I’m beyond excited to share the latest episode of Roaming with Restless Women with you. This is one of my very very favorite guests! Cheri Carandanis is an artist whose journey from nursing to painting is nothing short of inspiring. Here’s a sneak peek into our conversation that you won’t want to miss!Cheri's 25-year nursing career ended abruptly due to brain injuries, but she found a new path in painting. Painting became Cheri's therapeutic outlet, helping her heal physically, mentally, and spiritually. Her art is a beautiful blend of grief, gratitude, and grace.Cheri's background as an Air Force nurse, including her intense experiences as an ICU and hospice nurse, adds a profound depth to her story. The loss of her father in a tragic accident and the miraculous recovery of his body by sea lions is a poignant part of her journey, influencing her art and healing process.Cheri's work is deeply intuitive, often starting with layers of paint and evolving into powerful, expressive pieces. Her painting She is Not Moved (that I now own!) is a striking example of resilience and determination.Cheri's story will remind you that it’s never too late to find a new purpose and passion. To reach Cheri and to see her work: https://www.chericarandanisfineart.comTo apply to be on the show: https://www.intuitivewisdomcoach.com/roaming-with-restless-women-podcastIf you are a senior woman leader and are contemplating making a big career or life change, discover more resources on https://www.intuitivewisdomcoach.comFinally, please LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE or leave a review if you love the wisdom these women are sharing!

I’m thrilled to share the latest episode of Roaming with Restless Women with you. This time, I had the pleasure of chatting with Tucker Miller, the dynamic founder and CEO of Onward Leadership. Tucker’s journey is inspiring, and I can’t wait for you to dive into our conversation! Key Lessons and Ideas:Tiny Shifts, Big Impact: Tucker emphasizes that small, almost imperceptible changes can propel leaders to the next level. She calls these “tiny grains of sand” that, when adjusted, can make a world of difference.Energy Matters: We discussed how the energy leaders bring into a room can influence their effectiveness. Even if the words are right, fear-based energy can undermine leadership presence.Naming the Fear: Tucker shared a fun and practical tip—naming the fear-based voice in your head. Her “lizard” is called Gladys, and this technique helps manage anxious thoughts constructively.Tucker’s book, The First Four Words, offers practical strategies to start conversations with ease and confidence. It’s all about overcoming the fear that prevents difficult conversations from happening.Authentic Communication: We delved into the importance of being genuine and calm, especially during transitions. Authenticity builds trust and eases team anxieties. To reach Tucker: tucker@onwardleadership.comTo apply to be on the show: https://www.intuitivewisdomcoach.com/roaming-with-restless-women-podcastIf you are a senior woman leader and are contemplating making a big career or life change, discover more resources on https://www.intuitivewisdomcoach.comFinally, please LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE or leave a review if you love the wisdom these women are sharing!

In this powerful episode of "Roaming with Restless Women," I interview Sally Raymond—a marriage and family therapist, author, and passionate advocate for youth. Sally’s journey is deeply personal: after losing her son John to suicide in 1991, she dedicated her life to understanding what went wrong and to preventing similar tragedies for other families. Her story is not just one of loss, but of hope, resilience, and a relentless drive to help young people discover their worth and potential. Her book, "The Son I Knew Too Late" gives expert advice such as: Acknowledge the pain. Don’t shy away from difficult conversations about mental health and suicide. Understand the warning signs. Withdrawal, hopelessness, and drastic changes in behavior are red flags. Be present and listen. Sometimes, the most powerful intervention is simply showing up and caring. To reach Sally, take a look at her website: https://www.sallyraymond.comTo apply to be on the show: https://www.intuitivewisdomcoach.com/roaming-with-restless-women-podcastIf you are a senior woman leader and are contemplating making a big career or life change, discover more resources on https://www.intuitivewisdomcoach.comFinally, please LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE or leave a review if you love the wisdom these women are sharing!

Feeling overwhelmed by stuff? You're not alone. In my recent episode of Roaming with Restless Women podcast, Miriam Ortiz Y Pino and I talk about the cultural myth that more stuff equals more happiness. It doesn't.Miriam shares her golden rule: make sure every item you own contributes to the life you want to live. If something doesn't contribute to that life, you don't need it - don't buy it in the first place or get rid of it (gift it) to someone whose life will be blessed by having it.I totally resonated with Miriam as I got rid of 85 percent of my "stuff" nearly three years ago to live and work in an RV. When that dream was replaced by another dream (to be closer to my kids and grandson), not having so much stuff made it easy to move into a smaller space!Organization and continuous improvement works in all aspects of one's life. Miriam consults with and coaches business leaders on getting their businesses organized and more profitable as well!
