On today’s podcast, we’re speaking with Thomas Fields, a former high school basketball star whose journey took an unexpected turn after multiple ACL injuries sidelined his dreams of playing in the NBA. Determined to stay connected to the sport he loved, Thomas taught himself mechanical engineering and created GRIND: the world’s first portable basketball shooting machine. Thomas’s setbacks became the foundation for his success as an entrepreneur. He shares how his challenges inspired him to innovate, leading to the creation of GRIND and an appearance on Shark Tank. Today, GRIND is revolutionizing basketball training, making advanced tools accessible to athletes everywhere. Thomas’s story is one of resilience, self-belief, and the power of transformation. Whether you’re an athlete, entrepreneur, or simply looking for inspiration, Thomas’s journey shows how embracing your inner light can turn obstacles into opportunities.

On today’s podcast we’re speaking with Miriam, who was diagnosed with stage three endometrial cancer several years ago. To help deal with the side effects of chemotherapy while preparing for the inevitable, Miriam dedicated herself more than ever to her practice of positive thinking and self-love. Looking back, she is certain she would not have recovered without her spiritual practice. When Miriam suffered a brain aneurysm a decade later, she knew the only way to get her health back was to recommit herself to the practice. Today she meditates daily and, through diet, exercise and positive affirmations, has lost 100 lbs. and is as healthy as ever. Miriam is excited to share her story of the power of self-love with those recovering from illness, and anyone who wants to live with more inner peace and joy.

Today on Shine Your Light we’re going remote to sunny St. John’s Island in the US Virgin Islands! Gil joins Monica, a yoga teacher and former fashion model, near her home in St. John’s (while Stacie joins on zoom). Monica tells about her spiritual awakening following a major life crisis and how, through total acceptance and divine connection, she came out the other side with a completely fresh outlook on life.

Ed is a master energy healer, a breathwork coach and trainer, and a former teacher at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing Science. Through years of experimentation with various methods, Ed created his own breathwork method which helps his clients experience deep, meditative relaxation and has physical and psychological benefits. When he’s not practicing breathwork or energy healing, Ed is an insurance salesman and tells us about his spiritual journey and balancing everyday life with his more esoteric practices.

Jules de Gasparis, joining us from Southern California, is a musician, a recording artist, and an international DJ. He tells us about the time he spent in Belize among the Awavena tribe in the Amazon and gives us a raw look at his first time medicine journey and resulting life-changing experiences.

Shine Your Light tells stories of transformation and divine connection, in its many manifestations. We interview people who uncovered their inner light through energy healing, artistry, music, by surviving major health issues, and other obstacles and avenues. Many of our guests have been on a spiritual journey for decades, others are new to their inner light but most have faced serious personal challenges and come out the other side with a new outlook on themselves, a realization of unconditional divine love that exists within each of us -- the inner light -- and on existence as a whole.
