I want you to reframe it for yourself. It's not that you're just doing one more compulsion. It's not that you're just going to check one more time, and that's it. You are doing a behavior that feeds the disorder that's destroying your life. So therefore, you are now destroying your life. This is not happening outside of you. This is you causing the behavior. Right. And you have to be very accountable. I know it hurts to hear that, but you have to be very accountable for your actions here, that if you are choosing to do a compulsion, you are choosing to make OCD worse. And from that point, are you going to do the compulsion? And sometimes you may say, you know what, Ali? I'm not strong enough right now. I'm going to do the compulsion, even though I know this is what's destroying my life, even though I know that I'm causing my own situation here. But a lot of the times you might say, you know what? I'm strong enough to say no. And that's what I want you to get to. Emergency session is available. The link is in the description.
