Who leads the amazing team at Patti's 1880's Settlement? When we answer, a woman, and then disclose there are 2 of them, eyebrows raise for sure! How does it work and is it working out? On this episode of Peddlin Pork with Patti's - Take 5, Beverly talks candidly with Ann Martin and Terri Vaughn, coCEOs, asking 5 impromptu questions on how they became the coCEOs of one of the number one Restaurant Destinations in Kentucky. How many female CEOs are there in the bustiness world today?A year-long research found that the percentage of women filling senior management positions has grown to 29% in 2019, the highest to be recorded thus far (Grant Thornton, 2020). There has also been a noticeable increase in female CEOs over the last decade. According to an analysis by Challenger, Gray & Christmas (2019), the apparel industry hired the most female CEO replacements (67%), followed by real estate (42%), financial services (24.5%), and the food industry (23%).While there are still more male executives than females, the corporate world seems to move gradually toward a direction that puts more women behind the chief executive officer (CEO) desk.Support the show

How funny it just happened to be Molly's work anniversary and we were proud to learn a little more about Molly's world outside of Patti's and what Patti's means to her! Support the show

I get asked often, why did you start this Podcast? My answer, with so many cool employees that work behind the scenes, its so fun to bring them in to record a podcast without any notice! Unscripted and off the cuff, we bring employees in and hit the record button and we never know what is going to happen. Rick kept us laughing with details of how he went from retirement to Patti's employee al in a day! This one was so fun, we knew it would be as soon as Rick sat down with his check 1,23...let the laughs began!Support the show

Early morning, February 5th, 2018 I had the unbelievable phone call that Patti's was on fire. My first thought was of course the safety of our staff and guests. Then secondly, where do we go from here. We were blessed that the few staff that were in the building (it was early morning, prior to opening) safely left the kitchen with no injuries. Our charming unique old restaurant was not as fortunate. Once the building was deemed safe to enter, the damage found was beyond repair and the start of the long rebuild would begin. But were do you begin if you have no historical operating or payroll information to start? In this episode we discuss how the Smartpath Superheros were able to retrieve critical backups allowing us to merge the "Old Settlement computers" with the "Brand new Restaurant computers" A unbelievable task, with all the fun of working along side cats and critters that lived on the 6 acre tract that is the home of one of the most visited tourist attractions in the State of Kentucky, Patti's 1880's Settlement. A super fun chat with Smarthpath Superheros, Willie and Charlie on our latest episode of Peddlin Pork Podcast.Support the show
