Photo Vogue was launched in 2011 by Vogue Italia Brand Visual Director, Alessia Glaviano. At a time when photography was already ubiquitous online, Glaviano felt that what was missing was a curated platform dedicated to it.
Conceived as a community with a strong sense of belonging, as of today, Photo Vogue counts over 230.000 photographers, from amateurs to professionals, hailing from all over the world, who share a passion for photography and the desire to help each other and grow together. Anyone can register and upload images of all genres, from portraiture to reportage, fashion and street photography. Curating a pool of incredible image-makers from all around the world, Photo Vogue is a great example of diversity behind the camera.

In The Picture - Photo Vogue Festival 2020
Oct 30, 202000:08:33Tap to summarize"In the picture - Shifting perspectives in fashion photography" is an exhibition curated by Alexandra von Fuerst, Camila Falquez, Nadine Ijewere and Ruth Ossai for Photo Vogue Festival 2020. They are all “contemporary socially conscious fashion photographers”. They belong to a new generation of artists whose aesthetics are a hybrid of genres, and are themselves a driving force for change. Their work engages in a dialogue with visual arts and journalism, as well as with an assimilated desire to balance out the various levels of representation. The work of Camila, Nadine, Alexandra and Ruth avoids being didactic whilst touching on issues of gender, race, and womanhood, and is simultaneously glamorous, vibrant and powerful. For this exhibition, Photo Vogue Festival 2020 gives space to their vision, initiating a four-way dialogue where the artists are also curators. Voice Antony Bowden, curated by Elisa Pervinca Bellini.
