If you are using Pinterest for your marketing, or maybe you are an agency who helps clients leverage Pinterest to grow their business, I have an invitation for you. I believe that if you are using a marketing tool for your business, whatever it is your time, your dollars are invested in that tool or in that platform, then you need to pay attention to events that they are hosting because these events can give amazing information about how you can leverage your content, your products, whatever it is to grow by just listening to these events and what they share. So I have an invitation for you to Pinterest Presents I am Kate all welcome to the Simplepen podcast. Today we're going to be talking about this annual Pinterest event that Pinterest does. This is a note miss for me because Pinterest will release information on new ad product innovations, share success stories, insider strategies which we all want that you will not find anywhere else that comes from the source. They're also going to talk about their major brands who have done really great work with them, like Skims, Ikea, Carrot Rocket, GM and Sephora. We're also going to be talking about Gen Z behaviors on Pinterest because Gen Z is the darling generation at the moment. But that does not mean that if your target audience is Millennial, Gen X, or maybe even Boomer, that you're not going to be able to glean information from Pinterest Presents. Now, before we dive into this podcast, I want to let you know that this podcast is being created in partnership with Pinterest. I am currently part of the Educator program at Pinterest, which has been a huge highlight of my when they asked me to partner with them to create this podcast, I was more than happy to. Here's why. As someone who's been marketing on Pinterest for years, 11 years, in fact, I've learned that the platform evolves more than most of us realize. Even me. I wanted Pinterest to stay the same for years, but it can't. Given the current online landscape, what worked last year might not work this year, or what's working now might be completely different than it is in six months. Or say you've only been doing organic marketing and now you want to lean in to ads. So when Pinterest announces events that marketers can attend, I attend. In fact, Pinterest Presents is one of those ones I can't miss. I have done recaps of them over the last couple of years. I have simply loved and enjoyed watching this event every single year that they've held it so what is Pinterest Presents? Some of you might be asking this because maybe you haven't listened to this podcast before or watched a video that I've done. Pinterest Presents is an hour long virtual live streaming, basically showcasing the latest tech and ad products, featuring real wins from industry leaders and establishing Pinterest's unique position in the market. This year's concept is spy themed, always have a theme and features some well known actors and comedians like Jamila Jamal. She I looked at her Instagram, it is so cool. She's really well known for her role in the Good Place and she is a great activist. The team at Pinterest works really hard to make this interesting. Not a dry, boring marketing presentation. There are no black treble necks and slide decks here. It is fun. It is interactive format because that is what Pinterest is. Can you imagine if they had this boring like wa wa whole annual event? Here's our new feature. Here's whatever. They don't do that. It is very Pinteresty. At the same time, they're talking about business development ideas and that makes them really light and super approachable for people who want to do marketing on the platform. It is not just a corporate presentation. It is an annual deep dive into where the platform is at, where it's going and how businesses can actually succeed there. Like I said, this is really fun to watch. It is not boring. So if you are serious about Pinterest as a marketing channel for your business, this event is how you stay current. This is how you learn about new features before they become mainstream. This is how you understand user behavior shifts before your competitors do. Okay, here's what they're actually going to cover. The agenda for Pinterest Presents covers exactly the kind of information that helps you stay ahead of the curve. CEO Bill Reddy will open up the event, giving insight into the progress Pinterest has made and the momentum they built over the last year. I follow him on LinkedIn. He's super cool. I really think he's an awesome CEO. You'll hear directly from Malik Ducard and Dana Cho, who will be highlighting the power of shopping on Pinterest and how Pinterest helps its users move towards purchasing decisions. By the way, we've had Malik here on this podcast. Also a super cool guy. I really appreciate his understanding of content creators. Here's what I also really appreciate. They're bringing in actual businesses. And sure, they are giant businesses. I'm not gonna lie, these are the bigs of the big. But I like that they're bringing in, not some like, well, you could do this on Pinterest or you could do that. They're getting down to the case studies. Like I said, skims, Ikea, Carrot Rocket, GM and Sephora. Andrea Mallard and Matt Madrigal are going to share more on this and the results these brands are getting. Last Bill Watkins is going to be talking directly to advertisers needs and the ways they make their ads easier to use. This is great because for years we have heard Pinterest ads feel so confusing. They are not confusing anymore. We are running more and more ads for our clients and we are loving them. Last year's Pinterest Presents, I want to say, was also really insightful but also super transparent, which I appreciated. It was a lot of the conversation about where they had been and the challenges they had faced and where they were going. Taking those learning lessons into the future of what hadn't worked and acknowledging that things hadn't worked. Kind of acknowledging what I just said, that Pinterest ads have been so frustrating and confusing. That takes a lot for a company to admit. I still have deep respect for that statement and it stuck with me. So I have no doubt that this lineup will be not only entertaining, but insightful. So let's talk about a little bit for you as like professional development. So as part of the Pinterest Educator program over the last six months, I was almost gonna say years, but it's just been six months. I've had a front row seat to who is developing products, how are they learning and evolving and what initiatives they are leaning into going forward. When we chatted about some upcoming educational content, it was clear that we needed to take a step small pivot to have have me talk about how I've approached Pinterest Presents over the last few years. Our podcast has always covered recaps and tools that our listeners needed to know after this event, but now I get to partner with them and give it a jump start and encourage you to attend. We're going to do a recap too, so don't worry. Make sure you sign up though. For those of you who always ask me, is there going to be a replay? There will be a replay, so I want you to sign up with a link down below in the description so that you can get on the list to get the replay for Pinterest Presents. So we always attend, but I want you to get the replay in your inbox before I do a recap if you're going to go the route of replay. So I attend these because it is the kind of professional development I need that keeps me sharp and keeps what I'm teaching relevant and supports our client. So like I started this podcast with or this video with if Pinterest is a part of your marketing strategy, or if you're thinking it should be, this event can help you understand where you should be focusing your efforts. If you are an agency owner, this is the kind of information that helps you serve your clients the better and stay competitive in your market. If you're a business owner trying to figure out where to invest your marketing time and budget, hearing directly from Pinterest about platform changes and opportunities could actually be really informative for you, so you can make a great decision. So here's the practical details and what you need to know. Pinterest Presents is totally free and it's virtual. Honestly, that removes a lot of barriers to attending. You can catch it live or you can catch the recordings later. You can watch the whole thing or just the sessions that are most relevant to your business. So you're going to want to register. Go do that at the link below. I'll put it in the show notes or if you're on YouTube, just scroll down. Whether you decide to attend or not, I think we could all agree that staying current with platforms we use is just a good business practice. Save the date September 25, 2025 at 10:00am Pacific Again, register even if you can't attend live. Here's what I'm most excited about. I'm curious about user behavior insights and some new measurement capabilities, and I want to understand how Pinterest users are engaging with content differently now. And I want to see what the new tools are available for tracking performance. I'm actually really curious to hear about the case studies too. I think it's always valuable to hear experience, share stories, case studies so that I can get some understanding as to how that is going to work in my business and how I can translate even something that works for these giant businesses that have millions of dollars to spend on ads. I can take away something that can work for a campaign that is $50 a day or can work for an organic campaign. There is something for you that you will take away at Pinterest Presents. So at the end of the day, if you want to stay up and up on Pinterest, this is the place to be. If you want to join me, great. If not, no worries. But do make sure you are staying current on every single platform that you are using. Thank you so much for listening. Again, I'll probably do a follow up after the episode and the event to share what I've learned. Until then, keep doing great work and I hope to see I guess see you attending Pinterest Presents. Just remember to click down below in the description to get signed up today.
