Let's go ahead and just jump into your first presentation. The Rapture from Hebrew sources. We what is that going to be about?

Well, we've been looking at Dead Sea Scrolls and recently there's been a Hebrew New Testament discovered that's fairly early and we're just picking out things from that. There's a lot of interesting things about that. For instance, it talks about the church being the restrainer, things like that that we kind of guess just by looking at a regular Bible. But there's a lot of other information just on the timing, how things go together that would be really interesting to look at.

So is this something that the normal Christian would maybe not pick up just from reading through, perusing through the book of Hebrews on its own? Is this something that would come from directly from the text that would maybe not be translated correctly?

B
Yeah, it's just a difference in the languages. Like for instance, it talks about the restrainer will continue to restrain until it's taken out of the way. The way the Hebrew works. It's got to be a he, she or Annette tacked onto the verbs. So when we read this in the Hebrew, it just comes out a little clearer. We, the restrainer will continue restrain until we are taken out of the midst. So that's like a pre Trib rapture. There's a lot of other things in there too. And there's other Dead Sea Scrolls actually that say similar things. So we're going to be talking about the Rapture and then the general prophecies, how they all fit together. And we're specifically looking at 1 and 2 Thessalonians, first and second Peter and then a little bit of John. That actually gives a good prophetic understanding.

What are some of the major overlying topics? I know that you have a whole presentation on this, but some of the major takeaways that you would like for everyone to kind of glean from your presentation.

Well, the main thing is the whole idea of the appointed times of the moedim. We all know about Jesus came and fulfilled the Passover ritual on Passover. And we've always speculated that the rapture may come on a moedim on an appointed time, second coming, things like that. But in this case, the way that it's structured in the Hebrew New Testament, it actually says that. So it's just really nice to say after studying, we probably know it's going to be like this. And to find an ancient history text saying, yeah, that is exactly the way it's going to be, then you can go a little bit further, knowing for sure what's going on and piece things together easier.

So for the, maybe the Christian or the non believer, that is one of their defenses is that, you know, the Bible has been changed over time, that it's no longer completely accurate. This presentation would refute that assertion.

Yeah, yeah, there's nothing been changed. It's just a difference in the language structure. And as a matter of fact, when you go back and find a manuscript, it's second century and that it's 99% exactly the way it is in the Greek, just the difference in the languages that corroborates the whole idea that nothing has been changed. It's just that when you look at it and you miss little, little pieces of the sentence than people get, well, it could mean this, it could mean that. So there's a debate that's raised probably in the Middle Ages, but now we're able to look at that and know exactly what the text means.

That's so important, I think for everybody across the board because I hear that argument so often. That the Bible can no longer be trusted as a source because over time it's changed. Or the translation going from Hebrew to English, there's so many differences that what you're actually reading in the Bible is no longer correct or it's, it's incorrectly translated and so it can't be fully trusted. And then the, the Christian starts doubting it. And for the non believer, it just gives them more fuel to not look into the Christian faith. And I think it's just, it's a tool of the enemy to have all these doubts raised about the translation, about the, the time that it's, how old the, the manuscript is, all of these different things. When really the Lord just wants us to get into the Word and to study it and we will still be able to glean so much truth and, and wisdom from it for our lives.

Yeah, it's. Nothing has really changed. It's just you, you could say if you were making your own English translation, you would say Abraham went to Egypt, Abraham traveled to Egypt, to Egypt, Abraham traveled. You could say it 20 different ways, but the idea is still exactly the same. And the only difference is in the text you would know that Abraham is a guy, not a girl. Things like that are the only differences. But sometimes that can make a really big difference when you're like talking about who the restrainer is, he, she, it, things like that. So it's an amazing thing just with the Dead Sea Scrolls, when we look at the Old Testament, we only have about half of it because it's fragmented. But out of what we have, it is word perfect with what we've always had. So it's an amazing thing to see that the enemy is always going to say, if you didn't have any evidence, who knows if it's been tampered with. And when you have evidence, they pick out some little spelling difference like that and say, see, there are errors in it and they're always going to say stuff like that. But if you actually look at the text, it's very, very clear.

Yeah, that's so encouraging for me to hear and I know for others that are doubting, I know that that is such a beautiful confirmation for them as well. I'd love to talk about the second presentation that preparing the end times from Hebrew sources tell us about that.

Going back to the whole idea of moedim again, when you look at Peter and James and John, we're going through the general epistles really heavy now, trying to do a translation of those. But when Peter talks about the second coming of Those kind of things. It'll mention the Second Coming, It'll say the Moedim of the Second Coming. So there's like a little extra phrase in there that doesn't really change anything. But what's interesting is you go back and you see where he's talking about. They were looking at the First Coming, and they really wanted to figure out the when and the how it was all going to take place, the Moedim of that First Coming. And then he goes up and talks about when the earth is going to be destroyed by fire at the coming of our Lord. It mentions the word moedim also. So that doesn't change anything. It just lets us know that the concept of the seven festivals are prophetic. Some of them point to the first coming, some of them point to the Second Coming, some point to the Rapture, the Second Coming, the Tribulation period, whatever. So it just paints a picture that everybody understood very clearly the concept of the Passover, first fruits, Pentecost, as being prophetic pictures and things. And so when you just look at the Scriptures, you get that. But it takes some study. And in this case, you're just flat out being told about it. So it really helps define these things. It doesn't really set any dates, but it gives us a very good clue of the order of things. And it's just a fascinating thing to study.

So I'm being reminded of when you were talking about the Essenes and how they were looking for all these signs and all these events to happen. Is this connected at all to. I know they were all looking for the same things, but the moedims. I hope I'm saying that correctly. The Modems and the Essenes, is there any correlation between those two?

B
Yeah, actually it's very clearly taught in the Dead Sea Scrolls. It's just interesting to have a really early Hebrew New Testament manuscript agreeing with the whole thing. So the entire thing is taught consistently. When you look at what the Dead Sea Scrolls teach you look at the New Testament, and then when you go a little bit forward and see what the very early Church fathers taught in their sermons, and you can see a complete pattern. Everybody's teaching the same doctrine. It really makes it comforting for everybody to know that what we're thinking the text means is actually what everyone understood it to mean.

So all those prophecies that were foretold, those have all been completely fulfilled. And we have multiple sources to verify that.

Yeah, for all the First Coming prophecies, you know, and then also talk about the Second Coming prophecies, but in the Dead Sea scrolls, probably about 80% of the extra biblical type literature that's prophetic is all focused on the first coming because that's what they were really interested in. You and I would be really interested in the second coming. And so it's neat to see that kind of stuff, but just to see how it all flows together.

Yeah. What are some of the big highlighted ones that come to mind when you're preparing for this presentation? What are some ones that maybe you can share with our audience today?

B
Well, there are prophecies about like the first coming, for instance, that are very clearly taught that the Messiah would be God incarnate. He would come to pay the penalty for our sin nature and the event would occur on a specific date on their calendar. When you convert it over to ours, it turns out to be 32 AD, give or take a year. And then it talks about it starts the age of grace and it gets into other prophecies. So one thing is interesting is that for, you know, because Paul says eventually the church apostatizes and eventually all Israel is saved, the Dead Sea Scrolls really gets them thinking about the Messiah and the understanding that Christianity might be correct rather than what they've been taught. And then you come up with a Hebrew New Testament that they're going to look at that's going to make more sense because it's in the native language. And all of that together I think is going to make a massive amount of Messianic Jews, a movement which Paul prophesies. And I think that's going to eventually occur in the tribulation period. But we're seeing it developing now, which is fantastic.

Absolutely. In the last few minutes of our time together. I would love for you to just share anything that has been on your heart lately. I know there's just always so much happening in the world today. And any words of encouragement or just insights that you would have to share with us.

One thing is to always look at that. We tend to look at the tribulation period as the end. The Antichrist is going to come. We're all going to die. The end. You know, and we need to look at this as like we've had World War I, we've had World War II. We're going to have a really bad time of the tribulation period. You and I won't be there because were Christians. But the bottom line is it's a short seven year period after which we're going to have the establishment of the Millennial kingdom. So it's like A little hiccup in history, a really bad one. But we really need to focus on the fact that Jesus is in control. He's going to come back, there's going to be a messianic kingdom and we need to use the time appropriately to try to get people saved. But focusing on these things in the right way I think is correct. We need to talk to our congressmen, try to get things better in run it's not going to work, but in the really long run it is going to work. So we need to try to stay away from anything taking us toward the mark of the beast. So there's a lot of people now talking about making computer systems where they're face scans and uploading IDs and we need to resist anything like that. So just different things like that. Everything's coming. Jesus told us what's going to come. He said, don't let your heart be troubled. Understand I've told you these things before, they happen. So we just need to trust in Him.

Absolutely. And I do agree that a lot of those steps that we might be taking, they will be fruitless in a lot of ways just because that is the direction that ultimately the world is going to head. But we are the remnant church and we are standing for truth because we know that that is what the Lord would have us to do. And it does still make a differ, even if it is so discouraging and it feels fruitless. I know that we are here for a reason and we are called to be salt and light because it makes a difference when the salt and the light is gone. What a different world this is going to be. So I'm so glad that you are aware of these things, that you're bringing it to our attention and hopefully we will all be able to come together and take the small steps that we can in our communities because those small steps added up will make a big difference with time.
