“So Monoah asked him, “…what kind of rules should govern the boys life and work?” (Judges 13:12)
Welcome to Ruthless Mothering!
Hi, I'm Yvette! I'm a homeschooling mom of three beautiful girls. Sometimes, I’ve felt like the epitome of an undeserving mom. Sometimes, I've messed up thoroughly, but I thank God for His help, teaching, discipline, and restoration and for choosing me to raise these God-loving girls!
Ruthless Mothering is about raising whole children, rather than piecing them out to the world. Moms, today, feel the need to be more vigilant and proactive than ever before. The Bible is our best Resource if we want them to grow up knowing how to live well in this world.
I believe God understands the challenges moms face and wants to help us.
As I was preparing Ruthless Mothering, a few questions that came to mind.
- Am I stewarding our family based on what God and His Word says or based on how my parents raised me, on trauma, or on what others are saying/doing?
- Who do I want my children see me pleasing more: God or others?
- Do my children see me spending more time on my phone or with God and my family?
Ruthless Mothering (RM) is focused on being a mom God's way because His direction is the only one that counts. He created us, and He knows what He thinks about us. (Jeremiah 29:11)

This starts a beginning of new recordings every Monday with episodes called Shorts, followed by full episodes every Wednesday.Okay, so it's obvious that Jesus was a Father, but He came as a Son (the one and only begotten Son of God, to be exact). Find out this quick and simple revelation God wanted me to share with you! He may have revealed it to you, already, but it's a nice reminder. I hope your week is starting off well! May the Lord bless you, each and every day. If we stay close to Him, and He'll stay close to us. (James 4:8)Thanks for listening! I really appreciate you If you have questions, suggestions or comments, please email me at ruthless@ruthlessmothering.com.

This is a general episode of a Series that I'll be talking about for the next few weeks.Moms, our lack of grace for ourselves is causing us so much loneliness, fear, doubt, shame, and insecurity. These are not the things that God thought of us before we were created. He is higher than these negative feelings. When we're thinking low of ourselves, remember: God's ways, including His thoughts, are higher than low self-esteem! Of course, this doesn't mean God is okay with us mistreating our children, but, if we are genuinely seeking Him when we fall as moms, He will pick us up and lead the way unto righteousness. When we seek Him, we learn His ways and thoughts. We're learning Him and becoming more like Him!"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD." (Isaiah 55:8 KJV)Thanks for listening! Only God can help us raise our children. He knows them best. Oftentimes, we try to control everything and that takes our focus away from what God wants for us. I pray that we allow the Lord us in all things, including raising our children. Thanks for listening! I really appreciate you If you have questions, suggestions or comments, please email me at ruthless@ruthlessmothering.com.

Today's episode is short, but we're talking about the trust we put in media. Is it that we believe they have our children's good interest at heart or that we just want to keep them busy while we do other things? There's a price to pay when we're not paying attention to our children. We'll talk much more about this in future episodes! Thanks for listening! Thanks for listening! Welcome to the first episode of Ruthless Mothering! In the Book of Judges, Samson's dad, Manoah, asked the Angel of the Lord the most important and humbling question any parent can, and really should, ask God: How do we raise this child? (Judges 13:12)Ruthless Mothering is for moms and women (because we're all born from moms) who know that they're flawed and aren't afraid to talk about it. We're here to have discussions about what's going on in the world, and how to equip our children through the Word of God and His Holy Spirit.I've made the decision to just do it and post my first episode of Ruthless Mothering. Is it perfect? For me, yes. It's not my normal idea of perfect: sound, ambience, guests, but I'm learning to let God of what I think is perfect. Perfection is overrated because it's never satisfied. It's a horrible taskmaster. This is why the Bible tells us to be perfect even as our Father in Heaven is perfect, and that perfection comes through the leading of His Holy Spirit. (Matthew 5:46) This type of "perfect" has nothing to do with the work we do but with our character. Are we being like our Father in Heaven? Read Matthew 5 to find out what that perfect way looks like to God. When God tells us to do something, even as moms, we have to let go of the excuses, and just do it! By the way, a freight train runs through my episode - horn blaring and all, and I kept going. I was determined to stay focused so that I can get the episode completed. It's my first - hopefully of many. It's a great start, I think! We come to the Earth needing God, and God doesn't expect us to ignore our flaws. Paul tells us that His strength is made perfect in weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9) So, as moms, when we feel weak - insecure, unqualified, the worst, we can take those feelings to God. We make ourselves think we can do everything, but God will quickly show that we aren't meant to do it all. We're not created to be supermoms or superwomen, we need a supernatural God who has all the answers and loves to lead us throughout our days and lives, while in relationship with Him. We are His daughters, and He loves us.The world will have us thinking that we can do it all. It's not good for us to do it all. It's good for us to have community. Ruthless Mothering is a community for women to talk about motherhood and daughterhood. We can all use the help. We're here for you!If you don't know Jesus, He's available to you. Again, we're not meant to do it all. God didn't design us for that, and this is why His Son died on the cross for us. If you're ready to give your life to Christ, you can do it today! Pray to Him. Talk to Him. Let Him know that you need and want Him in your life. Grab a Bible and start reading about History and what's to come. I hope you choose Him . He has the best plans for you and your family ❤️!~ YvetteThanks for listening!
