In this final episode of Season 5, Neal sits down with Kevin Kuster, author of From Playboy to Prodigal Son which recounts how the former Playboy photographer turned devout follower of Jesus. Kevin shares how an undiagnosed learning disability in childhood planted the lie that he was “stupid” and how that false belief caused decades of striving, shame, and imposter syndrome.Through a powerful encounter with God and the gentle deliverance at an Unbound Conference, Kevin gained freedom from fear and self-condemnation. He recounts the moment he sensed God saying to him, “I will never leave you.” From the elaborate parties in Hollywood to receiving prayer, he pulls back the curtain on power, celebrity, and pornography, sharing how hefound salvation where he least expected it, in the arms of a loving God.Kevin’s story tells of childhood humiliation, then worldly success, and finally the grace of confession, forgiveness, and reconciliation — including a profound healing moment with his father. He is now an inspirational speaker and co-founder of Watts of Love, a global nonprofit that distributes life-changing solar lights to people living in extreme poverty. This episode speaks directly to anyone carrying hidden shame, battling addiction, feeling trapped in hopelessness, or wondering if freedom is truly possible. With compassion, humor, and profound honesty, Neal and Kevin remind listeners that no wound is too deep, no past too broken, and no person beyond the reach of the Father’s love.Find From Playboy to Prodigal Son Help us continue to bring you more episodes and donate hereSee our upcoming eventsSign up for new episode drop alertsSign up for our EnewsRelease: May 2026Music by Christian HarperProduction by Christian Harper

In this episode, Jenn shares a message she gave at a recent women’s retreat about God’s invitation to experience His blessed life through Jesus. Every invitation calls for a response, and Jenn explores that response through three powerful “R’s”: Return, Repair, and Rest.Return reminds us that God is always pursuing us in love. It begins with recognizing our need for Him. Jenn and Jacqueline discuss the ways God draws us back to Himself, sometimes through dreams or interventions.Repair requires acknowledging what happened and then problem-solving about what to do differently. Jesus emphasized repentance, or metanoia, the Greek word for a transformed mind that leads to a changed action. Through Him, true repair and restoration are possible in our relationships with others and with the Lord.Rest invites us to live rooted, knowing that God’s love does not waiver. We can dwell in the Father's blessing—knowing that we are sons and daughters. Jesus himself rested and showed us that letting go of the 'to-do' list can sometimes be a path to provision. And for a little trivia fun: True or False — Matt Lozano is surprisingly handy with home improvements? Join Neal Lozano in this powerful and deeply personal conversation as he speaks with Kim Zember, speaker, missionary, and author of Restless Heart: My Struggle with Life and Sexuality. Kim shares her powerful message about the greater love and freedom found in Jesus, which is the foundation of her ministry, Boldly Beloved.Kim describes the boldness of her ministry as coming from the radical love she is continually learning and receiving from God the Father. She explains that her ministry helps people move from feeling unloved to becoming "beloved" by God, emphasizing that the word beloved comes from two words: Be Loved. The heart of her message is to trust that God is good and ask Him for an encounter.During the discussion, Kim shares her personal struggles, wrestling with identity, sexuality, and brokenness. She highlights that the opposite of any sin is God, saying “Come as you are. Let Him encounter you, because when you meet a greater love, the lesser loves aren't as appealing.” Together, they unpack themes of shame, intimacy, spiritual healing, and the power of experiencing God personally, not just knowing about Him.Kim concludes by sharing about her mission work in Africa through Unforgotten Faces, helping orphans and widows, and encourages listeners toward "Complete Victory" by trusting that God is not finished.Help us continue to bring you more episodes and donate hereSee our upcoming eventsSign up for new episode drop alertsSign up for our EnewsRelease: April 2026Music by Christian HarperProduction by Jacqueline Harper

Join Matt and Jenn as they discuss the upcoming film,That They May Be One, with Heart of the Father board member Adriana Gonzales. In this final episode of our book study, Jenn, Matt, and Lisa bring everything together by exploring two powerful themes: charismatic prayer and the ultimate call to become like Him. What does it really mean to pray in the Spirit, and how does that kind of prayer actually transform us?The three talk about how charismatic prayer isn’t just about emotional expression or spiritual gifts, but about surrender, intimacy, and allowing the Holy Spirit to shape us from within. As they reflect on the final chapter, we turn our attention to the deeper promise at the heart of the Christian life: that through grace, we are being conformed more and more into the likeness of Christ. This episode is both a conclusion and an invitation to continue seeking the Holy Spirit, to remain open in prayer, and to trust that God is faithfully at work in us.Because in the end, prayer isn’t just something we do… it’s how we become who we were made to be. In this week’s episode of Open Doors Podcast, Emily, Jacqueline, and Lisa continue their Lenten book study on Personal Prayer: A Guide to Receiving the Father’s Love, diving into chapters on Scripture, Eucharistic adoration, and devotional prayer. Jacqueline, Jenn, and Lisa continue our Open Doors podcast walk through Personal Prayer: A Guide for Receiving the Father’s Love. In Chapter 6, they discuss the honest, sometimes uncomfortable journey that exists within the human condition caused by original sin and one’s own limitations. They talk about the temptation to discouragement, the “pit of desolation,” and how the Five Keys of Unbound help remove barriers that keep us from experiencing the Father’s love. Jacqueline shares how God met her in a very dark season and later used that experience to help her accompany others in their dark place. Jenn reflects on Jesus’ tender encounter with the apostle Peter by the fire on the shore of the Sea of Tiberias and how the Lord approaches each of us with the same mercy. The three explore St. Thérèse’s Little Way as an invitation to bow low, surrender, and embrace our littleness, as opposed to just “trying harder.” Under Chapter 7, they discuss the beauty and stability of liturgical prayer, which the authors describe as “Heaven on Earth,” and how it can be a call to enter, respond, and participate.Find the Lenten Study Reading ScheduleHelp Us Make Room for One More and donate hereSee our upcoming eventsSign up for new episode drop alertsRelease: March 2026Music by Christian HarperProduction by Christian Harper

In this episode Jacqueline, Jenn, and Lisa cover Chapters 4 and 5 of our Lenten study of Personal Prayer: A Guide for Receiving the Father’s Love. These three examine the depths of loving God by touching on themes like surrender, self-absorption, suffering, and praying to a hidden God. The Lord is always drawing us to himself, giving us faith. Coupled with our natural efforts, however feeble, our faith is met and sustained by Him. Jenn likens Matt’s call into ministry to an example from Chapter 4 and emphasizes their surety of God’s timing in the moment. She also speaks about her experience in reading Personal Prayer, feeling challenged to full abandonment and pursuit of the Lord. She speaks of offering up suffering to Him rather than allowing for self pity or self absorption.Lisa highlights the Psalms as the “Christian’s prayerbook,” giving examples of the Psalmist’s words that aid the heartcry within varied places of human experience. Jesus is our example of turning to God when feeling forsaken and He will rebuild amidst divine silence. They conclude this conversation with a deep prayer surrounding words from St. Paul of the Cross that speak of surrender and abandonment to God’s will.Just when you think this book can't get any better, it does.
