Ruach: Breath of God is a podcast devoted to Spirit-formed living—where faith becomes movement, prayer becomes communion, and Jesus becomes the center of everything. Come experience the life-giving Breath (Ruach) that flows from intimacy with Christ and life in the Holy Spirit!

In this episode, Anthony Morphis reads Chapter 2 of The Hidden Place: The Inner Life of a Spirit-Formed Leader, with added devotional commentary and reflection. Chapter 2, “Formation Before Function,” speaks to one of the great dangers in spiritual leadership: learning how to function before allowing God to deeply form the inner life. A person can learn ministry language, carry responsibility, serve others, teach, lead, and build, while still carrying places of the soul that remain unhealed, unsubmitted, or untouched by deeper obedience. This chapter calls us back to the order of heaven: Formation before function. Roots before reach. Hidden obedience before public responsibility. This devotional reading is meant to be received slowly and prayerfully. Do not rush through it. Let the Holy Spirit search your motives, strengthen your inner life, and form Christ more deeply within you. Reflection question: Where has my function started moving faster than my formation? Ruach School of Ministry exists to form leaders from the inside out. Learn more: RuachSchoolOfMinistry.org

In this narrated chapter from The Hidden Place, Anthony Morphis invites listeners into a deeper understanding of the Spirit-filled life. Being touched by the Holy Spirit is powerful, holy, and necessary, but encounter is not the finish line. The Spirit does not come merely to give us moments of fire, gifting, or spiritual excitement. He comes to form Christ in us. This chapter calls leaders and believers beyond spiritual experience into surrender, obedience, purity, maturity, and daily formation. It asks the searching question: Have I mistaken movement for maturity? Listen prayerfully, slowly, and with an open heart. This is not just a chapter to hear. It is an invitation to be formed in the hidden place. Ruach School of Ministry Forming leaders from the inside out. Learn more: RuachSchoolOfMinistry.org

In this opening reading of The Hidden Place, Anthony Morphis invites listeners back to the secret place where God forms the inner life before He releases public influence. This introduction speaks to leaders, believers, and servants of Christ who are tired of surface Christianity and longing for a deeper work of surrender, purity, prayer, Scripture, and obedience. True spiritual authority is not born from image, platform, or gifting alone; it is shaped in hidden communion with God, where motives are searched, identity is settled, and Christ is formed within. In this episode, we will talk about surrender, abiding in Christ, and how the Holy Spirit produces love, joy, peace, kindness, mercy, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control in the life of a believer. Jesus said, “I am the vine, you are the branches… without Me you can do nothing.” A branch does not strive to produce fruit, it bears fruit by staying connected to the Vine. This episode is a call to stop performing fruit and start abiding in Jesus! Learn more: RuachSchoolOfMinistry.org

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:33: “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Prosperity is added—it is never the pursuit. In Deuteronomy 8:18, we are told that God gives us the power to create wealth—but always with purpose. Prosperity must remain a tool, not a throne. If prosperity replaces God, it will eventually destroy what it was meant to bless. But when God remains first, prosperity becomes a vehicle for freedom, generosity, and impact.

What are some of the things that are keeping us back from receiving God's blessings in our lives?

Welcome to Part 3 of Prosperity Realized. Today, we're talking about Generational Prosperity--how the choices we make today can inluence the lives of furture generations.
