But also, there's another character in the book who is. His name is Avarick, and he's like a rich, wealthy prince type. So they kind of actually combine the musical. Fiyero is actually a combination of Fiyero and then this other character, Avarick from school. And it's a little bit of both. So they also kind of rewrote the entire character of Vera for the musical as well.

Is the Wicked book a good read? Should I read it?

Honestly, I did not like it. I did not care for it.

I think the book is fine if you really want to get into the Gregor McGuire world. I think Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister is a much better book. I think it actually would have made a better musical. Confession of Ugly Steps is a really genius.
