Vaccine Preventable Illnesses - Episode 5 - Haemophilus Influenzae Type B & Pneumococcus

Target Audience: This activity is directed to physicians, medical students, nurse practitioners, nurses, and physician assistants.

Objectives: Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: • Describe Haemophilus Influenzae Type B & Pneumococcus pathogens and their infectivity. • Apply appropriate treatment strategies for Haemophilus Influenzae Type B & Pneumococcus in unvaccinated individuals and evaluate vaccine effectiveness. • Assess the historical effectiveness of Haemophilus Influenzae Type B & Pneumococcus vaccination in the United States.
