These are the clans of the Levites according to their fathers of Gershom, Libni his son Jahath his son Zimmah his son Joah his son Ido his son Zerah his son Jeathari his son the sons of Kohath, Amminadab his son Korah his son Asir his son Elkanah his son Abiasaph, his son Asir, his son Tehath his son Uriel his son Uzziah his son and Shael his son the sons of Elkanah, A Maesai and Ahimath Elkanah his son Zophaiah his son Nahath his son Eliab his son Jeroham his son Elkanah his son the sons of Samuel, Joel his firstborn the second Abijah the sons of Merari, Mahli, Libni his son Shimei his son Uzzah, his son Shimea, his son Haggaiah his son and Isaiah his son. These are the men whom David put in charge of the service of song in the house of the Lord after the Ark rested there they ministered with song before the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting until Solomon built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, and they performed their service according to their order. On the left hand were their brothers, the sons of Merari, Ethan the son of Kishi, son of Abdi, son of Malak, son of Hashabiah, son of Amaziah, son of Hilkiah, son of Amce, son of Boni, son of Shamir, son of Mahli, son of Mushi, son of Merari, son of Levi and their brothers. The Levites were appointed for all the service of the tabernacle of the house of God. But Aaron and his brothers made offerings on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense for all the work of the most holy place and to make atonement for Israel according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded. These are the sons of Aaron, Eleazar his son Phinehas his son Abishua his son Buchi his son Uzi his son Zerahiah his son Moraith his son Amariah his son Ahitu his son Zadok his son Ahimaaz his son. These are their dwelling places, according to their settlements within their borders, to the sons of Aaron of the clans of the Gohothites, for theirs was the first lot to them they gave Hebron in the land of Judah and its surrounding pasture lands but the fields of the city and its villages they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge Hebron, Libnah with its pastures Jatir, Eshtemoah with its pasture lands Hylon with its pasture lands Debir with its pasture lands Ashan with its pasture lands and Beth Shemesh with its pasture lands and from the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon, Gibeah with its pasturelands, Alemoth with its pasturelands and Anathoth with its pasture lands. All their cities throughout their clans were 13 to the rest of the Kohathites were given by Lot out of the clan of the tribe, out of the half tribe, the half of Manasseh, 10 cities to the Gershomites according to their clans were allotted 13 cities out of the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali and Manasseh and Bashan to the Merarites, according to their Clans were allotted 12 cities out of the tribes of Reuben, Gad and Zebulun. So the people of Israel gave the Levites the cities with their pasture lands they gave by lot out of the tribes of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin, these cities that are mentioned by name and some of the clans of the sons of Kohath had cities of their territory. Out of the tribe of Ephraim they were given the cities of Refuge. Shechem with its pasturelands in the hill country of Ephraim, Gezer with its pasture lands Yakbeam with its pasture lands Beth Horon with its pasture lands Ayalan with its pasture lands Gathremon with its pasturelands and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, Aner with its pasturelands and Baalaim with its pasturelands for the rest of the clans of the Kohathites to the Gershonites were given out of the clan of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan and Bashan with its pasturelands and Ashtaroth with its pasture lands and out of the tribe of Issachar, Kadesh with its pasture lands, Daburath with its pasturelands, Ramoth with its pasturelands, Anim with its pasturelands. Out of the tribe of Asher, Mashaal with its pasturelands, Abdon with its pasture lands, Hukak with its pasture lands and Rahab with its pasture lands and out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kadesh in Galilee with its pasture lands, Hamon with its pasture lands and Kiriath Taiman with its pasturelands to the rest of the Merarites were allotted out of the tribe of Zebulun, Riminah with its pasturelands, Tabor with its pasturelands and and beyond the Jordan at Jericho, on the east side of the Jordan, out of the tribe of Reuben Bezier in the wilderness with its pasturelands Jaza with its pasture lands Kadimoth with its pasture lands and Maphaoth with its pasture lands and out of the tribe of Gad Ramoth and Gilead with its pasture lands Mahanaim with its pasture lands Heshban with its pasture lands and Jasir with its pasture lands. Romans chapter 11, verses 33, 36 oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God. How unsearchable are his judgments, and how inscrutable his ways. For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor, or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid? For from him and through him, and to him are all things to him be glory forever. Amen. Romans chapter 12, verses 1 through 21 A living sacrifice I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Gifts of Grace for by the grace given to me, I say to everyone among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function. So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another, having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them. If prophecy in proportion to our faith, if service in our serving the one who teaches in his teaching, the one who exhorts in his exhortation, the one who contributes in generosity, the one who leads with zeal, the one who does acts of mercy with cheerfulness. Marks of the true Christian. Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil, hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection, outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal be fervent in spirit. Serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer, contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you. Bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all, if possible, so far as it depends on you. Live peaceably with all, beloved. Never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, vengeance is mine, I will repay. Says the Lord to the contrary. If your enemy is hungry, feed him if he is thirsty, give him something to drink, for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Psalm chapter 119, verses 1 through 8. Your word is a lamp to my feet. Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong but walk in his ways. You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently. All that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes. Then I shall not be put to shame having my eyes fixed on all your commandments. I will praise you with an upright heart when I learn your righteous rules. I will keep your statutes. Do not utterly forsake me.
