So just the other day in one of my group coaching calls, one of our group coaching calls inside of the simple SEO framework and group coaching one of our students in there, she was saying, yeah, I'm still not. I still haven't gotten like as Fast as you are at writing a blog. And I was like, that's fine. You'll get faster. You know, it just takes practice. And I naturally do things pretty fast. So, you know, anyway, I feel like a big part of adulting and running a business and parenting and all the things is learning how to work smarter, not harder. And so, because I have big goals and I do not lie, and I'm trying to do all these things, I have figured out some hacks, yo. To help things move a lot faster and be a lot more efficient. And this is one of those things that once I finally implemented it, I'm like, oh, duh, why didn't you do this sooner? Faith. Like, it makes things so much easier. Because this messaging hack really does save you a ton of time. Helps you to build trust and build a reputable brand. So I'm going to tell you the hack, okay? I'm going to tell you the hack. Then I'm going to tell you five reasons why you need to do the hack, and then I'm going to tell you one really easy way to implement the hack, okay? Okay. So the hack. The hack for saving time in your messaging and creating consistency is to have repeatable messaging across all platforms. Now, hear me when I say this, this does not mean that you say the same thing every day on every single platform from now until when Jesus comes back. That's not what this means. This means that you have reusable phrasing that you use across all different platforms, and you're not afraid to say the same thing twice or to say something with a little different flavor the second time. Does that make sense? And the reasons why you really, really, really need to implement this hack are as follows. Number one, Repetition builds recognition. Our brains need to hear something more than once, typically to implement it. Okay? We need to hear it again and again and again and again and again. Right? You need to hear things more than once. Again. I need to hear things once. Our kids need to hear things more than once. Our dogs need to hear things more than once. Like, we need to hear things more than once. Okay? It's not a slam. You ain't calling anybody stupid by repeating something. In fact, my pastor said multiple times, he said, the only thing that'll keep me from repeating something is pride. He said, you know, said air quotes like, this was the general overarching message of that phrase is, you know what if we're going to change our lives according to the gospel and according to message, like, we need to hear it it more than once. Right. And sometimes as marketers, as content creators, as business owners, we get like, we feel like, oh, my gosh, I've already said that. I don't want to say it again. When in reality, nobody but your mama has read every word that you've written. Okay. And even your mama might need reminded it's okay to repeat things more than once. Okay. Number two reason why you need repeatable messaging across all of the things is you want people to be able to echo what you say. You want people to be able to reuse your core phrasing, to talk about what you do in a way that it helps them. You want your messaging to be something that they can. That they can repeat. Okay, number three, reusing messaging saves a ton of time. So much time. If you know that you can reuse this phrase across umpteen places, umpteen times, you're not trying to reinvent the wheel and come up with an amazing way to say something every single time that you have some content to create because you have messaging that you can pull from and reuse. Okay, number four, this is going to create consistency and build trust. Okay? If your messaging is all over the place, if you're using different phrases, different. If you sound like 10 different people online instead of one person or one brand online, trust plummets. People may not be able to tell you why they don't believe it is what you're saying, but they're not going to believe you because you sound like a psychopath, because your messaging is so all over the place. And number five, the number five reason why, and probably one of the most powerful reasons why your messaging needs to be consistent across all platforms is this. We are inundated with messages. We are. We are just inundated with messages. Think about how many social media posts you see a day, how many emails you see a day, how many billboards you see a day. If you live in the city and not in the middle of nowhere like me, how many ads you see every day? How many messages do you see every day? And how many of those do you remember every little bit about them? Probably not very many. Probably a very low percentage. Okay. I did, like, a tiny bit of digging because I was like, I wonder how many messages we see a day. And I thought that this information was interesting. So the Nielsen. Nielsen Research Group basically said that it's. We can't really quantify how many messages people see a day. Okay. However, what we can do is we can see how much communications people have received a day. So, like, in work Comms like knowledge workers, like Microsoft 2025 work trend says that the average employee gets 117 emails per day, 153 team chat messages a day, about 270 messages per day. That's not including news alerts, mobile notifications, social media notifications, and anything that we get on our personal stuff. Okay, so, and that is just emails, right? We are inundated with messages, with ads, with things that are coming at us. And in fact, one of my college professors, he was an art teacher, he talked about when they went to the city, we live in the middle of nowhere, right? So when they drove to the city, he had to let his wife drive because there were so many things that were vying for his attention that it was like overwhelming visually for him. And I feel like, you know, we're in that space even more now with how many ads and notifications and social media things pop up on our phones, in our faces, on our TVs, around us every day. So for us as marketers to feel like we have to reinvent the wheel, reinvent our messaging, every single time we hit publish is dumb. Like, reuse your messaging. Now, the hack, the trick to do this that I have found that works fantastic for my business, for client work, for students, this is the hack is to have a brand messaging guide. So what we do is we have, and we do this for website copy clients. Now we have like one giant document that just has like phrases that we can use to describe something. Phrases that we can, that are carefully crafted pieces of copy. Like one sentence, two sentence, three words, like whatever fits the boat. This product, this is how we talk about this. This thing is how we talk about this. We have a brand messaging guide in a Google Doc that, that is linked to all of the templates everywhere for that particular business. We have a brand messaging guide that we can just grab phrases from and use them. Now sometimes you're gonna need to tweak it a little bit and change it a little bit, right? Like the messaging surrounding a specific freebie is gonna be different from the messaging around a different freebie, right? Your messaging needs to be tailored to the thing that you're promoting. But if you have a brand messaging guide on file, easy to access for you and everybody on your team, then what you're doing is you're giving yourself a very easy to use tool to have carefully thought out and crafted messaging to use across all platforms. And you're putting it in a place that everybody can use it so that you don't have Sally down the street who works for you trying to reinvent your above the fold copy when she's creating an email you don't have. You know Sherry who's up late to up too late working, trying to come up with brilliant ways to say something when it's already written out and easy to access. So that's your hack. Get yourself a brand messaging guide and if you are like I don't actually know how to talk about my business in a way that's going to help me to sell the best make sure that your spot is saved for the Sell More Without Sleaze boot camp happening November 11th, 12th and 13th at 6pm Central Standard Time. 30ish minutes of teaching.
