First of all, you are talking to a. A true criminal, a reformed criminal, if anything. Girl, I'm from. I'm from Nebraska, which everybody's so sick of me reiterating, but I'm sorry, it defines most of who I am. And in Nebraska ain't shit to do but drugs and crime, bro. That's all he was doing. And I feel like my relationship to scamming is I used to do some credit card skimming back in the day. Back in early. That was before the chips, though. Chips came in. Like, fuck my whole shit up. But this is when I was. I was like in high school and working at a diner and my friend's big brother was like, dark web 4chan scammer, nigga. We are problematic. No, we are. And it was my job and my, my, my homegirl's job, his little sister to just like get credit card numbers and send it his way. And then we would just collect and never think about it ever again. Because we worked at a diner, so we had high traffic. Like, just put the. Scan the card, then put it in the skimmer, put it in the reader and just go on your married business on your tips. So.

And everything on this podcast is alleged. Okay, These are not confessions exactly. Like, a lot of this is made up. It's for entertainment. So I don't know what Aida got going on. Okay. But I love this for you. Diner is a perfect place because it's such high traffic and people are in and out. People are really like, checking like that. So Jebedicia says, when I was in college and broke in all caps. Yes. Being the things I could do with $20 when I was in college. And now I'm like, what happened to me? Because now I'd be spending wild money on, like, dinner and. And I'm like, what happened to me? Because I used to make $20 work things stretch.

Stretch. Like Simone Biles.

Right.

How come when you said that, I instantly went to. What's my name? Drake and, like, the things that I could do with $20, girl.

Immediately, yes, we love some Drake. Drake is a scammer. All on his own.

He's practically a Persian man. So, yeah, he is a scammer for sure.

It was so funny because when Drake had his baby, all the black community was surprised that the baby looked Caucasian. And I was like, y'all know Drake is. His mama is white.

Exactly.

And he had a baby with a white woman. Like, y'all thought it was gonna come out with a. With a tennis ball haircut and a fade. And you know what?

Drake is white until proven otherwise. I don't give a fuck what y'all say. I ain't never seen his daddy. Oh, wait, Yes, I have been. How. Don't do that.

Drake is that his dad is very. I'VE been to the club and, like, next to me was Drake's dad. And I said, I need to get my life together because why am I over here with Drake Daddy?

Like, a lot. I think it's a law of nature. Like, maybe you haven't seen Drake's daddy, but Drake's daddy has seen you. That's like Newton's fourth law of physics.

That's just how it's because he's out here. Okay, When I tell you that man is out here. So this is when I was college and broke. I ran a scam that at the time seemed totally innocent. Concert venues, right? Of course it was innocent. Concert venues in my college town would give paying customers paper wristbands instead of tickets for the majority of the concerts that they had. After the shows, me, my friends would hang out and ask people for their wristbands when they came out. Over time, we had a collection of every color and pattern imaginable for the wristbands. We would then use these wristbands to attend concerts for free and bring our friends along. And it worked like a charm over time. I got cocky and finally got caught at a big music festival in the mountains.

Not the mountains, bitch. Not the alpines. You doing crimes.

[Lacey Mosley]

You doing crimes. Times you do a crime of elevation, sis. Like, can't even really breathe good up there.

[Aida Osman]

Over there struggling in multiple ways.

[Lacey Mosley]

But I love the audacity. I love that you were like, oh, this is working here. Okay, let's take this to the mountains. Okay, we're going to Ibiza. We're going to.

[Aida Osman]

This is the Allterrain scammer. That's crazy.

And we love that. For her, we do. Okay. I want every kind of tread. So. So basically, she got cocky. Big music festival in the mountains. My friend who took this scam to a new level was actually making fake wristbands for this three festival, and they were impressive. I joined and carefully copied the wristband details, even purchased a gift bag of the same color and texture to cut the wristband out of. For the glossy look. The final detail was gluing the little back snap on the back. At a quick glance, it would pass. Later that night, security was cracking down at the show, and at closer inspection, I was caught. I cried and claimed I bought the band for a hundred dollars from a hippie in the park. I went on to give a detailed description that would literally incriminate 90% of the male hippies at the show.

I love this woman. She is actually in the streets doing.

The work she's doing The Lord's work, truly. Okay, Scam daddy. Scam Sky Daddy. Where we praise him. So basically she said, I bought it for a hundred dollars from a white guy with dreads, a dog, and a Grateful Dead T shirt.

Where was she at? Burning Man. Where was she? I'm trying to figure out.

I feel like I didn't got no wristbands, right? Because they supposed to be all hippie ish, Right?

[Aida Osman]

Exactly. Y. Oh my God.

I feel like maybe red rocks. Do they have a festival? Why am I trying to figure out the location, right?

Are you trying to go.

So the police bought the story. Or maybe I got the cute girl pass and I was let go with a warning. I was so spooked that when I returned home, I gifted my coveted wristband collection, 50 plus wristbands to an underclassman friend and put my scamming days behind me. Oh, well, it was still working local. You could still do it for locals.

Also, what a nice way for Jebedicius to slip in that she's fine by being like, I got the cute girl pass. I'm like, okay, bitch.

Yes, you did.

Right? She was like, also, I'm very sassy.

And I think that helped me ultimately.

How so it was All Star Weekend and I was at the 40Forty Club in New York.

That's the one that Jay Z owned at the time. I don't know what they doing now. They always selling. But we went in and it's also, you know, All Star weekend is crazy because it's like where the girls go to get chose. They buy one way flights and then they do go fund me. Like, please help All Star hoochie make it back home to family.

I didn't know it was that deep. And I want to partake like, oh.

It'S, it's a thing. Because it's like that's the moment for all the cute girls across the country to interact with a baller that they would probably never meet because they don't know, you know, where the ball is at.

But they know that they're at NBA All Star weekend. All types of balls. So they're like, we gotta go, you know, gotta make sure our BBL is fresh. And done.

You know, it's a big time for wigs because everybody needs the lace laid. And you know, it's a, it's a beautiful time for the club ratchet industry.

So Steve Madden was also getting a coin and you know, Jessica Simpson was too, because she makes those good shoes that are nice and high, you can run from the cops in them.

So I still got Jessica Simpson suitcase somewhere in my closet. She was really doing the Lord's work again.

When she hung up singing, I was like, jess, because this is your true calling. It's the footwear. You know what I mean?

She did say boots were made for walking. Bitch, where are the boots? Make the boots, right?

Make the boots so that we can walk in them. And she was like, here they go, here they go. You can walk in all of these and all these colors. So we go and we had went to a football game or some shit earlier, I don't even know what, but we have wristbands. And so when we got to 4040, we noticed that the VIP area, which is up these stairs, if you've ever been, there's like stairs where they almost like stadium seats. And so we go up and we realize that everyone in VIP is wearing a white wristband that has a black like 4040 emblem on it. So the wristbands that we had were colored, but if you flip them over because they were cheap, it was just white on the other side.

Yeah.

So we just flipped them over and then cut it on by and like, you know, didn't show our wrist too much. And then got in and sure enough, Beyonce came and yes. And it was a frenzy. It was like we were sitting there with some rapper, singer, athletes, some.

We.

[Lacey Mosley]

I don't even remember who they were. And I remember everyone just started running and I was like, okay, I'm black. You know, if everybody's running, I'm running too. And I'm gonna ask what's going on when I get there. So I'm just gonna run and you know, see what happens, right? So I ran with everybody and my girlfriends. We all Ran. And it was funny because one of my girlfriends took off running and didn't even say shit. She just was running. And I was like, bitch, where? All right, we running. And so we get over there, and it's Beyonce.

No, they're running to something, not from something. Okay, now.

And I didn' I didn't know if we were running to or from, but I was gonna run because that's the culture. That's the black culture.

I was like, niggas are running. Me too. Jackie Joyner Kersey, say less. Usain Bold. Let's go. So I get over there, and it's Beyonce. And she was so nice, and people were like, oh, can we take pictures? Like, you know, I'm not taking pictures right now. And I was like, that's fine, Queen. I just want to breathe the air. Ooh, tastes good.

And had she just performed?

No, I think she was walking in because there's a further VIP in the back. So you can go in the back, and there's pool tables and private rooms and stuff. And we were doing that, but at this point, we were sitting in the front of vip and she walked through the front, which I think she does when she wants to get, like, the press going for the club. So it's like, oh, today I'll walk in the front so the girls will put 4040 on page.

I'll fucking let y'all see me. I'll let y'all just have the opportunity and the privilege to just see my legs. You know, if I close my eyes, I can see Beyonce's figure and her thighs so perfectly. And that's, like. That caused me fear because I can't even do that with my own body. I'm like, bitch, what do I look like? But with Beyonce, I know exactly what her body looked like. And to the year.

To the year. I remember Beyonce's had such a power over me that when Girl like that who Run the World Girl song came out, the first time I listened to it, I was like, beyonce, I love everything you do, but I don't really like. This is kind of Girls, girl.

Me too. It reminded me how much I hated that song at first listen.

Then she. She scammed me by just playing it over and over and doing a music video that was popping. And then I was like, who run the World girls?

I was like, I don't really like this song.

I had to spend that one year.

For me and a friend to just go sit in the nosebleeds just to watch her. Like, God, I can't wait for the world to open again so I can blow a wreck, right?

Seeing Beyonce to just breathe her air. I'mma get good. Good se. Now I want to be up there with the white people who got them for free because they rich and they don't know what's going on. I want to be like, I want some sweat to hit me, you know, I want her to hit me with her weave.

There next to them screaming my face off, because, oh, my God. It's just. Yeah, but so we scammed, and it actually worked. And I was very proud of us that evening. So this wristband should be working. And honestly, I still have colored wristbands in my house because every now and then, you know, it might be a crazy weekend, and I might have to slap one on one and scam.

You know what that is like, you know how some women keep their fancy gloss in a purse? Gotta have the wallet, the id, the mask, now the keys. The new thing has got to be a different colored wristband just in case you're trying to get into a bar, you know, you don't want to pay no cover fee. And first of all, you a fine woman that should never have to pay no cover fee.

Though many artists use stenciling graffiti, Banksy has drawn international attention for his art. One of his paintings translated into a 1.4 million dollar sale. Each NFT is unique thanks to an attached serial number stored in a network of computers. The underlying technology is called a blockchain and is the same that operates cryptocurrencies. You better stop knowing every single knockoff brand.

I love. I love a knockoff brand. They make me laugh. Okay, so. So they noticed that Pet Supply surface, right? The artist puts stenciled graffiti art for sale in two online galleries, Rarible and open sea. People thought, oh, look, pest is in pest control. Dark humor and graffiti. We just found Banksy. So people are thinking like, one, one Banksy is shrouded in mystery. Why'd I say like that? In mystery. He's shrouded in mystery. And people don't know who he is. So they're thinking like, oh, he's coming up Low on the NFT thing. Like, we just got the tea, right? So Pet Supply didn't mention any affiliation with Banksy in their bio. And none of the NFTs were digitized versions of original Banksy street art. So they kept it far enough away. Yet people insisted on believing that Pet Supply was Banksy. It wouldn't be the first time that Banksy showed up undercover, because that's his whole thing. People simply thought that Banksy used the NFT platforms to pull off another one of his tricks. From there, things escalated and the money started to roll. So Banksy set himself up to be scammed. You're the perfect person to scam. We ain't never seen your face. We ain't never heard your voice. Like, we should all be Banksy, I'm Banksy. I'm Banksy.

We all. So at this point, we could all be. But you know what? I'm immediately thinking, like, are there laws against impersonating somebody even if they have maintained anonymity? Like, can he sue?

Soon after the email exchange spread on Twitter, OpenSea locked pest supplies profile. As for Rarible, where most of the action was, they sent Pet Supply A note. I love Rebel, because Rebel was like, okay, we scamming. So the other site may shut y'all down, but we just gonna see y'all a strongly written letter.

It says, after some discussion, we'd be happy to verify your account, provided that at the top of your bio on Rare, you clearly state that this is not Banksy and that your work is based on Banksy's work. So Rarible was like, look, we love a great value, we love an equate, we love a Kirkland, and we love the residual income we get off of you selling this shit. So could you just go ahead and tell the girls that you're not Banksy? And that's fine with us. Pet Supplies response was to copy paste the same note at the top of their profile. Oh.

I had to recently quit meditating because I'm just becoming too strong and I don't like it. I don't like it. I had. I had to stop. I need to maintain a level of ignorance to be a comedian. First of all, because we're gonna say reckless. We gotta speak our truth and My truth was becoming peace. And I don't like that.

I don't like that you got too peaceful. Like, I need a little anger to fuel what's happening over here.

I need to maintain some toxicity so I can get paid.

Well, first of all, we will never look like Beyonce or Solange because we don't have Ms. Tina Knowles as our mother and seamstress. Like that is just an impossible.

She always gave the best looks it was always like, Ms. Tina would go to the fabric store and be like, give me a roll of that. And then whatever she had left over after making Beyonce's outfit, she would like, cut that up and give it to Kelly. And then the rest, like, if it was something on the road, she would wrap that around Michelle and be like, all right, prosper.

My. My favorite was when she just took the whole role and pinned one of it to Solange's right hip and then continued the role to another right hip of a background singer. And it ended up beautiful. But they was all just connected by this, like, Joanne's fabric. 10 foot strip of just beautiful velvet. So y'all check that out.

But Tina's an icon.

She really is. Oh, my God. So tell me why. I was in NoHo at the theater that she has up there, and Tina was there. Tina was there watching. Oh, girl, girl. Tina Knowles has touched my shoulder and I have not bathed since, bitch.

And you shouldn't never bathe again. I once was on a plane, I had to do some work at Essence Festival and was coming back and Miss Tina was on my plane and I said, oh, child, I never. I have anxiety about planes. Like, So I was like, it was the first time I ever got on a plane. I was like, well, I know this ain't gonna crash, cuz Miss Tina's on it.

He said, God is protecting at least.

One of us, and it ain't me, right? I'm gonna get some residual protection. I'm gonna be, you know, plus one protection.

I love that for you. I love that you felt safe in that moment. Because last time I was on a plane. Tell me why I walked through first class and it's Stephen A. Smith. I don't know.

I love that show. I love the first season. It was so cute. I love writing and there was so much about skateboarding I didn't know like the dynam women and how the men act. And of course men are trash in every industry but like learning about it.

I was like the only constant. The only constant is that men suck everywhere.

Men will not let you down when it comes to being trash. You could always count on that. Count on me. They trash behavior never ends when you are weak. It's cause of them. Know why? I don't know where that came from.
