Hey, it's Michelle Thames. Your host of social media decoded the show that helps you get visible, get paid, and grow your business with purpose. And listen, before we even get started, I have to say this. My event, Elevated in Power, is officially sold out. Yes. I am so excited. Please do a celebratory dance with me. I am so excited for this. October 31st and November 1st here in Chicago. Elevated in Power is going down. I'm just taking a moment to sit in deep gratitude, because this isn't just about tickets or seats. It's about trust. It's about women believing in the vision and saying yes to community, strategy and elevation. So today's episode is extra special because I want to talk about something that has truly built my business, my reputation, and yes, it even help me sell out tickets. Authority. And more specifically, how to build authority when you're not the loudest in the room. So get your pens and your notepads ready, because gems are about to be dropped. Let's get into this mindset piece. Okay. Let's get real for a second. We live in a world where volume often looks like value. The louder someone is online, the more they post, the flashier the graphics, the bolder the claims, the more we assume that they're winning, Right? But here's the truth. Authority isn't about noise. It's about consistency and credibility. Authority is built in silence long before it's celebrated in public. You don't have to be the person with the most followers, the biggest personality, or the constant, look at me energy. You can lead quietly and still lead powerfully. I remember early in my journey, I wasn't the most loud. I wasn't the most strategic. But I let my results speak louder than my voice. Every client I helped, every podcast I published, every consistent action was truly authority being built in real time. Because people trust repetition. They trust results. They trust alignment more than than hype. So if you've ever thought I'm too quiet to stand out, I want to reframe that for you right now. You're not too quiet. You're just intentional. The loudest person in the room might get the attention, but the most consistent person in the room gets authority. So how do you actually build authority without shouting over everyone else? Good question. Right, let's talk about the strategy here. Here's what I've learned. The first thing is that you don't have to chase attention. You cultivate trust. You don't have to try to be everywhere. You master your message in one place and then expand you don't just talk about what you do. You demonstrate it through transformation and story. Authority is a ripple effect and it starts small and spreads through impact, not volume. All right, let's break this down into three real world shifts that you can make starting today. The practical steps get your pins out. Number one, share death, not noise. Authority is built when people say, wow, I never heard it explained that way. Give people thinking moments, not just tips. Teach through perspective. Effective, not perfection. Ask yourself, am I sharing original insights or am I echoing what everyone else says? Am I making people think or just scroll faster? Real authority doesn't just give information, it gives interpretation. Number two, be consistent with what you stand for. If your message changes every week, your audience can't anchor to you. Decide what you're known for and and talk about it until people quote you. I'm known for visibility, marketing strategy and helping women get paid for their expertise. Every episode, post and event connects back to that. That's authority through repetition. Number three, let people experience you. You don't build authority by telling people you're credible. You show them what that could look like. Guest speaking. Just like I was a guest speaker at the recent still going on right now, her AI Era summit. That led to another invitation to speak at another summit just this week. Hosting your own spaces like Elevate and Empower Live. I can't wait until November 1st. Whoop whoop. Sharing client results and behind the scene insights. Every time you show up in service, you build credibility. And this is key. Authority compounds quietly. You may not see the results instantly, but while others are shouting, you're stacking trust, my friend. So to close out today, you do not have to be the loudest in the room. So if you're not the loudest in the room, good. That's your superpower. Because quiet leaders move differently. You observe, you plan, you execute, you deliver. And people they respect that. Your voice doesn't have to be the loudest one that leads. It just has to be consistent, valuable and authentic. And when you operate from that energy, I opportunities will find you just like they found me this week. Another summit invitation, new partnerships and doors opening simply because I showed up consistently as me. So here's your challenge this week. Pick one platform where you're going to show up with depth and consistency. Commit to clarity over chaos and remember that your quiet power is still power. If this episode spoke to you, share it with someone who needs this reminder to today. And if you want a place to keep building your authority with strategy and support, join the Elevate and Empower Collective, my private community for entrepreneurs and creators. Building visibility with confidence. The link to the wait list is in the show notes. I will be opening the doors very soon for the Elevate and Empower Collective for new members. And if you're coming to the sold out Elevating Empower live, I can't wait to hug you in person. 40 women, one room, legacy, community and visibility. Until next time. Keep showing up, keep trusting your voice. And remember, you don't need to be loud to lead. You just need to be authentic. I will talk to y' all in the next one. Peace.
