
Recce Pharmaceuticals Ltd CEO James Graham talked with Proactive about the company’s strengthened intellectual property position in Southeast Asia following the grant of a Vietnamese patent covering its RECCE® 327 and RECCE® 529 synthetic anti-infective candidates. The Family 4 patent, granted by the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam, provides protection until 2041 and represents the eighth patent secured by Recce Pharmaceuticals within this patent family. Graham explained that the patent covers the preparation and manufacture of the company’s compounds, as well as the use of R327 and R529 in the treatment of bacterial, viral and other infectious diseases. Discussing the significance of the award, Graham said the patent was “very significant because it takes our market monopolies out to 2041”.
