Foreign hey folks, if you haven't heard, I have two new online workshops that I'm teaching this summer right before I move to Bangkok. And you can email me about it at kevinrisk-show.com if you love Risk and if you've ever wondered, could I do that? Do I have some experiences from my life that people be interested in hearing about? Would I even enjoy a workshop like that? I have your answers. Yes, yes and yes. I'm telling you, it's like clockwork. Every time we do one of these, several people will say, oh, I just wasn't quite sure I could tell a good story, and I wasn't so sure my life experiences are interesting enough. And I thought I might be a nervous wreck meeting Kevin and a bunch of other Risk fans to do a workshop. And every single time that person tells wonderful stories, makes great new friends, and talks about the workshop as being one of the highlights of their year. Now, it's true some people who have taken the workshop have been on Risk a few times. Some have already taken the workshop itself before, but others hadn't even heard of Risk and were blown away. By the way, you're not only welcome to tell longer, challenging, emotionally raw and vulnerable stories, but you're also welcome to tell one minute or three minute or five minute stories that are rated G or just for fun. Sometimes a story is just a little thing that happened earlier that day. In my second workshop group this summer, the group we call Group B, the shorthand for this that we started using is Everyone has a hot dog story because of this ridiculous but delightful little slice of life story that one of the students shared about nothing more profound than eating a hot dog. So listen, we have had students who are not yet 20 take the workshop and students who were nearly 90. We've had students who meticulously wrote out their stories and students who just improvised their stories on the spot right there for everyone. And there's enormous flexibility with the workshop. Have to miss a few sessions. Even if it's the first few sessions, that's fine. There's recordings of the sessions and videos of all the lectures and exercises and you can even send in a video of you telling a story if you have to miss a week. In one of the groups. This summer, a fella missed the first four out of the eight Zoom sessions, but jumped in midway and everyone immediately fell in love with him and he workshopped a couple of wonderful so even if you're hearing this after one of the workshops has begun, you can still jump in Group D will have zoom sessions from July 9th to August 27th. That's Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 9:00pm Eastern Standard Time. Group E will have zoom sessions from August 17th to October 5th. That's Sundays from 10am to 12:30pm Eastern Standard Time. The workshops are $500 and you can pay in two installments if you like. Each student can have a half hour one on one. Check in with me. I've had a blast doing those too. And let's be real, we're going to be featuring a lot of these stories on the podcast eventually too. I've avoided saying that in promos so far, but obviously if you tell me a story, I'm going to start thinking, oh, maybe I could ask that person if we can record a version of that for the show someday. As you might expect, in the workshops, we've laughed, we've cried sometimes. We've just given one another moral support in general because you know, we're going through one hell of a challenging and era right now. Now the amount of video content I created for people to take in. You know, video content about all the nitty gritty of storytelling, my lectures, my analysis of stories, and my exercises. I admit it's a lot, but I keep telling people everyone is free to take it all in at your own pace. In fact, someone in Group A, which wrapped up like a month ago, just emailed me to say they were blown away by one of the final lectures that they finally got to today. And I was glad to hear that he's still getting great value out of the workshop. So listen, don't hesitate. Email me at kevinrisk-show.com and I'll email you back about how to get into one of these last two workshops before I move overseas. And you know, at that point I'll be in a dramatically different time zone. The workshops have legitimately been one of the most healing and encouraging and inspiring things about my summer of 2025 so far. And I'd love to have you to come be a part of one too. Folks, today's the day. Take a risk. By which I mean one of these workshops risk.
