If Instagram feels like a full time job and you're ready to quit it altogether, then today's episode is for you friend. Because here's the truth. You do not have to be glued to your phone to grow your brand. You just need a content system that works for you. And in today's episode, I'm breaking down how to build a sustainable content strategy for Instagram that helps you grow without being online 24 7. Because who has time for that? Not me. And not you either, friend. We're talking batching, repurposing, automation, and visibility that doesn't rely on hustle. So get your pens and your notepads ready because gems are about to be dropped. Let's get right into it now, what most entrepreneurs get wrong about Instagram growth, let's talk about that, because growth does not equal constant posting. You probably heard you need to post every day. You need to always be in stories. You need to. You need to engage with 50 accounts before and after every post. That sounds like burnout, friend, not business growth. And believe me, I've been victim to it too. So I am telling you from my mistakes because I've been so victim to this. Like, oh, girl, you need to post every day. You need to post more. You should be in the stories and engage before and after posts. But what actually works is posting strategically, being consistent, okay? Not constant posting and letting your content do the heavy lifting for for you while you run your business. Because that is what I absolutely love about the new way that I've approached Instagram. Because I am not constantly posting. And if you follow me on Instagram, you can see that. But let me tell you, the sales are still rolling in, the clients are still coming in, and I'm still super visible. Now I want to talk about the four part system that I teach and that I use. Number one is planning with purpose. Now, before you post anything. No. What are you promoting, what problem are you solving and what do you want your audience to do next? That is literally the first thing I think about before I post anything. The second thing is batch your content weekly or bi weekly. I have an episode on how I recently batch my content. My newest strategy, Please go and check out that podcast episode. I spend 90 minutes once a week bashing. Yes, once a week. I used to do like try to put all my content, do all things in like a month. But that doesn't work anymore for me. Okay, So I spend 90 minutes once a week batching three reels, two carousels, story prompts and email content, period. And yes, I use my good friend chat to help me outline, script and brainstorm all my hooks. When I say I use it every single week. It has been a lifesaver. I am a ChatGPT AI fanatic. I love it. And if you are not using AI to just help you be more strategic and save more time, friend, you're missing out. Please leverage AI. I know what the people are saying about it. They're like, oh, everybody sounds alike. Not me. I don't know what ar you are using. Maybe you don't know how to prompt it right? If you know how to prompt your chatgpt it can help you tremendously. Number three is automate what you can use tools like later metricool or free 99 meta business suite. Okay Storytelling tools. Yes, they still exist. Linking bio pages with clear call to actions to your freebie like my seven day Visibility and my seven day Audio challenge. Now number four is to repurpose like a pro that reel you just posted, go ahead and clip it into a story. And that email that you just sent, go ahead and turn that bad boy into a caption. And that podcast, go ahead and make that a carousel. Matter of fact, make it a carousel. Instagram post and a LinkedIn post. Make your content work multiple jobs for you. Now let's talk about what to track instead of more posting. Now track your profile visits your website, clicks your story link tabs and your saves and shares. That right there are indicators of buyer behavior, not just likes. When I meet someone and they tell me that they're worried about the likes, I cringe up because that is not what matters. What matters is who is visiting your profile. Who's actually clicking on your website? Do you look at your story like who watches your story? I want to tell you I'm somebody who looks at all of my stories and who's watched it. That is really important to me because it's a strategic move, right? If you see someone constantly watching your stories engaging, that's buyer behavior and friend. If you want a system that gives you the plug and play visibility strategies without the burnout, you know I got you. Just go ahead and grab my $17 visible and booked audio course. It is when I say the blueprint that I've used with clients and myself to help us build our brands that get seen and sell without being online all day. Because who has time for that? Or if you're new to this world, you can go ahead and start with my free seven day Visibility Audio challenge. Everything is linked in the show notes or if you want to send me a DM over on Instagram. Michelle Thames I love to chat with you all in the dms. I can send you the link there too.

Podcast Description: Social Media Decoded is your go-to podcast for marketing, visibility, and monetization strategies to grow your business online. Hosted by marketing expert Michelle Thames, this show breaks down social media, content marketing, and business growth into actionable steps for entrepreneurs, creators, and brands.
In this episode, Michelle Thames challenges the conventional wisdom that growing on Instagram requires constant online presence. She shares her personal journey of overcoming the pressure to post incessantly and introduces a sustainable approach to Instagram growth that doesn't necessitate being glued to your phone 24/7.
Michelle Thames [01:00]: "You do not have to be glued to your phone to grow your brand. You just need a content system that works for you."
Michelle begins by debunking the myth that frequent posting and constant engagement are the keys to Instagram success. She acknowledges the burnout many entrepreneurs face due to these pressures and emphasizes that quality and strategy trump quantity.
Michelle Thames [02:15]: "Growth does not equal constant posting. You probably heard you need to post every day. You need to always be in stories. That sounds like burnout, friend, not business growth."
Michelle introduces her proprietary four-part system designed to streamline Instagram growth without overwhelming users.
Before creating any content, Michelle stresses the importance of clear planning. She advocates for defining what you're promoting, identifying the problem you're solving, and determining the desired action from your audience.
Michelle Thames [03:10]: "What are you promoting, what problem are you solving, and what do you want your audience to do next? That is literally the first thing I think about before I post anything."
To maximize efficiency, Michelle recommends batching content creation. By dedicating a set amount of time each week or biweekly, entrepreneurs can produce multiple pieces of content in one session, reducing daily workload and maintaining consistency.
Michelle Thames [03:45]: "I spend 90 minutes once a week batching three reels, two carousels, story prompts, and email content, period."
She also highlights her use of AI tools, specifically ChatGPT, to assist in outlining, scripting, and brainstorming content ideas.
Michelle Thames [04:00]: "I use my good friend Chat to help me outline, script, and brainstorm all my hooks. When I say I use it every single week, it has been a lifesaver."
Automation tools are pivotal in Michelle's strategy. She recommends platforms like Later, Metricool, and Meta Business Suite for scheduling posts and managing content seamlessly. Additionally, she emphasizes the importance of using storytelling tools and optimizing bio links with clear calls-to-action.
Michelle Thames [05:05]: "Use tools like Later, Metricool, or Meta Business Suite to automate your posts, so you can manage everything from one place."
Maximizing the value of each content piece is essential. Michelle advises repurposing content across multiple formats and platforms to extend reach and engagement without additional effort.
Michelle Thames [05:30]: "That reel you just posted? Clip it into a story. Turn that email into a caption. Make that podcast a carousel. Your content should work multiple jobs for you."
Michelle shifts focus to the importance of monitoring meaningful engagement metrics rather than superficial likes. She outlines key indicators that reflect genuine buyer behavior.
Michelle Thames [06:20]: "What matters is who is visiting your profile, who's clicking on your website, and who is engaging with your stories. These are the indicators of buyer behavior, not just likes."
She cautions against obsessing over likes, explaining that deeper engagement metrics provide more actionable insights for business growth.
Michelle Thames [06:45]: "If you're worried about the likes, that's not what matters. It's the strategic moves like tracking who watches your stories and engages consistently."
Emphasizing efficiency, Michelle advocates for the integration of AI tools in content strategy. She shares her enthusiasm for ChatGPT, highlighting its role in enhancing productivity and creativity.
Michelle Thames [04:20]: "I am a ChatGPT AI fanatic. If you know how to prompt your ChatGPT, it can help you tremendously."
Michelle wraps up the episode by offering resources for listeners to implement her strategies. She promotes her $17 "Visible and Booked" audio course, which provides a blueprint for building a visible and profitable brand without constant online presence. Additionally, she invites listeners to join her free seven-day Visibility Audio Challenge for those new to social media marketing.
