She's a powerhouse in helping women, especially women over 40, to transform their health from inside out. And I know just from talking to her, I've gotten a lot of great tips and so I know you're going to get some great tips if you came here today for health nutrition. Today we're going to talk about her journey behind her brand. And so Robin and I started working together inside of my elevate and empower community on her getting more visible and just her showing up more online so she could attract her right fit clients. Robin, first of all, welcome to the social media decoded podcast. How are you today?

Thank you for having me. I appreciate the opportunity to be here.

Yes. I'm so excited to have you. So first, for those who do not know you yet, can you tell us a little bit about your story and the story of Necessary Nutrition?
Robin
Yes. So I am Robin, entrepreneur, nutritionist and the founder of Necessary Nutrition. So it's been 17 years and I help women over 40 use food targeted nutrition, that is supplementation and simple strategies to reclaim their health, balance their hormones and feel real good at this big age and peaceful and cute. And once upon a time I was overweight, pre diabetic, I did not know how to cook. I ate only out of a can. And I had my own transformation and just realize how powerful food and nutrition can be. And I've been sharing it for almost 20 years.

That is so good and so needed, especially someone approaching 40. I need all the tips. Okay. So what you're doing, number one, is important and the people need it. So let's rewind a bit. Before we started working together, what were you feeling or experiencing in your business and what wasn't working in terms of your marketing and visibility?
Robin
You know, there's just too much going on and too many options. So I was challenged by figuring out where to post, how much to pose, which avenues to post. It was just confusion and I feel like I lacked a strategy. I was just doing, but not really doing with intention. So that's where I was.
Michelle Thames
I'm sure most people can relate to that because there is a lot of noise, I think, like you, I heard you say that, like a lot of noise online. And it's like, well, what do I post? How do I post it? There's some people saying post 20 times. There's some people say post three times a week. And so that's why I really love what I do, because I feel like no posting strategy or what to post is like a one size fit all. It's kind of like you have to also make it work for your lifestyle. Right? And I hear this all the time. You have the passion, you have the results, you know what you're doing, but you don't necessarily have the clarity and the confidence on like when it comes to social media, because it is this vast. Yes, it's. It could be scary.
Robin
Yes, I think that's what it was. I lacked clarity, and you helped me with that. So that for sure lacked clarity and strategy and flow.
Michelle Thames
Oh, that's good. And flow. And that's. And I think a lot of people listening, that's where a lot of people are stuck. Right. And that's exactly why I created the Elevated Empower community. So you all. The Elevated Empower community is my community for women entrepreneurs, for us to connect, for us to, first of all, network. Because I believe also bringing different people together who are all doing something similar. Right. We're all building online businesses. It's a small niche. You may think that it's a big community. Right. But there's not a lot of entrepreneurs. Right. You may not know a lot of entrepreneurs in your life. And so I did it. And so I wanted to create a community for women where I could share my experiences, share my network, share and share what I know. And so that is how elevating the power was even birthed. And so I do these Tuesday calls, and this is where I met Robin, y'. All. I have a Tuesday call, the second Tuesday of the month. If you have not signed up yet, you're missing out. And we're still going strong. We're coming up on our. What is this going into July? We're coming up on our seventh month doing these networking calls. And so I've met Robin on this call where women entrepreneurs, those who work nine to five side hustles, we all come together and we just network and share our experiences. We have breakout rooms. People connect. People probably have became clients, collaboration opportunities. All type of things come from this call. And so that's where I met Robin at. And so I really love, number one, just creating spaces and community like that so that we can have these type of breakthroughs. Right, Because I know you've collabed with other people in the group. You've done podcast episodes. How's that been?
Robin
Yeah, you know, it's. It's been really well, just the community. What One thing that I really love of the many things is when you bring in the guests to come in and drop knowledge, the curated content in that way is. Is absolutely wonderful. So the connections in the group, tapping into your knowledge and resource and then those experts that come has really been helpful to me. And going back to when I met you, you were visible. So that's obviously, I saw you through Eventbrite and when I connected with you on Eventbrite. I love the way you had this giving spirit. And I was like, okay, wait, I'm interested in her. But you know, when you just meet people, you don't really know them. So I had to kind of watch you for a while. But what made me say yes was first of all, you spoke to my pain point. So that was one thing. And then I like the way I saw you show up and be visible. So when I started watching you, I'm thinking, okay, I definitely like what she's doing and I'm learning from her. So I'm interested in having her mentor me because I want to do what she's doing. And then the other part was your freebies were very, very useful. The information that I received from your freebies and I implemented them, they worked. And then I thought to myself, well, if these freebies are this good, then I could only imagine how good or better things would be inside of the community.
Michelle Thames

So first of all, we're all busy and we're not always able to implement things right away, but I loved when you were like, day one and I just saved them. And then I went back and then I implemented what you said. And then truth be told, it inspired me to then create the seven day nutrition reset. So I learned exactly from you. Because that's the thing when you meet somebody and you see somebody that is doing just, you know, it's like take, take what they're doing and fit it into what you're doing and make, make it make sense in your business. And I took this, the concept of the seven Day visibility Challenge turned it into the Seven day nutrition reset. And honestly, Michelle, that thing has been a game changer. What I loved about the your seven day visibility challenge, it was so good and so meaty and so it inspired me to be very giving. In the free seven day nutrition reset, I kept that same energy. I said, okay, Michelle's putting it all out there. Even if you don't buy anything else, you did get tremendous value. And that was the same energy and spirit I used in my own. I said, even if a person comes and they don't buy vitamin D or magnesium or plant based protein powder or join my community or anything, I want them to leave having powerful information that they can keep and refer to later to help them with their nutrition journey. So I loved what you had and I took it and I used it. Yes.

No, that's good. And I love that you said that too, because it's not like you're taking anything. I love that you created something and you were like, okay, this was helpful for me. I want to do something like this. And I just love that because I think sometimes we think, oh no, she's going to think that I'm stealing this or anything. They work. Oh, yes. Tell us the results, girl. What have the results been?

Yes, let me, let me tell you the value I got from strategy and then I'll, I'll get to the results. So what I learned because I came with kind of a willy nilly strategy, I didn't know how much to post and I wasn't sure. And so you really helped me with the three buckets in which to post. So the authority post the connection post and the offer post. So I post three days a week, and that works beautifully for me. Where before I wasn't sure how much to post and all of that, so. And in creating my content, it's very easy to do when I know what I'm posting about. But the results have been as follows. So since creating the seven day nutrition reset, leads are coming in, like, more than ever. So that's one thing. So in all of my years before, and the other lead magnet did not resonate as much as this one does. So I'm getting consistent leads in there that are converting. That's the bottom line. So that's what we all want. It's like the return on our investment. And then so I have the strategy, which gives me peace of mind because I'm not wondering when to pose, where to pose, how much to pose. It's all laid out. It just makes things very, very systematic for me. And then because I've been peaceful, visible, I've gotten a new brand partnership. And I feel like, yeah, I feel like I'm not crazy. Like, I'm not running around. How do they say? Like a chicken with their head cut off. Like, I'm like, okay, yes, I know what I'm doing. I know my strategy. I do it and I move on. I post and keep it moving. And it frees up time because that's what it's all about for me. It's like the peace of mind and the time freedom. And I think that's what we all want. And that truly, I'm telling you, no lies, like, it has really helped me with that.
Michelle Thames
That makes me smile. Congratulations on your brand deal, girl.
Robin
Totally. And part of that, too, was the consistency of showing up on social media, because they looked at that. And it's not because I have, like, so many followers, but it's the fact that I keep up with it so they can see, like, okay, she's consistent. And that's that they know that I'm active and I'm viable, and that's just what they needed and it made sense for them. So showing up is all good.
Michelle Thames
Oh, y', all, this is good. See, you don't have to post every day to get clients. You don't have every day to get brand deals. Apparently, Robin has gotten a new brand deal and even speaking engagements. And so, Michelle, I didn't even say that.
Robin
Like, I've gotten, gosh, plenty a good. A good amount of speaking engagement since I started the community. Because also what you told me is when you were Helping me, coach me through how to post and looking at what I offer. You were just sharing with me, you know, put certain things in your stories. You were coaching me through what to do and how, how to do that. And so I have. So as much as I am out there now, I'm just out there with more strategic intention and it just, it just makes a difference.
Michelle Thames
Oh, I like that. Strategic intention.
Robin
Strategic intention. That part.
Michelle Thames
That is what I love. And when clients, when people in my community take action, that's what it is. Yeah, that's what it is.
Robin
Obviously none of this will. It won't work if they don't do. But it's not, it's not a lot of work. Once, Once it's like the, the work was when I didn't know what to do. That was the work. Because I'm like, what do I post about and where do I post now? It's like, boom, boom, boom. I can get it done real quick. And then just the, the. Oh, God, the word. You have to come help me think of the word. It's the time, not the time. Block.

Batching, batching, batching, batching.
Robin
Helping, you know, and then just repurposing content and it's just, it's just easier. I'm thoroughly happy.
Michelle Thames
And Chad, GPT. Let's tell people know a lot about chat. I did not before the community.
Robin
You are correct. Thank you for saying that. Yes. Chat is my new.

So how have you been using chat and what has it helped you with in your business?
Robin
You know what. And I'm so you saying that. Yeah, I almost forgot that chat has made things so even so much easier to write content. Could come up with ideas, chat or write an email for me in seconds. As long as you know what to prompt it. If you like, if you know who you are and what your business is, then you can definitely greatly utilize ChatGPT. And I guess if you don't know what your business is, you can ask them. What, what should your business mean? I don't know, but I know how to prompt it or ask it questions. And it gives me content. Like, it gives me so much content that I'm like, oh my gosh, I have stuff for months now when I didn't even. Yeah, I have. Literally. Yeah, Michelle. I didn't even think to say that, but I have all my content planned out through July. I didn't even think about it because it just gives me so much ideas. Yeah. And I'm like Oh my. And you can make the content calendar with it. Geez. And I learned that, I learned that from you being in the community. The other thing about being in your community, because again, you give so much value just by these conversations. But when you said tapping into your network, that's important. So in order for someone to do that, they would have to be in your ecosystem, right in your inner circle in order to utilize those resources. And so that's one of the things that I would recommend because I feel comfortable asking you for stuff and then, and then referring you to other people. But for anybody that's listening. Well, there's a couple of things. If you, if you're struggling with being visible, then Michelle can definitely help you. And if you're following her, then you can see that she is doing what she's saying to do. The investment in the community is worth it in terms of roi. So the return on investment, for sure, what I invested in the community, I've gotten back really, really fast from that. My, just from my recreating the elite magnet.

No, this is good. And this is again, proof that when you get clear and consistent, the right people start paying attention. And that's what we want. More alignment, more visibility, and more impact in the end.
Robin
More impact and more peace of mind. That's my, that's my word. It's like, I need to be peaceful. I need to be impactful and peaceful.
Michelle Thames
Same. And those are the vibes of the elevated, empowered community. So if you're listening and you're like, I need a community with other women who get it, who are going through the same things I am, maybe I'm trying, maybe you're trying to get more visible. Maybe you want to grow a podcast, maybe you want to speak, maybe you want to host events and retreats. It's so hard for me sometimes to put everything that I could possibly help you with when it comes to visibility out there. But when you join the community, you'll see that it's just a resource tool for networking. For like you said, I bring in the guest experts. And not to mention, this is like a curated group. It's not like we do 55 people every month, right? This is a small group community. And I also do a one on one with you when you come into the community, because I think it's important to say, hey, I have this in the community and this is what you can do. This is how you can leverage it. And I think that that's an important tool and something that we do as well inside the Community, we talk to each member. So it's not like you won't ever get to talk to me. You will.
Robin
So I didn't even expect that part. The, the one on one and then the other part is just to be able to, when you're working on something, post it in the community and get feedback from other members. I was able to do that as I was creating some of my freebies and speaker sheets and programming to say, okay ladies, what do you guys think? And I was able to get feedback. So that's very useful. And there's, there's a whole bunch of different things in the community and some will like the co working sessions or others will like the guest speakers. There's a lot of aspects of the community that can speak to each entrepreneur differently.
Michelle Thames
Yes, I love that you said that. Because yes, we have co working, we bring in guest experts, we have CEO Elevation calls. We just all come and share what we're working on and mastermind with each other. So yes, I, I love that there's like you, you may not be able to come to everything and that's fine, but it's going to be there for you. So thank you for that. You're welcome.

And one more thing, I want to say this. When I first joined, I binged all of the past experts. That helped. Well, there was one in there about the YouTube and helping with that and I just blocked off time and just watched and I've just found great value in that.

Next Necessary Nutrition, the company and then me, Robin, as the, the speaker nutritionist. I'm out there speaking to women's groups and entrepreneur groups with that and I'm super excited about that. Specifically talking to entrepreneurs and then Necessary Nutrition. As a company, we are working on our probiotic and digestive enzyme line. So we currently have D3K2 magnesium and plant based protein powder and we are launching probably in 2026. It takes a while to get a new formula out into the world, but our probiotics and digestive enzymes are coming because that's what we do. So my company does supplements and then I as a nutritionist, I run the community and help the women with their strategies. I too bring in experts to help support the members within the necessary nutrition community.
