BB Judy
You say stuff like that, people. Because you have sex with me, people think that you're saying, my is wide open, beautiful.
The BRAT
No, but I'm never trying to say that. I know, but that's what I was saying.
BB Judy
That's what it sounds like.
The BRAT
That's horrible.
BB Judy
Then don't say that.
The BRAT
I don't want to say that.
Hans Charles
I don't mean.
BB Judy
That's what you say when you say the baby going to slide right out.
The BRAT
I just say that because you've had children and your body can form.
BB Judy
I'm telling you what it sound like.
The BRAT
Shape to have babies. And mine ain't never did that before. I feel like my too little for a baby to come out. I didn't know it opened and all that happened. I just thought, you know, once a woman this before I knew any about any of this. I just thought when a woman have a baby, her body is already conditioned to have more. Cause she's been through that process before, you know, I feel like my hole's so little. Ain't nobody coming through there.
Hans Charles
What's up, y'?
BB Judy
All?
Hans Charles
It's your girl Lex P. And it's.
Lex P
Your girl Dre and Nicole.
Hans Charles
And you are tuned in to another episode of Poor Minds, where a drunk.
Lex P
Mind speaks sober thoughts.
The BRAT
We got some guests today. We got some guests today.
BB Judy
Oh, I'm excited.
Hans Charles
Me, too.
Lex P
I'm excited.
The BRAT
Okay.
Hans Charles
Because first of all, we have the bosses. All bosses in the building. Media icons, reality TV superstars, A legend in the rap game. You know what I'm saying? And like I said, Ms. CEO herself. Okay, we got Bebe, Judy, and the.
The BRAT
Bride in the building.
Lex P
And now Arthur.
BB Judy
Okay, let's talk about it.
Hans Charles
Cause we gotta talk about the book. We do. Cause I feel like that's such a big accomplishment, and it's a testament to Yalls story. So let's talk about the book, y'. All.
The BRAT
What's tea?
Lex P
How did y' all decide that y' all wanted to write a book?
The BRAT
Like, we didn't at first. I didn't want to.
Hans Charles
Okay.
The BRAT
I just felt like we tell people enough. We on social media enough. Brat love Judy was on we TV enough. We gave enough of ourselves. But my wife here felt like we. We really didn't give enough. And there was an opportunity, and she was like, we jumping on that opportunity. Yeah.
BB Judy
I felt like there was money left on the table. I feel like, you know, not only that, but our community might Be book readers. And why don't we just go a little bit deeper, you know? I know you think you gave enough, but did you really?
Hans Charles
So do y' all feel like that's a conflict sometimes? Like, she be like, let's get to this bag. You'd be like, I just wanna hold.
BB Judy
You close to me, tight. That's a good question.
The BRAT
Yes. Oh, yes.
BB Judy
Yes. And it's not that she don't wanna get to the bag. She, like, right now, our son is morning, noon, and night, everything. And that's great. And I'm not saying it shouldn't be that way, but it's definitely not what we got. You know, what's this work we gotta do? It's, you know, the whole entire thing. So I think we are absolutely different when it comes to that. Even when we were doing the TV show, like, I like to. Let's go back to back to back to back to back. She wants to go. Let's take a break. Go. And not that she need a break. I just. I don't want to work 17 hours straight.
Hans Charles
Yeah. Yeah.
BB Judy
I don't mind working 17 hours, but break it up. Give me the 17 straight.
Lex P
I'm like, this.
BB Judy
That's what I was about to say.
The BRAT
I need a break.
BB Judy
That's not a bad thing.
Lex P
She be needing a break. And I'm like, let's just get it over.
Nav Green
Over with.
BB Judy
Yes.
Hans Charles
Let's have it done.
The BRAT
I like a little nap if it's. Let's take a nap. Yeah.
Lex P
But I do. I feel like it's good, though, that you did go ahead and go with it, because y' all have a healthy, positive relationship, and I think that's good for people to see. And also the fact that y' all put it into a book, so y' all are helping a lot of people in a lot of ways.
Hans Charles
How has motherhood, like, changed Yalls relationship, though? Because, like you said, it's like your son is like, morning, noon, and night. How has it changed Yalls relationship?
The BRAT
Oh, my gosh. She'd still be on her phone 24 7. But she does make time for us. Being a mother is my absolute favorite thing in the whole world. I wouldn't trade it for nothing. Like, and it may it makes us closer because she's a mother of three already, and she kind of has been through the situations already, but she kind of let me take the lead when it come to our little boy.
Hans Charles
I love that.
BB Judy
Yeah. And I am still on my phone now. Now, that's. So this is the thing, though. Yeah, that's right. 2026, you know, the consumer is different.
The BRAT
Yeah.
BB Judy
And the workers are different. So now I'm working harder really than I was. Really. People don't want, People don't like to work like that.
The BRAT
Yeah.
BB Judy
The quality of work is different. And I don't, I don't even think it's because the people want it to be like that.
Hans Charles
Yeah.
BB Judy
I think people's motivation has changed because now the minimum wage is different. Like your rent is higher, your gas is higher. So no matter if you have them same 40 hours, the same paycheck, it don't buy the same things it used to be. So people aren't motivated to give the same amount of work ethic that they've been doing.
Lex P
Yeah, that's what I was going to ask you too. Do you feel like it has a lot to do with like the state of the economy right now and the fact that people just don't really have the money to buy things so you have to like be even more creative with your marketing. I mean you already. Super.
BB Judy
Yeah, so they say. I think it's like a proven fact. You used to have to talk to consumers seven times. Like a couple years ago. Now it's 11.
Hans Charles
Oh wow.
BB Judy
And so prior to that it was probably five. So now you have to meet your consumer where they are. Like when they first started talking about doing Tick tock live. I'm not doing no qvc. I don't want to do that. Bye bye bye bye bye. Now look at my dumbass.
The BRAT
Buy, buy, buy shop five dollar five. You sure do.
Hans Charles
Hey now, Todd know what she doing now? She does.
Lex P
But it's so many people, so many entrepreneurs that I've been seeing online saying that, that they feel like now the only way that they're making sales is by getting on live and pushing their products all the time. Whereas a few years ago they didn't have to do this.
BB Judy
They got it in a chokehold.
Lex P
Yeah.
BB Judy
They are the suge knight of Ecom right now.
Hans Charles
Oh my goodness.
BB Judy
Because if you don't participate in it, you still lose sales because that's what people are shopping. And then when you do participate in it, they get a percentage of each sale. And then now they have this new rule and not let me. I have a great relationship with Tik Tok and I would never change that to nothing.
Lex P
Yes, hey, Tik Tok.
BB Judy
But now they have this thing where you have to ship out in two days. So now you need to fulfill through them. Because if you can't ship out in two days, so. But then they get fulfillment fees as well, so I'm telling you.
Hans Charles
And I was just gonna ask, do you like using Amazon? Do you use Amazon too?
BB Judy
I've never been on the Amazon platform.
Hans Charles
See.
The BRAT
And you know what?
Hans Charles
I do shop a little bit on TikTok, but I'm still an Amazon person, so I always wonder. Cause people say the same thing with Amazon too. They kind of strict and they be dipping in the money too. So I was just always curious what made people choose.
BB Judy
It's lucrative though. Yeah, like TikTok, I think we did one of our big lives. We did like 250 in like four hours.
Hans Charles
Oh, wow.
Lex P
And then double back.
BB Judy
Yeah, double back. Two days.
Hans Charles
Hold on, I need to sell me some hair drops.
The BRAT
Wait a goddamn. But look, wait.
BB Judy
To put the icing on the cake, I said let's. Two days later, we did it again.
The BRAT
Hey. Yeah, it's great.
BB Judy
That's what I'm telling you.
Hans Charles
No.
BB Judy
So listen, you get on live and before I can even say hello, what's the sale? I got my wallet out right now. I'm like, damn, bitch, can I say hello? How y' all doing? Set it up yet? Yeah, no, they have it. TikTok has it specifically set up where they send you traffic. Or Stick Tok has a set up to where you get the traffic that you need to get to make your sales.
Hans Charles
Cause they making money off of it.
Lex P
Yeah, that's what I was gonna say. They just got craftsy. Now you have to have your products on TikTok Shop in order to even mention it on your TikTok Live. If it's not. If you don't have it on TikTok shop, they'll shut down your lives.
BB Judy
Yeah, because you driving traffic away from their platform. They muted my live before and I was like, I was in my warehouse packing up stuff like, but it wasn't in the thing. And people was asking me question about the product. And I had it in there, but I didn't have it set up in my shop. And I was like, God damn it. Because I just didn't feel like adding it every time.
Lex P
And like, literally this happened within the last year. Because last year it was fine.
Hans Charles
See, I can't sell nothing but jokes, bitch. I don't got the time to deal with jokes.
BB Judy
You'll be surprised. I'm telling you. You'll be surprised. Cause all they want to do is you talk.
Hans Charles
But see, I need a nap. I can't do it. Seven.
BB Judy
No, but you could. The same way you on Here you be talking to people. I'm telling you, you be done talk. Don't realize you talk for three hours, and then you go look at that bag and it. $16,000. You'd be like, oh, bitch, I'm coming back tomorrow.
The BRAT
Yeah, you right.
Hans Charles
You right.
Lex P
I can't if I can make that that quick.
Hans Charles
So I want to get back to the book. Because I saw a post that you made, and it seemed kind of sassy. I said, well, what's going on?
BB Judy
Well, it is what it is.
Hans Charles
Cause you made a post basically saying, like, if y' all in the book, you know, go read it. You know, I ain't worried about what y' all talking about. So what are. Is there something going on behind the scenes of people that are mentioning.
BB Judy
I just feel like for anybody that has any questions about what was mentioned, they should do the right thing and buy the book. And if somebody's mentioning my name and asking, you know, well, if it's about your life, why did you include me? Or why didn't you include me? It's still my life. I should be able to include whoever the fuck I want if it was on my journey, Right? And feel however you wanna feel.
Hans Charles
I like that.
BB Judy
And then don't pull your ass up to no book signings. Cause my wife is a convicted felon.
The BRAT
Ooh, I like that. Just finna get.
Hans Charles
I'm coming to the book signing.
BB Judy
I'm fasting.
Hans Charles
I like to see what's going on.
The BRAT
Beautiful.
BB Judy
I'm so. It is what it is.
Lex P
She said, brat ready. So pull up if you want to.
Hans Charles
Pull up if you want to. Now, I want to start from the beginning for people that are living under a rock and aren't familiar. How did y' all meet? Who slid in?
The BRAT
Who?
BB Judy
Dm.
Hans Charles
Who approached who first? Who hit on who?
The BRAT
Well, what do you think?
BB Judy
You know what?
Hans Charles
I'm not gonna lie.
BB Judy
I don't know.
Hans Charles
Cause I don't know y'. All. But I think from, like, the outside looking in, I feel like you hit on her. I feel like you came onto her and was like.
Lex P
Cause you seem shy.
The BRAT
A little, sort of. She hired me to do some promo for Kaleidoscope for the Miracle Drops. And I had never met her. So she was on this tour, and it came through Atlanta. So I hopped off the plane. I was coming home from somewhere, so I was like, oh, let me just stop by the tour to meet her. You know what I'm saying? Since she paying me to do, you know, these miracle drop ads and stuff, So I Went by there not thinking it was finna be like 5, 10,000 people in this convention center. And they all was there for her. I'm like, what the fuck? Who is this lady? So I get in there, I'm like, yo, Keanye, I'll tell her that, you know, the brat is here. Yeah, I came out of stop by to say what's up? You know, Child, them motherfuckers ask me, what am I able to Conscious? Yes.
Hans Charles
Yeah.
The BRAT
Motherfuckers had me waiting, like, 30, 45 minutes. Felt like I was standing in the front, like, okay. Nah, I'm getting ready to go. Cause she walking through the crowd, but people stopping us. She's signing autographs, taking pictures.
BB Judy
Oh, my God.
Hans Charles
I know that's right.
The BRAT
I'm like, yo, like, I. Excuse me. I'm the brat. I'm standing up here waiting. I need you to, you know, put a little pep in your step and get on up here quickly. Cause I ain't trying to be waiting like that. But anyway, she finally made it to me, and it was so much going on, I was like, yo, you know, we talked for a little bit. Somebody got that footage, too. Did you see that? Somebody got the footage of us talking or whatever. And we talked for a few minutes, and then I was like, you know what? It's loud in here. Stuff. So many people pulling at you. You gotta work. Let's just link later, you know? And then she was like, okay. So I told her I was gonna be at the studio and come by the studio later. Cause I was thinking maybe we could shoot some promo stuff for Miracle Drops or whatever, since we in the same city.
BB Judy
She said, let's link later. What that supposed to. Well, how I'm supposed to tell you?
The BRAT
I think you like me.
Hans Charles
You want to take me on a date? Yeah.
Lex P
Cause I'm thinking about that right now.
The BRAT
I had no idea, though.
BB Judy
My thing.
The BRAT
I was just stopping by just to say, what's up? I had no idea she even was into girls.
Hans Charles
Oh, okay.
The BRAT
So she like women. I didn't know none of that.
BB Judy
Right. Okay.
The BRAT
When I first saw her on Instagram, I was going through some shit, and she came on there, and I was scrolling, and she had this message, and it just fucked me up. And it was perfect for what I was going through. I was like, oh, man. So I felt like shit was gonna be all right from seeing this message. She had, like, this big, beautiful gray hair, and I was like this. Who is this lady? And the message was just so strong. So I started following her.
Lex P
Okay.
The BRAT
So then, you know, that's how it escalated from that. But then we met, and then. So she came to the studio. She pulls up to the studio, hopped out the car. She by herself, ponytail down to the ground. She got on her jewelry, she on this banging ass outfit. And I'm like, she come to the studio. I'm like, where's security for you? Where's all your people? She was like, I came by myself. I was like, oh, okay. That could have been a hundred niggas at the studio. You know, some studios be packed in every studio with a bunch of niggas. I'm like, they could have ran up on you, been trying to holler at you. Like, it could have been real unsafe for you to be out here in these streets. She had her little gun with her.
Lex P
That's what I was about to say. She had that thing in the car.
The BRAT
So cute. But anyway, so she get there, we talking. We are so, so deaf or whatever. We sitting in the bathroom on the little stoop. We talking about hair, we talking about all the things that we interested in. Then this motherfucker go, when I'm interested.
Lex P
In you, I know that's right. Put it on the floor.
The BRAT
Oh, my God. It fucked me up so bad, y'. All. I lost all my swag. I was like, what? Like, it threw me for a loop. Had nobody ever, you know, approached me like that or been so, like, straightforward, like, it fucked me. I'm thinking to myself, you like girls? You interested in me? What you mean, interested in me? You wanna do a rap song? You want me to write some more jingles? Like, what is it that. What? She was like, I'm interested in you. Like, flat out. And I was like, oh, my God, fuck me up so bad. I caught myself getting some Hennessy. I poured me a little drink. I called myself drinking it. The shit went all, oh, Lord have mercy. I said, okay, bitch, you losing your swag. It's fucked up now, so go get. Roll you a blunt. Do what you do. So I was like, yeah, I roll me a little blunt. I lit that motherfucker. The cherry dropped and burnt the couch. Oh, no. I said, you know what? You are losing all of your swag. Your cool points is out the fucking door. I was just embarrassed. I had butterflies. I was nervous. I felt nauseous. It was all kind of going on, cuz I had never felt like that before. And I was like, this is crazy. So, yeah, anyway, that's kind of. That's how we met. And that was like our first time. Being around each other.
Lex P
So were y' all locked in since that moment? Or would you say it was like a pivotal point where y' all both like, we going, here we go. Now we know. Here we go together. So what happened?
BB Judy
She ghosted me. First of all, let's talk about the fact that I came to Atlanta.
Hans Charles
Okay.
BB Judy
Moved to Atlanta to see her after she told me to come to Atlanta. And she didn't answer her phone.
Lex P
So you were still living in.
BB Judy
I was still living in New Orleans. Yeah. I was still living in New Orleans. Now, granted, let's just say it was five times she invited me. Two or three of them. Five times she didn't answer. But eventually you feel like this person isn't interested or they got some other going on. Cuz why you can't answer your phone.
Lex P
After a certain time?
The BRAT
I keep telling her ass.
Lex P
So what was really going on, br.
BB Judy
So come on now. If somebody don't answer their phone after 4 o' clock or 3 o', clock, what you thinking?
Lex P
I'mma think you got a girlfriend or a boyfriend.
The BRAT
She keeps saying that. But for real, for real. I used to be addicted to my phone. Much worse. Well, not much worse than her. Cause she really be on her shit 24 7. But I used to be addicted to my phone. And Rickey Smiley taught us. Like, he kind of trained us. When you get home, put your phone down. Cause I used to just be glued. Even when I was doing radio and stuff, I would be he like, brat, pay attention to the show Focus. So, you know, he had us put our phones down. So when I got home, I had finally started adapting to putting my phone down. Cause the ringer's already on silent. Cause I was doing radio and I was doing Dishes Nation. And it couldn't be on, the ringer couldn't be on. So I was used to having it off. So I set the phone down when I get home. But she, of course, don't believe that.
BB Judy
And if you invited somebody to leave from their house, let me give it to you. Leave from your house, get in the car, get out the car, go in the airport, board the plane, take the flight, deboard the plane, get your luggage, get in another car, check into your Airbnb to say, hey, I'm here. Where would you like to meet? No answer.
Lex P
Ooh. So how did y' all come back from there?
The BRAT
So, yeah, and a few times I was scared. A few times I was scared to meet up with you. Like, I was nervous like you. You remember that time we met up at my homeboy? Montana spot. And I couldn't even talk to you. I was so shy. I was hiding behind shit when you was going to.
BB Judy
I do remember that.
The BRAT
And I didn't want to. I didn't want to smile. Like I felt like I wasn't cute. Like I felt like I didn't want to do nothing to make you not like me. I was.
Lex P
I was.
BB Judy
But then why invite me?
The BRAT
That is so crazy.
Hans Charles
I would have never guessed that from.
The BRAT
What you lied a whole lot.
Hans Charles
Expected.
BB Judy
No, but honestly, she is like, when we out in public, she is raw.
The BRAT
Yeah, right. But when she.
BB Judy
When she. When it's us, she's not like that or like, for people that she really, really fuck with. Like, if she. If y' all became friends and she got. And she got your number. Just checking on you. I saw your post. Are you okay? Like, she is the. She's the most nurturing human being I have ever met my whole entire life.
The BRAT
But I was fuck about it.
BB Judy
She still.
The BRAT
I'm still from Chicago. Exactly.
Lex P
And don't play.
Hans Charles
All right.
BB Judy
Yeah, exactly.
Hans Charles
She from Chicago.
Lex P
I know Chateau.
The BRAT
You know how we do.
BB Judy
Yeah. But again, she goes to me.
Hans Charles
That is clown.
Lex P
She's not on your blessing.
BB Judy
I moved on. And that's what she always want to talk about. She went and got a boyfriend and all the rest of that. But I mean, if somebody. Not if somebody invites.
The BRAT
My thing is, we had been talking. Okay. Regardless. To the one or two times that you said I ghosted you. We did see each other a few times when you came to Atlanta. Like three, four, five times. Cause remember when you came to my little hotel room? I didn't wanna sleep in the same bed with you. Cause I didn't want you to think I was trying to fuck. So I slept on the couch at the twelve Hotel. And then you said, if I'm sleeping on the couch, you sleeping on the couch too.
Hans Charles
I know. That's right.
The BRAT
So, you know, we did link a few times. So she be trying to make it like I ghosted her every time. I didn't. We had really, like, got to know each other. And I knew that I had feelings for her and I wanted to be with her.
BB Judy
But I got a whole bunch of other bitches.
The BRAT
I had some cleaning up to do. Okay. But I can respect.
BB Judy
No, but so. But there was no communication. I was telling her there was no communication.
The BRAT
I tell somebody that you could lose them. You don't want to risk losing. But then she said nothing.
BB Judy
She says nothing.
The BRAT
You could. Or they could.
Lex P
Or they were respected. Maybe they'll just give you a thumbs up. But what if they don't?
BB Judy
Once I realized going on I will never forget, we were sitting in her Jeep, and I said, whatever the fuck you got going on, clean all that up. And I mushed her in her face, and I said, I'm giving you what it was like a month when she.
The BRAT
Mushed me in my face. We got out the car.
Lex P
A timeline.
The BRAT
I love that bitch, right?
BB Judy
Like, I don't need to know. I don't need to know who, when, where, or whatever. Just get rid of that shit if you interested. Get rid of that shit and get rid of that shit in a reasonable amount of time. Because I'm not gonna entertain anybody. I'm gonna. I'm gonna. I'm gonna continue to entertain you, and I'm gonna wait on you to clean up your mess.
The BRAT
That was after the fact, though. That was after you had got a boyfriend. Let's. Let's rewind back. Cause when you said I was ghosting you and stuff like that, she just moved the on.
Lex P
Okay?
The BRAT
So we were talking. You know, we was in the middle of talking, but I guess she felt like she was ghosted or whatever.
BB Judy
It's the middle of talking. If you got six, seven other people.
The BRAT
Though, but you didn't know it was six, seven other people. It wasn't other people. I didn't answer my phone.
BB Judy
I had got down to three, probably.
The BRAT
Listen. No, it was a few. What happened? Whatever. Beautiful.
BB Judy
So she went from 607 down to three. And since I moved on, she felt like. But I got down to three.
The BRAT
No, you so stupid. Anyway, so I look up, this bitch got a boyfriend. She on Instagram. I'm like, wait a minute.
Hans Charles
Oh, y'.
The BRAT
All.
Hans Charles
You was like, in a public relationship.
The BRAT
I'm like, who is this nigga in her house? I see the back of this N head. Like, if she all hugged up on this nigga at her house, I'm like, wait a minute, bitch. You ain't even tell me that you was moving on. At least tell me you moving on. Cause if you gone, then I need to clean up, get my shit back.
BB Judy
Wait. Hit me up. So y' all think it's fair for her to think that I should have communicated that I was moving on? Even though she didn't communicate that she was cleaning up, nor did she answer when I flew to Atlanta.
Lumumba
Welcome to the A building. I'm Hans Charles.
Nav Green
I'm in Lumumba. It's 1969. Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr have both been assassinated. Assassinated. And black America was at a breaking point. Rioting and protest broke out on an.
Lumumba
Unprecedented scale in Atlanta, Georgia. At Martin's alma mater, Morehouse College, the students had their own protest. It featured two prominent figures in black history, Martin Luther King Sr. And a young student, Samuel L. Jackson.

To be in what we really thought was a revolution, I mean, people were dying.
Lumumba
1968, the murder of Dr. King, which traumatized everyone.
Nav Green
The FBI had a role in the.

Murder of a Black Panther leader in Chicago.
Nav Green
This story is about protest. It echoes in today's world far more than it should, and it will blow your mind.

Hey, I'm Jay Shetty, host of the On Purpose podcast. On a recent episode, I sat down with Nick Jonas, singer, songwriter, actor, and global superstar.
Nick Jonas
The thing I would say to my younger self is, congratulations. You get to marry Priyanka Chopra Jonas. And also, you know, your daughter's incredible.
Jay Shetty
That's beautiful, man. Yeah, thank you. That's so beautiful. I can see that got you a little.
Nick Jonas
Yeah, for sure. Our daughter, she came to the world under sort of very intense circumstances, which I've not really talked about ever.
Jay Shetty
Growing up on Disney in front of millions, how did that shape your sense of self?
Nick Jonas
I went blank. I hit a bad note, and then I couldn't kind of recover. And I had built up this idea that music and being a musician was my whole identity. I had to sort of relearn who I was, took this thing away.
Jay Shetty
Who am I listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Lex P
Where did Nicks at?
Nav Green
He ain't too far behind.
The BRAT
He did all this talking.
Nav Green
What Matthew Stafford is doing statistically, bro, is crazy. Bro, you know I ain't no Josh Allen fan, but Matthew staff forgot better weapon. Caleb Williams.
Hans Charles
Hey.
BB Judy
He should be in that conversation.
Lex P
In what conversation?
Nav Green
He should be in it. Listen to Broken Play with Nav Green from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Jay Shetty
This is Ryder Strong, and I have a new podcast called the Red Weather.
BB Judy
It was many and many a year ago in a kingdom by the sea.
Jay Shetty
In 1995, my neighbor Anna Trainer disappeared from a commune.
The BRAT
It was hard to wrap your head around.
Jay Shetty
It was nature and trees and praying and drugs.
The BRAT
So, no, I am not your guru.
Jay Shetty
And back then, I lied to my parents, I lied to police. I lied to everybody.
The BRAT
There were years, right, where I could.
Lex P
Not say your name.
Jay Shetty
I've decided to go back to my hometown in Northern California, interview my friends, family, talk to police, journalists, whomever I can to try to find out what actually happened.
Nav Green
Isn't it a little bit weird that.
BB Judy
They obsess over hippies in the woods.
Hans Charles
And not the obvious boyfriend?
The BRAT
They have had this case for 30 years. I'll teach you sons of. Come around here with my wife.
Nav Green
Boom, boom.
Jay Shetty
This is the red weather. Listen to the red Weather on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Lex P
So y' all just, like, abruptly stopped talking? It wasn't no conversation. Y' all both moved on. Okay.
Hans Charles
I think it's not a right or a wrong. I think you did what was right for you, and you did what was right for you because it was a miscommunication. Because I'm the same way. If you don't tell me that you love me and you want to be my man forever, I'm going to get another.
Lex P
I'm going to go get another one.
The BRAT
Yeah, but not fast.
BB Judy
So this is the thing. We were. I mean. And if that's the thing, don't ask me to fly to your motherfucking city. Like, we could be talking and discussing and playing whatever on the phone, but you want me to continuously fly to your city and you ignore that.
The BRAT
First of all, this bitch flew everywhere. She act like she was super broke and couldn't fly anywhere. She flew everywhere. She flew to get people's shit for Miracle Drops. She was flying to Atlanta anyway.
BB Judy
I did.
The BRAT
Because when she went, she didn't link with me. She was linking with other. Not other people to get promo. She was coming here, working. Anyway. In Atlanta.
Lex P
No, but the time that was coming.
Hans Charles
Now.
BB Judy
Mm. All right. I never forget the first time we had a Valentine's Day that we were not, like, we were just talking, not dating. She posted, like, seven, eight different flowers.
Hans Charles
None of them was from me. Oh, now you was picking then.
The BRAT
The ones from you came from 1-800-Flowers. They were in a box.
Hans Charles
I hate 1-800-Flowers. I'm so glad you got.
The BRAT
They were in a box. And they. Come on.
BB Judy
So first of all, my personal assistant got that, and after that happened, so they went and bought her this Venus et Flor, and I spelled her name out and I sent it to her job and did the whole entire thing, but I only sent it to her to stay. Seven flowers on Valentine's Day. You doing something?
The BRAT
No. Like, I can't help. I can't help it if people want to buy me flowers on Valentine's Day. That don't necessarily mean I'm doing nothing with them.
Hans Charles
Were you trying to make her jealous with those posts, though?
The BRAT
No, they was just so pretty. Like, Rickey Smiley got me flowers. Jermaine Dupri got me flowers. I had quite a few.
BB Judy
Bullshit.
Lex P
But did you post that, or was you just putting hearts and saying.
BB Judy
Exactly.
Hans Charles
Cause if you would have tagged and like, thanks, bro.
The BRAT
I would have thought I post because they were so plentiful and there was so many of them.
BB Judy
You knew what you was doing.
The BRAT
You knew you was being a little petty. Well, no, I wasn't. That.
BB Judy
That didn't come from them.
The BRAT
Yes, it did. You could ask all the people. Yes, it did.
BB Judy
But we here now. So I had boyfriend. Boyfriend got gone.
The BRAT
So I stalked her page. Once she got a boyfriend, I was like, damn, I feel up. See, I done lost what I really wanted. I done lost the thing that made me feel like I never felt before. So I was like, what I was gonna do, Hopper?
Lex P
So how did y' all come back together?
The BRAT
I stalked that page until that nigga was gone.
Lex P
Okay?
The BRAT
I watched that page every fucking day. Like, is this nigga gone yet? He. I scroll down, see him. Damn. Then I see him. I'm like, he ain't gone yet. Yeah. So it took, like, maybe almost a year.
Hans Charles
Oh, wow.
The BRAT
How long you with that? Why you say she was with that for, like, seemed like almost a year, that I was, like, stalking your page. You know what I'm saying? Like, damn, this motherfucker been around forever. I know he gonna up. I know something gonna happen, so eventually. Lord knows. It took a long time. The wasn't on the page no more.
Hans Charles
Oh, I know you was.
The BRAT
I was like, oh, this nigga ain't on the page no more. I text her, say, how you doing? You all right? What you been up to? Yeah. And that's when I found out she blocked me. Caus felt like, you know, he read her page, her texts. We was communicating. He like to, you know, communication. So she blocked me. So I found out that's why she blocked me.
Lex P
Okay, But.
The BRAT
But yeah, so. So prevailed. Yeah, we prevailed. And we here now, and we married and we happy. We got this book.
BB Judy
We got a baby.
The BRAT
That's my beautiful.
BB Judy
I love this.
Lex P
Y' all had such a beautiful wedding. Oh, my God.
The BRAT
Thank you.
Lex P
It was so beautiful. And y' all both looked so amazing. But I did want to touch back on you saying that she was the most nurturing person that you ever met. So do you feel like that had a lot y' all deciding to go ahead and have a child together? Because I know I. I used to watch some of the episodes of y' all show, and I know you was kind of trying to convince her to have.
BB Judy
Right. And I've done it, right? And I know how she is, and I know the type of things that she cherished. And I told her I would have did it. I didn't. I didn't mind caring for her. I actually told her that early in our relationship.
The BRAT
Right. I told her they would slide right out of her. It'd be easy for her.
Lex P
Right?
The BRAT
She had three already, so she.
BB Judy
But see, when you say. I could say this in this room because we can curse and stuff. When you say stuff like that, people. Because you have sex with me, people think that you're saying, my pussy is wide open, beautiful.
The BRAT
No, but I'm never trying to say that. I know, but that's what I want.
BB Judy
That's what it sounds like.
The BRAT
That's horrible.
BB Judy
And don't say that.
The BRAT
I don't want to say that.
Hans Charles
I don't want to say.
BB Judy
That's what you say when you say the baby gonna slide right out.
The BRAT
I just say that because you've had children before and your body can form. I'm telling you what it sound like. Shaped to have babies. And mine ain't never did that before. I feel like my pussy too little for a baby to come out. I didn't know it opened and all that shit happened. I just thought, you know, once a woman. This before I knew about any of this. I just thought when a woman have a baby, her body is already conditioned to have more. Cause she's been through that process before, you know, I feel like my hole so little. Ain't nobody coming through there. So. Yeah, I understand now. So. Okay, I won't say it no more.
BB Judy
But, yeah, no, girl, you done said it on national television and everything.
The BRAT
Okay, well, then I keep saying it.
BB Judy
As far as the nurturing thing, I knew. I know the time that she likes to cherish. And I wasn't trying to convince her technically. I just wanted to let her know that it would be an experience that she would cherish. And then I even try to record some of our personal moments and give it to the public. Like, the first time the baby moved, you know, it brought her to tears. And the whole entire thing, like, she. This is one of her life's biggest accomplishments. Whether she said or not, this is what she feels like. Like, out of all the things I could have ever done, this is the thing that has brought her so much joy. Yeah, I don't. I can't speak for her, but I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have had it no other way.
Lex P
Now, it was really heartwarming seeing you pregnant because you were really enjoying it. And you was really shocked all the time with any little thing.
The BRAT
I was. I thought I had to drink milk for my titties to get milk. Oh, Lord. I kept telling my wife, I'm not drinking enough milk. My titties ain't getting big. I ain't got no milk in my titties. She was like, oh, my God, I'm finna record your ass. Okay, say it again.
BB Judy
What you say?
Hans Charles
So I do wanna talk about, like, the IVF journey that y' all went through and things like that. Because there's so many decisions that you have to make going into that. Like, you know, the sperm donor who eggs y' all wanna use and things like that. And I know y' all made headlines. Cause everybody was talking about the sperm donor that y' all chose and why y' all made that decision. And everybody was in a hoopla about it. I was like, I don't think it's a big deal if this is their decision when they winded things down. So talk about the process of choosing the sperm donor and how y' all went with the one that you chose.
BB Judy
Well, it was my eggs. And they do something called genetic testing. And when they did my genetic testing, there were, like, seven different things that I carry genes for. And so when you do that, when you choose in your sperm donor, you have to go in. Is it seven or nine? Whatever. It's a lot. It made you feel like, what the. Am I living?
Lex P
Yeah, right?
BB Judy
So then you go. You go to the different banks. You have to enter into seven to make sure the person is not positive of Those things as well. Then your child. Right. Because if they have it, then your child is gonna have the thing.
The BRAT
Something. Gotcha.
Lex P
Okay.
Hans Charles
Okay.
BB Judy
So when that happened, I think a lot of people don't even realize how small the pool is for black men at all. When that happened, our black man choice went down to zero.
Hans Charles
Oh, wow.
BB Judy
So we had choice of white, Asian, and like, our baby, he's technically Bulgarian. It's like. It's not even. I guess it's technically a white. Yeah, but it's not even a white white. You know what I'm saying?
The BRAT
He's got a few little things going on, right?
BB Judy
Yeah.
The BRAT
His.
BB Judy
We picked his donor based off of. Once we saw that we couldn't have somebody that was our race. We tried to see height. We try to see build. And then they also even went into, like, the person left something and what they do. Like, they had. One of her choices was Asian, and he was a musician, I think. And mine was a thriving entrepreneur that did something. And so we just figured the best.
The BRAT
Way and did the history search all that stuff and to see what they've done in life and how they progressed. And, yeah, I think we made an awesome choice. And I'm very proud of the choice we made. Whether people understand it or not, I don't give a fuck. We have a beautiful.
Hans Charles
So cute, adorable. And I knew it was more behind. I'm like, everybody had surface level posted.
BB Judy
That, but nobody wanted to hear it. Cause my motherfucking wife ass wanted to say. And I didn't think about it on our show when we were looking like, you know how when you film, you have to, like, stage some scenes and not saying it was fake, but we had to look through a whole bunch of choices, and we would look through a whole bunch of choices that had nothing to do with genetic testing. And her aunt called one of the candidates Jiminy Cricket.
Lex P
Oh, yeah.
BB Judy
So people clip.
The BRAT
People clipped that.
BB Judy
And they made it seem like she felt about everybody. And so then we go on Tamron trying to talk about it this, that, and the other. The thing that bothered me the most was she was pregnant at the time when it was going on, and people were wishing death on our child and wishing that the pregnancy was ended and would terminate. And, you know, I can't believe y' all and this other. And I was like, now, bitch, I don't go in these comments and cuss at nobody. I am the mild one out of these. Yeah, but y' all got me fucked up right now, right? Who the fuck would even say that?
Hans Charles
Like is it that serious?
The BRAT
Right?
BB Judy
To some people I guess it is. Or it's the most salacious thing that they talking about at the time. But our baby is healthy. Our baby was born and he has, you know, he has his, he has 10 toes, 10 fingers, all of the things that, you know, he's living, he's active and that's what we wanted, we didn't want. Cause if it's still on my page, some of the fucking shit that they had on there had mutation. This and mut, you know.
The BRAT
And I'm like, what if you never know what you have that runs through your bloodline or through your family line? So it's important to really get that genetic testing because a lot of these people out here fucking and they just fucking and they having babies and you might have some things that don't mix with that person. So whether you heterosexual or whatever you are, you should get tested to make sure you don't have those diseases and those different things. Abnormalities. Abnormalities. Abnormalities that run, you know, through your bloodline. Cause that can, you know, it can make a child not healthy.
Lex P
No, yeah, I agree. I think we talked about this before on the show. Neither one of us have kids yet. But I did genetic testing maybe like six years ago. Cuz I just wanted to see too if I had any things, you know, in my genetics. And luckily I didn't. But like with a lot, especially in a black community with sickle cell, that's something that happens a lot. Like two people won't know that they have the sickle cell trait and then they have a baby together and then the baby get sickle cell.
Hans Charles
Yeah, that's actually a good point to get tested with your.
The BRAT
No matter what you are.
BB Judy
Yeah, yeah. But nobody thinks about that.
Lex P
Nobody ever thinks about it. Yeah, but I'm glad that y' all did touch on that because maybe that'll make a lot of people go, yeah.
BB Judy
And IVF was a really.
The BRAT
I wouldn't do it again.
Lex P
You wouldn't, Would you do it?
The BRAT
We got, we got, we got a couple embryos left.
BB Judy
So we again she saying that cuz I wound up in a hospital with blood clots in my lungs. It caused me to have an enlarged.
The BRAT
Heart, over stimulated ovary, something hyper stimulated. One day she was like, I can't breathe. I'm like what you mean you can't breathe? And, and she's like I need to go to the emergency room. I'm like oh shit. Like what's going on? And they had extracted her eggs already or whatever. So when we got there, they said she had a blood clot in her lungs.
BB Judy
They told me. Yeah, they told me. Is your will updated? Make sure to.
Hans Charles
Oh, Lord.
BB Judy
Yes. They said, make sure to send your family for the. Just in case. Make sure to send your family, you know, all of the things. And if anything happens. They put me on blood thinners.
The BRAT
She called her fucking family. Like, I was sitting there, like, this is not.
BB Judy
That's a lie.
The BRAT
And then they admitted her into the hospital, and they kept her. Then. Then she ended up having an enlarged heart. Because the.
BB Judy
What do you call it, whatever it is, is work.
Hans Charles
So whatever.
BB Judy
All of the medicine that you gotta pump all the time. I mean, I was. I think it's 01 chance. Well, I was the 01 chance.
Hans Charles
Oh, my God. And so you said y' all still have some frozen embryo.
The BRAT
We have some embryos.
BB Judy
So y' all pay egg rent.
Hans Charles
You don't even got to pay rent on them.
The BRAT
Yeah, yeah.
Hans Charles
So y'.
The BRAT
All.
Hans Charles
Y' all pay a Yearly or monthly?
BB Judy
Yearly. 2700.
The BRAT
Oh, but that's not that bad. That's not.
Lex P
2700. Not that bad. The way we had a guest on the show recently, and she was telling us about, like, ignorant and stuff, and the way she was talking, I don't know what I thought she was gonna say a month.
BB Judy
No, let me say. I will say the person that we did it with, the. The doctor, because we brought her so much business.
Lex P
Okay.
BB Judy
So I'll say that she does look out for us.
Lex P
Okay.
BB Judy
Because we brought her.
Hans Charles
They got a little section 8. They in bros. They get a little discount. I like that section 8.
The BRAT
We're doing this podcast. Mommy, is everything okay at home?
BB Judy
That's our baby now.
Lex P
Her mom, because I like it by my mama, too.
The BRAT
Okay, I'm call. Call Jordan, see where he is. See if he can. Is he coming soon? Okay, love you. Bye. She, like, jordan ain't home yet. And, you know, it's dark. You know, she don't like being in the house by herself. I don't care what she say. She's like, jordan ain't here yet. You know, she probably walking around with the gun, holding the baby. Holding the baby in water and checking all the locks.
Hans Charles
Okay. We have.
Lex P
We haven't even gotten into the first topic, but I do want to ask y' all one more question about the book. What is the biggest takeaway that y' all want people to take away from reading the book.
The BRAT
That we human?
BB Judy
Yeah, I would say that. And that everybody does go through. Yeah, everybody does we have parts in there called, like, Golden Rules, where, you know, because I'm not a reader all the way. So I need somebody to break it down, summarize it, break it down to me in the layman's terms. And so we have a whole bunch of those.
Lex P
Okay.
BB Judy
In there. So it could be, you know, not just for the people that love to read, but also the people that like to. Or if you read and you have adhd and by the time you got to the end, you forgot.
Hans Charles
Oh, that's me. That's. I can't wait to read it.
Lex P
Is it on Audible?
BB Judy
Yep.
The BRAT
Okay.
BB Judy
And on audible. We did it. Like, we.
The BRAT
That's what I was just about to ask.
BB Judy
So she did her parts and then I did the truth.
Lex P
Okay, I like that.
The BRAT
No, she did her parts and I did the truth. I kept it 100.
BB Judy
Oh, girl.
The BRAT
But she exagged all the way.
Lex P
I love listening to Audible. The actual author read it and narrate it.
Hans Charles
I thought you need to do that.
The BRAT
I don't have a book.
Hans Charles
No, I'm saying whenever you.
BB Judy
Yeah.
Hans Charles
Or read the books for people. Because your voice is soothing.
Lex P
Is it?
Hans Charles
Okay, so we gonna get. Oh, you wanna go to the.
BB Judy
Okay. Yeah.
Hans Charles
Ty, what we drinking today? All right.
Lex P
We about to get so Funky. So with Ms. Debrat and Ms. Judy today, we're gonna call the. This one the Way Love Goes, in honor of their book that they were just mentioning.
The BRAT
Oh, that's cute.
Lex P
So this one, we have some reposado tequila, we have some lime juice, a little bit of orange liqueur, some hickory smoked syrup, and then a splash of grapefruit juice. And then I have garnished it with a creme bruleed orange slice. So I basically added some brown sugar on top of the orange, kind of just smoked it, creme bruleed it, and then topped it on top of that cocktail. And then for Ms. Judy, we have some sweet wine, little moscato to get her going today. I know that's right. The way love goes. Thank you.
The BRAT
Ty.
BB Judy
That was you.
Lex P
And I heard you back there with that torch. I was like, what's she back there burning up?
BB Judy
Every time Ty back there doing something, people say that.
Hans Charles
We can always hear Ty in the back.
Lex P
Yeah, but, you know, I can't see her today. But, like, I could hear it.
The BRAT
And I was like, what's she back there?
Hans Charles
She be trying to. We got Chi Town tonics in the house.
Lex P
I have to show up.
The BRAT
You had to cut up, baby.
Hans Charles
Ty is never gonna let y' all.
The BRAT
Forget Ms. Chicago is in the building. Yes, Chanta.
Hans Charles
Okay, we gonna start with our first topic today. Finally, y'. All.
BB Judy
We a little chatty, so y' all gonna have to excuse us.
Hans Charles
Okay.
The BRAT
So how do you.
Hans Charles
How do you feel when women start dating women? Only because they feel like things aren't working out with men? They be like, you know what? I'm tired. I don't wanna do this no more. And they necessarily aren't really into women, but they're just kinda like, oh, let me try something.
BB Judy
They gonna wind up with a woman that's just like that, nigga. They just.
Hans Charles
You think so?
BB Judy
Absolutely. Because that's what you was attracted to. And I say that respectfully, because people, you know, they gonna dip their toe in the pond. Yeah, girls ain't shitty either sometimes.
The BRAT
But I must say, we are more affectionate. No, agree. We pay more attention than do.
BB Judy
Okay.
The BRAT
And women know what women love.
Hans Charles
Right.
The BRAT
And what women like.
BB Judy
Agree. But they still can be dogs and date seven, eight different girls at the same time.
The BRAT
But until they find a main that is okay for them to do.
BB Judy
That's my point, though, because if they going from a. Just to figure something, like, to see if it's better over there, it might not be.
Lex P
Yeah, that's true. I definitely think that people have this misconception that, like, oh, if I go date women, she not going to do me wrong, or they not going to do me wrong. When, like you said, it's ancient women just as much as it is men. You still pick the right one.
BB Judy
Now, women are all the things that she said. We are more caring, more effective, and not trying to convince nobody nothing but.
Hans Charles
Right. Right.
BB Judy
You know? Cause everybody's cup of tea, you know, is their own cup of tea. Yeah, that's true.
Hans Charles
Cause I feel like sometimes, though, like, I have friends in the community, and they're like, I don't like dating somebody who's unsure. Like, some women I've met, they're like, I don't like to date bisexual women. Because I feel like you're just saying you're bisexual, but you're just experimenting with women, but you really like men.
The BRAT
So how.
Hans Charles
Like, before, obviously, when y' all were, like, single and dating, would y' all be okay with, like, dating a girl who's like, oh, I'm unsure, or I'm in on the fence? Like, how was that for y'?
The BRAT
All?
BB Judy
One of the first girls I dated was like that. And I felt like she. When she was doing that, it was more, like, attention. Like, we would. We was Kind of. We both were shaped the same, by the way. So when we would go in public places, she would like to. To hold my hand when N was around, like she would. It almost seemed like she was doing it for the attention of it.
The BRAT
Yeah.
BB Judy
And. Yeah, it didn't. Maybe a month. Yeah.
Hans Charles
Cause that's a little weird. Cause I feel like in lesbian relationships they already have to deal. Cause I see this online a lot with men. Like, oh, she just ain't had me. She just ain't had a man good enough.
The BRAT
No. Cause I think we both fucked with niggas and bitches. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
BB Judy
People don't. I don't know. Do people know that about you?
The BRAT
Do they know that about you? What? I'm not gonna lie. With men and women, I got.
BB Judy
I got four children. Not total.
The BRAT
Well, yes. I mean, hey, back in the day. Yeah.
BB Judy
Oh, you mean, do they know that I fucked with women before? Yeah, I think so. I've been transparent.
Hans Charles
Yeah.
The BRAT
Yeah. I fucked with niggas all through church. High school. Yeah. Junior high. The beginning of the career. All of that. I remember. I mean, I remember you used to.
Lex P
Date AI back in the day.
The BRAT
A couple people.
BB Judy
Yeah, that's right.
Hans Charles
But that's the one.
The BRAT
She got them, girl.
Lex P
The only one person that stick out, girl.
BB Judy
And I'm so tired of hearing about it. Let me tell you why this won't go. Do an interview.
The BRAT
Please don't.
BB Judy
And talk about something that. That they did that is sexually explicit. And then it got clipped. Oh, yeah. And got posted everywhere. So I'm scrolling.
The BRAT
I had no idea.
BB Judy
Every motherfucking post I have.
The BRAT
My wife.
Lex P
Yeah.
BB Judy
Talking about something with her ex. And I don't care that she have exes, but I don't wanna know what the.
The BRAT
You did.
Lex P
Yeah, right. And that's the worst when shit go viral. Cause you can't.
The BRAT
I didn't.
Lex P
You can't block all of it.
The BRAT
First of all, I didn't even expect that to happen. That was probably the very first podcast I had ever did.
BB Judy
Okay, Candy, I love you, but you was fucked up for that question.
The BRAT
And it was with Candy. And I just didn't think that. I don't know. I just didn't think that way. And had I known it was gonna piss her off, I wouldn't have fucking did it. I had never done it.
BB Judy
Had you known. So if I went on the podcast and told somebody about my sexual excursions with my ex, that wouldn't do nothing.
The BRAT
I don't know if I would be mad at you. Cause it's something you've been through and something that you did or lived. You ain't fucking with the nigga no more or the bitch no more. You with me where you need to be, where you're supposed to be. So it wouldn't have mattered. Cause that's your past experience. But I didn't realize it was gonna make you feel fucked up. And I definitely didn't think it was gonna go viral. Cause I was just having a conversation with Kandy, who I've been knowing since I was a child. I was. I was just comfortable. I didn't think. I just didn't think that was gonna happen. And I keep apologizing to you for that. So stop bringing this shit up. Cause I said I'm sorry already. Because I really am. I felt bad. Had I known that was gonna offend you, I would have never talked about it. Have I done it since? Have I talked about any other body ever since then that I dated? No, I haven't.
BB Judy
It's not that it's specific rules, but it's.
The BRAT
I know. You're right. I get it. It. I get it. You definitely made me understand.
Lex P
But I think it's where she coming from, though, cuz. I feel like I more so am on the side with you. Where I feel had a past. We all have exes, but I was in a situation like this before. Like, Lex and I did somebody's podcast, like, a few years ago, and I got asked a question, and I talked about, like, an encounter that I had with one of my exes. And my boyfriend at the time was so mad at me, he was pissed.
The BRAT
But you didn't think it was going to piss him off? Had you thought it was going to.
Lex P
Piss him off, you probably would.
The BRAT
Exactly.
Hans Charles
Yeah. And I get where you coming from.
BB Judy
Cause I love you.
Hans Charles
You had sex before me?
The BRAT
Yes.
Hans Charles
You were doing things before you met me.
BB Judy
I don't wanna know. But not even that part. It's not that I don't know that you did stuff before me. It was specific detail.
The BRAT
Yeah.
Hans Charles
Like, I don't wanna hear about the details. So I feel you. I definitely feel you. So how do y' all feel now, though? Like, I know, like, y' all are married, y' all have children. So how did y' all deal with it in the beginning? Cause I know men used to say things like that to y'. All. Like, oh, you know, to be with me, you don't need that. Like, how do y' all deal with that?
The BRAT
We don't give a about that.
BB Judy
It don't do nothing when I say don't do nothing.
Hans Charles
Yeah.
The BRAT
Can't nothing with us in our relationship at all. We don't give a about what nobody say. Coulda, shoulda, woulda, you didn't, and you ain't and you can't. So it is what it is. Yeah.
Hans Charles
And do y' all deal with that, too? Like, a lot of people when they see yalls relationship, they want that and they don't mind.
The BRAT
People be like, if we ain't. If y' all ain't loving us, like Brad and Judy, we don't want it.
Hans Charles
But do y' all deal with, like, people being like, oh, I wanna date you, or I wanna like. Cause people, sometimes they see relationships and they be like, oh, I want her and I don't care. I'll be aside. Do y' all deal with that?
The BRAT
I'll fucking kill somebody over this one.
Hans Charles
I know that.
Lex P
I know that's right.
The BRAT
Yeah, we don't do that. Okay, good. Like, good.
Hans Charles
But I'm saying people message y' all like that, like, trying to.
BB Judy
I saw it in her dm. Uh. Oh, that's what I'm saying.
Hans Charles
I know it happens like people either.
BB Judy
But neither one of us entertain it.
Lex P
Cause y'.
Lumumba
All.
BB Judy
The password to her phone is the same password to mine, right?
Hans Charles
That's real love.
The BRAT
Absolutely.
Hans Charles
I love that.
Lex P
But yeah.
BB Judy
And not saying it's perfect, though, because I think that's the whole. And not to bring it back to the book, but it's the main reason we did that, is to say, yes, nice, pretty and shiny. But we also go through our struggles.
The BRAT
Right.
BB Judy
We also, you know, we also fight, we also fuss, but this is how we got to the other side of it.
The BRAT
Yeah, right, Right.
BB Judy
Like, you know, I'm gonna express something that I don't like. She's gonna express something that she doesn't like. I'm gonna hear her out and listen to her side. She's gonna hear me out and listen to my side. And we just.
The BRAT
But. But if we have a motherfucking disagreement.
BB Judy
Oh, there we go.
The BRAT
This bitch can hold a grudge. I tell you, boy, we get to fussing and arguing about something, and I be ready to, like, we fussing, and she will just get up and walk the fuck out. I can't stand that.
Lex P
So you feel like you get your ass back here.
The BRAT
We need to talk about this shit and resolve it. Well, she need to walk away, take a break and compartmentalize and go, you know, so she don't say nothing. She don't mean you know, or say nothing she can't take back. I'm like, damn, you would say something to me that you can't take back. So in the heat of the moment, in anger, you possibly could. So I try to understand that, but I still don't fucking like it to this day. I don't wanna go to bed mad. Tomorrow is not promised. I don't like that shit. I can't sleep at night if we mad at each other and we sleeping on the other side of the bed. She on the edge of one side.
Lex P
I'm on the edge of the other.
The BRAT
Side, bitch, I'm cold. I want some skin. You know what I'm saying? She over there. I'm like, God damn it, why didn't we resolve this shit? But she could take it on for a couple days and us not talk about it. I need to resolve it. Yeah.
Lex P
We resonate with y' all in so many ways. Even though, I mean, it's like we have a platonic relations is not romantic. But y' all remind me still so much of our. Because having a business with somebody is like a marriage, and people do not realize that. And I'm like, you like. I be like, no, we need to talk about this right now. And then she'll go days without wanting to talk about stuff over here.
The BRAT
Mad. Yeah, let's watch it. So either one of us have an attitude, we think about it. Otherwise, we trying to be mad. Mad at each other. I ain't f to kiss her before I leave that. I ain't doing that. Make it up like that is hard. Make it heavy.
Lex P
It gets petty. I feel like the more time that passed by without y' all having a conversation now y' all both being petty.
The BRAT
Yeah.
Lex P
It's like, oh, she not.
BB Judy
But that's the thing, though. It's not that I haven't. I haven't carried it. I haven't put it away. I. I just have learned.
The BRAT
But you can't put it away. I don't like, don't put it away. What the you mean you put it away? Then where does it go? Cuz it's still sitting on me.
Hans Charles
Right?
The BRAT
Right. Put it away. Where?
BB Judy
They always say this. As a CEO running a company, it is really hard to carry all of the things in life right. And. And get up and function. Right.
Lex P
Right.
BB Judy
So I've learned how to compartmentalize all of it. Otherwise, carrying. Carrying it all. You lose your damn mind. You don't want to take the journey. You don't want to do the thing. So along with having a business, I also support my family. I also, you know, all of these extra things. And so when it comes to our.
Hans Charles
Our.
BB Judy
Our home and our lives, it's like, I hear you. Beautiful right now, but I'm gonna tuck this right away in this box over here because I know I'm mad. I know. I know how I can respond to this. I know, right?
The BRAT
But I'm still sitting over here with my feelings hurt. Yeah. She done moved on.
BB Judy
I might do it today, not two days later. I'd be like, oh, yeah, I forgot we even fussed about that.
The BRAT
Yeah.
BB Judy
Because I didn't put it to the side.
The BRAT
You don't forgot. Ain't that some.
Lex P
Is she like. And I'm over here still.
BB Judy
The thing, it's like, oh, yeah. Like, that's that. Okay, let's.
The BRAT
Yeah, bitch. When we gonna talk about it? After you make the miracle drops and do all that shit and go do content at the warehouse? When is we gonna talk?
Lex P
Like, we still need to talk.
Hans Charles
You wanna know? So let me ask you, when y' all first, like, started dating? Had you came out already?
The BRAT
No. No.
Hans Charles
Okay. That's what I wanna talk about. Because I remember, like, seeing, like, rumors and things like that y' all were dating. But I was like, it was a mixed reaction when you came out. Cause everybody was like, I thought she already came out. We already knew that. And then people was like, oh, my gosh. It was. So how were y' all dating? And still. I mean, of course you wanna keep it quiet, but at the same time, it's like, okay, I still wanna go out with my person, have dinner. Like a regular dating situation. So how was that dating somebody that's extremely popular and famous, but they're in the closet in private?
BB Judy
I was actually fine. I used to text her manager all the time and ask questions. Am I supposed to. How do I send her something? If I send her something, do I not put my name on it?
Hans Charles
Wow. You know?
BB Judy
But I liked her so much.
Hans Charles
I was with.
BB Judy
However I needed to date her. Whether she came to my place or we had to meet somewhere or, you know, hide in the back of the car, it was her.
The BRAT
Yeah.
BB Judy
And then when we went to Essence, she held my hand first.
The BRAT
At that point, I was ready to come the fuck out of the room. You made me want to just tell everybody I wanted to hold your hand. I sat down. I wanted her to sit on my lap. I wanted that ass in my lap. I wanted that ass on me. I. I don't know. For the first time in My life. I wanted to scream it from the mountaintop.
BB Judy
Oh, my God.
The BRAT
Like, I wanted her front center stage when I'm rapping, I wanna look at her when I'm rapping. Like, everything. Like, I just. Oh, my God. My fucking team lost their mind. Cause I had never been like that at all in public for years. Like, 20 years, 30 years. So when I would hold her hand, they would all grab hands like, okay. Like, we walking through. Through the crowd together. Like they was trying to protect me. Cause they know what was going on. They like, what are you doing? Like, I'm like, nah, man. I want everybody to know I'm holding her hand. I was kissing on her cheek in public, and niggas was like. My team was like, what are you doing? Are you sure this is what you want to do? Are you okay? Like, what's going on? But yes, like, yes, it was amazing. We went to Morrow's and had dinner. Patti lavelle was there. It was Essence, right? And we was all in there. And that's the. We sat next to each other. I was rubbing on my foot under the table, like, ooh, bitch, I fucking loved you. But every. You know, my team was still looking around like, b, people are watching. I don't care. Like, I wanted to sit close to her. I wanted to feed her. I didn't give a fuck who was watching, who had their camera out. For the first time. I felt like. Like, free and did not give a.
Lex P
So prior to Judy, was it something that you just wanted? Like, you didn't want people to know? Or do you. Did you just feel like this my business? Like, I don't owe y' all to let y' all know.
The BRAT
Well, I didn't want people to know. And back in the day, it wasn't cool. It wasn't safe to let people know. You know, Ellen lost her whole show. She lost her whole when she came out. That was not cool. Back in the day, right? You couldn't tell people you like girls or you like women or whatever, whatever. That you lose your whole career and your whole. So I had a lot to lose. Like, in the industry, they want you to be. They tell you you want the to want you, and you want the to want you. You can't say you in a relationship, you can't be pregnant. You can't do none of that. Because then you gonna up the record sales and you up the money. So that is what we are taught. We was taught growing up, you know what I'm saying? In the industry. So. And then after A while it became like, okay, this is my sacred thing. Like my relationship. Relationships in my private life is the only thing that I have to myself. Cause everybody else is in the business, they create lives and they wanna make up stuff. So I'm just gonna keep this to myself. So that's what it became. Like a protected thing. But then when I met her, I was like, fuck that. I need people to know I love this motherfucker. Like, not saying all the other people wasn't shit, but it's the way she made me feel. You know what I'm saying? She made me feel safe. And I wanted people to know. I got a bad bitch. Yeah, I got a bad bitch with motherfucking a business. A big ass, a beautiful face, smart as fuck. What the fuck is you saying? She's mine. And I want the world to fucking know. Yeah.
Lex P
That's amazing. I love that.
BB Judy
I do too.
Hans Charles
Cause I feel like in the moment, like I remember when it was happening and it was like, like I said mixed things that people were saying. They're like, oh, I thought we already knew that. I'm like, no.
BB Judy
Cause I be on the blogs, baby.
Hans Charles
I know the tea.
The BRAT
Yeah.
Hans Charles
I said, she has never said that what her sexuality was. But I think it's such a good thing that you did come out and how, like. Cause I do think this. I think people overly sexualize same sex couples. I do. So I love the fact that y' all show so much of yalls relationship as far as the business, the family, because again, I think they always do that to same sex couples. And I think it's a little awkward. Like when I see people interviewing same sex couples, they be like, oh, they wanna talk about them in the bedroom. I'm like, y' all would never do that to a man and a woman. Y' all would never ask them what they do in the bedroom and things like that. So I think the line gets really, really weird and gray. That area gets gray. But I think how y' all show yalls relationship is very inspiring to all types of couples. Y' all can be couple goals for anybody, like. Cause I'm saying having a business with somebody, a family, you know, it's inspiring. It's beautiful to see.
Lex P
It is.
Hans Charles
Yeah.
Lex P
And I just saw another interview that y' all did and I loved with TS Madison, Shout out to ts Medicine girl.
Hans Charles
Girl.
Lex P
But yes. And I saw that she was asking you like, do you put labels on yourself? And you was like, no, I don't like when people try to put me in a Box because at the end of the day, I'm still a woman. I still like to be sexy. I like my bra and my panties to match. And I. And I love that because I feel like people probably do automatically always try to put you in a category and call you a stud.
The BRAT
Yeah. Yeah. I feel like I've never, first of all never understood the labels. Like I guess cuz they came after. Yeah. Like so I'm just like, what is all these things? There's so many lab. I don't know you a he, a they, a they, a she, they them. It gets real.
BB Judy
It's a lie.
The BRAT
Like I get confused. Is it a pronoun? Is it an adjective? Like I don't fucking know what it is. But I just, I'm just me.
Hans Charles
Yeah.
The BRAT
You know what I'm saying? I'm me. I don't feel like I'm a stud. I feel like I'm a tomboy, you know, I like some boy clothes, I like some girl clothes, you know what I'm saying? Like I love nails, I need my nails to be fresh, you know what I'm saying? I love makeup, I love to be beat, bitch.
BB Judy
You know what I'm saying?
The BRAT
I don't wear thongs, but I like bikini panties. I like the bras to match, you know what I'm saying? I keep my toes done. I like to be well manicured. And that's just who I am. Some girls that are studs don't. Or some girls that are tomboys don't. They don't want nothing to do with makeup and nails and that's them. They gonna be them and I'm gonna be me. And I just don't. I've never done labels.
Hans Charles
I mean, you've always been feminine to me. Like I said every time. Like when we would watch Dish Nation, you always, makeup done, hair done, everything is very much.
The BRAT
But my style is, I'm just comfortable. I've been dressing like this since the motherfucking 90s and I ain't gonna let nobody people be like, she need to change her style. No, bitch, I'm not changing. This is how I'm comfortable, you know what I'm saying? I might put on a men's suit on your ass, but I've seen a bunch of women wear men suit. They do and they do and it's cute. Like I said. So I really don't give a what nobody says as long as I'm comfortable. Most likely I'm not putting on no heels unless it's Halloween and I'm dressing as Sher Shepherd. I'm dressing as my wife in one of her wigs or something like that. But other than that, this is me. I'm comfortable in my own skin and who I am. And I'm black, and I'm proud and gay as in love with my beautiful wife.
Lex P
Yeah. I just think all of that shit is just annoying anyways, because I just. It's not fair that people put labels on public figures in the first place. Yeah, but you don't owe them an explanation.
The BRAT
I don't.
Hans Charles
There's a lot of pressure, too. Like, you know, and it's hard because, like, you don't want to offend people. But it's like, I don't think anybody sane is deliberately doing things to offend people or make somebody or exclude. I'm just being myself.
The BRAT
Right.
Hans Charles
And we're all learning to be better every day. Life is already hard enough as it is. And now you're trying to put a label on me that I never said I was. No offense to the people who do label themselves that way, but that's not me. You know what I mean? Right. So we gonna go ahead and get into topic two, y'.
BB Judy
All.
Hans Charles
We moving along, y'. All.
The BRAT
I am topic two, y'. All.
BB Judy
We ain't done yet.
The BRAT
Dam.
Hans Charles
We ain't done yet. Okay, we gonna have a questionable lyric break.
Lex P
Gonna play a little game with y'.
Hans Charles
All. Yes. All right. What we got, Dre?
Lex P
Okay, so some of the most iconic rap songs have had some of the weirdest and most controversial lyrics. So we gonna read some of them to y' all and just see what y' all think they mean, these lyrics. Okay, so first we have Webby.
Hans Charles
Bad classic record, by the way.
Lex P
Classic record. He said the girl be cooking and cleaning and cleaning and cleaning.
The BRAT
Cooking.
Lex P
She be constantly dishing and cleaning her. Why was she constantly dishing and cleaning her? What was the reason?
The BRAT
And let me say.
BB Judy
Fresh.
The BRAT
Him.
Lex P
I feel like something was wrong. Constantly means all the time.
BB Judy
So. Okay, so y' all crazy. So if we try to analyze it right? But no, cuz. No, I can't say that same.
Lex P
You can say, cuz we probably will.
BB Judy
Do we feel like health care is different in different communities?
The BRAT
Ooh. Yes.
BB Judy
So then maybe the healthcare wasn't there in the community that he was dating in. Okay, so maybe.
The BRAT
Maybe her pussy stanked.
Lex P
Yeah.
BB Judy
I'm saying that she might not have had the best kind of medical service to go to her gynecologist to figure out what was going on.
Hans Charles
What was going on?
The BRAT
So she had to keep douching. Mm.
Hans Charles
Every day, constantly.
Lex P
Constantly.
Hans Charles
I've seen this trend, y', all, I'm not lying, where like girls are like going to the bathroom and showing their panties. Like, oh, it's real clean. Like they're taking off their panties and they're showing that their panties are clean.
Lex P
Where are you seeing these?
Hans Charles
On Twitter. It gets real nasty in the streets. Just so they can.
BB Judy
I don't. You know a lot of. Are people still on that platform?
Hans Charles
Yes, they are.
The BRAT
That's not even what they call it.
Hans Charles
No more on X. X. But I say that because I feel like that is such a male centered thing to do. Like, look, my panties clean. I dish all the. First of all, you're not even supposed to dish. You know what I'm saying?
BB Judy
Right?
Hans Charles
Cause I mean, it's like a self cleaning oven, if you will. You know, it does what it's supposed to do. So I feel like, you know, it was cute for the song, but you know, in the club. Ladies, raise your hand if your pussy don't stink. Shut up, girl. We need to let go of all that. Cause half the time it's them balls that stink, huh?
The BRAT
Yeah, it's them balls that need. They need something.
Hans Charles
Some ball wash, you know what I'm saying? Duck butter, duck. The duck butter be under there and it be thick as hell.
BB Judy
You see, when you say that, that makes me think that maybe she was constantly dishing because he gave her something.
Hans Charles
Come on, break it down.
BB Judy
Maybe the itch came from him.
The BRAT
It came from him.
Hans Charles
What's up now let us know something.
Lex P
And to be fair, back in them days, like when that song came out, dishing was like a popular way for vaginal cleaning, you know, Like I say this all the time. Growing up, my aunts and stuff used to tell you you were supposed to.
Hans Charles
Do this after with a little vinegar.
The BRAT
Yeah, yeah.
Lex P
Lord, have that other thing they used to have.
The BRAT
The bag thing? Yeah, little bag thing.
BB Judy
What is it?
Lex P
The little red bag your grandma had.
The BRAT
What, long white or something? I never seen that. No, your grandmama have it hanging over the shower. It's a red bag and it's got a long cord and they put. Put water in it and they clean their self out, put vinegar and water in it and they used to be.
Lex P
Using them nor forms and stuff. They used to be.
The BRAT
Wow.
Hans Charles
Times is crazy. Ladies. Leave that coochie alone.
BB Judy
Okay.
Hans Charles
All right, let's see what we got.
BB Judy
Oh, did we say we was going.
Hans Charles
To do this one? No. Yeah, we going to skip that One. Okay, so. So next we have Biggie, me and my bitch. You look so good, huh? I suck on your daddy dick.
The BRAT
Ooh.
Hans Charles
If a nigga ever came up to me, I think that you just wanna suck some dick. You just need an excuse.
The BRAT
Cause that is some craz.
BB Judy
That's crazy to say. That was her friend.
Hans Charles
Okay, let me tread lightly then. Why did your friend say that?
The BRAT
I really don't know. I just think he was a genius with the lyrics. I don't know why he said that. And it was not a problem back then, but because the way the world is now, now that's like an issue. But if it wasn't made a big deal of when it was out and he was alive, then it shouldn't be made a big deal of now.
Hans Charles
So how did people feel back then when it came out like Nickels was in the club rapping that?
The BRAT
Yeah, it didn't matter, it was Biggie. Yeah, he was phenomenal and the world loved him. And didn't nobody say shit about it then they were singing it.
BB Judy
Yeah, I know that I suck at D better dick. If I see my in the club.
The BRAT
Scene, I'm like, okay, yeah, get into it.
Lex P
I feel like the climate has definitely changed. Like it's so many things that were just not a big deal back in the day that now everybody be wanting to make a huge thing. And I think it's a lot of homophobia going on these days.
BB Judy
Everybody also.
Lex P
Oh, you say cuz they gay. Sure.
The BRAT
Most of the people that have homophobia are just like real gay against gay, baby. They in the closet, they trapped in the closet.
Lex P
They are trapped.
Hans Charles
Come on out, come tell us about it.
The BRAT
Woo.
Hans Charles
And let me ask you this just out of curiosity. How do you feel about, obviously this is your friend. How do you feel about like the documentaries that are coming out right now and him being involved, like, and you seeing the way people are talking. How does that make you feel knowing that you knew him in real life? Yeah, who? Biggie.
The BRAT
Like what documentary?
Hans Charles
You know, like the Dee Dee documentary.
Lex P
Documentary, Didi documentaries.
Hans Charles
They were saying like things that happened with his funeral and you know how.
The BRAT
He was making money off of it. No, I'm not privy to knowing like the real information or whatever that is. So you know, I know that documentary was, you know, not because they were fans of Diddy's, like brought out all the bad things. So I really don't know all the information to comment on.
Hans Charles
Okay, yeah, that's fair, that's fair.
The BRAT
You know, I just know Biggie and I love Biggie. He was an amazing person. He was like a big teddy bear. I don't know Diddy like that. I met Diddy a few times. Never went to the parties or know none of that. So, you know, I did a song with Total. I did songs with Biggie. You know what I'm saying? But, you know, I just know I love Biggie. Cause he was an amazing person and a great friend. And he was an amazing lyricist. I had never seen nobody not write with a pen, write their lyrics. He would sit there and memorize it and write it in his head and then go in the booth and record it. And that was the first time I had ever seen that. Cause I'm sitting there writing my lyrics. We did a song called the B side. I'm writing my lyrics. I'm like, I'm about to be done. He was like, oh, I'm done already. I'm like, no, you're not. You ain't even write shit down. He got up and went in the booth and he was done and he spit it off the top of his head. I don't know how he did that. Cause he smoked a whole lot of weed and his memory should have been fucked up. But he was a genius.
Hans Charles
That's amazing. I love hearing stories like that. Because they don't make artists like that no more.
The BRAT
No.
Hans Charles
They get in the studio like.
The BRAT
Like, touch your toes, bitch. Yeah. And then it's a punch. You do two lines. You stop, you punch in. Yeah, punch in. Do two lines. Punch in. Yeah. Nah, we ain't.
BB Judy
But that's what the audience wants now, though. Yeah, they do.
Lex P
They be like in Popcorn Road.
Hans Charles
I do like to hear. I like to hear some. Like I said, the Kendrick album. Like, that's the stuff we need. We want to hear people.
Lex P
We need lyrics.
Hans Charles
Yeah. Like, I want to dance still.
BB Judy
Because that's what Biggie.
Hans Charles
He had the tunes that would just make us, you know, Unh.
The BRAT
It was.
Lex P
But there was still so much lyrics.
BB Judy
Yeah.
Lex P
The same time. And I just feel like a lot of music is missing that these days.
Hans Charles
So.
Lex P
Speaking of you, the BR ain't got time to waste. I'm individually wrapped like a fresh Twinkie so if I cream in the middle, nigga Licky, licky, licky, licky now you wrote that down.
The BRAT
I think that's.
Hans Charles
You wrote it.
The BRAT
Yeah.
Hans Charles
You wrote that down.
BB Judy
Tell us about it.
The BRAT
I think that's self explanatory. I mean, I taste good as. And when I get wet get the lick in this pussy. I know that's right.
BB Judy
Do you ever, like, look at some of the songs?
Hans Charles
Cause I know, like, we talk about this all the time. Cause obviously we're not artists, but sometimes I'll look back on, like, maybe pictures I posted, and I'm like, oh, my God, why did I do that? You ever look back on lyrics like, oh, my God, why did I say that?
BB Judy
Never.
Lex P
You don't have not one.
Hans Charles
No, no, that's right. She said I'm stand beside.
The BRAT
Yeah. I wouldn't change nothing that I ever did in my life. Cause it's gotten me to where I am now. It's kind of like the movie Back to the Future. You change one thing, you might not be where you at now. So I don't regret anything. You know what I'm saying? I'm just grateful for all the blessings and all the experiences I had in life, and that's what got me here. Where I'm at today. I love it. Whether it's prison, whether it's hitting somebody in the head with a bottle, whether.
Lex P
It'S they probably deserve, whether it's so.
The BRAT
Many different things that I've been through, you know what I'm saying? It's a lesson to be learned in all of it. And I think I learned a lot of lessons. And I'm wiser and I'm who I am. Like, I'm here now. Some people ain't here no more.
Hans Charles
Exactly.
The BRAT
We're blessed to still be here being seen and not viewed.
Hans Charles
Yes.
Lex P
Amen.
Hans Charles
Yes. I love that. And you know what? I love the way Tyrese screamed his name at the beginning of your song.
The BRAT
Tyrese, he was letting it be known.
Hans Charles
He was in the motherfucking building, you.
BB Judy
Know what I'm saying? He had to let him know I'm here, babe. And real quick, I do want to.
Hans Charles
Ask you this, because I feel like the women in rap right now have. Have taken over. I feel like the girls are just doing a big one. How do you feel about the state of rap right now with women?
The BRAT
I love it. I love the fact that women are doing they thing. It's about damn time. I think it's enough room for everybody. Like, it's enough money to be made for everybody. And I just commend everybody for doing they thing. No matter how the fuck you rap, how the fuck you look, I support all the women doing they thing 100%.
Hans Charles
Love it. Who's your fave right now?
The BRAT
Oh, my God. I don't know if I have a favorite. I love Cardi B. I love me, Meg the stallion. I wish people wouldn't beef. I love lotto. I wish the women wouldn't beef, though. I love, you know, Missy Elliott. I love Lil Kim. I love. I love everybody. For real. Like, I'm. I'm a unity type chick when it comes to female rappers. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? And I just wish we wouldn't beef because it's a. You know what I'm saying? It's. It's enough to go around for everybody.
Hans Charles
Agreed.
The BRAT
I agree. And I know beef is part of hip hop and all of that, but I just wish the wouldn't do it.
Hans Charles
Yeah. Because I feel like girls, they make it real nasty and catty.
Lex P
They do get bad.
The BRAT
It gets real.
Lex P
Back in the day, more women got along, and they used to collaborate more. Like ladies.
The BRAT
That's what I was gonna say.
Lex P
Had a 20, 26 version of Ladies night.
The BRAT
These bitches don't want to get together.
BB Judy
Come on, y' all got to do it.
The BRAT
That was my song. They don't want to get together. They want to charge 100,000 to do a verse. And, you know, I tried.
Hans Charles
Oh, damn.
The BRAT
I'll do it. I ain't even beg no bitch.
Lex P
Where's the camaraderie?
The BRAT
Yeah.
Hans Charles
Damn, that was such a good video. It was like I just seeing Mary was in the back.
The BRAT
Yes. Having the fight. Rest in peace to l. Left eye.
Hans Charles
Oh, my God, What a time. Y. I love it. Okay, so now it's time to get.
Lex P
Into the be bow. The be a bow the be bow.
The BRAT
Bow bow bow bow.
Hans Charles
Are you ready to get into the bed? Okay.
Lex P
Well, y' all know the bed is sponsored by Soxo. This is our favorite brand. Y' all know we always raving about this coochie wash. Mm. It's gonna get the job done. Okay. Your coochie gon smell and taste like it ate a peppermint.
Hans Charles
You know what I'm saying? And I like my Slippery Elm gets the job done. Okay, so the bad topic is, you know, we have a sex topic every week that we like to discuss. Okay. And we wanted to talk about. Does body count matter in a lesbian relationship? Like, is that something that y' all be, like, discussing? Like. Oh. Because I feel like I don't think men do it, like, now, but in my college days, I feel like that was, like, a thing. How many people have you slept with? And when I think about that now, that is such a weird question to ask. So is that something that happens in, you know, in the world of dating women?
The BRAT
When do you start Counting though your own bodies, do you count?
Hans Charles
I used to keep a count. It started getting too high, but I.
Lex P
Deleted it just in case.
The BRAT
Nobody checked my phone unless.
Hans Charles
Right.
BB Judy
I had a list too.
The BRAT
You got a list? What?
BB Judy
Yeah, but I was young at the time.
The BRAT
You had a list?
BB Judy
Yeah. It wasn't long, but you. It was like, okay, I wrote the person. And it's not like you was trying to add to it. It was just like. It's like a secret sacred thing. But then it just was like, this shit don't matter.
Lex P
I was that way too.
BB Judy
And then even visiting the list again, I was like, ew.
Hans Charles
Some of them, I looked, I said, who now who is this?
The BRAT
I don't remember that.
Hans Charles
That's not ringing.
The BRAT
Bit a.
Hans Charles
You know what I mean? But like I said, being older now, if I was dating, I would never. I would think that was such a weird question to ask. But I think men, no shade are really, like, slow when it comes to that. Cause they be like, oh, that thing stretched out. She done. It's a hot dog in a hallway. They love saying things like that. Is that like a conversation that women have in dating? Like, ever?
BB Judy
Not us.
The BRAT
Yeah, I ain't never had that conversation.
BB Judy
Yeah, not us. And I don't give a fuck who.
The BRAT
You used to date, long as they don't try to come back. Yeah, I don't. I don't care. Cause everybody got a pass.
BB Judy
Yeah.
The BRAT
You know, we all are grown ups now. And we. We did what we did and we are who we are because of the mistakes we did and didn't make.
BB Judy
And.
The BRAT
And. And it is what it is. Like, I ain't gonna be like, oh, you slept with 50, 11 people. I don't want you no more. No. Like, whatever she did in the past or I did in the past, I like, we love each other now and we here for each other now and support each other now. So I don't think. I don't think that should matter.
BB Judy
You know what's crazy? We've never even had this conversation.
The BRAT
Never.
Hans Charles
Really?
The BRAT
Never.
Lex P
Oh, wow.
BB Judy
Never. But see, I can't lie. In the beginning, I was like, I wonder if she gonna ask me all of these random ass questions that people be asking. Never did.
Lex P
Never did.
Hans Charles
But would you feel like both? Cause both being that y' all like, both in the industry, would you feel like, oh, I know Brad used to talk to this girl and I used to date her. Would y' all feel like you would have to tell your partners you dated somebody that they knew? Like, did y' all ever date somebody that like y' all was cool with?
BB Judy
Well, so we've had pillow talk. Pillow talk. There might be conversation. But it's not like, you know, it's.
The BRAT
Not like who did you date back in the day? Yeah, did you date somebody in the industry? Like she would tell me about people that made have flirted with her or whatever and it's like, okay, like.
Hans Charles
But it's so crazy. Cause men especially in the industry are like that. Who? Man, let me know. Cause I don't want to be in n faces knowing that you.
Lex P
Yeah, they are.
Hans Charles
Now I will say to this day, they may not do body count, but they want to know if they're in the industry. They want to know every industry man you have ever even texted.
The BRAT
I wouldn't even tell them. I wouldn't even tell their exubie what this.
Hans Charles
Yeah, they are very much like that you wasn't around.
The BRAT
And think I said crazy part is.
BB Judy
Half of them probably didn't been with every damn body.
The BRAT
Exactly. Probably.
BB Judy
How the is it fair that if it's 30 people, you didn't hit all 30, but you don't want me to have talked to one.
Hans Charles
It's unrealistic for real standard. It's a huge double standard. Yeah, it's very strange.
Lex P
But I don't know. Circling back to the topic, I definitely when I was younger, because I used to date girls when I was younger and I definitely used to feel like the girls I slept with didn't count.
The BRAT
Count. You don't count.
BB Judy
I ain't going to lie.
The BRAT
When you dating a.
BB Judy
They don't care if it's a woman.
The BRAT
They don't.
BB Judy
They, they don't count it. No, when you date, they didn't. They didn't care. Like the women, it was just like, oh, whatever.
Lex P
Yeah.
The BRAT
Some that take you, that will take your.
BB Judy
Some even let you date the woman on the side if it didn't complicate it. That's true.
The BRAT
It's like they cuz they had going on on the side.
BB Judy
Yeah.
Hans Charles
But I think sometimes I think it's.
Lex P
Like bit a little, little sick little fantasy that they have too.
Hans Charles
See, I be feeling like men let their woman that they're dating talk to other women because they be hoping like he can come along one day and y' all gonna include him on it. It's not like, oh, be free. Because as soon as she say I want some another dick.
The BRAT
Right.
Hans Charles
He gonna.
BB Judy
I didn't say that.
The BRAT
I didn't say that.
Hans Charles
You know what I'm saying?
BB Judy
So they like to let that line.
The BRAT
Be very, very gray. Yeah.
Lex P
I also think women, we're just way less judgmental about those type of things than men are.
The BRAT
Yeah.
Hans Charles
So why don't you count women as a body? I don't know.
Lex P
I guess I just didn't feel like it was the same thing, so I didn't count it, y'.
Hans Charles
All.
BB Judy
You don't count women as a body?
The BRAT
Well, I'm saying if you.
BB Judy
You date men now. Yeah, that don't count again, back then, it don't count against men.
The BRAT
I need to start dating women. If in the other section, how that don't count, though. I don't get how that don't count.
BB Judy
I don't know.
The BRAT
I was young, I think. And is it cuz of the penetration part?
Lex P
That's what it was for me. I was like, okay, like, I'm not being penetrated. So maybe you don't, but you still coming. That's true.
BB Judy
But I don't know.
Lex P
I didn't used to look at it like that. I really didn't. I used to be like.
BB Judy
I had a feel you on that. I don't know why.
Lex P
You know, they say your body part, your body count start over every year anyway.
Hans Charles
Like the tax on the 1st.
The BRAT
I like that.
BB Judy
Every year.
Hans Charles
Every year. Now we talking.
The BRAT
Okay, every year.
Lex P
Nobodies.
Hans Charles
Yes. What we got next, Drea?
Lex P
Okay, now it's time to get into the bop.
The BRAT
Ooh, the bop.
BB Judy
Bow.
Hans Charles
The bop.
The BRAT
Bow, Bow, bow, bow, bow, bow, bow.
Hans Charles
We almost done. You like, wrap this shit up, bitches.
The BRAT
Wrap it up.
Hans Charles
Okay, so bop of the week is whatever music that we've been listening to. It could be new, old, whatever you've been, you know, listening when you jamming, working out, whatever. Okay. So y' all know I'm a R and B, girly. I love when I discover new artists. This is an artist. His name is Oso, and he has a song called all about yout. Are y' all R and B people?
The BRAT
Mm. Mm.
Hans Charles
This is like the kind of song you can like. This would be a perfect song for y'. All. Cause it's like, all about you. I'm in love. This is my man. My man. My woman. My woman.
The BRAT
Whatever.
Hans Charles
It's that kind of song. Like on a Sunday when you cleaning up the house and you just wanna listen to and vibe and. And y' all are in yalls beautiful home with your big shiny diamonds. I see it's getting chilly in there. You know what I'm saying? So this is just like a cute love song, you know? Love is in the air. We love February, March. It's like Love is in the air. So also all about yout. That's my bop of the week. What y' all been listening to? Ooh. It don't have to be new.
Lex P
Yeah, it don't have to be new.
BB Judy
Honestly, it's a lot of kitty songs.
Lex P
Okay.
BB Judy
So we listen to super simple song Leapfrog right now. He gets super excited about. About this song, so it's something that we have on repeat in the house.
Lumumba
Okay.
The BRAT
Yeah. We all fall down. Yeah.
BB Judy
She excited because now he does the action. So.
Hans Charles
I get it, though, because the hot dog from the Mickey Mouse Club. Hot dog. Hot dog.
BB Judy
Hot diggity dog.
Hans Charles
Oh, Lord. With my nephews, I said enough is enough. Turn on some goddamn.
The BRAT
And Ms. Rachel. Ms. Rachel.
BB Judy
Yeah.
Lex P
Oh, yeah.
Hans Charles
Does he like Gracie's Corner?
The BRAT
Yeah.
Hans Charles
Okay.
BB Judy
Okay. All right, then.
Hans Charles
Gracie be having them hits, too. And blue.
The BRAT
You know what?
BB Judy
Gracie be having a bop.
The BRAT
She do. Gracie be having to bop. You be wanting to play it in your. Yes, especially that. What sound does that letter make? What sound does that letter make? That is funny.
BB Judy
Okay.
Hans Charles
I could deal with Lil Gracie's Corner. I could do that.
The BRAT
Yeah. Mm.
BB Judy
Draya.
Lex P
I haven't really been listening to anything new these days.
Hans Charles
Must.
Lex P
Days.
BB Judy
New.
Lex P
Not. Not like the. For the past week or two, because I feel like. No. At least not for me.
The BRAT
No good.
Lex P
New music has really been coming out, but Ladies night was a vibe, so that's gonna be my vibe today.
The BRAT
Okay.
Lex P
Because that was a good song. And I forgot about that song until we was just talking about it.
The BRAT
Yeah.
Lex P
Shout out to Angie.
Hans Charles
That was when, like, videos were, like, a big thing on, like, mtv. And be. When that song would come on, you would hear that dice shaking.
BB Judy
Time to run to the. That was the.
Hans Charles
I mean, it was such a fun video. Did y' all have fun?
The BRAT
We did. Shooting that. Yes, we did. Never forget it. We had a great time.
BB Judy
I love that.
Hans Charles
I remember. I just like, oh, my God, I want to be there Saturday.
The BRAT
Everybody was there. Everybody.
Lex P
It was. Everybody was in that video, y'.
The BRAT
All.
Hans Charles
I love me some Missy Elliott, too.
The BRAT
Yeah.
Hans Charles
A legend. All right, we gonna get into our favorite segment. It's the last one, girl. It's the last one. We here now. Y' all give good advice. I know y' all do give good.
BB Judy
Yes, this is the advice. Okay.
Hans Charles
So this is a pour your heart out segment. You know, if you want your question answered on the show, make sure you email us@askpoormindsmail.com all right. Here we go. Hey, Lex. Andrea. I really love this show, and I just wanted to. I wanted to ask you guys what you guys think about relationships at 18 and being apart at college. I'm not worried about any cheating, but sometimes I want to talk every day, but it just seems like he has so much going on to where he doesn't always take initiative to communicate as much as I feel like he should, because to me, it doesn't take long to send a small text. Granted, I do text first sometimes, but the other times, I don't on purpose to see if he's gonna say anything. I do give grace, and I don't want to put a lot of pressure on him, so I'll fall back at times, but I don't know what to do. Overall, he is a sweet person and does express his love for me, but I'm not entirely sure if that's enough. Also, we've been with each other for 10 months now, and he's never given me flowers, and I don't like that. Is this a get time thing because we're young or something else?
BB Judy
Girl, girl, good.
The BRAT
He in college and he's going Buck Wilder, that motherfucker.
Hans Charles
Yeah.
BB Judy
I don't know.
Lex P
I feel like college relationships, especially when y' all don't go to the same school, it's a little difficult. I cheated on my college. We was dating.
Hans Charles
I was just giving it.
Lex P
I went to college, and he was still in Houston, and I definitely cheated on him, and then we broke up shortly after because, I mean, it's just difficult when you're not in the same city anymore and you in school day, night. So y' all are just living a lot of completely different lives.
The BRAT
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
BB Judy
And then they so young, man. That's what I was. But I know at that age, we didn't want to hear that. Yeah, we didn't, you know, but it's. And, yeah, girl, he doing his thing.
Hans Charles
Yeah. And I think you should do your thing. Yeah, right. I feel like most of the years where you really discover what you like as a woman, what you want to do with your career, like, there's so many things that you need to be focused on outside of a relationship. Because I feel like when I was in college, I feel like society told us, okay, college is where you find your husband and you settle down. By the time you graduate, y' all supposed to get married and have kids, and it's just like, no, right. I don't want to focus on how to be a wife. I want to learn things and, you know, be a boss and figure out what I want to do with my life. And later on, you're not going to even be attracted to the same type of person that you are at 1828.
The BRAT
That's true.
Hans Charles
You know it's true. So, girl, don't stress yourself out. Enjoy college.
BB Judy
Agree.
Hans Charles
Cuz once you get out, gets real.
The BRAT
Yeah. Hello. She gets too real.
BB Judy
Ch.
Lex P
These the good, good years.
BB Judy
Real responsibility.
Hans Charles
None.
The BRAT
Right.
Hans Charles
All right, y' all bottled up. If you have something on your chest, send us a 30-62-oddle voicemail and we might play it on the show. Go ahead, Morgan.
BB Judy
I'm starting to think that the women.
Hans Charles
Are the problem and it's not the men.
Lex P
We see all these podcasts, all these relationship advice, all this.
BB Judy
But I am at the point where.
Lex P
I believe that men are just simply hurt because men are. Men do not let. Let go of like we do. We're hopeless romantics. Men are not. Right. So I think all these men that are up out here and hurting women, they're just doing it out of hurt. And we need to have a real come to Jesus and on these podcasts, stop bashing each other, but just come to a consensus that we both need grace. We both need space to heal and to deal and to really, like, shake back and love each other. Because it's just a battle of the black family. And we already got enough against us, including Trump in Venezuela. All the. Hey, miss.
Hans Charles
But as for me, I got somewhere. No, I, I do agree with that, but I do think that's an excuse that hurt people. Hurt people. No, you go work on yourself before you out here terrorizing. So I do think that people deserve grace. But I'm not giving you grace if you going around terrorizing women just because somebody didn't want to give you their crayons in kindergarten. Go heal and go to Thomas Therapy.
The BRAT
Right.
Hans Charles
You know what I'm saying?
BB Judy
So why is it all out? Why is it always our responsibility?
Hans Charles
You know what I'm saying?
BB Judy
Why is it always back on the women that we gotta. We have to just shut up.
Hans Charles
We always got to get people.
Lex P
We always have to be understanding.
The BRAT
Yeah.
Hans Charles
No, cuz I do think when women, when we're hurt, we don't take it out on the world. We don't do that. We deal with it internally and we figure it out. We lean on our girlfriends, we lean on our family.
BB Judy
But we taught to carry that at a very early age. Like we're taught to carry. Carry.
Hans Charles
Yeah.
Lex P
So we supposed to be healers.
Hans Charles
Yeah. No, I'm not healing. No. Especially no grown ass nigga.
BB Judy
I agree.
The BRAT
I agree.
Hans Charles

BB Judy

The BRAT
It's like, why you not about to make this money? So, right.

I get my thoughts together for the very next day? But when I see you? I forget what to say? Such a beautiful tone? The way you dress and walk? It really turns me on?
Hans Charles
You really turn me on? Come and talk to me? I really wanna meet you?
Lex P
Can I talk to you? I really wanna know you?
Hans Charles
