Okay, now it's time to let your mind begin to soften and feel yourself being driven toward effortless sleep. It's time to drift, drop and let go. Allow your body to find a place where it naturally wishes to be. Right now, perhaps making tiny adjustments. Shoulder relaxing downward, the jaw loosening, The muscles around your eyes becoming soft and relaxed. And as you listen to the sound of my voice, there is absolutely nothing else required of you. Even listening itself can become effortless. My words can simply drift around you like soft clouds moving across a quiet evening sky, because your deeper mind already knows exactly what to keep and exactly what to release. You were designed to rest, designed to soften and let go. You can simply receive the permission to let go now, to settle in and surrender. Surrender. And every time you hear the word surrender, a warm river of relaxation will flow gently from head to toe. As you take a slow breath in. And allow that breath to gently exhale out, you're beginning to notice that the breath is extending even more comfort through you. It may be a subtle sensation, as though your entire system is sighing with relief, As if a part of you has quietly been waiting for permission. Permission to stop holding. Permission to stop carrying. Permission to stop preparing for what comes next. Permission to surrender. Surrender. Surrender. And that permission is here, right now. You may rest. You may soften. You may surrender. Good. Feel that surrender mow through your entire body and being melting away all tension, rolling that river relaxation down the back of your neck. And crossing your shoulders softly from right to left, left to right. There you go. You may notice that you are both heavy and light. Light and heavy. Parts of your body are sinking down into the cushion beneath you. While other parts of you feel as if you are floating weightless and free. Wonderful feelings are moving through you as you let go. As you soften, Sop. The arms begin to feel so relaxed. Are they heavy or light? Light or heavy? So light they feel as if they are lifting up and up. Light as a feather. Or so. Very heavy. Anchoring you down. Further and deeper into peace and rest. And this river of relaxation is flowing down the spine, down the spine. Blooming into the muscles of your back. Every muscle softens as the body surrenders, Surrenders. Surrender. Down around the center of your body and slowly cascading down into your legs. Allow the river of relaxation to flow. Flow. Flowing into the thighs, Down through your knees, Into your calf. And slowly into your feet. Right and left, Left and right. And all the while your thoughts are just floating up and away. Up and away. Floating above you and rolling across the the evening sky like clouds. The distance of each thought grows with every breath. You're just allowing the thoughts to rise, to float away. Words and thoughts simply drift around you. You're ready to release and let. You're ready to surrender. Surrender. Surrender. All the way down to the tips of your toes. You just feel that river of relaxation. Flow. Flow. And as I count you from 20 to zero, you begin to imagine that you are floating in warm water. Perfect water. Held completely. Flow. 20. The water is calm, so still. You don't need to hold yourself up. Your body simply floats, resting upon the surface of the water. You are supported fully, effortlessly. How wonderful that feels. 90. 80. Drift. Draw. And let go. And let go. You're supported and at ease, just floating peacefully now. 16. Your subconscious mind begins to take the driver's seat. And it feels so good that you allow it. 15. You rest now. Rest. At 14. Let good feelings flow. Flow. You're safe here. Safe to surrender. Surrender. There you go. Mind quiets even more as thoughts float up. You just let them drift. You allow yourself to simply be. 14 is 13. You're at ease. And at 12 you're at peace. Peace. At 11, you may begin to notice how much energy has quietly been spent holding everything together. Holding thoughts, tension, expectations, Responsibilities. But at 10 tonight, you simply release your grip. Release the grip. There you go. 10. 9. Let go. Just let go. Imagine opening your hands, letting go of the grip. And just allow everything to rest beside you. Good. At seven. Surrender feels beautiful. Surrender feels warm. At 6, Surrender feels like stepping out of heavy shoes after a very long journey. Five now surrender feels like sinking into fresh sheets after a day that is five finally come to an end. Four is three. Surrender feels like exhaling. Exhaling. Exhaling. Because everything is okay. Right now, right here in this moment. Everything is okay. You can just let go. Go. Four is three now. And two. As your body floats, your mind can begin to float too. Floating even higher than before. Floating so high and so far they are barely a whisper. Thoughts can drift gently by.3. Two. That's right. Allow those thoughts to float so far, so high. As you continue to float on the surface of the water. One now is zero. Let go and surrender. Surrender. Surrender. You're simply drifting. And as you do, beautiful spaces begin appearing between one thought and the next. Tiny moments of stillness. Tiny moments of quiet. Tiny moments of peace. Be. And those spaces become larger now, Wider and softer. A quiet mind is peaceful. A quiet mind feels expansive. The quiet mind feels spacious. A quiet mind feels like standing beneath a sky filled with stars. So much room. So much openness. So much ease. Now surrender even more. And notice what happens now. As your forehead softens. And the muscles around your eyes relax even more. As your cheeks soften. And your tongue rests comfortably. While your neck unwinds. Feel your shoulders slowly melt. As though warm water were chin gently flowing through every area that once carried tension. Softening, Releasing, Easing. Downward. And downward, Down into your chest. Your breathing softens. Your stomach relaxes. Your back unwinds. Allow your hips to soften. There you go. As your legs become pleasantly heavy, Nice and heavy. As your feet relax completely and your entire body begins experiencing that most wonderful sensation. That beautiful sensation of surrendering. Surrendering. It's time to let go. To allow yourself to be held. Support it. Say. At ease. Drift. Draw. And let go. And let go. There is wisdom inside of you. A very ancient wisdom. This part of you that has always known how to rest. Long before schedules, Long before responsibility. Long before planning. Your body remembers. Your nervous system remembers. Your deeper self remembers. And every cell within you now reconnects with that memory. The memory of deep peace. The memory of complete ease. The memory of quiet. Now imagine yourself standing at the top of a gentle hill. It's twilight. The sky above you is painted with deep blues and soft silver lights. And in front of you there are 20 glowing lanterns. Each of them stretching softly down a peaceful path. Each lantern holds one thing you are ready to release. For tonight. Just for Tonight. Tomorrow can take care of tomorrow. Tonight you rest. Tonight you surrender. Surrender. Slowly you begin walking. At lantern 20, you surrender ever. Lantern 19, You surrender urgency. Lantern 18, you surrender pressure. Lantern 17, You surrender heaviness. It's time to let go. And with each lantern you continue to release what you are ready to let go of right now at this very moment. Lantern 16, what are you ready to let go of tonight? 15. Your body becomes heavier and heavier as your load becomes lighter and lighter that you carry through the day. 14. Your mind so quiet as you let go. As you let go. 13. Your entire being becomes softer soft to lantern. 12. It feels so good to let go at 11. How wonderful it feels to be at peace. 10. Free yourself. Feel that liberation tonight. 8. 9. Is 8. Your body heavier and heavier to seven. You're drifting deeper into sleep. Now your body remembers how to sleep so deep. Six. To lantern five. All tension melts away. How wonderful it feels at four. To be so free to let go in this way. Three. Now is two. And when you reach the final lantern at one, you surrender. The lantern dissolves into a warm golden light spreading all around you through your mind and your entire body. Filling every space with peace. Peace. And now there is only floating in warmth.
