Whether you're a coach, a stylist or a wedding planner, if you've got a service based business to sell, this is the show you need to fill your calendar. I'm Jenna Warner, your new marketing coach and this is Shiny New New Clients. There is a huge opportunity right now for you to get way more views on Instagram when you use this brand new feature that was announced yesterday, August 6, 2025. I am bringing this to you as quickly as I can. There's a new feature on Instagram and before I started coaching yesterday, in my weekly magic marketing machine coaching call, I like to give a little lesson to everyone in the room. So yesterday I explained what was going on and everything we know about Instagram's new rep post feature, which admittedly is not very much. There's not a ton of information, but I can tell you how I think people are going to be able to start using it. And yesterday I posted something, it got a bunch of reposts and I think it got more views than it would have got otherwise. So this is a huge opportunity. I'm going to tell you all about it. I'm going to play you an edited recording of what I told my private clients yesterday. And when you get to the jingle at the end, that's an inside joke. I sing the jingle differently every time.
Susie (1:34)
And it's always flat.
Jenna Warner (1:35)
So just in case you think I'm.
Susie (1:36)
Totally tone deaf, I'm not.
Jenna Warner (1:37)
I will meet you at the end where we'll hear that jingle together.

Big changes coming to Instagram announced this morning by Adam Masseri. They call him the head of Instagram, which I think is a made up name, like a made up title because what even is head of Instagram? But he's definitely the face of Instagram and you can follow his account if you want. Adam Mosseri, Daddy Instagram. That's what I call him. Some people hate it, great. Hope they comment. And he's a great person to follow to get really mild mannered updates without, without making things feel crazy. He just like, here's the update, let's be chill about it. Anyway, they launched reposts, the ability to reshare content. This is actually very big. And you know what? My post that I put up today in my insights, I can now see how many people have reposted it. I Thought this was a good, a good time for us to re turn to the concept of creating shareable content. Shareable content. This is in your content brainstorm. There's a suggestion, and I think in the growth spurt as well, to consider what you can share that makes other people look good if they re share it. So sometimes this is a bit of a brain puzzle. Some of you might come up with something really quickly. Others, you know, just, just chew on it. Just look out for them when they come to you. But basically, the stuff that's going to get the most shares gives other people social currency. So think about what you share to your WhatsApp group with your friends or what you DM to like a friend. So like I might send Marissa something about like marketing psychology that I think is really interesting. And then I look good for thinking of like, for sharing this thing to Marissa because it's as if I told her, right? So then I get the social currency of look at this cool thing. When you're talking about public shares, a lot of the times this is going to be, we see this a lot with causes, like causes you're advocating for or humor, right? Because if somebody shares a funny meme and then you share that funny meme to your stories and then it makes people laugh, now you get the social currency of having made people laugh. You know what I mean? So what can you share that other people are going to share? People are not going to share a picture of your face. People are probably not going to share a carousel with you on the COVID of it because it's weird for me to put Suzy in my feed, right? But if it's just information, if it's a really strong hook, if it's funny, if it's something that you think that your ideal client's going to be interested in. So like also another example, what people, what? Your ideal client is not going to share industry insider information about your industry because they want to know what they want to know. Something that I share and that gets shared a lot in media social stories before the repost feature existed is small business owner inspo. You have a business even if it's small. You have a business even if it's new. Just because other people succeeded doesn't mean that you can't succeed as well or that the spot's gone. It just means that there's evidence you can do it too. Stuff like that people love to share because it makes them look good, it's inspiring, makes them feel good. Social currency. Okay, this is just a straight up. Repost to your feed. Different than a remix where you'd add to it? Yeah, I think so. But I'm telling you, this. This thing is minutes old, so I don't even know, but it sounds. Yeah, like repost on TikTok, where you just send that post out to your feed. There's a huge chance that a lot more views start happening right now, because in the past, Instagram either showed us stuff they thought that we would like, or we had to follow someone to see their stuff. Now you're going to be seeing stuff in your feed that your friends think that you might like or that your friends like. I don't know how this is going to go, but it's something to think about. And it's a new CTA that you can add. What can you share that your ideal client would be inclined to share with their friends? Tips and hacks that are, like, widely palatable, like travel hacks, Susie. I could see those being really shared because people want the social currency of being the one that told you how to get your bag checked for free.
