Matt Bertram
Howdy. Welcome back to another fun filled episode of the Unknown Secrets of Internet Marketing. I am your host Matt Bertram. This is my end of the year podcast. Happy New Year, Merry Christmas, Happy holidays to everyone out there. I am going to try to release this right around in between that time period I am going to be out. I've been doing a lot of podcast interviews. I thought this would be a good time to reach out and check in with you. I know that the format's changed. Hopefully you like it. I wanted to read a a quick review because to follow our old format for you longtime listeners of the Meat and potatoes. This is from Chris G F. He's a local guide. Great pod. Thank you. I've been listening to it for the last year or so. It was on the top of my list for listeners on Spotify wrapped so he posted a picture as well. So we're his top podcast on there. We also just got acknowledged from Buzzsprout to be the top one of the top 10% of all podcasts on Buzzsprout. So we're doing big things. I think people are liking our format. Please leave us reviews Please follow us, Please subscribe please share if you've gotten value out of this. We are going to start being a lot more accessible, I guess on YouTube and on videos. So we have a initiative to push in that area. We've been on itunes for so long and it's been a great, it's been a great ride and I think that a lot of people are looking for more video content and so please be looking out for our shorts out there@Internet marketingsecrets.com as well as that's going to be our hashtag surprise. No one had that. But yeah, so we're going to be rocking, rolling on that. We're really expanding outside of just SEO to all things Internet marketing and I just really wanted to end the year with you on there's so much changing in digital marketing. There's so much changing with SEO. The last couple of podcasts we've been talking about the 7114 rule, right? So I've talked a lot about seven hours of content. Someone's got to consume seven hours of content, whether it's interacting with your salespeople, your website, sales material, books, podcasts, webinars, whatever you have. They need to see your brand 11 times to kind of get in their psyche and then on four different platforms and that could be different social media platforms, SEO, billboards, what have you. Right? But people need to be seen. You need to Be omnipresent. We've talked about that and that's like a really good format to have. I also wanted to let everyone know that we have officially launched matthewbertram.com and we will be starting a coaching program, mastermind program next year. I've had a lot of interest. I've been doing some coaching, kind of people knocking on the door and asking me to do it. We've turned in our service hours into kind of like a CMO program as well as now we're going to launch the full coaching program. We're opening it up to all existing clients to be part of it. And then if you're not a client, you still can have access to that. And you know, what are the benefits? You know, there's going to be some great networking opportunities with people outside of your space. There's going to be peer support, problem solving. I was shocked. I was shocked. I thought people would get on a call, ask me a bunch of questions, bring questions, you know, drain me for whatever information I had and then move on. And that is not actually what happened. There was constantly new questions, there was a good cadence, there was accountability. And so this has been very organic. And we don't sell big ticket coaching programs. That's not something we've ever done. So this is the first time we're going to do it. This is a pilot and so you're going to get tremendous amount of value. Once we get it figured out, we will raise the price. Okay. So I'm going to have a limited number of people that, that I'm going to allow in this. And once we figure it out, well, you know, you could, you could buy some of the information, but we give away a lot of the information. I think the customization of the problem solving to your situation is really where the value is. Like CMO insights to your business to keep you out of the ditch, to help you get the right programs to connect you with the right vendors. There's so much opportunity if you're looking to grow your business, sell your business, step out of your business and let your business run for you as an asset. Also AI. Right, AI, you need to have a trusted source. There's tons of people hawking all kinds of stuff out there. I have some of the best experts, I've gone to some of the best conferences and we're implementing this ourselves. Anything that I would share with you, we're drinking that Kool Aid too, so I can give you real world case studies. So education and skills development are a huge part of that. And you know, my goal is to help you think in the right way about situations, to train you to fish, to not just give you a fish, but like improve decision making I think will help you. And look, I've done everything wrong, okay? I've, I've, I've made every mistake in the book and I've learned from it. Failed, failed quickly hopefully and then moved forward and, and that's what's put us on this trajectory of growth. You know, I think that self development, always wanting to learn is the ethos of our company. And, and I'm looking for like minded people about that. I would even tell you we're probably going to start another little crypto coaching program as well. That's something that I am passionate about. It's something I think everybody should get involved with. I think you're going to start hearing it a lot more in the news. Just like the drones, right? Bitcoin, over a hundred thousand roi. Cost effectiveness. How do you look at your marketing and go is this profitable? Does this make sense? How do I evaluate it? Like you can go based on your gut feeling, you can go based on great presentations of what people say, but how do you look at the data? How do you build models? How do you make marketing investment? Right? How do you know when it's going to pay off? A lot of these things you can really figure out and you can get really, really good at attribution and you can really look at your bottom line and you can see that growth is happening. And, and that's really the power of marketing is to bring in predictable revenue where you can predict what's gonna happen, you can plan on it. It's investment, it's growth. And then we're gonna have a lot of exclusive opportunities. I'm gonna bring in people that would cost a lot of money to access. Keynote speakers, people in my network, people in EWR's network and people in Oggn's network. And I've been doing a lot of stuff over there. If you've checked out our oil and gas sales and marketing podcast, a lot of that podcast information is larger organizations, sales and marketing integration, not just oil and gas, not just people that want to reach oil and gas, but all people. They're really fundamental principles. And I have a lot of great people in my network from conferences. Like for example, the person that manages our G and B ran the GNB department for 10 years at Google. He actually presided over Google my business to Google business profile. Like would you like to have access to that person, Would you like to ask them questions? I know when I met him I certainly did. And great guy. And so, you know, these were the kind of people we're going to give you access to community. Right? I think everything in the future is going to be about community. I can tell you permission based marketing and community development and building an audience on different platforms on rented property. Right is the future. It's not about clicks, it's about reaching the right audience and speaking to them with a message and filling up not the clicks or your website, but their headspace. And I can tell you at Brighton, I didn't have to go all the way across the pond to go there. It was amazing to come to San Diego for the second year. The both keynote speakers, one was Moz and another guy over in the UK that I listened to. Both of them were speaking in this way. Clicks are going down, things are changing. How do you need to approach this? How do you need to access this? And I spent a lot of time networking with some of the other speakers and there's going to be some great people that you're going to have access to to bring you in. So, you know, depending on who signs up, we may have something separate for freelancers and agencies because how, how we communicate or what the issues might be might be a little bit different than small businesses. You know, I think that there's a lot of opportunity. We don't do everything amazing, okay, we do everything pretty dang good. We do some stuff absolutely amazing. And then I have other contractors, other agencies, I have other people in my network that I can call on to, to help a business grow. And I want to put you in touch with some of these people. And if you're some of these people, I want you to be part of the community of unknown secrets. So, you know, check it out. I have my book coming out too. Another book coming out. We're, we're actually using AI to take all the podcasts we've done, the 700 something podcasts we've done and turn it in a book and summarize it. Some of those best tips we're going to be going through that everybody's going to get a free copy of that can be signed if you want it to be. I'm not saying I'm a celebrity or anything like that, but want to give you access to the absolute best people want to find like minded people that want to grow, whether it be their agency or their small business. I think that there is so much opportunity in 25 and I want to wish you all the best. Absolute 2025 great Christmas, great New Year. Happy Holidays to everybody.
