Can I be honest for a second? I think a lot of really talented entrepreneurs disappear online right when their business needs visibility the most. Summer comes, the kids get out of school, people start traveling, life gets busy, schedules change, and suddenly it turns into I'll get back consistent next week. Then next week turns into next month. Then you look up and realize, dang, I haven't really shown up in my business. And friend, if this has been you lately, this episode is for you. Because I need you to know something. You do not have to choose between living your life and growing your business. You just need a visibility strategy that actually fits your real life. Hey friend, welcome back to Social Media Decoded. I I'm Michelle Thames, marketing strategist, visibility coach, podcast host, mom entrepreneur and somebody who really believes that you do not have to burn yourself out to build a successful brand online. And around here we talk all things visibility, social media, marketing, personal branding, podcasting, and how to actually grow your business in a way that feels sustainable. Especially if you're multi passionate and doing all the things. And woo. If that is you, pull up a chair because we gotta talk. So let me be real with you. Every summer I feel the shift. My routine changes. Life changes. There's travel, family, events, trying to be present, trying to enjoy life, trying to run a business, trying to be a mom, trying to still make money, trying to show up online. And for a long time I used to feel guilty. Like if I wasn't posting every single day, something bad was going to happen. Like if I missed a few days online. I was somehow failing. Anybody else Ever feel like that? Like social media makes you feel like if you miss three days, your whole business is about to disappear? Because seriously, the pressure is real. Especially as women, especially as moms, especially when you're trying to build something meaningful. And maybe for you, it's not motherhood. Maybe it's work. Maybe you're caregiving. Maybe life is just heavy right now. Maybe you are just simply tired. And what happens? We disappear. We stop posting, we stop showing up, we stop talking. And then we feel guilty. Then we come back online like, hey, strangers, y' all know that post. But let me tell you what I realized. The problem wasn't life getting busy. The problem was the pressure I was putting on myself. Because somewhere along the way, I started believing visibility had to mean post every day, be everywhere, never stop, always create, always perform. And honestly, that is exhausting. And here's what changed for me. I realized something really important. Visibility does not have to be loud to work. You do not have to post five times a day. You do not have to dance on reels. You do not have to constantly feel, quote, unquote, on. You just need to stay connected. That's it. Because sometimes visibility looks like a quick Instagram story, a podcast episode, a thought on threads, a picture from real life, a behind the scenes moment, a simple post, a DM conversation, a voice note that still counts. And honestly, some of my best content lately has not even been polished. It's been storytelling, it's been community, it's been sharing real life, it's been local content, showing what's happening around me, talking about what I'm learning, sharing moments. And guess what? People are responding to that because people are craving real. People are tired of the perfect. People want connection again. They want to know the human behind the business. And if you've been feeling pressure to be perfect online, I need you to release that. Because imperfect visibility is better than disappearing. Let me say that again for the people in the back. Imperfect visibility is better than. Than disappearing. Okay, so let's make this practical because I know somebody listening is like, okay, Michelle, but what do I actually do if life feels busy right now? Here are the visibility moves I will focus on. Number one, Pick one main platform friend, please stop trying to be everywhere. You do not need to master Instagram threads, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest all at once. Pick one and ask yourself, where are my people actually hanging out? Start there. Focus there. Because scattered energy creates scattered results. Number two, create one Core piece of content. This is huge for me. Podcasting helps so much because one episode can become a reel. A threads post, an email, a quote graphic, a carousel, a Facebook post. One thing can turn into many things. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel every single day. Number three, focus on conversations. Y' all already know. I say this all the time. Conversations are the strategy. Sometimes we think visibility means post more, post more, post more. But what if your next client is already watching? What if they're already following you? What if they just need one conversation? Reply to comments, reply to DMs, talk to people. Community matters. Relationships matter. Number four, create a summer rhythm. I think this is important. Your summer visibility might look different than your January visibility. And that is okay. Maybe instead of posting every day, you post three times a week. Maybe instead of long videos, you do stories. Maybe instead of creating new content, you repurpose. You are allowed to adjust for the season that you are in. Stop disappearing. Even if it's simple, even if it's light. Stay in the room. I want you to remember that. Stay in the room. Because visibility is not about being the loudest. It's about being remembered. And people cannot remember someone who keeps disappearing. Even simple visibility matters. So friend, if life has been lifein lately, if business has felt heavy, if summer is throwing off your schedule, if motherhood has you trying to figure out how to juggle all the things I want you to hear me, you do not have to disappear. You just need a visibility plan that fits the season you're in. And honestly, that's exactly why I created my seven day visibility reset. Because sometimes you do not need more information. You need momentum. You need structure. You need a plan. You need somebody to help you reset. So if that sounds like what you need right now, send me a DM on Instagram ichellelthames with the word visible. Just DM me Visible V I S I B L E and I'll send you the details. And if this episode helped you, send it to another entrepreneur friend who's trying to balance life, business, motherhood, summer, all the things. And if nobody has told you lately, you're doing better than you think. Keep showing up, keep building, and I'll talk to you in the next episode of Social Media Decoded Peace.
