set up the wired doorbell pro and I'm not kidding, this thing is next level. The 4k clarity is insane. You can zoom in and still see everything super sharp. I can keep tabs on deliveries and see what's going on at the front door without stressing about it.
Sophie Cunningham
Same. And I've got the outdoor cam plus setup. Especially at night. That wide view and that retinal 2K video is super clear. So. So I can see what's happening around my place without guessing.

And if you really want to level it up, Ring's got 4K cameras and doorbells with retinal vision so you can zoom in and still keep all the important details sharp.

During real time last night, I did not see that happen. And I. And, like, I. I don't. None of our team saw it happen, because I promise you, if that. If we would have seen that happen, we would have had her back. Unfortunately, this type of shit happens every single game to her, and the league, and the refs do absolutely nothing about it.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Are we going
Jeff T
to.
Daniel Cormier
Hey, guys.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
20 weeks, episode 44 of the show Me Something podcast. Wait, also, I don't think your mic is on. I think it's coming through the speakers, but I don't think, like, who cares at this point?
Co-host or guest commentator
God, guys, we're in prime. We're in prime form. Episode 44.
Sophie Cunningham
Is this better? Is this better?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah, boy, that's fire. Do you want to talk about last night's game first, or do you want to talk about your meme that's all over the Internet first?
Sophie Cunningham
We'll go last night. We'll just get it over with. You know, we are not going to win very many games. When people score a hundred points on us and they average, I think, around 80 points, and we let them score, like, 111. Our defense is horrible, and I think everyone knows that. So, yeah, I don't know. We're. You know, I just. Like, sometimes the. The of a season, it's like you're. You're on a. You're on a high, sometimes you're on a low. When it's on the grind, we're in the grind right now. We just haven't, like, fully clicked yet. And, like, we have all the potential, so when we do, it's going to be really good. But, like, we're getting to the point of, like, all right, like, what has to give, what has to sacrifice. What do we need to do to actually even start tapping into that potential? So, I don't know.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I think so I won. I think other people would be curious about this. Obviously, anytime anything happens. Like, I don't even know if anyone got teed up. Like, they didn't review the foul on Caitlyn last night, did they? I don't think they did.
Sophie Cunningham
Insane.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
That's clearly what makes its rounds on social media. When you got teed up, that's what makes it around the social media.
Co-host or guest commentator
Yeah, does.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Like, when Cece does get kind of. I hate. I hate using the word bullied. But like, people are rough with her. Like, there's no other way around it. Does that like, with you guys as a team or is that just an incident that becomes a much bigger deal on the Internet than it does during real time?
Sophie Cunningham
Well, so during real time last night, I did not see that happen. And I, and like, I, I don't. None of our team saw it happen because I promise you, if that, if we would have seen that happen, we would have had her back. Unfortunately, this type of shit happens every single game to her and the league and the refs do absolutely nothing about it.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
It's been a minute since you got fined on this podcast.
Sophie Cunningham
I have. But then like, you see the videos of like literally kneeing and cheap shotting. See in the throat. Like, if she did that to any of our teammates, we'd be pissed. But like, they are. They're definitely targeting her and the league and the refs do nothing to protect her.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I, I mean, well, let's get into this now. The, the, the, the poster that they dropped last night, like the 30 year commemorative thing, which, that you're on it. That's cool.
Sophie Cunningham
Why would you ever put me on it?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
But people are up in arms that Caitlyn's not on it. And then also watching her get kind of her ass kicked last night, I, like, I do see everyone being like, why does the league not protect this person? It, like, I don't want to get in beef with Kathy either, but it's like, it is like she's jealous of her or like, thinks that like, because she's a bigger face than her or like anyone the WNBA has had that she like, won't give her the platform. It's so weird. It's so bizarre.
Sophie Cunningham
It is a joke. It is a joke. And this is why Kathy in the WNBA is getting lit up on social media, because you are leaving out a generational. The best player to ever go through WNBA on this roster. Like, and like, honestly, if they were smart, they would market the shit out of some of us. They don't.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Well, you're, you're on.
Sophie Cunningham
They don't. At least I should never. It's. That should be. That should be Caitlin. That should be Kelsey Mitchell. That should be Aaliyah Boston. Like, why are we putting random players on there? I'm one of them.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Do you know, do you know she has beef with other big people who aren't on this, like Diana or Sue, or like, I don't think Candace Parker's on here. Like, it is a Bit strange. There's just a lot of.
Sophie Cunningham
This isn't even. I don't. I don't know, dude. I literally don't know. But what we do makes no sense. But I. I'm not kidding. Like, even the people, they put on the commercials like they. They could. If they're really trying to make money, they are going to put people out there that, first of all, people want to see that people are going to bring attention to and they just don't. They just don't. They. I don't know what our. What. What their. What they think when all that happens.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah, it's a good question. Do we think the elbow 2cc was follow up from your tech the other night?
Sophie Cunningham
My tech was the weakest thing I've ever seen in my life. So let me take.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I'm gonna agree, actually. I think I've. I've seen you do crazier and that was a weak double tech on both of you for being honest, dude.
Sophie Cunningham
So what happened is. Damn. She's always involved. She's always involved in some stuff like get your together, sis. But she fouled and there's extra.
Guest or additional commentator
Really.
Sophie Cunningham
DB Is the one that did something extra. And then Caitlyn got the text. So I walked out there and I was literally talking to the ref. Say your. Say your DB I was like this with rep. I was like, now Caitlin got one, but why didn't she get one? Because if. If Caitlin's gonna get one, then she should have got one. It shouldn't have been one or the other. Like, And I was just kind of pointing and she's like, don't you. Don't you point at me. And I was like, oh, shouldn't have said that. And I didn't say a word.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Okay.
Sophie Cunningham
That's so stupid. Like, that is the stupidest thing I've ever done.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
It's the probably the number one meme, at least on Twitter this morning.
Sophie Cunningham
It.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Which is special.
Sophie Cunningham
I know, but like, I'm telling you, everyone's like, what? Like, that is so dumb. I think it's dumb. But like, I. It was pissing her off and like, I couldn't help myself. I could not. She was losing her. And all I was doing was literally pointing.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah, but it's good though. And I. I think because everyone knows you're like kind of a talker and like, not. I guess like the word mischievous is fine, but like, because it was you, I think it just. It plays better on the Internet.
Sophie Cunningham
But I think what agreed. And another thing is to why it played so. Well is because I literally did not say a word.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Say word. Yeah. That was. That was honestly impressive by you. It's just a face and a. And a point.
Sophie Cunningham
You should have seen the shirts last night. Like. Like, it. People are hilarious. People are like, really mean to sometimes. But, like, people are so creative and funny. It kills.
Daniel Cormier
It's just.
Co-host or guest commentator
Gosh.
Sophie Cunningham
I know. Oh. Oh, I know. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Oh, that's good. Oh, okay. I just scrolled up. Did you see what the Mercury tweeted?
Sophie Cunningham
No.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
This is going to make you mad. It says, do you want a piece of this? And it's someone on the. And it's on the ground. I always fun when you get to play the Mercury, huh?
Sophie Cunningham
So fun. You know what's funny though, that I know people in their own organization that, like, nobody likes their team this year. They say that they are like the unfriendliest group. So we're not the only ones who feel that way. Internal people feel that way too. Let me get my rocks off. But anyway, highest 3 point percentage in the WBA since joining the Fever game.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
And for those just listening. For those just listening. Sophie has the highest 3 point percentage in the WNBA since joining the Fever. That's pretty electric. Okay. Steph.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah. But I need a. I think I. I've been kind of not shooting the ball so well so far this year, but I think I'm starting to heat up a little bit.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
You probably have the highest 3 point percentage out of anyone who wears long sleeves. W. And NBA.
Sophie Cunningham
I like that.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
That. That should be. You should get a plaque for that. Or like a trophy.
Sophie Cunningham
There's a stat for everything nowadays. We could find something.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I'm good at wearing long sleeves and shooting the rock, it sounds like. And getting teed up.
Sophie Cunningham
I like that. That's a good.
Co-host or guest commentator
Oh, do we say sorry. 15th in all star voting.
Sophie Cunningham
Oh, let's go.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I. I voted this morning because the Fever tweeted the meme also and it was like all star voting again. Fever with a classy post.
Sophie Cunningham
Yes.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Using the meme and linking all star voting. So I hopped on.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah, but I think like a B. Caitlin and Kels are all. All up there. That's great. That's great. They should be. And we're not even, like, playing good basketball yet, which blows me.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Right?
Sophie Cunningham
It's driving me nuts. Driving me nuts.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
You think it's just gonna happen overnight one day? Or is. Does there need to be a little. Like, what do we need a little Players only meeting Players only practice or like. Or you just need to get your ass kicked and like really have a wake up game. Like what in your time playing in the W or even college. What, like what really turns the tide to you in like in a rough patch?
Sophie Cunningham
I think a really good one, a come to Jesus meeting or two, a good team bonding. A good team bonding experience that could be like a fun laser tag, something
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
like Toy Story 5 sometimes.
Sophie Cunningham
I'm not kidding, sometimes you just have to get away from basketball because like we invalid this is our job. So I'm not complaining. But we, we practice a lot and our practices are a little long and sometimes you just need to get away from it. And so yeah, maybe we should try both a team bonding and then balance.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Soph, could you maybe be a captain in this situation and like organize something, something fun in Indianapolis, like maybe a big dinner reservation in the downstairs of St. Elmo Steakhouse?
Sophie Cunningham
Dude, I. That's fun. We're about to go on like a 14 day road trip to the west coast and I think we're gonna do. We're gonna do some fun stuff as a team because we go to Vegas, la, Phoenix, Vegas. So like we have some fun stuff planned and I think that would be really good for us.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
You know what if you guys just got absolutely buckled at a, at a in the casino in Vegas and everyone misses curfew and you guys lose by 35.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah, we don't have curfew. But you know, it's funny you say that because in Vegas when we knew we played this was when I was with Phoenix. In Vegas, when we knew we made playoffs, we always played like our last game up there for some reason. Like, it's just how the schedule worked and we would always have a huge team dinner and just get like everyone was just like drinking, eating out till 4am and then we had to play the next day. But it was just like a tradition. Sometimes we won, majority times we didn't. But like it was just like a, like a little kumbaya before playoffs started and it was so fun. So I'll try anything at this point with this team.
Co-host or guest commentator
When you talk about like the team dynamic in the locker room. So I know that it's only like your second year here with the team, but you've also been in the league for like eight years. Like, do you consider yourself the vet on this team or is that like Kelsey's role or like who kind of embodies that? Like, you know.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah, that's a good question. And the thing is our team really likes each other. Like we Said we all have our moments at times, but we. We really have a nice team that loves each other, and so that's nice. But I would. The vets on the team would be me, Kels, Ty, and Mo. Monique Billings. So we. Oh, and Myesha. But I would say I. Probably the most.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah, I. I love when a team has a vet bench player who like that. I just think that's so healthy for someone on the team to, like, absolutely own their role.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
And, like, mentor people. Like, I. I think it, at least visually, as someone who watches basketball, when you see someone who's like, watching Harrison Barnes on the spurs all playoffs, like, probably gets like, literally maybe six minutes a game. Like, probably and. But like. Like, just in the center of every timeout, like, first person to dap people up when they come off. I think that is the. At least from a fan's perspective, that looks so healthy.
Sophie Cunningham
It is.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
When you watch like. Like bench players who are. Are vets and like, team leaders. I think it's awesome.
Sophie Cunningham
And I think right now, at this point in the season, I think Ty Harris is that she is a calm, steady voice. She has great things to say. She's always hyping people up. She's honest with people, and she has a. She has a. When she speaks, people listen. And I appreciate that about her. So I love her.
Jeff T
Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah. But I think you're right. I think that. I think people who own their role and are good at their role is so underrated. And in championship cultures, it is. They. People are celebrated for that, but not championship. People just feel like they're not seen. So. I'm glad you said that.
Guest or additional commentator
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Fuck yeah, dude.
Sophie Cunningham
Okay, not to be dramatic, but my JLF headphones have basically become my personality trait at this point. They are on me 24 7, and
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
somehow the battery just refuses to quit. Like, I keep waiting for mine to run out, and they're just like, nah, we're good.
Sophie Cunningham
And let's talk sound. These are super clear, crisp, and plenty loud.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I use the over ear pair on flights, and I'm telling you, game changer. Great for listening to your favorite podcast.
Sophie Cunningham
So whether you're locked in at the gym or vibing out to your favorite song, they've got something for you.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Headphones, earbuds, wireless speakers, and more. You get premium features without paying premium prices.
Sophie Cunningham
Look for the blue box at Walmart, Target, Best Buy and more, or use code something on jlob.com or for 20% off your order. Enough WNBA talk, dude. I need to hear about this whiteboard video, I have not had time to watch it, but I saw it pop up like right before the game yesterday.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
And I was like, yeah, I kind of did it reluctantly, but I've been doing that. I've been doing those for like three years. So we. This sounds so stupid, but, like, we talked forever. Like, I either I do it with them. They couldn't skip it either because. Yeah, like, they do to everybody. We've made fun of so many people in so many shows that, like, they have to do the Summer house and I have to, like, take my licks for that one. So basically I just showed up and sat there and like, let him roast me. We recorded for two hours and it. It was like a. It's like a 25 minute cut or something. What? Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
Two hours?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
Dude, you know what? I. I feel. And like, we get into it just like the whole summer house departure thing. But, like, I think you're right. Like, it's time to move on. Yeah, it's time to like, it's time to. To.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
It's been a journey. It was funny, but so we did it.
Sophie Cunningham
And now it's time for everybody to move on.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
And now this summer because obviously we're taking a little time out. Like, I'm not filming this summer, which I think ultimately the right thing for everyone. We can all.
Sophie Cunningham
Yep.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Everyone can, like, take a breather. It wouldn't have been a fun summer for literally anyone.
Sophie Cunningham
And now you get to officiate weddings.
Jeff T
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah, I. Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
So other fun things to do.
Co-host or guest commentator
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Well, July and August now I like, will be able to go to weddings for the first time. So. See on the dance floor. But I did officiate a wedding last weekend. First time. She's so sweaty.
Sophie Cunningham
Really? No, I did not think.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Well, I was like, I was outside and like, I was public speaking. The weirdest. Have you ever officiated a wedding?
Sophie Cunningham
Now we are supported by ring. With ring. It's protected.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
So I just set up the wired doorbell pro. And I'm not kidding, this thing is next level. The 4k clarity is insane. You can zoom in and still see everything. Super sharp.
Guest or additional commentator
Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
And I love that you can actually talk through it too. Like if I'm expecting a delivery or someone swings by, I don't have to run to the door. It's that easy.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
And the details it picks up are wild. Between the motion alerts and the low light quality, you're not guessing what's going on. It just tells you.
Sophie Cunningham
I've been using the outdoor cam plus around My place, especially at night. And it's so clear. The wide view, the retinol 2K video. You can see everything around your yard without missing anything. And I don't have to rely on my dog to be on the lookout anymore, even though he's such a good boy.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
And if you want to go even bigger, Ring's got 4K cameras and doorbells with retinal vision. So you can zoom in and keep all those details super crisp.
Sophie Cunningham
For me, it's just peace of mind. Whether it's deliveries, my car, or just my space. It's nice knowing everything's covered without it being complicated.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Exactly. It just fits into your day and makes things feel handled.
Sophie Cunningham

Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
So like, it's weird because people don't clap, so there's no segue. Like when you, when you finish a segment. Oh yeah, no one makes noise and then you have to take a breath and then you just keep talking. There's no acknowledgment about like, what you were saying.
Sophie Cunningham
Yep.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
So you do like a very generic intro and then I did my, like my portion That I, like, wrote, which was, like, a short story, how I met them, like, recognizing, like, the love that, like, both of them have for each other.
Sophie Cunningham
You were really good at that, though.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I got a lot of compliments after.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
And they were like. Not to, like, toot my own horn, but you can tell when compliments are like. People are like, good job, or they're like. They stop you, and they're like, it was so good. We, like. We thought it was beautiful. I felt. I felt good after I was done.
Sophie Cunningham
But that is, like, I'm not surprised. Like, you're good at that type of stuff.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah. So then. Thank you. But so then. Then there was a poem, and then I did vows, and then. Well, so also, these are, like, the chillest dudes of all time.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
It's two. It's two men. And they're, like, so nonchalant about everything. And so at the end, I was like, okay, well, like, typically, it's like, husband, wife. Like, do you want me to say husband? Husband, Husbands? Now you're married. Like, you make like, Mr. And mister. Like, there's so many variations. Like, I swear to God, I saw them the day before, and they're like, do whatever you want. And I was like, guys, tell me what. No, I need to do.
Sophie Cunningham
I need help. What did you end up saying?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I think I said, I now pronounce you husbands.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
And then. And then got out of the way, and. And then they kiss, and then they walk down. But I was like.
Daniel Cormier
I was like.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
They were like. They were like, just do whatever you want, bro. And I was like, you guys, tell me what the to say for this right now. I am not freestyling.
Sophie Cunningham
Oh, I. That's valid. Yeah, that's valid.
Daniel Cormier
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I was like, I don't want to. I don't want to make this up. And then the. The wedding planner, I was like, where do you want me to keep the rings? He was like, what I usually tell people to do is just wear them so that then you can, like, pop them off and hand them to them instead of, like, digging in your pocket or whatever. So I was on stage with the wedding rings on my pinkies.
Sophie Cunningham
Like, I was gonna say, did they even fit your hand?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Or, like, where did I put it? One was on my pointer. One was somewhere else. Yeah. And, like, so I had, like, four rings on and just look, like, cleaned out with their wedding rings. I'm waiting for the pictures. It'll. I think it's gonna be.
Sophie Cunningham
So where was it?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Kev, can you pull up Biltmore State, Asheville, North Carolina. It's the largest home in the United States, I believe.
Sophie Cunningham
Who are these guys?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Well, one of them is. Is related to the chief's owner, Clark Hunt. His mom is a Hunt. So they're.
Sophie Cunningham
Well, there. There you go.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
They're big Chiefs fans, though, which is dope. So it was on that wall.
Sophie Cunningham
My stunning. Wow. That looks like it belongs to, like, some countryside in Europe. A big old castle. Wait, did you get to stay in the castle?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
No, they had. There's, like. There's, like, hotels, like, kind of like, right by the property. But it's really pretty now. Yeah, it was. And weather was great.
Sophie Cunningham
Oh, wow.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah. And so then it. Then, like, the back side of that is, like, a massive, like, terrace that overlooks the Smoky Mountains, you know?
Sophie Cunningham
Stop it.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah, it's pretty sick. That's inside.
Guest or additional commentator
Wow.
Sophie Cunningham
Holy cow.
Guest or additional commentator
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah. It's good stuff. And then the reception, they used, like, red drapes, and it was like this. The room was like, it. It was all just red. Like, obviously, it was a very nice wedding, and it was. It was dope. But now the officiated one, so if anyone needs anyone. I like it. Oh, and they. They had an air. Oh, this is their. Their cake was arrowhead.
Guest or additional commentator
What?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah. Isn't that awesome?
Sophie Cunningham
How do you know these people?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I met them, like, two years ago. They came. They came to my house in New York when the Chiefs played the Giants, and I put them on a bus with, like, Heidi.
Sophie Cunningham
Is that when you were with Heidi?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah. Yeah.
Guest or additional commentator
Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
That's fun.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
But now, you know, I got another wedding in Montana in, like, two weeks, and then one in. Or like, it's gonna be a wedding summer, which is fun.
Sophie Cunningham
You know what? That is so fun, though. That is, like. And maybe that's what you need.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah, you probably. You don't get to go. You don't. Your wedding availability is nothing.
Sophie Cunningham
Zero. Zero. I. Yeah. It kind of sucks, though, because I feel bad because I do think, like, my close, close friends, they try to schedule around my time, but I really. A lot of my friends are freaking married now. I don't know why I said freaking good for them.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What about you? So I'm, like, a lot of our high school friend. Like, my friend group isn't like, two or three are. But a lot of them are single. I would say my college teammates a lot are married.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah, dude. I think. But even. Not even, like, the wedding pieces that you miss. But, like, going. I always want to go to, like, the northern states in the summer. Because I don't, like, really want to go. So cold. What?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I'm flying to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, today.
Sophie Cunningham
That's what I'm talking about.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
But that's the place where you. You know, the bar owner, remember?
Sophie Cunningham
Yes, it's.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
Here, it's. I have it. You need to go.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I. I will.
Sophie Cunningham
It's called. Her name's Jess.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Jess.
Sophie Cunningham
Oh, champs. Champs. Dude, you're. Your brother knows. Is that who you're gonna go see?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah, it's him and his girlfriend. Yeah, she has a house there.
Sophie Cunningham
Dude, that is so fun. Champs.
Guest or additional commentator
Okay.
Sophie Cunningham
I love it. And go say hi to Jess.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Deal?
Sophie Cunningham
Deal.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Deal. Deal. But yeah, the northern states in the summer.
Co-host or guest commentator
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Best thing you could ever do. You gotta go to Montana, dude.
Sophie Cunningham
I know. I just don't have our season.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I know.
Co-host or guest commentator
Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
It stinks. But I do think, actually we get. Because there's.
Tony Ayo
It's called.
Sophie Cunningham
It's. Is it worlds? I think it's like, worlds for basketball this year. And so we. We get two weeks off in September. So I think I'm gonna go to, like, the lake, the Ozarks, and maybe I'll, like, go to Montana for a couple days.
Jeff T
If.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Obviously, if you do, you better hit your boy up.
Sophie Cunningham
Duh. Dude, that'd be so fun. Oh, my gosh.
Jeff T
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah. Somewhere in Montana. There's Nothing better. Like 80 degrees, no humidity. Sun sets at 11:30pm so good. The mountains are, like, purple. It's like, just.
Sophie Cunningham
Wait. Do you think. Do they have great lakes up there? Like, fun lakes?
Co-host or guest commentator
The.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah. Flathead is like, the one everyone goes to, but the state is so big that there's like a. A zillion of them. And there's probably two boats on them at a time, you know?
Sophie Cunningham
Wait, so how would you compare the Montana lakes to the Ozarks? Or is it just two different vibes?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Flathead Lake is like the Ozarks, where it's like. That's where everyone goes. But Flathead is like the Ozarks is. You know how they call it? Fingery? Like, it's like a bunch of like.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Like, coves. And Flathead is just a big lake, like, so there's like one sandbar where everyone goes. But it's less like docky party and more like people have fancy houses kind of in the mountains. And then you go, like, drop your boat in and then go back to the house where the Ozark says, like, you. The only way you're gonna get anywhere is like being on a boat.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah. Okay, that makes sense. Yeah. Oh, that sounds fun. Gosh, I love a lake. I miss a lake.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah, but Kev, what do we got? Pop culture wise, dude, World cup obviously
Co-host or guest commentator
has been taking storm everywhere. It's been popping. And while they've been some highlights on the field, off the field, there has been justice. The Peruvian police arrested a small time drug dealer and big time soccer fan. That's Pachichi. He was arrested by Clutch the eagle and Maple, the moose mascot. Police. No, no, I swear to God. This is real. Yeah, ESPN reported this. So they wore these costumes to like walk around and get close to him, like, you know, like around his people because he was like a big soccer fan. And then they apparently like made the arrest. I would say the vests and the badges worn here are probably an after picture because I think that would blow the disguise if they were in mascots in police vests.
Guest or additional commentator
But.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
But yeah, this is so unserious.
Sophie Cunningham
Oh, my gosh.
Co-host or guest commentator
This is the Peruvian police. They're doing. They're doing a good work over here. And in the past, they've also made previous arrests. They were also in Valentine's Day, they wore this turtle bear costume. They made another arrest. Yup. So it's not their first time doing these like costumed endeavors. But do you guys think this is a waste of the Peruvian taxpayers money? Like, do you think you need these giant escots, like to make arrests?
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yes. You have to keep them. Like, I think in a world where everyone's like, like, I just think cops are so associated with just negativity. I think putting them in big friendly bear costumes and making them feel like lovable and safe is there.
Sophie Cunningham
I like that.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Great.
Daniel Cormier
Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
Hey, speaking on that, I have seen so much on my social media of like everyone around the world actually celebrating. And I know that America is not perfect, but they are celebrating every little thing about like the cities, but like also the small towns that they're in and like cops are playing, you know, they're juggling with, with fans and stuff like that. Like, I have absolutely loved people from foreign countries coming here and saying, like, how great our country is. And I was like, you know what? Hell yeah.
Tony Ayo
The.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Kev, pull this up. The note that the Boston Globe wrote to Scottish fans will like, make you cry. It was on the front of their paper and it's so wholesome and, and respectful. Oh, it's so cute. It says, dear Tartan army, you came to the World cup but gave us something more for a week. You turned train stations into sing alongs, Fenway into a football ground. And an ordinary June. It is something we'll talk about. For years, Boston has hosted championships, parades, and celebrations of every kind of. But we've never hosted guests quite like you. Thank you for the laughter, the bagpipes, and all of the memories. The World cup will move on. So will the songs. But we'll never forget the joy you brought to our city. That makes me want to cry. That is so West.
Sophie Cunningham
Everyone, everyone is saying that about their cities, like every country that they go to and it's like, they're not always in the city. Sometimes they have to, like, stay in, like, maybe a little smaller town because, like, the hotels and stuff and people are like, falling in love with neighborhoods like the Southern Living. Like, it has been so wholesome to see people, like, celebrate us for once because, you know, we both know social media can not always tell the full story of things, but it's been really cool. I've loved it. I've loved it.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
No, I think it's great to see. I think a lot of people were scared just because obviously there's so many valid things happening in the United States. But like, I.
Daniel Cormier
The.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
The content from this World cup, even, even Mexico and Canada, like, the Koreans have been playing most of their games in Mexico and like, all the videos of like Korean people getting wasted in like, Guadalajara and stuff, like, it's so fun. But the best video ever. I don't know if you guys saw it. A bunch of Norway fans were at Citi Field yesterday for a Mets game. The Mets gave up a three run home run. So obviously everyone's like, oh. And then. And. And it cuts to like, I swear to God, 200 Norway fans doing the Congo line because they have no idea what the going on. And it is like, it is. It's the funniest video I've seen in weeks.
Sophie Cunningham
Like, I love it.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
It's the best content ever.
Sophie Cunningham
So good.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
So ever.
Sophie Cunningham
I feel like we should host the World cup every. Every four years. Is it every four years?
Daniel Cormier
Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
This has been so. This has been so fun.
Sophie Cunningham
It's been cool. It's been cool to see our country come together. For real.
Guest or additional commentator
Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
Kind of the world come together in a way.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
But no, for sure. Oh, this.
Sophie Cunningham
Here it is.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
No, the pitcher's heads down. He's like rounding the bases and then they just cut. It's.
Sophie Cunningham
I love it.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Awesome.
Sophie Cunningham
I love it. So funny.
Jeff T
Dude.
Sophie Cunningham
They're. They're just so happy.
Guest or additional commentator
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
And like, no, a bunch of Norwegians at a Mets game is, like, just as funny and wholesome. And like, everything about this has been so great.
Sophie Cunningham
Great.
Jeff T
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Okay, wait, full screen. This. This is so hilarious. So funny.
Sophie Cunningham
So good. That is hilarious. That's actually funny as. Yeah, that's funny. I love that.
Co-host or guest commentator
Well, I was gonna say one more from the World cup, maybe. Guys seen people are smuggling ranch. Like, apparently all the foreigners. Oh, for the first time. I love it.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah, I heard about that.
Jeff T
I love that.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Beautiful.
Co-host or guest commentator
All right, guys, last World cup joined here. Shout out to usa. You're playing, like, really well. Yeah, right. This is the best team that we've ever put out there.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
So also, you know, if. If Portugal and Argentina advance the way it's looking like they are going to, they will play at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
Sophie Cunningham
Oh, that's cool.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Which will be probably. It'll be like. I mean, soccer people will say it's the biggest event to probably ever been played at Arrowhead, but it's like pretty nuts that. Yeah, that could happen.
Sophie Cunningham
And we. We have a Brazilian on the team. So, like, we've all been kind of like going back and forth, but it's been fun. But honestly, I've really enjoyed watching the. The World Cup. And Messi, I know he's not usa, but he's been kicking ass. He's so good, you guys.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Oh, that first game was fucking crazy. That was at Arrowhead, too. Three goals. It's nuts.
Sophie Cunningham
I think they have like five goals and he scored all of them so far.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah, this is correct.
Sophie Cunningham
Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
I feel like Lexi played soccer. Is she too tall?
Sophie Cunningham
No, she. I think. No, Lex did. Lexi C. I feel like Grace did. I did. Yeah. I feel like. Yeah.
Host (possibly a sports or pop culture podcaster)
Yeah. You guys are all athletes, huh?
Co-host or guest commentator
Yeah.
Sophie Cunningham
Try wannabe athletes. Wannabe FIFA stars.

Podcast: Show Me Something
Hosts: Sophie Cunningham, West Wilson
Release Date: June 27, 2026
Duration: ~40 minutes (main content 02:40–37:29)
In this candid, fast-paced episode of "Show Me Something," WNBA star Sophie Cunningham and best friend West Wilson dive deep into the controversy swirling around rookie phenom Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever's defensive woes, and ongoing frustrations with league officiating and marketing. Listeners also get a lively mix of locker room insight, memes, and lighter banter about weddings and pop culture, making for a fun digital happy hour with an unfiltered edge.
Sophie’s Outrage Over Lack of Protection for Clark
Sophie expresses deep frustration that neither referees nor the league do enough to protect Caitlin Clark from targeted, rough play.
"Unfortunately, this type of shit happens every single game to her, and the league, and the refs do absolutely nothing about it."
— Sophie Cunningham (02:41 / 05:08)
Locker Room Reaction
Sophie clarifies that no Indiana Fever player saw the specific incident in real-time; otherwise, they’d have stepped in to defend Clark.
"None of our team saw it happen because I promise you, if we would have seen that happen, we would have had her back."
— Sophie Cunningham (02:41 / 05:08)
Referee Inconsistencies & Tech Explanation
Discussion around a recent double-technical:
"My tech was the weakest thing I've ever seen in my life."
— Sophie Cunningham (08:08)
Sophie describes a moment where she was penalized merely for pointing at a ref, not for saying anything:
"All I was doing was literally pointing."
— Sophie Cunningham (09:10)
The incident went viral as a meme.
Lack of League Marketing Savvy
Sophie and West lambast the WNBA’s promotional decisions, particularly Clark’s absence from a 30th-anniversary promotional poster featuring less prominent players (including Sophie herself):
"You are leaving out a generational—the best player to ever go through WNBA—on this roster... If they were smart, they would market the shit out of some of us. They don't."
— Sophie Cunningham (06:35 / 06:58)
Defensive Struggles & Locker Room Chemistry
Sophie calls out the Fever’s defensive failings and the need to "click" as a team, suggesting possible solutions like a "come to Jesus meeting" or enjoyable team outings.
"We're in the grind right now... We have all the potential, so when we do, it's gonna be really good. But we're getting to the point of like, alright, what has to give, what has to sacrifice?"
— Sophie Cunningham (03:46)
Veteran Roles & Team Culture
Discussion of the importance of veteran leadership, even from the bench:
"People who own their role and are good at their role is so underrated. And in championship cultures...people are celebrated for that."
— Sophie Cunningham (16:22)
Camaraderie and Team Bonding Ideas
Sophie notes plans for bonding during the team’s West Coast road trip, loosely inspired by past Phoenix Mercury traditions of team dinners and late-night fun.
"Sometimes you just have to get away from basketball...maybe we should try both—a team bonding and then balance."
— Sophie Cunningham (12:51)
Technical Foul as Meme
Sophie’s infamous technical ("just a face and a point") becomes Twitter’s top meme that morning, with fans even making themed shirts.
"Everyone's like, what? Like, that is so dumb. I think it's dumb...She was losing her shit and all I was doing was literally pointing."
— Sophie Cunningham (09:11)
All-Star Voting
The Fever piggyback on Sophie’s meme moment for an all-star voting push; Sophie’s teammates—Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, Aaliyah Boston—are doing well in the voting despite the team’s uneven play.
Animosity Toward League Office
Sophie and West openly criticize WNBA President Kathy Engelbert’s promotional choices, speculating on possible jealousy of Clark’s fame.
"It's like she's jealous of her...or thinks that, like, because she's a bigger face than her or anyone the WNBA has had, that she won't give her the platform. It's so weird."
— West Wilson (06:03)
Frustration Over Promotion Decisions
Confusion and anger that core stars are regularly overlooked for major marketing pushes in favor of "random players."
West’s Officiating Adventures
West shares stories about officiating a wedding for friends connected to the Kansas City Chiefs owners at the grand Biltmore Estate.
"I now pronounce you husbands."
— West Wilson (23:23)
Summer Weddings & Lake Destinations
Discussion of summer travel to weddings in Montana and Lake Geneva, wistfully contrasting rare time-off for players with the endless demands of the WNBA season.
Comparison of Montana Lakes vs. Lake of the Ozarks
"[Montana's] Flathead Lake is like...the Ozarks is...you know how they call it fingery? Flathead is just a big lake."
— West Wilson & Sophie Cunningham (28:59)
World Cup Fever—Soccer & International Guests Celebration of how World Cup visitors are giving America "wholesome PR," anecdotes about Peruvian police mascots, and soccer fans livening up U.S. ballparks.
"I've absolutely loved people from foreign countries coming here and saying how great our country is...It's been so wholesome to see people celebrate us for once."
— Sophie Cunningham (31:11)
Highlighting Standout World Cup Moments
Ranch Dressing Goes Viral at World Cup
Laughter over foreigners "smuggling ranch" and embracing American food quirks (34:46)
On Caitlin Clark & League Protection:
“Unfortunately, this type of shit happens every single game to her, and the league, and the refs do absolutely nothing about it.”
— Sophie Cunningham (02:41 / 05:08)
On Marketing Missteps:
"You are leaving out a generational—the best player to ever go through WNBA—on this roster... If they were smart, they would market the shit out of some of us. They don't."
— Sophie Cunningham (06:35 / 06:58)
On Meme Culture:
“Everyone’s like, what? That is so dumb. I think it’s dumb...She was losing her shit and all I was doing was literally pointing.”
— Sophie Cunningham (09:11)
On Veteran Leadership:
“People who own their role and are good at their role is so underrated...in championship cultures...people are celebrated for that.”
— Sophie Cunningham (16:22)
On America Hosting the World Cup:
“It has been so wholesome to see people, like, celebrate us for once...I’ve loved it.”
— Sophie Cunningham (32:21)
This episode balances candid criticism of WNBA leadership with laugh-out-loud personal stories, emotional team introspection, and feel-good summer banter. Sophie Cunningham’s unfiltered comments about the need for league protection of Caitlin Clark and better player marketing reflect deep-seated frustrations echoed throughout the women’s basketball world, while her and West’s rapport brings levity and plenty of behind-the-scenes flavor for sports and reality TV fans alike.
