Drea Nicole
No, I ain't spanking your thick ass.
Lex P
It was a little thick.
Drea Nicole
He not the donkey.
Lex P
And he wanted me to spank. The weight.
Drea Nicole
The donkey.
Lex P
Okay, donkey.
Drea Nicole
Uh. Oh, bitch, what the f.
Lex P
Okay, donkey. Ain't that how Shrey say it?
Drea Nicole
That's how I'm laughing. Cause you knew what I was trying to say, but I couldn't think of the line. What's up, y'? All? It's your girl Lex P. And it's
Lex P
your girl Drea Nicole.
Drea Nicole
And you are tuned in to another
Lex P
episode of Poor Mind where a drunk mind speaks sober.
Drea Nicole
Thought. We ain't got no guests today. We ain't got no guests today. And first things first, let me say Ty is still here. God damn it, please.
Lex P
Cause, baby, I mean, they be about to have a fit. I know.
Drea Nicole
Like, we have to go through every
Lex P
week World War iii and it's bitch. Oh, my God. Traveling over the weekend. And somebody in TSA was like, I'm watching you tonight. I was like, be nice in the comments. I'm not gonna be there. My homegirl is doing it. But y' all gotta be nice to them.
Drea Nicole
I mean, they be in the comments. Can people take a vacation? Do y' all get pt? Can she get a little right?
Lex P
Somebody said she could take pto, but not too much. They said, my girl be needing a break. Y' all need to be kind, okay? Be understanding. People have things that they need to do. And my girl be booked and busy as well.
Drea Nicole
You know what I'm saying?
Lex P
Multiple business owners. Stop playing with her.
Drea Nicole
So what's T?
Lex P
I don't know. What is T? I'm trying to think. I don't know. It's been living, existing, being happy.
Drea Nicole
As you should. Blissful. I have a story.
Lex P
Ooh, Okay.
Drea Nicole
I got something. I got something. Well, it's not my story. Y' all know I'm an avid TikTok scroller.
Lex P
You are.
Drea Nicole
And people. Cause people are constantly tagging me and stuff. So I like to interact and, you know, do the things. I got tagged. Some people kept tagging me in this post, and it was 19 minutes long. I was like, I'm not watching this. Like, I'm not watching it, but, like, somebody was like, oh, my God, Ex P, you are a blessing. And I'm like, let me see what this is. It was late at night. I'm watching my, you know, Fruit AI videos. I'm watching the fruits are. I was like, let me make a little time. So I put it on two times, speed. And I want to give this guy a shout out. I'm not going to tell the whole story because it's a long story, but shout out to him because he's a good storyteller. His name is Himbo Poppy, and he's a truck driver. And he was telling a story about how when you are a truck driver, they will overwork you if, you know, you allow it, or things like that. And he was like, how? He almost fell asleep at the wheel. And he was like, I almost lost my life. He said, lex P. Saved my life. Cause I was listening to Poor Mines and she screamed and it woke him up.
Lex P
Oh, my God.
Drea Nicole
He said he was steering off the road and he said. I literally. He was like, I was listening to Draya and Lex P. He was like, I was listening to them. And I was like, okay. It kept me entertained. Then as the story went on, he was like, I fell asleep again. And he was like. And it was the moment on the podcast where she screamed and it woke me up. And mind you, the way he's telling the story is very funny, but it kind of made me emotional a little bit because it's little things like that that just happened. That it was like, okay, it's not your time right now. So things just happened in place. So it was like, oh, my God, friend. It was such a good story. So long story short, if you listen in to Poor Minds, we'll save your life.
Lex P
Poor Minds is out here saving lives. Okay? Don't play with us. We're living in our purpose.
Drea Nicole
Yes.
Lex P
And our purpose is to save y'. All. Clearly.
Drea Nicole
And somebody in the comments said, lex P. And the P is for protector. I said my hooting hollering is here for something.
Lex P
Born to be a protector.
Drea Nicole
Yes.
Lex P
Word to Beyonce.
Drea Nicole
You know what I'm saying?
Lex P
I'm out here protecting folks. That's good.
Drea Nicole
You know, and honestly, like I said, maybe it was because I was just sleepy, but it was just really emotional because he was like, He's a great storyteller, mind you. It was a 19 minute video. I put it on two times speed, but I ended up just listening to it. Cause it was a good story. I love good storytellers, and I think that's things that we need.
Lex P
19 minutes, though, is insane.
Drea Nicole
It's crazy. But I put it on two times speed, and I was entertained. So it ended up being 10 minutes.
Lex P
You know, you could have shortened that sheet a little bit. He could have put it on.
Drea Nicole
He could have. No, I'm talking about y'. All. I'm talking about him.
Lex P
He could have did. He could have shortened that sheet.
Drea Nicole
I ain't gonna lie. He definitely.
Lex P
Hey, you could have put it on two times.
Drea Nicole
I did. That's what I said.
Lex P
It was too.
Drea Nicole
10 minutes. Cause I put it on two times. It was 19. I put it on two times. Now, I ain't gonna lie. He shorten that shit up. But it was entertaining, though. I wasn't mad at it. I wasn't mad at it.
Lex P
Don't tell him to shut up. He was almost permanently shut up.
Drea Nicole
All right, Pink. All right, Pink. But shout out to him. It was a good story, though. He told an amazing story.
Lex P
You made it to tell the story.
Drea Nicole
He made it.
Lex P
And that's the most important part.
Drea Nicole
Oh, my God.
Lex P
Never would've made it without you. He never would've.
Drea Nicole
Craziness. I know the girl.
Lex P
That's how you know Christina Aguilera.
Drea Nicole
No, I'm not talking about.
Lex P
She always screaming, you know, True. Okay. We out here doing the Lord's work, though.
Drea Nicole
Can we talk about Christina Aguilera?
Lex P
Talk about what?
Drea Nicole
Because people were dragging me and they thought I never said she couldn't sing right. And I need that to be just put out there.
Lex P
Okay?
Drea Nicole
From my words, from my mouth. I know. I. I think she can sing. I grew up listening to her, you know, hey, why don't, you know, you
Lex P
don't gotta do it again.
Drea Nicole
No, I wasn't doing it again. I'm talking about come on over. When come on over dropped, it was a pop record that we were like, oh, my God, this is good. And it was kinda like that pop music that had an R and B. Hey, boy, don't you. It had an R and B flair to it.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
So I wasn't doing it again. I was just giving an example of what she did for the black girlies.
Lex P
Xina had the head.
Drea Nicole
She is beautiful in every single way.
Lex P
She had plenty hits and she could really sing. Like, I feel like she can sing. Like, she just sing with soul. Like, she sing like them British people.
Drea Nicole
Well, this is the thing, okay?
Lex P
The British whites.
Drea Nicole
I think that a lot of times people get it. They get mad because she does a lot of runs, and sometimes the runs may be unnecessary, but she can sing now. I wouldn't compare her to, like, the British singers.
Lex P
I wouldn't say she's soulful.
Drea Nicole
She's not soulful to me. She's just one with a powerful voice. She has powerful vocals. I wouldn't say she's soul. That's not soul to me. You know what I'm saying?
Lex P
It's a little soulful to me. She was on Moulin Rouge. She was. Well, it was her and Pink. They both would say.
Drea Nicole
Exactly. Her and pink have the same. They do. I would put her and pink in the same category. And neither are soulful.
Lex P
I think they.
Drea Nicole
Pink is not soulful.
Lex P
Pink is not soulful.
Drea Nicole
No. And her and Christina sing alike to me. I don't know.
Lex P
Christina gives me more diva like. She gives more like.
Drea Nicole
I'll give her diva.
Lex P
Like the Whitneys, the Mariahs. Like, she. Okay, stretching it.
Drea Nicole
Okay. Yeah. You took it a little. I'll pump em. It's all right. You gonna have to dial it back.
Lex P
Well, you know, I just don't understand why on the Internet they always trying to put bad bitches against each other.
Drea Nicole
Agree.
Lex P
We are all bad bitches in this room. And Christina is a bad bitch, too. And we love her and we would love for her to come on the show. I hope I didn't. I hope me calling her a bad bitch is not offensive to me.
Drea Nicole
No, she knows she's a bad. She was a bad bitch and dirty.
Lex P
But I'm just saying, like, we love Christina. We are millennials. Like, that was our era. We grew up on Christina and Brittany and Backstreet Boys and NSync. Like, that was our era.
Drea Nicole
Mandy Moore, too.
Lex P
Mandy Moore. Come on over. Come on over.
Drea Nicole
No, that was Christina. Oh, shit. It's okay. But you was cooking.
Lex P
No, Manny.
Drea Nicole
I'm craving for you. I'm missing you.
Lex P
Maybe I don't. Maybe I don't know Mandy the way I think I do.
Drea Nicole
I don't know Mandy. Y' all don't know Mandy. You lost me on that one, Kandy.
Lex P
I don't know that song.
Drea Nicole
Wow. Do you know Aaron Carter died?
Lex P
Aaron Carter. Ben died. He died a few years ago and I was torn up. They told me people all over. All you got, come get it.
Drea Nicole
From the left to the right, make noise.
Lex P
I was tore up. Me in school. I just. We're losing our legends.
Drea Nicole
We are losing our legends.
Lex P
We are losing our legends. And that's why I feel like it is imperative this year that I go to as many concerts as I can, because I just don't know if it's gonna be they last. Everybody keep dying. I'm like, why is so many people is dying and have never died before? It be stressing me out. And I know it's. We all know it's coming. You know what I mean? Everybody gotta. Everybody's gonna. Every dog will have their day. But at the end of the day,
Drea Nicole
the day gonna end.
Lex P
It's just. It be me up. It be me up that our legends are dying. Like, I. One person that I was really, like, distraught that I couldn't go see in concert was Frankie Beverly. And he just. He ain't have no business dying before. I went to a concert and forgot to put my white linen suit on. He didn't have no business dying. And that really fucked me up.
Drea Nicole
He had a. He was in the neighborhood of the business.
Lex P
What would you mean?
Drea Nicole
He was a little older. No, it was maybe not have been his business. No, but it was. They were in the competition.
Lex P
He was not in the neighborhood of the business. I feel like when people. If you die in your. Cause I think he was in his 70s.
Drea Nicole
Todd.
Lex P
I'm fucking it up right now. Okay. I was gonna say, can Todd tell us how old Frankie Beverly was? If he was still in his 70s? He was not in the business.
Drea Nicole
Okay, that's fair.
Lex P
He was 77 years old. He had about a good 10 more
Drea Nicole
years okay, that's fair, that's fair. You right, you right.
Lex P
Like I feel like now when people be in they 80s and 90s and people be like, oh my God, I can't believe they died. I be like, can you not? It was about that time. It was time to wrap this shit up.
Drea Nicole
Okay, I'm not mad at you, I'm mad. Okay?
Lex P
But I like people be thinking, people supposed to live forever. Like I think if you get to be in your 80s, that's a ripe old age. Like I feel like my daddy was robbed of his life.
Drea Nicole
How was your dad?
Lex P
My dad was in his 60s. Damn, he didn't even make it to seven. And the funny thing, he was about to turn 70 that year. But he died before his 70th birthday. Like I feel like he was right. Like he could have lived another 20 something years.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, he could have gave us a hot 20. He could have gave us another 20.
Lex P
Like I feel like when people say, oh, they die young or they died too soon, it'd be them type of situations. Or like when somebody is in their 20s, somebody is in their 30s, when N is 89.
Drea Nicole
Like Betty White was 101.
Lex P
Yes, she lived a very long time.
Drea Nicole
She did. The last golden girl left.
Lex P
Are we shocked that she passed?
Drea Nicole
It was just because it was like on New Year's. Evil.
Lex P
It was. She could have, she barely made it to the next.
Drea Nicole
She did make it.
Lex P
That's what I'm saying.
Drea Nicole
Damn.
Lex P
Barely got out, never would have made it.
Drea Nicole
Woo.
Lex P
But I just feel like, yeah, I don't know, like it just be having me scared. Cause I'm like, damn. The only person that we have left that I really do wanna see in concert from like the bab Boomer generation is Patti LaBelle.
Drea Nicole
I knew you was gonna say it
Lex P
cuz she's the only one left.
Drea Nicole
Well, I seen Anita, so I'm good on that.
Lex P
Yeah, I never seen Anita but you know, shout out to auntie, I'mma keep it cute cuz.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, she going to slap the out of you.
Lex P
Ooh, if she can catch me.
Drea Nicole
Oh she might. She mean as bitch. If she can catch.
Lex P
If she can catch me. But what I'm saying is. Oh, I'm not about to say nothing negative. I was just going to say like people been saying. Well I've seen people say that like, you know, it's not the same as it used to be.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lex P
When you see her in concert, it
Drea Nicole
was good, it was good. I enjoyed it, I think because Babyface opened for her and he is. He puts on a show, bitch. He was cutting up and he was icy as fuck. That nigga had on a Cuban.
Lex P
What did you call me? You told me about it. I remember that.
Drea Nicole
Yes. So I think that's what people are probably comparing it to. Cause they saw Babyface first and then she came out.
Lex P
But then she popped out with a Cuban on, period.
Drea Nicole
As you should. She a bad bitch still. And that's what I wanted to talk about, too. A lot of our legends. I'm sorry. Back to Christina.
Lex P
Okay.
Drea Nicole
Whatever she got done, bitch is tea. No. She literally looks so good. I saw a picture of her. It's that type of work, and you're like, this is something not normal. What did you get done? Like, what is it? She looks so good, bro. She looks so good.
Lex P
Yes, she do. She looks really good. I think money. I mean, it's having money. Like, when you have money, aging is not something that you're worried about. I think it's only something that, like, people be worried about who don't have the. The resources, I guess. But, like, if you have the resources,
Drea Nicole
yeah, you're gonna look good. She looks damn good.
Lex P
Or when you don't take care of yourself. Because also, sometimes resources is not the issue. People just don't take care of their body. People don't take care of themselves, so. And it's even people with money. It'd be some people with money who prioritize health and wellness. And then there's some people with money who. They want to go out and drink every day and eat. So it's like they're not aging as gracefully.
Drea Nicole
Right, agreed.
Lex P
It's also about that people don't think about that type of stuff.
Drea Nicole
And it's also genetics. A big, big, big factor is genetics. A big factor is genetics. People don't like to talk about that. But, I mean, you can't fight it. You can to a certain extent. You know, I know some. Well, I know some niggas that was born old.
Lex P
Not Benjamin, but yeah, some niggas never mind. He was young, but he was old.
Drea Nicole
No, no, no.
Lex P
He was born old. Yeah, he was born old and he was reversing.
Drea Nicole
He was like 84. He looked like peony.
Lex P
Yeah, but when he was born, he looked old.
Drea Nicole
I know a lot. I know some people like that, except
Lex P
that they not reversing it.
Drea Nicole
That shit getting worse.
Lex P
Yeah, they started off old and it keep progressing.
Drea Nicole
Paul, Paul, I'm telling you, it is genetics that can't do nothing about it. Some people just look older.
Lex P
Do you think that's some bullshit, though, when people be saying, like, oh, we black. We don't need sunscreen, we don't need Botox, we don't need night creams and all this. I just use Vaseline. I just use Dove soap and Vaseline. That's all I need. Cause we black.
Drea Nicole
I only use Dove salt. And we can tell, babe. We can tell, and that's okay.
Lex P
Vaseline was a lubricant back in the day.
Drea Nicole
Back in the day. You right.
Lex P
If you still using Vaseline in 2026.
Drea Nicole
No, it kept your clean.
Lex P
What?
Drea Nicole
Ice Cube said.
Lex P
Lil Wayne actually said that, too.
Drea Nicole
What?
Lex P
Yeah. Cause, you know, we just had Reginae on the show, period.
Drea Nicole
Poo.
Lex P
He said, if you don't like your nigga, fuck you. No Vaseline.
Drea Nicole
That's what Ice Cube said. Ice Cube did.
Lex P
That nigga Dirty N was using Vaseline back in the day.
Drea Nicole
But I could do what, you know for what?
Lex P
What are you asking? I literally just said what Lil Wayne said in the song.
Drea Nicole
Okay, I.
Lex P
If you don't like it, nigga, fuck you. No Vaseline. So that mean it's gonna be rough.
Drea Nicole
Ugh. But that hurts his dick, too. So we both gonna be in pain. No pain, no game. Okay.
Lex P
Speaking of another legend that died that
Drea Nicole
we never got to see. Betty Wright. Oh, Betty gone, bro. Nobody told me nothing.
Lex P
Betty been died, Ty. When she died. Who is it? Betty Wright. No pain, no gang.
Drea Nicole
So he cleaned up, woman.
Lex P
No, that's a different song.
Drea Nicole
Damn.
Lex P
But I think Betty's son cleaned up woman, too. 2020. 2020.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, that's recent, bitch.
Lex P
A Miami Dade county legend.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, that's recent. I don't like that. Nobody told me that. Yeah, she did. That's too recent for me.
Lex P
That was six years ago.
Drea Nicole
That's recent. That wasn't long ago.
Lex P
But it was long ago for you to have found out about it by now. I really.
Drea Nicole
I didn't know. What's up with you?
Lex P
What you mean?
Drea Nicole
Why you so giggly?
Lex P
Because I'm just like, what are you talking about? Somebody that's recent.
Drea Nicole
No, it wasn't. I mean, I feel like if you have died in the past 20 years, that's recent.
Lex P
If somebody had a baby back in 2020, that baby's six now. That baby is in first grade. That was not recent.
Drea Nicole
That's recent. Penny's still my baby. That's still my little nugget. So, no. Still still recent news, but, yeah.
Lex P
I'm just like. I don't know. I know. This conversation is just all over the place. But I just am so sad that I miss people concerts. Like Back Street Boys had a residency and babies and I missed it. And I'm hoping that they do something again.
Drea Nicole
Do you remember that song incomplete they had?
Lex P
It was a bad. That make me think of. The only incomplete I acknowledge is Cisco.
Drea Nicole
No, but incomplete by. It's not as good as Cisco's incomplete, first of all. But it was a good song because how do we go incom.
Lex P
Oh, I do remember that.
Drea Nicole
And you know what I remember? People like to sleep on aj But AJ could really sing. Um, one thing I will say, I want Justin Timberlake to get it together too. Mm. You know what he do? You know that footage came out and he was like, I'm gonna miss the tour. This is gonna fuck up the tour. But he was funny. He was like drinking and driving. And then the cop, they brought him in and they had his information filled out. He said, white.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
He said, I am a wigger. No, he didn't say that. But he was like, white. I'm just kidding. Cause the cop, I think the cop was playing on his top though. He was like, I don't. Justin Timberlake. I don't know who you are, but I think that's what they kind of have to do is police. And then his like, friend assistant showed up. She was like, in honor of like, sexy back. Can you just let him go, bro? She was making it worse.
Lex P
In honor of sexy back is nuts.
Drea Nicole
She said in honor of like sexy back. And she named another song Bye Bye Bye. It was just like, oh, God, but I love Justin Timberlake. I do. I do too. A legend. He said white period pooh. The original Bieb.
Lex P
But I did see that, but I don't know why I thought that was a long time ago.
Drea Nicole
It was.
Lex P
Oh.
Drea Nicole
So again, somebody from TMZ paid somebody enough money and they released it. That's why I say a lot of that stuff is messed up. But shout out to Justin Timberlake and all our legends. I think that a lot of times we don't realize a lot of these people's youth and things were robbed. And they're still probably adjusting to life. Life looks a lot different for them.
Lex P
And then just be moving fast. Cuz everybody getting old. I just be like, damn, is really old now. Like, it was somebody I seen the other day. I know who it was, but I won't say tell me. But they was looking real old. And I was just like.
Drea Nicole
I put it in my. Put it in my.
Lex P
And I was just like, you're not
Drea Nicole
aging well and it's pissing me off. Who Tell me. Right here. I put.
Lex P
I'm not telling you why. No, because you're gonna laugh and you're gonna make.
Drea Nicole
No, I'm not.
Lex P
You're gonna make a parody of it.
Drea Nicole
No, I'm not. You are gonna make a parody of it.
Lex P
No, because you do.
Drea Nicole
I promise I'm not. Watch y'. All. I promise.

Drea Nicole
Okay, that's understandable.
Lex P
No, Ben, I know, but that's okay, though. It makes me sad, though. It just really be, like, reminding me of the reality that, like, These people were 10, 15, 20 years older than us when we were kids. And so now that we're in our 30s, they're, like, in their 40s and 50s and, like, it's just so sobering to watch people get older. I'm just like, this is nuts.
Drea Nicole
But you know what? I'll honestly say, though, I am happy to see them age because we didn't get to see Nipsey A. I know. I don't mean to get deep. We didn't get to see Nipsey age. We didn't get to see Pimp C. A. I really enjoy seeing the girls get older, the guys get older. Like, we didn't get to see Whitney Houston be old, old, old. You know what I'm saying? So, honestly, it is kind of like, damn, but it is a blessing to see these people get older. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's like, damn, but they're not the same people no more. But, like, good. Like, I love seeing Bunbi go around handing people burgers.
Lex P
Me too.
Drea Nicole
That is the cutest shit ever.
Lex P
I love it.
Drea Nicole
I want fucking burger.
Lex P
Cause it's just so wholesome.
Drea Nicole
It is. Cause that's what you did, your life, right. Yeah. You invested, you know, you take care of your family. I have never heard one bad story about Bumby, ever.
Lex P
People. That's a good way to look at it, though.
Drea Nicole
Absolutely. Absolutely.
Lex P
To me, like, I love, like, how his Family has grown, and we're watching them and making music with his kids. He's still in the studio making music and still being of influence, a positive influence, especially in Atlanta. Like, to me, that is just so beautiful.
Drea Nicole
It's a beautiful thing. Same thing with 2 Chainz. I think it's beautiful. It's beautiful. I hope people look at me like that. They're like, there go that girl that be talking about sucking dick all the time. Look at her. Just old and happy.
Lex P
You not old yet, though.
Drea Nicole
But I'm getting there. I'm getting there. I'm finna be 40.
Lex P
Facts.
Drea Nicole
I'm about to be 40, and I ain't mad about it.
Lex P
I mean, you still got three years,
Drea Nicole
but that ain't a long time. And honestly, once I hit 40, I'm damn near 50. No, and then the fact that I'm almost dead, bitch.
Lex P
No, but that's what I'm saying. The life expectancy. You should live to be a ripe old 85.
Drea Nicole
Okay, okay, you right. You right, 85.
Lex P
You still got a lot more time if you ain't even live half your life yet.
Drea Nicole
Okay, you're right.
Lex P
That's how I be looking at it.
Drea Nicole
I be.
Lex P
I hope I get to live to be old. Longevity do run in my family, though.
Drea Nicole
It don't run in mine. You got a good hot five with me. You better turn up now.
Lex P
We got to get this deal soon.
Drea Nicole
Hey, you got a hot five.
Lex P
Be like, these is morbid. They be joking about the craziest. But no, for real, though, I do be like, yeah, I feel like we gonna live long lives.
Drea Nicole
No.
Lex P
Yeah, yeah, we are.
Drea Nicole
But I do. I take care of myself a lot better than people in my past have. So.
Lex P
Yeah, then, like, older families.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. For sure. And my aunt is moving, so I'm really not gonna be going to Orange no more.
Lex P
Damn.
Drea Nicole
I know. Yeah, she's moving.
Lex P
Medicine Memory.
Drea Nicole
Shout out to Everybody in the 409 that still represent people you're not gonna
Lex P
go back and visit.
Drea Nicole
I feel like Orange.
Lex P
What about the nostalgia?
Drea Nicole
There is not a lot of nostalgia there. Because I don't know why it's not. I don't know. I don't know. But I do love my. I always say I love my city. I love being from there. I feel like people from Orange, they love. A lot of people in Orange, watch the show, which I was unaware of, and I've just been noticing that a lot more so now. So I love my. Maybe I will go back one day and do something Maybe I might do like a turkey. Something for 30.
Lex P
You did eat in your city, huh? I probably shouldn't have said that.
Drea Nicole
No, the fuck I'm not, bitch. Hold on. Hold on, bitch. No, the fuck I'm not. You got me fucked up. Hell. Hell, no. What? Ty, she's cooked. I'm not. Why would you say that? You are. You're not. No, I'm not. No, I'm not. I told you I'm not. But it's that other man, a football player.
Lex P
But you. You a close second, though.
Drea Nicole
Honestly, though, you are.
Lex P
I mean, like, it's not many people to name.
Drea Nicole
I'm the biggest boss that you've seen thus far.
Lex P
You're the biggest boss Orange seen thus far. Not me.
Drea Nicole
If I brought you to Orange, oh, my God, they gonna bring the whole city out. Bitch, I've been to Orange when my mama died. I'm just talking about. Let's turn up. Oh, my gosh. I'm gonna bring you the orange and we gonna have a good old.
Lex P
Yeah, we should host a party. What's the popping club?
Drea Nicole
It used to be spankies.
Lex P
It's only one.
Drea Nicole
That's all I know about.
Lex P
We should host a party. Maybe we can host it in Beaumont.
Drea Nicole
That's what I was thinking.
Lex P
Port Arthur. No, Port Arthur.
Drea Nicole
No. Well, Port Arthur look dangerous, bitch.
Lex P
No, Port Arthur is very dangerous. I've been there before.
Drea Nicole
You better run them four zero nine streets. But honestly, I got asked to book a party, to host a party in Beaumont, but I gave him my rate and it was a discounted rate. They ain't hit me back.
Lex P
No, for real.
Drea Nicole
I mean, I just think, like, what we. And I'm not trying to be funny. I think what we charge is kind of out. But you have to make it make sense. Like, I have to fly into Houston, get a rental. I'm not driving. Somebody gotta drive me. Yeah.
Lex P
Cause I'm not extensive.
Drea Nicole
I'm not saying I'm not driving. I'm not a good driver. I'm not staying in Beaumont.
Lex P
I'm not staying it. I need a chauffeur. I'm not driving from Houston to Orange.
Drea Nicole
Watch your tone, bitch.
Lex P
No, I don't mean it like that. I'm just saying.
Drea Nicole
I said Beaumont.
Lex P
Oh, Beaumont. That shit is still far.
Drea Nicole
But Beaumont is closer than Orange is.
Lex P
It's closer, but it's still a drive. What is it, like an hour and 45 minutes?
Drea Nicole
It's about an hour. It's about an hour 20. Once you hit orange, it's about an hour 45.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
Once you hit Louisiana. Oh, you cooked, bitch.
Lex P
Yeah. It's still a little decent drive or whatever. Cause we used to drive to Beaumont when I was in college.
Drea Nicole
Yeah. I would host the party in Beaumont, though. But I do want to give back something to Orange. So if anybody is Orange is watching me, watching. I would like to do like a turkey drive or some toy drive or something. Maybe I'll do that this year to give back and do something. Me and Ty were talking about that earlier. Doing better traditions. I don't like to go to Orange because it reminds me of my mom.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
Maybe that's something I could do to start a new tradition and make me happier and going home.
Lex P
Yeah. Just doing something where you giving back and that, like, is making you feel fulfilled in a way. And it's not just like bad. Not to say bad memories, but I get what you're saying, cuz it's not bad memories. But when you go to certain places, like when you lose a parent and then you go to certain places, it just reminds you of them. And you don't always want to be reminded of that. Cuz I'm the same way when it come to my mama house. I barely ever go to my mama house in here. Houston. Yes. I don't. I don't be around.
Drea Nicole
Yeah.
Lex P
Cuz it's just weird.
Drea Nicole
It's so weird because I was telling her my house used to be so full of life.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
And so much. Oh, my God. People coming in and out, food being cooked, music getting played. And now it's just dead. It's so dead.
Lex P
It is.
Drea Nicole
How many toys can I buy with $50? Y' all think I can do a toy drive?
Lex P
$50 if you go to the Dollar Tree.
Drea Nicole
Yeah. We going do.
Lex P
But probably not a toy drive. You probably can give it to two children.
Drea Nicole
Yeah. I'm like, I don't know.
Lex P
I don't know about a drive.
Drea Nicole
It's gonna be. It's gonna be a toy scooter. Yeah. A toy scoot. Yeah.
Lex P
I don't know what you're gonna be able to do with the hot feet.
Drea Nicole
I'm crying. No, I'm not gonna do that. I'm gonna do something.
Lex P
For real. For real, for real.
Drea Nicole
Okay, let's get into these topics.
Lex P
Yes.
Drea Nicole
What's up, y'? All?
Lex P
It's your girl xp, and it's your girl Dre and Nicole.
Drea Nicole
And this is the Business Spotlight. And y' all know we love highlighting entrepreneurs, women in the space, and we have a great business today.
Lex P
I'm excited yes, we do. So today's business spotlight is Fancy Homebody. We have Vanessa Bowie in the building, who is the founder and owner. Give it up for y'. All. Yes.
Drea Nicole
Yay.
Lex P
Thank you for having me.
Drea Nicole
Thank you for coming.
Lex P
We are so excited. So let me give a little background. Yes. What started as an Instagram community during a season where she was spending more time at home has grown into a multi million dollar brand focused on helping women feel cute, confident, and put together even in their everyday moments. Fancy Homebody is all about everyday luxury with loungewear, sleepwear, and home essentials that give you comfort, quality, and style without the crazy price tag. I love that.
Drea Nicole
I love it too. And let me. And let me just add a little bit on there, because this is my first time. I'm gonna be honest, to give you an honest review. This is my first time putting on it because I'm a fancy homebody myself. Just bought a home, and I think something about my girls who like to be at home, it's something about putting things on at home.
Lex P
Yeah. That look good?
Drea Nicole
That make you feel good?
Lex P
Mm.
Drea Nicole
Just walking around and I'm a tall girly. It hit my ankles.
Lex P
You are.
Drea Nicole
It hit my ankles, bitch. Thank you for thinking of us.
Lex P
Of course.
Drea Nicole
Because I'm tall and I'm thick, and it hits the bottom.
Lex P
Love it.
Drea Nicole
So what was your inspiration? Just outside of being a person who likes to, you know, be a fancy homeboy? Yes.
Lex P
It was really just a mindset shift for me personally. Like, I had just gotten out of the trenches of having two babies under two.
Drea Nicole
Ooh. And yes.
Lex P
Working my corporate marketing job. So it was like, right before COVID hit, and I was just always in the house. Me and my husband had just bought our first home, and I was really consumed with. And I feel like a lot of women get in those types of situations where you kind of lose your sense of self a little bit. You lose that zhuzh about you. And it's not that I wanted to be outside or all of that, but I was still, like, maybe 29, 30, and I still felt like that girl. But I didn't have those opportunities to necessarily go out and all that like some of my other peers. So I felt like there was a season where I had a little bit of FOMO and, like, watching some of my kid list friends go out. And even on social media at that time, it was all about, like, the
Drea Nicole
lunches and the brunches and the girls. Girl power brunch.
Lex P
Yeah. Okay. And so it was like, a part of me kind of felt like, well, that's not really me either. But I don't necessarily want to just be looking crazy in the house. I always used to wear my husband's big white tees and his basketball shorts. And I kind of got away from being the fashion girly that I once was. So I just kind of tapped into what I liked, which was home decor and talking about being an introvert, and I just started a new Instagram page. So it was in 2019 where I started the Instagram page and. And it was like a lot of women started to follow me. So I did get a nice following, but of course, I never even thought of it like a business at that point. But I was clearly building a community. I'm like, well, something is here, something special. So I'm like, you know what? Why not? And in February of 2020. So it was literally right before all hell, the disaster. Yes, we launched and it was just with a couple of sweatshirts and T shirts and a mug and nothing spectacular. But at that time, I was looking at it from, like, a creative outlet, hobby for me. But I also, because I was in marketing, looked at it from a business sense of There's a whole untapped market of women like me, like millennial women who at that time, I love sets. Like, I'm a two piece set. I need something. I need something easy. Okay, like, love a nice bag, love
Drea Nicole
a nice shoe accessory. But two set me down.
Lex P
I need the set. Yeah, I need a set. I need everything to be real easy. And so I felt like at that time, and still there were a lot of sets and that sort of thing from, you know, the fashion novas and, you know, the Boo Hoos and that sort of site that they would kind of cater to a body type that I necessarily didn't have anymore. I had a mom pouch that I haven't cut off yet.
Drea Nicole
I'm still gonna cut it off one
Lex P
day, but it's still there.
Drea Nicole
Right? Right.
Lex P
And I felt like there has to be other, like, young popping girls who might have a mom pouch, who might have stretch marks on their stomach, and don't necessarily, you know, gravitate to those sorts of sets and easy options that are like, really bodyconned. So I was like, you know what? Like, we can make some relaxed fit sets real cute and still have you feeling confident with what you're either lounging around the house in or simply, you know, running to Target or whatever.
Drea Nicole
Go ahead, go ahead.
Lex P
No, I was just gonna say I love that because I am that type of Girl, like, I love something where I can still feel comfy and feel cut, but then, you know, we're still giving fashion at the same time. And I love the quality of this. It's thick. It's good material. You can tell you ain't cutting no corners. Oh, yeah. Yes. Thank you. And that's another thing about just my target audience. And I was wanting to just put myself in my customer's shoes. Like, I'm not a girl who necessarily wants to have, like, the flimsy, fast fashion, even though there's nothing wrong with that from time to time. But I also didn't necessarily want to be paying $150 for a sweatshirt. If it's just kind of like a normal, basic sweatshirt. I'm like, it has to be something in between that still gives the quality for a grown woman like me, but also is affordable and that nice middle ground where I felt like I wasn't breaking the bank or being irresponsible.
Drea Nicole
So let me say a few things. Like I said, I'm giving you a real live review right now.
Lex P
Okay.
Drea Nicole
So this set. Now, mind you, I done had surgery 36,000 times, period. So I have a larger butt and a smaller waist. One thing about it, when I order rompers, I'm always scared of rompers, because it's always that gap. Ain't no gap. But it's not squishing in my booty either.
Lex P
Yes.
Drea Nicole
You know what I'm saying? So this without the jacket, I know I got about three outfits I can put on right now. Even with the jacket by itself. I got another three fits I could put right now. I think we need to talk about capsule closets. Like, it's good to have staple pieces that you can dress up that are quality, that last. That will last, that last a long time. Because I'm not gonna lie to you, I'm used to, like, a certain type of material. I don't even know what material this is. What material is this?
Lex P
So that's our E. Smooth collection.
Drea Nicole
Okay.
Lex P
So it is mostly cotton, but it does have a little bit of poly for stretch.
Drea Nicole
Okay.
Lex P
But I love the brushed material on there. It's different. Giving suede but not white suede. But that's one of our best selling collections. And then what material is this? So it's the same.
Drea Nicole
It's the same.
Lex P
You have on the east Move jumpsuit.
Drea Nicole
Okay.
Lex P
You have on the east move Wiley cargo and crew teeth.
Drea Nicole
Okay, cool.
Lex P
Let me. I'm gonna stand up and do.
Drea Nicole
Stand up and show him that ass
Lex P
Do a little turnaround. Let's give it to him. Let's go. Mata. Yes. I love this too, because I feel, like, relaxed.
Drea Nicole
And what's all that back there?
Lex P
I just love the fact that it's, like, a relaxed fit, but then it still shows your curve. Yeah.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, I like that. Do it again.
Lex P
We want to show the curve.
Drea Nicole
Yes, we want to show the curve. It looks absolutely amazing. Okay, so outside of, you know, what inspired to this for you to start your brand, because obviously this is what you do full time now. But I think outside. Outside of, you know, this is an amazing brand, and we gonna get into candles in a second. But I wanna talk about you having a 9 to 5 and starting the brand and doing that and eventually crossing over. Because I think we live in a society now where people just be like, quit your job and go all in. But I wanna talk about how you did your nine to five and your business, and you eventually was like, okay, now I can quit and do this full time.
Lex P
Yes. No, that is such a good point. So, like I said when I started, wasn't really taking it too serious. Once I started the fancy homebody page, I was just calling myself fancy homebody. Then I was like, let's get a logo made, you know? And so I was still working in corporate marketing in the pharmaceutical sector, and I had been working from home for, like, four years. So I was working from home before it was cool to work from home.
Drea Nicole
Yes.
Lex P
So I did have a little bit more flexibility than say, you know, they
Drea Nicole
had to go in the office.
Lex P
Yeah, of course. Like, yeah, I'm working on that report, but I'm really, you know, looking at fabrics and stuff. So my situation was a little different because I was able to kind of navigate working from home and doing that. But I'm not gonna lie, the pandemic is like, the bandemic. Yeah.
Drea Nicole
People were spending money. They were.
Lex P
So we launched in February. I quit my job in September. September. Oh, wow.
Drea Nicole
They was on the street.
Lex P
No time. Cause everybody was at home, too. And you were selling loungewear. Exactly. And I felt like everybody and they mama was pivoting and going towards loungewear and that. But it might not have felt natural, but I felt like I have already been talking about, like, I don't be nowhere. I be in the house. Like, for real, I'm here. I'm living my raps.
Drea Nicole
Yeah.
Lex P
So I felt like it was a little bit more authentic. And the fact that I was really just growing that community and taking that community of just girls. I would kiki with in the DM to really being my target customer. And so a lot of women ask me all the time, you know, how I should get started. I have a job and that sort of thing. And while my situation was a great blessing that I was able to quit so quick, I was also able to quit because I did have a nice amount of sales going in that I was able to have a cushion put up.
Drea Nicole
Thank you for saying that.
Lex P
That is very important. You don't just want to be crazy now just jumping out the window. And also, a lot of people don't talk about drop shipping. So when I first. First started, I was drop shipping those T shirts and sweatshirts so I didn't have to buy inventory.
Drea Nicole
Okay.
Lex P
Okay. So that was another way of not having to come out of my pocket to buy a lot of inventory. So that was great. That was great for me. And it's not sexy at all to talk about drop shipping, but it is an option for people who just kind of want to get your brand name out there. Like, it was just fancy homebody sweatshirts. But I knew that eventually I wanted to do things like this. So I was able to save up the money that I got from these. Those sorts of like basic teas to then find my manufacturer and really start going in on our designs.
Drea Nicole
We did drop shipping before too, so we know all about it, Chad. But if you do it right, it can be very. And then I want to make sure.
Lex P
I wanted to ask a question. I wanted to ask you. So, like, when did you make the pivotal decision that you wanted to just go from loungewear and sleepwear to selling home essentials? So I feel like it was always in the back of my mind that fancy homebody is more than just clothes. And I felt like, just based on what I like to talk to my community about, we talk about what y' all making the kids for dinner this week and that sort of thing. Like, we share things like that in like my question box. So I felt like I really wanted to be in the home a little bit more and not necessarily just focus on clothes. So I've always wanted to do fragrance. I am a big, big candle girl. So we finally launched our candle line last year and I love to say that they are hand poured by a black woman in Chicago, period.
Drea Nicole
I love that.
Lex P
Oh, yes. So we're not like mass producing them right now because again, just trying to be smart business wise. You know, bread and butter is clearly still our clothing. And this is just such a fun passion project for me that we're starting to introduce candles. So also being able to help a small business in that way has been really great.
Drea Nicole
And I think that's a good point to make. Like home decor. Cause I just started like my little series online and I didn't know they love it. The girls love home decor and I think a lot of times we don't realize being at home and your mental health is one in one.

So being at home and feeling sexy, feeling pretty, putting on something, even if you're not going nowhere, just being able to wake up, put on something that feels good, lighting a candle, that can literally change the trajectory of your entire day. You know what I'm saying? Because I think we deal with a lot as women, society pressures, looking good, feeling good. And I'm like, that starts at home.
Lex P
It does, you know, it does. I feel like that definitely all encompasses what a fancy homebody is. It's not necessarily, you know, oh, I'm Zsa Zsa Gabor and walking around with diamonds and that sort of thing. It's all about the mindset and just being comfortable with where you are right there. Again, it came out of a place for me feeling insecure that I wasn't able to go to all the events and all that kind of stuff. And I'm like, it has to be other girlies that might have just a lot of other responsibilities on their plate where they feel like they might be missing out. And I want girls and women to feel comfortable and beautiful at home in simple moments and not look crazy in the carpool line, embarrassing your children and all that kind of stuff.
Drea Nicole
Okay, now, like, pull it together. Get a little one, too.
Lex P
It really does make you feel better. And it, it, it will affect your, your mental health at the end of the day.
Drea Nicole
Yes, I agree.
Lex P
Well, I just want to say the candles smell amazing.
Drea Nicole
So good. You can smell it, right? It's strong and we just lit it.
Lex P
Yes. And this is a pretty big space too, so it fills up the room pretty quickly.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, I'm taking that home with me.
Lex P
Thank you. Thank you. So I do want to ask you, like, what's next for fancy homebody. Cuz I know you said you're really into fragrances, so do you feel like you're gonna get into, you know, what is it called? Like the. When they be spraying the bed sheets and the, you know, what is it called? Is it bed perfume? Like, I don't know, the proper room spray.
Drea Nicole
Room spray.
Lex P
Linen sprays. We actually already have been testing those out with like. So we did it at a pop up. Okay. So I let the Chicago girlies test out the room sprays first and they were a hit too.
Drea Nicole
Okay.
Lex P
So we are also thinking about adding that to the fragrance line. But as far as fancy homebody, we're really loving the fact that, you know, with all the growth, having everybody kind of experience our best sellers from like our robes and different sets, really expanding those best selling collections instead of like, oh, just hopping on every little trend. I just really want to continue to put out quality products that everybody's gonna have for years to come. And not necessarily chase the new trends of clothing and that sort of thing, but always wanting to expand our colorways and that sort of thing. So, you know, you'll see these in a couple more colors this year.
Drea Nicole
Okay.
Lex P
Period.
Drea Nicole
Now let me know. Cause, you know, I'm doing my house up, so whatever you need.
Lex P
We can do a little one and a blanket. We have a really good. Oh, I love a good blank. Thank you. Yes.
Drea Nicole
I'm a pro now. So if somebody is like, Vanessa, what is your favorite piece from fancy homebodies? Somebody wants to know what is the CEO's favorite thing and they want what you love from your line. What would you tell them to go buy right now? If they got the budget for one thing or a set, whatever candle, what would you tell them to go buy?
Lex P
I would tell them to buy our soft sleep long robe.
Drea Nicole
Okay.
Lex P
Now I know that we push a lot of our everyday essentials that you can like leave the house in. A woman needs a good robe. And I feel like that's like that fancy homebody starter kit. Okay, you gotta get you the soft sleep long robe. And we did give y'.
Drea Nicole
All.
Lex P
Ooh.
Drea Nicole
I was about to say, I love a robe.
Lex P
I do too.
Drea Nicole
I like to push out my trash. I had my robe on this morning. Yeah, I watched the kids get off the bus. How you doing, baby?
Lex P
Yes.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, that's, that's me.
Lex P
And so we just released the chocolate deep chocolate brown. It's called truffle. So you guys both have the truffle.
Drea Nicole
Ooh, I can't think oh, and I
Lex P
love that I've been really into brown lately. Like a deep chocolate brown color. I love that people been wearing it with butter yellow. Oh, yeah. And I like, you know, the fashion girlies, like, mix it up.
Drea Nicole
And I was like, that's. I'm telling you, you can.
Lex P
But it's a cute little combo.
Drea Nicole
Yes. I'm telling you, you're gonna be surprised when I put this fit on with. I got a little something something for you now. I love it. Hold on now. So where can people shop? Follow you, all that good stuff.
Lex P
Yes. You can shop@fancy homebody.com. we are on Instagram, our Shop Fancy Homebody page. My page is Fancy Homebody on Instagram. And yeah, all your social networks, you can find us.
Drea Nicole
Yes. Thank you so much.
Lex P
Thank you so much for joining us.
Drea Nicole
Yes. We love a blessing.
Lex P
I can't wait to get yes home and open my little goody bag. Yes.
Drea Nicole
Yes. I'm finna light that candle. So good.
Lex P
Yes, girl.
Drea Nicole
And I'm just now starting on my primary bedroom. Okay. So I'm so excited.
Lex P
What colors you got in there?
Drea Nicole
So I'm doing chocolate, of course. Okay.
Lex P
Yep.
Drea Nicole
Literally, this is, like, the color of my bedroom.
Lex P
Okay.
Drea Nicole
I'm getting my wainscotting and stuff actually done right now as we speak, and then I'm getting it painted this weekend. So I have. I am a scent girl. So I have, like, like, a certain scent that's, like, downstairs. A certain scent that's, like, on my first floor. So I'm like, what is my scent gonna be for, like, y', all, like,
Lex P
like, manlier scents or are y' all more. I love bald, but I do, like more masculine. Okay.
Drea Nicole
For the home.
Lex P
Okay. So it hasn't come out yet, but it's called Brownstone.
Drea Nicole
Okay.
Lex P
So all the candles are named after different house types. Love that. Brownstone is our manly musk.
Drea Nicole
Okay. Cause, Bob, I got. I got a townhouse that's close enough a brand.
Lex P
It's as close as we gonna get in Georgia. Exactly.
Drea Nicole
Thank you so much, Vanessa.
Lex P
Thank you.
Drea Nicole
Y' all make sure y' all go to Fancy Homebody and order your sets, order your candles and all that good stuff.
Lex P
Yes.
Drea Nicole
Okay, what's the first topic? Hold on, let me start. Okay.
Lex P
Yeah. The first topic is, are people over complicating relationships? How can we bring the fun back in relationships? Movies always show us the fun and romantic love stories. Do you think it's impossible to have those type of stories in real life, or do you think it's realistic?
Drea Nicole
I Think that it is possible if you have somebody who has the same mindset as you. You know what I'm saying? I think there are a lot of people who take life seriously, and that's okay. I think there are a lot of people who live in La La Land and they want to have fun, they want to go out, they want to romanticize everything. Like, if you're the type of woman who wakes up or the type of man who wakes up and romanticizes your life, like, everything is, I'm going get dressed. I'm going brush my teeth. I'm cooking breakfast. Oh, my God, the sun is coming in. I'm making my coffee. You need to be with somebody who's like that as well. I think if you're a kind of person that's just like, get up, go to work, go take your lunch break, come back, go to the gym, go home, that's fine as well, too. But you need to be with somebody like that. I think you can have whatever you want in this life, and that's something that I have learned. So I think a lot of times when people tell other people life is not a fantasy, you have to be realistic. That's just because you have never made anything in your life come true.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
And we need to stop telling people that you can't have what you want in life. So, yeah, I think it's possible.
Lex P
I don't know.
Drea Nicole
I just.
Lex P
I guess I look at it like, y' all ain't having fun in relationships. Y' all staying with people y' all ain't having fun with. Like what? Yeah, like, what's the point in being in a relationship with somebody that you not having fun? And to me, that's grounds for a breakup. Yeah. If it's just too stuffy and too serious all the time. We don't ever have fun together. We not laughing together. We don't go and do things like.
Drea Nicole
Cause where's the joy to me, I will understand a woman or a man staying in a relationship if they're having fun more than somebody. You know what I'm saying? Like, they're staying because they're having so much fun. And maybe this is not their ideal partner, but they be having fun. I can give you. I'd be like, I get it, girl. It's hard. Cause you having a ball, but you're crying every day. You sad, you upset, you this, you that. And I also think that a fan. What did we say?
Lex P
Fun.
Drea Nicole
Fun is what you make it, though. What's fun to you, right? Y' all need to stop looking at what other people think is. Is fun. Like, fun. Since this person may be just staying in Netflix, ordering some pizza. Hood fun to this girl maybe going to Miami. Fun to this girl, maybe going to Chanel. You need to know yourself and stop letting society decide what is fun. So I think that people definitely overcomplicate relationships because of social fucking media. Yes. 1,000%. Relationships really don't got to be that hard.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
Be loyal and like the person you with.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
Cause y' all be dating people y' all don't even like.
Lex P
Yeah. And prioritize actual dates.
Drea Nicole
Yes.
Lex P
I think that's the problem with a lot of people. People don't prioritize going on dates on a regular basis. Even when you get in a relationship. I don't know why people think dating is reserved for, like, when you're trying to vet and figure out who you want to, you know, be in a relationship with. No. Once you get in the relationship with the person, y' all still need to date each other. Y' all still need to plan things. Y' all still. And sometimes not even playing things. You still need to be spontaneous sometimes and surprise the person. And I just think. I don't know, people have lost that for some reason, and I think that's the reason why maybe people don't think dating is fun anymore, but I can't be in our relationship where we just be sitting around looking at each other.
Drea Nicole
But I think just the climate.
Lex P
I can do that by myself and look in the mirror.
Drea Nicole
But I think just the climate of everything, like, life is so serious now. So I try to give people a little bit of a break because everything is so serious now. Like, everything is. But, I mean, it kind of has to be, but I feel like you need a little escape.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
And if I'm spending 75 of my time with you, like, can we please just have a good time? Like, I don't know. Life is a lot more serious, I feel like, now than it was in our younger years. Like, I feel like when I was in my, like, 20s, and maybe because I didn't have any real responsibilities, but I don't know, everything is just so serious now. Do you feel that way?
Lex P
Yeah, I do. I be feeling like shit is definitely very serious these days. When we was in our 20s, we was having a ball blast. Yeah.
Drea Nicole
Like, everything is so time of our life. Like, girls be like, I can't go out with him because he didn't. Girl, go have fun. Like, just go have fun. Are you. Is he gonna be my husband or are niggas be like, man, if she not. And I don't know if she gonna do. Just go have a good time and vibe. Just vibe twin. What they say? That's what the kids say. Just vibe twin. Yeah. Like, God damn. God motherfucking damn.
Lex P
Yeah, they losing the plot.
Drea Nicole
They losing the plot of having fun. And I hate that for my youngins. And I know a lot of people will be like, well, that's why. That's why y' all old. Cause y' all didn't single. Cause y' all didn't take shit seriously. But I feel like God is right on time in my life.
Lex P
I disagree. I feel like you could take shit serious and still be single. That don't mean. It don't mean. Cuz it's like you could take somebody serious in your 20s, and then you. You could, like, you could be in serious relationships throughout your whole twenties and still not get married because you might be with men who just don't want to marry you.
Drea Nicole
And not only that, I have a lot of friends that are divorced now.
Lex P
And that's what I was going to say, too. Yeah, it's the divorces as well. Like, you can get married young, and then y' all not compatible as you thought y' all were. And now you 27 and divorced, and you gotta get back in the streets, and then you don't find somebody again till you 32. I don't know. Like, people love to try to say bullshit to other people, but they be projecting, in my opinion.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, I definitely think they're projecting. And I think we are. Another thing about the fund is we're depending on our partners too much to make us happy. I wake up every morning happy regardless. I don't give a what people got. And that comes with. You have to be a little selfish, and that's okay. Yes. And people, what are you doing? Where you at? Got to talk to their partner all day. They can't go out, have fun. You have to have a life outside of your partner. I again, let me bring up the Tik Tok streets. There was a girl that went viral like two or three months ago, and she was talking about how I can't go on no girls trip. My husband's not there, my kids aren't there. Y' all are single. I'm not going. But guess what? If your husband got invited on a guy's trip, nine times out of ten he's gonna go, I'm not talking about her in particular, but have a life Outside of your spouse. Y' all don't be having nothing to do outside of being a husband, a wife, a mother, a father. Like, it's okay to have balance. And I think that's a lot of times the fun is sucked out because when you get home, that's a job. You should be rushing home, but you're not rushing home because you have to make this other person happy. And, oh, he didn't text you or he didn't call you. He didn't. It'd be too much pressure. The pressure is getting worser. I don't like it.
Lex P
Yeah, sometimes you do got to apply pressure, though, because then I feel like y' all just be in a gray area.
Drea Nicole
It's a fine line. Yes, I agree. I do agree. You do got to apply pressure, but not to the point to where it's running you thin and running you dry. You know what I'm saying?
Lex P
Yeah. Just date people, get to know them, and if you like them, just have fun. Have fun.
Drea Nicole
Have fun.
Lex P
I feel like, you know, when somebody's trying to, I don't know, maybe people discernment be off, but I know when somebody's trying to take advantage of me or when I feel like they want something out the situation and they not like. Like being genuine or we don't want the same things. I don't know. Like, I feel like men be doing little stuff. Like they be like, making comments all the time about how fine you are, like, about sex and insinuating that they want to have sex or trying to do, like, intimate things or they're like very touchy feely alive. I feel like you could tell early on because a man who was really likes you. Especially if you a woman who set boundaries with men on the first few dates because you not just trying to be out here just giving it out with the hell. Then I think that. Then I think that men understand that men who respect you understand it and they respect your boundaries versus men who just trying to, like, get something from you. Same thing with women. I think men should have that discernment to know whether or not a woman is really into you. Is she really like you or she just trying to, like, see what you can do for her.
Drea Nicole
Yeah.
Lex P
See if she can get, like, some free lobster tails and some free crab legs on a Tuesday night. Bottomless mimosas.
Drea Nicole
She's trying to get free crab legs
Lex P
and not the king crab.
Drea Nicole
Oh, you right. You right.
Lex P
King crab ain't cheese.
Drea Nicole
King crab is not.
Lex P
It's not.
Drea Nicole
And it's really not even that tasty.
Lex P
I like it.
Drea Nicole
I do not like king crab.
Lex P
I like it, but I feel like you gotta get it from the right restaurants and it has to have the right accompaniment. Yeah.
Drea Nicole
Like, I like stuff that if it's good solo, then I can add stuff. I feel like when I eat king crab by itself, it don't make me feel like, oh, this is so good. You know what I'm saying? It doesn't. Shiver me timbers. Okay. You know what I'm saying? I like it if I'm dipping it in some butter or I'm eating it with other things like, like you said. But I've never been like, ooh, I'm craving, like now do I crave a little crab leg from juicy Crab? I'm craving that shit right now.
Lex P
Me too.
Drea Nicole
Actually. I fuck a bitch up for some people. Want some. I'll a up for some crawfish right now.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
You know what I'm saying? Yeah, but that king crab. But certain hoes, like you hoes is 21 requesting king crab. Where you been?
Lex P
I agree.
Drea Nicole
And literally ducking niggas. But I mean. Well, I mean, ain't nothing.
Lex P
Little king crab. Ain't nothing wrong with it. Like, if he's. But at 21, if he's taking you to a fancy restaurant, like if he's taking you to steak 48.
Drea Nicole
Oh, yes, yes. If y' all are going.
Lex P
Or Mastros on the first date, you should be able to order what you want. And if you want a little king crab leg with. Maybe he shouldn't have took you to Mastros. Maybe he should have took your ass to Longhorn.
Drea Nicole
Now.
Lex P
Agreed.
Drea Nicole
But the thing is, now you ain't.
Lex P
You can't order King cracker.
Drea Nicole
You right. But the girls are getting asked out to Longhorn, and that's okay. Go get you a little parmesan crusted lamb chop.
Lex P
No, I'm not saying nothing is wrong with it, but I'm just saying, like, stay in your tax bracket. Like, men be trying to over. Like, they be trying to over impress and then be mad with what you order.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, you mad at what I order?
Lex P
Bitch, you the one who brought me to Nobu and you mad that I ordered the A5 Wagyu.
Drea Nicole
Let me tell you.
Lex P
Why are you upset about that? If you didn't want me to order that, you should have took me somewhere where it was not an option.
Drea Nicole
Damn. I can't even think of the restaurant. We went to Miami. It was just two of us. That tag was 600. Yes. Ate it all no to go boxes. Good times.
Lex P
I just feel like you can't be mad at somebody when you take them somewhere and they order what they want. And then I feel like that's kind of tacky as a man, in my opinion, to, like, set limitations on what could be ordered, especially on the first day.
Drea Nicole
Okay, let's talk about it.
Lex P
Get to know each other. You over there sweating bullets, cuz you
Drea Nicole
think you ordering another, Cuz I'm ordering another lemon drop.
Lex P
I don't like this. Uh oh. I don't like it.
Drea Nicole
You ain't no leader, bro.
Lex P
You should have took me somewhere that didn't have drinks. You should have went to the park.
Drea Nicole
No, cuz you ain't going to no park.
Lex P
I want. I'm not.
Drea Nicole
I want a Dre and Nicole. So what can I do? Nothing.
Lex P
If you ain't trying to buy. If you ain't trying to buy a wagyu. I don't know what to tell you, so I don't know what to tell you.
Drea Nicole
But not you today. Say you were 21. Right now in 2026. What can a man do? Cause there's some girls out there who are 21 and feel like, I'm a Dre Nicole. I'm a Dre Nicole in the making. What can a 21 year old DRE Nicole? Like, what is an acceptable date for a 20? And she's getting axed out by another 21 year old.
Lex P
I mean, I feel like Atlanta is a cute. I was just speaking on, like, Atlanta living here.
Drea Nicole
Cool.
Lex P
Atlanta is a cute place. Like, it's a lot of, like, cute little local restaurants and stuff that you can go to. Nobody is saying that it has to always be a steakhouse. People need to think outside of the box. Nobody saying you got to go to Eddie Bes and stuff all the time. You could take a girl to, like, beu. You could take her to Pasha or something. That's a little posh. Yeah. Like, that's a cute little first date. And it's not going to be as extreme expensive, you know what I mean, as like, some of the places that we were just talking about.
Drea Nicole
Yeah.
Lex P
I think it's more about the connection. When I was younger, I used to go on dates to Papos. If I'm being real, I love a little enchilada. Yeah. Being from Texas, we love Papos and Papacitos. Like, I used to go on a hot date to Papacitos all the time. The one off of 610os. That was my spite.

Drea Nicole
Can I ask you a question real quick?
Lex P
That's what we call it in Houston, girl. Everybody know, like, that's cuz. It's a little hood up there at that.
Drea Nicole
That's why I went after B. King funeral. I swear.
Lex P
Did they have the repast?
Drea Nicole
No, they didn't. I went there, but it was a few people that were at the funeral there and you know, we had a good time.
Lex P
Y' all had y' all own repass.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, yeah, it was a good. It was a good time. Rest in peace to my dog.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
So, yeah, those is always a good time.
Lex P
It is. I mean, it's great. It's a great time, actually. A ball will be had, but it's a little hood, you know, depending on what you into. Yeah. Now if you into that, that's a good first day. Live in Houston, Texas.
Drea Nicole
That Papa do and Smart and Marietta. That's a little though. It's a little digging. It's a little niggity.
Lex P
It's a little.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, I like it a little bit, though. It's a little niggity. When I walk in, I be like. I be feeling like the man 100. They know who let me. When I walk in that bed, I
Lex P
always go sit at the boy.
Drea Nicole
Come on now. I do all right.
Lex P
You ain't lying. But yeah, I just feel like it doesn't matter, like when you're. That's what I'm saying about being young. Like, I feel like I've elevated to this point to be able to, like, care about a lot of the stuff that I care about.
Drea Nicole
I'm glad you said that.
Lex P
And even when we were younger, I know we used to say certain stuff on the show, but it was kind of sometimes unrealistic, you know what I mean?
Drea Nicole
And it was stupid. It was.
Lex P
I was dating dudes who was doing it, so I don't feel like it was unrealistic in that way, because it was what was really happening in my life. But I do think that setting certain standards, you're closing yourself off from a whole another group of men that might be good for you and might not have it. Yeah. You know what I mean? And I just feel like that's kind of up.
Drea Nicole
And then a lot of the times, the men that you have to deal with. Cuz in my situations, it was like. It was a lot of too. You know what I'm saying? So you have to be dealing with some. And like I said, it's just. It's just more fun to just have fun. It is and maybe like if I had to choose to go, 21 year old me. Ooh. I told this story before. I did go to Eddie V's as a 23 year old girl. And this man had money. I didn't know how to eat an oyster, bitch. I put so much. What's that stuff called?
Lex P
Horseradish.
Drea Nicole
Ooh, I put so much fucking horseradish.
Lex P
I was like,
Drea Nicole
oh, bitch. I didn't know what I. Cause I didn't know what I was doing. And I was so embarrassed. And he was like, you straight, baby, you straight. He was a street pharmacist. So he had been there a few times. And I'm just trying to like, that's
Lex P
the stake in law for.
Drea Nicole
Right? But if I was there, I remember like going on dates with my younger boyfriend at the time. And we were both just, you know, when we had money, like we worked at TGI Fridays together. So like we would go to like a nice steakhouse and it would be fun to be like, ooh, let's order this. Cause we got our money together and it was like fun experience. But I remember being on that date and being just like horrified. Cause I felt like I had to, but it taught me a lot. I never ate horseradish since then.
Lex P
Yeah, I used to go on dates to a lot of places. Like I don't even be trying. I'm not never gonna try to front. Like. Cause when I was younger, I didn't care. Like, I used to like. Good. I don't went on dates to Chili's. When I was in college and stuff. I done went on dates to Cheddar. All of these places too is places that I don't think are in Georgia. By the way, I've never seen Cheddar's in Georgia.
Drea Nicole
Well, I think Cheddar's is like on the outskirts.
Lex P
So we do have Chili's.
Drea Nicole
Is definitely out here somewhere.
Lex P
Well, Chili's, yeah. But Cheddar, what's that restaurant that we have in Texas too? Salt Grass O Salt.
Drea Nicole
They got. Oh, no, that.
Lex P
I don't think we got sock n here grass here. But I used to go on dates to socks. Salt Grass. I used to go on days to Nifas.
Drea Nicole
Oh, the Mexican place. Them. Them fajitas.
Lex P
Yeah. I mean, could take me anywhere. That's what I'm saying.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, that's.
Lex P
I'm the fun times. I'm the company. Like we gonna have fun wherever we go. Exactly.
Drea Nicole
I ain't gonna lie. I went and sat down at a Pizza Hut. It wasn't too long ago. And we had a ball, bitch. We was in there fucked up. And that pizza was so buttery. Them pepperonis was cupped and crispy. Oh, we had a ball, bitch.
Lex P
Lex said, as long as I get my own personal pan.
Drea Nicole
Deal.
Lex P
Long as I can get my own.
Drea Nicole
Hey, deal. Come on now.
Lex P
Hey, I ain't mad at it.
Drea Nicole
The time was had. But I think that that's what fun is though. We need to get back to having fun. I think the world is too serious serious right now. Y' all be worried about getting mortgages and shells and this and that, man. Just. Let's go back to having fun. We took too far.
Lex P
And still we.
Drea Nicole
We took shit too far.
Lex P
I agree. And still to this day, like, granted, yes, I love a steakhouse. Like I love to go eat at a fancy restaurant. And I will go with my men. I will go on my own. I will go with my homegirls. But sometimes I be cool with going to Edgewood Pizza.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, now you put me on edge with pizza. And that. Them garlic bread. That garlic bread. Oh my God.
Lex P
Like, I still be. I'm a very down to earth person. Like I'm still every date, every time we hang out. Because sometimes that's the thing. Realistically, when you're in a relationship or when you're dating somebody serious, sometimes is going to be impromptu. We. Not always. That's a good word.
Drea Nicole
Yes.
Lex P
It's sometimes because it's just spur of the moment. They might be already out and they call you be like, hey, you hungry? You want to go somewhere and eat? You not. I'm just saying you're not going to always get dressed up, you know what I mean? To go out to eat. It's not always giving. Put that on.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, sometimes you going to go to
Lex P
a little spot, grab some food, get a drink and have a ball. And I be pulling up like this sometimes. But your ass with my fancy home body on. And my New Balances.
Drea Nicole
Those are cute.
Lex P
Hood, witty.
Drea Nicole
You not hood with it.
Lex P
I am. I'm hood at heart.
Drea Nicole
At heart. No, but I'm saying. But you don't look. It's a little difference though. Cause you're very well polished and put together. So it's never gave. Hood.
Lex P
Clean on the inside. Cream on the inside.
Drea Nicole
Okay, let's move on. Let's move on with the ice cream paper.
Lex P
What the wrong thing?
Drea Nicole
Shout out to Darrell.
Lex P
Cream on the inside. Facts.
Drea Nicole
Clean on the outside. Cream on the inside. Clean on the outside.
Lex P
Wood. But. But also I meant it to say like I feel Like I'm still hood at heart. I'm polished on.
Drea Nicole
You're more down to earth than people would expect, I'll say that.
Lex P
You know I love a good nasty hood, Tom.
Drea Nicole
We know.
Lex P
Remember that bar that we used to go to all the time from when I lived in my old building? Remember that bar used smell like cigarettes in there. We used to always go in there all the time and party and turn up. Yes, bro. We used to have a ball in there.
Drea Nicole
I should have punched that and ran over him that night. But we had a good time.
Lex P
And we would always see that basketball player, that retired basketball player. Oh, he was always in there. Which was so random cuz it was so dusty. So it was like out of all the places in the city.
Drea Nicole
Yeah.
Lex P
This where you always come to on your free time.
Drea Nicole
Damn. We always just running into bdps.
Lex P
It's on us. It's in us, not on us. And that's why.
Drea Nicole
Oh my God.
Lex P
But we used to have a ball in that little hole in the wall.
Drea Nicole
Let's go baby. Put a hole in the wall. So there's a. So you know, you need to go to the, the. The. The Mexican spot around the corner from there though.
Lex P
From your house?
Drea Nicole
No, from yours.
Lex P
There's mine.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, from. It's around the corner from that spot. It's in the opposite direction and it's so good. Zocalo. No, we went Zakola. Hey, you right, let's move on. You want to get a topic too or look at the topic?
Lex P
No, let's just do the bed topic.
Drea Nicole
Okay, now it's time to get into
Lex P
the big the bow. The big a bow. The big.
Drea Nicole
Well, first, do we want to do the drink?
Lex P
Ty, what we drinking?
Drea Nicole
Ty, what we drinking? Let's go ahead.
Lex P
I'm actually going to call this one Bring back fun.
Drea Nicole
Bring back fun. Bring it back. I agree.
Lex P
We need to bring that back. Run it back. So I did have a little fun playing and crafting this one. This is going to be a gin based cocktail. And then I used some dry vermouth in it. So if anyone likes dry martinis, that's kind of like one of the liqueurs that we use in that. So we have some gin, some dry vermouth, little bit of lime juice, some Peychaud's bitters. So this one is a little bit more boozy on the taste. And then I added some rose syrup and then for Drea's I topped it with a sparkling. So it's just giving us some effervescence. There and then we did a simple garnish, like kind of like a cosmo style. So we have a skewered lime wheel for the one. So this is bring back fun.
Drea Nicole
Bring back the fun back the shout out to you. T. I got a message the other day. Somebody was like, how can we book tie for events? O. So can you let them know how they can book you?
Lex P
Absolutely. Thank you for that. You can go to www.somixy.com. you can also follow us on Instagram, or Tik Tok and. Or Tik Tok. So mixy S O M I X X Y. That inquiry link will be in our bio. Those. So go ahead and book us, period.
Drea Nicole
Now don't y' all be that check.
Lex P
Yeah, cuz she ain't playing it. Cuz we have a minimum. Exactly. Uhoh.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, period.
Lex P
Don't come if your money is funny.
Drea Nicole
We ain't talking Lex P. Funny. We ain't even talking funny.
Lex P
Ain't even funny no more.
Drea Nicole
No, it's okay. I tried. Man. Shut up, girl.
Lex P
It gives that, though.
Drea Nicole
It gives what? That.
Lex P
It ain't funny no more. How.
Drea Nicole
Look at my shoes.
Lex P
You can't even front. She can't. She can't. It's on her.
Drea Nicole
What are y' all talking about?
Lex P
You can't give that. Your money is funny no more. Just don't give that no more.
Drea Nicole
I thought I was being relatable. No, I. I'm down with the cause.
Lex P
Well, I don't think that you're not relatable. I think you're. You are still relatable. But it's apparent that you. That you. That's why you. I think you know it. That's why you don't say that $3 joke no more. You know, no one is gonna believe.
Drea Nicole
Okay, I'll let you get that one little thing off. I'll let you get your shit off.
Lex P
You ain't said that in a long time. And we know why.
Drea Nicole
Why? No, it's not because I think sometimes I will run a joke into the ground. I'm the type of bitch, if you laugh at my joke, I'mma tell about 30 more times. That's who I am. So it's not that I said I'm not saying it no more because I got more than $3. Allegedly. Allegedly. I just don't say it no more. Cause I done said it enough. Yeah, I said it enough. Y' all know I got $3.
Lex P
They know you got that Tom C.
Drea Nicole
No, no.
Lex P
You're about 30 now.
Drea Nicole
I don't know Moving on. Have you ever been shocked by someone's sexual personality versus how they act in real life? The quiet, shy person who turns into a completely different personality behind clothes, those doors, or the super confident, loud person who ends up being way more reserved than expected in bed? In bed.
Lex P
I've been shocked.
Drea Nicole
You've been shocked?
Lex P
Yeah. Yeah. I feel like that's why you can't underestimate people, because they'll always shock you. They'll throw you for a loop, I
Drea Nicole
would say because I have a story to tell and I don't know if I want to.
Lex P
I'm trying to wrap this up.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, it is.
Lex P
Why are you smiling like this?
Drea Nicole
Cuz I have a story and I probably shouldn't tell it, but I think I am going to tell it just because I can't. I'm not mysterious. I was dating this guy for a little bit, and this is cuz y. Y' all like to search my name with names. There's nobody that anybody ever knew, cuz they do that all the time. Okay.
Lex P
It's a rumor going around about me right now with somebody.
Drea Nicole
Who?
Lex P
I'm not going to say who it is on the.
Drea Nicole
Can you tell me in my ear?
Lex P
Yes.
Drea Nicole
Ooh, I wouldn't mind.
Lex P
Yeah, somebody. Somebody said that. They said I would want to be a fly on the wall to the womb stain.
Drea Nicole
Same. I said, h. We can go back to old times with that one.
Lex P
Hey, I got to tell Ty off camera what it is. But like, I was like, but it's like, apparently a rumor.
Drea Nicole
I'm a start it. I'm about to create a fake page. So he'll be like, who is this?
Lex P
Somebody already started it. They left it under.
Drea Nicole
Don't worry. I mean, they can't start me. Yeah, I got love. Lexp. Breaking news. Hoe ass niggas. Okay, it's time to get it started. Okay. Anyways, I was shocked because this man was, like, so fine to me. He was successful. He was just all these things that I just thought I wanted and I liked. And sexually, you know, we had messed around a few times, and it was amazing. And one night we were in a hotel room and, you know, he was getting undressed and I was getting undressed. And y', all.
Lex P
He.
Drea Nicole
He had on one of those
Lex P
briefs
Drea Nicole
that was like a thong, but it wasn't a speedo, though. It was like. But the ass was out.
Lex P
Chaps. No. Okay, I know.
Drea Nicole
What is that? What's it called when the ass. No, it wasn't chaps, though. It was like underwear Cause chaps go all the way to the floor.
Lex P
I had an assless thong.
Drea Nicole
Yes, it was an assless thong. And I was so fucked up. Let me tell y' all something. When I get drunk, I get fucked up.
Lex P
Assless shorts.
Drea Nicole
It wasn't shorts. It was like. You know how the strippers wear those things that cuff the booty?
Lex P
He had it on a strap.
Drea Nicole
I don't. It was like a jock strap. It looked like that. Yes, that's what it looked like. And when I get fucked up, I get fucked up. When I tell y'. All. Yes, that's what it was.
Lex P
Let me see. Kyla. I looked up, I said, what the fuck you.
Drea Nicole
I said, what the fuck do you have on, bro? Is that a jockey? Oh, I sobered up quick than a bitch. Cause what the fuck do you. What the fuck. Why is your ass sitting up like two basketballs? Ho ass nigga. That.
Lex P
That shit sit up better than two bunk bed.
Drea Nicole
That shit thick.
Lex P
Thick. He eat his cornbread.
Drea Nicole
Oh my God. Cause why do you have that? Nah, I ain't gonna lie to you. And I don't like to shame people. But I was like, I promise you, I was cool on him after that.
Lex P
Cool. What was his reasoning for wearing that?
Drea Nicole
I don't know. If maybe it was something that he had on and he didn't want a panty line. Maybe that's what I chalked it up to in my head. I don't know. I don't know. And I don't like to judge people. I don't. You just can't be in my life. Yeah, it turned me off so bad. It turned me off and it surprised me. Cause like, I would never guess that you would have. Why do you got that on, bro? Why is you a bad bitch?
Lex P
But did it tell you I would.
Drea Nicole
I. I was drunk as fuck and I was like, why the fuck you got. Nevermind, bro. I went to sleep, I woke up, I called my own Uber.
Lex P
Remember that song? Looking like a stallion and dancing like a pro. I thought he was looking like a stallion and fuck, I took his pants off and like I would have expected him to. He was looking like a stallion and fucking like a pro.
Drea Nicole
No, he wasn't fucking shit that night. I went to sleep. You know how bad it is if I go to sleep on no dick? I like to fuck. Hey, man, why.
Lex P
But he never gave you an answer.
Drea Nicole
I never asked.
Lex P
You're tripping. I would have asked. I straight up would have been like, why the fuck you got that on?
Drea Nicole
I was like, what Did I remember? Do you wash it? I'm not gonna lie. Like, I remember. Cause I was kind of drunk. I was like, what's going on? I was like, bro, why you got that on? I did ask, but maybe he did answer. Maybe he was just kind of being like, you tripping. I don't know, bro. I don't know. But never talk to that man again. And before, this was a long time ago. Before y' all get. It was a long time ago. But yes, that shit surprised the fuck out of me.
Lex P
Yeah, I think a lot of the time people be more than what meets the eye. Like, you just always be shocked when you get down to the nitty gritty.
Drea Nicole
Yeah.
Lex P
In their bedroom.
Drea Nicole
What people get so.
Lex P
They get freaky.
Drea Nicole
Oh, my God, bro, I'm sorry. That's why I said I'm okay with vanilla sex and vanilla things. I don't need all that. It really don't take. I'm an emotional connection. Girl. You don't gotta fly from the ceilings. Pick me up by my toe. Most thing I like a little nigga to do is, you know, push my legs behind my head. Maybe suck a little toe. Maybe I'll give you a little dirty nurple. That's it. I don't like to get do too much.
Lex P
Too freaky.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, y' all be getting too freaky.
Lex P
Yeah, people be too freaky.
Drea Nicole
Why?
Lex P
But I don't know. I do be thinking, once I get like a lot of honey, I do think I'm gonna have like a sex room in my house.
Drea Nicole
But that's okay. I think a sex room is okay.
Lex P
I think I will have one.
Drea Nicole
Like. Like how Candy does gonna be my dungeon. Like, Candy has a sex room in her house. She has a dungeon. She has a. But I don't think. I think Kandy is freaky. But it's not nothing. That's like, oh, my God. Well, nothing that she's let us know. Cause she's very open about what she likes in the bedroom. But it's never been nothing. I'm like, oh, my God, Kandi, you're into that. No, it's never been nothing crazy. Like, she's been very open. From what I heard. Like women or things like that. That ain't nothing crazy. Toys, toys. You know, she had the swing that she was selling. Like, that's nothing. But like, y' all be doing some weird ass shit.
Lex P
I'm trying to think, like, what's the weirdest thing I ever had somebody do? Somebody wanted me to spank them.
Drea Nicole
Was he thick? No, I ain't spanking your thick ass.
Lex P
It was a little thick.
Drea Nicole
Not the donkey.
Lex P
And he wanted me to spank. The weight.
Drea Nicole
The donkey.
Lex P
Okay, donkey.
Drea Nicole
Uh. Oh, bitch, what the fuck?
Lex P
Okay, donkey. Ain't that how Shrey say it?
Drea Nicole
That's how I laughing. Cause you knew what I was trying to say, but I couldn't think of the line. Sorry, y'. All. My bad. Uh. Oh, we getting in trouble. Hey, came in here. Okay. Don't care.
Lex P
But no. Yes. And like with a paddle.
Drea Nicole
Oh, you didn't say that.
Lex P
Yeah, like with a paddle. Want me to spank him?
Drea Nicole
Did you do it?
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
Yeah, I knew you did it.
Lex P
I love to do for the plot just so I can live.
Drea Nicole
Was that ass, like, waist jiggling? Oh, my God.
Lex P
Go ahead, daddy. You're jiggling, baby.
Drea Nicole
And did you continue to him after that?
Lex P
No.
Drea Nicole
Okay. Because that's how it be though, to like, try it and then you be like, get the ick. You get the ick. It's cool for the moment. But you do get the ick.
Lex P
You do.
Drea Nicole
Wow.
Lex P
Why you want to get spanked?
Drea Nicole
Ugh. Too freaky for me.
Lex P
He liked it though.
Drea Nicole
Do you like getting spanked?
Lex P
Not with no paddle. That seemed like some frat stuff.
Drea Nicole
Stuff like.
Lex P
Like that's lingering from like, maybe. But he was. No. But he wasn't.
Drea Nicole
No. There was like a rumor that was going around when I was in college that the frat, like one of the things that they would do was like eat donuts off of there.
Lex P
That was going around at my school too. So maybe that was true.
Drea Nicole
I don't know.
Lex P
Cuz how we travel from TSU to Nakadochi, I don't know.
Drea Nicole
Let's move on.
Lex P
There must be some.
Drea Nicole
But I be in her comments. Eating us up.
Lex P
Up.
Drea Nicole
You stop eating us up like they
Lex P
was eating them donuts.

See, it's not me, this episode. And I'm glad. I'm glad I kept it cute. So y' all know I did keep it cute.
Lex P
We're kidding. Allegedly, they was eating chiplies off the dig.
Drea Nicole
Ooh, a Shipleys. I'mma eat it off the D. Me too. I ain't gonna lie. I was like, that doesn't sound bad, but okay.
Lex P
Cause if you ever had chiplies before,
Drea Nicole
you know, you know they got boudin kolaches.
Lex P
Y' all eat a little boudin off there, too.
Drea Nicole
I've also eaten worse off of it, so I ain't, uh, oh, whatever. Moving a little deep kolache okay, okay. We gotta, we gotta. Okay, so now it's time to get into the bout.
Lex P
Hey, the about. Bow, bow, bow, bow, bow, bow.
Drea Nicole
Okay, so I'm gonna do a throwback for this bop of the week. When I tell y' all I had such a grand time driving to the studio today. I think a lot of times I talk about who I used to be in high school and my personality. A lot of people don't understand it. I was like, oh, my God, I cannot believe I forgot about this woman. This is who I was. Fifi Dobson. Y' all a little too young for Fifi Dobson. Fifi Dobson was the first, like black girl that we saw really get into, like the rock songs and things like that. The whole album that she had, it was her self titled album, Phi Phi Dobson. But the song that I listened to was rock it til you drop it. I'm serious. Everybody right now, download Rock it til you drop it by Fifi Dobson. It is like such a good song. And when I listen to her whole album on the way here, she take me away. You remember that song, take me away. You know that? I know you know that because I was on the MTV morning jams. But her whole album was actually good bye bye boyfriend. Give it up. We went for a ride. Album was 10 out of 10. And I. And I hate that. I feel like in 2026, more Black women are accepted in different genres and things like that. And she was so ahead of her time. I feel like if she could drop drop Rock it till you drop it right now in 2026 and it would go platinum. It will go crazy. So shout out to Vivi Dobson, still a major fan of yours. Rock it till you drop it 50 dobson. That's my bot for the week, period.
Lex P
What you got? I'm gonna do a throwback too.
Drea Nicole
Okay.
Lex P
So, you know, I love when people execute remakes flawlessly. And a good remake that I was listening to the other day and I don't know if it. Which I think it had just came up on like my playlist or whatever. Like I had it looping or whatever, but. Well, not looping, but you know what I mean? Like shuffle. Yeah, shuffle. So thank God I found you by Mariah Carey, Joe and Nas. It was on Joe's album, like way back in the day. I just feel like that was just such a good remake of the Keith Sweat song make it last forever. It's so good. It's so good. From Nas verse to Mariah's vocals to Joe's vocals, it's just a vibe. I'm gonna listen to it again when I get in the goddamn car.
Drea Nicole
Actually remakes. Back then, you had to. You couldn't just remake it and just do anything.
Lex P
You couldn't.
Drea Nicole
Remixes were actually remixes. It sounded like a completely different song. Listen to. No, no, no. Two different songs.
Lex P
Two completely different songs.
Drea Nicole
They don't do that no more. When you did a remake, you had to make it your own. Yeah. What's the song by Whitney Houston that she redid from Chaka Khan? I'm Every Woman. Chaka Khan made it a hit. Whitney Houston made it a hit. It sounds like two completely different songs. The kids. Y' all need to go back.
Lex P
They do.
Drea Nicole
They need to go back. They starting a remake.
Lex P
Starting to do remakes. Right.
Drea Nicole
They not doing them right.
Lex P
Not doing them right no more. So. Yes. That is my.
Drea Nicole
You know who did do a remake, right? This year? Dishing Motion party. You. Can I get in? That was my neck. My back.
Lex P
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Drea Nicole
Don Julio. I don't drink G. Bad love.
Lex P
Saved it for another episode.
Drea Nicole
Chain like a slushy.
Lex P
You know, sometimes we be running low on songs. Should have saved it for another episode.
Drea Nicole
My bad, my bad.
Lex P
Delete that part. Y' all know, I just realized was a remake.
Drea Nicole
What?
Lex P
Beyonce? That I didn't. Emotions.
Drea Nicole
What is it not The Beatles, the BGs?
Lex P
Yeah. I did not know that. That was not her original song, and it came up on a playlist. And even though it was word for word, bar for bar, run for run, same, she still ate it up.
Drea Nicole
That's how you had to remake a song, though. Literally a lot of songs, I think that we grew up. We didn't learn till later on. Proud Mary is a remake.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
Yes. Wait, it was a. Well, I don't. I can't remember. It's. The song is Proud Mary. I can't remember the original band's name, but Proud Mary is a remake.
Lex P
It was music before that. Oh, wait, Credence Clearwater Revival, like, in the studio?
Drea Nicole
Yes, it was a song.
Lex P
They wasn't just playing band and it's a group of white men on this cover photo.
Drea Nicole
Yes. It was a white band.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
Proud Mary was not originally Tina's. No, it was not.
Lex P
Learn something new every day. Why are you laughing?
Drea Nicole
Cause, say, is there music before then is crazy. Cause the Ozzy Brothers.
Lex P
Oh, but that was around the same time, though.
Drea Nicole
But can I do one more bop?
Lex P
I guess I meant, like, it was music before the 60s. Well, I guess it was like blues. Yes. Jazz.
Drea Nicole
Before the 60s. Yeah. We getting canceled. That's okay, though. We gonna bounce back. We gonna bounce back from this.
Lex P
We're not. Because realistically, day after day after today. Realistically speaking, though, like, I wasn't listening to me.
Drea Nicole
You weren't born.
Lex P
Exactly.
Drea Nicole
But you know your history. Don't do that. Draya, you was being funny. But side note, Ronald Isley dropped a song recently. TY$Sign has a project that's out. Ronald Isley has been making music since my grandfather was a baby.
Lex P
Yeah.
Drea Nicole
No, legit. So music was for them. This song is so good. It's called Nobody has to Know. And it was a remake of la. And he does that on the phone. It's so good. I love him.
Lex P
He do that. That's his.
Drea Nicole
He did the lot. He did it. He did it on the song.
Lex P
But on some real. Though. When did the first song come out? Like the first song ever? Yes.
Drea Nicole
It's like cavemen.
Lex P
Yeah. Like they were chanting.
Drea Nicole
Yeah.
Lex P
I mean, the first recorded song.
Drea Nicole
I'm almost there, bitch.
Lex P
Now you about to get us canceled.
Drea Nicole
Cause not fucking Disney. I don't know when the first song was recorded.
Lex P
Not Tiana.
Drea Nicole
I don't know. It was a long time ago.
Lex P
When was the first song recorded?
Drea Nicole
Oh, but yeah, shout out to Ronald. I. He's still making music. Alex Isley, his niece just dropped the album. And it's fire. It's fire. But Ty Dolla Sign is literally one of my favorite artists. And his project is so good. He has a song with Leon Thomas on there. That's so amazing. So, again, I just wanted to talk about that because I forgot that was my other bop of the week as well. But Ronald Isley has literally been making music since, I want to say, 1950 something. I think that was when they first released their music. So to be making music in 1950 something in 2026, you still making music. Hush. Cause you gonna make her laugh. And this is the moment. I'm trying to give Ronald Isley his flowers.
Lex P
What do you mean? I know he was making music in the 50s. That's when they had them crop tops on.
Drea Nicole
Shout out to Ronald Isley, man. I want to have him on the show. I think we could.
Lex P
I think we could, too. Cause that album.
Drea Nicole
His wife is beautiful.
Lex P
She is.
Drea Nicole
He's from JX Singer, too.
Lex P
Yeah. The first non recording of A Human Scene is a snippet of the French folk song A Clair de la lun recorded on April 9, 1860, by Edward Leon Scott de Marten. He used a device called a phone autograph to itch sound waves onto suits blackened paper. But it was not played back until 2000, 2008. I wonder what that sound like.
Drea Nicole
I don't know. Remember that song that people said was the AI song? She was like, well, you can eat my pussy. I suck your dick. Rub it good right on my clip. Y' all don't remember that song?
Lex P
No. I feel like that's some shit you made.
Drea Nicole
No, it's not real.
Lex P
I was a Lex exclusive.
Drea Nicole
That was a lo composition.
Lex P
The fuck? Hold up.
Drea Nicole
No, seriously, in the comments, y' all gonna know what I'm talking about. Somebody in the comments gonna know I didn't make that. That was an original competition. You lying, bro.
Lex P
Cause it sound like your voice.
Drea Nicole
No, it wasn't, bro. I'm f to go, man. Let's move on, boy. It's a real song. Easy. Yes, I' ma find it.
Lex P
Okay, now it's time to get into our favorite segment of the show, which is pour your heart out. You know, if you have any questions, send them to ask for minds gmail dot com. That's a s k p o u r M I n d s gmail dot com. Hey, Lex. Andrea. I'm a 33 year old male and I'm dating. I recently rekindled a relationship with my ex who has cheated on me. Me. I have my doubts, but she has put in effort to show me that she is remorseful. I want to trust her. I really do. I just still have questions of what she's doing when I'm not around. She is very beautiful and I'm not insecure, but I have the habit of wondering what attention she isn't getting from me. It's just been hard to trust due to our history and my doubts of infidelity. I want to know, is it possible to forgive and forget? Do you guys really believe in forgiving someone you feel is yourself soulmate or am I simply delusional and or a sim? Men are known to be cheaters and are not forgiving. Should women also have space to be forgiving?
Drea Nicole
One? Yes. But I also think like this is when discernment comes in as well. And I think a lot of times we talk about women always forgiving men. And I think certain situations just like this, like a man wants to forgive, you know, his woman. But I will say you can't have a relationship without trust. So you have to ask yourself, am I really ready to put my guard down and trust this woman? Because if you. If you say no, then you're gonna be miserable. It doesn't matter how honest, how faithful she's being, if you don't trust her, you don't have anything. So it's not about what she's doing. It's about, can you allow her to still be her and live her life and trust her to do that? Because if not, you're going to be miserable.
Lex P
I don't know. I don't know how I would feel about continuing to date somebody that I know cheated on me. To be honest. I just think, yeah, you can forgive people, but you just never forget what somebody did to you. And it's almost kind of like a mental. I don't want to say mental prison that you're in, but kind of, yeah, it is, because she's moving on. And she probably thinks shit is good because you forgave her and y' all are back together, but in your mind, you're just constantly replaying the same scenario over and over. Or like you said, like, when she's not in your presence, you wondering what she doing. Whereas in a new relationship, you not gonna be thinking about those things because y' all don't have no history. You know what I mean? The person hasn't already had, like, a transgression against you.
Drea Nicole
So, I mean, I'm not gonna lie. I used to think cheating was a deal breaker until I went through it, and then I realized, oh, I can't ever. I don't care how much you showing up, I can't do it no more.
Lex P
I can't get over it.
Drea Nicole
I used to think, oh, I can get over it. Oh, look, cuz, who. Who you gonna have that's better than me? No, cheating is a 100% deal breaker. I can't do it. Now. I'm never gonna tell somebody not to forgive somebody because everybody is different. Different people can handle different things. So if you can get that trust back, cool. But you have to be able to get that trust back for me.
Lex P
I agree.
Drea Nicole
It's. It's cooked. I'm not telling you to leave, but I'm saying you need to ask yourself that. You know what I'm saying? I agree.
Lex P
I agree. So, yes, y', all, this has been a great episode. Make sure y' all go to musebeautycollection.com, get your lip glosses, matte liquid lipsticks, lip liners, mascaras, eyeliners, jelly blushes. I'm starting to run out. We be talking our ass off. We do not be shitting the up for a long ass hour, two hour long episode. And we do not get that white ring.
Drea Nicole

Lex P

Drea Nicole
Is it tubing mascara?
Lex P

Drea Nicole

Drea Nicole
