Foreign. Hey there and welcome back to another episode of the Simple Pin podcast. I'm your host, Kate all, and this is Kate's take number 12. What you might have noticed this year if you have been listening to the podcast for a long time is we switched to doing interviews and these short Kate's takes. We have heard from many of you that you love these, that they're a quick little poppy 5 minute tip or some of my thoughts. And actually, I love them too. It has been such a great place for me to process things that are happening on Pinterest, what I'm seeing in the community, the conversation, and frankly, this year it has been a lot. So what I want to tell you is a little bit of a plan for summer. So in the past, we have done many different varieties of summer episodes. We have done the summer story series for a few summers and that has been so delightful. We have taken breaks from running episodes at all and we have run replays. And honestly, we have not found a perfect rhythm. But what we have learned is to be flexible. So summer is often a time where we see people take vacation. I take vacations. In fact, last summer I took a lot of vacations. I went to Ireland, I went to Quebec City to teach for tea. And then I also went to the Grand Cayman and then also did a lot of camping with my kids. So basically June and July, I was out. And it was a really, truly five weeks off. It was amazing. And no, I don't have the perfect plan to tell you how to take five weeks off, but I can tell you that a team is integral. And one of the important parts is that I want to give my team rest and I want to give our creativity rest. I have talked in the past, many years ago about this idea of sabbatical being really integral to how we continue to run the company at Simple Pin. And a lot of that is not just getting your time to take a vacation from work, but to really give your brain time to do things in what I like to call lighter mode. So it's not this deep thinking work, it's not this deep creative, but it's just kind of listening and letting either interviews on podcasts or podcast stories kind of bump up against you and help you get more creative ideas to go into the second half of the year. So. So this summer, due to some circumstances, I won't be able to do my summer story series. But never fear, there are a lot of interviews that will be coming starting in August. In fact, this year has been so fun to do interviews with different people in different spaces. And I plan to bring in some AI conversations because obviously that is the darling of the day, but also share some stories about how people are navigating this changing landscape, this changing world. So I think we're going to have some really great stuff coming up for you, but over the next three episodes we're going to air some replays of our favorite interviews from the past. Some episodes that people maybe have listened to, or maybe not a lot of people have listened to, but we thought maybe more people would. So my hope for you is that you can listen to these replays, maybe even if you've listened to them before, and you'll get a new little nugget of teaching out of them. Or maybe some encouragement for your business and ultimately hope this summer for you is a place where you can enjoy vacations, you can rest, you can find delight in things that might be business adjacent or maybe they're business saturated for you. Honestly, I found there is no one right way to do summer vacation. So with that, my hope for you is that it is productive in all the right ways. It is encouraging for you in lots of ways as well. And know that we're still here with our email. Every single Wednesday I'll be sending a weekly Pinterest Made simple email. I'll have some videos on YouTube. We'll still be around, but we're just taking three weeks off from the podcast to share some of our replays. Thank you so much for listening. If you've been a long time listener, thank you so much. We've been doing this podcast now for 10 years, which is incredible to me. I can't even believe it. And we've had simple pin media now for 12. We we are continuing to lean into all the latest Pinterest marketing tactics, strategies. You name it, we are deep in it. So thanks so much for being a part of this journey with us and we hope to continue to lead you and teach you and help you be successful in your business. So I'll see you in a couple weeks with new interviews to help you be inspired to go into the second half of 2020.
