. And you need a tattoo of a vampire.
Sasha Mamet
You need a vampire. Okay.
Amanda Hirsch
You need a vampire tattoo for sure. But you know what? Because of girls, I think. I think because of girls or your general vibe, I, like, pictured you being from New York, and you're not from New York.
Sasha Mamet
I thank you. I very much appreciate it.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah, It's a cool thing. Yeah. Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Everyone says that. Yeah. I think everyone thinks I'm a New Yorker, which I take as a compliment. I was born in Vermont, which is where my family used to have a house. We were all born in, like, the. I mean, I was about to say the rural parts of Vermont, and then I was like, what part of Vermont isn't rural? It's all woods. And then moved to Cambridge, Mass, Like, a couple months in. To life.
Amanda Hirsch
To life. Okay.
Sasha Mamet
Lived there till I was five. Split my time between la, where we moved, and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Amanda Hirsch
Split your time from age 5.
Sasha Mamet
From age 5 until, like, 17. And then I lived in LA until I moved to New York for girls when I was, like, 21, I think.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, so you lived in New York for girls all those years? How many. How many years was That, I mean.
Sasha Mamet
All told, including shooting the pilot was like seven years. I mean, I stayed. Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow. So when you had to move to New York for it, were you excited? Were you?
Sasha Mamet
I was at the time, I was very excited to have the job.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
At the time I had, like, just moved to Venice in California. I just started dating this guy and I was, like, just kind of starting to, like, figure out my adult life in LA.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
And so how old were you? 21.
Amanda Hirsch
21, yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Baby child.
Amanda Hirsch
Baby child. But. And you got some gigs before girls. Like, you were in some stuff. You were in Mad Men?
Sasha Mamet
Yeah, I was in Mad Men. I'd been doing a bunch of tv. I was working on Mad Men. I did. Oh, Parenthood, Parenthood, United States of Tara. I just.
Amanda Hirsch
So did you almost pass this up because you were like, wait, everything's vibing, I'm in la, I'm getting jobs.
Sasha Mamet
Did I almost pass up girls? Hard no.
Amanda Hirsch
Hard, no.
Sasha Mamet
Hard, no.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, you were like.
Sasha Mamet
I was.
Amanda Hirsch
I'm doing everything for it.
Sasha Mamet
But I was supposed to be a guest star on the. Just like in the pilot.
Amanda Hirsch
I heard that.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah, there was. There was a crazy story of how I got that.
Amanda Hirsch
What? Tell me the cliffsnows version.
Sasha Mamet
I was shooting this really terrible indie film in upstate New York and I had pneumonia, but I was in, like, every scene of the movie. And so. And we, like, had no money and no time and whatever, so I didn't have time to go to the doctor. And they brought an onset doctor who kept telling me, I think the producers paid her off to, like, tell me that I just had a cold. And she kept giving me, like, Echinacea and Ricola.
Amanda Hirsch
Was this shooting in the. In the cold in upstate? Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
So we were shooting. It was the coldest October on record.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, my God.
Sasha Mamet
There were no pumpkins for Halloween that year because all the fucking pumpkins froze. And, like, there were no pumpkins to be had. Like, that's how cold it was. And we were cheating. Early September. So I was in like, you know, maybe a long sleeve T shirt and we were shooting. It was like pretty much 97% exteriors. And. And I got pneumonia. And they kept bringing back this, like, country doctor. And I literally. You could, like, if you put your hand on my chest, you could, like, feel the liquid in my lungs rattling.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, my.
Sasha Mamet
That's so scary. And she was like, oh, it's like allergies. Or, like, just take some vitamin C, sweetie, and, like, drink some ginger tea with lemon. And I was like, like, okay. And I Had to make a tape for girls. I got this audition and I made a tape and I sent it in and I got the part and they were having a table read.
Amanda Hirsch
But you got the part from the tape alone. I got the part from the tape because it was just a one.
Sasha Mamet
It was like a. It was like two scenes or something.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow.
Sasha Mamet
And I came into the city for this table read. We had like one day off and I spent the night at my friend's place. And I was really worried. I live in fear of being late. So I was really worried of, like being fresh faced the next day. Cause I was so sick. Whatever. And on my way from the train station, I'd taken the train in. I was like, you know what? I don't really take NyQuil, but, like, I'm just gonna get grab a NyQuil and like, make sure I get a good night's sleep. And I took two NyQuil. And I remember waking up and I remember getting to the table read and I remember meeting Lena and Judd and then I literally do not remember anything else until I wake up on my friend's floor, like hours later. And I was like, drenched in sweat, just like on the floor of her apartment.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay, that's giving me anxiety.
Sasha Mamet
And I had this weird fever dream memory that I had projectile vomited, like, on the table at the table read. And I frantically called my agent.
Amanda Hirsch
I was like, did I?
Sasha Mamet
I think I fucked up. And he was like, okay, chill out. Like, go back upstate, finish the movie. Like, don't worry. And I was like, no, no. I think that, like, A, I'm getting fired and B, like, everyone thinks I'm, I don't know, A, a druggie, unhinged, at least unprofessional. And he didn't call me back for like a week, and I just spun out. For a week?
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
And then I got a call from him while I was on set and he was like, you didn't throw up. They said you were amazing. They hadn't called me back because they were like, rewriting an offer because they want to make you a series regular.
Amanda Hirsch
We'll be right back after the break. I've told you guys this before, that I'm such a bar girly. Like, I will have. Like, I've done a what's in my bag before, and what's in my bag are, like three different kinds of bars and a lot of lip stuff. Like, that's what I will have in my bag. A bar, to me is just so necessary as a snack. Something to hold you over something quick to eat in between. Like, there's always a snack bar in my bag. Okay. I. I just love bars. One of my favorites right now is IQ Bar. It's really great. It's plant powered. It's free from gluten, dairy, soy, GMO and artificial sweeteners. It has more fiber, less sugar and carbs than the alternatives with nine amazing flavors like mint chocolate chip, chocolate sea salt, banana nut, toasted coconut chip. I love toasted coconut chip. Give me anything. Coconut, lemon, blueberry, peanut butter chip, and more. I really love the banana nut as well. And it's just such a bar that has protein like I said. And the nutritional values are really, really good. IQ Bar, if you haven't tried it, this is your time. And right now IQ Bar is offering my special cutie podcast listeners 20% off all IQ Bar products plus get free shipping. So to get that 20% off, you have to text not skinny to 64,000. Text not skinny to 64,000. That's not skinny to 64,000. It's really great. That's not skinny to 64 thousand. Message and data rates may apply. See terms for details. I have been so good lately about like just cleaning my closet. Constant clean outs, constant. If you're not wearing this, get rid of it because you want to make room for ish that you are wearing. And my vibe right now, like I'm totally like early 30s hot mom, you know? Yeah, hot chic mom. Okay. I like cardigans. I like button downs, I like cashmere, a nice trouser. So many of us have made the resolution to be drinking more mindfully in the year 2025. And you can do that with Seed Lip Non Alcoholic spirits. If you haven't heard of Seed Seed Lip, it's a great non alcoholic spirit. It's carefully crafted from a unique blend of botanicals and spices, and it's made to be used in your favorite non alcoholic cocktail. What I love is that it has four flavors that are so tasty, have no added sugar, no calories, but still have so much flavor. And what I love about it is that it's not meant to, like, be a non alcoholic gin or vodka or tequila. It actually has its own original and distinct flavor. So you can really be, like, enjoying a cocktail and, like, feeling chic and like it being tasty and not drinking something like, loaded with sugar. That's like, gross and just like a cheap imitation. So I highly recommend you start the new year right by visiting seed lip drinks.com and use the code not skinny to get 20% off your purchase. That's wild. That from that T. What did you do? Does not. I would spin out. I'd be like, I want to remember what I did.
Sasha Mamet
I would. I would run. Yeah, those hours are lost forever.
Amanda Hirsch
You think you got, like, high off the NyQuil?
Sasha Mamet
Oh, yeah, the NyQuil, like, fucked me up. To this day, I will not. It's like, full on. You know how people describe, like, taking Ambien and like, you know, waking up in Texas, like, holding a chicken. Like, that was me.
Amanda Hirsch
That was. You know, that's so crazy because, like, I used to down nyquil. Like today. Old age makes you more anxious for sure as. As you probably experience too. I used to pop that shit, you know, like, feel bad. Like, now I'm like, how many Advil are you allowed after how many hours? For sure, by the way, you're not allowed Advil because it fucks up your stomach. So I only do Tylenol. You know, I'm like, such a Fudgin. Oh, yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Tylenol doesn't do anything for me.
Amanda Hirsch
Really. How do you do?
Sasha Mamet
How do you feel About Excedrin.
Amanda Hirsch
Could me up, too, because of the caffeine? Depends. You can't take it later, telling you you love Excedrin. You have to love it.
Sasha Mamet
The same woman who sent me.
Amanda Hirsch
What if you just had a coffee?
Sasha Mamet
Oh, I don't.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, okay. See, I need to think about these things. You're better off.
Sasha Mamet
Would I rather have a migraine or be a little shaky?
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. Yeah. You get headaches.
Sasha Mamet
I get headaches.
Amanda Hirsch
Me, too.
Sasha Mamet
I think it's a tension thing. I think it's probably because I like, you know, I clench at night.
Amanda Hirsch
I love how we make that shit up. You probably don't clench at night. You wouldn't know if you clench at night.
Sasha Mamet
Well, my husband sometimes wakes me up and is like, yo, I can hear you.
Amanda Hirsch
So get a mouth guarded, supposedly. Fix it. So it's not the clenching. You know, you make it up. You're like, it's the hormones. It's my TMJ that I don't have. It's the this. And sometimes I just say, like. Like, I have headaches. Like, it's just something that I have to live with. Pop the Tylenol sometimes. Do you ever pop them, like, preemptively, like, yeah, you're like, one might be coming.
Sasha Mamet
Should I. Yeah. Yeah. It's like when you have a trick knee and you, like, feel. You're like, yeah, that's a storm. Yeah, there's a storm on the.
Amanda Hirsch
No. You know, you're like, I have a long day. I won't be able to eat lunch at the exact time they usually do.
Sasha Mamet
I have. I have, like, a small bottle in my purse. Then, like, when I'm traveling, it will be, like, in my purse. Also in my backpack, I have a full bottle in my tack trunk.
Amanda Hirsch
So you're at the barn, et cetera.
Sasha Mamet
There's also, like, one in the bathroom, one in the pantry.
Amanda Hirsch
Everywhere.
Sasha Mamet
It's like an. It's like as if I need an EpiPen.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah, right.
Sasha Mamet
Except it's just.
Amanda Hirsch
Yes.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, my God. Same. I wonder what it is. And how are you with dairy? You were saying you're an oat milk girl.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah, Dairy is so. I've just started reintroducing butter into my life.
Amanda Hirsch
I sped.
Sasha Mamet
Obviously.
Amanda Hirsch
You crazy.
Sasha Mamet
Not a heathen.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. You're into. You were actual lactose intolerant.
Sasha Mamet
Not when I was young. It was like, no gluten, no dairy, which was because, what? Just like, horrif. Like, doubled over in pain.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow.
Sasha Mamet
Like, stomach aches that were.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow.
Sasha Mamet
World ending.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow. Okay.
Sasha Mamet
Very Bad. And then my husband convinced me to take one of those tests. Oh, like the. You prick your finger.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Like a food sensitivity test.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Like, two years ago, he was like, you know, maybe you're not allergic anymore. And also, can you please not be? So we can, like, have real bread in the house. And I fully was no longer allergic to gluten.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Sasha Mamet
I now eat, like, a loaf of sourdough bread a week, slash, maybe in four days by myself.
Amanda Hirsch
That you make.
Sasha Mamet
No.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. No. Because everyone's making them now. I don't know. Everyone's making them.
Sasha Mamet
Takes too long.
Amanda Hirsch
Starter kits.
Sasha Mamet
And there's too much science involved in bread making. Like, I love to bake baked goods, but the. Like, it has to rise at this temperature for that.
Amanda Hirsch
No, I don't get it.
Sasha Mamet
It's not for me.
Amanda Hirsch
But sourdough is good.
Sasha Mamet
Sourdough is delicious.
Amanda Hirsch
So you can do gluten.
Sasha Mamet
Can do gluten. Dairy was an iffy one, so says the test. I've, like, dipped my toe back into butter, which now seems to be fine. Like, milk and cheese is not. Not.
Amanda Hirsch
You tried.
Sasha Mamet
It's not. It's not a good.
Amanda Hirsch
Not yet match. I don't know, though, about oat milk. Look into it. Look, I'm just.
Sasha Mamet
You're not. You're like the. No, you're like, the 15th person who said that to me, and I'm just choosing to.
Amanda Hirsch
It's okay. You know what? It's fine if you love it.
Sasha Mamet
It's fine is my.
Amanda Hirsch
So it has 100 grams of sugar. Whatever.
Sasha Mamet
My feeling is like, everything in this world is bad for us.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Everything is going to kill us.
Amanda Hirsch
Agreed.
Sasha Mamet
Everything is going to give us cancer. You gotta just, like, pick your poison.
Amanda Hirsch
I know for sure. If that's, like, the one you like.
Sasha Mamet
Like, I'm not smoking cracks. I feel like oatmeal.
Amanda Hirsch
I agree. I mean, didn't Hannah say it on girls?
Sasha Mamet
Did she?
Amanda Hirsch
She did. She told her parents. She was like.
Sasha Mamet
She was like, oatmeal.
Amanda Hirsch
No. She was like, I'm not a drug addict.
Sasha Mamet
Oh, yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
I like, sure. Then everything's fine in the world, you know?
Sasha Mamet
Yeah. I mean, I don't know if, like, every, Like, I for sure make. I just. I feel like we're all gonna make some bad decisions. So, like, oh, maybe oat milk's mine, and I'm okay with that.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay, good. If you love it. What kind?
Sasha Mamet
I'm an oatly full fat. I know. Look, I know people. Or.
Amanda Hirsch
I thought you were doing, like, a healthy oat. Milk. I didn't know you were doing oatly.
Sasha Mamet
No, no. I'm not in it for like the health game. I'm in it because. For the alternative nut milk. Well, first of all, I'm allergic to almonds.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Sasha Mamet
Can't do almond milk.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Sasha Mamet
If I could drink dairy.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
I would be a half and half person. I want it thick and creamy.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. So that's what the Leah is doing for you.
Sasha Mamet
But full fat.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Sasha Mamet
Or chobani extra creamy.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. Chobani is really good.
Sasha Mamet
Those are my two.
Amanda Hirsch
So that's why you're a milk. Because we were talking about before. You're a milk snob. Because. Right. You don't know what oat milk they're using. It's like at Starbucks, they use like something weird.
Sasha Mamet
The weird. Anything watery. You don't like it? No.
Amanda Hirsch
So you can bring your own. I've seen people do it. Just saying.
Sasha Mamet
That's a next level move.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay, well, how many copies do you have a day?
Sasha Mamet
I'm not above it.
Amanda Hirsch
I'll consider it.
Sasha Mamet
I wouldn't do it in front of my husband because I would never live it down.
Amanda Hirsch
He would just.
Sasha Mamet
No.
Amanda Hirsch
Not be into it.
Sasha Mamet
He would just think it was. Which he would not be incorrect. Like the most ridiculous thing. I mean, I've probably done my husband ridiculous.
Amanda Hirsch
When I'm like, can you get me a coffee? And ask them to put what? He's like, this is too much. And I'm like, this is nothing. You know what girls ask for? Like, I'm literally just asking them not to put a lot of milk. He's like, I'm overwhelmed. Send me by text. I'm like, are you okay? Girls have the wildest orders. This is one thing very wild. I know.
Sasha Mamet
I am. I am an alterer, though. Like, no, I'm not. I don't get crazy, but I am the person who's like, oh, if it's like this salad, like, you know, the options are like, you can have this salad with chicken or this salad with salmon. I'm like, ooh, except this salad, but with the salmon. And also maybe the avocado and the whatever.
Amanda Hirsch
And he wants to die. He wants to die.
Sasha Mamet
And he's just like, I'm.
Amanda Hirsch
He apologizes the waitress. And I know there's but then. But it's.
Sasha Mamet
But like.
Amanda Hirsch
But then. What do they do then? He doesn't like his mashed potatoes. Who is he asking to do the switch? He's not asking the waitress. He's going like, can you tell her I don't like it. She needs you.
Sasha Mamet
Oh.
Amanda Hirsch
Or he'll. He'll eat it and die.
Sasha Mamet
No, no, no, he won't eat it and die. He'll. Although, you know, it was funny, when I was working in Italy on the show a couple years ago, I worked with, like, predominantly Brits, and it was hilarious to say there were two Americans, and we were the first ones on set just to be like, yeah, sorry, this is a little. Like, the coffee's actually cold. But you, like, not trying to be, like, difficult. But, like, if we ended up, like, they did a coffee order and then the take ended up taking an hour, we're like, oh, can you throw it in the microwave? And the Brits were like. And this one British actress I worked with, she was like, literally, if you served me shit on a plate, like, actual feces on the plate, I would be like, thank you so much. And I would eat the whole thing because I didn't want to offend you. And I was like, this is. I. I feel like we need to unpack this.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah, this feels. Don't. Don't eat that.
Sasha Mamet
You send the feces back.
Amanda Hirsch
I know. They. They. And that's. I think, like, men sometimes, like, they just get so shy to be like, there's a hair in my food. Like, don't. Do not floss with that hair. You know, don't floss with it. Don't floss with the hair.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. So I want to hear about when you got girls.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, you started working. First of all, that's crazy, because I see. What's that studio called? It's so exciting to see, like, the one studio they have here. So whenever you're on the 59th Street Bridge.
Sasha Mamet
I know.
Amanda Hirsch
And you were in it.
Sasha Mamet
We were in.
Amanda Hirsch
I wish I could take a tour one day.
Sasha Mamet
We. You probably can.
Amanda Hirsch
A gazillion different, like, sets and rooms.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah. There's some, like, great history. It's pretty. I mean, I don't know if they've redone it. It's like, parts of it are pretty run down, but that's part of the charm. We. Our second season, we moved to Steiner Studios in the Navy Yard. I think there was this feeling of, like, the show kind of blew up, and everyone was like. And they just built Steiner, and it was, like, new and sparkly, and we moved there, and everyone immediately was like, oh, no, no, no, no. And we just, like, went.
Amanda Hirsch
And you went back.
Sasha Mamet
We just went back to Silver Cup.
Amanda Hirsch
Where's the Steiner one?
Sasha Mamet
I think it's in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, right.
Sasha Mamet
It's also so fucking massive that you. Literally. Everybody had these, like, little electric scooters.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, wow.
Sasha Mamet
And. Or probably maps because, like, if you wanted to get to the canteen for lunch, it was like a 20 minute walk to get across the studio.
Amanda Hirsch
That's crazy.
Sasha Mamet
So, yeah, we went back to Salt Lake.
Amanda Hirsch
So where did you live when you were living in New York?
Sasha Mamet
I lived all over. I lived. My first apartment was in Nolita. It was on Elizabeth, in between Princeton, Houston. Do you know the Aesop store? Yes, it's like, right next door.
Amanda Hirsch
That's cute.
Sasha Mamet
I went and visited. I actually had to go get something at Aesop the other day for a friend.
Amanda Hirsch
That's a great gift to get, by the way. I love you for someone I saw. You're like a notorious gift giver, too.
Sasha Mamet
It's my favorite thing to do. We were just discussing it on the elevator up. We were brainstorming gifts for very special Christmas. For Christmas.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Sasha Mamet
Someone was stumped for a gift for someone else. And so we were just like, yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, so you can help with gifts even if you don't know the person.
Sasha Mamet
And like, oh, no, I know this person.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Sasha Mamet
But sure.
Amanda Hirsch
So what's the biggest gift you ever got someone?
Sasha Mamet
Biggest, like, largest.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, most impressive. Oh. Or you, like, you got your husband, for instance.
Sasha Mamet
That's a toughie. I've been trying to get him. I was trying to get him this one gift. It was like two years in the making and I didn't end up coming through. And now he knows someone that's, like, gonna hook him up. I was trying to send him to. Oh, my God. What's it called? He's a huge golfer. What's the huge. In Augusta, Georgia. The Masters. Thank you, Anthony. I was trying to send him to the Masters to.
Amanda Hirsch
That's a game that's like the.
Sasha Mamet
It's like playoffs of golf. They're like. I don't know, it's like the golf thing. Thing. And there's a green jacket involved. You get one for the person who wins, I think.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, okay.
Sasha Mamet
But it's like. It's like the golf to end all golf.
Amanda Hirsch
Does it. Does it pain you that you didn't. You weren't the one to get him to go.
Sasha Mamet
It kind of bums me out because it really would have been like, the crowning achievement. He's. He claims that he is not hard to buy for. He is the hardest person to buy for because A, he doesn't need anything, and B, when he does need or wants something, he Just gets it for himself.
Amanda Hirsch
Diy, like, albums and stuff like that?
Sasha Mamet
No, because he's not, like. He's also not really a stuff person, so I'm just like. I don't.
Amanda Hirsch
Would he appreciate, like, a watch?
Sasha Mamet
I've tried. I've gotten him watches in the past. He's obsessed with his apple watch. I did.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, you. You're an apple watch girl. It's because you work out. Huh?
Sasha Mamet
I just. And you know what? Honestly, the biggest thing is when I'm on my horse, I don't normally have my phone with me, so you can just talk, but I. And I can just, like, see how long it's been. And, you know, my husband knows if he really needs to get a hold of me when I'm on horseback, he can.
Amanda Hirsch
Do you have your own horse?
Sasha Mamet
I do.
Amanda Hirsch
Him. Her.
Sasha Mamet
Her.
Amanda Hirsch
What's his name?
Sasha Mamet
Herbie.
Amanda Hirsch
That's so cute.
Sasha Mamet
Love of my life.
Amanda Hirsch
Wait, so where is she? Is she in a barn?
Sasha Mamet
She's in a barn.
Amanda Hirsch
Is she. Is it your barn?
Sasha Mamet
No, it's my. My trainer. My horse trainer has a barn. There's about 30 horses in the barn.
Amanda Hirsch
And she lives there with, like, other horses. And you go. And how far is it from your house?
Sasha Mamet
Like, 30 minutes.
Amanda Hirsch
How often do you go?
Sasha Mamet
Like, five days a week.
Amanda Hirsch
Stop. When I'm. When you're not.
Sasha Mamet
When I'm not working. Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
And you ride. It's not like, a workout, though, right?
Sasha Mamet
Oh, yeah, it is. Oh, yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, where? Like the.
Sasha Mamet
Like, all over.
Amanda Hirsch
Full body.
Sasha Mamet
Full body, huh? Oh, yeah. Especially as you start to jump higher. Like, if you watch, like, watching the Olympics. Yeah, those riders are like. Those people are fit as well.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, burning calories and shit.
Sasha Mamet
All of it. Really? Oh, yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Huh. How did you get into it?
Sasha Mamet
I started writing when I was, like, three.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow. What?
Sasha Mamet
Yeah, I started when I was very young. My older sister.
Amanda Hirsch
How do you start writing by yourself?
Sasha Mamet
My. I learned to ride at the stable in Vermont. This amazing woman named Judy Whipple, who was just, like, badass. Like, salty horsewoman.
Amanda Hirsch
And you have memories of this? Of, like, being three?
Sasha Mamet
Yes.
Amanda Hirsch
Damn.
Sasha Mamet
Like, Viv, these are core memories. Sickness runs deep.
Amanda Hirsch
Wow.
Sasha Mamet
So my parents had gotten my little. My older sister into riding, and she was kind of like. And they'd gotten her pony, and she didn't really care about it, and I was, like, immediately obsessed. But she took lessons for a while, and I would go along with her. And. Yeah, some of my earliest memories, my legs were, like, too short to get past the saddle.
Amanda Hirsch
Right.
Sasha Mamet
The horse, like, couldn't Feel that I was up there.
Amanda Hirsch
So, Jeannie, oh my God. They would start running, running off with you if they can't feel like you're.
Sasha Mamet
No, they just like, didn't. Like, I couldn't even get them to like, move forward because they were like, there's. I mean, I was three. Like, what, what do three year olds weigh? 15 pounds, something like that? 20 pounds. So Judy would like stand next to me and she would hook her arm around me and she would hike her foot up into the stirrup and like, hop along to teach me. Like, oh.
Amanda Hirsch

So you've been riding since you were three?
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
When did you buy Herbie?
Sasha Mamet
Herbie? Actually, Kaylee and I swapped horses.
Amanda Hirsch
Relatable. No, I'm just kidding. Totally.
Sasha Mamet
She's just like us guys. I know. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever said. Okay.
Amanda Hirsch
It's her horse and your horse's barn, so.
Sasha Mamet
Okay. I. I took a break from riding in my 20s. When I started shooting girls. I just, like, didn't have a ton of time. Cause I was working so much. And my horse, who I'd had Since I was 12, I brought her back to the barn in Vermont, thinking that, like, hopefully she would be sort of closer to me. And she ended up getting really sick, and we had to put her down. And I'd had her since I was 12 and she was 4. And it was like fucking heartbreak of the century. And it happened really fast. And I was shooting at the time. And when the vet called me, they were like, the most humane thing to do. Like, she's in pain. We need to do this Now. And so I didn't get to say goodbye, but you weren't there, and it was fucking brutal.
Amanda Hirsch
And you were shooting.
Sasha Mamet
I was shooting. And they basically were like, we need to do this today. And I couldn't get there.
Amanda Hirsch
Did you see her after?
Sasha Mamet
I mean, I went to see, like, where she was buried. She's buried on the property, which is nice. I know that, like, you know, that farm obviously, like, means a lot to me, and Judy's an amazing woman, and so I knew she was, like, in good hands when she passed, but it really, really rocked me. So that plus work. I took a big break, and I met my husband when I was on this break, so he didn't know me as a horse girl.
Amanda Hirsch
You were her horse girl before there were horse girls?
Sasha Mamet
I was a horse girl before being a horse girl was.
Amanda Hirsch
Was a thing.
Sasha Mamet
Was hip.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah, sure. Okay.
Sasha Mamet
I'm not going to say I started.
Amanda Hirsch
The trend not saying it.
Sasha Mamet
Not saying it. I didn't say it. But then I. Once girls was kind of wrapping up, I was like, I. You know, horse girls sort of describe it as, like. It's like a key element to your personhood, and when you're not engaged in it, it feels like part of you is missing or, like, dormant. So I was like, you know what? I'm really feeling this ache, and I really want to get back into it. So I started riding again, and my husband was kind of like, he did not know about this world. And he was like, okay. And then I was like, I think I might. I think I want to get another horse. And he was kind of like, okay, let's, like, see if you still stick with it. Because he didn't.
Amanda Hirsch
He didn't get it.
Sasha Mamet
He didn't understand.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
And then I went with my trainer at the time to help her try and find a horse for another client. And we went to this, like, backwoods sale barn where they literally. It's like they get a horse in. In the morning, and it's gone by the afternoon. And I had no intention of purchasing a horse, but I saw this horse, and it was literally, like. It was like a rom com where, like, they see each other from across the room and, like, the spotlight comes up and, like, hearts come out of your eyes. And I fell in love with her.
Amanda Hirsch
This is not Herbie.
Sasha Mamet
This is not Herbie.
Amanda Hirsch
Because you traded this horse.
Sasha Mamet
Because we traded.
Amanda Hirsch
And I fell in love with this horse. And you end up trading it.
Sasha Mamet
But trust me, okay, everyone ended up where they're supposed to be. So I fall in love with her. I end up trying her, basically. Like, there were people waiting and they were like, what's up with that? I was like, she's taken.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
I call my husband to be like, bought a horse. Hey. He was like blowing leaves in the backyard. I sent him a photo of this horse. I'm like, did you get this photo? He's like, yeah, cool horse. And I was like, so funny story. We definitely didn't fight about it at all that night. When I got home, I ended up buying this horse. They don't tell you the horses come in and they like, it's a fully shady business. They like, don't want you to be able to Google these horses. They don't really. They want you to, like, take them away and never come back. So she didn't have a name, but she was in a numbered stall, so she was in stall 10. So we named her 10.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, cute.
Sasha Mamet
And this horse was so fucking cool. Like, but I'm a jumper and she did it for me. But, like, you could tell that if she never had to work another day in her life.
Amanda Hirsch
She's a lazy horse. She wasn't lazy.
Sasha Mamet
She was just like. She had like hot rich girl vibes. Like, she just kind of wanted to be, like.
Amanda Hirsch
Be like, pretty and she just wanted.
Sasha Mamet
To be like, pretty and like, have her hair braided and eat fancy snacks and, like, get massages.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
So I brought her out to LA for season two of Flight Attendant. I had this horrible experience at that barn and some shit went down and, like, poor 10 was put in, like, some precarious situations. And I was on the phone with Kayleigh being like, I don't know what I'm gonna do because I have to come out there for like seven months. And she was like, just bring her. So I did not know this, but when you ship a horse on an airplane, they go via FedEx.
Amanda Hirsch
I can't picture a horse on there. Can anyone picture a horse on an airplane right now?
Sasha Mamet
Apparently a lot of times they're actually.
Amanda Hirsch
Like in the cargo hole where the suitcases are.
Sasha Mamet
No, it's like a whole different thing. But she went on a full on FedEx airplane.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, my God.
Sasha Mamet
So I literally.
Amanda Hirsch
Do they sit? Do they stand?
Sasha Mamet
No, they're in like a little. It was her and this little pony. And like, there's a woman who like goes on the plane with them just in case anything happens.
Amanda Hirsch
And it's just the animals.
Sasha Mamet
It's just them. So she went on a.
Amanda Hirsch
So you shipped her from where to where?
Sasha Mamet
From New York to la.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Sasha Mamet
And, yeah, she came to Kaylee's ranch, which is, like, amazing and lovely, and.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, she was like, you can keep her here. She has a ranch.
Sasha Mamet
She has a ranch. She was there the whole time we were shooting. And then while I was there, Kaylee had this horse on her property who had been given her as a mare to breed. But, like, Covid had happened all the. They didn't end up doing it, and she kind of, like, needed a person. They were like, do you mind riding her while you're here? I started riding her, and I cheated a little bit.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
And it was like a real. It was a real match. It was a real. We fell hard and fast, and Kaylee's mom is also a rider, and she has, like. Her knees aren't great. Like, she needs something really safe, and 10 is fucking bomb proof. You could, like, throw a knife at her head, and she would be like, that's weird. Why'd you do that? And it was Kaylee's trainer, actually, who made the suggestion. She was like, look what you want to do with your riding career, 10 does not want to do. She is, like, perfect for Lane.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
And Herbie is perfect for, like. Herbie wants to go, like, see the world and jump over big shit. And, like, I think that.
Amanda Hirsch
So you traded.
Sasha Mamet
So we traded.
Amanda Hirsch
So much to think about as an adult and a horse girl. It's crazy together.
Sasha Mamet
It's a lot.
Amanda Hirsch
But do you have a horse tattoo?
Sasha Mamet
I do have a tiny horse tattoo that Jemima did give me.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, was that the. Oh, that was the one. She was one of the sicken folks. Wait, you let Jemima give you a tattoo? Like, sober? Yeah, midday. Did she have a tattooing?
Sasha Mamet
She did. Like, like, prison tattoo.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, with the. Damn. You are hardcore. Did she. Did you ask for it or did she suggest it?
Sasha Mamet
I honestly don't remember knowing Jemima. She could have, like, incepted my brain and made me think that it was my idea.
Amanda Hirsch
She's so cool, huh?
Sasha Mamet
She's very cool.
Amanda Hirsch
Were you close on set with all the girls?
Sasha Mamet
Yeah. I mean, we spent so much time together. Yeah, it was a lot. Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
It was such a good show. Thanks, you guys. I mean, there is, by the way, do you know that there's, like, now on TikTok? I mean, everyone's, like, rewatching it. Gen Z is discovering it, but there's a whole thing which is, like, they're saying, like, growing up or, like, maturing, getting older and realizing that Shoshana was the best character there's. This, like, resurgence of Shoshana that's, like, literally, like, where were we that we didn't like growing up and realizing she's the most mature one, she's the smartest one. She's the one that actually is going places, like, that kind of thing. There's this whole thing on TikTok now. Yes. Which we love.
Sasha Mamet
I love that, like, people seem to be watching it and still either rewatching it and, like, as an older generation still connecting with it, or like a younger generation connecting with it in this, like, with the same potency. Makes me. Makes me just feel like, really?
Amanda Hirsch
Have you rewatched it?
Sasha Mamet
Like, I haven't rewatched it, but I'm trying to get Lena to write a show spinoff. I've been, like, slowly working on her.
Amanda Hirsch
And I will see she seems receptive. Stop.
Sasha Mamet
I just, honestly, she's the only character that I. Not to say that I haven't enjoyed playing all these other characters, but, like, she's the only one that I, like, miss.
Amanda Hirsch
In your heart.
Sasha Mamet
I, like, miss her, which is so weird.
Amanda Hirsch
Did you see yourself in her?
Sasha Mamet
No, no, no. And maybe that's it. It's like, she. I'm like, I'm not, like, a method actor. I don't write backstories for my character. No shade to anyone who does. It's just not like how I roll.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
But she, to me, has always been like, do you have animals?
Amanda Hirsch
A dog. Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Do you ever get a feeling when you're on your way home where you want to, like, text your dog and tell him you're going to be home soon? Yeah, I feel that way about her.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, you want to know what she's up to?
Sasha Mamet
Yeah. Like, oh, my God, I wonder what she's doing today. Like, I want to, like, text her, and then I'm like, what did you.
Amanda Hirsch
Think about her, like, ending it with Ray?
Sasha Mamet
Oh, my God.
Amanda Hirsch
It broke my heart, really.
Sasha Mamet
I mean, I know. I don't think it was wrong necessarily. I do sometimes hold out hope, though, that maybe they, like, found each other again. I also just. I love Alex Karpovsky with such a. Like, a deep, deep love as a human and an actor. And, like, working with him was so joyous and so, yeah, it made me.
Amanda Hirsch
I love that Shosha's in your heart. Was it. So was there anything, though, about her that you did? Because you're so different, you're saying? Yeah, but was there anything about her? Her that is you?
Sasha Mamet
I think my husband always says that I shoot from the hip. That I'm a very.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, your husband, is it? Husband sounds like a dad, you know, shoot from the hip. It's such a. Like, Like a dad thing.
Sasha Mamet
Like a real, like, dad from the 1950s.
Amanda Hirsch
Exactly. Yeah. Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Just that I'm very like, I kind of react, like, spur of the moment to things and I often go off of, like, my first gut instinct.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
And then sometimes after the fact, like, we'll be having a conversation and I'll be like, oh, maybe we should write an email to that person and check in about, like. And he'll be like, what are you doing? And I'll be like, oh, yeah, the same way. And he, like, he will read an email 20 times before.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, my God. Same he said.
Sasha Mamet
But yeah, I'm just like, we do.
Amanda Hirsch
It, you do it. And sometimes it's bad, sometimes it's good, but you did it. Who cares?
Sasha Mamet
It's just. It's who we are.
Amanda Hirsch
It's out in the world.
Sasha Mamet
And I feel like she. But I'm also a huge, like, overthinker because I have anxiety. So I'm. I don't know, I. I contain multitudes. And I think she was similar in those two ways. Like, she was very kind of like, she vomited herself up into the world, but also was. Would spin about shit.
Amanda Hirsch
And she said such, like, she had, like, important messages and she did say what she felt like when she felt like the friend group was kind of like, ignoring her.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
She was like, I'm invisible to you guys. And like, she said to Marnie, like, she said what she was thinking, like your husband. Like, she was like, I am the awkward friend to Bella. What did she think she was. She was like, you're Bella from Twilight.
Sasha Mamet
Oh, that scene. They just. Someone. I saw that someone posted it where she's on the bed.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah, yeah. And she's like, I'm the awkward friend of what's her name? Bella Swan.
Sasha Mamet
I never.
Amanda Hirsch
From Twilight.
Sasha Mamet
I never read or saw Twilight.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, really? Well, you said it.
Sasha Mamet
I did say it.
Amanda Hirsch
And Sex in the City. Your character was upset. Are you. Did you love Sex in the City?
Sasha Mamet
Yeah, I. I watched and re. Watched and re. Watched that show. I was like, far.
Amanda Hirsch
Wait, so how do you feel about just like that? And just like that, Full disclosure, I.
Sasha Mamet
Have not watched it, first of all.
Amanda Hirsch
Now I'm more shocked because we talked about Yellowstone when you came in. And as a horse girl.
Sasha Mamet
Well, okay, so what? I didn't get to finish saying about Yellowstone. My husband and I started Yellowstone and were obsessed and I think it had it. Hadn't. There were a couple of seasons and we got. It was that type of situation where you're like, when are you gonna be home? I'm gonna be home at. Because, like, how many episodes can we get in tonight?
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
And we went so hard on it. And then I think we got a little honestly overwhelmed by the drama.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. Which one.
Sasha Mamet
Not in a bad way.
Amanda Hirsch
Would. Like, what we were.
Sasha Mamet
Like, we were feeling well.
Amanda Hirsch
So the horses must be a lot for you. Like when. Sometimes they shoot them and stuff.
Sasha Mamet
Oh, that's. I. I have a hard time.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
But like, my imaginary tmg. Tmg. Tmj.
Amanda Hirsch
The made up. Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
TMZ that we talked about at the beginning got worse because I was so stressed out about the family and, like, are they gonna sell the ranch and what's gonna happen?
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Like, you know, it became too much. The drama of Beth and Rip. Like, I just. So we took a break.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
And then we both ended up leaving to go do various jobs. And we haven't. So we need to pick it back up.
Amanda Hirsch
You have to make it a priority. Even though I can't say that, like, the new half of the season because of the drawing with Kevin Costner. Like, I can't. I don't know if I can recommend part two of season five.
Sasha Mamet
Understood.
Amanda Hirsch
But at least catch up to where you're left off.
Sasha Mamet
For sure.
Amanda Hirsch
Your new show laid.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Is on Peacock.
Sasha Mamet
It is.
Amanda Hirsch
When this comes out. It's gonna be out.
Sasha Mamet
Okay.
Amanda Hirsch
So pretend it's on P Guy.
Sasha Mamet
It's on P Guy. It's on P Guy now.
Amanda Hirsch
It's such a cool concept of a show.
Sasha Mamet
Thank you.
Amanda Hirsch
So you worked with Stephanie.
Sasha Mamet
I say thank you. Like, I wrote it. I did not.
Amanda Hirsch
Thank you.
Sasha Mamet
I wrote it so much because it's.
Amanda Hirsch
Kind of murder mystery.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
So Stephanie Shu, who plays the. She. All of her exes die.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
And she. You're her bestie. You go to find out why kind of thing.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah. All of her exes are dying in the order that she slept with them in.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Sasha Mamet
But not in a, like, run of the mill std way. In, like, very odd, often gruesome, bizarre ways.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
And so we're trying to. Yeah. We gotta go suss, like, what that's all about.
Amanda Hirsch
It's. So do you. Are you a murder mystery person?
Sasha Mamet
I love a murder mystery.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. Love, love, like, real life. Like podcasts and stuff like that.
Sasha Mamet
I am. I am into it, but I'm also a huge wuss. So sometimes true crime, like, I can't do like when I'm on my own traveling in a hotel room by myself.
Amanda Hirsch
Yes.
Sasha Mamet
But like, we were on a long drive a while ago and downloaded I'll Be Gone in the Dark on tape and listen to, like, six straight hours of it. And all of a sudden we turned to each other. We were like, should we, like, take a break from this?
Amanda Hirsch
Just, like, it's too much.
Sasha Mamet
Deep into the golden. What was it? Golden State Rapist? No, East Area Rapist. Anyways, but like, fictional murder mystery all day long. That's, like, my main source of reading material.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, really?
Sasha Mamet
When I'm working and I'm trying to memorize lines, I can't read anything that takes.
Amanda Hirsch
That makes sense.
Sasha Mamet
So I just like, I will. Oh, my God.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, so this is right up your.
Sasha Mamet
Alley, Ruth Ware, like, all day long. Give me all of that. What did I just read? Oh, my God. I just read one from the guy who wrote the Silent Patient, which was. My God, talk about twist. I don't. Alex McElenides, I think his last name is. He just wrote a new one that was.
Amanda Hirsch
So you can do that, Read a script, and it won't throw you off. Like, you need the murder mystery vibes.
Sasha Mamet
I just need something that, like, pulls me in.
Amanda Hirsch
So did this, like, really draw you in this show because it has, like, a little murder mystery vibes?
Sasha Mamet
I mean, I dug that for sure, but I think, like, more than anything, it was just the premise as a whole was something that I had never read or heard or seen.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Which is so rare in this time of, like.
Amanda Hirsch
And it's female led, which is so fun.
Sasha Mamet
Female led, female created, female run. Female.
Amanda Hirsch
And you have some cute cameos. I saw Phineas is one of the dudes. We have some Billie Eilish as well.
Sasha Mamet
Crazy cameos. Yeah, we have some crazy cameos on this show.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, secret ones that we don't. That are not out.
Sasha Mamet
We have a. We have a suit. Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
And Michael. I love that guy Michael.
Sasha Mamet
He's the best. He's the best. You married to Maya Erskine, who is also. The two of them, I mean, together.
Amanda Hirsch
So sweet. So it was a fun cast to work with and everything.
Sasha Mamet
Andre Highland. Amazing.
Amanda Hirsch
So wait, so is it going to come out? Like, is it bingeable? Is it one episode a week, once, all at once?
Sasha Mamet
It was a big debate, but I was really on the drop it once.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, yeah, yeah. That's always a debate for me, too. Because I do kind of like. Because something about the. When it bingeable is always like, yes, that's what you want, but sometimes when they make you wait, does it like.
Sasha Mamet
It's like a kid. You're like, I want to eat the whole cake.
Amanda Hirsch
Right.
Sasha Mamet
But will it make me sick?
Amanda Hirsch
Exactly. So everybody go watch it. It's going to be such a fun show. Laid. It's on peacock. All at once, people.
Sasha Mamet
All at once.
Amanda Hirsch
And so fun to see you on screen. And it's funny that you and Kaylee, your bestie.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
You're both in, like, murder mystery vibe shows.
Sasha Mamet
I know. We just did some press in LA.
Amanda Hirsch
Together because it's both peacock. I love it.
Sasha Mamet
So we got to, like, cross promote a little bit.
Amanda Hirsch
And the boop tattoo we need to talk about.
Sasha Mamet
Oh, yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Tattoos a lot of the theme. Because I love boop. I love the word boop. But I think we're saying a different. I think we have different. Your boop is the literal boop. Well, where I come from. Tell me where you and Kayla where.
Sasha Mamet
What do you think? What does boop mean to you?
Amanda Hirsch
Boop to me is more like boop, like, blah, blah, blah. Like, meaning, like. Okay, so let's say I post a picture of myself.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
And I'm like. Like, my room is so messy, but I also have, like, a diamond. Like, a giant diamond ring. So I basically posted it for everybody to see my diamond ring. So it'd be like, boop, Huge diamond ring. Kind of like surprise. Like, boop's. Like.
Sasha Mamet
Is it, like, a little winky? Is it like. It's, like, cheeky?
Amanda Hirsch
It's a little like, boop. Like, Jennifer Aniston commented on my post. No big deal. You know what I mean?
Sasha Mamet
So it's like. It's like the bubbly version of nbd, huh?
Amanda Hirsch
Maybe. But, like, kind of like. Right, okay. But like, kind of the one that, like. Like you're saying without saying or, like, you don't want to, like. You know what I mean? Like, boop. Kim Kardashian was on my pod.
Sasha Mamet
So it's like a humble brag.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. Yes.
Sasha Mamet
So boop is. Your boop is humble.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, I literally made merch saying boop. And I don't know how to explain my boob. I just know what.
Sasha Mamet
You have merch that says boo.
Amanda Hirsch
I do. I'll sen. What? I know. I got really into the boop. I would say it all the time. That's why everyone. When you guys got the tattoo, everybody sent it to me. Like, everybody.
Sasha Mamet
That's so interesting.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. And then. But then I saw you guys doing the nose thing, so that's when it.
Sasha Mamet
Started was Kaylee in our chemistry read, improv doing that to me and went boop. And then we just started calling each other Boop. And then boop sort of became a catch all phrase for like our nicknames for each other. And also sort of like. Like it's like a term of endearment.
Amanda Hirsch
Like you call each other Boo, we.
Sasha Mamet
Call each other Boop.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay, so it's not really the nose thing.
Sasha Mamet
I mean, it is. It is.
Amanda Hirsch
It's either.
Sasha Mamet
It's an emotional nose thing, which also just means, like, I love you.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Sasha Mamet
But like. But yeah, it's also our nickname for each other. So.
Amanda Hirsch
Boop is so multi.
Sasha Mamet
Boop can be whatever the you want, apparently. You know how like, love is love.
Amanda Hirsch
Love is love.
Sasha Mamet
Poop is boop.
Amanda Hirsch
Boop is boop. That's why we can't even explain it.
Sasha Mamet
Because it is. Because it is.
Amanda Hirsch
It's just so good. Boop. You could just use it. Anything. You could use it for anything.
Sasha Mamet
Whatever you want.
Amanda Hirsch
Let's do some quick, quick girls cues before you go.
Sasha Mamet
Oh, my God.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay, what's your favorite utensil?
Sasha Mamet
Probably spoon.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. Is your favorite holiday Halloween? Like, Josh, what is it?
Sasha Mamet
Christmas.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, wait, you're not, are you? You're Jewish, but you're half Jewish, half Buddhist. I thought. No.
Sasha Mamet
No.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay, bye. Wikipedia. That's made up.
Sasha Mamet
Well, I mean, my mom is a practicing Buddhist, but not how you. She became a Buddhist when I was like 15.
Amanda Hirsch
So how did. When did Christmas.
Sasha Mamet
Well, I grew up first with my mom predominantly until a little bit later in life, and she went ham. She. My grandmother mostly went like, hard on Christmas.
Amanda Hirsch
On Christmas. Wait, do you do Jewish stuff too?
Sasha Mamet
Like, when I was living with my dad, I would, but like, I wasn't.
Amanda Hirsch
Like, Shosh is way more Jewish than you.
Sasha Mamet
Shosh is way more Jewish than me.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay, so Christmas is fave.
Sasha Mamet
I would say, like. Like, I didn't really have, like a practicing religion growing up. Like, my mom didn't really introduce me to a religion growing up and then didn't really have an introduction to Judaism until I moved in with my dad when I was older. But yeah, so not really.
Amanda Hirsch
Not really a religion, not really a religious person. Yeah, but love Christmas.
Sasha Mamet
I love Christmas.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay. I asked you about social breaking up with Ray. Like, are you pro. Like, it was hard for you, but you think it was the right thing?
Sasha Mamet
I think it was the right thing at the time.
Amanda Hirsch
At the time you're like, but maybe in the spin off.
Sasha Mamet
But.
Amanda Hirsch
But maybe in the spinoff.
Sasha Mamet
Who doesn't love a rekindled.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, my God. First of all, if there's a petition, please send it, like, to get to Lena.
Sasha Mamet
Fantastic.
Amanda Hirsch
Would you. Did you ever think of doing, like, a re watch pod? I saw that there were, like.
Sasha Mamet
There was, like, I did the girls rewatch pod.
Amanda Hirsch
You did it? You were a guest on one or you did it?
Sasha Mamet
Oh, like, would I create my own? A podcast is a podcast.
Amanda Hirsch
It's a lot of work. It's a lot of work. There is a. You went on the girls rewatch pod.
Sasha Mamet
I did.
Amanda Hirsch
Oh, cute. I love that.
Sasha Mamet
It was fun.
Amanda Hirsch
Another iconic show, Sline, is when you find out that Jemima. I mean, Jessa. Because Jessa is Jemima, though. Like, maybe you're not Josh, but Jessa is Jemima. Yeah, she was on the pod. We know. You say to her, are you on Facebook? And then you're like, you're so fucking classy that you're not on Facebook. Like, that's another line that's stayed with me forever because it's so true. Like, back now, it's like, Facebook is weird, but when Facebook was cool and you weren't on Facebook, you know, how cool was someone on Facebook?
Sasha Mamet
I was just having this conversation the other day about, like, are we heading towards a time where social media will become, like, uncool?
Amanda Hirsch
Like, yeah, if someone doesn't have an Instagram, like, of course they're cool.
Sasha Mamet
Well, yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
Or. Or a psycho. We need to know.
Sasha Mamet
One in the same.
Amanda Hirsch
One in the same. We said Sex in the City girl. Is there, like, a fave character?
Sasha Mamet
I mean, growing up watching it, obviously I was obsessed with Carrie and just, like, wanted to be her.
Amanda Hirsch
By the way, TikTok is loving on Cho and turning on Carrie. I don't know if you guys know that's a thing.
Sasha Mamet
I do not have TikTok, so I'm not aware of this.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah. So they are turning on Carrie. They're saying, like, how did people ever like her? And actually, the clips that these fuckers are choosing, like, they do paint Carrie in a bad light. Like, if she'll, like, show up to Big Store and be like, merry Christmas. I mean, you know, she is. She has her cringy moment.
Sasha Mamet
Here's the thing, too, though. She's not disliking, like, the person we were talking about earlier who, like. Like, do we think Carrie has anxiety? I think that people who don't have anxiety and who have self confidence.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Are a rare breed.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
In today's day.
Amanda Hirsch
And Carrie didn't.
Sasha Mamet
I mean, I think that she, like, is feeling herself. And maybe that's what people don't like because they're like, well, her. I don't feel that way right about myself.
Amanda Hirsch
Right. She's. She is a lot. I don't know. I feel like rewatching that. I. I'd be afraid to turn so Carrie then, but maybe somebody else now.
Sasha Mamet
Honestly, Are we talking about my favorite, who I think I most like?
Amanda Hirsch
Fave?
Sasha Mamet
I don't know. I also think that that show is very much. It's like an alchemy of all of them.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
You know what I mean?
Amanda Hirsch
But I feel like Charlotte for you a little bit.
Sasha Mamet
That's funny. I was gonna say that.
Amanda Hirsch
I know you were gonna. I felt it. I felt it from you. I felt it. So I was telling you. So many show signs that I loved. Is there one that stayed with you, like, after all these years that you love or that you quote?
Sasha Mamet
Oh, my God. I mean, I don't know. There are a lot.
Amanda Hirsch
There are a lot. Do people say to you on the street? Do people come up to you and.
Sasha Mamet
Say lines to me?
Amanda Hirsch
Like, lines or. They call me shows. They call you shows?
Sasha Mamet
They scream Shosh at me a lot.
Amanda Hirsch
Okay.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah.
Amanda Hirsch
How do you feel about that?
Sasha Mamet
I mean, anytime I'm recognized, I get uncomfortable.
Amanda Hirsch
Yeah.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah. Because I just, like, don't. I think that there's a protective function. I don't know if other actors have this, but, like, when I'm making shit, I feel. Forget that people can see it. Like, I forget that it's going to be like a public commodity in the world to consume.
Amanda Hirsch
I totally get it. Like, I say stuff in the pot and I'm like, no one's going to hear it.
Sasha Mamet
Yeah. I just think that it's like, oh, yeah. We're just all here surrounded by, like, this huge set and all of these people.
Amanda Hirsch
I get it.
Sasha Mamet
And it's just for funsies, so. Yeah. But I. I don't know. I love that. I love that people love her because I love her.
Amanda Hirsch
I know. And I'm so happy to hear, like, this is the best news that you're. You're on this train to get a fucking show spin off.
Sasha Mamet
