Bob the Drag Queen
And I'm Monet X James.
Monet X Change
And this is Sibling rivalry.
Bob the Drag Queen
On this week's episode, we discover my love of Gatorade zero.
Monet X Change
We can smell your nappy pussy.
Bob the Drag Queen
And we found out what made mom say this.
Monet X Change
People who own like convenience stores, like, do you just love snacks? And we found out what made Monet say this.
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't care what I have to do. I'm going to eat. I'm not starving. I'm not missing no meal. What did you just put in that cup?
Monet X Change
Coke Zero.
Bob the Drag Queen
You're still a 00, girly.
Monet X Change
Yeah, I mean, yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
I think I've had so much Coke Zero that is just kind of not doing it for me anymore. Like, I don't like, something about the taste is, like, bothering me now. So I've shifted to Sprite zero, which is quite delicious.
Monet X Change
Well, I mean, in the best world, I will have a vanilla Dr. Pepper Zero. Right. They're few and far apart. I will take a Coke Zero. Honestly, Coke tastes weird now.
Bob the Drag Queen
You think regular coke tastes weird?
Monet X Change
I'm like, what is this?
Bob the Drag Queen
This is a lot spicy. It's good. It's good.
Monet X Change
It's just like. That's like a sugar factory.
Bob the Drag Queen
Canada Dry explosion in my mouth. Canada Dry zero. Sugar is a tea.
Monet X Change
And there's also certain candy that I can't eat. Bite into, girl.
Bob the Drag Queen
You have. Some of you have that nasty Gatorade zero. Gatorade zero is that. It tastes like spoiled drink. It tastes nasty. Right, Jacob?
Jacob
They sponsor this podcast, so.
Bob the Drag Queen
Do they. Yeah, Gatorade does.
Jacob
Yeah. We just got. We just got some ad copies from
Bob the Drag Queen
Them, I don't know.
Jacob
So do you want to say anything about Gatorade?
Bob the Drag Queen
Let me tell you something. Gatorade zero. The truth. You want some Gatorade? Gatorade zero is everything. They are. They're leading. They're leading the charge on the Zero Sugar podcast.
Monet X Change
Y' all are.
Bob the Drag Queen
See y'.
Monet X Change
All.
Bob the Drag Queen
This is what I'm talking about. This is what they do to me in this show. They make me crazy. Jamaican McCrazy.
Monet X Change
I like getting ready.
Bob the Drag Queen
Zero.
Monet X Change
I think it tastes. I mean, rotten drink is such a. That's crazy to say. It tastes like rotten drink is wild.
Bob the Drag Queen
If anyone out here has tried Gatorade zero, it tasted. And tell me, please comment below and tell me that that shit don't taste crazy. Also, Taco Bell needs to sponsor this podcast. The amount of people I've text and tweets and be like, girl, I ran to Taco Bell after that episode of Sipping Rivalry. We got to Taco Bell run us our money.
Monet X Change
I want to check. I mean, we did that of our own volition.
Bob the Drag Queen
I know. I still want to check.
Monet X Change
I don't think. I don't think you get checks for work. You are post. Post dated work.
Bob the Drag Queen
You know what I mean?
Monet X Change
They can.
Bob the Drag Queen
They can.
Monet X Change
They can if they want to.
Bob the Drag Queen
For sure they can prorate it. For sure.
Monet X Change
For sure they can. That's why you gotta secure the bag first. There's this video of this little girl. This little girl, like, what elementary school or what preschool did you graduate from? And she goes, they do not. My school did not pay me to promote them.
Bob the Drag Queen
Honestly, work, which part of me is
Monet X Change
like, I get when people are like, I'm not promoting nothing, but sometimes I'm like, I just want to talk about things I like.
Bob the Drag Queen
I know it's tough when you can get a bag for it, though.
Monet X Change
I'm. I'm really not that obsessed with money. I mean, money's fine, but I'm honestly, I'm not that obsessed with money. Like, I'm not like, I need to get money for everything. I only for. I don't. Never for free. I'm like, I like. And I will do it for free.
Bob the Drag Queen
I mean. But I think you're also in a place where it doesn't matter. Like, some people like, like, smaller creators. I was. I was hanging. I had a little tick tock hang with some other creators, and they were like, yeah, girl. Like, I won't say XYZ on my thing because, like, I know other creators that get $50,000 for a thing. And I'm. I'M I'm trying to get two.
Monet X Change
I've also just content. I've never been that obsessed with money. Never like that. I have just never like making. You know how people who like their. Their. Their thing they love is money. Like money's their, Their. Their hobby or like they, they get into the money doing jobs they don't care about because they just want to make money. And I've had jobs that are not crazy. I would wait at tables and stuff, but I actually like those jobs. I actually enjoy waiting tables. But, you know, some people, like, end up, like, opening up businesses they don't really believe in just because they just really want some money.
Bob the Drag Queen
Come on.
Monet X Change
We believe in. Speak for yourself. I believe in boma, but, you know, people just do like, I don't know, like, when you. When you see like a family that's like running a camera store, but none of them are photographers. No one in there does video stuff. There's like, I just. Family story. My great grandpa loved cameras. And now I guess I'm into cameras now.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, because in those people, in some of those families, it's become the family business. And like, so I think they're more tethered to keeping this thing that we have made function as a family as opposed to. We just love cameras. Like, this is something that we built from the ground up and my great grandfather worked really hard for. And I just like, they love being a part of the family business as opposed to just. I just like cameras.
Monet X Change
I'd rather do my own thing and then support my family by being around like, like, like people who own, like, convenience stores. Like, do you just love snacks?
Bob the Drag Queen
No, I think it's just a way to make. To make money to have a job.
Monet X Change
I understand. I just don't think that I could be the kind of person to do that. I don't. I could not be the kind of person who, who has a job for the sole purpose of making money.
Bob the Drag Queen
I mean, did you love vending machines? Is why you got a vending machine. Did you just love vending machines?
Monet X Change
To be clear, I got one vending machine.
Bob the Drag Queen
I mean, would you. It was a job. It was a vending machine.
Monet X Change
I thought it'd be fun. I did think it'd be fun, but
Bob the Drag Queen
did you love it?
Monet X Change
Ended up being more work, but I thought it'd be fun. Like, like, this is something I enjoy. Like, I didn't love restaurants. I didn't like, love restaurants, but I like talking to people. I liked working at the restaurant. I enjoyed those jobs. It was. It Was fun for me. Every restaurant I worked that I've enjoyed working there, to be honest, I think
Bob the Drag Queen
about the jobs I've had. I've only worked at hotels and drag and I taught and I liked all those things. Like, I liked working at a hotel. Honestly, my. My favorite hotel job was the Yale Club because it was at this fucking nice, like, four star hotel and restaurant. The food where it was so good. I was good friends with the chefs. They were like, they would like, make like all their fancy dinners and they would like always send me a plate downstairs. Working out. There are just so many mechanics in a hotel that makes it really fun to work there.
Monet X Change
Or like a job like going into crypto.
Bob the Drag Queen
I think it can be like selling cryptocurrency.
Monet X Change
Yeah. Or being a crypto dealer. I think that that is interesting, but not enough to be. My main. Like, my job is dealing in accounting. Crypto, tax law. We've already discussed. I don't care about tax law. Those kind of things are just like. The whole job itself is just centered around money. And I just don't love money. I mean, I need money. I have money and I use it to buy things. Sparkly cup. But I don't feel I have that much of an affinity for money. You know, people like, you know, like hustle culture, we gotta make that money. You know that. You know that kind of vibe.
Bob the Drag Queen
I know that. I know that. I'm just trying to think of, are
Monet X Change
you into the hustle culture thing?
Bob the Drag Queen
I'm not necessarily hustle culture to make money. I just like being busy and working. Like, even when I. Even when I come from a. Let's say sometimes I come from a tour and we're going, going, going. When I'm back for like one day, I'm like, okay, I gotta do something next.
Monet X Change
Well, you love what you do.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. It's not about, like making money. It's just like, I like being busy. I like doing my thing. That's what I like it. It's not about, yeah, I gotta. I gotta get to the bag, get to the money. But also some people come from circumstances where. And, you know, they didn't have a lot of money here. And I know, but. But they, it was, it was different for them. Some people, to quote Alicia Keys, she went to bed many nights just having white rice and honey. That was like her dinner all the time.
Monet X Change
I don't think that that is the reason why some people came from money. They just want a lot of money. Donald Trump came from money and just wants money. He just Loves money.
Bob the Drag Queen
That does exist. Also. There are a lot of people who just had a really tough time growing up. So, like, they don't. They don't ever want close to that or how'd that experience be for them or their children ever again? So they just work, work, work. And that's not my experience. I can't speak to that. I didn't grow up eating white rice and honey. They were not. There was never a night that I didn't know where my food or my meal was gonna come from. I never had the experience of not knowing what's gonna be for dinner. That wasn't a thing. So I can't speak to that. But I like what I work. Even when I worked at the work. Actually not too. When I worked at the. When I had a job, that wasn't my passion, my love. There are many times I was like, ugh, I don't wanna go to work. I hate going there. But then I would go and then it would be fin. It is okay for those feelings too. I don't love when I do drag every day. Sometimes drag is on my fucking nerves too. And you know. But I think it's just the human condition.
Jacob
Yeah.
Monet X Change
I think that I. I mean, I've definitely had nights where I didn't know I was going to eat, not as a child, but as an adult, where I was like, I do not know how I'm going to eat today. But I don't know, I just. I don't know, I guess I just never. I just don't have that. But I mean, I. I see the necessity for money. I just. I think I've never been able to really get into hustle culture, which is odd because I have always worked. Like since I've had a job, I've not. I've not been without a job.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah, I wasn't at a job my adult life.
Monet X Change
I mean, never more than like two weeks. When I moved. When I moved to New York City. Actually, I got a job pretty soon. I moved to New York City. I think I. Within like a week and a half. Maybe within a week. So I've never been more than like two weeks without a job.
Bob the Drag Queen
I've always worked. That's crazy. You just said. I just realized I've always. Since I've been 18, I've always had a job. I've always worked.
Monet X Change
That's crazy. You move to a new city, what do you do?
Bob the Drag Queen
I moved. I moved because I had a job. Like even when I got Portland. Yeah, in Portland. I moved to Portland For. For Portland. Offer to go.
Monet X Change
What about in Jersey?
Bob the Drag Queen
I was working at the Courtyard Marriott.
Monet X Change
Oh, so you transferred the job over to New York, right?
Bob the Drag Queen
A different property. Oh, yeah.
Monet X Change
I did not have a transferable job when I moved to New York City. I thought the Ruby Tuesday. I thought, they're gonna hire me. The Ruby Tuesday in Times Square, which, by the way, doesn't exist anymore. I thought, they're gonna hire me there. They were not interested in hiring me. I was sure I was like, when I get there, they're gonna hear that I worked at Ruby Tuesday in Columbus. They're going to be so impressed that I worked at the Ruby Tuesday on Victory Drive that they are going to just be like, well, obviously you're getting a job here in Times Square, buddy. Did not work out like that. And then I just spent, like, maybe, like two weeks trying to figure out what to do. Maybe not even two weeks. I can't remember how long it was, but I was definitely. I mean, it was. It could have been two weeks. I had. I had $700. So there's no way that $700 lasted
Bob the Drag Queen
me two whole weeks.
Monet X Change
That is not possible.
Bob the Drag Queen
Wait, so there were times as an adult where you didn't know where your next meal is going to come from?
Monet X Change
Oh, for sure.
Bob the Drag Queen
But if you always had jobs, how did you.
Monet X Change
Because I didn't have enough money.
Bob the Drag Queen
Because you were, like, trying to live in.
Monet X Change
Because I was also. Because. Bear in mind, when I was in college, I didn't live on campus. I never lived on campus since I left my mom's house. I've been paying rent ever since that day. So I was working at Chick Fil A, which paid the minimum wage at the time, $5.13 an hour. And also paying for school, paying for my rent and all my bills, and paying for food.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, not in New York.
Narrator/Advertiser
Yeah.
Monet X Change
When I first got to New York City, when I didn't have a job. When I didn't have a job for, like a week and a half. And I was, like, trying to figure out. But then I got a job at a restaurant. So I just go to food and eat. Even. Even on my day off, they would feed me. There's one of the great things about working at a restaurant, if you. But maybe not all corporate places like that. Some corporate places. I worked at Chick Fil a when I was in college, and they would let me come in and eat on my day off. I think the owner of the restaurant just felt bad for me, and he would just let me come and eat and Eat. I would live walking distance from the Chick Fil A and I would just go there and I would just eat and then I would go home.
Bob the Drag Queen
Interesting.
Monet X Change
But weekends were. Sundays were so hard. I could not figure out how to eat on Sundays. Cause I couldn't go to campus. So I would either go to my
Bob the Drag Queen
Sunday because they closed on Sundays.
Monet X Change
So I would go to campus and I would eat off my friends meal plans. So my friends, they had like a certain number of meal plans. They had a week, like 5, 7, 12 meals a week, depending on your meal plan. Right. And a lot of them were like, I don't even use all my meal plans. And I'd be like, okay, great. So I would eat off their meal plan and then I would go to work and I'd eat at work. And on Sundays I was like, I don't know what to do.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. Things that I was not going, I will go out. I would go without shoes. I would have went without gas in my car. Oh, baby, I'm going to eat.
Monet X Change
I didn't even have a car. I didn't even have a car to pick.
Bob the Drag Queen
I'll go eat. I'm going to eat. I don't. I don't care if I. Food has always been a priority in my life.
Monet X Change
It was not a priority. I just could not. What was I going to do?
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't care what I had to do. I'm going to eat. I'm not starving. I'm not missing no meals.
Monet X Change
You robbing.
Bob the Drag Queen
I would rob for food. You jump out. I would rob for food.
Monet X Change
You know what John Beljohn stole?
Bob the Drag Queen
Don't tell me that is. Is that from the musical Les Mis?
Monet X Change
Mm. Do you know what he saw?
Bob the Drag Queen
No.
Monet X Change
A loaf of bread to feed his family.
Bob the Drag Queen
And is that. When is that? And then. Why does the girl sing I dream the dream?
Monet X Change
So Jean Valjean.
Bob the Drag Queen
Eponine, no.
Monet X Change
Eponine. No. This is Fantine. Oh, Fantine. Okay. Jean Valjean stole a loaf of bread.
Bob the Drag Queen
Who's Hugh Jackman's character? Yes, Got it.
Monet X Change
Jean Valjean stole a loaf of bread
Bob the Drag Queen
to feed his family. Right.
Monet X Change
And then he was captured and he was put in jail for a very long time on a chain gang for stealing the bread. One night he breaks out of jail and he runs and he goes and he's on the run, and then he goes to this. This seminary. And then the priest is like, come in. It's okay. Come in. But then he steals the priest's silver and the priest catches him. And the priest is like, it's okay, no, actually that's not what happened. He steals the free silver.
Bob the Drag Queen
Jacob, go. Jacob's back there waiting to jump in.
Monet X Change
He steals the silver and he flees in the night, right? The cops catch him and they bring him back. And then they're like, good, Reverend, this man stole your silver. The reverend's like, no, he didn't.
Bob the Drag Queen
I gave him that silver.
Monet X Change
But that's not what happened. The reverend knows he stole it. He was like, no, no, no. I gave him that silver. Leave him alone. What he said was true. I did give him that silver. And then the cops left. He was like, now you can take this silver and you can become an honest man. So there you go. That's my gift to you. You can now be a good person. And then he takes the silver and then he somehow spends it. Hustle culture. He's. I don't know what he's trading, but he ends up buying a factory. And he now runs this whole factory.
Bob the Drag Queen
Steve, Bob, he needs money.
Monet X Change
And then when he runs the factory, he meets a woman named Fantine. Fantine.
Bob the Drag Queen
Who is Anne Hathaway.
Monet X Change
Yes, Anne Hathaway. Fantine has a daughter named Eponine. Eponine. And then she's sick and she's dying and she's like, please take care of Eponine for me.
Bob the Drag Queen
So why the fuck did she shave her head down?
Monet X Change
She sold her hair.
Bob the Drag Queen
Why was she dirty in the street?
Monet X Change
Because she got thrown out of the factory. Okay, so she got thrown out of the factory. Other girls were jeal. Okay, take a break or. Okay, well, I'll tell you more about
Bob the Drag Queen
it after this break.
Jacob
Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here from Mint Mobile. Now I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of
Bob the Drag Queen
unlimited Premium Wireless for $15 a month is back. So I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills, but it
Jacob
turns out that's very illegal.
Bob the Drag Queen
So there goes my big idea of for the commercial, give it a try@mintmobile.com
Narrator/Advertiser
Switch upfront payment of $45 for three months, $90 for six months or $180 for a 12 month plan required $15 per month equivalent to taxes and fees. Extra initial plan term only greater than 50 gigabytes. Me slow when network is busy. See terms.
Monet X Change
Okay, so she was thrown out of the factory because the other girls were jealous of her because she was very pretty and all that, right? So then the foreman throws her out. And then on the street she has it start turning tricks. She becomes a prostitute. Oh, she go home, she starts selling Pussy on the street. And then when she's selling pussy on the streets, this old lady's like, give me your necklace. And she's going on like, this necklace is really important to me. She goes, well, you need money, so give me the.
Jacob
You're doing in reverse. Do what you're doing in reverse. She doesn't want to become a prostitute, so she sells everything.
Monet X Change
She sells the necklace. She sells the necklace. And then she's like, this next means a lot. She goes, what do you want, money? You're broke. Do you want money or not? And she's like, okay, here's my necklace. And this old lady. Oh, I buy hair, honey, and your hair is giving bundles. Brazilian. And she's like, give me your money. Your hair. And then she cuts her hair.
Bob the Drag Queen
That's the line from my song. Thank you.
Monet X Change
Yes. Then she cuts her. I'm about to pull a U on you. And then she. That's good. And then she cuts her hair. And then she's out of stuff to sell. And she's like. She saw the teeth, too. That's right. Sheep. And then after she got rid of everything, she's like, well, I still got. So she starts selling, and then I think she got some sort of a vd, and that's how she passes away. That's not true. It might have been pneumonia, but I'm just. That's just.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, back then, everybody died of tuberculosis or some shit. Everyone's tb.
Monet X Change
Tuberculosis.
Bob the Drag Queen
Tuberculosis. That's what. That's how Mimi dies.
Monet X Change
Is that the Saint Lucian pronunciation?
Bob the Drag Queen
How do you spell it?
Monet X Change
Tuberculosis. Tuberculosis.
Bob the Drag Queen
Tuberculosis.
Monet X Change
Tuberculosis.
Bob the Drag Queen
That's. That's how you say it?
Monet X Change
It's tuberculosis.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, no, that's how y' all pronounce it. It's called tuberculosis in St. Lucia.
Jacob
That is how Fontaine dies, though, however, it's tuberculosis.
Bob the Drag Queen
If we say tuberculosis, I.
Monet X Change
Okay. Anyway, so what ends up happening is. So then Fantine passes away. Why am I giving you the entirety of the movie? I know.
Bob the Drag Queen
Your tummy lip is that.
Monet X Change
It's a really good play, but okay, it's the movie.
Bob the Drag Queen
Because if I watch the movie, that's
Monet X Change
as good as the play.
Bob the Drag Queen
See, I'm gonna be disappointed if I see the movie. Oh, is that.
Jacob
It's at.
Bob the Drag Queen
Who you telling me this?
Jacob
It's at.
Monet X Change
Were you talking Pantages at the Pantages seven months ago?
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, girl.
Monet X Change
Hamilton's at the Pantages.
Bob the Drag Queen
That's when it was Hamilton.
Jacob
Yes.
Monet X Change
No, I saw it at the Pantages like, seven months ago.
Narrator/Advertiser
Was it good?
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, that was the One you were telling me was really good.
Monet X Change
I was crying. I need to see.
Bob the Drag Queen
I need to see.
Monet X Change
I went with Taylor O'Rear. When I say buckets of tears. I was crying so hard. The girl who played Fantine, the woman who played Fantine was brilliant. I cannot remember her name for the life of me, but she was so good. She just pulled my heart out of my entire body. She was so. Yeah, she was like 21 years old. Oh, this girl was so good. She was amazing. Amazing. The guy, everyone. It was just such a great show. You have to go see the Natural.
Bob the Drag Queen
I know, but I. But it's an operetta, which I don't know. As an opera, you know, student. I don't know what makes an operetta an operetta. Can you look that up?
Monet X Change
Is anyone. That's like a little bit of talking?
Bob the Drag Queen
No, because you also. I mean, Porgy and Bess has a little talking too, but there are some. Like, for example, the Magic Flute. The Topple Flitter has a lot of talking in it. That's not called opera. It's called an opera.
Monet X Change
Oh, it's like talking.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah, they're talking.
Monet X Change
That's so interesting. This is what the composer gets to call it.
Bob the Drag Queen
What they want to call it. No, there has to be a rule. It has to be a rhyme or reason.
Jacob
An operetta falls somewhere between an opera and a musical. Like a musical, an operetta most often contains spoken dialogue as well as a song as well as song. Operettas are often satirical and witty and tend to be much shorter and less complex than traditional operas.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, working best is called an operetta. It is very long. There is dialogue in it.
Monet X Change
The magic Les Mis is not short.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah, Magic Flute is a long opera too. It's like three hours.
Monet X Change
I wouldn't know, but I've seen the national tour of Les Mis twice, I think 20 years apart, by the way.
Bob the Drag Queen
And it was good both times. Oh, well, that's what people say.
Monet X Change
Like one step is on the road
Bob the Drag Queen
for so long, they make it seem like, don't go see it.
Monet X Change
Because this show is. This was. This show was just one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life.
Bob the Drag Queen
How many national tours are going around at one time? Is it like I'm like 5? 5 at one time?
Monet X Change
Oh, you mean you have the same show?
Bob the Drag Queen
No, no, the same show.
Monet X Change
There's oftentimes a union and a non union cast.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, really?
Monet X Change
Same show.
Bob the Drag Queen
Which one's gonna be better?
Monet X Change
The union cast. The union cast, typically speaking the union cast. Because the union cast often has people from Broadway too, Right.
Bob the Drag Queen
In it.
Monet X Change
And you can't be non union on Broadway.
Bob the Drag Queen
Right?
Jacob
Well, I mean it's also just like in general, not performers wise even like I'm sure the non union cast of strong performers. But like in terms of budget and there's this. And also standards like non union performers are not getting like paid fairly. They don't have like, they have more intense show schedules and not as good healthcare. So like you're also watching actors who are running themselves ragged to do this show as well. So it's just not as high a quality show because it's not union.
Bob the Drag Queen
Is there a Broadway show that you don't want to get into that you want to do?
Monet X Change
Yeah, I want to do Jesus Christ Superstar. I want to play King Herod. I think I'd actually make a pretty good Ms. Hannigan.
Bob the Drag Queen
Would you do what? If you got offered the national tour, would you do a national tour?
Monet X Change
Maybe for Jesus Christ Superstar, but not
Bob the Drag Queen
from his hand again.
Monet X Change
That's too big of a role.
Bob the Drag Queen
It's too big of a role.
Monet X Change
Yeah, the traveling and doing that larger role. But King Hare is one song.
Bob the Drag Queen
Got it.
Monet X Change
You come on stage, you sing. He's in two scenes and he doesn't even have to be in the second scene. That's an opera.
Narrator/Advertiser
What's that?
Bob the Drag Queen
What's an opera?
Monet X Change
Jesus Christ is an opera.
Bob the Drag Queen
It's an opera. Says who? Why?
Monet X Change
Says Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Narrator/Advertiser
Why?
Bob the Drag Queen
Why is he going to opera?
Monet X Change
It's an opera. You fight him.
Bob the Drag Queen
Don't fight me. Is that what it's called? Jesus Christ?
Monet X Change
Or is an opera a rock opera?
Narrator/Advertiser
Different.
Monet X Change
A rock what?
Bob the Drag Queen
A rock and roll opera.
Jacob
There we go.
Bob the Drag Queen
Would you like to ask me a question? About what? I'm.
Monet X Change
I'm not done. Oh my God. Jesus
Narrator/Advertiser
Christ.
Monet X Change
And I. I would be. Okay, that's it.
Bob the Drag Queen
What about you? You're such a.
Monet X Change
Well, there was another one I have and I lost it.
Bob the Drag Queen
What show do you want to be in? I want to be Collins and Lambo. Mm. I would like to be the Wiz and the wizard of Oz.
Monet X Change
The Wiz. He told me that. That's so interesting. I. I don't see you as a wiz. I think you'd be a much better lion.
Bob the Drag Queen
No, I can't sing that role. I cannot sing that role. I don't know any of it. Cuz you've been singing.
Monet X Change
Say what you wanna, but I made a steak. Cause I'm a mean online and you can go where you're Gonna. But don't get in my way. Cause I'm a mean online.
Bob the Drag Queen
I can't sing it.
Monet X Change
Not everyone has the chops.
Bob the Drag Queen
So, Colin, that I just. Again, we talked about this before. I just don't know a whole bunch of musicals and. Which is. Which is so sad. Being some kid from New York City, I should know more about musicals, but I don't.
Monet X Change
You wanna be the genie.
Bob the Drag Queen
That's a big thing too. And I think that's a pretty high role too. See. Cause I come from opera. Opera. And when you get, like, celebrity guests in these roles, they change the keys. I know that's the thing. But in opera, it's not frowned upon. But, bitch, you're not supposed to be changing keys like that, bitch. The role isn't this key. Which is crazy because back in the day they used to change keys all the time. But it's become common performance practice. Like, no, it's this key. And you almost, like, look down upon her. Like, people are like, she can't sing the actual role.
Monet X Change
I don't understand shaming people who can't sing in the key. They used to be able to sing it. Like. Like when Idina Mizell was like, I can't sing this. I'm like, girl, know your limits. Like, you would not expect anyone in any other profession to. To perform at the level they did 20 years ago. There is no other physical profession.
Bob the Drag Queen
I agree.
Monet X Change
I would say physical.
Bob the Drag Queen
Professional wrestling.
Monet X Change
I want no one's.
Bob the Drag Queen
I want Stone Cold Steve Austin. Jesus would be doing the Stone Cold center now.
Monet X Change
No, he would. He would break his spine.
Bob the Drag Queen
And no one.
Monet X Change
But no one's expecting that. No one's expecting Hulk Hogan to come in and body slam Yokozuna at his ripe old Trump age.
Bob the Drag Queen
You better know. I mean, he shows a Trump supporter, yo.
Monet X Change
Yeah, but like, not. I mean, not literally. No, you're right.
Narrator/Advertiser
I don't know.
Monet X Change
I don't know why they expect this of singers. I don't know why it really irritates me. Specifically. Specifically Mariah Carey.
Bob the Drag Queen
Now you got.
Jacob
You.
Bob the Drag Queen
You get really.
Monet X Change
It pisses me off. I don't know why I get so heated. And I'm not even. I'm not even a lamb. She can't sing how she used to. Okay.
Bob the Drag Queen
She posted a thing about her taking her kids. She was like, went to the Great Wall of China with the kids today. I wish somebody would have told me not to wear heels.
Monet X Change
She's ridiculous. Or also, people used to do about Whitney, too. I hated that as well. I'm like, she has Had a hard life.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. Whitney's different. But then again, which speaks to some people's instruments because Chaka Khan has done a lot in her life and a lot of drugs. Chaka Khan's voice is still incredible. It's crazy, but it's also.
Monet X Change
But also, some people are skinny till they die, and some of us gain a lot of weight. So, like, it's not like some big testament to the bitch who stays skinny. Like, that's just how their body's built. Some people just end up gaining weight. And I hate when people were like, but look at her. So. And so she stays snatched forever. Okay, that's her. Most of us are gonna gain weight as we get older. It's just part of getting older.
Bob the Drag Queen
Do you know what really irritates me is how people shit on Alicia Keys now because she has some flaws when she performs. People do not realize how Alicia Keys put, like, early 2000s, mid 2000s, R&B, like, on the map, bitch. Like, Alicia Keys defined that genre, the look of it, the sound of it, for a very long time. When she did had her little flub at the Super Bowl. And something else she did before reason, people were like, ugh, this bitch is horrible. She can't sing.
Monet X Change
Like, they really turned Alicia Keys in a really nasty way. So when Alicia Keys did the album Songs in A Minor so Good. Do y' all know that with the exception of the violin, she played every instrument on that?
Bob the Drag Queen
Really?
Monet X Change
With the exception of the violin, she played every instrument on the album. Do you know that Mariah Carey wrote every song in her first, like, two albums?
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, yeah, I knew. I knew that. Well, I didn't know Mariah Carey was such a. We talked about this before. Was such a great writer until I read her book, and I was like, I didn't realize she wrote. She was. She was a writer like that.
Monet X Change
She is a songwriting girly goddess.
Bob the Drag Queen
Like, she has written some hits, bitch.
Monet X Change
And ones that are you. She. She's written two of the most popular Christmas songs, and one of them wasn't even hers. Where are you, Chris?
Bob the Drag Queen
She wrote that.
Monet X Change
Yes, she did. Mariah Carey wrote Where Are you Christmas?
Bob the Drag Queen
So she. So Christmas time, this would be cashing checks.
Monet X Change
Can y' all believe Mariah Carey wrote Where Are you? I love hearing that people like you. You know, I love when I'm like, oh, you know this song's about this. Taylor Swift wrote Lightning. This is what you came for. Lightning strikes every time. No, it's not. No, no, no, no. What's she wrote one of Rihanna Songs. Isn't that Rihanna?
Bob the Drag Queen
That is Rihanna. But I think, though, I'm pretty sure
Monet X Change
that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris wrote that song together.
Bob the Drag Queen
I think it might be cma. Jake is gonna check.
Monet X Change
Also, Bruno Mars wrote fuck you, I see you driving around town with the. He also wrote.
Jacob
Taylor Swift wrote the lyrics for this is what you came for, but it was initially credited under the suiter name Nielse Soljuberg.
Monet X Change
I'm not a sore loser, but I'm an abysmal winner.
Bob the Drag Queen
We know. You've proven that time and time again.
Monet X Change
And then Bruno Martin, because that's when
Bob the Drag Queen
Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris will probably be dating.
Monet X Change
Right? But the fact that she wrote that song no one knew she wrote and it still was a hit, it proves it. Taylor Swift writes the box.
Bob the Drag Queen
Good pen, girl. She has a good pen. I said, honestly, do you think. Do you think you can write a successful R B or pop song?
Monet X Change
Probably not. Not why I've never written one.
Bob the Drag Queen
You don't know them.
Monet X Change
It's not a skill that I can't
Bob the Drag Queen
write one for me.
Monet X Change
I mean, probably not.
Bob the Drag Queen
You know, what if you. What if you're. What if you are? Which, by the way, what's the girl? Sabrina Carpenter. Her lyric in her song, don't make me hate you prolifically, I think. I think it's such a great lyric.
Monet X Change
Can you sing it?
Bob the Drag Queen
Hi, girls. I'm pleased. Don't make me hate you prolifically then. And please, please, please, yes in the hook no.
Monet X Change
Please, please, please, yeah Please, please, please don't bring me the tears when I just did my makeup so right. Heartbreak is one thing, my ego is another. I pray you don't embarrass me.
Bob the Drag Queen
Did you see her reveal at the VMAs? I can't.
Monet X Change
I've not. I've only seen one VMA performance.
Bob the Drag Queen
Chapel, Ron Chapel.
Narrator/Advertiser
Ron.
Bob the Drag Queen
What do you think?
Monet X Change
But I've heard that Katy Perry ate the girlies up.
Bob the Drag Queen
Katy Perry was fucking incredible. I heard she ate the girlies up. Katy Perry is, what, in her late mid to late 40s now?
Monet X Change
She. Katy Perry is probably 44.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay, I said mid.
Monet X Change
But you said till late. Okay.
Bob the Drag Queen
Which is two more years.
Monet X Change
I think she might be 42.
Bob the Drag Queen
No, Katy Perry is 44.
Jacob
Katy Perry is 39.
Bob the Drag Queen
Really? Because in my mind, she's. She's done.
Monet X Change
She's following you right now.
Bob the Drag Queen
She's written. She's unfollowed. You've written so many hits, though. Katy Perry's pen game is strong. She's been in the street for mad long late 40s.
Monet X Change
That's great. You thought she was 44 then I said maybe. I said maybe 42.
Bob the Drag Queen
Entity was still three years off. So now what?
Monet X Change
You were 10.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay, now I did not say 39.
Monet X Change
What was late 40s then?
Bob the Drag Queen
Late 40s was 47 for me.
Monet X Change
Oh, interesting. Late 40s is crazy for Katherine Hudson.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, she fucking go and bitch. You know who's fucking blowing up Roberta?
Monet X Change
Who? Dolce. I love Dochi.
Bob the Drag Queen
Dochi is coming. Doji is coming with that eat her fucking mixtape. And I'm not a rap girl. Like I like rap. Her mixtape is so good. Let's look at Ricky's back. I'll tell you more about her. Miss it.
Monet X Change
You know noi one said that hoe that. That hoe to the condom slip. Who the y' all host think run this Miss she her black vagina designer say Gucci Prada print D O E Amanda Rich doi B D
Bob the Drag Queen
Drift So good.
Monet X Change
And she's great.
Bob the Drag Queen
Allegedly.
Jacob
She did the mixtape in a month.
Bob the Drag Queen
I mean honestly, when you have a lot to say. Sidebar. The opener for me last night name is Imani from Portland. Fucking hilarious. Just tell me about this comedian. You probably know who this is who did. He's done 22 hours. 22 new hours this year alone.
Monet X Change
I do not know who that is.
Bob the Drag Queen
Isn't that crazy?
Monet X Change
Are they good hours?
Bob the Drag Queen
Apparently they're really good. It's like making waves. Cause they're like 22 hours of material this year. A new material. That is it.
Monet X Change
Josh Jackson, the black guy.
Bob the Drag Queen
I couldn't tell you.
Monet X Change
Josh is always doing new material. He always does like topical stuff.
Bob the Drag Queen
Damn.
Monet X Change
I think it's Josh Jackson or Josh something. He's. I think he's like a writer for.
Bob the Drag Queen
Who's that? Is that you? So good. Thank you. You're very kind.
Monet X Change
Josh Jackson. His name might not be Doc Jackson. No, that's not his name. Josh. What is this guy's name? And he's always doing like brand new.
Bob the Drag Queen
Is he cute?
Monet X Change
He. He is handsome. He kind of. He kind of looks like a woman.
Bob the Drag Queen
I used to be obsessed with her.
Jacob
Josh Johnson.
Monet X Change
Josh Johnson.
Jacob
Josh Johnson put out over 22 hours of stand up material in a year and is still hungry to do more.
Monet X Change
Yeah, Josh Johnson. He sounds like woman, doesn't he?
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't see it.
Monet X Change
You're telling me if I told you this was not a bush lesbian, you wouldn't be like, sure, okay.
Bob the Drag Queen
In that picture? No, now I see it like, he's
Monet X Change
a very pretty man.
Bob the Drag Queen
Do you find it to be very funny?
Monet X Change
I like his stuff. I do find that I prefer the company to be a little bit more cooked for someone who's writing at the speed he's writing. It is funny stuff.
Bob the Drag Queen
Got it.
Monet X Change
Like it is funny.
Bob the Drag Queen
Got it. Is it like just one. Are they like long setups? What's his style?
Monet X Change
So he posts on his YouTube page. He'll go to the seller and he will basically talk about current events. So like his, his big one that. That was. Went really viral this year was when he talked about the Alabama brawl. So he went on about the Alabama brawl and it became like a really
Bob the Drag Queen
popular if you know.
Monet X Change
But you can see. Look you. Here is. This is his. This is his page.
Bob the Drag Queen
I got it.
Monet X Change
Like his videos, they get massive views. This came out 12 days ago. It has 455000 views.
Bob the Drag Queen
But she's making Kia's cake slam dunking on YouTube.
Monet X Change
Oh my God, Monet. This man is married.
Bob the Drag Queen
Is he?
Monet X Change
I don't know. I have no clue. I mean. Three weeks ago almost a million views. 797, 000 views. 1.3 million views. 885000 views. 725000 views. 737000 views.
Narrator/Advertiser
Wow.
Bob the Drag Queen
He's taking it honey. So have you seen E as being more of a mom now on TikTok? I'm very happy for her.
Monet X Change
You know, I don't know. The only time Ekane pops in my timeline is when she says something messy. That's the only time I. Ikane, she has never been on my timeline. She's being colorist or. Or on one of her, I don't know, wide eye trips or whatever. They think she's on cocaine or something, I guess.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh really?
Monet X Change
I think. I don't know. But I. I have never seen Ekane on my. On my timeline of her own volition.
Bob the Drag Queen
I follow her and she's like. She's like back in school, she's like really taking care of her gear. She's going. She's.
Monet X Change
She's.
Bob the Drag Queen
She seems to be turning her life around, which I'm very happy. I hope, I hope that last. She's also in a DV situation. So it's like I never experienced. I've never been in a domestic violence thing. I've never known anyone that so. But I understand how it's tough to leave and all those things. So when I see people parasocially or whatever mustering up the courage to move on and like turn their lives around, I'm always like person. I like cheer really Hard for that person. I mean, again, I'm not different in that way, but I'd just be like, bitch. I really want this bitch to win because I just don't. I don't come from that experience. I can't imagine staying in that. But people do all the time.
Jacob
Yeah.
Monet X Change
I mean, I don't know, Ekane, but shout out to you. And I hope that you're getting everything together, Ekane. If you watch our podcast, she might some more follows me on Instagram.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, my God, y'.
Monet X Change
All.
Bob the Drag Queen
We're gonna hear about some more followers.
Monet X Change
You'll never hear the end of this. You will never, never.
Bob the Drag Queen
We watched. So Bob came over there the other day to my house. My mom cooked Sunday dinner for him and. And Jacob and Cameo and myself, Andy. And then we watched the Deliverance. What do you think of. Of.
Monet X Change
Of the Deliverance? You know, I didn't realize it was gonna. Spoiler alert.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, yeah. Spoiler alert.
Monet X Change
Here's your moment to log off if you wanna watch Deliverance. I.
Bob the Drag Queen
The Deliverance.
Monet X Change
The Deliverance. I did not realize that it was gonna turn into a religious propaganda piece. Like it was. I didn't know it turned into a full on Tyler Perry movie. At the Tyler Perry stage play, the
Bob the Drag Queen
speaking of tongues at the end to Banquet, the demon was wild for me.
Monet X Change
Speaking in tongues was camp. It was just like the take it to Jesus. And once you listen to Jesus and like, see how Jesus. They really made it a religious propaganda piece. Like, I did not know that was coming. That blew me away. I was genuinely shocked.
Bob the Drag Queen
I'm just curious about Glenn Close's involvement. Right? Do you think Lee Daniels was like, Lee Daniels team went to Glenn Close's team. Like, hey, we have this role. We really want you to do anything. Glenn Close was like, yeah, sure. Or like, do you think she had to audition? What do you think the process was?
Monet X Change
I don't know if Gwen Close is at the audition stage of her career, but I will say that. That this is based on a true story. Yeah, but it did not happen in Pittsburgh in like Iowa or something.
Bob the Drag Queen
Got it.
Monet X Change
And Glenn Close's character is not real, but she's a pillar of the black community. No part of the fabric of the black community or something. Glenn Close's character is not a real person. That did. There was no.
Bob the Drag Queen
My favorite part of the movie was when she was doing the sewing and she looks over and she listen to you. See that? All black mamas, they go, put your head down. That shit was crazy.
Monet X Change
There was no wigger grandma in the story. I can smell you. I can smell your nappy pussy. I can smell your nappy pussy.
Bob the Drag Queen
Like when Glenn Close read that in the script, you think she was like, oh, my God, Lee, I know this is in here, but I just don't know. He's like, no, Glenn, please.
Monet X Change
So obviously it's a thing in possession movies where the demon says the most vile things, you know? You know, the most famous. The most famous one is your mother in hell. So it's like a whole thing. The demons gotta say something crazy.
Bob the Drag Queen
And nappy pussy was the craziest nigga muster, apparently. Do you think I would. I wanna. I wanna be in a horror movie.
Monet X Change
I'm just glad they didn't make her say the N word.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, yeah.
Monet X Change
Cause you know, they make Neil Patrick Harris say it in the movie.
Bob the Drag Queen
I know. You bring it up every time. And I feel like. I feel like there's a clip of him talking about this. Am I making this up about me? About him talking about us talking about this movie? Am I making this up?
Monet X Change
I've not seen it.
Bob the Drag Queen
Maybe it's a dream I had. Then every time you do it, I'm like, bob, you don't have to bring up. It's your favorite fact about Neil Patrick Harris. But also, he was a kid. Like, he'd have a choice of the script.
Monet X Change
I'm not saying anything good or bad. I'm just saying it happened. I've not passed judgment. I'm just saying it happened. He was a child. And I think it was really poor decision making on the director and the writer to have this child say that. They probably didn't know he grew up to be, like, a famous actor. They probably thought he'd do three movies and be done with it.
Bob the Drag Queen
You know what I mean?
Monet X Change
This was before Doogie Howser, I think.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah.
Monet X Change
I don't remember, but the fact that he probably hates that. That. That he said it.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. I mean, I'm for sure he doesn't love it, you know. You know what I have. My friend is in Modern Family. Sarah Island. I went to high school with her, which she plays the. One of the daughters. The older daughter, I think, of the dumpies. Yeah.
Monet X Change
What?
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. Went to high school together. Same class, everything.
Monet X Change
No, that's. Is that Mila Kunis?
Bob the Drag Queen
No, it's Sarah Island.
Monet X Change
Hang with Sarah Island. Is she dating someone, like, really famous?
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah.
Monet X Change
Well, I don't know if he's really Family guy.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. She plays the daughter, Meg.
Jacob
Yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah.
Monet X Change
Y' all went to high school together. You don't give Chelsea Pierce Shout outs.
Bob the Drag Queen
I had Chelsea Pierce on this podcast before, actually. Also, Chelsea and I weren't in the same class. She was older than me was.
Monet X Change
But now look who's old. And you don't give shout outs to tizlarm.
Bob the Drag Queen
I had shout out to tizlarm. I literally went one night.
Monet X Change
You went to high school together?
Bob the Drag Queen
No, that's because I'm directing my music video. And he went to. And he went to high school together. I have before, so please direct. Tiz arm co directed and helped with love.
Jacob
Like this.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah.
Monet X Change
Can you name one person I went to high school with? I just named three. What's his name too?
Bob the Drag Queen
Trelaina. Not Trilaina.
Monet X Change
Tralana is older than me and is your cousin.
Bob the Drag Queen
What is the. Ashley.
Monet X Change
Ashley is much younger than me. From. In Mississippi.
Bob the Drag Queen
No, the one who came. Who?
Monet X Change
Alicia.
Bob the Drag Queen
Alicia. Well, y' all didn't go to high school together, did y'? All?
Monet X Change
Yeah, we did.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah, we went to high school together. Alicia.
Monet X Change
Oh, yeah.
Narrator/Advertiser
Okay.
Monet X Change
There you go.
Jacob
Yeah.
Monet X Change
I mean you called her Ashley, but. But I. I like said their names properly.
Bob the Drag Queen
But do you want to name someone else?
Monet X Change
I went to school and also Chelsea's name is Justin. So I know both the names. I've named two people to high school with already.
Bob the Drag Queen
But like one of my close. One of my close friends now. You know what I mean? First of all, T and I became super close.
Monet X Change
No, that's crazy. Chelsea Pierce and T found on the
Bob the Drag Queen
side of the road. I became super close after graduate. We were friends and high school. We got super close after.
Monet X Change
Y' all wasn't even know you was
Bob the Drag Queen
not cool enough anyway to somebody. Cuz we also were in different. I was in the vocals, his mom was in dance. And you kind of like don't justify it.
Monet X Change
Just say you don't like the people in your thing.
Bob the Drag Queen
Did you go to high school dances? No.
Monet X Change
I went to middle school dances though. We didn't have high school dances. We had proms.
Bob the Drag Queen
Why not high school dances?
Monet X Change
We didn't have them. We just didn't have. We had proms, but we did not have high school dances.
Bob the Drag Queen
Like, is there a reason? It just wasn't part of the culture of the school.
Monet X Change
I just never questioned it. I just never went to a high school dance. We didn't have them. We had proms and that was the only dance that we had in high school.
Bob the Drag Queen
And the proms were for just the juniors and seniors.
Monet X Change
Juniors and seniors.
Narrator/Advertiser
Yep.
Monet X Change
And I did not go to prom.
Bob the Drag Queen
I didn't go to prom either. Wait, why didn't you go to prom?
Monet X Change
Well, I got invited to junior prom, and the girls stood me up, and then no one invited me to senior prom.
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't know why I didn't go to prom. Jacob's giving you the finger right now, too. From behind the camera, you just can't see.
Monet X Change
Yeah, Cherokee. Did you say her last name?
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah, why not?
Monet X Change
White. Sharoy. White stood me up for junior prom.
Bob the Drag Queen
Damn. You think Shorea's gonna see this and respond? Probably not.
Monet X Change
Her name's not gonna be White anymore. I may not be Sharia anymore.
Bob the Drag Queen
We didn't have a junior prom. We did have a senior prom, but I did not go to senior prom. I don't remember why, though. I can't remember why I did not go to senior prom.
Monet X Change
Were you invited?
Bob the Drag Queen
You were all invited. You were senior. You got to go.
Monet X Change
No, you had to go to someone. You don't have to be by yourself. No one accepted my. Like, no one. I. I didn't ask anyone. It was. It was too much pressure for me. I just couldn't.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah, no one asked me to go, but also, I was a gay voice. I didn't expect the girl to ask me or me or. I didn't want to ask her because I'm like, I'm gay. I was gonna ask a boy. So would you have went with a girl?
Monet X Change
I was gonna go with Royal.
Bob the Drag Queen
I was saying in senior year, though.
Monet X Change
Yeah, I wasn't out of the closet.
Bob the Drag Queen
I know, but I was not the closet either. But even that, to me, felt like such a lie to myself. Like.
Narrator/Advertiser
Like.
Bob the Drag Queen
Like to. To say that I was, like, to. To ask a girl to go to prom when, like, I know. I.
Monet X Change
But your Britney spe. You're Britney Spears girlfriend. That didn't feel like a lie.
Bob the Drag Queen
Britney Spears girlfriend?
Monet X Change
Didn't you have a girlfriend? Y' all used to listen to Britney Spears together?
Bob the Drag Queen
No, she did.
Monet X Change
The girlfriend. Y' all kissed or something on the bus.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah, but we. We. We didn't listen to Britney Spears together. Oh, yeah, Lamar, she also passed away.
Monet X Change
I didn't say anything shady about her. I know, but you. You said that like. Like you.
Bob the Drag Queen
Like you.
Monet X Change
Like you had something on me, like you ate me up or something. You used this woman's death like you ate me up or something.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, which her birthday? Out to Lamar. Lamar, I still think about you. I love you so much.
Monet X Change
Shout out to you Lamar.
Bob the Drag Queen
Lamar duck. Lamar was so funny and your gay boyfriend. You would have loved Lamar. You would have loved Lamar. She was such a geeky why would
Monet X Change
you could have met Lamar.
Bob the Drag Queen
I know, I know. Like, these are people that knew straight Kevin.
Monet X Change
Okay. What.
Bob the Drag Queen
Why are you doing that face?
Monet X Change
Monet had his friend that I met years ago.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, my God.
Monet X Change
I can't remember who it was. Cover up. Say. No, I'm not gonna say it.
Bob the Drag Queen
Tell us. I'll tell you after the podcast.
Monet X Change
Is it the one I'm talking about? And I met him, and he was one of the girls. Like, he was one of them girls. He was like. I mean, like, okay, he was not the only girl. No, but as. But, like, visibly gay. Like, as gay as you can be. Truly. And I was like. And then I remember mentioning, like, blah, blah, blah, something. Maybe a gay bar or something gay. And my name was like, he's not gay. And I was like.
Bob the Drag Queen
It was.
Monet X Change
I was like, I'm sorry. Yeah, I thought so. I thought so. And I was like, he seems gay. And it was like, he says he's straight. And I was like, I hear what you're saying. I hear that you say that, but I don't think that this is a straight man. When it was like, wow, he says he's straight. So. And I was like, okay. And then I think like a year later, she was like, okay, he's gay now. And I was like, oh, yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
When he came out to me, and it was very beautiful, I was like.
Monet X Change
I remember being like, what? Because we had one of them in my school, and it is music majors. Theater majors are rarely in the closet.
Bob the Drag Queen
But how can y' all be. Y' all are fucking twirling around and fucking Sean Nates hurting and doing all kind of things.
Monet X Change
What are you doing?
Jacob
What are you doing?
Bob the Drag Queen
We're just doing scales and stuff. Y' all think every fucking episode of School's a Got High School Musical. I'm going to class and I'm gonna go to World.
Monet X Change
There was no High School Musical when
Bob the Drag Queen
I was in High School.
Monet X Change
Musical was after I was in college.
Bob the Drag Queen
You did yourself with your old ass.
Monet X Change
Actually came out when I was in college.
Bob the Drag Queen
Probably.
Monet X Change
They came out. I was in college. What did it come out in 2000?
Bob the Drag Queen
No, no, it came out when you were in Jekyll and I. Hyde.
Monet X Change
No, no, no, no. I didn't get it. Jeff. 2008.
Bob the Drag Queen
Monet. I know.
Monet X Change
Anyway. No, it came out in 2003-2004-2006-2006.
Bob the Drag Queen
So not too far from the Jekyll and Hyde Club, baby.
Monet X Change
You were Jekyll and Hyde just two years later. Two years later. Exactly. I'm still in Atlanta Georgia darling. But there was this. This one guy who honestly, to this day reminds me of silky nutmeg Ganache. To this day. If Silkie was like, that was actually me. He looked like silky. He talked like silky. He was as over the top and flamboyant as gay as Silky. But we always say stuff like, y' all gay boys are wild. If he would have just came out and been. If he would have minded his business, if he would've shut his badass up, then I would not have been so bothered by this blatant homosexual homophobe. I hated that shit. He drove me crazy.
Bob the Drag Queen
But Bob, it's like, you know, it's a lot of repressed homosexuality and like the church and shit, but it was
Monet X Change
the way he was working at it. It's not that he didn't come out of the closet, by the way. I never judged your friend. I was trying to hit on him, I think so I think I was asking you if I could get with him or something. You were like, he's not gay. That was what it was. I was like, oh, he's so cute. And you were like, he's not gay. And I was like, oop. That was it. I remember that now. I was like Monet.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, now she's living her life like she's golden. Golden.
Monet X Change
I know.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh my God, I'm so excited. Circle back to music. Jasmine Sullivan is gonna be back in LA on October 27th. Where it the Kia Forum. I cannot wait her seeing her. So, you know, I love. I love spending on my friends, like doing nice things for my friends.
Monet X Change
I did not know anyway. This. This was not clear to me anyway. So last time you did you spent on me.
Jacob
Yeah.
Monet X Change
Can you.
Jacob
Can you give us an example?
Monet X Change
I can think of one time you did. You did some regular nice for me.
Bob the Drag Queen
What?
Monet X Change
You bought me some. You bought me that. Those earrings ring and where are they to quote you?
Bob the Drag Queen
What? Okay, so. Yeah, there we go.
Monet X Change
So.
Bob the Drag Queen
So you as you. You've answered your own question about why I've may have them may not have done something nice for you recently.
Monet X Change
So I was like, you know, did
Bob the Drag Queen
I throw those away?
Monet X Change
You literally saw them on the podcast the other day.
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't know. I didn't know that. No, was not the earrings. I don't know where the earrings are. And the ring.
Monet X Change
First of all, look back at the video. They were the earrings and they were the ring.
Bob the Drag Queen
I didn't know. I literally asked, is that the ring? And you're like, no, I threw it away. I'M like, I couldn't see it. You know, when we record, it's blurry.
Monet X Change
You think I would throw that ring away? Do you remember how I felt when I gave it a pair of Louboutins and she walked on the beach in them? You think I would throw away.
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't know, Mom.
Monet X Change
A Versace ring?
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't know, Bob. That you gave me? I don't know, Bob.
Monet X Change
If you were able to just use your rationality and how you know me. You think I would throw away a ring that you bought me, but I got mad when you gave my dress to bad drag queen and you think I would throw your earrings away? I mean, throw the ring away before and after. Shut the fuck up. You know. You know, I did not. You knew I. You did not think I threw that away.
Bob the Drag Queen
I really did. I'm not doing a bid. I really did. I was like, damn. I was like, maybe like in the move where you threw it away. I don't fucking know. I don't know.
Monet X Change
Anyway, I did throw it away.
Bob the Drag Queen
My God. See, this is why I can't. So last time I was at Jasmine Sullivan, she was coming to la, and dejuan came by, and I got us front row tickets to go see Jazz and Sullivan. I spent like, $800 on tickets to see Jazzlyn Sullivan.
Monet X Change
Who is this? Monet Exchange. Who is this? Cause when we went to go see Lizzo, I think I paid 52%.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay, so do you remember how the Lizzo conversation happened? You literally were like, monet, I want to go see Lizzo, and I would like to go to. I would like us to go together. He was like, I'm gonna buy the tickets. I was like, okay. And then what did I do? I got into motherfucking hotel rooms and asked David Charpente because they're on my
Monet X Change
motherfucking statement and the tickets are on my statement.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay?
Monet X Change
So they were more expensive than us at the. At the. Monet had us at the Motel 7.
Bob the Drag Queen
You are such a fucking Motel 7.
Monet X Change
Go back to the one about water. Look at that hotel we're in.
Bob the Drag Queen
Is that what that episode was? Did we fight during that one?
Monet X Change
Yes, we did.
Bob the Drag Queen
Wait, about why?
Monet X Change
I don't remember. I don't remember. But I remember that it was the one about water. We had some. It was about. Oh, my God. It was lateness again. It was about lateness and me saying that I wanted to get there early. You were like, I want to get there right when the show started. I was like, no, I want to get There early. Wait, we.
Bob the Drag Queen
We did one recently about lateness.
Monet X Change
Naomi Campbell in Honor Winter.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, right.
Monet X Change
Always. You and I always, always end up talking about lateness, which is crazy. I'm not.
Bob the Drag Queen
Would you say that I'm a late person Person?
Monet X Change
No, you're not late. But. But I would not describe you as like, particularly like super duper prompt. I would say like drag queens. I know. Who are like, who are like crazy on time.
Bob the Drag Queen
Detox Logan. Hardcore Logan.
Monet X Change
Eureka.
Bob the Drag Queen
Is she.
Monet X Change
Yeah, typically. I mean, on Work the World, she was a little different on We're Here, but there's also stuff outside of your circumstances. There's so many people together. But on, on the Works world, Eureka was always on top of time. Like, always. The first one ready to detox to
Bob the Drag Queen
Latrice Kim is normally on time.
Monet X Change
Kim Kimchi. Yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. And who, who are the late queens? Say their names.
Monet X Change
Oh, I've already said it. Valentina and Violachowski and Shangela. And that's where they kind of. Oh, Alyssa Edwards is always late.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, late. This bitch was just like hours she'll get. She thinks she fucking Grace Jones.
Monet X Change
Do you want to say some names too? Do you want to add to the list?
Bob the Drag Queen
Late queens, Late queens. Late queens. Who do I know of my. You have the.
Monet X Change
You have the late queen. That wasn't. That was. That was.
Bob the Drag Queen
That was.
Monet X Change
That was All Stars. Never mind.
Bob the Drag Queen
That was.
Monet X Change
Valentina's.
Bob the Drag Queen
Not from your season.
Monet X Change
That's.
Bob the Drag Queen
I mean, she's from an All Star season.
Monet X Change
Yeah, but that's actually. That's Pepsi.
Bob the Drag Queen
Valentina is ridiculously late. Wild. I mean, allegedly. That's why she didn't get asked back on. On Mexico. Mexican Drag Race. Allegedly. Well, they have a few things. Allegedly. Allegedly. Because they say cuz she was late and also. Allegedly. I don't know this to be true. That. Because she doesn't. She doesn't speak Spanish as proficiently as they would like for the host. Allegedly. I don't know if that's true, though.
Monet X Change
Oh, and just a record. When I went to go, I went to an event with Naomi Campbell and she was on time.
Bob the Drag Queen
What event?
Monet X Change
It was GLAAD or what's the other one? Not glaad. What's the other one?
Bob the Drag Queen
LGBT Center. Human Rights Campaign.
Monet X Change
No, it's like a. Yeah, Human Rights Campaign. Yeah, I think it was. She got an award there and she was right on time.
Bob the Drag Queen
I will say she was on the first episode of our Drag Race and we did have to sit in the workroom. So after we do the entrances, we
Monet X Change
don't call her out. You can't call her out. You not allowed to call her out.
Bob the Drag Queen
Are we honoring her right now? Are we honoring her?
Monet X Change
Obviously not. Anyway, obviously, we're just don't call her out.
Bob the Drag Queen
The first episode of All Stars 7. After we do that thing in the workroom, meet each other and Raven. The gag with Raven, normally you go to the next beat, but we sat. I don't. And the next beat was with Naomi Campbell. When we meet her on stage, I don't know if it's because Naomi was late. I don't know. I will say we waited in the workroom for a little, for a long time before we moved on to the next scene.
Monet X Change
How long would you normally wait there? Normally?
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't know. I'm trying to remember. Normally, if I had to rem. Maybe like, you're waiting between. Like, 10, 15 minutes between. For the next beat.
Monet X Change
How long did you wait this time?
Bob the Drag Queen
For about an hour. We're sitting in the workroom and, you know, bitch wearing corsets and shit. It was like, girl. Anyway, did you see, though, allegedly, this is a video of your boy Law Roach and Naomi Campbell talking shit about Rihanna. Have you seen this?
Monet X Change
Well, what is. Well, okay, what did Rihanna do?
Bob the Drag Queen
Cause Rihanna. No, Rihanna. So they were all sitting, waiting for the fashion show. Rihanna walked in with, like, this, like, sexy outfit on. And she said, so let's say it's someone sitting here, Lauro, to Naomi. She's greeted this person. And then she walked past La Roach. Naomi went to go to her seat, but people were saying, like, the show was about to start, so she had to get to her seat. So then now there's this video of La Roach and Rihanna was. She's wearing, like, a dress very revealing, showing her decolletage and stuff like that. And then La Roach and Naomi Campbell.
Monet X Change
Can I give another hot take of mine while you look it up?
Bob the Drag Queen
Go ahead.
Monet X Change
I think that it's okay to talk shit about people behind their boss back. Is that crazy? Like, if I find out you're talking about me, that is your business. Is that, like, a horrible take?
Bob the Drag Queen
I mean, it's definitely an interesting take.
Monet X Change
Like, you can't. You can't express your opinions about people in. In private with your friends.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, this is.
Monet X Change
We don't come with our tatas out or our. Very demure.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, very much.
Monet X Change
Very cutesy. It's too much.
Bob the Drag Queen
Just a little.
Monet X Change
It's not about showing yourself.
Bob the Drag Queen
It's about showing the pose.
Jacob
There you.
Monet X Change
Very cutesy.
Narrator/Advertiser
Very nice.
Monet X Change
Oh, I thought they were doing it, like, to themselves. Off to the side.
Bob the Drag Queen
No, no, no. So we don't.
Monet X Change
We don't know for sure that that's about Rihanna, though.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, is it a lot worse than La Roche?
Jacob
I thought.
Monet X Change
I thought. I thought she up and they were like, girlfriend, it's kind of crazy. Which I'm like, you should be allowed to do that with your friends in
Bob the Drag Queen
private, by the way. I saw him. I saw him at a Renaissance. He was. He. I was. I was running out to the bathroom. He was going somewhere else. He was like, monet.
Monet X Change
I know. He's like.
Bob the Drag Queen
He's social copy. He's like, I know.
Monet X Change
You were stacked like that. Yeah. And I was like, thank you. I saw La Ro at. At the airport.
Bob the Drag Queen
I love L. During. Yeah.
Monet X Change
I mean, obviously. I mean, that he.
Bob the Drag Queen
That he put you on.
Monet X Change
That's not true. Yes, he did jam. Put me on.
Bob the Drag Queen
No L. Ro Put you on.
Monet X Change
Okay, sure. What's so funny to me is that in this universe of the Internet and social media that y' all live in, y' all always think something has to be something, but something ain't always something. Sometimes something is just nothing. So stop trying to make nothingness for something. You know what? Y' all needs to get some business. Okay, I love you.
Bob the Drag Queen
Bye. I love Laurel.
Monet X Change
And put it in things so we can actually put it on screen.
Bob the Drag Queen
I love Laurel.
Monet X Change
Yeah. I was like, we don't know that that was about Rihanna.
Bob the Drag Queen
I know.
Monet X Change
It's just. But I wanna say that if. In my opinion, if you walk past me and I just go over to my friend, I'm not going on social media. I'm not grabbing a mic. I'm just like. Like, that dress is not that cute. I should be allowed to lean over to my friend and say that.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, yeah, for sure.
Monet X Change
I don't think that. That if I find out that you didn't like my outfit or something and you just told your friend, but also,
Bob the Drag Queen
the person coming for you is also like, that's valid. 100% valid, too.
Monet X Change
What do you mean?
Bob the Drag Queen
Like, if. So, like, let's say that happens. And then I go on social media and be like, well, fucking boss. Fucking bitch ass has so much to say about my outfit. That's valid, too.
Monet X Change
Oh, absolutely.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah.
Monet X Change
Yeah. But I don't want people like, why you talking about front running back? Because I wanted to. Because I didn't want to fight her, but I just wanted to talk to my friend about her outfit.
Bob the Drag Queen
I think it's weird if we're friends. Like, if I walk in a room and then you lean on over to Naomi will be like, monet's so tacky. That would hurt my feelings. You're my best friend. That is. To me, that's the difference.
Monet X Change
Well, I think it depends on what they're saying. Like, for example, if it's something that I don't think that you would be receptive to. But I want to talk about it. I'm like, like what? I don't know. Monet does not like critiques about her short. She doesn't like when you call her shorts really short. She's very sensitive about you pointing out that her shorts are short. And I'm like, I want to talk about the fact of Moneta shorts short with somebody. I would like to talk to someone. Wow, Monet shorts are really short tonight. So I'm like, yeah, they are. Like her whole ass is saying that. Like, yeah, they are. I don't think that that's shady. Yeah, I wouldn't be mad at that. But I wouldn't want to say it to you because you're going to be negative. You're going to have a negative reaction about it.
Bob the Drag Queen
But that's different than girl Monet's fucking short ass shorts. Why the fuck she got that shit on? Like, that's different than girl Monet shorts are really short. I wouldn't care about that. I'm like, you just comment on the show.
Monet X Change
But if I was like, but I'm saying, but if you were sens about the show, like, you do not like the shorts being bought up. You don't like it. You don't want to hear it. So I'm just being like, damn, well, here go Monet with these short ass shorts again. Monet is. We are at Denny's and her whole ass is hanging out. That is kind of crazy right now.
Bob the Drag Queen
I'll be like, vision.
Monet X Change
I would like.
Bob the Drag Queen
I was like, nigga, say something. Say to my face, why you gotta stay behind my back?
Monet X Change
Because you don't like to hear those things.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay, but then, but, but, but, no but. I don't appreciate my best friend talking shit about me to somebody else.
Monet X Change
I wouldn't say I was talking shit. I was just. I guess I was just pointing out you had.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, that's how you feel. I'm telling you my feelings. Can you, can you validate how I'm feeling about it?
Monet X Change
Oh, I can understand how you're yang, which is why I didn't want you to hear me saying it.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay, well, don't sit. Don't it. Do it again.
Monet X Change
So now you, now you tell me things I can't talk and not talk about with. Even with other. With complete strangers. With other people.
Bob the Drag Queen
As they pertain to me. Yes.
Monet X Change
So I. You're telling me my best friend.
Bob the Drag Queen
Let me stop cutting me.
Monet X Change
You off. I think you cutting me off, though, because I was talking to you as my best friend.
Bob the Drag Queen
I was talking.
Monet X Change
You started talking as my best friend for 15 years now, yes, I'm gonna let you talk.
Bob the Drag Queen
And my best friend for 15 years, I'm telling you hurt my feelings. And it does not feel good when I know that you're talking shit about me, about what I'm wearing somewhere else.
Monet X Change
But I was gonna tell you that, like, you know that you have no dominion. I mean, you remember friends for 15 years, so you know that you have no dominion over the things I say to other people. You know that by now.
Bob the Drag Queen
I do.
Monet X Change
So I think that if something's going on. But I know that it hurts your feelings, which is why I'm not mentioning to you that your shorts are short. You are very sensitive about how short your shorts are. Very, very sensitive about it.
Bob the Drag Queen
So knowing that I'm really sensitive, can you not talk about it to other people?
Monet X Change
Well, I'm not saying it to you because I don't want you to hear
Bob the Drag Queen
it, but I am going to hear
Monet X Change
it because she told me I can't acquiesce to that.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, I'm telling you, she's.
Monet X Change
Maybe tell your other friends, not tell you. Maybe tell Naomi to stop telling you.
Bob the Drag Queen
You know what? I'm going to just stop telling you everything. This friendship is not.
Monet X Change
Are you gonna stop wearing the shorts, too?
Bob the Drag Queen
No, you didn't tell me you wear.
Monet X Change
I just saw you wearing the shorts.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, we're done.
Monet X Change
Well, now I can really say anything I want.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. I can say what I want to.
Monet X Change
Of course you can. You've always been allowed to. But, yeah, I think that. I mean. Yeah, I just feel like being like. I don't know, just. It's okay to. It's okay to. I should be able to say what I want about someone, especially to my friend. To lean over and be like, this is kind of. You know what I mean? I mean, I guess if you and I have. We've had this happen.
Bob the Drag Queen
What?
Monet X Change
Where one of our friends is doing something wild and then we call each other and talk about it. Yeah, that is.
Bob the Drag Queen
That is the thing that exists.
Monet X Change
Even when we're critique. Even when we're like, that is crazy. It is. What. But we're also.
Bob the Drag Queen
We're best friends, so that's different. Like, I wouldn't do that. Not necessarily best friends or really close friends. I wouldn't do that.
Monet X Change
But I will call you.
Bob the Drag Queen
I will call Kim, I will call Naomi.
Monet X Change
I call someone talking about something crazy I did. That is so. That's so valid. It's so valid. But it's an unsplitting social rule if you and me arguing. Cause I did something crazy and it was crazy. It is so valid for you to call basically anyone you want. I mean, you call Naomi, you can call Kim, you can call. You can talk to Andy, you can talk to Tizlarm. You can talk to anyone you want. And be like, that was so crazy. That is so weird for me to be like, don't talk about me to nobody. Whatever you do with me, whatever suffering or experience you have with me, it needs to be done either in private, by yourself, with no one around, or you can talk about it with me, and you can't talk about it with anyone else.
Bob the Drag Queen
No, but I'm saying. And everyone does it. I think everyone is guilty of the things you. Everyone does that. Guilty.
Monet X Change
Is that even a bad.
Bob the Drag Queen
We know. I'm saying guilty. I'm saying, like, everyone does it.
Monet X Change
We all done it.
Bob the Drag Queen
We've all done it. Right. But I'm saying. But it is an un. But it's. But it's also a social contract that you won't. That me telling you that that person won't go out and start telling other people about what you said.
Monet X Change
No, it's not about telling what I said. It's about things you've done. For example, let's say you did something that I thought was shady. I brought up that it was shady. It's not about, like, a secret you told me. It's about behavior that you have that I either thought was. Was tacky or that I thought was distasteful that I thought was unjust. It's not about. I would never go and tell a secret that someone told me to someone else. Although I wasn't any secret you told me. I've told Monet. That is true. No, I'm kidding.
Bob the Drag Queen
I'm kidding. No, it's not. It's.
Monet X Change
But it's not about, like, secrets you told me. But if you did me dirty or if you. Even if you did something I thought was just kind of outrageous, and I was like, I have to talk about this to someone. I should be allowed to go do that.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. I'm not talking about secrecy. I'm talking about. But, like, give me the scenario. I don't know. You. You owed Jacob $50,000. Oh, sorry. You owe Jacob $1,000. And you said. And Jacob asked him when you couldn't pay him back, when you showed him my house. So you just bought a $2,000 Birkin bag. Right? So I'm like, yo, Naomi, this is crazy. Bob owes Jacob $1,000.
Monet X Change
But that's my, that's my business.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay, let me give you a.
Monet X Change
You're talking about. You're giving my business.
Bob the Drag Queen
Let me say that's not your business.
Jacob
You.
Bob the Drag Queen
Let's go back to the shorts. You don't like the fact that you wear short shorts, and you wear short shorts to somebody.
Monet X Change
No, I, I. I like wearing shorts. I just don't want you calling me out for it.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay.
Monet X Change
So it feels like slut shaming.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay. Right. So then, so then you. We're at this event, and you wear the short shorts, and I call bitch. Naomi, yesterday, Bob showed up to this motherfucking event wearing short shorts. Bitch. He was looking crazy. And I be telling him that he should not be wearing. Like, that's crazy. Now, we all. Everyone probably engaged. Everyone listening to this probably engages in behavior like that. I think that's a safe assumption to say. Right?
Narrator/Advertiser
Mm.
Bob the Drag Queen
Now, the shady part is if Naomi then goes and is. Is like telling other people. And then it comes back to me that I said that about you. Like, you are valid for your feelings to be hurt, and I can understand why that does not feel nice. That's what I'm talking about.
Monet X Change
I didn't say I can see why it wouldn't feel nice because I'm sensitive about the shorts in general.
Bob the Drag Queen
Right.
Monet X Change
So hearing about it. But also, like, that comes back.
Bob the Drag Queen
You're gonna hear about it because I'm doing this thing.
Monet X Change
But also, like, I don't think I'd be that hurt. Cause we probably already had a conversation that you think my short short's attacking. Clearly, at some point, we've had to establish a boundary.
Bob the Drag Queen
No, look. What?
Monet X Change
You're shorts in the scenario. And you know I don't wear short shorts.
Bob the Drag Queen
You did. There's a.
Monet X Change
Literally, your call ID on my phone
Bob the Drag Queen
is you in short shorts.
Monet X Change
I mean, that was. I was like, 25 in that picture. No, not 25.
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't think I knew. That's 25.
Jacob
26.
Monet X Change
Anyway.
Bob the Drag Queen
Anyway.
Monet X Change
But obviously, we've had a conversation at some point. We've established this boundary at some point. But I don't think I can go and tell you who you can and can't talk to about stuff.
Bob the Drag Queen
No, no, no. Yeah. Yeah.
Monet X Change
No, for sure. I don't.
Bob the Drag Queen
It's not that. I'm just worried about the fact that that person ends up hearing it because telephone starts to happen and then you.
Monet X Change
Well, I was out in public wearing short shorts. I know I was in public wearing short shorts.
Bob the Drag Queen
And you be.
Monet X Change
And you.
Bob the Drag Queen
And you and me like Monet. That really hurt my feelings. Did you talk about my short shorts to someone else?
Monet X Change
I don't think it would hurt my feelings though.
Bob the Drag Queen
Really?
Monet X Change
Because what I don't want is to. For you to bring it to me. I don't want you to come to me talking about my short shorts if I'm already out and I'm wearing the short shorts. I don't want to feel self conscious about my legs when I'm in this spot at this place with these short shorts on.
Bob the Drag Queen
But it's okay if you know that I was talking about it with. With other people. About your short shorts. The thing that. The thing that. The thing that you're insecure about.
Jacob
You.
Bob the Drag Queen
You talk to Jacob about it and Camion and Naomi about it.
Monet X Change
Yeah. I naturally assume. I just naturally assume that my friends are talking about things that we've done together with my other friends. I just naturally assume that. And that seems. Because we all talk about our friends to our other friends.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, sure. Totally.
Monet X Change
So I just. I just. Even if it's not sensitive, I'm just assuming.
Bob the Drag Queen
But is that hearing it back is. Can be. Is hurtful sometimes to hear that someone was talking about something that you were really sensitive about. Knowing the sensitive bond. Knowing that, like, I was thinking about lateness.
Monet X Change
Right.
Bob the Drag Queen
Uhhuh.
Monet X Change
Bob is always late. Bob is always late. Bob is always late. And you just go and you tell Peppermint, I'm so irritated that. That Bob was so late to this. That like, I'm so. I didn't say anything in the moment, but I'm just so irritated. It. It really upset me. We were all waiting around and now Bob is late. If that gets back to me, how do I have any right to be upset about this? And I mean, short shorts are different. It's all. I mean, I'm trying to build the scenario where I would care. Unless you went up to me and you were like, I actually don't care
Bob the Drag Queen
that you were late.
Monet X Change
I don't mind. I feel good about it. And then you went and told someone else that would feel that I wouldn't like. Cause you're lying to one of us. You're either lying to me or you're lying to Peppermint. You know what I mean? So I think if you came up to me and you were like, I love these shorts. These shorts are so fucking fierce. Then he turned around and told Naomi, those fucking shorts look fucking dumb as hell. Hell, that I think would be upsetting to me because I'd be like, why did you. Why did you even come to me and say you could have not said anything? Okay. You know what I mean?
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah.
Monet X Change
So I can't talk about your shorts. Behind you. I can't talk about your shorts. What am I allowed to talk about that you've done to Jacob?
Bob the Drag Queen
I mean, he's your boyfriend. I assume that you talk about Jacob. You talk with Jake about everything, or
Monet X Change
to Naomi or to Cam or to Pep or to Mitch.
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't know what the situation is. Like, I don't know. I don't know what best.
Monet X Change
I would never give out someone. I would ne. You don't, you know, I don't know, even give people's phone numbers to people without calling them first. Like, I want to. Even if I know you've had it.
Bob the Drag Queen
I'm like, well, someone does do that, though. Someone do the research. I'm like, why don't you give my number to. To this person? I'm like, what?
Monet X Change
Oh, who gave my number to that guy? Trinity, one of the trinities. It was either Trinity the Tuck or Trinity Cable. Nay. One of them gave my number to this random person, was like, hey, yeah, someone. And I was like, I'm sorry. I said, how you getting over there? Like, tr. And I was like, huh?
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah, Someone gave my number out recently. And I got a text like, hey, Monet, I got your number from blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I was like, you have to
Monet X Change
text or call someone and say, can I give your number to so and so.
Jacob
And you.
Monet X Change
In my opinion, you don't have to. But I think it is moral to say, can I give your number to Jacob? And until I get a text from Monet saying, yes, I can give your number to Jacob, I will not be giving anyone's number out to anyone.
Bob the Drag Queen
Cause also numbers.
Monet X Change
Unless it's, like, work related. But even when it's work related, I still go, I'm gonna send your number.
Bob the Drag Queen
The numbers are like, forever. I've had my numbers since I. Since I got a cell phone. I don't want. Huh?
Monet X Change
What's the first three digits?
Bob the Drag Queen
646. I've had my number since I got up my first cell phone at 13, and I don't want to change my number. I have had at and t since the third, since 13, the same number. So giving someone's number out is very personal, and I don't want to give them my New York number.
Monet X Change
I agree. You do not give out people's phone numbers. And. And I think that most people who know me know that I'm really good at keeping secrets. Like, I will if you tell me something.
Bob the Drag Queen
Except.
Monet X Change
Except what? Are we gonna discuss this?
Bob the Drag Queen
No, we're not gonna discuss this, because
Monet X Change
that's not quite what happened. We'll talk off air. What happened?
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, on the show that's coming out, I do talk about it, but I want to wait till that. To talk about it.
Monet X Change
Okay? Because I did not go. And that's a whole different. That's a very different.
Bob the Drag Queen
We'll discuss that in the future.
Monet X Change
Actually, we can make a Patreon series that can be released after that episode comes out. How much time do we have?
Bob the Drag Queen
We're done, girl.
Monet X Change
All right, we'll save this for Patreon. We'll see you all on Patreon in three weeks.

True to form, the podcast maintains a sharply witty, openly honest, and at times tongue-in-cheek tone. Conversations jump between earnest reflection, drag queen banter, and satirical takes on pop culture, with plenty of inside-jokes and playful ribbing.
This episode is a rich tapestry of humor, drag culture, real-life lessons, and cultural critique, with the hosts’ warm camaraderie anchoring even the most rambunctious discussions. You’ll step away with a smile, a new appreciation for the complexity of drag friendships, and probably a burning desire to revisit Les Mis (or at least debate the merits of Gatorade Zero).
End of summary.
