In this episode, Gary Brooks shares what the Lord has taught him through his journey as a successful real estate developer, and specifically, the renovation of the First National Center in Oklahoma City. Renovating the First National Center was a presumably, impossible project that Gary shares was a prop for what the Lord wanted to do in him, more than it was about the building itself. We get to listen in and learn all the rich nuggets Gary learned, like living with holy expectation and the importance of stewarding God's spoken Word well. Gary also shares that the First National Center was a starting point for what the Lord has invited him to step into next, and encourages us to look for and lean into our "First National." What if the most powerful weapon we have for leadership and city transformation isn't found in boardrooms or pulpit platforms, but around our dinner tables? Join us in this conversation with Scotia Moore, as she challenges us to reconsider hospitality not as entertaining or impressing others, but as a form of spiritual warfare, a radical act of generosity that tears down walls and builds bridges across divides. It is not about perfect homes or gourmet meals, it's about creating space where people encounter the presence of God through our willingness to be vulnerable, to step into discomfort, and to practice the courageous faith of bringing unlikely people together.

In this powerful exploration of divine purpose, we're reminded that God's plan for our lives is knowable and accessible. The key message is that by earnestly seeking God, we can uncover our unique mission. This echoes Jeremiah 29:13, where God promises, 'You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.' We're challenged to pay attention to the passions and burdens God places on our hearts, as these often point to our divine calling. The journey of discovering God's purpose is portrayed not as a one-time event, but as an evolving process of deepening understanding and revelation. This perspective encourages us to embrace the mystery of faith and view our failures as part of the learning journey. As we navigate our path, we're urged to shift from a performance-oriented mindset to one of resting in God's grace, trusting His guidance rather than relying solely on our own efforts.
