
Medicus Pharma Chief Medical Officer Dr Faisal Mehmud joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company's receipt of Investigational New Drug (IND) authorization from the United Arab Emirates Department of Health – Abu Dhabi for its PRECISION-E2 Phase 2a clinical trial evaluating Teverelix® in women with moderate-to-severe symptomatic endometriosis. Mehmud said the authorization follows the Department of Health's comprehensive review of the company's chemistry, manufacturing and controls (CMC), non-clinical, clinical, and safety data, resulting in approval for the study to proceed, subject to final site-specific Institutional Review Board and ethics approvals. The PRECISION-E2 trial is a prospective, randomized, placebo-controlled Phase 2a study that will enroll approximately 84 women across multiple investigational sites in the UAE.
