Hi, I'm Janie, and welcome back to Sleep Magic. I'm so glad we're connecting here. You've arrived at the exact moment you needed to, because perhaps you've been going a mile a minute doing your best to hold everything and everyone together. And as much as you have convinced yourself that you can handle it all, I wonder if there's a quiet whisper inside that's asking you to slow down and take care of yourself right now. And if that quiet whisper guided you here tonight, then know that this is a soft place to land where you can finally just lay your burdens down and pause your responsibilities and completely exhale. And for each listener that comes here to experience that nightly exhale and that wonderful drift into effortless sleep, we thank you. You are an immeasurable part of our sleepiest community and we are deeply grateful for every comment and review that you share. We care deeply about your sleepiest experience. Sometimes the day can leave little traces behind. Moments that linger and replay in our minds. You might be thinking, did I say what I needed to at that moment? Or could I have responded differently? Or did I accomplish enough today? These thoughts can create tension that quietly settles into the body and suddenly you're carrying these burdens into the quiet hours that are meant for your restoration. But tonight you don't need to carry anything forward. You're allowed to let the day drift away. You are. And you can give yourself this much deserved and needed time of rest. No second guessing conversations. No revisiting the events of the day. No, no. Tonight I would love to guide you into a gentle release. Just let your mind and body begin to understand that it's your time. Your time to rest. Before we begin our only AD break that makes this magic possible. One thing I hear from listeners all the time is how difficult it can be to quiet a mind that never fully slows down, especially for those of you with adhd. And that's actually something we're exploring in an upcoming hypnosis episode because the racing thoughts overwhelm and exhaustion can be so real. But I also think it's important to say that sometimes relaxation, self help, or even therapy aren't the whole answer. Sometimes you need more specialized support. Talk Gayatry connects you with real psychiatric care so you can better understand what's going on and get a treatment and medication plan that works for you. Tochiatry is a 100% online psychiatry practice that provides evaluations, diagnoses and ongoing medication management for conditions like adhd, depression, insomnia and more. Unlike therapy only platforms, this is psychiatry. You're meeting with a licensed medical provider who can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication where appropriate. And because their clinicians are in network with major insurers, you can use your existing coverage instead of paying huge out of pocket costs. Head to tokiatry.com sleepmagic to complete the short assessment and get matched with an in network psychiatrist in just a few minutes. Spring just slid into your DMs. Grab that boho. Look for that rooftop dinner, those sandals that can keep up with you and hang some string lights to give your patio a glow up spread. Spring's calling, Ross. Work your magic. Okay, now it's time to let your body release any tension and feel yourself being swept into effortless sleep. It's time to drift, draw and let go. As you settle in tonight, allow your body to become comfortable in whatever way feels most natural for you. Perhaps you are already beneath soft blankets. Perhaps your head is resting heavily into your pillows right now. Perhaps your body has been waiting all day for this moment of release. Right now, there is nothing at all that you need to do, nothing that you need to think about. You do not need to carry the emotional weight of the day another minute longer. Accept this invitation for rest because it is just for you. And as you do, you may begin to feel your body sinking in even heavier now. And heavier. That's right. And as your body sinks into the cushion beneath you, you can take a nice deep breath in. And a slow breath out. Very good. And again, breathe in nice and gently. And exhale completely. Very good. And as you continue breathing slowly, naturally, imagine that every exhale softens something within you. Allow the jaw to loosen, the shoulders release downward. The forehead, smooth. And your nervous system begins receiving the message that you are safe now. The day is ending now, and you have permission to. To rest. To rest. Tonight, sleep will be effortless, and we are simply allowing the mind and body to drift naturally toward it right now. The same way the sky slowly darkens at dusk. The same way gentle waves roll towards shores without any effort. Sleep arrives more easily when there is nothing at all to push it along. You can just allow it to unfold in its perfect way, seamlessly, effortlessly. For now, simply listen to my voice. You're safe right here, where the surface beneath you is supporting your entire body. You do not need to hold yourself up at all anymore, so you can let the muscles in your body soften and relax. Allow the muscles around your eyes to soften. Your tongue relaxes. There you go. And even the tiny muscles around your fingertips begin letting go. Letting go, Letting go. Perhaps there were moments today that felt heavy, Conversations that lingered, tasks unfinished. Pressure is quietly accumulating in the back of your mind. But none of that matters right now. And none of that needs your attention in this moment. Tomorrow is a new day. Another time for action, Another time for decisions. Another time for responsibility. Right now, your only responsibility is rest. Rest. And as you continue listening to my voice, I would like you to imagine or consider something very soothing. Imagine or consider that the entire day is becoming lighter, so light, like mist dissolving in the morning sun. Imagine or consider that every interaction, every emotion, every thought is softly drifting Further and further away from you. A nice simple release. The nervous system was never designed to stay alert forever. Right now it longs for restoration, for stillness, for quiet. And tonight, you are giving yourself that gift. Now imagine yourself beside a peaceful body of water. At twilight, You might think of your favorite body of water. Perhaps a lake or the ocean, or a calm river. Slowly moving beneath the moonlight. You might notice that the air is cool and gentle. The sky above you glows with a soft shade of a silver blue mixed with just a little deep violet. And beside this body of water is a small wooden dock. It is safe and still and quiet. You walk slowly out onto the dog and sit comfortably at the edge. Beside you is a lantern. And inside this lantern is a warm golden light. This light represents your energy, your emotional attention. Everything that you've carried throughout the day. And as you stare into this beautiful golden light, every part of your body begins to relax even more. You feel that warm relaxation flow down the arms, down your spine. And the most wonderful feeling of well being rises up in you. As every muscle releases tension. As the calm begins to cascade down, down, down into your waist and into your legs. The right leg and the left, the left leg and, And clear down into the soles of your feet. Rolling down, down, down into each toe. One. Your body releases all that is not meant to be carried into tomorrow. And as you continue gazing upon this golden light, you begin to understand that it represents your energy. And one by one, as you sit on this dog with this beautiful golden lantern, one by one, you begin placing the worries of the day into the water. Stressful moments. You can just toss it into the water like a stone. A burdensome thought. Release it into the water. Now you might even hear the familiar plunk as the heaviness of that burden drops through the surface of the water and begins to drift down. Out of sight, out of mind. If there's an uncomfortable feeling to release, you can do that now. Something unfinished. Release it now. You do not need to solve every part of your life tonight. This is a reminder that you are allowed to rest before everything is resolved. And with each thing that you release into the water, notice that the lantern beside you becomes lighter and softer. The flame is steadier, Calmer and even more peaceful. And as you look back down at the water, you notice that it is gently carrying everything away way just drifting further and further from you, Further and further from you. And the water remains smooth, Moving any burdens or heaviness away from you. And as you watch the water move peacefully in the moonlight. Notice that your own mind begins slowing too. Know that your thoughts become quieter and more distant. And less important. This time of rest is yours. And now we will allow the body to drift even deeper into comfort. Draw all of your awareness back up to your scalp and feel the tiny muscles around the scalp and forehead release all tension. The space between the eyebrows softens, Peaceful and relaxed. There you go. You can allow your cheeks to soften, Allow the jaw to unclench. And notice that the tongue continues to rest gently in the mouth. Relaxation flows down into the neck, Deeper and deeper through the shoulders, melting the arm. All the way down through the the elbows. There you go where the forearms relax, The wrists and the palms soften. All the way down into your fingertips. Your arms are so pleasantly heavy now. Pleasantly heavy now. Ever so heavy now warm, Loose. Your body is resting completely. The chest softens. And you notice that breathing becomes slower and easier. The heartbeat is steady and rhythmic. And it feels so good to know that there is nowhere to go tonight. The stomach softens. Any tension held in the body finally releases. Every exhale. It's like a soft tide washing stress out of the body, Out through the hips, the thighs, the knees and the calves, Down into the ankles and into your feet. Until your entire body feels heavy and deeply relaxed. You can just feel yourself being held now. You are safe to let go. Very good. You can drift, draw. And let go. It's time to let go, to let the day drift totally away. I'm going to count you down now from 10 to 1. With each number, allow yourself to drift even further from the day. And with each number you are closer and closer to deep and healing rest. It's time to let go. At 10, softening, softening. At 9, slowing down, Slowing down. At aid. You're letting thoughts drift further away, Further away. You can barely make them out, and that's okay. And as those thoughts drift from you. At seven, your body is heavy. At six, your mind is quieting, quieting. And how wonderful that feels. At 5, Floating deeper now, Deeper now, Even deeper. At four, you are safe to rest. At three, you are closer and closer to sleep. To sleep, To. You are peaceful and still. Peaceful and still. And at one deep rest. And now that deep part of your mind can begin remembering something important. You do not need to carry everything for everyone. You do not need to carry every emotion forever. You do not need to carry this day into the next. Some things are meant to pass. Stress can move through you and leave. Pressure can dissolve. Your nervous system can reset. And every night your body knows exactly how to restore itself, just as it is doing right now. Allow your breath to regulate you. Allow sleep to heal you. And allow your mind to reorganize itself gently while you rest. Tomorrow is a new day. But tomorrow can wait. Right now, there is only softness. Only quiet. Only sleep. Deep sleep. And if any remaining thoughts appear, they may drift by like clouds across the nighttime sky. You do not need to follow them. You do not need to engage with them. Just let them pass. You're drifting deeper now. And deeper. Perhaps now you imagine yourself lying in a small pile boat upon that peaceful water from before. The boat rocks ever so gently, barely moving, but reminding you of the way you were rocked as a baby. The stars above you shimmer softly. And the water beneath you carries you effortlessly. You're drifting, dropping and letting go. Letting go. Every sound around you only helps you to relax. Even deeper. Good. Every breath carries you closer to sleep. Your body knows what to do now. Your mind knows what to do now. And somewhere beneath all the noise of daily life, there has always been a peaceful stillness within you. It's always been right there. And tonight you are returning to it. Returning to yourself. Returning to calm. Returning to rest. And the sleep approaches naturally. Now you may notice the mind becoming dreamlike. Thoughts soften. Images fade. Awareness is drifting gently in and out, exactly as it should. You are safe. You are held. You are allowed to let the day drift away. Drift away. There is nothing left to do. Nothing left to carry. Only deeper and deeper. Rest. Rest. Drifting. Drop. And letting go. It's time to drift. And drift. And drift. Into peaceful, Effortless. Sleep. Sleep. Deep sleep. As the day drips away. Sam. Sa. It. Sam.
