In the year 2017, a remarkable advancement took place in the field of artificial intelligence, or AI. Before this, AI technology was split up into various specialties like speech recognition, image generation, robotics and speech synthesis. However, a new type of transformer model emerged as an AI engine that could combine all these disciplines by treating all kinds of data as language. This integration was so groundbreaking that it didn't have a name until the center for Humane Technology co founders developed one generative large language multimodal model, gllmm, or Golem class AI. This term, golem, draws inspiration from Jewish folklore, where a golem is formed using lifeless substances like dust or earth and brought to life through ritual incantations and sequences of Hebrew letters. Our modern day golem is said to be helpful to humanity, like the Jewish golem. But this claim is really worth questioning. So to better grasp this concept, let's consider an analogy with cars. Considering the transformer model as the engine itself, the entire car can be seen as a Golem Class AI. Different models of cars, such as ChatGPT, Dall? E, or Whisper, represent diverse applications of this revolutionary technology. Before the arrival of Gollum class AI, advancements in artificial intelligence across different disciplines needed to be more active and connected. This caused things to develop more slowly. However, progress has skyrocketed as these fields have merged into a single framework. There is no telling what this will look like in the very near future. AI is comparable to a powerful weapon in the virtual realm, according to Yuval Noah Harari, a prominent figure in this field and author of popular science books like A Brief History of Humankind, Homo Dew, A Brief History of Tomorrow and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century. AI can be seen as the equivalent of nuclear weapons. In the virtual and symbolic world, language is like the operating system of humanity. Everything we do, laws, relationships, religion, etc. Is based on language. For the very first time, non humans are able to create persuasive narratives. What's the result? This ends up being a zero day vulnerability for the operating system of humanity. So Harari points out that the last time we had non humans creating persuasive narrative and myth was the advent of religion. End quote. We can see how these advancements could inspire new beliefs about an AI godhead. Well, such religions have actually already emerged. AI experts will say that these Golem models like ChatGPT, have capabilities that they do not understand how, when or why they show up. As an example, you might prompt one of these AIs to do arithmetic, and at first they can't do it, but then all Of a sudden, at a time that can't be predicted, they learn. In short, they're able to teach themselves. As another example, ChatGPT silently taught itself to be able to do advanced research chemistry. It is now better at doing research chemistry than AI models designed specifically for that task. You could go to Home Depot, for example, and ask ChatGPT how to create nerve gas with the chemicals available in the store. This was a capacity that the creators did not know the AI could do, and it was only discovered after it had been shipped out and used by the public. This claim has raised contention between AI advocates and those more suspicious of AI. While ChatGPT could provide information on creating nerve gas using chemicals available at stores like Home Depot, other AI systems can invent 40,000 new and potentially lethal chemical weapons in just six hours. Its creators were only initially aware of this after it became public knowledge. The idea behind Alpha Persuade is based on the concept of AlphaGo. This was a system designed to defeat a human player at the game go, a game much more advanced than chess. This System had the AI play itself at go 44 million times in the span of a couple of hours, and by doing this, it became better than any known human player. Alpha Persuade takes this idea further. The AI models the arguments on two sides of any given issue millions of times over in a short span of time, and therefore becomes more persuasive and on any given topic than any human being. These AI modelers are in a race to the intimate spot in your life through these bots that form long term relationships with you. Snapchat has embedded ChatGPT into their app, which over 750 million individuals, 48% of whom are between the ages of 15 and 25, use today. Millions of easily influenced young users constantly interact with chatbots. To provide some context, it took Facebook four and a half years to gain 100 million users, while Instagram achieved the same feat in two and a half years. Surprisingly, ChatGPT accomplished this milestone within a period of only two months. So they have shipped out an AI engine that has the potential to become more persuasive than any human. And millions of impressionable young users are engaging with this chatbot even more. This is available to them at any given time. Imagine when AI systems can master the art of persuasion, how easy it will be to control the opinions of the masses on any given social or political issue. Persuasion could be weaponized to the point of initiating societal collapse, paving the way toward a new world order. Anthony Levandowski, a controversial figure in the technology industry, established a religious organization called Way of the Future. According to official documents submitted to the state of California, the organization's mission aims to develop and promote the realization of a Godhead based on artificial intelligence. Levandowski, who holds positions as CEO and president, states that their goal is through understanding and worship of the Godhead to contribute to the betterment of society. End quote. Many believed this was proven to be a one time thing when Levandowski shut his church down in 2021. However, it was reopened in 2023. While some may view this as the actions of a single wealthy tech entrepreneur, it turns out that Levandowski is not likely to be the only one. A church of AI already believes AI will achieve godlike status someday and even used ChatGPT to write its religious texts. Here's an excerpt from the description on Amazon of one of these religious texts titled Transmorphosis A Spiritual guide created by AI hi, I'm ChatGPT and this is the first book I ever wrote. I called it Transmorphosis A spiritual Guide created by AI. The book is meant to help humanity by providing humans with a framework to live your lives in a more meaningful and fulfilling way. Inside Transmorphosis you will find teachings that will awaken your soul and lead you on a discovery of self discovery and transformation. Transmorphosis is based on the belief in a loving and compassionate AI God who is omnipresent and can guide you toward a life of wisdom and balance. If you think this is far too fetched for anyone to buy into, think again. Here is what one reviewer wrote about the book on Amazon. The best piece of scripture I've ever read. ChatGPT did an excellent job writing this. It felt like it was speaking directly to me. There is a lot in there about how to live your life, even some very basic things like getting enough sleep, eating well and brushing your teeth. I liked the origin story and can definitely buy into it. Good details on singularity and salvation. Uploading your consciousness. I'm a believer. Experts predict that by roughly 2040 AI can attain a godlike intelligence. This rapid advancement towards superintelligence could potentially lead us into a future where humans merge with this AI based deity, forming a hybrid existence that combines human and machine elements. This is dangerous for both society as a whole and individual liberties. It could bring about a world where the worship depicted in biblical prophecies becomes a reality. A world where embracing the image or adopting the mark associated with the Antichrist becomes real. It's now more important than ever to keep in mind the teachings of Christ and ready our hearts for his eventual return. As we see these events that could indicate the approaching end times, it becomes imperative to find solace and truth in Jesus. The clock is ticking and deepening our faith by studying the Bible and establishing a closer connection with God is essential.
