  - Provision: Manna, quail, water from rocks - Deuteronomy 8:15-16
  - Saw the power of the Lord and heard his voice at Sinai
  - Received a law from Him - Deuteronomy 4:11-14

Their complaints and unbelief

Deuteronomy 1:20-27; Deuteronomy 9:24; Exodus 14:11-12; Exodus 16:3; Exodus 17:3; Numbers 16:13; Numbers 20:4; Numbers 21:5
“Why is the LORD bringing us into this land, to fall by the sword?” Num 14:3

We also have an inheritance

But do we question whether God will bring us into it?

We can have confidence because
- God gave us bread from heaven and living water - John 6:32-35
- God gave us a better covenant and better promises - Hebrews 8:5-6, 10-12
- We were baptized into Christ and brought from slavery - I Corinthians 10:2; Rom 6:3, 7, 9
- He brought us out of bondage through the death of HIS firstborn - Romans 8:32
- But we must believe - Deuteronomy 9:23; Hebrews 10:5
We despair that we cannot do it on our own, but God does not ask us to
- Numbers 13:32-33
- Numbers 14:40-43
- Acts 20:32; Act 26:18
- Colossians 1:11-14
- Leviticus 26:13
- Deuteronomy 1:28-31

We cannot take the land on our own, but by the grace of God, if you believe he was willing to sacrifice his own beloved firstborn to do it, HE WILL BRING YOU INTO THE LAND OF PROMISE!
