Shane
Hello and welcome to Smosh Mouth. I'm Shane.
Amanda
And I'm Amanda. And we have.
Damien Haas
No, it was just. It flowed so well. Sorry.
Amanda
No, I have a very specific script.
Damien Haas
This is my first time. I'm sorry.
Amanda
No, it's not. We have a very special guest with us today. Damien Haas.
Damien Haas
No.
Shane
Yeah. No.
Damien Haas
TV's Damien Haas. Hi.
Amanda
What?
Shane
And guys, this is technically the first episode of the Summer Games 2025.
Amanda
Wait, guys, look at this frickin sweatshirt. It's so cute. Smash. Summer Games. And look, I have my cute little name. Movie. Mandy.
Damien Haas
Oh, Mandy.
Shane
That's your. Your legal name?
Amanda
It's my legal name. I'm changing it. So my first name is going to be Movie.
Shane
When your mom named you Movie, it was like, you're going to be an.
Amanda
Actor, she's going to be a star.
Damien Haas
They're going to be a Hollywood kid. Turn out real normal.
Amanda
And Shane, you have your shirt.
Shane
Yeah.
Amanda
Which is your team name.
Shane
Yeah. The Hollywood Hot Dogs. Whoa. Okay.
Damien Haas
Those turned out great.
Amanda
Nobody asked for this.
Shane
The shirts are sick.
Damien Haas
That turned out fantastic.
Shane
The shirts are sick. Having been in all the Summer Games, I. I will say that usually I feel like one of the teams has a shirt that's not as cool looking as the other. This year, look, it was the case for most. But this year, both of them. Sick as hell.
Amanda
They're so sick.
Shane
Like, once the games are over, I'm going to be wearing both shirts all the time.
Damien Haas
It was sweater. Yes.
Shane
And this is. And then the other team is the sweaters.
Damien Haas
And there's only. It's so there's only one sweater. And we're going to. You can buy it at the end from me. I'm going to take it from.
Shane
It's going to be gross.
Damien Haas
It's going to smell like me. And if you're that person.
Amanda
Swords.
Damien Haas
What's up?
Amanda
It's gonna smell like swords.
Damien Haas
It's gonna smell. That's.
Shane
I really like what Damian smells like swords.
Damien Haas
I'm always bleeding. Why won't it stop?
Shane
Damian, what are you?
Damien Haas
In the Summer Games, what makes Damian tick? Oh, in the Summer Games, I am the superintendent. I am bringing everyone together for these.
Amanda
Games, which I'm so excited about. I feel like you're going to crush that role.
Damien Haas
Thank you so much. When I actually start to work on the character, it's gonna be killer.
Amanda
And I am also going to be working mainly with you because, you know, I can't really compete. And I don't know why. They just told me I couldn't. It's so weird. So weird. I'll talk to so weird. Talk to people. But I'm not on a team. I am also going to be a part of it in a character sense.
Damien Haas
Yes, you and I will both be part of it.
Amanda
Yeah, we'll be part of it. And we will not discuss. Discuss any more than that.
Damien Haas
Oh, I was gonna sort of do that.
Amanda
Oh, no. Yeah, go ahead. No, you can discuss it.
Damien Haas
No, I was gonna do the voice that you did.
Amanda
Oh, you were?
Damien Haas
If that's your character voice, we gotta talk. We should offline.
Shane
Oh, no.
Amanda
My character voice is way worse.
Shane
This is not the beef I expected in Summer Games because the real beef.
Damien Haas
Is in the hot dog.
Amanda
Oh, yeah. Available now. It's not gonna be about you guys. It's gonna be about Damian and I since we.
Shane
You guys are playing a big part in it.
Amanda
We are. And we're beefing.
Damien Haas
And we're beefing.
Shane
Before we talk any further though, about details, we should explain what Summer Games is because so many of our viewers probably don't know much about it because we haven't done a Summer Games in five years.
Damien Haas
That's crazy.
Shane
Is that why? Actually, sorry, I think it's six. Six years.
Amanda
And I've been at Smosh for five and a half years.
Shane
Yeah, you're.
Damien Haas
Missed it.
Amanda
And you're old.
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Amanda
And I'm young.
Shane
That's how it works.
Amanda
That's how it works.
Shane
You.
Damien Haas
You used the Retinol and now you're young.
Amanda
Yeah.
Shane
I should also be clear though. This Summer Games is going to be very different from previous Summer Games. Like this is a whole new thing. We're calling it Summer Games, but so much of it is a brand new type of series. I mean, it's being helmed by Kiana and others who weren't even around for the previous Summer Games. Really. So they are taking inspiration from a lot of the reality shows that are big these past few years. I. I am loving everything I'm hearing about. This is going to be.
Damien Haas
I will say regarding that when I was like, they were like, we have a character for you that we want you to be. And I was like, okay. And they were like, do you know blank from show? And I was like, no, I'll watch it in research. And so that's where it started is some reality show stuff. And then we went worked from there.
Shane
So fantastic.
Amanda
Hannah brought up that character to me and I was like, I feel like Damien would absolutely crush it. The outfits.
Damien Haas
It's Howie Mandel.
Amanda
No, it's not. No, it's not. Yeah.
Shane
And I think changing it up is gonna be good because we reacted to some previous Summer Games stuff recently, and it is, like, a reminder of. Of every single Summer Games game back in, like, 2018 was like, oh, you missed the dartboard. You have to put ice cream in your butt, and then you gotta eat it. We were watching. I was like, oh, my God, it's.
Damien Haas
Yeah. Watching it back. I mean, I didn't see. I wasn't in that particular episode. But, like, so much of it is, like, good thing.
Amanda
Punish God.
Damien Haas
Yeah. Which, thank goodness. But, like, it's just all punishment content. That was smosh in general because that was the Internet in general.
Shane
Like, true.
Damien Haas
You lost Mario Kart. Now we're going to hit you.
Amanda
Are you saying there's no punishment coming up in this summer?
Shane
I think. Look, I don't want to say what is or isn't in it, because I. I don't even know fully. There's a lot of secrets.
Amanda
There's gonna be a lot of punishment.
Shane
Okay.
Damien Haas
There's a lot of places you can.
Shane
Put ice cream, but I think lots of places. I think this one's gonna be from my understanding. I think. I think Kiana's taking a lot of inspiration from, like, traitors. Not in execution of it's gonna be like werewolf, but in how it's designed. And then I think there's gonna be a lot more, like, plot lines in this one.
Amanda
I think so too.
Shane
I don't think it's gonna all just be, like, compete world.
Damien Haas
Meh, slime.
Shane
I think it's gonna be. I think it's a lot of mind games this year. I think it's gonna be a lot of. Yeah. A lot more thinking and just a little more intricate.
Damien Haas
I think it's gonna be very. Based on the interactions between the people as opposed to, like, watch them get launched out of a cannon.
Shane
Yeah, exactly.
Damien Haas
Which could be fun.
Shane
We might have a cannon, though. Who knows?
Amanda
I think there is a cannon. You could. I think it's just me and Damian in it.
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
Welcome to Summer Games.
Amanda
And I come there, like, super pregnant.
Damien Haas
You land perfect, baby. Ta da.
Amanda
Welcome to Summer Games. It's, like, going to be Great British Bake off, but it's just you and me.
Damien Haas
You'll be the Paul Hollywood. Your eyes are pretty damn blue.
Shane
Okay. Ian's the Paul Hollywood.
Amanda
Are you Noah feeling. Are you. What's his name? Are you.
Damien Haas
I can be. I've got a weird enough wardrobe. I'll do it.
Amanda
Whoa.
Damien Haas
I just need to. I don't know, get way taller and real skinny. Is that. These are tall skinny jeans.
Amanda
Oh, those skinny jeans. Yeah. You just need skinny jeans.
Damien Haas
Yeah, yeah, I have them. I just can't. They don't fit my body.
Amanda
That's okay.
Damien Haas
I used to sell them all the time when I worked retail.
Amanda
Wow. And you'll be seeing things like this at Summer Games.
Shane
This is what it's all about. So the theme of Summer Games, because this is Smosh's 20th year. Wild Smosh started in 2005. So the theme of it is class of 2005.
Amanda
Yep.
Damien Haas
Feel like we probably should have said that before. I was like, I'm the superintendent.
Shane
Yeah. That doesn't mean anything to Anyone.
Amanda
Class of 2005. High school nostalgia vibes.
Shane
So people love to see a bunch of 30 year olds in high school. You know, that's what people love.
Damien Haas
Glee got like seven seasons.
Shane
It's Glee season eight.
Damien Haas
I Glee when I was in college. Hey, hey, I got my one line. So that's already.
Shane
But so we're going back. We're going back to high school and we're going back to 2005, specifically. I think that year is born a big inspiration.
Damien Haas
Trevor. I feel. I am predicting that Trevor is going to say a lot of things. That hurts our feelings.
Shane
I think Trevor wasn't even born in 2005.
Damien Haas
In 2000. Wasn't he?
Amanda
That's sick.
Shane
I. Disgusting.
Damien Haas
That's what I'm saying.
Shane
No, Trevor and Arasha are going to be. They're going to be the villains, of course.
Amanda
Because they're gonna go, I don't understand what's going on.
Shane
They're gonna be like, wow, I was a little baby.
Damien Haas
I'll probably suplex one of them if they say that.
Amanda
It's like, I'm so excited because I have never done Summer Games. You both have done Summer Games?
Shane
Yeah. Not many people have done Summer Games.
Amanda
Yeah. Most the cast.
Damien Haas
I've only done two.
Amanda
Wait, most the cast, I would say, has not done Summer Games.
Shane
Let's see. So Chance has never done Summer Games. Tommy has technically never really gotten to participate in Summer Games. Neither has Spencer. Spencer was never on a team. Angela was never on Summer Games. Arasha was never on Summer Games. Trevor was never on Summer Games. More than. I would say more. More than half of the. The cast.
Amanda
Someone's going to get hurt because you just listed all those people. And then they all went. My head. And went, oh, my God, they're all going to play Summer Games.
Damien Haas
Yeah. So here's no. But before. Yes, The Very first thing we did for my first Summer Games, we filmed that trailer for Wild West.
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
And Shane and I had to like, fight on a roof. And there was like a stunt where it's like, you want to fall off a roof and land on a pad. And I was like, hell yeah. I'm very new to this job and want to be a team player. Let's go. And like, when I first did it and landed on the pad, I like, looked up to be like.
Amanda
Yeah.
Damien Haas
And everyone was looking at me like, oh. And apparently I was like, this close to like hitting the tripod of the camera.
Shane
Your head, your skull and the camera were like, right next to each other. And you jumped off of a building.
Amanda
Wow.
Shane
And landed like that. No, it was. It was almost very bad.
Amanda
So that's not gonna happen.
Shane
And on that same shoot, I mean, people broke their hands.
Damien Haas
I had to get a tetanus shot.
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
Oh, yeah. There was bees.
Amanda
Oh.
Shane
I had to get a tetanus shot from a Summer Games.
Damien Haas
So this is a very different era of smosh.
Amanda
All right.
Shane
I forgot the first Summer Games. I stepped on a rusty nail.
Amanda
Yeah.
Shane
You know, that's. That's what Summer Games is all about, is getting tetanus. Yeah, that's what it's about. Hey, do we have a sponsor for this, for this video? We sure do. Amanda
Yeah, I hope it was Zoc, Doc. Because, guys, if you need to get a tennis shot, you know where to go.
Damien Haas
If you can't wait six months for an appointment to get a tetanus shot.
Shane
I think the goal of this summer games, one of us has to get a rabies shot.
Amanda
Oh, my God.
Shane
I want that.
Damien Haas
I want that.
Shane
Yeah, Run away from the squirrels.
Amanda
I'll pass it on to my kid. Come on. Immunity. Should we go over the teams? Can we say.
Shane
Okay, we're gonna. Let's. I'd say let's get into the teams and all of our predictions and stuff of the games in a little bit.
Damien Haas
Okay.
Shane
Oh, I first want to talk about 2005.
Damien Haas
Oh, that's the idea behind the year the Yankees won.
Shane
The year. The last year. The Yankees won't talk about the Yankees.
Amanda
We don't talk about the Yankees over here.
Shane
Okay. All right.
Amanda
The Yankees are disgusting. Oh, my God. I'm gonna get hurt for that.
Damien Haas
Shane, can we talk about these.
Amanda
Oh, hey. Derek Jeter. Oh, my God. He was on the Yankees.
Shane
I feel like it's okay.
Amanda
You're the time that I hated.
Shane
You're from Boston. You're supposed to hate the Yankees, right?
Amanda
No, we do hate the Yankees, Okay? It's a real thing. It's deep in our socks. I'm a Sox fan.
Damien Haas
You're a socks fan?
Amanda
Of course I'm a socks.
Shane
I love socks, too. They're great.
Damien Haas
Now, now, I just made this entirely a baseball.
Amanda
Are you joking? I'm a Red Sox fan, not a White Sox fan. Whoa. Nobody talks about the White Sox.
Damien Haas
Like the Celts.
Amanda
I like the Pats.
Damien Haas
Go, Socks.
Amanda
Yeah, Go, socks.
Damien Haas
Go to Cali.
Shane
You like the Celtics?
Amanda
I love the Celtics.
Shane
Hell, yeah.
Damien Haas
My grandmother named his son Bill Belichick.
Shane
What?
Amanda
Are you joking?
Shane
This is Bill Belichick for dinner?
Amanda
Come on, for dinner. We'll talk.
Damien Haas
We got to make it be some Cali.
Amanda
You show New York. Yeah. Anyways, hey, what's up?
Damien Haas
Play like.
Shane
We got copyright struck. The Drop Kick Murphy's dream. Drop kicked our podcast.
Amanda
That's literally every Fenway game, though. And people are like, every Boston person is, like, good. Yeah. And I'm like, guys, it's gonna be okay. Dropkick Murphy's. It's the anthem.
Damien Haas
Okay.
Amanda
Shipping off to Boston. You're done.
Shane
Hell, yeah, you're done. All right, so 2005. 2005.
Amanda
2005.
Shane
What a year.
Damien Haas
The year. The Yankees.
Shane
The Yankees.
Amanda
I need to hear where you guys were in 2005.
Shane
So 2005. I was still in Middle school.
Amanda
Okay. Fun.
Shane
So that's fine. I get to go back and be in high school in 2005. I also never got to go to high school, so. Okay. Forgive me for wanting to experience it. But 2005, let's see. I was. Yeah, I was in seventh grade, I think seventh or eighth grade. So I was still in school before I started homeschooling, But I was into acting. I had maybe done a little bit.
Amanda
Nice.
Shane
I had an agent at this time, but I was doing Arizona stuff.
Amanda
Wild.
Shane
I was in the Arizona market. But this is pre icarly. Shane.
Damien Haas
Wow.
Shane
So I had no identity.
Amanda
Who are you?
Damien Haas
Who I was before is gone now.
Shane
I was really into. I was really into World of Warcraft. Or. No, I had not started playing World of Warcraft yet.
Damien Haas
Okay.
Shane
I didn't get to play it the first year it came out. I was playing it in 2006.
Damien Haas
I feel in 2005, I would have turned 15. At the end of the year, I think I was in high school. So it might have been the eighth grade to ninth grade.
Shane
Okay. Was it that pipeline?
Damien Haas
Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Damn school pipeline.
Shane
The middle school is so weird.
Damien Haas
It's getting.
Amanda
When you go from middle school to high school and your sister's friends are there and they're like, oh, my God, is your little sister here? And you're like, I had a seven.
Damien Haas
Year difference, so thankfully nobody knew. And there was no baggage of, like, anything.
Amanda
I had like a two year, two year down and two year up. No, it's always like, don't date my sister.
Shane
Whoa.
Amanda
Yeah. Wild things.
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
I, I Shane. Kind of the middle ground between y'. All. Because I went to high school, like traditional high school for two years, and then I did a distance learning program for the last two for the sake of, you know, being able to act and go on auditions. Yeah, all that good stuff. I was in the Atlanta market.
Shane
Hey.
Damien Haas
Hey.
Amanda
Wow. Actually.
Shane
Actually good market.
Damien Haas
It was.
Shane
This is before.
Damien Haas
Fine. And now it's way better. Literally the moment I moved, immediately after I moved, the town next to us was like, oh, they're building a huge studio and they're gonna do the Walking Dead and Wars. And I was supposed to be the stand in for one of the. I think it's Vampire Diaries. Yeah. For one of the Vampire Diaries characters, the one that looked like teenage Damien. But I was like, no, I'm gonna go to college instead. So I moved. That was like my first. Like, I'm gonna be on set. Ah, never mind. So.
Amanda
Whoa, that's awesome. Mine was completely opposite of that. I wish I knew. I knew I wanted to be an actor, but it was not. No one discussed that. That was not a possibility in my world at all. It was like, which woods party are you going to?
Damien Haas
You were in the Boston.
Amanda
How many beers are you bringing?
Shane
The Boston Market.
Amanda
Wait. Shane and I just talked about Boston Market.
Damien Haas
Wait, y' all want to get turkey after this?
Shane
I don't think it's around anymore.
Amanda
But we talked about Boston Market, which is basically Thanksgiving dinner whenever you want.
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Shane
Yeah.
Amanda
That's Boston Market.
Damien Haas
My goal today is derailing us as much as possible.
Shane
I love it.
Amanda
We just discussed Boston Market.
Shane
Summer games is sponsored by Boston Market.
Damien Haas
So there's one left.
Amanda
He's like, you'd go there for a light lunch and you're like mashed potatoes with roast chicken.
Shane
You go to the last Boston Market, and that rotisserie chicken's been going for years.
Damien Haas
Sorry.
Amanda
That's Boston Market for you. Yeah. That was essentially where I was at. I was a little bit older. I think I was heading into my last year at school. What is that, 12th grade?
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Amanda
Am I crazy?
Shane
You were a senior in 2005.
Amanda
I was going to be a senior.
Shane
Junior into senior.
Amanda
Yeah. Graduated in 2006.
Shane
Okay.
Amanda
So I was going in.
Shane
So you're both a junior and a senior.
Amanda
Yeah, I was a junior.
Damien Haas
So if you graduate in 2006, I was class of 09, which means three years down. So I would have been a sophomore, which means you might have been a freshman at that time.
Shane
I could have sworn. Maybe. I guess. I, I, I don't know your life. It's possible.
Damien Haas
I don't know.
Shane
I was around the eighth grade. Freshman.
Amanda
Okay.
Shane
Era.
Damien Haas
Okay.
Amanda
So I was older.
Shane
It's hard to remember because I didn't go to a physical high school. So, like, that kind of all blurs together.
Damien Haas
Is it, is it anybody else, like teenage years, like maybe like 6 years old to, like, late teenager? It's all just a blur.
Shane
Yeah. I don't remember anything.
Amanda
I don't, I remember it.
Damien Haas
I feel like you're both joking. And now I'm.
Amanda
I don't know. I don't know who he's texting right now.
Shane
I'm looking up, I'm looking up facts about 2005.
Damien Haas
I'm looking up if trauma makes you forget.
Amanda
Oh, wait. Ok. Give me facts because then I can attach it to a memory.
Shane
Okay. I want to. Let's, let's go to some pop culture of 2005. What do we think were Some of the biggest songs of 2005. What do you think about?
Damien Haas
I think like, Peace up, a Town down.
Amanda
Whoa. Or Chingy Holiday Inn.
Damien Haas
Oh, yeah.
Amanda
Am I right?
Damien Haas
Soulja Boy.
Shane
Soulja Boy. I don't think Soulja Boy was a thing yet.
Damien Haas
Is that too. Is that too soon?
Shane
No. Okay, so. So here's.
Damien Haas
Hey, was. That was too early.
Shane
That's a little bit earlier. So big one, 2005. I. I feel like this was earlier, but. Lose Control by Missy Elliott.
Amanda
Get out of here. Yeah, we all love that song.
Damien Haas
Everybody's dancing off, off camera to, like, a song that is not playing.
Shane
I Feel Good by Gorillas.
Damien Haas
Got it. Feel good, Dude.
Amanda
I loved the girl.
Shane
We can't. We cannot do it. I love the Gorillas also, I think Shake it Off by Mariah Carey. Oh, Don't Funk With My Heart by the Black Eyed Peas.
Amanda
The Black Eyed Peas were lit.
Damien Haas
Oh, Apple D app.
Shane
You guys want to Hear the most 2005 song of all time? Sugar, we're going down swinging.
Damien Haas
Oh, my God. Okay. There we go.
Shane
Yeah. That was the only time that you.
Amanda
Were like, I will date that punk boy. I will. I will marry that punk boy. And then you're like, is that also a fever?
Damien Haas
You can't sweat out panic at the disco at the same time. Oh, that would have been. That's when it was like, for me.
Shane
Beverly Hills Weezer, of course, the guys with, like, the. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Amanda
Anthony, essentially, you were like, I love Anthony's haircut was.
Shane
That was the coolest haircut you could ever have in 2005.
Damien Haas
That's what I wanted. My hair was too poofy.
Shane
Yeah.
Amanda
You never needed to see this eye. And you were still into it.
Damien Haas
It's like, what are you hiding? You're so mysterious.
Shane
God, what a. What a year. You had pwned a replay by Rihanna.
Amanda
That was when. Why'd you say it like that?
Shane
Pwn to replay.
Amanda
I'm sorry. Huh?
Shane
I said pon.
Damien Haas
He's doing. He's doing the other 2005 Lego of, like, Pone. Like, PWL.
Shane
Pwned the noobs. Replay.
Amanda
I'd love for you to repeat that.
Shane
Pwn to replay by Rihanna.
Amanda
Who are you? I don't know who you are. This accent is wild.
Shane
Pon de replay.
Damien Haas
Pon de replay.
Shane
Is it pawn to replay?
Amanda
No, it's whatever you need it to be. Cause that just made my day.
Shane
I'm sorry. I mean, back in 2005 where we said pwn all the time.
Damien Haas
Pone da banhammer. Mr. DJ Pon da banhammer.
Amanda
Pon de Replay by Rihanna. I love who you are right now.
Shane
I've been saying that for 20 years. Pon de replay.
Amanda
Hey, DJ, can you put a Pon de Replay? You're like the Dose Equis guy. My God, what island do you own?
Damien Haas
I feel bad.
Shane
Cause this is. I don't always hit the replay, but when I do, it's porn de replay.
Damien Haas
You're, like, doing Red Stripe. Hooray. Beer.
Amanda
Oh, he's dying. He's gonna break that shirt. Okay.
Damien Haas
It's a good shirt.
Amanda
So this is Rihanna's first. Isn't this Rihanna's first album?
Shane
That's her first hit song. And that was. That was played, I think I was definitely. I was in middle school at some part of 2005, because I remember that song coming on.
Amanda
This was like prom songs, too.
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
Y' all went to prom.
Amanda
I went to prom. I went to. I went to earlier prom, and then I think I went to prom.
Damien Haas
What's earlier prom?
Amanda
I think I went to prom three times. So I went each time.
Damien Haas
Oh, snap.
Amanda
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shane
Nice.
Damien Haas
Yeah, I went to homecoming once.
Shane
I went to two homecomings.
Amanda
Very cool.
Damien Haas
Yeah, thanks.
Amanda
Was it at home?
Shane
Well, it was a home.
Amanda
Were you in your kitchen? Homecoming.
Damien Haas
Solid roast. That's so good.
Amanda
I am a dickhead today.
Damien Haas
No, it's funny. It's great. You can do whatever you want.
Amanda
Sorry, owner. Replay broke my brain. And now we're on a different path anyways. Yeah, that felt like prom music or homecoming music.
Shane
Yeah, yeah, it was.
Amanda
What was. What was the main movie?
Shane
What was the main movie?
Damien Haas
I feel like the Dark Knight was 2006.
Shane
I think Dark Knight was 2005, because.
Damien Haas
I feel like I drove.
Amanda
That's so long ago.
Damien Haas
Which would have been.
Shane
I'm 16 biggest movies, 2005. Oh, dude. Revenge of the Sith was 2005.
Damien Haas
So good.
Amanda
Yeah.
Damien Haas
When the Sith are like, we'll get you.
Shane
They're like, we're gonna get you. They're like, pwn. The replay.
Damien Haas
Yeah. And they're like, what did you say?
Amanda
Don't do it.
Damien Haas
So it was gonna get his copyright struck.
Shane
It was Batman begins in 2005.
Damien Haas
I'm such an idiot.
Amanda
Oh, no, Batman Begins is the last one.
Shane
No, it's the first Christopher Nolan.
Amanda
First Christopher Nolan.
Shane
That's the first Christopher Nolan one.
Damien Haas
That would be a crazy way to.
Amanda
End your Batman Begins. It's like, oh, great, we get to hear Batman's story. But it's over. Batman.
Damien Haas
Jebin button. It goes in reverse.
Amanda
Wait, I did trivia last night, and I have to say you're.
Shane
This.
Damien Haas
You're going to hear this.
Amanda
I have to say. The highest grossing. The highest grossing live action, non. Non animated movie in this. In this decade is the Batman. That's it.
Shane
Not Avatar.
Amanda
Nope. It was the Batman. Robert said this girl with cool sunglasses who was running trivia last night.
Damien Haas
I don't.
Shane
And she is highest grossing movie in the.
Amanda
Jamie, can we Google that's live action, non animated.
Shane
So are they saying Avatar 2 is an animated movie?
Amanda
I don't know.
Damien Haas
I think Nudge keeps in.
Amanda
In the. In the. In the. In from 220. I shouldn't have brought this up.
Damien Haas
I think we should.
Shane
I think you were lied to. I. I think this trivia night was just like liars.
Amanda
Well, she wore her sunglasses that night, so maybe.
Damien Haas
Can we talk about Nudge, the Chinese animated film that is, like, the most highest grossing in the world, but America, we're just like, no, it's not.
Amanda
I've never heard of it.
Damien Haas
Exactly.
Amanda
It's crazy, right? Am I right?
Damien Haas
You got to check it out.
Amanda
Oh, my God. I lost so many points last night because she was just wrong.
Damien Haas
Yeah. What was it? Yeah.
Shane
Avatar 2. I don't.
Amanda
We would have taken home the gold.
Shane
I don't think Avatar 2 counts as an animated movie because there is live action in it.
Amanda
And she said live action, non animated. And she said the Batman.
Damien Haas
It's not. It's not animated. I think she was right.
Amanda
We can move on.
Damien Haas
Doesn't that suck? Okay, speaking of high school. It does it. I don't know if it was an issue for y'.
Shane
All.
Damien Haas
High five. But. Because I don't always.
Shane
Because I think Endgame would also beat it too, because Endgame was.
Amanda
That's what I guess. But I thought. I think end game was 2019 or 2018.
Shane
Infinity War was 2019.
Damien Haas
I was in high school then.
Amanda
Guys, we can move on.
Shane
2019 was end game.
Amanda
Yeah.
Shane
Okay.
Damien Haas
We're talking about 2020 on, and that's what caused Cove.
Shane
So 2025.
Damien Haas
Well, I was gonna say, like, in. In high school, did you all ever, like, have the urge to correct a teacher?
Shane
No, I never would have.
Amanda
No.
Shane
Did you? Did you?
Amanda
I know that you did.
Damien Haas
So I learned by high school that that's not great, but, like, what I didn't understand before was not like. Actually, it was never that. It was like, oh, man, you have that info wrong. Don't you want to know the thing that is different?
Shane
Oh, you're doing your job bad.
Damien Haas
Yeah. Well, now I know that. I didn't mean to be a piece of shit, Shane.
Amanda
No, listen, your husband is exactly the fucking same way.
Shane
But here's the thing.
Damien Haas
And her husband is married.
Amanda
And he found his way.
Damien Haas
Sounds like he found his way. Sounds like. He's doing just fine. Shane.
Amanda
He's there. He's doing fine. No, I get it. Sometimes he corrects people and I go, why did you do that? That was so uncomfortable for me. And he goes, because that person's walking around with the wrong information. And I was like, okay, it's a balance.
Damien Haas
But I remember like a teacher. I don't know. Like, I don't know.
Amanda
Yeah, what did you correct her on?
Damien Haas
I remember like a teacher was like, yeah, the. The three headed dog of the underworld is Cerebus. And I'm like, oh, no, it's. It's Cerberus. Like, you have the letters flipped. She, like, spelled it wrong on the board.
Amanda
Oh, God. Was she mortified?
Damien Haas
She was pissed. Oh, yeah. No, she didn't love it.
Amanda
Oh, so you did it in front of everyone?
Damien Haas
Yeah. I didn't understand.
Shane
There's really no other option.
Amanda
Well, you could have.
Shane
I think it's more embarrassing to pull the teacher aside, be like, hey, teach.
Amanda
Can I talk to you?
Damien Haas
Can we sidebar real quick? Can I.
Amanda
Hey, teach, can I get.
Shane
What the fuck was that?
Amanda
Shut that door and put the blind on the circle real quick.
Shane
Hey. So you said. What did you just say?
Amanda
And then he went, did you do that?
Shane
Yeah, Damien did that.
Amanda
I'm kidding.
Damien Haas
And then I had a distance learning program for the last two years of high school.
Amanda
I'm kidding.
Shane
What are you doing?
Damien Haas
Very strict rules. It wasn't my home. I lived there. It wasn't my house, though. It was two years and I had to beat either.
Amanda
Oh, my God.
Shane
And then you're correcting the officers and they did not.
Damien Haas
I was being corrected. They were the correcting officers. I. I think this is what they were called. And keep it in.
Amanda
Keep it all in.
Damien Haas
I didn't hear.
Shane
Okay. Speaking of correct and incorrect.
Amanda
Uhhuh.
Shane
This next thing I'm very excited about. All right, so in school you have folders and you have different colors for every subject or notebooks.
Damien Haas
Oh, there's a right color for every subject.
Shane
What are the colors that you associate with? With every subject. Let's start with math, because I have. This has been my answer my entire life, but I feel like we're all going to have different ones.
Damien Haas
Math is red and two different people.
Amanda
Math is red.
Shane
Math was Always blue for me.
Amanda
Are you crazy?
Shane
Math is blue.
Damien Haas
That's weird.
Amanda
Math is red.
Shane
Do I have anybody else in here who thinks math is blue?
Damien Haas
Shane, I would rather find out you're colorblind right now and have a little sunshine moment with you, then this be your take.
Amanda
This is really sad. We're worried about you.
Shane
Math is blue. I've got a couple people in here who agree. Selena, what is math to you?
Amanda
Green.
Damien Haas
Green is out of your mind. Okay, let's go.
Shane
You're out of your mind.
Amanda
What?
Damien Haas
Let's go bit by bit here.
Amanda
Well, math is red. Math is red because red is hard.
Shane
What did you.
Amanda
Red is numbers. Red is numbers, and red is blood.
Damien Haas
Red is blood with numbers. Okay, then you say. You say math is blue.
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
I have. I have a subject that I believe is blue. We'll see if everyone else agrees or. Unless you want to do it a different way.
Shane
No, no, that's fine. But let's move on to the next subject.
Damien Haas
Okay.
Shane
Another.
Amanda
We're not going to discuss how insane he is. Okay.
Damien Haas
I mean, I think we did.
Shane
You're also saying Brennan's insane.
Amanda
Yeah, no, Brennan's cool. You are.
Damien Haas
Brennan's been at smosh for, like, 10 years. You have to be a little crazy to do that.
Shane
So there's only three people in here who say math is blue.
Damien Haas
Everyone else was red.
Shane
Everyone else was saying red. No. Nobody else. Oh, James was saying.
Amanda
That's all that matters.
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Shane
Okay. Red.
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Shane
Wow. Okay.
Amanda
So what was blue for you?
Damien Haas
Blue was English or literature.
Amanda
Yep. Me, too.
Damien Haas
Thank you. Me, too.
Amanda
Absolutely. English or literature?
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Amanda
Why? Because blue is warm. Blue is water. Blue is fluid.
Shane
Blue is literally not English.
Damien Haas
Blue is the words. Blue is the warmest color.
Amanda
Right. Blue is not warm, but blue is the warmest color. That's a warm movie.
Damien Haas
Bluey is a show for everyone.
Shane
True.
Damien Haas
Blue is for everyone. Blue gives us clues. Blue opens up our mind.
Shane
Blue does give us.
Amanda
I know. Blue is a cold color.
Shane
Blue is just math to me. I don't know why it was always numbers.
Damien Haas
So you just swapped them.
Amanda
So what's red for you?
Shane
So everything else was English. Red was English slash history.
Amanda
You do not mix those two together.
Shane
Okay. Red.
Damien Haas
Because.
Amanda
Read a doubt. Start.
Damien Haas
And if you think that.
Amanda
And if you think that that's why.
Damien Haas
You failed, that's why you failed. Because they're spelled different. And that's the subject.
Shane
And I go, I read a book and I read means red.
Damien Haas
You're like, math means meth. Math means meth. And that's why I'm fast. Meth is blue only in Breaking Bad. And his name is Walter White. And he's Jesse Pinkman.
Amanda
Jesse Pinkman. And blue is English.
Shane
It's a TV show.
Amanda
I know. I said movie.
Damien Haas
I fucked up. She's pregnant.
Amanda
I'm pregnant. Pregnancy brain.
Shane
What?
Amanda
I don't know where I am right now. Good morning.
Shane
Okay, all right, all right.
Amanda
Because you're insane that you mixed history.
Shane
Okay, so we just have those swaps together? Sure, we just have those swaps. Now, here's what. Here's where I'm worried about our producer, Selena. She said, green is math. Green is science.
Damien Haas
Green is science.
Shane
Green is science.
Amanda
No, no, no, no, no.
Shane
Green is science.
Amanda
Yellow is science. What?
Damien Haas
Yellow is social studies and history.
Amanda
That's insane. Why green is social studies and history? Cause money. Money is geography.
Shane
There's economics.
Damien Haas
That's different geography. There's a lot of dirt, which is yellow.
Amanda
We don't do economics.
Damien Haas
You just said money.
Shane
Oh, and speaking of money.
Amanda
What?
Shane
Well, hey, it's me again. To tell you that this episode is brought to you by Rocket Money. Amanda
Oh, my gosh.
Damien Haas
I learned a lot about geography.
Amanda
Me, too. Money.
Damien Haas
We're. We're gents of science. And that's green.
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
And social studies and history is.
Shane
Well, history, I said was also red is red. I'd also put yellow. Yellow and red are kind of like. I just put those in more of the. The arts. Right. Like yellow and red were always like more History's art. I think it's more.
Damien Haas
You think geography is money?
Amanda
Yeah, of course. Geography is money. You have to buy land.
Damien Haas
Thank God you guys are funny because we've been. We've ended up here.
Amanda
Don't you. Don't you start.
Damien Haas
We all ended up here and we're so lucky.
Shane
Yellow and red were kind of like anything to do with where you're more reading. Like so history, literature, social studies. I kind of put them all in those categories. And then green is science. And green would just be. The science is. So I would probably.
Damien Haas
Yeah. Chemistry.
Shane
I didn't really have like other subjects. So. Wait, what was. What was. So you said what was science for you?
Amanda
Blue.
Shane
Science was blue.
Amanda
What?
Damien Haas
I think science makes. I think that blue makes more sense for science than yellow.
Amanda
It would be history.
Damien Haas
I will. Okay, question. Did you guys ever get the book covers that had like designs on them? Because for my like science book I there were like these little like sleeves to cover it where it had like planets on it. And I would do that stuff.
Shane
Oh, that's cool. Oh, you could also do the Lisa Frank situation where it's like what's. What's math? Oh, well, math is pink, green, red, blue, yellow. Like it's just all Trapper keeper. Math is dolphins.
Amanda
I loved Lisa Frank, but that was a Trapper keeper or at home I had stationery. I would write letters to my cousin who lived in Jersey and I used Lisa Frank. Then Lisa Frank you wouldn't really bring to school.
Damien Haas
You know what I will say I do have. I still have it. A binder from like early elementary school days. It was Sonic and Knuckles, like the video game for the Sega Genesis.
Shane
And Sonic is math and Knuckles is literature.
Damien Haas
And he's also. He hits things. Yeah, which is what I corrected the teacher with Cerberus.
Amanda
You corrected the teacher again.
Damien Haas
No, the first time she.
Shane
Your teacher was like, please cut Knuckles. He goes fast, fast. And you're like, well he can glide.
Damien Haas
Cuz he has locks.
Amanda
You're like, hey teach, can you shut the door and put down the blinds? Let me tell you.
Shane
I got to talk a little bit.
Damien Haas
Teach you a little bit about Miles Tails Prow. The joke is his name is Miles per hour. It's cuz he's fast too. But anyway, I have that binder and that was pretty cool. And it was for all subjects. So I did bring it to school and it's not in good condition because it's from many years ago.
Amanda
And did you kind of rip the sides when you were listening to lectures? Cuz mine was all ripped all over the sides. That's why I kept my nice Lisa Frank at home.
Damien Haas
So my family had a hole punch that we used to like organize things and keep things in binders. And my parents were like, let's. But it was like an early, like, I don't know, fucking Soviet hole punch.
Shane
Where it's like just all iron and.
Damien Haas
The holes were huge. So everything I punched was like. And it just. It ruined it because it's like a 2 centimeter hole on three times in your binder. Everything's just exploded.
Shane
Families don't have hole punches anymore.
Amanda
Families don't have office supplies.
Shane
We just don't have them anymore.
Amanda
Mom, do you have tape? She's like, when in what world would I ever have tape? And you're like, when we were kids, you had to have everything.
Shane
You had a stapler.
Damien Haas
I've been organizing. I've been organizing my streaming room and I finally collected all of the office supplies into a little box. I do have a stapler. I got a bunch of tape, bunch of different expo markers.
Shane
Well, that's the kind of content you're doing on your Twitch channel.
Damien Haas
Yeah, I run a professional business.
Amanda
You need a stapler.
Shane
Staple all your paper stuff you're doing stapling content.
Damien Haas
It's what I staple on my business.
Shane
Yeah, stapling. Asmr.
Damien Haas
It's asmr. I say like, you did a good job today.
Amanda
Staple. Staple. Staple. Staple.
Damien Haas
I don't know, I just feel like I always end up needing something and I have like a laminator. I have a printer.
Amanda
A laminator.
Damien Haas
I mean, I run. I'm a professional. Amanda, thank you. I mean I work very hard. I try to.
Amanda
You're doing well.
Shane
Who of our. Of the entire cast who are competing in the games, who would be the most likely to have a rolling backpack?
Amanda
I love this question so deeply. But it's not just a rolling backpack. It has to be a little stuffed animal hook hooked, chained on to the back and maybe a trench coat. I don't know.
Damien Haas
Well, that changes.
Shane
Trench coat is Spencer.
Damien Haas
That's very different.
Amanda
You're right.
Shane
Trench coat is 2005. Spencer was. Spencer was at least hoping just a rolling suitcase.
Amanda
That's it. We're not gonna rolling backpack. We're not gonna.
Shane
We can do. We can do other things. But rolling backpack, I would say.
Damien Haas
Honestly, I would say Courtney.
Shane
I. I'm gonna say no. I think it's a Rasha.
Damien Haas
Arasha.
Shane
I think Arasha. Rolling backpack.
Amanda
Arasha would have a bunch of files. She'd have, like, the accordion file thing, and she's like.
Damien Haas
I think Arasha is, like, a very high achiever, but, like, didn't put in that effort of, like, everything has to be organized. I think she sort of like. I was kind of, like, in school in general, I kind of flew by the seat of my pants, but I was like, it worked out. That's great. I feel like Arasha's probably the same way.
Shane
Interesting. I. I had a pseudo rolling backpack situation because I was in band, so I had my. My saxophone that I had to bring.
Damien Haas
That's right.
Shane
Back and forth to school.
Amanda
In band, I played violin for a little bit, and then I got really into.
Damien Haas
You dodged the question. Are you in band?
Amanda
No.
Damien Haas
Okay.
Shane
I was in band.
Amanda
I. I wasn't in band. I'm so sorry.
Damien Haas
I was in chorus.
Shane
Oh.
Amanda
I did church choir.
Damien Haas
Oh, is that where you also played violin?
Amanda
Oh, I did church choir. Trust me, I sang to the Lord every single week.
Shane
Like Forrest Gump.
Amanda
Pretty much, yeah.
Shane
Wow.
Amanda
And I did all the Christmas specials. I was in that church for a long time, singing. Singing my heart out.
Shane
And that's actually really cool.
Amanda
That's my daughter.
Shane
That's actually really cool.
Amanda
And I was like.
Damien Haas
A lot of people's first, like, theater performance experiences come from church, like, because I, you know, I grew up in a very religious area, and I would do community theater, and people would be like, oh, yeah, I did my church play, and I can't this time. I'm doing my church.
Amanda
Yeah, we did a lot of church stuff, but, no, I was not in band.
Damien Haas
Wow.
Amanda
But I did play piano and violin.
Shane
Whoa.
Amanda
Yeah.
Shane
Do you think you're still good at them?
Amanda
Violin? No, sir.
Shane
But piano, you think you could. You could.
Amanda
I need a refresher. I would need a refresher.
Damien Haas
Just bust out some beef oven.
Shane
No, I. I was never very good at alto sax. I. I did my best, but it's hard.
Damien Haas
But knowing you, Shane, I. I think you judge yourself very hard. I wouldn't be surprised if there was, like, a tape that reemerged where it was like, damn, Shane, you're really good. And you're like, yeah, I was okay.
Shane
Like, I was responsible for some squeaks in some of our concerts.
Damien Haas
You brought in a bunch of.
Shane
We'd have those concerts that I'm not gonna lie. There was some concerts where we would do it in the auditorium, and all our parents are there. And there were some songs where I was like, look, I've not nailed this. I'm gonna sit this one out and just pretend I'm playing. It'll be better if I don't participate. No, you can't tell.
Amanda
You sure about that?
Shane
I knew I. I would say I knew enough about being in ban and saxophone that I knew when I could sit out. And you're not gonna be able to tell.
Amanda
If you were my son, I would be like, he's not playing right now.
Shane
I can tell.
Amanda
I can tell.
Shane
Those cheeks, they're not puffed up.
Damien Haas
Gucci shirt. Can I tell a really funny story about band in elementary school?
Amanda
Sure.
Damien Haas
They started the band program in elementary school. If you were in fifth grade, you could do it. I did not. But, like, most of the fifth graders were like, oh, my God, band. Like, yeah, I want to do this. And so because they're in fifth grade and there's so many of them, they ended up putting on a performance, and they could not coordinate, like, harmonies, melodies, anything. Every instrument played the same note of the song and very slowly. So when we, like, got brought in for an assembly, the entire thing was like. And it was like 30 minutes, and I was like. And so I just never joined band because I saw that, and I was like, I don't think I wanted to be a part of this at all.
Amanda
I love young people trying to pull it together with music. There's nothing funnier than watching the teacher be like, come on.
Damien Haas
Every note was an orchestral hits, like, the favorite sound effect.
Shane
There is nothing funnier than, like, I know fifth grade's not like little kids, but, like, little kid. Like, band performances or singing performances are.
Amanda
Hilarious because they're so nervous. And they go up there and you're like, you are off key, girls. But you look fantastic. Mom dressed you up. You look so good. Like, my niece is in, like, a full dance thing, and she has, like, bright red lipstick on, and she's like. And I'm like, what's happening here?
Shane
It's my favorite thing when there's videos of, like, kids when they see their parents and they get excited and then they have too much emotion. So they'll be like, there. They'll just be like.
Amanda
They'll be like, yeah, they can't handle that. And they lose. They lose all the steps.
Damien Haas
They're not built for that level of any of the situation. Like, you shouldn't be Performing too many people steps.
Amanda
And there's definitely one girl who, like, knows all the steps down to a T. And she's like, get it together.
Shane
Yeah. Oh, it's so funny. No. Whenever I get to see, like, any footage from my nieces and nephew, like, in plays, especially when they were really young, it's the funniest shit on the planet.
Amanda
It's so funny.
Shane
It is so funny. And they're like, they're like, check it out. I'm the tree. And I'm like, you're. And you're killing it.
Amanda
Yeah, you're killing it. You're not doing anything. But two hours later, I'm loving it. When's intermission?
Shane
I did just need three glasses of wine. You are savant.
Damien Haas
You're gonna. Can you drive me home?
Shane
Hey, can you drive me home, kid?
Damien Haas
You did just remind me of the story of high school theater for me. Because I. Because I did acting outside of school, they, like, let me audition for. There were like five levels of drama classes in my school, and I got to jump in as a freshman after auditioning with, like, the senior class and like, the higher ones. So I was able to be a part of that play. But they were the, like, main event. This was their time. They'd gone through. They were seniors. Yeah, I was a freshman. So I played this, like, really old man that, like the entire play they're talking about, like, this guy is going to show up. Like, be careful. It's not like Waiting for Godot, but it's just like, he's going to be here. We have to fix everything before he gets here. And like, at the very end, last two minutes, I'm like, supposed to walk on the cane and be like, hello? Is anyone there? Is anyone here? I can't hear you. I can't see anything. And there's a trap door that I'm supposed to fall down with stairs. So I'm supposed to like, really quickly, like, shuffle down the stairs and be like, oh. And do like a pratfall. But the night of the actual performance, I didn't like, I missed it and I full on just fell down the stairs. And everyone afterwards was like, you killed it. Like, that was so funny. It looked like you fell. And I'm just like.
Amanda
Like, I did.
Damien Haas
Like that blood is from something else. I didn't fall at all. Like, it's fine.
Amanda
You're supposed to be an old man. You're like.
Shane
It's like, oh. There is truly nothing more terrifying than like, live theater.
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Shane
It is the scariest Spider man play.
Damien Haas
Kept knocking people out.
Amanda
Oh, my God. Are you talking about the one on Broadway? Yeah.
Shane
It's devastating.
Damien Haas
The cursed Spider man play.
Shane
Oh, my God.
Amanda
Okay, wait, I will say, I know this is crazy long ago, but I think Olivia would have a rolling back.
Shane
Olivia definitely could.
Damien Haas
Yep.
Shane
Olivia could. And she would not care what people said.
Amanda
She wouldn't give an F. She'd be like this.
Shane
Yeah. Anyone said anything to her, Truly, like what?
Damien Haas
It's fine. I can ride it.
Shane
All right, I think it's time we talk about the teams.
Amanda
Yeah. Like, who is on your team?
Shane
Okay, so first off, there's the Hollywood hot dogs versus the downtown dairy cows. All right. Rival high schools, we love that.
Damien Haas
Are Hollywood hot dogs. The ones where, like, they're street vendors and you get out an event and there's nothing. Nothing that's ever smelled better in your life, and you're just like, damn.
Shane
Yeah.
Amanda
And then the dairy. The dairy cows are just the. The people with milk at the events, and it's been hot.
Damien Haas
That's the downtown fashion district. And they're like, do you want to buy fabric or milk?
Amanda
Well, love that. That's fancy.
Shane
These got to be the coolest high school mascots I've ever seen. Nobody's looks this cool. No, they're always like the. The off brand. NFL logo.
Amanda
Yeah.
Shane
It's like, oh, yeah.
Damien Haas
And 99 of them are also tied to, like, you're like, this is a warrior. And you look back and you're like, what Was it named 10 years ago?
Shane
Yeah, it's a warrior. It's just a warrior. It's always been just psychical warrior. Okay, so on the Hollywood hot dogs, we've got me.
Amanda
Oh, okay. Fun. Yeah.
Damien Haas
Let's talk team.
Amanda
I think that they'll do.
Shane
Okay, we got me. We got Trevor.
Damien Haas
Damn.
Amanda
Whoa.
Shane
We got Noah.
Amanda
Whoa.
Shane
We got Keith.
Amanda
Whoa.
Shane
We got a Rasha.
Amanda
Oh, my God.
Shane
And we got Angela.
Damien Haas
Damn.
Amanda
You guys are an insane crew.
Shane
All star team right there.
Amanda
Yeah, it is.
Damien Haas
That's a stack team because. So you would be. I think you're the tank.
Shane
I think I'm the Reinhardt. And then, you know, I think, like, Keith is the. The. You know, he's support. He's like.
Damien Haas
He'll, like, rally you, get you guys, like, like a stat boost.
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
I think Trevor could be DPS if he puts his mind to it.
Shane
Yeah. Arash is like a. Like a healer.
Damien Haas
Healer, like tactician. Yeah.
Shane
Or liar.
Damien Haas
Liar.
Amanda
I think Arasha's gonna be very competitive. I think she's gonna be Mined.
Shane
Before we talk about that team, let's go over to the other team.
Amanda
Oh, yeah.
Shane
And list that one. Out on the downtown Dairy Cows. We have Chance. Well, Courtney.
Amanda
Oh, my gosh.
Shane
Ian. Wow. Olivia.
Damien Haas
Okay.
Shane
Spencer and Tommy.
Amanda
Whoa. Totally different vibe team, though.
Shane
Vibes.
Amanda
This is like, this is also such a badass team, but I feel like this is like a. They all feel like independent minds that are coming together to try to be like, this is what I'm bringing to the table.
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Amanda
You know what I mean?
Damien Haas
And even within that, like, hot dog team has Angela. And I think Angela's like a wild card.
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
But a very energetic wild card. Whereas the Dairy Cows has Olivia, who is a wild card but much more, like, subdued. It's like you're just gonna pull out a win out of nowhere.
Amanda
Exactly.
Damien Haas
And we didn't realize it, but Chance.
Amanda
Chance is gonna be super powered up. I think it's smart.
Damien Haas
That can be competitive too.
Amanda
I think it's smart that they split Chance up with Angela a Rasha, because I feel like that's going to cause some amazing.
Shane
Chance and Angela. That could be the beef of the games.
Damien Haas
It actually could be dog.
Shane
It could be the hot dog. That's kind of what I'm also thinking. I'm like, what are the rivalries we're going to see? And Angela and Chance is pretty crazy.
Damien Haas
They can be on the same team and there's going to be a rivalry. Like, it'll show up and be like, all right, everybody. Like, we're going to try to win this game together. And angel will be like, no, fuck you. I'm going to do the most. You'll be like, bitch. And then.
Amanda
Yeah, exactly.
Damien Haas
Can I ask you a personal question?
Shane
Oh, whoa.
Damien Haas
Have you pooped today? No. I'm kidding. You and Courtney, different teams?
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
How's that gonna be?
Amanda
Whoa. What?
Shane
I don't know. We've. We've faced off against each other plenty of times in summer games. I will say Courtney. Courtney is a. Like, she's a killer in game. She's a killer really well. Always did really well in a lot of the physical games. So with some of these mind games, I'm gonna be curious. I think she'll do really well as also, I don't know all the games. And I also know, like, with. With these games and how we do stuff nowadays, like, it's. It's going to be tricky. Right. I don't think the. The how to win is going to be a clear cut thing. I don't either, so.
Amanda
But will you guys go to bed angry. That's what I want to know.
Shane
No.
Amanda
Wow.
Shane
We're going to leave it in the high school.
Amanda
Wow. Well done.
Shane
What happens in high school stays in high school.
Amanda
Stays in high school. I wish that was the truth. But it's not the only for you guys.
Damien Haas
As the only unmarried person here, I think sometimes going to bed angry is okay. You don't have to force a resolution just because it's nighttime. Just know that you will be okay at some point, and there's trust there.
Amanda
Wow.
Shane
Fair.
Damien Haas
You guys are gonna both.
Shane
I will say, when it comes to. When it comes to our games videos and summer games, I don't hold back in the video. I'm like, I'm. I'm all in. I know I'm gonna get angry, but as soon as we cut, I'm like, oh, I laugh it off.
Amanda
Except for that one time.
Shane
Except for that one time.
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Amanda
Where you threw me over a wall.
Damien Haas
You're like, werewolf.
Amanda
Nice work.
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Shane
Unless it's werewolf. No, I laugh immediately after werewolf.
Amanda
No, I'm just kidding.
Damien Haas
Will Summer Games be leaked early this time? And will it be by Keith?
Shane
Has it been leaked already? Has it been leaked?
Damien Haas
We're recording this in the past, and it's happened a lot.
Shane
Oh, we. Cause, yeah, we have not. We still have a little bit of time before the games begin.
Amanda
Do we want to predict if it'll get leaked?
Shane
I. I have faith. I have faith it's not gonna get leaked.
Amanda
I don't think it'll get. And the production.
Shane
The production team in this room is really hopeful that that bet will come true.
Amanda
I don't think it'll get leaked, but I will be wearing this sweatshirt every day out in public. What?
Shane
I think if someone leaks it, I think we're gonna finally see Rachel kill someone.
Amanda
Oh, my God.
Shane
And I've been waiting for that. You know, every. Shane guesses everything I learned about Rachel, I'm like, I think she could kill a man.
Amanda
And you know what I think she would do? She'd run over them with her car and go, whoops.
Shane
She'd be like, yeah, so. So I. I had to do that.
Amanda
So I had to do it for the better of the company. The company is safe, and that's all that matters.
Shane
You suddenly, like, did you just make her the.
Damien Haas
The. God, I forgot her name. The Angela. God damn it. Sorry. Never mind. Lumen lady.
Amanda
Who?
Shane
Oh, from severance.
Damien Haas
Mrs. Severance. Like, that's Rachel. I must do it for the company.
Amanda
Yeah, that's Rachel.
Shane
I think I think if someone leaks it, they're gonna suddenly see on the schedule, like, scheduled for next week, your death. And Rachel's gonna be like, hey, did you see the. I made that. Put that on the calendar. You're gonna die.
Amanda
Yeah. You're gonna die.
Damien Haas
It's the Death in the City.
Shane
Yeah. I don't think it's gonna get leaked. I don't.
Amanda
I don't either.
Shane
They're taking a lot of precautions this year.
Amanda
Yeah.
Shane
They're making sure it's not gonna be tight.
Damien Haas
They made sure to log into Keith's auto, pay for his cell phone. Skip a month.
Amanda
Yeah.
Shane
Oh, God. Okay. Who. Who do we think? I don't. I don't know if there's gonna be awards for, like, MVP or something, but who do you think is going to be maybe, like, a dark horse MVP this year? Who do you see being, like, a.
Damien Haas
Too many options.
Shane
I think Chance could do really well, but Chance is also so competitive that it's like, is he gonna get in his head? Is he gonna be able to stay focused?
Damien Haas
Will it be a personal thing where he's also being Angela than Shane?
Shane
See, with all these, like, mind games and stuff, I could see. I could see. Oddly, I think Trevor could be a. I could. I think he could crush.
Amanda
I think Trevor, Although sometimes he gets overwhelmed. Like when too many people are on him that he retreats.
Damien Haas
And I think that's going to be on his team, though. Like, is his team going to support him and give him that?
Shane
I'll support him. I'm going to support him because, like, make sure he's fine.
Amanda
Okay, well, we'll see about that.
Damien Haas
He's like. He's also been training, like, physically a lot, so he's, like, incredibly physically fit. He's got the reach and is, like. As long as he's able to, like, have that support from teammates, he really could be an mp.
Shane
Yeah. And one of the games, I think, is punching. Yeah, Just go back and forth punching.
Damien Haas
Who can punch the highest?
Shane
Yeah. It's the thing where you put two knives in the ground and you have your back heel on it and you can't move from that spot. You just take turns punching each other.
Damien Haas
Absolutely.
Shane
You never heard about that?
Amanda
No. I'd love to play.
Shane
No, you've clearly never watched.
Damien Haas
Yu.
Shane
Yu.
Amanda
Hakusho don't understand what you say.
Damien Haas
Karameshi is a spirit detective, basically.
Amanda
Where are we?
Shane
He dies in the first episode, and then he becomes a spirit detective.
Amanda
Wow. Spoiler alert.
Damien Haas
No, no, because he goes back to the human World. And he lives between the two. And now he fights ghosts with other summer games.
Shane
Yu. Yu Hakusho.
Amanda
What are we talking about?
Shane
Well, Yu. Yu Hakusho's in high school.
Damien Haas
Is it too late to change?
Amanda
What are we discussing here?
Damien Haas
Yusuke Urameshi Kuwabara. You would love. Love him.
Shane
Actually, there's a live action. There's a live action series on Netflix of Yu. Yu Hakusho. And you should watch it.
Amanda
What is it called?
Damien Haas
I don't know if we should. I don't think we should have that one. That'd be Amanda watching that.
Shane
What?
Amanda
Why?
Damien Haas
It's not as good as the anime.
Amanda
Well, what is it called?
Shane
Yu. Yu Hakusho. Yeah, but it's a little more palatable. It's just shorter.
Damien Haas
I don't think it's very good.
Amanda
So am I. Am I watching it or am I not watching it?
Damien Haas
If you're gonna. If I'm gonna use my one, like, hey, Amanda, we should watch this card. It's. No, not gonna be on that.
Amanda
You can use multiple. Hey, you should watch this card either.
Shane
There's other animes you'd like more.
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Shane
Did you watch the live action One Piece?
Amanda
I watched two episodes.
Damien Haas
That one is so good.
Amanda
Yeah, it was really intense.
Shane
Watch that one.
Amanda
And I liked it.
Shane
Yeah, I love it.
Damien Haas
It knows what it is.
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
And that's.
Shane
It insists upon itself.
Damien Haas
In high school, instead of doing my distance learning work, I found bootleg ripped copies of Naruto and Bleach, and I did that. And I watched that all day in my room. And then I would tell my parents that I got a lot of lessons done and I didn't.
Shane
And now you're a very successful voice actor, so. So you killed it, you know.
Amanda
You did well.
Damien Haas
Thank you.
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
Hey, I'm really good at rushing last minute. I did do, like, a year of schoolwork in like, a month and a half, and I still got a 4.0.
Shane
I think smosh is compiled of just the funniest people where we all, like when we were kids, were just like, I like to play video games or just, like, make jokes. And it's like we somehow, yeah. Ended up here.
Damien Haas
We've dodged, like, death and failure at every moment. You drown twice.
Shane
Yeah. It's like, okay, we're here.
Damien Haas
We did it. It's a weird butterfly effect where, like, this had to happen. It's like reverse Final Destination where every car that almost. I almost got hit by a car in Hollywood once. I had to jump back and, like, dodge it. And that's just all these situations were like, no, you have to make the best content the Internet's ever seen.
Amanda
Yeah. Because we, we have people skills.
Damien Haas
Yeah. Cause it's the people skills.
Shane
We have a version of people skills.
Amanda
You guys don't. I do. Are people skills. I don't know what they are.
Shane
I wouldn't say I have people skills.
Amanda
Yeah, no, I, I, I took that back quickly after I said it.
Damien Haas
I'm really good with. I'm, I worked customer support. I was at an airport the other day and I had a major delay and I just talked to the person at the front desk and explained it was very polite. They upgraded me to first class for free.
Amanda
They did that because they were like, please sit down, sit down.
Damien Haas
They were like, you have good people skills. I admire that.
Amanda
They said that they thought it was.
Shane
It and you can read minds.
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Amanda
Wow.
Damien Haas
We're back. Excellent.
Amanda
You guys are going to do well.
Shane
Let. Do you want me to make bets right now on who, what team's going to win?
Damien Haas
Hot dogs.
Shane
Hot dogs. Okay. Yeah, Hot dogs.
Amanda
For sure. I don't know.
Damien Haas
I have to stay impartial. I have to say.
Amanda
You know what? I, I'm going to be honest. I don't know. I think down.
Damien Haas
I think it's an actual toss up. To be honest.
Amanda
I think it's a toss up because I feel like the dairy cows, I think, I think you guys, the hot dogs are all wild cards. You guys are effed up. I think the dairy cows are going to keep a level head and be like.
Shane
I will say looking at this, the see it again. The downtown dairy cows are definitely a more level headed team. We got a lot of emotion on the hot dogs.
Amanda
You guys have a lot.
Shane
Angela, Keith, Noah, myself, we're. We actually get fired. Up.
Amanda
Up. Yeah.
Damien Haas
Here's. There is such a spread of knowledge and skill across both of them, just in such different ways. But I'm like, is the tension, is the like fighting between Olivia and Tommy gonna be too much? You know that age old rivalry.
Shane
I know.
Damien Haas
What I know they always fight.
Amanda
You're right.
Damien Haas
Can I be so real with you guys?
Amanda
Please do.
Damien Haas
Olivia can fly. I've seen it.
Shane
Yeah.
Amanda
I literally believe that.
Shane
No, that's true.
Damien Haas
I feel like it's going to come.
Amanda
Up and I hope that it does. I hope that we finally witness it.
Shane
I sometimes notice, I'll look down at her feet and I notice she's like a half inch off the ground. She's just pretending to walk.
Amanda
She's like snacks. They're so Weird. I don't know what they are.
Shane
And then she sets, like, half of it down.
Damien Haas
She gives you snacks.
Amanda
She does what she. It's usually one she doesn't like.
Damien Haas
Oh. She and I like a lot of the same foods, to be honest.
Shane
Oh, wow.
Damien Haas
Yeah, we. We'll talk about food stuff often. That's. In fact, I think that's, like, the only thing we talk about. About.
Shane
Hey, that's a cool thing.
Amanda
Hey, that's good. Good thing you're not on our team, you know?
Damien Haas
Yeah, Yeah. I get to be an unbiased, judgmental.
Shane
Do you have a favorite team?
Amanda
Tell us.
Shane
Looking at these two.
Amanda
Tell us.
Damien Haas
I'll never tell. No, I think I want to give each team a chance to actually, you know, sort of prove themselves.
Shane
Okay.
Amanda
We will be seeing. We will be overwatching. Overwatching. We will be watching you guys.
Damien Haas
That's why you're the Reinhardt. Because we'll be over watching.
Amanda
Yeah, we'll be overwatching.
Damien Haas
Prepare for Titanfall.
Shane
Ooh. Okay, I'm gonna make some other predictions really quick.
Damien Haas
Okay.
Amanda
Look at the back of your iPad.
Damien Haas
That's awesome.
Amanda
What the.
Damien Haas
Hank.
Amanda
Who's Hank?
Damien Haas
I just hang on, curse, and say, heck. What the heck?
Amanda
I didn't watch that. I didn't watch that show.
Shane
That's okay. I'm okay, dad, you don't need to.
Amanda
Watch it for all those reasons.
Shane
Whoa.
Amanda
I love to watch Simpsons.
Shane
I didn't watch over the Hill and it shows.
Amanda
Oh, I hate you.
Damien Haas
King of the Hill and Simpsons were back to back. That was a 7:30 and 8pm kind of.
Shane
I didn't actually watch Simpsons or King.
Damien Haas
Of the Hill Simpsons. I watched. I remember I have a preschool memory where they said, what is your favorite show? And I said, the Simpsons. I was watching the Simpsons in preschool.
Shane
That's wild. And it shows.
Damien Haas
And it shows.
Shane
I also think that. Okay, some beefs that I think are gonna happen. Yeah. Chance and Angela. That's an obvious one.
Amanda
100.
Shane
So obvious that it may not happen that much.
Amanda
Yeah.
Shane
Other beefs that could occur. I think Spencer. I've not got to seen him as a competitor in Summer Games. I think he could be saying some dastardly things to the. The opposing team. I can see Spencer and Angela being a huge thing. Or Spencer and Arasha.
Amanda
I was gonna say Trevor Spencer.
Damien Haas
Trevor Spencer's such a. I just think.
Shane
He'S gonna be throwing out some one liners that are gonna just start to piss people off.
Damien Haas
You know what advantage that team has? Ian and Spencer are both in like, very directorial positions. And, like, I know there's, like, Jack of all trades, like, Courtney. They do everything. Like, sure, do everything. But, like, you know what I mean?
Shane
Spencer helped, like, produce some of these games, so he's kind of like.
Amanda
So he might try to get ownership over these games, and Arasha might be like, no, he knows too much.
Shane
He knows too much.
Damien Haas
It almost feels like it's not fair. Do we want to swap? Me for Spencer in some of the games?
Amanda
No, you have to be the host.
Damien Haas
I can do both.
Amanda
No, you can't run in this.
Damien Haas
I can. That's why it's cut off.
Amanda
What?
Damien Haas
Speed.
Amanda
Are you joking? And this, too.
Damien Haas
Yeah.
Amanda
Wait, that's blue.
Damien Haas
And it's red.
Shane
No.
Amanda
Hey.
Damien Haas
Son of a bitch. I didn't pick this.
Shane
That sucks. Amanda, you're bad. The signs were there this whole time.
Amanda
You're bad. E, Blue, mc, sp.
Damien Haas
That's science. But if anything, Selena's right.
Shane
What are you talking about? Hey, that's an equation.
Amanda
That's math and science.
Shane
Okay? Physics would fall. Okay, that's the. Physics is like, the in between of science and math because that. You're doing mathematical equations.
Amanda
I can't handle this.
Damien Haas
I didn't choose this tie.
Amanda
You didn't choose.
Damien Haas
I didn't choose this family.
Amanda
Damien didn't choose the tie. So we.
Shane
Space is math, basically.
Amanda
What? Sell that to Katy Perry.
Shane
Science. I'm thinking of, like, biology.
Damien Haas
I'm not gonna tell anything. Katy Perry.
Amanda
Katy Perry is an astronaut now. We all need to accept it.
Damien Haas
Katy Perry is a wacky.
Shane
I see sign in there. That's on a calculator. It's math.
Amanda
What?
Shane
Shut up.
Damien Haas
Yeah, but I got swords on me. That's history. And this is orange and red.
Shane
Yeah.
Damien Haas
Which is that.
Amanda
I told you, you smell like sorts. And everyone made fun of me. And look, he has sorts all over his body.
Damien Haas
Yeah, but what do you think Tattoos are scratching.
Amanda
Sniff. I know. They are.
Shane
They should be.
Amanda
They must be.
Damien Haas
Oh, my gosh. What a cool way to immediately get sick in a couple years. Someone needs to invent that and then.
Shane
Be like, oops, we put cinnamon in your sk.
Damien Haas
I. I don't ever want to be, like, the first of anything to try something out where it's like, I wasn't it like, a vidcon a couple years back? Where they're like, yeah, they're giving people, like, UV tattoos. I'm like, I don't think so. Like, they even know that, like, certain red inks are, like, carcinogenic. And I'm like, well, I've got it. Like.
Shane
Oh, explosive tattoos. Pretty cool.
Damien Haas
I'll just lop off my right arm. It's fine.
Amanda
No, don't. Please don't.
Damien Haas
Well, robot arm. By the time that happens. Robot arm.
Amanda
I have a question.
Damien Haas
Answer.
Amanda
Do people win anything after Summer Games?
Shane
It's just a You legacy. You know, it's like, that's your.
Damien Haas
Yeah. Because you remember who won all the rep. You. Who won last time of mvp?
Shane
I think Courtney won the last mvp.
Damien Haas
Okay, you actually do know. There you go.
Shane
And I won lvp.
Amanda
What's that? Least.
Shane
Least valuable person.
Damien Haas
It was a different time.
Amanda
Wait, you're joking. Wait, that is actually a little balloon one.
Shane
No, it was for Apocalypse. I. I won lvp.
Damien Haas
Oh, I got.
Shane
I won lvp.
Amanda
Yeah, you keep saying one lvp.
Shane
I don't think I was pretty garbage in that. In that one. So I'm gonna try to turn it around and try to be really valuable.
Amanda
He's gonna be really aggressive. Oh, he's gonna be really aggressive.
Shane
Yeah. I didn't get to go to high school.
Amanda
Oh, I.
Shane
This is my high school experience.
Amanda
Oh, no.
Damien Haas
Oh, my God. Are you gonna be like the homeschool kid?
Shane
And I'm gonna make. This is gonna be the time of my life.
Amanda
Oh, my God.
Shane
Oh, no.
Amanda
This is bad. He's.
Shane
Guys, Summer Games is beginning.
Amanda
Something's gonna happen to Shane. We are gonna lose Shane. Look at him now. Remember his face. You will never see this, man.
Shane
Because after this episode ends, I'm changing entirely.
Amanda
Please shave your head.
Damien Haas
Why?
Shane
Keith already did that. Oh, Keith. For Summer Games. Well, I could do a mohawk.
Damien Haas
That's definitely Smosh Apocalypse. To get you like a 90s.
Shane
Imagine I do a mohawk, but I do the chosen with the mohawk. Oh, a middle parted Mohawk.
Damien Haas
People lose their damn mind. Also gross.
Amanda
Get wings tattooed right here.
Shane
Like a high schooler.
Amanda
Yes, exactly. Like the high schooler stamp too.
Shane
Like the high schoolers in 13 Reasons why, where they're just covered in tattoos for some reason.
Damien Haas
Florida. I don't know. I don't know where it takes place.
Shane
I'm gonna get Florida tattooed on my body.
Amanda
You could be whoever you want to be, Shane.
Shane
I'm gonna be. I get to finally be who I always wanted to be.
Amanda
You never went to high school.
Damien Haas
You gotta make sure you have all those experiences. You gotta have your first kiss under the bleacher.
Amanda
Oh, my God. Who. There's Trevor, there's.
Damien Haas
We'll find some.
Amanda
Noah, there's a hot dog.
Shane
Yeah.
Amanda
Oh, my God.
Damien Haas
You could do a romantic hot dog sketch. It was before your time.
Shane
Are you guys ready for Summer Games?
Amanda
I'm so ready. Being the character that I will be.
Damien Haas
Okay, I was born via Caesarean section, but I'm ready for Summer Games.
Amanda
Hey, I haven't had my baby yet. Let's just get. Let's just. Hold on.
Damien Haas
You thought I was going to say I was born ready? I switched it up on you.
Amanda
I was like, what the.
Damien Haas
All right.
Shane
Switched it up on you guys, it is time for Summer Games this week. Enjoy. Buckle up. It's going to be a ride. We're going back to 2005.
Amanda
I cannot wait.
Shane
And we'll see you there.
Damien Haas
This hot tub into time machine.
Shane
All right, see you later.
Amanda
Bye.
Shane
Bye.
