He is the founder of places like The Broken Shaker, Jolene Sound Room, Hoja Tacos- a culture creator and conscious manifestor. We have so much to learn from him, can't wait for you to dive in!This week I sat down to talk to my fiancé Gabe, while we were in New York for the opening of his new bar (0:17). For a while the manifestation game has been epitomized by white privilege, as most people in the spiritual teaching and author space, historically, have been white or white passing. But for people like Gabe his anarchy was to dismiss his lack of privilege and almost delusionally pursue his dreams, as my boy Russ the musician would say. At some point you have to take radical responsibility for your visions, desires, and actions to pursue your biggest dreams.DO: Go to one of Bar-Lab’s restaurants or bars, located in Miami, NYC, La, Chicago and Washington DC. They’re award winning, always have a sense of welcoming hospitality and non pretentious craft. They source as many of their ingredients as possible locally and/or heirloom. I’m so proud of my fiance and his team, the culture they have created is really second to none.Thank you for listening, please subscribe and share- and if youre feeling extra generous- write a review- I read everyone of my reviews and I’m thinking of begging to add a moment in where I read them on this podcast- so if you want to hear your words shared into the world- drop a review.Signing off rebelliously and relentlessly - don't forget to question everything Learn more about your ad choices. Laura told me about her childhood growing up in Montreal and how she found herself living off the grid in Hawaii (4:15). I am an open book when it comes to my relationship with my Fiance Gabe. We were on and off and on and off when we began dating and I mean for like 2 solid years. It wasn’t until we went to a conscious uncoupling therapist, to try to neutralize our feelings for one another, so that we could finally break up for good- that I learned was equally part of the problem. When i began to really look within myself and heal the trauma and patterns not only did it resolve most of our issues (cliff notes here, cause he also did the work) but when I began to heal those parts of myself that were sharp and untrusting, triggered and angry- I began to actually see someone different in him. So often we look at the world around us through our traumatized lens. Thus attracting our mirror directly to us. Gabe and I were lucky we were both willing to do the inner work and outer work together. But whether or not you are or are not in a relationship, it begins with you.
