Wix.com be dropped okay, now I want to get into it. I love hosting events and I think that they are amazing. But I want to talk about the first case study which is revamping one of my clients affiliate programs. And this is a recent a recent project that I worked on for one of my beauty clients. And their goal was their goal was really to breathe new life into their affiliate community to help drive engagement and empower affiliates to create high quality content for the brand. Sounds straightforward right? But here's the challenge. They already had a program in place but it wasn't really generating the energy or results that they wanted. So I decided to revamp this whole entire plan. Okay. The first part of my strategy was the kickoff call. I created and hosted a Zoom Call to introduce the revamped affiliate program. My team and I managed the promotion, which included posting about the event on social media, but also all the behind the scenes. The Zoom call set up the slides for the event, what the affiliate program updates and all that would be about the process, how to create this Slack channel, all those things, we handle all of the logistics. Okay. We had 115 people register for the call. It was a great sign that the messaging really resonated. And during the call, during the Zoom session, we broke down the program's benefits, explained the tools available to affiliates and shared content tips to help them succeed. The call wasn't just informative, it was really engaging with plenty of question and answer time. People were asking questions. We also entered introduce the private Slack community for the affiliates to connect, share ideas and get support in real time. The results, 115 people signed up for the call, 65 people attended, which is a 56% show up rate, well above the industry average of 35 to 40%. So far, 70 affiliates have joined our Slack community. Now, this wasn't just about numbers. I really want to create an engaged group of affiliates. This is the beginning of the program, so I will keep you updated. But the energy is really amazing and I think that this has potential to really, really be something and I'm really excited. And the takeaway is that if you're managing an affiliate program, the key is engagement. I think you really want to create a space where affiliates feel supported, provide them with the tools and guidance and build a community where they feel valued. The results will speak for themselves. Many people just want to create programs, but they don't have anybody to manage it or manage the affiliates or build that. And that is what's missing. And that is what I put in place for my clients. Being that person that can manage the community, that can manage the zoom calls, that can manage the content that's being provided to the affiliates. Who's posting content, all the things. Okay? And so that's what I do for my clients. And this has been a success and I'm really excited to see where this revamped affiliate program goes. Now let's talk about the case study number two, a high ticket webinar. Okay, so I've been doing webinars for a while. Let's shift gears to another exciting project, a high ticket webinar I hosted for my travel client. Now, their goal is to sell luxury trips. Okay. Priced at $5,000 and above. Selling high ticket offers requires a strategic approach and this webinar was no exception. And so the strategy the team came up with a plan to host some events on Saturdays during Black Friday during November and it was really exciting. So a high ticket webinar again that I hosted and that was the goal. So we built a webinar around the unique value of the trip that we were trying to sell and showcase this destination. This it was an exclusive experience and the personalized service that the clients will receive every slide and every word was designed to address like the client's pain points and highlight the dream experience and remove those objections too from what is going on. So really exciting about that now. High show up rate. We didn't just send one email and cross our fingers. We definitely had a comprehensive email and reminder campaign. We use engaging social media content and made it easy for attendees to RSVP and join. During the webinar my team hosted and managed the behind the scenes elements from monitoring the chat, addressing live questions and we really focused on presenting without worrying about logistics. So I was presenting on this call as well as my team was managing the call and the results. It was nine trips sold on the call. It was really amazing. The show up rate exceeded 50% compared to the average 30 to 40% for webinars. And again, it's not just about selling trips. It was about building trust with the audience and showing them value of investing. Investing in an unforgettable experience with my clients business. Webinars are really effective for selling high ticket offers, but I believe that the magic is in the details. Strategic promotion, a well crafted presentation, an offer that's irresistible only available on that call. I can tell you that the reason why we're able to sell nine trips was because there was a time limit on the offer and it was to be in 24 hours. So definitely a well crafted presentation and flawless execution when done right create really instant return on investment. Now before we wrap up, let me highlight another event that shows the power of community. We had a Christmas bingo party. I love to do online community events as well for my client. We help manage the online community and this wasn't a sales focus event now, but it brought in 57 attendees on a Wednesday night. It was light hearted, fun and really showed the importance of nurturing audience. Events like this really do strengthen relationships and build loyalty with your community which ultimately leads to long term success. The key takeaway from that event is that community focused events remind us of our audience and why they love being a part of our brand. Whether it's a fun game night or informative webinar, I feel that connection is key. So what's the key takeaway from all of this? Online events, whether they're affiliate program, high ticket webinars or community celebrations, are really powerful tools for growth, but they are only as good as the strategy and execution behind them. If you're thinking about hosting an event but you don't know where to start, my team and I are here to help. In the episode titled "Maximizing Engagement and Revenue – Behind the Scenes of Successful Affiliate and Webinar Strategies," Michelle Thames delves deep into the strategic approaches behind two significant projects: revamping an affiliate program and hosting a high-ticket webinar. Additionally, she highlights the importance of community-centric events, illustrating how these strategies have propelled her clients toward remarkable success on social media.
Michelle begins by discussing her recent project for a beauty client aiming to rejuvenate their existing affiliate program. The primary goal was to "breathe new life into their affiliate community to help drive engagement and empower affiliates to create high-quality content for the brand" ([04:05]).
The client's previous affiliate program lacked the desired energy and results, necessitating a comprehensive overhaul to foster a more engaged and motivated affiliate base.
Kickoff Zoom Call: Michelle orchestrated a Zoom call to introduce the revamped affiliate program. This included meticulously designed slides outlining program updates, benefits, and tools available to affiliates.
Promotion and Logistics: Her team managed the entire promotion process, utilizing social media posts and behind-the-scenes content to attract participants. "We handled all the logistics, from promoting the event to setting up the Slack channel," Michelle explains ([04:05]).
Engagement Tactics: During the call, the team facilitated an interactive session with ample Q&A time, fostering a dynamic environment where affiliates could ask questions and engage directly with the program's leaders.
Community Building: Introduction of a private Slack community allowed affiliates to connect, share ideas, and receive real-time support, enhancing the sense of community and collaboration.
Registration and Attendance: The event saw 115 registrations with a 56% show-up rate, significantly higher than the industry average of 35-40% ([04:05]).
Community Growth: 70 affiliates joined the Slack community post-event, indicating strong interest and engagement.
Michelle emphasizes, "If you're managing an affiliate program, the key is engagement. Create a space where affiliates feel supported and valued, and the results will speak for themselves" ([04:05]).
Engagement is Crucial: Building an engaged affiliate community leads to higher quality content and better performance.
Comprehensive Management: Effective management involves hosting interactive events, providing necessary tools, and fostering a supportive environment.
Shifting focus, Michelle recounts her experience hosting a high-ticket webinar for a travel client aiming to sell luxury trips priced at $5,000 and above. The objective was to "sell high-ticket offers through strategic and engaging webinars" ([04:05]).
Timing and Promotion: The team scheduled webinars on Saturdays during the Black Friday period in November, capitalizing on heightened consumer engagement. They employed a "comprehensive email and reminder campaign" paired with engaging social media content to maximize attendance ([04:05]).
Webinar Content: Each webinar was meticulously crafted to highlight the unique value of the luxury trips, showcasing exclusive experiences and personalized services. Every slide addressed client pain points and emphasized the dream experience, aiming to "remove objections and build trust" ([04:05]).
Event Management: During the webinar, Michelle focused on presenting while her team managed behind-the-scenes elements such as monitoring the chat and addressing live questions, ensuring a seamless experience ([04:05]).
Sales Achievement: The webinar successfully sold nine luxury trips, demonstrating the effectiveness of the strategy ([04:05]).
High Attendance: The show-up rate exceeded 50%, outperforming the typical 30-40% for similar webinars ([04:05]).
Michelle reflects, "Webinars are really effective for selling high-ticket offers, but I believe that the magic is in the details. Strategic promotion, a well-crafted presentation, and an irresistible offer are key" ([04:05]).
Strategic Promotion: Effective marketing campaigns significantly enhance webinar attendance.
Engaging Content: Tailoring the webinar content to address specific client needs and aspirations fosters trust and encourages high-value sales.
Operational Efficiency: Efficient management of webinar logistics allows the presenter to focus on delivering value, ensuring a professional and impactful presentation.
Beyond affiliate programs and webinars, Michelle underscores the importance of nurturing community relationships through non-sales-focused events. She shares the success of a Christmas bingo party hosted for her client, which attracted 57 attendees on a Wednesday night ([04:05]).
Event Purpose: Designed as a light-hearted and fun event, the bingo party aimed to strengthen relationships within the community rather than drive immediate sales.
Engagement Strategy: By focusing on enjoyment and interaction, the event fostered a sense of belonging and loyalty among participants.
Michelle states, "Community-focused events remind us of our audience and why they love being a part of our brand. Whether it's a fun game night or an informative webinar, that connection is key" ([04:05]).
Relationship Strengthening: Non-sales events play a crucial role in building long-term loyalty and a strong community foundation.
