I trace this wake-up call back to a recent conference where, room after room, people recognized me from Instagram and told me how much my content meant to them — a reminder of the impact I'd been underestimating. Just two weeks into this new approach, I'm already seeing a wave of unsolicited praise from friends, clients, and followers, even though the metrics haven't dramatically changed yet.
