The old school building had been standing since the early 1900s, and almost everyone who worked there seemed to have a strange story about it.

Teachers heard unexplained noises late at night. Custodians found lights mysteriously turned back on after locking rooms up. And beneath the gym bleachers, near the staircase leading toward the locker rooms, people swore something felt wrong.

But the story that unsettled Eric most came from another custodian during summer cleaning.

Out of nowhere, a small child grabbed his hand, pointed toward the dark stairwell under the bleachers, and quietly warned him not to go down there.
