Even your streaming password stays between you and your college roommates who still ask for it every week in your group chat. Because on WhatsApp, your personal messages are yours. Kenzie
WhatsApp message privately and the easiest way to do this is just open up a new chat window and for like two minutes just brain dump. Type into the chat anything you can think of about your brand. Right? Introduce yourself. Who are you? What do you do? Who do you serve? And then also your brand's personality, your you know, kind of how you write or speak to your people. And we totally can deep dive into that in just a sec too. But just introducing yourself and your brand to your assistant in a new chat window first is the very first thing will already get you way better results.

Kenzie
Hello, Michelle. Thank you so much for having me. I loved that introduction. You got my energy going right now.
Michelle Thames
Yes, I love it. I love it. So I'm ready to jump into this and I'm super excited to chat all things AI because the listeners know AI in chat is my bestie. Okay, so let's start at the beginning. Your AI origin story is such, such a vibe. You weren't always on Team AI. So tell us how you went from being a skeptic to a strategist.
Kenzie
Yes, I know. I love to share kind of my AI origin story because I do feel like it's just so relatable for so many. So, I mean, I have been an entrepreneur for six plus years now. @ this point point, growing my original brand Feel Good Social and Feel Good Social was all about helping entrepreneurs show up online in a way that feels good to you, that feels authentic and aligned, gives you confidence, attracts your perfect people for your Business, all that stuff. Right? So about two years ago now, when I first heard about AI tools and everyone was like, have you tried ChatGPT? I was like, no, what is it? But I honestly, when I first started hearing about these tools, I like to say I was a total curmudgeon about it because I was seriously like, the grumpy grandpa, like, shaking my fist at the sky. Like, isn't the Internet fake enough as it is? What is this going to do to our creativity or critical thinking skills? Is AI going to take our jobs or take over the world? Like, all of those kind of AI scaries, I call them ran through my brain and I was like, not into AI tools. I was like. But then I was kind of on a long drive thinking about all the things, and I had one of those long drive epiphanies and I realized that AI tools are here. And the reason that I'm feeling so grumpy about them is because I'm afraid of the change that they'll bring, of what this will mean for our culture, for our society, of just like, how people will use them in an icky or inauthentic way. Right. And I realized that instead of being against AI tools, probably what I could do that would be better would be to turn toward AI and get curious about how can we use these tools in a way that aligns with us? How can we make these tools work for us without sacrificing our authenticity or quality of work or thought leadership? And so that's when I started my brand today. Authentic AI. Yeah, we just help down to earth solopreneurs use AI tools in a way that feels aligned with your values, with your personality, that actually helps you be productive, save time, get more done, and actually find freedom to enjoy your life without feeling like you're going to turn your brand into a robot or feeling like you're cutting corners or anything like that. Yes.
Michelle Thames
No, I love that. I love that. And I'm a chatgpt AI girl. So let's talk about. What you talk a lot about is using a human first approach to AI. And so what does that actually mean in practice for entrepreneurs?
Kenzie
Yes, Michelle, I love that you said that because. Exactly right. I. That that was one of my major concerns when I first heard about AI tools. I'm like, is this going to turn everyone even more into mindless sheep? You know, is this going to suck our creativity, complete our critical thinking skills? Right. But it's just like you said, I actually found in using AI tools that my creativity has been Expanded, um, I'm able to be more Creative and actually ChatGPT helps me to spark ideas, motivate me. It actually helps me to create, to carry the creative load so that I'm not feeling creatively drained as often. Right? And then same thing with critical thinking skills. And actually this plays into the human first approach that I preach. Everyone use AI tools like this site is because I. The way I use AI tools is I like to encourage people to bring your own thoughts, ideas, opinions, beliefs, perspective, language to the tools and then tell your AI assistant all about whatever it is that you're thinking, give it your original thoughts and then have your AI assistant help to clarify, expand, organize whatever you're already thinking. Right? And then on top of that, it's like thinking critically about. Then is my AI tool giving me an aligned answer? Is this the perspective that I have? Are these the tips I would have shared? Right. So actually in using AI in this way, I've actually practiced my critical thinking skills more regularly, I think, than I would have just because I'm always kind of thinking like, oh, is what ChatGPT is giving me, is that aligned with me? Is this what I would have shared anyway? Or what do I think about this? Right? But I've also found that using this human first approach of like, bringing your own ideas to the tools and allowing the tool to then help you is one of the better ways that you can use the tools to do the work you would have already been doing just a little bit more quickly and easily without sacrificing that authenticity. Thoughts, leadership. And also it helps you get the responses that you're looking for from these tools from the get go, without the frustrating back and forth. Right? Because we've all been there where we go to AI and we're like, help me write a social media caption. And it gives you something that's like, totally off, like cheesy or professional or like, just doesn't sound like you. Right? And so with using this human first approach, it's. I've found that I get way better responses like, what I'm looking for from the get go. Instead of feeling like I'm going back and forth and feeling like I could have done it better if I just done it myself from the get go. Right?
Michelle Thames
No, I love that. And I think so many women especially are just hesitant to AI. And that leads into my next question, like, why do you think so many women in business are hesitant to use AI? And how do we start changing that narrative?
Kenzie
Thank you so much for asking me about this, because this is one of those things that I truly get fired up about. Like, every time I'm on, especially a women focused podcast, I'm like, guys, listen up. Because there's actually been studies done that men are two times more likely to use the top 50 AI tools than women. There was a more recent Study done that ChatGPT app users on your mobile phone are 75% men, which is insane to think about, right? And this is an issue, you know, because AI tools have been proven to boost your productivity by 40%, which is like working two extra days per week. So if you think about it in. In terms of the workplace, if more men are using AI tools than women, well, men are going to be getting more done. Who's more likely to then get the promotion or the raise? Right? The gender income gap is going to dramatically increase instead of decrease, like we've been really working toward for so long. Right? But then on top of that, if more men are using AI tools than women, well, most of these tools at this point are trained by user input, which means whatever, whoever's using the tool, whatever they're putting into the tool, that is then kind of getting pushed into the swirling data that these tools are trained on. But basically, these tools will be shaped. The future models will be shaped by the users who are currently using them and inputting stuff into them, right? So if more men are using AI tools than women, well, then the data is going to be skewed and these future kind of models are going to be more trending toward masculine thoughts, perspectives, language. Right? Which it's just one of those things, like the more diverse data set we can give these tools and train these tools on, like, the better they will be, right? And these tools need our feminine energy. They need our thoughts, perspective, language. Right? And so, girl, it's so important for, like, women to use AI tools. But okay, so here's the thing, though. What really gets me is the reason why more men are using AI tools than women, right? Because this one hits home. Because, I mean, of course there's like, the cultural stuff of women have been raised to feel less comfortable and accepted in, like, media, STEM subjects, science and math. We've been kind of raised culturally to feel less techy than men in general. But I still remember the first time I was being interviewed on another woman's podcast about AI, and she looked at me and she said, so what do you say to the women who feel guilty for using AI tools, who feel like they're cutting corners or they're not Doing the work, right? And I, like, had one of those moments where I was like, oh, this is a thing. And this is so much bigger than just AI, right? But it's manifesting in the way that we think about AI tools right now because women have always had to work twice as hard to get half the respect. We've had to show that we are working hard in order to be worthy of the respect and the success that we see. Right? And so of course, women have to be more concerned about the way we're showing up online, about showing that we're putting in the work and all that stuff. And, and AI tools can feel like cutting corners or we feel like we might be judged for using them, which it truly is a thing. There are people out there judging women for using AI tool, which is kind of silly. You know, it's like it's more women judging women often than, like sometimes men judging us and stuff, because men, it just goes over their heads. They don't feel guilty for using these tools, you know, like, they're not dealing with that. And so I always like to share that too, because it's kind of one of those internal belief things that we need to realize that these are tools that can help us save time, that can help us find more freedom to enjoy our lives, that can help us, like, to actually get a leg up and help us carry the load, the workload, the emotional load at purse in your personal life and at work, you know, like all those things, like women of, of anyone, I think, deserve to be using AI tools and like, the more we can embrace them and help other women embrace them too, then the better.
Michelle Thames
I love that. And you know, I definitely am a believer of that to even get the output that you want to get. So that's what I want to talk about next. I know your signature offer is the brand blueprint for ChatGPT. Just walk us through how someone can train AI to sound like them and not ChatGPT. Because I think that is one of the most, you know, things that people are so afraid of that it won't sound like them. But you don't even know who's writing my emails. Like you all chat is writing my emails. And it does not sound like a robot. It sounds like the homegirl Michelle, who I am. Right? So walk us through that.
Kenzie
Yes, I know, I love that because, yeah, that is like one of the most common frustrations, right? Is like, like my AI assistant just won't write like me. Like, I don't think it can write like me. But guys, I just have to tell you, I'm a word nerd. Like, I labor. I love writing, but I labor over every word. And I'm one of those people who are like, I think I'm special. Like, I think I'm cute. Like, my, my robot can't like replicate my voice, but like, it actually can. Like, ChatGPT has understood my little quirks, my nuances. Like, and it actually, I get so giddy when it writes a caption that I'm like, I would have written that but it would have taken me like 60 minutes. Instead of ChatGPT helping me write it, taking it five minutes. Right, so how do you train your AI assistant to think and sound like you? Well, there's kind of like the very light, minimal, low lift version that you could do if you're just getting started or you're like kind of strapped for time. Right? And then there's like the deep dive, super nerdy method that asks away or by that, like, I love it and it just gets me the best results all the time. Right? But like in general, when it comes to training and AI assistant and to think and sound like you, you really just want to make sure that you are telling it everything it needs to know about your brand first in order for it to do the best job for you. So I always like to use the example, like if you hired a new human intern and first day on the job, the intern walked in the door all shiny faced and you go write me a social media caption, but you didn't tell that poor little intern anything else about your brand, your audience, your strategy, Nothing. Like that intern would try to write a social media caption for you, but not knowing anything about your business or your strategy, like, they probably would do a pretty crappy job for you, right? And the same thing goes for your AI assistant. So you really need to think about what does this AI assistant need to know in order to do the best job for me. And the easiest way to do this is just open up a new chat window and for like two minutes, just brain dump. Type into the chat anything you can think of about your brand. Right? Introduce yourself, who are you? What do you do? Who do you serve? And then also your brand's personality, your, you know, kind of how you write or speak to your people. And we totally can deep dive into that in just a sec too. But just introducing yourself and your brand to your assistant in a new chat window first is the very first thing will already get you way better results. But the method that I swear by is like you said, the AI brand blueprint. And basically this is outlining what I call the five core strategies of your brand into one single document that you can then use again and again to one click, file upload, Train your AI assistant on everything it needs to know about your brand in like 10 seconds. It's awesome, right? But what I like to include in the brand blueprint, the five core strategies. The first one is your brand identity. So this is your mission, vision, values, opinions, beliefs, everything that kind of makes your brand who it is, right? Also your ideal customers. So this is, you know, the demographics and also the like, lifestyle, what does their life look like? But it's also their pain points, like what problems do you help them solve? And then the desires, like, what do you help them achieve? Like, how does your business work with these people and what's your relationship to them? Then it's also your brand voice and writing style. And this is where it gets like super awesome for getting ChatGPT to actually write content that sounds like you and that is going so much deeper than just writing a friendly tone of voice. Guys, like, friendly is probably one of the most generic descriptive words that you could use. And your brand is not bland. Okay? So if you think about the word friendly, even it's actually like has an umbrella of different descriptive words that could fall under it, right? You could be like bubbly friendly, or you could be like kind hearted friendly. You know, like there's a lot of nuances to the descriptive words you could use for your personality. And then also if you think about writing, it's not just personality, it's also your writing style, your formatting style. Your humor style is another, like super important one that I love. Because if ChatGPT understands like your sense of humor and can like understand how you kind of crack jokes or slip jokes into your content and stuff like, man, that makes such a difference for getting it to actually write content that sounds like you, right? So those are the three core strategies I really like to include in my brand blueprint. And then if you're using ChatGPT for like bigger strategizing thing or content creation, I also like to include my offer suite from my free lead magnets all the way up through my paid offers so that ChatGPT can really strategize for you. And then also your messaging, which is kind of like your content pillars, the message that you really want to share with the world, you know, and then also your brand storytelling, your personal stories and everyday anecdotes that kind of like make your brand a little bit more human. And that's another fun one that I love to think about too because you know, people are worried about turning their brands into robots. Well, it won't if you still lean into the human side of your brand, which a lot of that has to do with like your own personal lived experiences which only you know. But guess what? You can share those lived experiences with ChatGPT and then ChatGPT can help you incorporate that into your content. Right, so those are the five core strategies that I swear by for I host them all in one giant Google document. My brand blueprint is 80 pages. I don't want to scare you. Most of my students and I up finishing their brand blueprints in like four hours. But yeah, it's a big ass document. But like when, when you can just like host all those things about your brand. One click file upload to ChatGPT. It can read it in like 10 seconds and then it's like having a second brain for your brand cause it understands all those things. It's like having an assistant that has worked for with you for like five years and knows your business as well as you do.
Michelle Thames
You know, I am loving this conversation and I'm sure we could go like on and on for hours like to talk about ChatGPT because, because it is just that good. And I know that you've like done entire reels using ChatGPT. So. Have I. I know you have created entire reels and that sounds so amazing for creators who want to save time. What does that process look like for you?
Kenzie
Yes. I'm so glad you asked me about this because this is like one of those things I love because guys, I always have to say I had to have a come to Jesus moment with myself about Instagram because I was feeling just like I wasn't showing up right? I was putting too much like emotional pressure on my. I was like just feeling so drained creatively and then waffling over hitting the post button, like is this good enough? You know what I mean? And so I was like, okay, how can I come up with an easy way for ChatGPT to help me? Like how can I make this the easiest on myself possible, right? So I came up with what I call the scroll and screenshot method. It's a very low lift way to create easy reels with ChatGPT for me at least. So I will just like, like scroll Instagram for inspiration. And guys, it truly is productive if you're screenshotting and scrolling. Like I Am about to tell you because I always laugh because people are like, scroll for inspiration. You're like, really? You're okay. But anyway, this can be productive, guys. So I will literally just scroll through reels and I'll find inspiration for reels that are, like, trendy, you know, that have, like, cute little hooks or interesting things. Or I'll pay attention to, like, what makes me stop my scroll, you know, and, like, pay attention. And when I find a reel where I'm like, ooh, I would love to recreate this for my brand, I. I'll screenshot that reel. I'll upload it to my ChatGPT phone app. And my ChatGPT is already trained on my brand and all that stuff, so already knows all this stuff. And literally I just say, help me brainstorm ways I could recreate this for my brand, right? And man, it is so easy. And usually they're just like reels that are either, you know, B roll video with text on the screen kind of thing, so it's super low lift and easy for myself. Or I'll do, like, meme reels. I love doing meme reels, and ChatGPT understands my sense of humor, and it can also understand, like, the trending meme reel and stuff. And so those are so fun and they get a lot of engagement as well. But, yeah, ChatGPT will easily help me come up with hooks for them just based on that screenshot. From there, I'm just like, help me write a caption for this. And it's already trained on how I write captions. My brand voice, and also my CTAs for my offers that lead to my freebies and whatnot and stuff. So the whole process, like, I create reels in, like, five minutes with, like, just screenshotting and scrolling and quickly just doing the whole thing. And then I hit the post button or schedule it out and I don't have to, like, it just feels, like, so much less emotionally involved in that way too. For whatever reason. Like, I'm like, not waffling anymore. I'm just like, let's show up for my brand. And it's just been feeling really great. And yeah, I've been showing up more consistently than ever and actually getting way more engagement than ever, I think just because I showing up more and, like, having fun with it, you know?
Michelle Thames
And I love your strategy of using chat to do reels because I think that that is super awesome. And I'm so glad that you gave us that breakdown. So I know people who are listening who might be wanting to dip their toe into AI without feeling overwhelmed. Because it can be a lot. It can be overwhelming. Like, get me. It's like you're doing all these things, emails and all the things. But what is the first step or the first workflow that you to want would suggest to someone just starting out with AI and Chad GPT?
Kenzie
Yeah, I mean, it's kind of one of those things. It's. It is so overwhelming. There's so many things you could do with chat. So the very first thing that's so easy is to literally just start a free ChatGPT account. It's chat GPT.com and you just open it up. It's free. The free version is really like actually great, especially when you're just starting out. And literally I would just open up a new chat window and just set a timer for two minutes to just brain dump about your business. Right. Just introduce yourself to the chat. Just say, hi, my name is Kinsey. My brand is Authentic AI. I help down to earth solopreneurs use AI tools authentically. Here's a little bit about what my offers are. You know, just like, introduce yourself to ChatGPT. Say, how do you think you can help me? Ask the tool how it can help you. And that's just a great way to get the conversation started. Aside from that, I love to think about what are the everyday workflows that you do often. Right. That are repeatable that you do all the time. Right? So for me, I have a content creation. I have podcasting, man, that's a big one for me that I just do all the time and it's super repeatable process. So take a look at those systems and workflows that you do all the time in your business and just get curious about the different steps within the workflow. You don't have to totally AI ify and revamp the entire workflow. No, instead, take a look at the workflows you already have in place that are working for you and take a look at the steps and be like, could AI speed up this step for me? Or oh, could AI take care of this thing that I hate to do? So for me, it was the podcast show notes. I'm sure you understand, Michelle. I hate writing podcast show notes because by the end of the episode I'm like, what are we talking about? Like, my brain is mushed. So like ChatGPT, I upload the transcript to ChatGPT. It writes my podcast show notes for me. It's already trained on like my formatting for My show notes because I'm a weirdo and like to use little stars instead of bullet points, like that sort of thing. But man, that has just been been so nice. And speeding up, writing podcast show notes that probably would have taken me a good 20 minutes, like on a good day before this. Now ChatGPT spits them out in two minutes. And just like those little areas where you can speed up your workflows or take care of tasks that you just drag your feet to do. Like get started slowly. One day, one tool, one task at a time. And slowly it'll start to snowball and pretty soon you'll be like, like, holy crap, I'm saving 15 hours a week, which is actually my average. I did the nerdy math and I've been averaging saving 15 hours a week on tasks, which is just amazing. Mind blowing.
Michelle Thames
Yes. No, this. Oh my gosh, you guys. This has been so eye opening, Kenzie, and honestly refreshing. And so I hope that anyone listening, if you have been a non chatgpt believer, that today we make a believer out of you and you start to leverage this tool like you said. Said, as an assistant in your business, I feel like you make AI feel less intimidating and way more doable. So thank you for sharing all of that. But before we wrap up, I want you to tell where people can connect with you and get access to your trainings. Like the AI Reels club, which I am definitely. That sounds so cool. And the. The brand blueprint for ChatGPT.
Kenzie
Yes. So my AI reels club is a super fun prompt library that I have where I have just added a bunch of AI prompts for reels, reels, hooks and captions. It's honestly, guys, just all during all of my scrolling for inspiration sessions that I've already done, I'm like, ooh, I should turn this into a repeatable prompt that I could use again and again. Right? And then share it with my people. Right? So yeah, my AI Reels club has like a bunch of canva templates and AI prompts to make making reels easy peasy for you as possible. That's DIY with AI slash. Reels is where you can find it. And then yeah, our brand blueprint is the training method that I swear thereby for AI tools. And it is just basically an online course where I walk you through the process of creating your brand blueprint with ChatGPT. I have lots of prompts in there that help you outline those five core strategies of your brand so you don't have to do it alone. Guys, chatgpt does most of the work for you, which is how we can create an 80 page document in like four hours because otherwise I know, but yeah, that is DIY with AI slash blueprint. And then you can always just go to my DIY with AI website and I have a a bunch of freebies there and just awesome resources and a podcast as well which Michelle has been a guest on. So I'm so grateful for that as well.
Michelle Thames

In this enlightening episode of Social Media Decoded, host Michelle Thames delves into the transformative world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Kenzie, the creator of Authentic AI. The conversation centers around integrating AI into business workflows while preserving one’s unique brand voice and combating the intimidation many entrepreneurs feel toward AI technologies.
(Timestamp: 03:53)
Kenzie shares her personal transformation from an AI skeptic to a passionate AI strategist. Initially wary of AI, fearing it would diminish creativity and critical thinking, Kenzie experienced an "epiphany" during a long drive that shifted her perspective.
Kenzie: "Instead of being against AI tools, I turned toward AI and got curious about how we can use these tools in a way that aligns with us."
(Timestamp: 04:14)
This shift led her to establish Authentic AI, aiming to help entrepreneurs leverage AI tools authentically without compromising their brand's integrity.
(Timestamp: 06:50)
Kenzie emphasizes a human-first approach to using AI, ensuring that AI tools complement rather than replace human creativity and critical thinking.
Kenzie: "Bring your own thoughts, ideas, opinions, beliefs, perspective, language to the tools and then tell your AI assistant all about whatever it is that you're thinking."
(Timestamp: 07:30)
By integrating personal insights into AI interactions, entrepreneurs can receive tailored assistance that aligns with their brand’s voice and objectives.
(Timestamp: 09:31)
The discussion highlights a significant gender gap in AI tool usage, with studies indicating men are twice as likely to use top AI tools compared to women. Kenzie articulates the implications of this disparity:
Kenzie: "AI tools have been proven to boost your productivity by 40%, which is like working two extra days per week."
(Timestamp: 10:15)
She underscores the importance of women embracing AI to bridge the productivity and income gaps, ensuring diverse perspectives shape future AI developments.
(Timestamp: 14:05)
One of Kenzie’s standout strategies is the Brand Blueprint for ChatGPT, a comprehensive method to train AI to emulate a brand’s unique voice.
Kenzie: "Your brand blueprint outlines your mission, vision, values, ideal customers, brand voice, writing style, and more, allowing ChatGPT to generate content that truly reflects your brand."
(Timestamp: 17:45)
This approach ensures that AI-generated content remains authentic and consistent with the entrepreneur’s personal style.
(Timestamp: 20:24)
Kenzie introduces the Scroll and Screenshot Method for creating engaging social media reels efficiently:
Kenzie: "I create reels in five minutes with just screenshotting and scrolling, making the process swift and less emotionally draining."
(Timestamp: 21:10)
This method allows creators to produce high-quality content rapidly without sacrificing creativity.
(Timestamp: 23:34)
For entrepreneurs new to AI, Kenzie offers actionable advice to ease into AI integration:
Kenzie: "Start slowly. One day, one tool, one task at a time. Soon, you'll be saving hours each week."
(Timestamp: 25:00)
This gradual approach ensures that entrepreneurs can adapt to AI without feeling overwhelmed.
(Timestamp: 26:44)
Kenzie highlights her specialized resources designed to empower entrepreneurs in their AI journey:
Kenzie: "My brand blueprint is like having an assistant that has worked with you for five years and knows your business as well as you do."

These tools are crafted to simplify AI adoption, making advanced strategies accessible to all entrepreneurs.
