
NanoViricides CEO Dr Anil Diwan joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce that the company has filed an application for Rare Pediatric Disease Drug Designation with the U.S. FDA’s Office of Orphan Products Development for NV-387 as a treatment for measles. The RPDD application is expected to be combined with the company’s previously submitted Orphan Drug Designation application for NV-387, filed in February 2026, as part of a broader regulatory strategy to advance the drug candidate. If granted, the designation would make NanoViricides eligible for a Priority Review Voucher upon approval of NV-387.
