Hey, doing great, man. Joe, thanks for having me on.
Joe Hawkins (0:41)
Absolutely. And today Pastor Billy is going to give us an overview of the seal judgments found there in Revelation 6, the trumpet judgments found in Revelation 8, 9, and the. The bowl judgments found in Revelation 16. So I'm just going to hand it off to Pastor Billy and let you do your thing.
Billy Crone (1:00)
Yeah, well, and great question, because it just so happens that I'm actually teaching line by line, verse by verse, in the original Greek, through the book of Revelation. Almost. Almost done with chapter one. Lord willing. And. But that's the important thing. Just even in chapter one, before you get to the judgments, it's the revelation. The Apocalypse is the unveiling of Jesus Christ. The book of Revelation is all about Jesus, and I tell people all the time. So why are you skipping it? I mean, don't you like the Gospels? Matthew, Mark, Luke and John? It's all about Jesus. Well, this book's all about Jesus, so why aren't you studying that? And by the way, you're supposed to study the whole counsel of God, it's because it's the real, real unveiling of the risen Jesus Christ. He's not on the cross anymore. He's at the right hand of the Father, and he's coming back, and he's coming back to judge. And then in chapters two and three, you see, before he judges the world, he judges the apostate church. And that's with the seven churches, chapter two and three. And he does not mince words. Right. And by the way, the first one that's mentioned there, Ephesus makes the first fatal mistake. They quote, lose their first love. The Greek is very deliberate. That's not a very good translation. It literally is a deliberate act. A better translation is they divorced their first love. They woke up one day, even though they had great teachers, they. They knew Bible doctrine like nobody's business. They were serving in the church. They were active. But you know what happened? They woke up one day and says, nah, I'm not going to seek Jesus like I used to when I first got saved. Sound familiar? It's where a lot of People are, they're getting very casual. But then if you read the order of the churches, it doesn't just follow the postal route, okay, which is the first thing, but it's a spiritual route. Once you make that first mistake with Ephesus, it's downhill from there until you literally end up dead and making Jesus want to vomit you out of his mouth. No joke. So he judges the apostate church first. Then chapter four, you see, he's in the throne room. Scene of God. And starting with what? Come up here. Most of us preach your position would say again, perfect order for pre Trib. Come up here. The church, after he deals with the church. The church is not a part of the seven year tribulation because of the time of God's wrath. Romans chapter 5, 1st Thessalonians 1, 1st Thessalonians 5 says we are saved from, rescued from, not appointed unto God's wrath. So come up here. We're in heaven during that time frame. But, but it also goes into chapter five. And then that's when you have who is opening these judgments? It's the Lamb. He's the only one that's worthy. So before you even get to chapter six is where it all begins in the seal judgments. It tells you where these judgments are coming from. They're coming from the throne room of God, the Lamb of God. He's the only one worthy to open up the scrolls. What's the scrolls? The judgments of God on the planet the wrath. And that's important because a lot of people out there who want to put the church in the seven year tribulation say, oh no, no, the church can be in the first half or the first three. Course, because that's not really the wrath of God. That's the wrath of man. Wrath of Satan. What Bible you reading, man? Because it tells you back in chapter five, before they start where it's coming from. It's coming from the Lamb. Oh, and then if you read the Bible, what a concept. When they do start in chapter six, the seal judgments, that's the first ones. The seals, the trumpets and then the bulls. Right? Seven years of tribulation. And, and it says right there, and the Lamb opened the first seal and the Lamb opened the second seal. And the Lamb opened the third seal and the Lamb opened the fourth se. Then it switches to and he and he and he, the next three. But still it's talking about Jesus. Where is the wrath coming from? The Lamb? So how could you sit there and say this is the wrath of Satan or the Wrath of man. You just want to squeeze the church in a time frame that the Bible says we are saved from. We are not appointed unto God's wrath. This is God's wrath. This is not normal trouble. It is his wrath coming on the planet. But then that's the seals. You know, the seal starts with the white horse rider, the Antichrist Parallel to Matthew 24, parallel to Daniel 9, 27. What starts the event? False peace, utopia. The Antichrist makes a covenant, the Israel people. And that's the first judgment from God. You don't want the real Jesus Christ. All right, you're getting the Antichrist. You reap what you sow. You got duped. His true colors come out very quickly because then he, a global war breaks out and then there's a global famine that breaks out. And then the four seal tells you here's, here's the output of that. One fourth of the earth is already annihilated. We're just in the first half. We're just getting started, Joe. That's 2 billion people right now. That's 2 billion people. You're just getting started in the seven year tribulation is going to be annihilated. Then it goes to the next seal, the Martyrs seal. Now people can still get saved in the seven year tribulation. You see that with 144,000 male Jewish witnesses. Revelation 11 and Revelation 7 talks about that. And they go out and share the gospel. The two witnesses, Revelation chapter 11 as well. And then also you have the angel that God in the 70 tribulation declares the whole, the gospel to the whole world. Right? So but here's the point. You should have got saved today and you could avoid the whole thing. So yeah, people can get saved during the end, but you're going to be slaughtered like flies. In fact, the picture that's in there is very graphic in the Greek. They weren't just slaughtered, they were literally flayed up and chopped up like animals. Is, is the particular Greek word, spado that's used there. And then of course you got the great earthquake that shakes the whole planet, every island and that and all that stuff happens. And that's the lead in to the next round. And basically it starts off with silence in heaven for about a half an hour. And that's basically God saying, you ain't seen nothing yet. I grew up in Kansas, Nebraska, Tornado Alley. And when you knew, you knew the tornado was getting close and the destruction was coming when right before it hit, it was completely silent. The crickets wouldn't do their thing. The birds wouldn't chirp. It was. It was freaky. And then boom. It hit with its full force. That's what God's doing for a half an hour. You ain't going to hear nothing. It's basically God saying, you ain't seen nothing yet. Wait till you see the second half, right? And. And so then you got the trumpet judgments, right? And just, you know, again, you got asteroid that goes into the Earth, slams, destroys the third of the sea and the. The ships and all that stuff. It's a massive mega thing. You're not going to stop this. No nuclear bomb's going to stop it. All this baloney. And then a third of the sea creatures die. A third of the sea turns into blood on things that nature. And you're still getting started. A third of the sea, A third of the earth gets burned up. All the green grass gets burned up. And things that nature, the water becomes bitter. Many people die, right? And just goes on and on and on. And people are tormented. Who took the mark of the beast. And then it gets in. That's just the trumpets again. I'm just doing a quick overview. And then you get into the bowls. Then the bowls are basically. You're really in trouble now. I mean, you thought you. And this is crazy. And then ugly, painful sores break on those who. Who took the mark of the beast. The Antichrist kingdom is plunged, right? All the sea, not just a third of it. All the sea turns into blood. All the fresh water is. Is taken out. Then God cranks up the sun, right? And scorches people. Fire. They curse God, right? And things of that nature. And all that leads towards what's called the battle of Armageddon at the very end, where Jesus comes back. Revelation 19. And with us, the church. It's a bloodbath. If you do the math, the blood is as high, about 4ft deep for 200 miles. I've had the privilege of being there on the hill of Megiddo. Literally. It's a perfect plane for battle. Historically, many historical battles have been fought there. Well, that's where it's going to happen. But it's a bloodbath. Jesus Christ does not lose, speaks a word. People are just popped like grapes. And things of that nature after that ushers in the millennial kingdom. The earth will be renovated to garden of Eden like conditions. Isaiah brings in a couple of really cool aspects of that. And that makes sense because it's had seven years of God's wrath being completely thrashed. The whole earth is trash. So Jesus renovates it to garden being like conditions. He will rule and reign with us, the bride Christians, literally from Jerusalem. There will be not only peace with nature, it'll be a time of abundance. No more earthquakes and all the curse stuff that happened with sin, earthquakes and all that famines, all that's going to be gone. It's going to be super abundant. Isaiah 11 says there's going to be peace with animals. We'll be able to be peace with no wild animals. You can have a pet lion, pet tiger, whatever. I want a hippo. That's my preference. Things that nature, but it's real. It's really going to happen. But unfortunately at the end, there'll be a final rebellion. This whole time, Satan has been bound, he's released. He stirs up a final rebellion. That one is put down extremely quick. And then you have what's called the Great White Throne Judgment. All the people have been stacking up in all of human history in hell this whole time have been raised up to the Great White Throne. Their name was not found in the book Singular of life. But they didn't trust in the work of Jesus Christ's death on the cross. That's why their name was not found in the book of the Lamb's Book of Life. They trusted in their own works. That's why they went to hell. That's why the books plural are open. And everything they ever did is all recorded there. Nobody's going to stand before God, say God, this is unfair. And it's. No, you're not. And so God as the judge will basically take all those that in hell raised up. You go from hell into the lake of fire, frying pan into the fire that is the second death, so to speak. You don't want to be a part of that. You need to get saved today. If you're not, if you're listening to this, to avoid that. But then after that is what's called the new heavens and the new earth and the new Jerusalem. This is where Peter kicks in. And when he says that everything is going to go in a big flaming fireball. Not just the earth, but the whole universe. It's all done. It's all scorched earth. God brings in a new heaven and a new earth and a new Jerusalem. And then guess what? So shall it always be. It's called the state of eternity. No more death. No more mourning or crying or pain or devil or demons or sin or darkness. It's all gone forevermore. Why? Because the old order things has passed away. That's it in a nutshell. That's our future. And that's what you get when you study Bible prophecy. And I tell people all the time, no wonder Christians are looking so glum and they're sidetracked and they're worldly and, and they're freaking out because they're not reading the end. The end tells us that nobody has a brighter future than the church. This is good stuff. Right? And I tell people all the time, do you read a book? And purposely every time you read a book you say, nah, I'm not going to read that last chapter. I'm going to go start another book. Oh. In fact, some people want to know the end first. They cheat and they go to the end first. Well, that's what the book of Revelation is. It's not all this stuff about seven year tribulation. It's the future that Christ has won for us with the new heavens and the new earth, the millennial kingdom, peace with nature, rule and reign with Christ. I can't wait. Right. And when you know that, then it not only gets you excited, as the scripture says, and long for his appearing, because when he appears, that's when it all begins, Joe. But then it gets rid of laziness and apathy because we got to get out there and bring as many as we can into the kingdom.
