The Importance Of Hearing Pt. 2 | Pastor Craig Fi…

You remember that statement? I'll give a five minute summary of last Sunday for those that weren't here or didn't hear what I was sharing. Dead Hagin said the most important thing you can do is teach people how to be led by the Spirit. What does that mean? If you're led by the Spirit, it means you're hearing God. So I quoted you First Kings, chapter three. Actually, I'm going to read it to you First Kings, chapter three and verse nine. And I'm going to read that from the Amplified Bible very quickly here. First Kings chapter 3 and verse 9. And the Bible says, so give your servant. He's praying. Solomon is praying. God says, what do you want from me? I'll give you anything you ask for. So give to your servant an understanding mind and a hearing heart to judge your people that I may discern between good and bad. And who is able to judge and rule this? You're great people. And so he asked for a hearing heart. And he was called the wisest man that ever lived. He asked for wisdom. What is wisdom? The word wisdom in the Hebrew language means to hear. So we were saying last week that wisdom is a two sided coin. On one side of the coin we need wisdom, which is to hear. But on the other side of the coin, what are we hearing? We are hearing the wisdom of God. So there's man's wisdom. When I say man's, I don't mean carnal, ungodly wisdom. I mean there's wisdom on our side and there's wisdom on his side. Our wisdom is to hear. His wisdom is to speak what, his thoughts, his mind, his plan. That plan, thoughts and mind is called the wisdom of God. Now we saw this and we know that Proverbs 4, 7 says wisdom is the principal thing. So in all you're getting, make sure you hear really what he's saying is being led by the Spirit, hearing God for yourself is the greatest thing that you can ever have. And in everything else that you're getting, hear God. It's more important than getting money because hearing God will give you money. Going after money won't necessarily give you joy, won't necessarily put you in the right place at the right time. But going after God will accomplish all of that and more. So hearing or being led by the Spirit, wisdom, which means to hear is, is the principal thing. That's what we're after now. Pastor Nancy, a quote from her. I don't have to figure it out. I just have to hear what's in the mind of God. Hear. Wisdom. Mind of God. Wisdom. You following? I just have to hear what's in the mind of God, which is the wisdom of God. I don't have to try to form something in my mind. I just have to turn to my spirit instead of my mind and hear. This is the. I'm giving you the creme de la creme, the top of the pyramid. The most important thing in life, serious, other than being born again and filled with the Holy Ghost, is for you to hear. Hearing is more important than getting married. Because if you can hear, you'll get married to the right person. Hearing is more important than what church you go to, because if you can hear, you'll go to the right church. A lot of people go to the wrong church. That's why they die young, because they don't get taught. A lot of people marry the wrong person. That's why they're miserable for the rest of their life. Hearing is key. It's everything. It's simple. What I'm saying is simple. But a lot of people aren't doing the simple. You got to hear. You got to hear. Being around Brother Randy, his anointing. God's wisdom for his life is a plane. But being around that, listening to that, and not keeping my heart closed to the plans of others, I should only be open to the plan of God for me. But sometimes you can get an appetite for what other people have, and then you think you've heard, but you haven't heard, and then it bites you. Do you understand? And that bit me because I listened to what other people were doing and inspired to do and excited to do, and I thought that must be for me. But it wasn't me hearing God. It was me getting an appetite for and things coming into me because other people are hearing God for them. That's why it's very important. When you're talking to other people and they're telling you about their business and they're telling you about this and they're telling you about that. Rejoice with them. Be happy. Encourage them. But don't let things get inside you. Don't let them. Because you can get an appetite. Because they're succeeding and they're being blessed by God. But that may not be what God wants you to do. Can I say something, Pastor? Not Pastor. Brother Jerry Savelle. The last time I saw him, on the 19th. Sorry, not the 19th. 20. 19. So last time I saw him before COVID then we obviously saw him afterward. But on that. On that meeting that we had at our Church in the fall of 19. He said to me. It was early November, I remember. And he said something to me that he had never said before. And he said, craig, he said, every minister, God has graces for them to prosper them financially outside the ministry. Outside the ministry. God never intended your full supply to come through the ministry. He has many sources to bless you, which is why when you do get blessed and God blesses, you, always tell people that I have more sources outside the ministry than I do from the ministry. Otherwise, people think you took their money and did stuff that you shouldn't have done. And he told me, but you've got to find. Listen to this. It's very powerful. He said, you've got to find the graces on your life. Then he told me the graces on his life, which was real estate, and he made millions through real estate. And then he told me the graces on Brother Copeland's life. And then he told me some graces on Jesse's life. Jesse's graces are antiques, and he's made millions by buying and selling antiques. Nothing to do with the ministry. Side businesses. Dr. Dufresne had six side businesses that God prospered him through. So he said, craig, you've got to learn the graces on your life. He said, don't try to imitate me, because you may not be graced to do real estate, but there is a grace for income outside the ministry. The only problem is some ministers start to turn their attention too much outside the ministry, and then it can hurt your calling and it can offend the Holy Ghost. So he said, you got to keep it in check, and you got to go with the leading of the Spirit because. Because he'll tell you when you're doing too much. But there are graces. I thought that was very. So nobody ever told me that before. I mean, Dr. Dufresne had alluded to it, but not in a bold, direct statement like that to me as an individual. And so I said, well, what do I do, Brother Jerry? And he goes, pray. Pray in the Holy Ghost. And hear. Are you listening to me? Everything is about hearing. He didn't say, try to go and buy and sell real estate. He said, hear. So I spent five months praying in the Holy Ghost aggressively and said, lord, I have a right to hear your word tells me that you want to give me the desires of my heart. The prophet of God has just told me this. This was a word to me from that prophet, which is from you. Now I'm doing what he said. Speak to me. And after five months, he spoke to me and he said, this is the business that I'm giving you, and you are graced for this business. He said, don't try to do what other people do. You do this. I've graced you for this. And I started working. I've been doing that business for five years. At times, I lose more than I make, because with business, and I'm not a businessman, I've not gone to business school. So every decision I make, I have to listen to my spirit. And sometimes the pressure gets greater than me listening to my spirit, or sometimes the great opportunity is more tantalizing than listening to my spirit. And so I've made more mistakes than I've not made mistakes. I. But praise God, I'm not in the hole, but I'm not rich, but I'm learning. I'm learning to be led by the spirit in the extra that he graced me for. But it's a secondary grace. It's actually not even secondary. It's far down the line compared to the importance of the ministry, and I don't give that much attention to it. But I'm just saying to you, a lot of people say, I want more. Well, I. In the offering, I want God to give me more desires. Well, there's graces on you. You just don't know the graces yet because you haven't heard. Pastor Nancy. This doesn't just work for preachers. Jerry told me from a preacher perspective, but Pastor Nancy told me that she told her whole staff, she's got 40 staff members, and she told all of them, it is not my job to be the only person to fund you. Yes, yes, amen. She said, every one of you, God will grace you for side businesses if you'll open your heart to it. And now almost, not all, but a lot of her staff, they've told me, because I've talked with them personally, have side businesses because they needed, first of all, permission from her and they needed instruction from God. Because you can't just go start a business. You'll fail. You've got to hear. And all of them, well, not all of them, but the ones that have, the businesses have been praying. They heard, they stepped out by faith. They started. God started to bless them. And it didn't hinder or take anything away from their commitment to World Harvest Church or defrain Ministries. And now some of them, not many, but some of them, have told me they make almost as much in their side business as they do their salary and all of them are saying to me, oh, don't worry, the day will come. I'll be making far more than I make in my salary. Now most of my time is to Pastor Nancy because that's where God planted me. That's my job. But with just a little bit of work and the anointing, I just make money hand over fist. It wasn't a get rich quick scheme. It wasn't multi level marketing nonsense, and I emphasize the word nonsense. It wasn't going to the olg. Is that what it's called? Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. It wasn't pulling down that handle. It wasn't going to the track to watch the dogs or the horses. There's a lot of ways that you can try to get rich quick. None of those are God authored anything to do with gambling. God didn't author it. But there are graces. If you will just pray and say, father, teach me why. These are laymen. These aren't ministers and Pastor Nancy staff. These are regular congregation members. These, they happen to work for her, but they're regular congregation members and they needed permission and they needed instruction. Well, I've been given permission and I've been given instruction. It's not going to hurt me any. Why don't I just spend time praying? Don't matter if it takes six months, don't matter if it takes a year, just start to pray. Father, tell me what graces are on my life in areas that you've ordained before the foundation of the world to give me income outside my job. Show me how to do it, tell me what to do. And I'm not in any rush because I didn't even know about this and I didn't even know you wanted this for me, but now I do. So I'm just going to spend time praying. What's it going to hurt you to pray? What happens if in six months he drops something inside you and then he guides you how to walk it out and then before you know it, you're making an extra hundred dollars a month and you're not despising the day of small beginnings and complaining because your friend makes $1,000 a month and you just say, lord, praise God, I'm going to tithe on that. I'm going to give on that. And I'm just going to keep working that idea. I'm just going to keep working that idea. I'm going to release my faith. I'm going to let the spirit of God guide me because you said you'll make me rich if I Learn to follow your spirit. And if I'm not covetous, I don't know. That was not in my notes. I had no plan on saying that. But I think that was something somebody needed to hear. God has many ways to bless you. Many ways to bless you. Your job is only one stream of income. It is not your limitation. I've got a fixed income. Doctor would say, who fixed it? You fixed it with your stupid head. Trust God, because he's limitless my income, my source is God. He has tributaries, but the source is God. The source is not promise of life. The source is not that business. The source is not me preaching outside. The source is God. And God chooses what he does. And God is so magnificent. There are so many tributaries that come out of him. And most of us are just focused on one tributary. And he's trying to say to you, I've got graces for others. But because you haven't heard. See, a lot of people start businesses and fail them because they never heard. And if they did hear, they did it outside the timing. Because you've got to hear. But you got to know when and you got to know how. But all of that will come by hearing, right? So the most important thing in our life is to hear. Amen. We need to hear on every aspect of life. What are we hearing? The wisdom of God. I won't read it for sake of time, but First Corinthians, chapter 2, it says that it was the wisdom of God hidden in a mystery before the foundation of the world. What was the wisdom of God hidden in the mystery? What does the word wisdom there mean? It means the plan of God, the mind of God. What was hidden? That Jesus was going to come live, die, and in his death destroy death. But this wisdom was hidden, this plan was hidden so that not even the devil could figure it out. And if he had known what God was up to, he would have made sure Jesus never died. He would have made sure that they all crowned him king of Israel, which wasn't the plan of God. It was not to crown him king of the natural nation, Israel. It was to crown him king of all kings and Lord of all lords of all the universe. But see, the devil didn't know the plan, Dan, or the wisdom of God. Otherwise he wouldn't have proceeded in that way. So we see, wisdom is us hearing, but wisdom is God's mind. It's God's plan. I read you First Corinthians, chapter two, those verses. And it says, the Holy Spirit is searching out the deep Things of God, which means he knows the mind of God, which means he knows the wisdom of God. And it says, and God, eyes not seen, ears not heard, neither is entered in the heart of man the things that God has prepared for them that love him. But it is revealed unto us by the Spirit. For we have not been given the Spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we would freely know the things given to us of God. The Holy Ghost knows the wisdom of God. He knows the plan. And he is inside of you, and he wants to show you the wisdom or the plan of God. He wants you to hear. How do you hear which things? We also speak not with man's wisdom, natural wisdom, but which the Holy Ghost teaches. Now, that could be prophesying in English, because that comes by the Holy Ghost, but it also primarily is speaking in other tongues. If I will speak in other tongues. The mysteries, First Corinthians 14:2 talks about the mysteries, and verse four talks about speaking unto God, edifying yourself, and praying out things you don't know. Well, when you don't know, what do you do? You pray in tongues. You don't whine. You don't worry. You pray in tongues. Because the Holy Spirit, who knows the plan of God inside your spirit, already knows what you need. And if you just pray, he can now get over to you so that you can hear. Because everything is about hearing. Are you listening to me? Any mistake I've ever made is just simply, I didn't hear. And I'm a pretty transparent person. A lot of people tell me, pastor, we really appreciate the fact that you tell us what a loser you are. I mean, one person said that to me, and I kind of took a step back. I said what? I said I was a loser. Well, you tell us so many mistakes you make, we've lost count. We can't even count the mistakes you make. Well, I'm not trying to. Maybe I shouldn't tell you as much. I don't know. I'm not trying to be a loser or look like a loser or sound like a loser. I'm just trying to say, because the Bible says that as a pastor, more than the other four offices, all of them, but especially the pastor, that our life is to be watched, our life, our marriage, everything is to be observed. And if you see that we have a good end result, in other words, there's not a critical judgment, but there's a judging of fruit. If you see that things are working, then the Bible tells you to imitate me and Follow me as I follow Christ, but I got to stay with Christ, the Word. I can't get away from the Word. Don't follow me if I get away from the word. So what's up with these churches? I'm hearing them almost every month now, sometimes every week. The pastor. What is wrong with pastors? What's wrong? Can't they keep their zip? There's zipper done up. You have no idea how many pastors now are being caught sleeping with their secretaries, sleeping with people in the youth group, sleeping with this, sleeping with that, sleeping with everything that moves. It's disgusting, it's filthy. What I don't understand is that when they're caught or they caught stealing money, the people don't leave the church. The people stay there. Now, I'm not saying don't give the guy a break. Be merciful, whatever, whatever. But if right correction is made, humility is shown, repentance is shown, and a spiritual father governs through that, including him stepping out for at least a year and then being restored because the Bible tells us to restore in the spirit of meekness. But what is happening is nobody has a spiritual father anymore. So they're sleeping around with everything that walks. They get caught. The there's no judgment, there's no spiritual father to bring correction. And they just stand up and say, I'm not going anywhere. And everybody stays. You know why? Because they preach a real good false doctrine sermon on, well, it's the love of God and it's the greasy grace. And they don't call it greasy, but it is greasy. And they'll say, you know, I really can't do anything wrong because Jesus paid for everything and he did. But you're misquoting the scripture. And Paul said, God forbid you use grace as a license to sin. And that's what so many preachers are doing. And people are just sitting there and they're so ignorant of what the Bible says. And it's so about culture. It's about culture. It could be about church culture, it could be about the skin color culture. And they'll just go through a cesspool in the church instead of clean, righteous living because they don't hear. There's no hearing. There's no hearing. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm not saying that I'm not party, that I can't fail. The Bible says, take heed unless you judge somebody else, that you keep your own Dr. Dufresne paraphrase. Keep your own backyard clean. I'm not trying to Judge other people. But I am saying that where is the standard of righteousness? None of us are perfect. None of us are perfect. But I'm telling you, there needs to be at least a standard in the church of Jesus Christ. There needs to be pastors that set an example. That's why I love being around my company. I love being around Pastor Nancy because they are clean. They're not perfect, but they are clean. They are clean. You think I wouldn't like to come here with broad shorts and my sandals? I look pretty darn good in broad shorts, I'll tell you that right now. And I just bought a new pair of shorts that's nice and short. I call them my short shorts. Don't have that image conjured right now. It's not that short. It just is just above the knee. But Jenny buys me shorts that go down to mid shin. And I said, what am I? What am I? This is ridiculous. I don't want shorts that go down. They look like long pants that are overhand, like Noah pants, you know, he's preparing for the rain, for the floods. I said, don't give me shorts that go down to my shins. I want it just a little above the knee, but I don't want them all the way up here like the tennis pros of the 70s. That ain't right either. I'm sure that's demonic. I don't know what that is, but it's not right. Why am I talking about this? I don't know what. I was going somewhere. I was going somewhere. Where was I going? Sure, sir, they don't know what. What does shorts have to do with being clean? Right. I would show up in my shorts just above the knee, Greg, not the ones you wear that are way up here just above the knee. I would love to come in my sandals and my Hawaiian shirt and my shorts just above the knee shorts. And a lot of pastors do that. Why you say, well, you're toe starchy. You're starchy, Pastor Craig, you're stubborn, you're old fashioned. But why do I take the time and the money to go and buy suits and ties and try to make myself look professional? I tell you, it's only one reason. It's not because God cares that much about the clothing, because that is based on culture. But our culture dictates this. But brother David Hogan, he goes with but he wears his best jeans, he wears his best shirt. He wears his best belt buckle. I don't wear a belt buckle. But he does because he's in a cowboy area of Mexico. It don't matter the type of clothing. What matters is that it's your best. That's what God is after. He said, give me first, put me first. Give me your best. And Dr. Dufresne told me, he said, craig, if you get casual in your clothing, it is the first step to getting casual with the opposite sex, getting casual with the finances, getting casual with the anointing, getting casual with your calling. Dr. Dufresne put that into me real strong. He said, I don't care what they. If they make fun of you, if they mock you, whether your own people like it or don't like it, whether your people follow your lead or don't follow your lead, whether all the other pastors turn against you. He said, I expect you to wear a tie until the Rapture. And I said, I will, sir, because it's not about the tie, it's about on. It's bringing God my best. Now, when I'm in a hot country, we don't wear ties. Well, it's 145 degrees and we could do the eggs on the sidewalk and the. Half the people in the church don't even have shirts on. I mean, the men don't worry. I mean, the men, it's so hot. So I go with a very light shirt. I never have shorts, but I go with a very light shirt. But because I bring my best based on the climate and based on the culture, if I was in Mexico, I wouldn't wear a tie. But in our culture, in this country, in this society, in this place, if you want to wear your best to a job interview, you better go with a tie. Because some of those people still expect that old school way. And I'm not old school. I'm honor school. You don't have to wear a tie coming here. What is your best? I'm not judging anybody. I don't personally care. Judge, just bring your best. Bring your best. Whatever your best is, bring your best. And there's a whole group of people that are turning against the dress code. And I notice when I go on the plane, if that pilot is wearing a pair of shorts, I'm not feeling very safe. Because if you're going to be having fun and games with your dress when you're in there with my life in your hands, I like the fact that they've got a uniform. I like the fact that. Not that I'm ever pulled over anymore because I'm an obedient citizen now, but I like the fact years ago when I used to get pulled over that at least the guy giving me a ticket had a uniform on. You don't go to war as a soldier in your underwear. You go with a uniform on. Anytime there is order in society. There's a uniform, there's a dress code. There's not casualness. Even the sinner gets it. Do you ever see the president? He's always in his best. And I am flying this plane called Promise of Life. I think it's appropriate that you know that I take the job seriously. I don't get casual in my mind or in my emotions. And more than any of that, I just want Jesus to know he's got my best, whatever that is. And don't feel bad if you don't wear a tie. I really don't care. And don't judge other people if they don't wear a tie. Don't go up to them and say, I don't know what you're doing. Don't you know, Pastor? No, Just. Is it their best? Because not every person their best in their mind. Is that. Do you understand? Just do your best. Let's not judge other people. Let's just do our best. Well, I'm getting off again. Hidden wisdom. Now, look at this with me. Ephesians, chapter 1:17. I guess there's no real urgency to rush, right? I mean, I don't know. Apparently you said you might come back, so we know Craig's not sure, but. And Blair is definitely not coming back because everybody hates him this morning. But good one, brother Blair. I love it. Thank you for that. Send me more. Send me more. You can live vicariously through me. Okay. Verse 17, Ephesians 1. That the God of our Father, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give, underline the word, give unto you the spirit of wisdom. And really, we could say the spirit of revelation in the knowledge of him. Now notice that the Holy Ghost gives wisdom. If it's the spirit of wisdom, that wisdom comes from the Spirit. If it's revelation, that revelation comes from the Spirit. What is the Spirit of God doing? This is appalling prayer. You're supposed to pray over yourself every day. What the Holy Spirit is saying is, I'm trying to reveal to you, give you, reveal to you wisdom. What is the wisdom? First Corinthians, chapter 2. The wisdom is the mind of God. And he says, pray over yourself that the Spirit of God would give me the spirit of wisdom and the revelation of that wisdom in the knowledge of Jesus. Notice it didn't say that you can earn this. He has to give it. What is the wisdom? It's you hearing the mind of God. But you notice you can't earn the plan of God, the mind of God, the wisdom of God, it has to be given to you. So you don't pray to earn something. You pray to position yourself for something. I don't earn it. Jesus paid for it. But I'm positioning myself for that thing now. The more I pray in the Holy Ghost, the more the Holy Ghost, who is the Spirit of God, can give and reveal to me the wisdom of God. The more I pray, the more he'll give me. Not earning, give me. I pray to position, not to earn. If you don't think right about prayer, it's going to become a bondage to you. Then you're going to be now trying to give God your resume of prayer. You pray to position, you don't pray to earn. It's already given freely. But you remember, First Corinthians 2 says, if you. It's given freely to us, so you're not earning it. But the less you pray, the less you're going to position yourself to hear. Everything is about hearing. But I'm just reminding you, he wants to give it to you. Hallelujah. He wants you to hear my brother and sister. He wants you to hear praise God. Now, there is a divine order. I may not get through this today, but we can pick it up another time. But I just. I want you to. I want you to talk. I want to talk to you about this divine order. Because Pastor Nancy spent time ministering along this. She spent time ministering in 28 services, a lot of different things. I'm not really talking about everything she preached on, because I can't do that. A lot of what she preached was really good. I think you would enjoy hearing it. But my job is to tell you what I hear, the Holy Ghost, what I hear, what I hear. The Spirit of God said, talk on that. But one area she did focus on on one of the services quite heavily was this verse that I'm about to read you. And I heard him say, talk to them about that. It's really this whole thing, the importance of hearing. But I'm going to put my own words. Some of what she said, I'll quote. But most of us, I'm putting in my own way, okay? Because she says it in her way, I can't be her. Okay? I know you want me to be her, but I can't be her. I got to Be me. Because she's so masterful. I'm not really masterful like her, but I'm trying my best to explain it to you. But she talked about what I'm calling the Divine order of God. And she read the scripture and I want you to look at it with me. I'm going to read it to you. It's in Hebrews 4 and verse 3. And she said this scripture single handedly got her through all of the financial crisis. When Dr. Died, she owed $6 million in debt. There was a bunch of different things with the bank. They almost lost their church building. Except that she heard. Then there was this problem and that problem and this problem and that problem. Except she heard. But she said to the pastors in the Switzerland conference, she said this verse of Scripture more than any other verse of scripture, single handedly, single handedly got her through that tremendous test and trial financially. So I would like to read it to you if that's okay. It's Hebrews 4, verse 3 and I'm going to read it from the Amplified because it's a lot easier to understand in the Amplified than the King James. For we who have believed, adhere to, trusted and relied on God, do enter that rest in accordance with his declaration that those who did not believe should not enter. And when he said, I swore in my wrath, they shall not enter my rest. Now watch it. That's fine. That first part is fine. But that's not the real revelation. Although it's part of the revelation, but that's not the main focus here. So basically I'm repeating. He said, we who believe enter rest. But the ones in the Israelites, they didn't believe and they didn't enter into rest. And he said, I swear in my wrath you'll not enter into rest. Now watch the next phrase. It is potent that they did not believe, should not enter rest. When he said, watch now as I swore in my wrath they shall not enter my rest. And this he said that they won't enter the rest. This he said, although his works had been completed and prepared and waiting for all who would believe from the foundation of the world. That phrase, that phrase. And this he said, don't focus on the fact that they didn't enter into rest. Don't even focus on rest because that's a side issue. It's very important. But that's not what I'm focusing on right now. So just forget all the stuff about rest, focus on this phrase. And this he said, although his works had been completed and prepared and waiting Completed, prepared, and waiting for all who would believe. If you've got faith, he's already completed, prepared, and things are waiting. And he did it before he even built the Earth. Now, you can't fathom that because that's billions of years. Listen, I'm not going to get into it, but if you want to learn something, come to my Bible school course at Origins, because this earth is not 6,000 years old, okay? Don't be stupid. This Earth is billions and billions of years old. And science has proved that. Science and church does not go. They don't go against each other, not in terms of that stuff. But we got so many young Earth theorists that are telling tell us that the earth is 6,000 years old because Adam was 6,000 years ago. This planet, this physical planet has been here for eons. Do you understand? And I proved that from Scripture in my origins course, okay? There's no other way to look at it if you're logical and if you're scriptural. So my point is. But when it says before the foundation of the world, he's not talking about 6,000 years ago. He's talking about before he built the Earth. And we don't know how long. It's certainly millions. This Earth is ancient and the Bible tells us the Earth is ancient, okay? And the Bible tells us stuff that was going on the Earth long before Adam was ever made, okay? And Lucifer was a king on this Earth long before Adam was ever created. This physical planet has been here for ages. Now, I'm saying that to say this, think about that. God is saying, if you believe, before I even made the Earth, I already completed and prepared. And these works for your life are waiting for you. They've been waiting for millions and millions of years for you to finally be born and then be born again and then find a church to teach you something. And then right here today, on the 13th of April, for you to hear that God has already prepared and completed works millions of years ago. And they are waiting for, for anyone who will mix faith. So God gave Pastor Nancy a revelation, a true revelation, when she was under crushing financial pressure. Her husband's gone. That's hard enough. Now the ministry is in jeopardy. Her house is in jeopardy. Everything's in jeopardy. And God spoke to her through this verse and said, I've already done it a long time ago. I already completed and prepared exactly how to get that money to you. And that money is waiting for you. All you need to do is believe. It sounds so over simple, but that's really just how simple it is. So can I tell you the example story? This is one of many but I'll just give you one that she said. This is what she said. She said, the bank called. I won't give you all the details but the bank called and they said we need to know tomorrow where 300,000 is coming from. So doctor had a mortgage on the building and the company. The bank changed their policies that they can no longer give mortgages to charities because charities are too high risk. So they came to Dr. And they said we can't, you got to find somebody else to take your mortgage. We can't do it anymore. Our policy board of directors has changed the way the bank works. So we're going to give you a year and a half and if you will guarantee because we can keep you on our books that you'll get rid of your mortgage, find somebody else or pay it off or do whatever you want to do. But you got 18 months. If you'll do that, we'll lower your interest rate right now for the next 18 months. So he said, sure, that's a good deal. I'll take the break in interest. 18 months a long time. I can find somebody to give me the church a mortgage. What doctor didn't know is, is that he had started a building project and the building project is not finished. They were building the Hagin building where we eat dinners now when we're there. And that was not done. And every bank he called, they said we'd be happy to give you a mortgage. We help churches but we can't give you the mortgage because our policy states we can't give a mortgage when there's an uncompleted building on the property. You have to finish that building and then we'll give you the mortgage. So the building was costing 300,000 and he couldn't get the 300,000 and he couldn't find a bank that was willing to finance him. So now the day he dies, and now the days are passing and now the bank 18 months has come due and the bank calls passed. I'm so sorry that your husband died, but that's. We got business to take care of. He told us that with the lower interest he guaranteed us 18 months you'd be off our books. And you're not off our books and the 18 months is coming due. And you know, listen, there was a clause in the contract they could take the entire property and own it if they defaulted. So now the 20 million dollar property the bank can take, you understand how serious that is that means the whole ministry is devastated. And so they said, we want to know where that $300,000. She said, well, we're having a hard time getting another bank because nobody will give us the new mortgage if the building's not done. And they said, that's not our problem. So we're not financing you anymore. But you've got to get that building done before another bank will finance you. So you've got to tell us where you're getting the money from so that another bank can take over this note. And we want to know by tomorrow. Are you listening? The entire ministry is in jeopardy. They bank and take everything. And she don't have the 300,000. What do you do? It's not 30,000. It's not 3,000. It's 300,000. She doesn't have it. She's got to know in less than 24 hours. So you know what she did? Oh, Jesus. See, this is where revelation will save your life. Let me tell you exactly what she said. She said, well, Father, she said, you've already completed this. It's prepared and waiting for me. If I would believe, I believe, but I have to hear exactly what I'm supposed to do. So you've done your side long ago. Now the ball is in my court. I've got to hear and release my faith in what I hear. Then it goes back. It's like tennis. Then it goes back to your side of the court. You fix it, but I have to hear. So you know what she said? She said, I lay down on my bed for 10 minutes. I'm not saying it'll always take 10 minutes, but God knew it was a 24 hour deadline. He's not going to take 36 hours if he knows it's 24 hours. She said, I lay down for 10 minutes and I just said, father, my job is to hear, not to worry. And she said, I started to pray in another language of the Holy Ghost, because that is the door by which he can help me to hear. And she was expecting probably to pray longer. But in 10 minutes, just 10 minutes, lying on her bed, praying in tongues about a major problem, major situation, she said, up. Like a little bubble out of my spirit, I could feel it bubbling up. And by the time it got to my mind, an idea came to me. And the idea was she had to put words on it. It wasn't God speaking, but you have to put words to articulate it. The idea was, go back to the bank and tell them that the $300,000 that they have holding, which Pastor Nancy didn't. I don't think she even remembered this. They are holding $300,000 of life insurance for your husband, and that's your money because he died. She didn't think of that. Remember that? Know that? I don't know what she was thinking. That wasn't even in her mind. They are holding $300,000. That's your money because of his death, because they hold the life insurance policy. So you go tell them, give me the 300. That's mine. I'll finish the building. We'll find another thing, another bank to take us, and we'll get off your books. 10 minutes, got the answer. 10 minutes, got the answer. Pause. So we're there in our house, and Jenny says, craig, I hear the Holy Ghost, it's time to buy. I said, I don't hear the Holy Ghost. And it's not time to buy. I like to rent. She goes, no, it's time to buy. I said, woman, I said, it's expensive to buy. I don't have the money to buy. We don't have the money to buy. I heard God say buy. I said, well, maybe God needs to talk to me. She goes, he won't talk to you. You don't listen to him. She said, you just trust me. I said, well, let me check my inner witness. There was a piece. I said, but, okay, Lord, let her try. She'll fail. I know how much money it takes. The minimum was 25,000 back yonder. You had to have a certain percentage. And that minimum. This is before all the stress test nonsense and everything, but just the minimum was 25,000. We don't have 2,500. We got four boys. They eat a lot. I said, I don't know. I don't know. She just said, I heard God. See here. She said, just don't get in disagreement with me. Just stay in agreement with me, even if you don't believe. I'll believe for both of us. I said, woman, don't insult me. I got faith like a grain of mustard seed. I said, I'll believe. But in my mind I'm thinking, she gonna fail. And so I let her believe. And I just went on with my life. I mean, no faith at all. I wasn't releasing anything because I. It's impossible. It's just impossible. But I heard the Holy Ghost say, do you trust your wife? I said, yeah. He said, do you trust that she heard from me? I said, I'm not sure about that. He spoke to me, See, I Had to hear. God said to me, it's time to buy. I said, she was right. He said, it's time to buy. Now pray. I'll show you where to get the money. I'm thinking we're going to get a mask on. We're going to go to the bank and we're going to make a withdrawal. No, he won't violate natural law. So I prayed. It took about a month. It wasn't 10 minutes. It took about a month. And a little thought came to me one day when I was driving. Call Customs. Why would I call Customs? I prayed a little bit more. Retirement. Call Customs Retirement. Call Customs. Retirement. So I called the lady of customs. I said, is there anything to do with retirement that is in my name that I'm not aware of? She said, I don't think so because everything is locked up till you're 65. I said, well, just check for me. She goes, I'm very busy, Mr. Field. I said, just check for me. Because I heard four times, customs, retirement. Customs retirement. See, I'm hearing not as big of a deal as Pastor Nancy, but it's still impossible for me. And the lady comes back and says, oh, Mr. Field, I don't know why I didn't see this. Yeah, we have $25,000 in an account for you that, that is just waiting for you to pick up. And the rest of it is locked up till you're 65. I almost dropped the phone. I said, what? I said, why, did anybody text me, call me, email me, you tell me when I owe taxes, but you don't tell me when there's money? She says, well, let me just double check that. So now I'm afraid, like, oh, my God, you got my hopes up. Now you're going to dash my hopes. I'm on the phone. She comes back, yep, yep, I'll have the check for you this afternoon if you'd like. So I talked to Wayne and I talked to Errol and I said, how do we know this for home? First buyer, first home buyer things or whatever, discount, I don't know. So they had to do all this paperwork, but the point is, is that they transferred that 25. It was exactly to the penny brother that I needed. And I had no idea it even existed. But. But we heard buy. I didn't even want to buy. And I wasn't releasing faith to buy until finally, because of her prayers, God spoke to me and said, it's time to buy. Pray until you hear the plan. Then he said, the plan. I got the Money, and we were able to buy our first house. I'm just saying it doesn't matter the dollar value there. God has prepared, arranged, completed ahead of time, millions of years ago, and it's waiting. And all he's waiting is for your faith to those that would believe. But in order to listen, I'm trying to help you. In order to have faith, you have to hear. Because faith comes by hearing. So it's prepared for those that would believe. But what we could say, it's prepared for those that would hear and then believe. Because you can't believe if you haven't heard. Remember I said last week, faith is not just come by the written word. It comes by the spoken word in your heart. So when God said to me, it's time to buy. There's no scripture, but it lines up with scripture, but there's no scripture for that. But faith came into me because I heard the word of the Lord come to me and say, it's time to buy. Now I have faith for that. So Pastor Nancy went to the bank and met with the people, and they said, well, how are you going to get the money? And she told them what God had said, and they said, no. So Pastor Nancy says, faith comes by hearing and hearing and hearing. They don't have enough faith yet. I'm talking about secular bankers. Let me help the banker get some faith in what I'm saying. So they have to hear it again. So she tells them the whole story. Again. They said no. So she said, well, faith comes by hearing. So she said, look at me. Turn off your brains and listen. And she explained it a third time. That is my money. And they said, no, no, we're putting that 300 against the 2 million that you owe. She said, why would you put the money against what I owe when you want me off your books, give me what is mine. I'll finish the building with it and. And then we'll get off your books. It's perfectly logical. On the third time, I don't know if an angel touched them or if they just got some logic and they said, oh, we never thought of that. She goes, what do you mean you never thought of that? I just told you three times. Well, I don't see why that wouldn't work. They cut her a check for $300,000, and she finished the building and she got a new bank. And then a few years later, while she was with me in the green room, God spoke to her in our green room and said, pay your building off. And the next this was at the. This was the first miracle crusade. And the next week I flew out to California to celebrate with her because they paid the building cash and they don't owe a penny on it. And the plane is paid cash. She just flew the plane for the first time. She sent me pictures this morning. It is just beyond beautiful and, and she is so happy. And everything is paid debt free. And I mean, this is the paid off flow that they're in. That means this is a paid off flow that we're in. And everything came to hearing. It wasn't about the money. It's hearing. If you hear God say, give $10,000, don't worry about it. He's already prepared it millions of years ago. He's just waiting for you to hear and then believe. And he will do it through, through you, because he's already done the works. He's just using you as a vessel. I'll close with this statement. It says what he said, whatever you will bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth will be loose in heaven. Matthew 16:18. But the Greek word is a very unusual Greek word. It's got multiple tenses in that Greek word, which is very rare. It's, I think, the only time in the New Testament that it's found. The Greek literally states, whatsoever you shall bind, shall have been bound in heaven. There's two tenses in the Greek. It's future and past simultaneously. And that never happens. Whatsoever you loose, shall have been loosed on earth, loosed in heaven. What is God saying? I've already done it past. I'm trying to actually execute it and manifest it in the natural realm and perform it for you future. But you are the middle. You have to use your authority and your faith in my name and declare it. And when you say this is unlawful, I already did it and I will manifest it. And when you say this is loosed, I say this is lawful. This needs to come to pass. I've already done it. But. But now that you've said it, I can bring it to pass. You even look at it in some translations, like the Amplified Classic. Read that when you get home. It says, shall have been, shall have been. It's an imperfect dual Greek tense, very rare. Shall have been. What God is saying is, I've already done it and I want to perform it. But I'm waiting. I'm waiting. Come on, speak. What did he say? It's waiting. Prepared, completed, ahead of time, before the foundation of the world. Waiting for what? For those who would bring Their faith, those who would hear and then bring their faith by speaking. So whatever God's asked you to do, don't worry about it. Should you get a new home, just hear, don't try to keep up with the Joneses. Well, they have a home and they have a home. And I just feel like a loser because I don't have a home. That's. That's wrong thinking. Forget. Just be happy for everybody that's being blessed and just say, father, I want to hear, what is the plan for me? Do you want me to do this? Do you want me to do that? Do you want me to drive this? Do you want me to have that home? Do you want me to rent? Do you want me to buy? I don't care what anybody else is doing. What is it for me? And then if you'll pray, because he's already done it. He wants you to know the Holy Spirit said, I'll freely give you. I'll freely give you because I know the mind of God. Just pray those words by the Holy Ghost. And then a knowing comes, a hearing comes. And with that comes faith. And you say, I believe. I heard. And I've got faith in my hearing to believe now, Lord, you've already done it. I bring my faith to it. Now you perform it through me. And he'll whisper to you, call this person, or this is the strategy I have. Or sell this, or buy this, or invest this, or go talk to that person. He knows a thousand ways how to get it to you. You don't know any way how to get it to you. Why don't you quit worrying and just say, let me hear. Her stories are more dramatic and spectacular than mine, but to me, 25,000 was just as big as 300,000. If you don't got it, you don't got it. It doesn't matter. It could be 3 million. It wouldn'. If you don't got it, you don't got it. So I'll close. This is my final closing. I'll close with this statement. While I was in Europe, the Lord spoke to me in one of the services and he said, do you remember what Dr. Dufresne said? Because you don't talk about it enough, because there's so many things to talk about. But some of the important things you've got to keep on the forefront. And I'm not. I haven't been. I repent to the congregation. I repent to God. The Lord said, do you remember what Dr. Dufresne told you in that service? First time he was with you, when he had the vision, I said, you mean about the building? He goes, yeah, I mean about the building. Why don't you ever tell the people that? Dr. Dufresne said, and he prophesied, fill up this church, and when you fill this place up, God will give you another building. But the condition was, fill up this church. So last year, when she came for the crusade, she said, how much is a full church? And I said, well, 500. She said, well, we'll be the judge of that. So they came and they fit 670 people in here. But we were sardines, and I don't like sardines. So I said, lord, I have to hear what is your opinion of full pastors is 670 minus 400? Because that's how many chairs we bought originally. What's your opinion? And God spoke to me. I heard he said, five. He said, bye. Said, now what's the first thing I do? I do a corresponding action to show God I believe him. The same week I called Errol and I said, Order 100 more chairs. Not that we have 100 people, but I've got to show God that I'm making a place for people to come. 500 now, later than that, Sandra, you remember the Lord said to me in this next season, 500. But I was forgetting that that's now two words. Because the one word at the conference, God said to me, my aversion of IS500. But other than that, he had said, believe me for 500. So it's two different words, same number. That's why that word has been confirmed now. So the Lord said to me, when I was in Nice, France, in the conference, he said to me, why don't you talk about that? If you don't talk about it, it won't come to pass. So I'm talking about it. I'm telling you, when we get 500 people as regular attenders of this church, I don't mean 500, 400, and then 100 church tramps. Because God said, if you're jumping, hopping, hopping, hopping like a kangaroo, you're a church tramp. I'm talking 500 committed, faithful, regularly attending members. When we get that, the Lord said to me, don't talk to me about your building until you obey what the prophet said. When you get the 500 people, I'll then tell you what to do in the building. That's easy. So what am I doing? I've heard faith has come in the hearing. Now I'm releasing My faith. Because he's already prepared, Sandra. He's prepared and arranged and is waiting the extra people. Millions of years ago. He's just waiting for my faith. I've heard and I have faith. Have faith with me. And now let's believe for 500 people because he has to do it now. He may prompt you to witness, or he may prompt you to pray, or he may prompt you to do whatever, or he might just send angels out and let them come. Without evangelism, I don't give a rip. All I have to do is hear and bring my faith to that hearing and bring my words to that hearing. And he said, don't talk to me about your building. When you hit the 500 mark of faithful regular attenders, then I will reveal to you the new building. And Joanne Weisbrod, our precious sister, who is such an encouragement to me. She's been praying for the Glory center and she did a mock up. It was so precious. She took time. She found pictures. She found images of what the sanctuary could look like based on what Randy Greer saw when he stepped over into the realm of the spirit and he was standing in our future building. And he described it and she found pictures to make that for me and a whole booklet of the Glory center, what it could look like. The different part, I mean, I was so touched by that because it helped my faith to see it. And so I've been saying, now, Lord, we're believing. You're going to talk about the Glory center when we obey you at 140 Capitol Court. And you said 500 people. So there's no point thinking about that. I mean, we can dream, we can hope, we can pray, we can do all that, but we got to focus on this right now. So believe with me. Put your faith with me. Because I would like to get out of Capitol Court. I would like to move into a nice, bigger building with nice taller ceilings and a place for Greg to really dance unhindered. You know, Greg is hindered here. You can't, really can't cut loose. We want. We want to have. We want to be a voice in the city of righteousness and of power and of the miracles of God and the fire of God. And Randy at the Chop House was looking out the window and his eyes got weird. Not weird. I don't know. It's like he. I can't explain it. When a prophet is seeing a vision, they look different. And I looked at him and I said, jenny, he's having a vision. And he said, I see it. I see it. He's looking out the window, but he's looking into the realm of spirits. And he said, I see the glory cloud. And Randy is not a flake. He doesn't talk about things like this unless it's real. Some people, they see the glory cloud while they're eating Cheetos. He's not like that. And he said, I see the glory cloud. I see the glory cloud. And it is descending. It is descending. Oh, what is that? I see? That is your building. I see the glory cloud descending upon your building. And yes, it shall be known, and it shall be called the Glory Center. For my glory shall be seen. Signs and wonders shall be seen, and people from all over this area will come. See, that's the ants coming that Dr. Dufresne prophesied because it will be called the Glory Center. And then the vision ended, and he's back sitting in the thing, eating a soup. We know the name. It'd still be considered promise of life in small words, but it will be called the Glory Center. But we got to get 500 people, faithful people, before God will talk to us about the Glory Center. So if you want to move on with me, start releasing your faith, start believing God. I didn't say you have to evangelize, but if he prompts you, obey that. Just let's believe God for the 500 people. And 500 is peanuts. It's not hard. We're almost there. We're over four. We were 465 before COVID We had 35 more measly people. And then Covid hit, and some people decided that the masks were more important than Jesus. But we went down to about four. Now we're about 400. And I don't know what it is, 18 or something. I can't remember the exact number, but it's just over four. But he told me, don't talk to me about your building until you obey the prophet. I told you through the prophet, believe me for 500 people. So believe me for 500 people. And start telling the congregation the Glory center is on hold until we obey the first step. So would you do your part and believe with me and invite people as the Lord leads you? Heavenly Father, I thank you that you've done it, completed it, prepared it before the foundation of the world. Everything you've ever asked us to do, your word says it's his works. It's not my life and my vision and my works. It's your works through me. And you have done this millions of years ago. And it's just waiting for my hearing and for my faith so that you can do it through me. Father, you're going to do this church through us. No one's going to be able to take credit for the 500 but Jesus. Nobody's going to be able to take credit for the Glory center but Jesus. But you're looking for our faith. We bring our faith. Lord, I trust this message has been a strength and an encouragement to them. Let them meditate on it. For these principles are deep and profound, although simple. And if they will just grasp it, nothing shall be impossible to them. Because if they can just hear what God already did before the foundation of the world and then release their faith because faith comes in the hearing all of a sudden, you will do the work through us. You will figure out the hard part. Our job is just to hear and to believe. Let's keep it simple and let's not overcomplicate things. I bless them. I thank you for them. Let them have a wonderful, wonderful week.
Promise of Life Church – Pastor Craig Field | April 13, 2025
In this episode, Pastor Craig Field teaches on the vital spiritual principle of "hearing"—specifically, hearing from God and being led by the Holy Spirit. Building upon last week's message, he explores how hearing God's voice is the foundation for wisdom, success, provision, and righteous living. Through biblical analysis, personal anecdotes, and testimonies from fellow ministers, Pastor Craig emphasizes that the most important skill for any believer is learning to hear from God for themselves.

On the Church Vision
On Simplicity & Encouragement
Pastor Craig Field delivers a transparent, hope-filled teaching on the critical importance of hearing God in every area of life. He debunks the idea of formulaic success—insisting that wisdom is simply the ability to hear God and act in faith on His specific instructions. Through practical examples, biblical backing, and testimonies of miraculous provision for himself and others, the message equips listeners to recognize that God’s plan, blessing, and provision are already “completed, prepared, and waiting”—but only manifest as we hear and believe. The episode closes with renewed focus on the church’s vision, inviting listeners to join their faith for the next step, and a simple but powerful call: Stay hungry to hear, keep it simple, and let God do the heavy lifting.
For those who haven’t listened:
This episode makes clear that your greatest need is to hear God—not just generally, but for specific guidance in every area of your life. Whether you face financial needs, directional questions, or the desire for greater purpose, the message insists: “It all comes down to hearing.”
